Hannibal rants Part 2

Hannibal spoilers below. I got more to say lmao

I plan on finishing S2 today so expect more ramblings

I get the feeling Will is doing all of this to be considered more of an equal to Hannibal and get even closer to him in order to find another way to expose him. Considering killing Freddie Lounds and Randall Tier has affected him in similar ways that killing Garret Jacob Hobbs, this is the vibe I'm getting. At first I was thinking "...wtf Will, what have you done?" But now I think it's making more sense.

Hannibal is like literally opening up to him like serial killer to newbie killer, talking about his sister and how he was her guardian, like candid shit. I explains why he cared as much as he did for Abigail, and I think we did know about his sister because he might have told her...it's been too long between episodes for me to remember but I get the feeling he did. Hannibal also regrets taking Abigail away from Will as well but felt.it was necessary, but it does seem like he regrets he "had to" kill her, nay, sacrifice her. It's showing a side of Hannibal's character we saw a bit of but never in this way with Will.

And don't get me started on those dinner date nights (that I will not be calling anything else until further notice, I will be taking no questions at this time). Like sure the show has been queer baiting pretty hard but it's going full throttle in this part of the season. Like damn I understand the focus I've been reading now just crafting beautiful kissing scenes that work so well because the show like hands this sexual tension to us on a platter.

Also can I just fucking mention the sexual fuckin way them eating those poor tiny birds was shot? Like fuck I'm disturbed but ART

Greys Anatomy has so many great platonic relationships and it's the part of the show that I enjoy the most and gets me to cry the most. I've been thinking so much about Derek and Cristina since, well season 7. That was one heck of a season of them. Like their dynamic of caring for each other because they care for Meredith and in the end they care for each other for real. Derek got married with Meredith and Cristina came with (see how differently Derek treats their relationship in comparison to Burke and fucking. Owen. After a big at least) they're very big brother and little sister to me, especially with their storyline in season 7, but also just in general. They loved each other, they never thought they would actually. Do that. But they did.

Their final scene in season 10 is. So. Good. Because Cristina just kinda says it like she's surprised she's saying goodbye and Derek takes a few seconds to respond because neither can fully wrap their heads around it. And they hug, which is probably the only time we've seen them hug, and they hold hands for a second before Cristina turns around and leaves. And the look Derek gives her is a bit like the one he gave her at their fishing trip. Like there really is something so very big brother, so proud about the way he looks at her and just I love them.

And what really ruins in a good way that scene for me is that (unless something different has been mentioned i haven't watched s11) that was probably, definitely, the last time they saw each other alive, like in person. (They've definitely talked on the phone because Cristina and Meredith have talked on the phone and Derek is always around.) And then the next time she sees him is when she flies in for his funeral. Like yeah okay way to make me cry 10 times more about an already terribly sad scene.

It really is too bad Derek dies after Cristina left because I would've loved to see like her actual whole reaction to it, further than holding Meredith's hand at the funeral.
