( pour l'amour de la ciel ) Shoes firmly poised on the ground are being dragged forwards, the cook's arms wrapped around his captain struggling to keep him in place, contending with the disconcerting sensation of rubberised flesh elongating beneath his grasp as he tries his best to hold the other back. The kitchen countertop has a series of plates and trays scattered around, party food predominantly ready but not quite to the blond's standards, some finishing touches required before he'd be happy to serve them to the crew and guests.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤRoast beef with herb garlic butter glistens inside the oven, its aromatic scent engulfing the space. A tiered passionfruit layered cake set aside for the birthday boy is cooling, a bowl of thick yellow frosting having been prepared to be slathered all over it. "An hour... that's all I ask for!"

❝ meeeaat~ ❞ the straw hat captain is hardly listening, barely paying any mind to the limbs wrapped firmly around his middle as he slowly, steadily fights against the cook's attempts to restrain. pupils are dilated. his gaze is entirely focused on the spread of food laid out in the ship's galley, and the oven, where the mouth-watering aroma draws Luffy in — taunts him. drool is gradually starting to overflow and dribble from the lower edges of his mouth, much like a salivating hound. who let him near the kitchen in the first place?

❝ sanjiii, let go ! i'm hungry !! ❞ he whines, pulling a bit harder against the resistance, involuntarily stretching around where the blonde's arms meet his gut. legs and upper body lead, but the rubber man's abdomen is left behind.

wait another whole hour?? no way! he's ready to eat an entire sea king NOW.

I swear I listen to more than just videogame OSTs, these songs just jive well with the story and I often find lyrics distracting when brainstorming scenes. Regardless, the music I listen to is such an important part of my creative process and some of these songs really defined the scenes I now have locked in my head. So I figured it was only fair to give them the credit they're due.

I will continue to add to this playlist, and will note in comic updates when one of these songs is applicable!

never stop blowing up is so fun bc 99% of the time it’s near incomprehensible and high octane action and then every so often out of nowhere someone will make a character choice that sucker punches you in the gut. and then it’s back to the antics so fast you get whiplash

An integral part of UT/DR!! She's awesome!#WE ARE OFFICIALLY ON Day 2 BABY #yes- there is still a little everyman easter egg as well as some other things... ;)#I tried so many new and different things for these panels. I was a little nervous implementing them. But im having a lot of fun with it!#i try to put my own artistic enjoyment above all other things :) its what I strive for.#Angle's landing day! excited for the festivities!#Chara is feeling stabby :)#loved detailing Chara's hand in the last page. When I detail the hands- just know shits getting real #I'm really happy with how I was able to redraw Toriel here. christ sometimes I just wanna. steal a time machine & go back & sit down next to my 9-year-old self and just like. let them pull out their pokemon card binder & gush about their holographic gyarados or whatever. I'd just smile & ask questions about motherfukcing bulbasaur & tell my kid self that I thought they were a neat person, & someday they'd find other people who thought so too.

like i'm a grown adult who honestly finds most kids stuff boring, but. damn if i could go back & hang out with my baby self & listen to them ramble...just so they knew someone was listening. i would in a heartbeat. thinking about u kid

#wouldn't roll my eyes or check my phone or get bored or nothing #I'd just listen to that little dork & smile & encourage them & let them explain how their favorite gameboy games worked #i was the kind of kid my adult self would find annoying & uninteresting but like #most of the actual adults in my childhood felt that way too. including my dang parents.#and ya know sometimes they showed it. a lot of times without realizing it. and that messes a kid up #if you don't make an effort kids WILL recognize your disinterest and lack of attention.#kids deserve to have caregivers who show interest and engagement #even when it's over stuff that adults find boring. especially then maybe #your kid doesn't have to be fun or interesting or easy or well behaved to deserve positive attention #they deserve positive attention because they are YOUR KID #if love is unconditional then DISPLAYS of LOVE and AFFECTION must also be unconditional #not something that must be earned #telling your kid that you love them is not enough. that is step one out of like a thousand #if you just tell your kid you love them but you don't demonstrate affection and interest and patience and warmth and etcetera #your kid isn't gonna feel loved! I Love You will just become a trite phrase that they regard with mistrust!#bitch you gotta FOLLOW THROUGH
