here's my ramble about her design :D

so, my favourite thing about epic's circe that i wanted to carry onto my version is her playfulness. circe as a explicitly seductive figure is smth that makes sense but, i prefer drawing cheeky looking characters anyways. so, i went for this more playful energy with her. not saying she's not seductive, obviously. it's just not smth i focused on.

so, her skin is very similar to my helios design and the hair with that combo is somewhat reminiscent of a lion, i think. in fact, when it's not tied up, her hair looks like a mane almost and i think that's cool. i gave her lioness like eyes. and ofc she's got the lioness on her cloak.

so, her usual look doesn't include the cloak. mainly because i want her tattoo to be on full display but, i think it also shows just how safe aeaea is for her and her nymphs. also, it makes her look like she's quite relaxed with her life on the island.

for her skirt, i was originally gonna go pink but, i think the lavender fits her better. so, i made the pink a sidekick to that purple colour. i coloured moly in a similar way - with weird golden roots to match. i need to draw it properly cuz it looks kinda dumb atm but, i have a vision at least.

her tattoo is a stylised moly - and it glows with magic use - and it kinda looks like the caduceus - but not really - and it matches with my hermes' chest tattoo. just thought that was a fun thing between them :D (it's not supposed to correlate in any way. it's just a coincidence for those two)

also, she has moly in her hair. it needed a pop of colour and i thought that fit.

the colours of the clothes were looking to light on her so, i added the black as a test and ended up really liking it. the stark contrast between the bright colours with the black allude to danger. but, more importantly, it looks cool ✨

the weird yellow, triplet freckle things are there and idk why i put them there but it's cute and links to helios. however, i think i'm gonna give perse similar freckles - her's would be blue probably but, in the same places as her daughter.

also, she's tall :D

Long ranty list of stuff that majorly Sucked in s4 of tua:

- number one thing I loathe is the convenient way tua got their powers back. We get this brief vignette of them without their powers in episode 1, and then by the end of the episode they conveniently find the marigold and *voila* have powers. Where were the stakes? The consequences? Show me TUA struggling to adjust to powerless life. Five annoyed that he has to use the stairs to climb a four story building. Diego failing to chop expertly w knives. Luther struggling to open jars idk give me something. Don’t just do a six year time skip and ignore the mundane!

- Adding onto ^ that I feel like it would make more sense to me if we saw TUA without their powers for maybe 3 eps in s4, and they go through a mini Journey to get them back. Instead it’s like the entire hook of the s3 finale is immediately resolved in episode 1, it annoys me to no end

- Five working for the CIA I sorta get… cuz it’s sorta what he did with The Commission. So now unmoored and powerless he’d probably go back to that lifestyle. But Five, paranoid violent genius in the room Five, not noticing the completely obvious umbrella tattoo on his boss’ wrist?

- Jennifer being introduced, immediately shrugging off the fact that her entire town was murdered/a Truman Show sham, and joining Ben with basically zero questions

- Jennifer getting no character arc beyond she was born in a squid and she loves Ben

- Getting zero recognition that Reginald is an alien. Like. Hello?? You just found out your pos father is AN ALIEN! Are the siblings seriously not going to talk about this

- Also what year is s4 set in. Why do they always dial rotary phones but mention cryptocurrency? What is this universe where everybody knows Reginald and he’s colloquially referred to as “the elite?” Are Reginald and Abigail the… President and Vice President? King and Queen? Just some people who started a massive corporation and got rich?

- No mention of Grace is criminal. It would have made waaaaay more sense if the lady who played Abigail was actually played by Grace. And it would add some heart to Reginald as a character too. Otherwise, instead of secretly loving Grace his alien wife, Grace is just some woman who was alive in the 60s and Reginald made a replica robot mom of her in 2019. For some reason. Idk I feel like the puzzle pieces were all laid out and for some reason TUA writers did not assemble them

- No mention of Pogo or Ray is also incredibly disappointing. Allison betrayed her siblings in order to be with Claire AND with Ray in one universe, but he’s not even in s4. Why even included him in the end of s3 then

- Okay maybe I’m pulling a blank but who tf is Quinn? Why does he know Klaus? Why does he hate Klaus so much?

- Why does Claire know Klaus is immortal? Why is all of sudden cool w her mom having eye glowy powers? You have no questions about that Claire huh…

- It also made sense to me that Lila and Diego would hate domestic life… and to me it seemed like even introducing their kids (not one, but three) was sort of silly. We only really saw Grace at the birthday party and then it seemed like Lila and Diego would forget and then remember the kids existed at weird parts

- Five and Lila giving up searching for a way out of the subway stations six years in seemed sus. Yes, take a break/eat strawberries but why would you stop searching for a way back? You’re supposed to be the best agents in the commission so like… where did that grit/determination go

- Ben dying and being mutated with zero understanding of what was happening to him… just sucked

He also has a few rings and arm hair cuz...why not? lol ------------------------------------------------------------------------- . TOKI .His shirt is ripped n he too wears bracelets a skull belt rings and flared trousers just to be like skwiskgar (except his colours are reversed to give him his own flare) .Said flared trousers also have devil wings on the front lol .He has scars all over his body, but most the most notable scars are the ones on his face that imitate cat whiskers . Hes also missing a finger...dont ask abt it- .His love for cats is very apparent given his new little tattoo (possibly got it after really cool cat died lmao) .His guitar has reverse motifs to skwisgarr cloud themed with devil wings , His dosent radiate the same polished aura however, his was hand painted n looks a bit more tacky . But also Fadel destroying this shirt might indicate that Styles relationship with Fadel will get in the way of his friendship with Kant (or the other way around)

Storyline: Your best friend has finally come back from a mission and an opportunity comes up to hang out. You two decide to go to your favorite club with a couple of her task force friends. To your surprise things take an unexpected turn when you meet a  man named Konig and you two talk alittle and leave each other be after. But as your friend leaves with another guy after , and most of the others did as well, you realize you two are left alone. He asks if you want to stay at his place figuring your friend wouldn’t want to be bothered and you had no ride home due to living a good 2 hours away.. You agree and go, but things start to get out of hand after a couple more drinks.

Your feet hurt from dancing and you decided it was time to get another drink. You walk to the bartender and ask for a drink over the loud music and feel a light tap on your shoulder that slides it’s way down to your lower back. You turn around and smile, your eyes meeting your best friend whose leaning in to talk to you, while a guy behind her playfully grabs her waist and downs a shot. 

“Hey what’s up?”, you shout over the music. Grabbing your drink the bartender sat down next to you and taking a sip, slowly swaying to the music in the dim lit club.

“I’m gonna head out.”, she yelled over the music. She lifted her hands to signal the guy hugging her waist. 

“Are you gonna be ok with König?”, she asks. You stop swaying and tilt your head in confusion.

“Just me and König? Where’s everyone else?”, you look over to see König sitting at a two seat table by himself with a drink in his hand, eyeing the both of you. You look back at your friend whose now standing up straight, while the guy she entertains slowly kisses up and down her neck.

“They left because they have to do somethings in the morning.”, she rolled her eyes. You found it kind of rude to just up and leave without saying goodbye to everyone but you pushed it to the side. You nod an shrug.

“ You sure? ‘Cuz I’m probably gonna stay the night as his house”, she signals to the needy guy on her, raising her eyebrows up and down causing you  to giggle. 

“Yeah! It’s all cool.”, you say looking back over at König.

“Have fun!”, you shout waving at her as she leads the guy out of the club, while waving back at you.

 “I’ll call you later!” she mouths and with that, she’s gone.

 “Fuck,” you whisper to yourself. The smiling leaving your lips. “How the hell am I supposed to get home?”

Trying to figure out an answer to that question you decide to worry about it later and focus on going over to König. Taking a deep breath you slowly make your way over to him, hips swaying, your dress riding up alittle, and keeping your eyes on him. 

Even though you had talked before and considering how respectful he was, the way he watched the crowd of dancers  in front of him with a low hanging mask and full body gear on, he looked terrifying. Plus why didn’t he change into something more comfortable? 

You wonder if he keeps it on all the time and why. He looked like he was planning an assassination on someone in the crowd . You watched as his head was slightly down and his eyes pierced through the drunken crowd. He looked as if he was ready to kill someone.

 Your thoughts raced about how terrifying he looked and what he could do. That was until you got close enough to see his fingers picking at each other and his knees jumping up and down barely.

 “Is he nervous?” You ask yourself, a smile slowly forming on your lips.

“How could someone so big be nervous?”, you giggle slightly. If he wanted to he could fuck up anyone here in an instant without even trying. You reach the table and smile as his eyes meet yours.

“Hey!”, you say sitting down on the cold stool. A shiver runs up your back from  the sudden chillness, and you look down to adjust your dress. After pulling it down slightly you look back up to meet his eyes. He quickly looks away, his leg bouncing even faster.

“Hey.”, he says lowly, his accent slipping a little, he then clears his throat. It’s clear you caught him off guard a little by the way he seems like he doesn’t know how to react, his hands now in fists on his thigh.

You turn to face him better and scoot to the edge of your seat to hear him better.

“You ok?”, you ask, “You look really nervous.” He raises his eyebrows and sits up better, relaxing his elbow on the table, now acting calmly as if nothing happened. 

“Oh, of course, just a bit tired, you know? These boots are killing my feet.”, he says chuckling, looking down at his boots.

You laugh, “I felt that, these heels are killing me. Honestly I’m ready to head home.”, you say, bringing your elbows to rest closely to each other on the cold countertop, holding your head with your hands. Looking down you notice his leg suddenly stop bouncing and you look up at him. He’s not looking at your eyes though. You follow his gaze and notice your breast pressing together making your cleavage 10 times more noticeable, You blush and bring your arms to rest back down on your legs. You look up to notice König staring at you but quickly looking away as your eyes meet his. He clears his throat suddenly.

” Um, well I heard that it was a 2 hour drive from your place, so would you like to stay at mine for the night?”, he pauses , “I have a spare room you could stay in.” He says shyly. You look up and smile.

“That’s really sweet of you König, but I don't want to be a burden.”, you reply, scratching the back of your neck.

“It’s no burden, just helping a friend of a friend,” he chuckles meeting your eyes again, “Plus it’s dangerous getting an uber at this time. I don’t even think they would drive that far either.” he laughs, trying to brighten the mood. You think for a second before answering.

“ Well, ok. I guess. If it doesn’t bother you.”, a giddy smile forming on your face, ”Thank you.” 

“ Yeah, of course.”, he says standing up signaling for you too as well. You pull yourself up stepping next to him trying not to slip in your heels. 

“ Holy shit,”, you whisper, looking up. He was huge. He definitely looked huge when he sat but god damn, you didn’t expect him to be that large. Your face met the middle of his vest, and looking up he had to be at least almost two feet taller. That’s a big bitch, you thought. 

He looked down at you and you heart stopped as he leaned down next to your ear.

 “ You ready?”, he said lowly, his accent more prominent. You looked down quickly blushing, feeling yourself get hot. You nodded and started walking towards the exit. You stop suddenly feeling your wrist being pulled softly. You stop and look up to see Konig holding your wrist. His hand completely engulfing it in his grasp. Looking back down his hand was large and veiny, his nails well kept and his fingers soft. You couldn’t help but blush.

“ This is nice,”, you say admiring the house’s coziness. He looks at you and sets his keys down on the kitchen island next to a small pile of mail. 

“ Danke,” , he says nodding. Surprised by the foreign word, you wondered what language it was. Looking to get comfortable you spotted some island stools. You lowered your self onto one fiddling with your fingers.

“So,” you mumble, trying to break the awkwardness. “Where are you from?” you say, titling your head curiously. You watch his eyes flutter as he processes what you asked.

“Well, I’m Austrian if that answers your question,”, he says dryly, undoing the straps of his vest. He slips it off and you freeze at the sight of his build. He has large shoulders and a slim waist, with a muscular build down his arms and chest. Blushing you admire the small glimpse of him through his semi-tight shirt.

Turning around to set his vest on the counter he catches you looking and you avert your eyes quickly to your hands, nodding.

He nods again and rest his arms on the countertop, still standing, revealing a small glimpse of what’s under his shirt.

You smile widely at the question, and sit up suddenly, startling him a bit.

He takes a deep breath, not thinking clearly anymore. Trying to pull his thoughts together he takes another breath.

Forte swap au character intros part 2!!!

I love these so much genuinely I'm just so happy with where my art style's been at recently!

Ok I have a lot to say so it's under the cut. Remember; Spoilers for the og story!

I'll go from right to left since that's the order I designed them in (buckle in, this is a long one-)

Fubuki now has Spectral Projection. I liked the idea of giving it to her as she and Vivia are basically polar opposites so giving her his forte would really shake things up. Instead of calling her "Princess" and stuff, I think people would rather call her "Sleeping Beauty" and the themes of that fairy tale would end up seeping in to chapter 4, as well as its mystery labyrinth. Her hair flower is now a rose as a further reference to that. I used nightwear as references for her clothes, imagining them mostly being made out of more silky fabrics for that "rich girl" aura. I kept her hair down and messy and really just focused on making her look comfy. After all, if she's sleeping all the time, she should be in the appropriate attire for doing so, no? But thankfully The Chief gave her some wellie boots so she's not running around the city in soggy slippers. Her tattoos are now a string of stars on her collar bones to further emphasise the idea of dreams/sleep and also the "Z" in her name stands for "Zzz" because I thought they'd be funny. The last name "Bramble" is not only another reference to roses and sleeping beauty but also to Bram Stoker, the author of Dracula because yes, the vampire themes have been ripped away from Vivia and given to Fubuki instead!

Moving on to Halara- I knew right away that by giving them Time Leap, I should make them look more like a time traveller. Initially I wanted to try to make them look like they'd fit in well with the line up for the various Doctors in Doctor Who but unfortunately I couldn't figure out a way to do that without just... putting them in one of the outfits. So I instead decided to use steampunk as a main reference. I like to think that they stare at their pocket watch just to ignore people or as a passive aggressive way of telling them that they're wasting time. Their shoulder tattoo is meant to vaguely resemble an hour glass since that seemed appropriate. I had no idea what I wanted to do for their shirt under their coat so I settled on that black turtleneck tank top that makes the fangirls go crazy and made sure to give them Fubuki's necklace so that they can use their forte! The hardest part was deciding to give Halara goggles instead of glasses. They just seemed wrong without their glasses but it was just as wrong to have glasses and goggles? And so I settled on no glasses. (Mostly cuz I forgot to add them in and by then, I was used to looking at their empty face lol-) When they first arrived in Kanai Ward, Chief gave them the frilliest umbrella at the store because it had the same colours as their coat. Lastly, for their name chance, I changed it to "Clocksmith". It's the name of the profession for a watch mender, similar to Clockford and also "Smith" is the last name The Doctor uses when he needs to use a fake human name.

I'll be deadass, I did Vivia's design at like 3am and was running purely on vibes. So there isn't much perpousful intention behind him like the others. His hair now covers his left eye to make using Post Cognition much easier (sometimes it just activates on its own thanks to his eye already being obscured) but just underneath it you can see his tattoo; a big purple tear streak. I think I was watching a fnaf video at the time so. Marionette reference. Now you may be asking: Why is his hoodie so cropped? Why are his trousers so low cut? Idk- because I think it looks cool? I probably should've (and will in future) give him more bandages around his torso cuz looking at it now, that's not really that many. His big sleeves cover his hands and yes, I know that combining those sleeves with that stances just screams "Hatsune miku", that was completely accidental but I'm kinda here for it??? Gave him like 9 belts cuz I like drawing belts and I feel like his suicial ass would've been put in a real straight jacket at least once. People probably aren't sure if he's a real human entity anymore so Shinigami would probably call him a zombie. But nevertheless, The Chief makes sure he eats something at least once a day cuz his rib cage is definitely visible. For his last name, I changed Twilight to Midnight because it's got the "night" from Halara's "Nightmare" while still being a time of day.

And that's about it. Wow that's... a lot. Honestly if I didn't aspire to be a show runner, I'd probably settle for being a character designer. I'm super excited to show off what I've got in store of this AU's storyline but I've still gotta introduce a couple other characters first! ^vO

anyways, once the team gets good at teaming they haul off to take their lil ninja exams. who do they meet? some kid named Gaara with smudged eyeliner and shaved brows. he’s a red-head, that’s cute. oh and he can control sand and tries to kill every child in the exams because his dad is a piece of shit hipster. who else do they meet? a kid named Rock Lee who can kick really hard, a girl named Tenten who wishes for all of us to stfu, and poor Neji who can’t keep doing this. there’s also some guy named Guy. yeah, the chunin exams nearly flop because Gaara doesn’t know how to act right.

all this is happening but the pivotal of it all? Sasuke decides to be extra emo and FUCKS OFF TO KILL HIS HALF BLIND SICKLY OLDER TWINK BROTHER.

then, Naruto decides he wants to harness his powers and FUCKS OFF WITH AN OLD ASS BUSHY HAIRED MAN WHO WRITES PORN. Jiraiya needs to be studied on a microscopic spiritual level. he is why SCP’s exist.
