A thought I want to put somewhere: All this horrible anti-feminist tradwife bs backlash going on right now depresses and scares the shit out of me. And it also makes me really fucking glad Taylor is as huge as she is right now, as an openly feminist woman who's been so hugely and overtly committed to running her own life and business and very publicly chose being single over a man b/c she knows she deserves better and isn't afraid of asserting it. It makes me really fucking glad the biggest tour in the world right now has featured so many female artists, so many of whom are lesbian or bi, some of whom are even gnc lesbian women. It makes me REALLY fucking glad the re-records -- an exercise entirely about a woman gaining real, material power over her own life -- have become a phenomenon. We desperately need a counterweight as huge and electric and meaningful as Taylor rn. I work in irl feminist activism and honest to god, Eras has been a guiding light to me during this miserable post-Roe summer.

i'm glad taylor can be this for you! also it is really interesting (and i think about this a lot) to consider how, politically, the world is so hostile towards women, but socially women and femininity (a narrow scope of it, at least) are dominating a lot of the culture. i feel like political movements often have a counterbalance or reaction in the culture - i want to believe it's a sign of progress today but i do also worry it's a sign of bad things to come 💀

Okay! So I know this might be a bit random, BUT, I have a theory! So all this is based on insta posts, interactions, time lines and connections so it could be 100% wrong.

But basically, a bit before Y/n went to the Eras tour we all know she was a BIG fan of Taylor. And of course she has a brother who is famous (also 2 others). And with that connection to F1 she knew the Alphine drivers, and with that Ryan Reynolds. And as we know Ryan’s is Blake’s wife who is Best friends with Taylor. So when Ryan went to the race he met Y/n cause they where both at alphine garage cause Y/n went to see Kika.

So my theory is; Y/n and Ryan met, they talked (and as some of you know, Y/n is also in love with movies/ marvel and with that Deadpool) so they began talking about that. And because Y/n has a education in Art and English + French we know she made suggestions for the new deadpool movie (confirmed by Ryan), and I don’t think that happens when she was with Kika and in the garage. So they prolly met up some time/messaged or mailed, so they kept in contact.

And am saying that cause if she knew Ryan and met him, she probably met Blake. (And we know she loves gossip girl) so they probably also are friends or at least acquaintances.

This is only one side now on to the real thing!; as we know Y/n went to the Eras Tour, and apparently got invited by Taylor Nation, and besides that got a cardigan (and original one!) plus a lot of CD’s and LP’s. So why would they give that to her? She’s not an influencer or someone famous? And to our information, they aren’t friends.

So I think that Y/n and Taylor met at one of Blake and Ryan’s gatherings/party’s, they are getting talking cause Taylor LOVES hard English words and Y/n has an English degree, they maybe exchange phone numbers, and became friends. Y/n went to the tour, they talked back stage maybe hung out a few more times. Now after this we don’t really have any more info, but with how much Taylor Nation has commented on Y/n’ posts, and with the teasing from her brothers, I think something is going on.

Also i have a small 2nd Theory that is really short; so as we know, Y/n is friends with Gracie and Laufey, and they both opens for Taylor, so Taylor and Y/n could have met through them (like at a party, at the house or smt else)

Like there isn’t a lot of time between her going to the party and her going to the Eras tour, so if they met there than there is quite a small time space for them to have gotten to know each other and to maybe start dating.

tbh i'm turned off even reading new buddie fic despite being a multishipper and have unfollowed a bunch of buddie accounts because i'm sick of the smug attitudes. one ask that i am otherwise not going to publish or respond to ended with 'sorry you don't understand media literacy bestie :)' fuck off. listen INFANT, i have been writing fanfic and original fic AND watching, reading and analyzing queer media since before you were born, i understand how character and story development works, and i know the difference between 'storyline i personally disliked' and 'bad writing.' this was BOTH, and it also was marketed to us as 'carefully crafted bi rep' and 'queer love story that is not about a bunch of pain and conflict FOR ONCE' so we have every right to be upset at the bait-and-switch.

the fact that i'm seeing the same exact posts - 'bt bones buddie CANON' that i saw three seasons ago after the bucktaylor breakup, or every time they thought buck and taylor MIGHT break up - says something. the fact that so many fans seem genuinely convinced (STILL!) that buddie is inevitable because there have been so many 'signs,' and then they rattle off a convoluted theory that would make the most hardcore taylor swift stan say 'wow, that's a bit of a reach,' honestly weirded me out a little when i first joined the 911 fandom. i have never been in a fandom where so many fans are insistent that their ship will be - not might be or could be, but WILL be - canon. i am skeptical both from past experience with other shows mishandling queer storylines or ship-baiting, and tim minnear's proven track record with this one of not really knowing what to do with buck's LI's. but i didn't want to yuck anybody's yum, so i let them have their theories and squee in peace, and unfollowed or blocked certain tags if i was seeing too much of it and getting annoyed. it's too out there for me, but i'm glad they're having fun!

yet they can't give us the same courtesy. they deride us as delusional for thinking that a canon pairing that was presented to us both in promo and the show itself as different and important (eg the bobby approval convo and 'buck getting off the hamster wheel') might last, and we're stupid to have ever liked tommy or lou or be disappointed at how the breakup was written, and if we point out the biphobia it's just sour grapes.

the bucktommy breakup is not the first time 911 has started out strong with an interesting storyline and fumbled it in the 4th quarter either because the writers got bored or in the name of needless drama/a 'gotcha' sudden twist. amir & bobby, eddie's fight club arc, the sperm donor SL, hen vs councilwoman ortiz, whatever the hell is going on with harry, the whole mess with shannon/kim, just to name a few. and especially the past couple of seasons, for me since 6b, the pacing has been off. they seem to have too much happening at once and many of the storylines don't have enough room to breathe to be narratively satisfying, or they get resolved in ways that feel lackluster.

if the toxic buddie stans who have been attacking lou on sm and sending death threats (wtf!) actually get what they want, which i admit is possible, but it's certainly not guaranteed….i don't know why they think the writers won't fumble that just as badly. it's not going to happen precisely the way they want it to because it is impossible to please everybody, that's what fanfic is for. but at this point i have zero faith that it would even be well done at all, and zero trust in the writers not to just sabotage or regress a character for funsies, and that's an excellent reason to stop watching the show. in most of my other fandoms i regard canon as a jumping-off point or a blurry outline at best, and i can have just as much fun in the 911 sandbox without any further input from canon at all, once i'm less angry.

Obviously no one is going to like every single piece of art ever, and it's, imho, really human to be a "hater" to some degree! No one gives af if you think a certain writing or acting style is cringe, but if you think the fans are cringe, that says more about you than it does about the fandom.

He's a bastard and usually not a good father but also complex and should be dissected under a magnifying glass. I love him dearly. He's also just the worst. I think that's why I love him. I'm always a fan of unabashedly Complicated Asshole Bruce who's generally not always the best person, particularly not to the Batfamily and that being the driving force of his relationships with them, especially in shipping.

And for bonus points, Tim. Because know above all else, I'm a Tim Drake kinnie /deg. He's been my number one for a decade and I've yet to uproot him from my brain. for this dr specifically i scripted i'd be friends with the pjo cast (obviously) but i also scripted in my own friend group from school whom i adore very very much so i'm gonna write about them <3

note: i am currently doing online school because of the busy schedule i have. besides the percy jackson tv show premiere, i'd miss basically an entire semester since i'm filming the "how to train your dragon" live-action in ireland in a couple of months, therefore there are no other options for me. all this to say that i don't see my friends in school anymore but we all live in the same city so we still meet up very often!

i won't go into too much detail: my friend group consists of sadie, laurie, felix and will and this is what i can share - coming from my own script:

we all usually meet at cafés to study all together or in parks to catch up. they always tell me the ultimate gossip from school and i in return share my experiences, stories from set and things that have been happening in my life. to be honest, though, i mostly try to avoid talking about my career to keep things as normal as possible. they all support me a lot and i love them for it but i don't want to make them feel weird around me because of it, if that makes sense?

He was invested in Rock, of course. The side effects of being a younger sibling to a big family, but Hermione helped him explore other interests as well. Helped him be more brave in what he liked. Helps him stand out a little as well, since Bill is more into the alternative/emo/goth aesthetic types or Rock. One Republics ‘Run’ speaks to him a lot. Musicals. She just can’t pick a genere. Growing up with six brothers gave her a love of different types of music. So if you ask her what she likes, she will say musicals. Musicals have so many types and moods. It’s perfect for whenever you don’t know what to listen do. In a romantic mood? High energy? Even depressive gothic? There’s a musical for it. She’s learned to keep her mind open, and invest in different interests. Her favorite song really depends on the mood she’s in, or vibe. But if you had to twist her arm, it’s gonna be that classic Merry Poppins Step In Time. It reminds her of her brothers, whenever they had to do spring cleaning together. two: taylor distanced herself from/turned on olivia (i still don't know the details of the deja vu suing case so i won't make assumptions as to what exactly happened between them) as soon as olivia started threatening her fame. in my biased opinion, i would also say that olivia is a better songwriter and overall artist than taylor (i love her guts album), and taylor didn't like seeing that a young artist could potentially outshine her. so they're not friends anymore. taylor then latched on to sabrina because she wasn't as threatening to her career as olivia was, but now that espresso has the potential to top taylor's song on the charts, swifties are turning on her too. and if this continues, i have no doubt that so will taylor. (side note: espresso is such a fun summer bop!)

sorry this took me so long to respond to. personal life events are occurring and i also have the attention span of a goldfish now for some reason. im going to answer in order of your points:

one: swifties are the streaming farms they keep accusing sabrina of using. also taylor swift herself has probably bought and used streaming farms more than any other person on the spotify top 10 list. its this and taylor is sinister enough to drop new releases to block artists from getting #1’s (she did this recently with billie right?). also swiftie chart obsession just shows how insecure they are??? toxic by britney spears never went #1 and its her most popular song. i’ve never seen a fanbase as insecure as swifties because the way they lash out over even the perception of a threat towards taylor is just…so inappropriate? its such a disproportionate reaction to whatever the “threat” is (in this case, charting). like the fact swifties keep coming into the anti tag just demonstrate how intensely insecure they are. no other fanbase is so fragile they go out of their way to go and bully people for not liking their fave. like its usually the other way around, antis harassing stans. but you have swifties coming into the anti tag (where we appropriately tag and do not engage with swifties) and harassing us? for not liking her? in the anti tag? its really a testament to their insecurity that they must bulldoze anything that threatens them and their fave. which ties into the second point-
