A/n: Okay so if y'all haven't noticed by now I have a Thing™️ for the wings, so here's reader discovering that Lucifer also has a Wing Thing™️. Smut, but not in the conventional way? 👀 And, as always, They/Them pronouns for Lucifer. Thank you for the wonderful request anon! 🧡

They'd caught your eye the moment you met them; thick, dark, powerful. They only added to Lucifer's imposing stature, framing them beautifully as the Ruler of Hell. Over time you noticed just how connected they were to Lucifer, often reacting to whatever mood they should be in; tense and upright when angry, flicking when annoyed (almost like a face twitch), loose and fluttering when happy (but only in your prescence). Sometimes they even moved as though they were Lucifer's arm, pointing you in a certain direction or coming to wrap around you protectively. You'd come to love the wings nearly as much as you'd come to love Lucifer, and couldn't imagine one without the other.

You often wondered what they felt like, if it would be similar to the leather Lucifer often wore or something softer, like a butterfly wing. Time and time again you supressed the urge to reach out to them, worried it would cross some type of boundary, but late one evening your curiosity simply got the better of you.

Curled up together post-sex, Lucifer's head on your chest, you hummed happily as you always did when you lay together like this. Your fingers traced delicate patterns on their neck and shoulders, running down their spine between the base of their wings. Slowly, delicately, you ran just the tips of your fingers along the top of the wing, watching Lucifer's face for any reaction. Much to your surprise, they smiled, and brought their wing closer to you so it was easier to reach. You continued to gently pet them, switching from fingertips to knuckles, and to your absolute delight Lucifer clutched you tighter to them and began to let out small moans and whimpers. Several times they attempted to speak, but all that would come out was a squeak, then a moan, then a please.

"What? Does that feel good, my love?"

They blushed and nodded before burying their face in the crook of your neck.

"Please don't stop."

The roll of their hips against you set a fire in your lower abdomen, and you shifted slightly to place your thigh between their legs. They began to rut against you, the slick from between their legs coating yours, and you crooked your neck to whisper words of encouragment to them. Your hand worked its way along the wing, from tip to root, finally coming to gently massage where bone met flesh, and Lucifer could take no more. They came with a high-pitched whine, their body and wings shaking against you as you held them. It took a bit longer than normal for them to come back down, something you noted with great pride and pleasure.

"What... in Hell's name... made you think to do that?"

You chuckled at their breathless inquiry, pleased to have discovered something new for them as well.

"Truthfully I simply wanted to know what they felt like, however this was a much better outcome."

They squinted their eyes at the smirk plastered on your face, then rolled you on your back and flexed their wings playfully.

"Shall we try it again, then?"

In your own words, tell us what you like most about your MC / OC.

This little idiot just doesn’t stop. They are so damn resilient! I love their bravery, compassion and that Luca takes the time to make sure the people around him feel seen, heard and understood. Communication is important to him — he’s a little tactless or graceless with it sometimes, but he tries so hard to make sure the people he loves know it. I love how talented and inquisitive he is, and that he has such a strong sense of self — Luca just feels so bright to me, so vibrant and joyous. “Lightbringer” was an accidental name meaning, I just picked “Luca” at random when creating my MC because it felt right, but it really was the perfect choice for them!

2. Do you feel your MC / OC is like you at all? How are you alike or different?

Luca is much more impulsive than I am, and has a bigger social battery, but I think we are both the kind of people friends come to for advice and comfort. We are both musically inclined, both love hugs (probably more in my case), animals, and the beauty and magic of the natural world. I’m 6ft tall, Luca is tiny. Luca’s heritage is a nod to my own Scottish roots — my grandparents / great-grandparents emigrated from Scotland, and I’m lamenting the slow death of any Scottish cultural influence in my family’s day-to-day life as the generations pass. There are parts of me in Luca, sure, but ultimately they are very much their own person.

3. What is most important to your MC / OC? What is their motivation in life?

Authenticity, truth, and (this one might sound weird, but) movement. Luca will never be someone he’s not. For him, to live is to grow, to always seek out opportunities to find out more about himself and the world he lives in. 

They can’t stand being stagnant and idle, both mentally and physically; Luca is a dancer with a truly avid curiosity, so they just need to keep moving, no matter what they are doing. Right now for Luca, that means having intense, emotional conversations; breathing love into the world;  learning new skills; knuckling down on language studies; uncovering vampire lore; fighting to protect the ones he loves; doing a lot of introspective thought and trying to be a better version of himself with every day that passes.

4. What are their biggest pet peeves/dislikes?

Luca has a strong sense of social justice, so there are plenty of things that annoy them —particularly in regard to the treatment of other people; they’ll be the first to jump to someone’s defense— but in terms of more minor pet peeves, pertaining to him personally? Being called “bro” / “man” / “dude” by someone who obviously means it in a cisheteronormative way (and people who blatantly ignore the “they” aspect of their pronouns). Luca definitely picks their battles, and they are totally fine with being called any of those names by friends and family, but it often elicits an eyeroll coming from closed-minded and/or queerphobic people.

Also, early mornings. Luca is firmly of the opinion that mornings should be banned. No more mornings. The day doesn’t exist before 10am. He will never understand how Gabriel keeps getting up at dawn to go for a run. On purpose. That’s just wild.

5. If your MC / OC could change one thing - anything - what would it be?

Luca hasn’t had the easiest life, but it was one that led them to find Cas and Gabe. They would go through it all again and then some if it meant a life of loving those two and being loved by them in turn… but Luca sees how much Cas and Gabriel are hurting, too. How much they ache for a place of belonging. How deeply lonely they have been.

If Luca could change one thing, it would be for them, not himself. He’d bring back their parents. Choi Harin. Sofia Adalhard. Remiel Adalhard. He’d bring back Gabriel’s sisters, Raquel and Michaela. His grandmother, Sarah. His cousin, Joaquin. Cas’s halmeoni, Choi Miyoung. His harabeoji, Choi Yongho. Cas’s best friend, Ricky Harlow.

If Luca could steal them even a moment with the people they have lost, then he’d do it in a heartbeat. He knows it's an impossible dream, but that won’t stop him from making sure that, at the very least, Cas and Gabriel know they will always, always be a part of his family. That the O’Rinns will always be there to welcome them with open arms.

6. What is your MC / OC’s favorite quote or song?

Luca’s favourite song changes with the wind, but at the moment they are making good use of Hozier’s “De Selby (Pt1)” to practice their (rusty) skills on acoustic guitar, as well as their pronunciation of Irish Gaelic (which they’d like to be fluent in — Scottish Gaelic and Irish Gaelic share a root language, so they are very similar in many ways. Think Spanish to Portuguese!) Luca has a firm grasp of Gàidhlig, but the only fluent Irish-speaker in the family is their great aunt Morag. Given the O’Rinn’s ancestral ties to Ireland, Luca aims to fix that!

He’s also currently messing around with some original contemporary choreo to Lee Taemin’s “Just Me and You” and “Guilty”.

7. Is there anything else you’d like to share about your MC / OC? 

Luca has come to mean so much to me. I never intended to write about them when I first started reading ID —I had never written fanfic at all!— but the more I learned about them and fleshed out their backstory, the more I knew I had a story to tell. Rather than write a simple, short piece, fool that I am, I decided to dive right into a (currently) 250K+ word longfic centring on not one, but four romantic relationships (Luca x Cas; Luca x Gabriel; Cas x Gabriel; and the dynamic of the poly ship between all three of them). 

Despite being a retelling, I think “Starlight” gets a lot thematically heavier than Immortal Desires ever did, with a broader focus on worldbuilding and characterisation, and the experience of writing it has been so rewarding — I think in large part because of Luca.

I just adore them. So much. And I’m grateful to have them along for the ride while we find our way through this story together. There is no one else I’d rather have along for the ride. (Also, I’m sorry I make you suffer so much, sweet Luca. I promise your happily ever after will be worth every hardship 💖)

Summary: How does Gwen deal with her transmasc sibling who's dealing with dysphoria?

Warnings: Swearing, Slight Crudeness, Reader Goes by He/Him Pronouns.

A/N: These are more general headcanon's with the request also added in. Thanks for the request, Anon. Sorry that it's a lot shorter than my other stuff (I ran out of ideas). But, if needed, you can always request a part two!

Everyone has their own personal bouts of dysphoria.

But it doesn’t make it any less important when it comes to Gwen helping you deal with it. She feels like, as your sister, it’s her duty to make sure you’re feeling comfortable in your own skin each and every day, and so when there’s those occasions – whether they’re often or not – she takes them very seriously. Almost too seriously, sometimes. Though, that’s just who she is, she can’t really help it. 

It’s endearing, more than anything. 

For Gwen, it’s like second nature. Knowing when you’re feeling particularly dysphoric, and when you’re needing affirmations that correlate to your identity and who you truly are. She manages to be pretty subtle about it, too. Like when you get dressed for school or any other outing. You’re wearing the clothes that you find comfortable, that fit you, and she immediately notices you and calls you handsome with a teasing shove to your shoulder, just to embarrass you a little while simultaneously complimenting you. 

It’s her duty as a sister to tease you, just let it happen.

She’ll do other things to help you feel more like yourself, too. Like making sure to refer to you with your pronouns or your name more often than not, just to remind you and assure you that you are exactly what you identify as. Because the last thing she wants is for you to feel dysphoric or insecure about your gender. She’ll even go as far as to swing around town and buy you a gift that affirms you, too. Maybe a new hoodie or t-shirt, or something that you’ve personally had your eyes on for a while.

Once, she bought a t-shirt for herself that said: ‘I love my transmasculine brother’. 

She unironically wears it.

Says she likes the material, so that’s why.

You think she’s a dork for that.

Gwen would definitely beat someone’s ass, too, if they misgendered you or made you feel like you were lesser than them. Has one-hundred percent punched someone in the jaw after they blatantly went out of their way to use the wrong pronouns for you. That was literally after she corrected them as well, and they still didn’t listen. Sure, she was sent to the principal's office immediately after, but did she regret it? Hell no. Did your dad really care after he heard her reasoning? Hell no. 

He actually rooted her on, but like… discreetly. 

He is a cop, he has to uphold some form of professionalism. 

Gwen will sometimes go to the pharmacy and pick up your testosterone, if that’s something you choose to take. Always comes in through your window and hands you the supplies like some sort of magician that’s wondering if they plucked out the right card you had chosen. You’ll always internally wonder why she didn’t just decide to come into your room normally, but after so many times of her doing it, you just accept it and let it go. On top of that, if you’re someone who’s afraid of needles, or just absolutely loathes the idea or act of injecting yourself, she’ll do it for you – she doesn’t mind. 

She doesn’t even blame you, honestly. 

If you have top surgery, too – or just recently underwent the procedure, she’ll monitor you like a hawk. Making sure your drains aren’t leaking or anything, making sure your stitches haven’t come loose, or even just helping you put on a loose shirt – like a flannel, once you’re allowed to by your doctor. She’s pretty damn attentive towards you, especially since your dad is always at work, so he’s unable to personally help you himself. You’d almost prefer her to assist you anyway, though. Contrary to popular belief, your father is pretty squeamish, so the possibility of getting anything done would be low. 

She would get on your case about applying scar cream to your chest after you get rid of those stupid drains and are able to – finally – live out your day-to-day life without the restrictions your doctor forced you to abide by. Whether you’re fine with the marks healing or not, she doesn’t care. Put on the applicant or she’ll web you up and do it herself. She’s done it before, don’t test her. 

All in all, though, Gwen has got to be one of your biggest supporters. It’s hard to get her to not support you on something that makes you feel more comfortable in your own skin, as well as makes you genuinely happy. Of course, she’d definitely say you’re wrong and dumb if you think that pineapple belongs on pizza, but that’s entirely trivial in comparison to you being transmasc. You’re her brother, someone she’d do anything to protect. 

So to say she loves you a bunch, is an understatement. 

She’d flip New York upside down if it meant making you happy.

Ohohohoh boy alright here’s some little bits of ideas I had for the fused au

So as said before Jekyll and Hyde are still separate people, they have aspects that resemble a system with perma co-fronting to it (I’m not a system myself but I always try to double check with my partner who is part of one to make sure I’m not doing anything dumb with this. If there’s anything at all that seems inaccurate or anything like that feel free to let me know. I just included it because I feel it’s the best way to explain how they function in this state)

Again as mentioned before they have their own separate voices and are fully capable of taking turns speaking with said voices, however if they become stressed or can’t decide the right words to say right away they’ll just start talking over eachother as seen in the comic with Jasper. When they get tired or unfocused they have a habit of mumbling to themselves.

They upgraded pronouns lol, he/him and they/them

Early on when they were still freshly fused Hj7 would leak every now and again from their face, hence the stains you see on their shirt in the comic (“mom I frew up :(“)

Taking the Hj7 does pretty much nothing now apart from a small boost in their stamina, boost in strength, and some leaking from the face, splitting the human soul involved tapping into the bodies hidden strengths after all

Both Jekyll and Hyde have equal control over their body, so sometimes there are moments where Hyde will use one hand to reach for something shiny to steal observe and Jekyll uses the other hand to swat it away

Their current height is somewhere between the two of them, so their clothes are either just a smidge too big or a smidge too small. Hyde likes to look like a Christmas themed disaster while Jekyll tries to give their now mixed wardrobe some cohesion (with Rachel’s help)

Since they’re both technically in a new body and both are experiencing things at once they can sometimes get sensory overload

Once things calm down it’s more or less a “this is our get along shirt” sort of deal and are forced to confront how unfairly they’ve both been treating eachother, this was all caused by Jekyll trying to permanently get rid of Hyde after all.

While Hyde is still technically a part of Jekyll they’ve spent a whole two years growing in different directions as people, they have the same roots but their branches are entirely different and can’t assimilate back together seamlessly (which is something that I always disagreed with when looking at other fused aus, they’re still all cool and valid tho)

They develop a habit of biting their lip in order to prevent themselves from unintentionally speaking with both voices, they can now also have proper internal dialogue together but sometimes that’s hard to keep quiet.

I already like the ASD hcs (may or may not be projecting) people give the two of them so…they like to stim

7 - Do their genders fluctuate, or are they all their genders all the time?

Edith: she feels that her genders are sort of roots to whatever gender she's actively feeling, so while she's usually one or maybe two genders, there's always a tiny bit of all of them in her.

Corcra: she sometimes feels that she hits moments of alignment between them but even though it's not usually 100% exclusive she does feel that she's generally man or woman.

Me: like Corcra, my genders are more or less "man" and "woman" but even though they fluctuate I'm always kind of both of them. It's probably fair to say that mix is sort of its own gender, androgyne.

13 - How does their multigender identity impact their sexuality? Do they use multiple labels for it?

Edith: in terms of what she does in the bedroom and who she's attracted to, not really. But in terms of how she feels about it, the quality of her attraction, she has all kinds of ways to describe it that I haven't really been able to align with real-world labels. Like with her pronouns she generally simplifies it into just being bi, but she'll explain the nuances if people ask.

Corcra: on the one hand she's not really worried about it because she doesn't feel like she has to explain it to anyone but her husband. But on the other her attraction to him can feel very different depending on how she feels gender-wise. She's still bi regardless, but when she feels more man her label of choice would be vincian.

Me: I'm loose with my labels in general - I don't really see a shift in my sexuality but I'll use whatever feels right - bi, gay, queer, but generally masculine or neutral descriptors.

15 - Do they use any “conflicting” or “contradictory” labels (cistrans, manwoman, girlboy, fagdyke, lesboy, turigirl, etc.)?

Edith: the closest she comes is demigendervoid, which isn't exactly contradictory, but does underline how one of her genders is really just the lack of gender.

Corcra: I could see him using vincigirl but on the whole he hasn't really felt the need for a conflicting label.

Me: none of them have really captured me at this point but anything can happen.

50 - Wild card! Mention anything else you want! The more I got thinking about Edith the more I realized that she has a whole lot of genders going on (the current list is voidgender, gendervoid, dymanic, cedargender, stonegender, aporagender, woman) but this isn't really obvious to anyone but her and to a lesser extent her family. Leon has built up the ability to guess what gender she's feeling mostly based on what she's wearing and adjust his nicknames accordingly. Horatio unintentionally absorbed the idea that the state of being Mom means having multiple genders and he's mildly surprised when many Moms don't (gee, Bill, why does your mom only have one gender?). I think he also thinks the pinnacle of relationships is having at least one person with multiple genders (not that he'd ever break up with someone on those grounds, that would be silly)—which led me to think that perhaps he discovers he's the one with multiple genders and actually he's living the dream. But I haven't yet figured out how that shakes out.

It's coincidental that Corcra is also a (step)mom, but interestingly, she is a public figure (COO of Revalo's Tailory) and makes plenty of public appearances on talk shows and stuff so she's learned how to navigate being genderfluid with that. It's not always seamless, but he's really not too bothered about people getting things exactly right as long as they're being respectful. And he tries to make it as easy and obvious as possible for them. I said in the past that her stepson Mick made her a bracelet years ago that she wears as a sort of identification when she shifts into her canid form at the full moon and I'd like to think that he included the genderfluid colors, even if it's only meta (not sure if there are genderfluid colors in-world but I could believe it).

I think I've vaguely referenced my hoard of secret gender labels in the past but honestly, they're mostly variations on trans genderfluid androgyne faggot. I also mentioned recently wanting to take on she/her as some of my pronouns again, but I feel like that would just end up being an easy out for a lot of people who know me as a trans guy. I want to be she/her in a queer gender way, and that's just not how people are going to see it.

whew like ok i work in dei, mostly for youth (sport, schools, etc) but also doing lgbtq 101 workshops for upper level execs who run big sports orgs, school districts, blah blah, & it's like... people really think that getting someone's pronouns right (or even trying to get someone's pronouns right) is like........ you have done it! u are not transphobic! u understand the nuances of everyone's gender if you use the right pronoun!

& like... i get paid a fair amount of money to lowkey sell out & explain what a pronoun is (lol) but at the same time it is the fucking bane of my existence. i personally hate pronouns. i think they are legitimately so stupid lol. like... to distill the vast nuanced experience of both having a gender identity AND being perceived at all times as a gendered being (which sometimes match & sometimes don't) into a PRONOUN is just baffling to me.

i think cis people (especially those who don't really want to do the work needed to understand what abolition means -- how queerness & especially gender expansive trans identities are a crucial part of the intersection of where that ethic is rooted) just see pronouns as a sort of easy way out. like you're cool with trans people if you can remember someone's they/them pronouns. it's so gross & so deeply tried up in representational politics (diverse oppressors are still oppressors, white supremacy can be present in ethic & politic even without a white person in the room, etc).

& of course like you said pronouns are definitely important to some people (it is always nice to feel seen & respected at the most basic level 🤪) & definitely not at all saying that anyone should like get people's pronouns wrong, obviously, but i just really hate the concept of how my entire experience as a dyke & a person in general has to be reflected to the world at all times in a silly word which is so vastly incomplete. & i genuinely (not anyone's fault!) hate how that can get tied up in my writing, especially my writing about queerness. when ppl rly care abt terms & IDs etc i can understand bc the common messaging is all rooted in neoliberalism & "representation" instead of anti-state resistance, etc, so it's like. okay lol. but i am intentional in the way i write queerness bc of my own ethic & politic, so you know

ANYWAY yes. queerness & transness is so deeply expansive, to make it only about (or mostly about) pronouns is, to me, ethically against what queerness & transness really is, especially if those pronouns are mostly talked about in the context of english. & i would be remiss in saying that using non-normative &/or neopronouns is a privilege rooted in safety. often i don't disclose they/them pronouns bc i just don't want to explain myself, & i deeply do not care, but i'm always protected in a lot of ways by my whiteness (& that i'm educated, able-bodied, cis-passing, employed, etc etc etc). for a lot of people, for a lot of reasons, pronouns aren't safe. being out as trans isn't safe. but that doesn't mean their gender identities are any different or less important or less vital.

I tend to be pretty unbothered by most things, I've been here too long however I'll never like the active policing of other people's blog content that seems to have intensified in the recent years with the 'puriteen' wave. I think people really forgot fandoms roots with the "Don't like, don't read. Dead Dove Do Not Eat." disclaimers and could use a lesson in it. The whole 'proshipper' discourse is just exhausting and I'm simply too old to be bothered, y'know. I don't mean to be like 'you shoulda seen what was going on back in my day *shakes cane*' bc some of it was skeezy for sure and we had our fair share of problems, but I felt like most people were at least staying in their own lane.

I also take issue with people who repeatedly, publicly complain about not having 'any' rp partners or not enough interactions while simultaneously making no effort to reach out to others and show interest in anything beyond their own self satisfaction. It shows that you don't appreciate the current rp partners you have or have had by stating that they're 'not enough' and that you're only looking to satisfy your own needs rather than acting as part of a community. It sucks to feel left out but at some point you've gotta start taking initiative. If we all sat around waiting for someone to come to us, no one would ever communicate.

★   PLOTS OR MEMES: I find that memes are good way to initiate a first interaction, it kinda gives me a sense of who you wanna write with, what kinda things you're interested in, and sets up the relationship nicely. But I do like plotting out threads, but only as an outline or a starter point. Sometimes, we end up plotting a little too specifically and it's like, what's the point of writing it if I already know what's gonna happen, y'know? Like, tell me where I'm going but don't tell me what I'm gonna see along the way. I like to have a solid starting point and then go with the flow from there with discussions being mainly about major plot points.

are you trans-detrans solidarity stances biased in one direction or another? I imagnie most anyone that brands themself as that title will understandably prioritize pro-transition stances. so I am skeptical someone would actually take on a neutral position that benefits any kind of detransitioner.

Hi, anon. Thank you for your concern. If this post doesn't engage with your question on the axes you were trying to ask about, please re-send a clearer question. I obviously can't tell if my stances are biased, so I'll summarize some of them here and give you some backstory.

I actually am kind of a detransitioner. I'm an AFAB/natal female who used to have a masculine nonbinary identity and stopped, and I still have some unwanted physical effects from having been on testosterone. I just also have a social circle full of trans people, really dislike cishumanism, and am perpetually frustrated with radfems, which is why I put stuff like "highly masculine right-brain systems thinker disconnected from Nature" in my tumblr bio.

(I never took exogenous testosterone, my body was like "hey, want to have a neckbeard and chest hair and horrible acne and a teenage-boy-tier sex drive and a face that people sometimes gender as male if paired with a t-shirt and short hair? no need to go to a doctor, I've got that covered". Now I take spironolactone, which I would recommend with caveats. I spent some time in detransition-oriented social groups, but got frustrated with them for what I saw as denying the realities of biomedical transition and having a cruel attitude towards some transgender women I was and am friends with. Discussing dysphoria with transgender women led me to start antiandrogens, which have done infinitely more for my mental health than any radfem has.)

Some policies I think benefit both groups include:

Not making a big deal about people having nonstandard presentations. If we want to avoid people feeling excess time pressure to transition, and be nice to people who temporarily took hormones they didn't want, we need to fuss less over lasting signs of nonstandard hormones, like breast development and hair pattern changes. Furthermore, if we want youth exploring their gender identities to not feel pressure to take hormones/bind/etc, we need to avoid making fun of youth who want to change their names and pronouns without significant physical changes.

Stop requiring people to give pronouns. Trans people mostly seem to not like it and detrans people seem to mostly not like it. It seems to be by and for DEI teams or something.

Doing more research into long-term health outcomes for people who take or have taken cross-sex hormones. Though this is still IIRC better studied than long-term puberty blocker usage! It is genuinely plausible to me that if a child or teenager wants medication for transition stuff, it's safer for them to be on cross-sex HRT than it is for them to be on puberty blockers.

Make checking sex hormone levels a standard diagnostic for miserable teenagers who hate their appearances. Sometimes these are screwy in ways which cause non-transgender dysphoria. At least in the case of AFABs, spending a month trying spiro probably won't set back their goals if they later turn out to benefit from exogenous androgens.

Policies which are less specific to the case of transgender people and detransitioners below the cut.

In general try to reduce child abuse, especially gendered child abuse, and try to avoid making kids do unpleasant unnecessary stuff, especially if it's gendered. Also, don't judge parents for having gender non-conforming kids.

Build more housing to lower housing costs so it's easier for adults to avoid living with their parents. Bad parents can be a huge stressor.

Full transhumanism now:

Look into synthesizing gametes from regular cells. Sometimes people care about being able to have biokids. If you've had your ovaries removed right now, that's a huge pain.

Solve artificial uteri. The root of sex-based oppression is, well, biological sex, which is rooted in disparate parental investment strategies. Artificial uteri are a step in making it more possible to equalize the costs child production puts on parents.

In general making it easy to change one's body reversibly. Right now that's a pain.

Blah blah full biological immortality and uploading and cognitive enhancements and stuff. Because those are nice things.

She sometimes has flashbacks of what happened to her parents (even though she was very young, she can faintly remember everything) - at times like these she activates her optical camo and just... ceases to exist for a while. Watching people go by, living their lives. The camo was something that saved her life back then and she cannot imagine not having it on her at all times.

♡If they could visit anywhere in the world, where would they go and why? She always wanted to see Fukuoka - where she was meant to live before her parents moved to NC.

most of these are based upon things we can sorta just infer about the series since hirano loooves to leave things open-ended, so some of these are moreof theories/explanations than anything if that's alright.

i put some big organized lists of hcs below the cut :)

to start i'll talk about some general fun stuff! (assuming that's what you're here for):

i always use they/them for pronouns for heinkel. mostly because there's a lot of alternation between he and she in different translations and that doesnt sound very cis to me honestly. but i rock with people who use any pronouns too.

i also see lots of ppl say theyre a lesbian and i feel like that miiight just be a byproduct of The Abridged Effect but i dont really have a label on them. they have their freak shit going on with makube so whatever that is

not a natural blonde and is very diligent about taking care of their hair. only lets their roots grow back in once they start getting older and stop giving af

gets a prosthetic arm and leg after the london attack. we know injuries inflicted before becoming a regenerator still stick around (because of anderson's scar) so walter inflicted permanent damage there.

didnt really listen to mainstream music until they started hearing it from other people like seras and makube. heard classic rock after twenty plus years of exclusively angelic choir music & opera and their brain almost exploded

their dynamics with other characters:

was raised with yumie/yumiko at the orphanage so they have a sibling bond, but they drifted a bit in their teen years/early 20s until enrico made them partners in section 13 again. it was awkward for both of them for a bit but they eventually came into their own as iscariot's dynamic duo of murderers. theyre generally pretty serious with each other but sometimes the cain instinct still kicks in

they view enrico as their boss but still fondly remembers their times together as a kid. mostly just thinks he's pathetic, but in a loving way.

anderson is a very clear father figure to them, and as iscariot's next regenerator after his death they feel like they have impossible shoes to fill; theyre very hard on themselves for that reason. the way he died definitely contributed to heinkel's self destructive habits

they had met integra through enrico before the events of hellsing and just... hated her to death. but in a funny almost homoerotic tension way. if seras was there she would have lost her mind over it and would have been overprotective to some degree

now here's some details on the time skip in general:

heinkel was rushed to the vatican (or maybe some other section 13 base) very soon after the battle of london, not a moment too late. if they were taken anywhere else they would have died of blood loss, but was given the choice to become a regenerator human like anderson for a chance to save their life. heinkel accepts because they believe walter is still out there and wants a chance at revenge. it worked and hence heinkel is now seemingly immortal/doesnt age.

side tangent is that i think becoming a Regenerator ends the aging process at whatever time you take it which explains why anderson's age is unknown and why heinkel looks the same in their supposed 40s/50s

after finding out walter had died and their battle was meaningless they were in a dark place for a long time. they were having trouble properly taking care of themselves after becoming a regenerator (i can imagine it's probably pretty weird!!). while still being a part of iscariot they were sorta benched by enrico's regent (before makube) from entering any of the organization's affairs for the next few decades. they were sort of left to rot in a way, which certainly didnt help with the grief. they considered reaching out to the hellsing organization but couldnt bring themselves to. they still somehow managed to become acquaintances with seras after the battle since they shared the same struggle and losses, but that's about it.

side tangent 2: i think seras and heinkel would genuinely become close after integra's death, but that's very far in the future

enter makube about 15-20 years into the timeskip. makube arrives in section 13 as a bishop and a new caretaker to heinkel, and is hellbent on helping them out, since theyre being "neglected" by the current archbishop, and makube regards heinkel as very important for being one of the few remaining veterans of the war in london. them forming a genuine bond would come afterwards, but that's how it started. overenthusiastic makube and tired heinkel shenanigans ensue and somehow they become tied at the hip. makube would become the archbishop quite a few years after this, and heinkel by extension sorta just becomes their de facto mission buddy.
