Me: I have heard from a number of celiacs that gluten-free bread is, frankly, not great. And I already like rice and potatoes. So I will just be eating more rice and potatoes to replace the bread I no longer am eating.
Mom, a week later: I bought you gluten-free bread!
Me: ... *tries bread* *it is terrible* *does not eat any more bread and continues to eat rice and potatoes*
Mom: Why aren't you eating the gluten-free bread I bought you? :(
Me: I do not like how it tastes. Which I expected given what I've been told. So, as I said before, I am not worrying about an exact bread replacement and am instead eating more rice and potatoes for my carbs.
Mom: Okay. :(
Mom, two weeks later: I bought you a different brand of gluten-free bread!
Me: ... *tries bread* *it is terrible* *does not eat any more bread and continues to eat rice and potatoes*
