#Annie babbles about RWBY #He did a cameo where someone asked if he had any behind the scenes stuff to share about the Bees #And he talked about how Blake and Sun was always meant to be a teenage crush #And the Bees were a slowburn about two friends realizing they had feelings for each other #So it's all very validating #He also said if they did it again he didn't know if they'd go as hard with the Sun stuff because it just made people so mad lmao #I still don't think the Sun stuff was the worst decision ever in a vacuum but the bar is too low for m/f ships and too high for f/f ships #And some people are just incapable of admitting they're wrong so yeah that probably would have been for the best #He also mentioned everyone being in love with Blake was a deliberate choice and that's always so funny to me

Well, on the upside, Veilguard’s absolutely horrid writing and utter lack of meaningful roleplay mechanics made me appreciate Inquisition’s already watered-down writing and roleplay mechanics.

#Emmrich’s pretty much the only decent companion but my god.#This game feels like a daycare simulator.#No option but to be nice to and validate everyone even when they’re being objectively awful themselves (looking at Taash in particular)#The stakes should feel high but instead I just feel like I’m babysitting toddlers #And normally I’m a completionist who loves doing all the quests but the game actively forces you into it #You HAVE to recruit all the companions; you HAVE to baby and validate them all; you HAVE to complete all their quests #No option to even mention the supposed Dire Stakes of the universe.#The game treats you like you’re seven and over-explains everything to you. The maps are terrible even if they look good.#The voice acting for a few companions is… questionable.#For a game we waited ten years for it feels like someone’s rough/unfinished first draft.#And again no truly meaningful roleplay choices or actions.#The game just forces you to be nice to everyone. Rook feels like an inveterate spectator and an invertebrate to boot. Utterly spineless.#Every time we see a returning companion I feel like Hadvar: ‘Who… are you?’#Because they act nothing like their previously established personalities & it’s like Veilguard goes out of its way to ignore previous games #The head writer’s self-insert is painfully obvious and atrociously-written in particular #You can only be a Good Nice Guy #Maybe sometimes a Stern Nice Guy and very occasionally a Nice Guy Who Thinks He’s Funny But Isn’t #Just! I always feel bad for being even a little dissatisfied with my circumstances and then I remember that most of the people around me (both irl and online) would probably go absolutely bonkers in my circumstances

#like. i literally have no money. i dont buy things. i dont ask for things #it has always been like this #its not that i dont *want* money- its just that i dont have a choice being disabled and all #and i have all my necessities provided (well most of them) so like. i would feel ungrateful for wanting anything more #and like i dont think i deserve anything 'extra'. anything beyond the necessities because i cant earn it #i cant pay for it myself. so i just dont really think about the things that i want but dont need that much #another thing that would probably drive a lot of people insane is that i dont have any irl friends and dont really leave my house #except for shopping. which is anywhere between once a week and once a month #i have no job- that alone is distressing for a lot of people. unemployment can be very hard on people's mental health #and i mean evidently it is hard on mine as well. but i dont know any alternatives #people like to feel needed. they like to feel like they have a purpose #people going through unemployment often find that they have all this time suddenly but they dont know how to fill it up #all the things they had fantasized about doing are suddenly not that fun because they are the only option #anyways. rant over idk where i was going with this #i think im in desperate need of validation perhaps and im trying my best not to make this about pain olympics #or some weird type of bragging. thats not my intention

im not actually very good at using them myself irl, but i get my hackles up so fast when a fandom deliberately ignores a character's canonical it/its pronouns. calling someone "they" when you know it wants to be called "it" is still misgendering. stop it. I may not understand it myself, but i don't actually have to. i just need to respect what someone wants to be called.

I am watching a new-to-me production of JCS on youtube, and I don't love their Judas so far, but I am loving the open animosity between Judas and Mary Magdalene, especially when Jesus isn't on stage with them. Very, 'What the *fuck* does my boyfriend see in you??' vibes from both of them.

It's a modern staging, very sparse in its sets, and never have I watched a JCS with such incredibly strong 'highest stakes drama in the queer anarchist polycule' vibes. I am... undecided if I like it or not.

#Thoughts from the fire escape #Phenomenal jesus actor though #And MM is also very good #Judas has so far been almost a non-presence #Always in the background when he's not singing if he's on stage at all #Like he's haunting the group rather than part of it #Not my favorite direction for his character but definitely a valid choice
