It's honestly frustrating that I've seen non-Russian queer people almost bragging about how they would be illegal in Russia, labeled an extremist or terrorist. Russian queers are in danger, their government has made it clear where it stands, and it's made this effort for the better part of a decade (even longer, perhaps). This will kill people, don't mistake this for a quirky little proclamation from a government, akin to somebody saying the sky is pink. Russian queer people were already expressing their fear, and the least we can do now is express our love for them, and advocate with them.

saw this on twitter and it may be deleted now but it really is exactly what annoys me about online/fandom spaces these days especially tiktok. there's a huge lack of sincerity, respect and understanding + it must be so so exhausting for artists to put out art and it just be always met with irony and insensitive jokes. like especially with ethel cain, not to be like i knew her before everyone but i have been loving her music since 2021 and so seeing her 'blowing up' on tiktok and people behave so weirdly has been so strange

repulsed isn't the right word but he has a habit of writing unnecessary amounts of violence into romantic plays.

in kamikou festival, his adaption of R&J involves a bunch of romeos engaging in a violent battle over juliet, and generally puts much more of a focus on the violence and action than the romance. he does it again in Emu's wedding card story where he suggests killing every character that gets in the way of the wedding in Emu's play.

also in kaito's mermaid card story he writes out the romance part of little mermaid, however the reason given for this change in the main Mesmerised by Mermaids story is that wxs' version of The Little Mermaid is simply a homage due to the original tale being too tragic for their audience of young children (also there's a certain out-of-universe reason why wxs never does romance plays).

at the risk of stating the obvious, i want everybody in this fandom to know that your partner hitting you once is abuse. since i've seen people around here claiming that it's the "frequency" that counts, implying that Caitlyn hitting Vi one time is not a big deal, since she never does it again (which is not even true btw).

this is such a disgusting and naive and untrue idea, and i very much hope these people don't believe in what they're saying and just want to defend their favorite character. hear me out, your partner hits you once and that's the moment you run. chances are it wil happen again. and even if it doesn't, you deserve way better than to be with someone like that.
