For context in the AU, Kokushibo left because he felt Muzan made a poor deal. He had to spend so much time tending to him that he didn't have time to further develop his skills like he wanted. He would rather leave and risk death by slayers to have time to himself, so he did. He said he saw Yoriichi in town, and just left the day after.

Ofc he was proper and helpful to Muzan, since he considered it no different from working with other superiors in the past. The information and advice given to Muzan were professional obligations more than acts done out of genuine respect and devotion. In Muzan's eyes however, his skills and information were greater than any employee he'd previously had, so he assumed he was completely loyal based on how he was with him.

Also! Koku is not seeing a ghost, rather he has ideas of what Yoriichi thinks and acts like, which serve as a second opinion. He's mostly just visualizing what he imagines Yoriichi would do or tell him to do. Part of why he hunts down Yoriichi after running away is because he believes, even in some small insignificant way, that he will understand. If not, folly on his part, he will simply pass with the regrets when Yoriichi cuts him down. Luckily he does get to stay with him again, and the rest is history.

The demons I didn’t use would be younger or lower ranking slayers. Hantengu was previously the Rumble Hashira but is retired and has severe PTSD and anxiety, Urogi is working on developing Sound Breathing along with Nakime, and Zohakuten has only just passed Final Selection with his Serpent Breathing. They’re all brothers except for Hantengu who is their grandfather. Daki is Water Breathing I think but overall she’s a weak-ass slayer. Rui is Gyutaro’s tsuguko and Enmu is a Kakushi and he’s like totally delusional.

Instead of the Butterfly Mansion being the hospital, it’s Akaza’s Cloud Estate.

Genya is still a slayer and he’s sworn that he will kill Sanemi as both revenge for their family, whom Sanemi killed, as well as to just put Sanemi out of his misery. He also helps out at the Cloud Estate a lot, since Akaza doesn’t like getting help from people and takes on way too much at once.

Nezuko is a slayer and carries around a lil tiny demon Zenitsu on her back. Her brother, Tanjiro, was turned into a demon and he is very rapidly rising through the ranks of Moons. Nezuko is desperate to find a way to turn Tanjiro back and is helped by her friends Aoi and Murata.

Inosuke is a demon too, but he’s super isolated and very protective of his mountain territory.

Also Kyojuro was once a slayer himself but ended up becoming a demon. Not sure how yet. But there aren’t any flame breathers bc he became a demon before he could pass it on and he killed his brother and father as well.

I wanna keep going but now I’m sooooo eepy. I’ll write more tomorrow

[ Demon Slayer × Trollhunters idea ] (3)

Angor Rot can't help the scoff that breathes out of him in reply to the boy's response. Tanjirou remains unwavering, his eyes never leave the assassin troll.

Well, the former assassin troll now. The ring containing his soul glistens on his finger.

" That is your answer? " Angor presses on with a hiss. " You managed to persuade the Trollhunter to return the ring because you only want to help? Do you expect me to bow in gratitude, whelp? "

" I didn't persuade Jim, I merely told him my piece. " Tanjirou hums, his dark red hair swaying in the movement of the windy night. " I told him that it was always yours. Nobody has the right to control others through such means. "

This boy holds the same caution in his stance that Angor had seen with the Trollhunter's, but his eyes have no fear nor hesitation in them. He feels unsettled, not knowing what to make of the way this boy looks at him.

Fear keeps you alive and aware. If this boy is afraid of him, he does a flawless job in disguising it in sight and scent. Angor takes a step forward, foot barely grazing the grass of the boy's home property.

Tanjirou remains indifferent. His gaze stays the same and Angor snarls at how it reminds of the untouchable, warmth of the sunlight --

" Did you not think I might have attacked your friend when I got back my soul? "

" I did. Jim thought the same too. But I told him to be prepared for that scenario. You didn't attack Jim, so that's good. "

Angor narrows his eyes. " Such naivety. " Yet his words carry nothing, he's aware, because if anything, this boy doesn't seem idiotic.

" You're here just to ask me questions. Although it would have been nice if you didn't sneak around in the first place. " A displeased tone in his voice as he puffs. " I almost thought you were a robber if not for your scent. "

Scent. This boy has an enhanced scent of smell. Angor's eyes dart to the small axe in the boy's hand, taken when he had emerged out of his house to confront him with the thought that he was an intruder.

" I could've been coming here to attack you. Perhaps as a bit of warning for the Trollhunter, maybe? " The troll mimics a motion of unsheathing his blade.

" Will that be your choice? "

Angor Rot goes still.

" Will you continue to pursue the Trollhunter? " Tanjirou continues, his eyebrows slightly furrowed. " Despite being free from being controlled again? Do you intend to continue your reputation as the Trollhunter's assassin? You can choose what you want now, walk on the path you prefer. It doesn't have to be in a violent one. "

There's a faint sound of inhaling, and Angor notes the way the boy's chest expands and the twitch in his muscles.

For the first time since their talk tonight, he goes into a stance, bringing his arms up and resting his hands in a crossing pose over his shoulders, the axe being tightly gripped in his hold.

" If that is your choice, " Tanjirou says, " then, right here, right now, I will take your life. "

(In the distance later on, where Angor Rot has corrected the boy's assumption and walks away to find another path for his future, he sometimes wonders what would have happened if he had taken another step forward. The boy's eyes glared on his neck back then, but his axe was small, and a troll's skin is thick and hard to cut.

And then Angor remembers the boy's gaze, of how it resembled the gentle warmth of the sun and at the same time, the prickling heat that burns through his skin if made contact. His senses had screamed danger despite not picking up any hostile intention.

Somewhere in the future, Angor finds himself protecting the Trollhunter Jim from Gunmar and aiding him in the battle, and his golden eyes find Tanjirou swinging his blade through the Gumm Gumm soldiers without breaking a sweat.

When the boy notices him and beams, his past words echoing, Angor Rot finds it reasonable to have a sense of wariness and fear for the boy because he resembles the sun; bright, warm and deadly.)

feelin' some sort of way about how renkaza writers sometimes have akaza refer to kyojuro with his first name even more than kyojuro refers to himself that way. like, akaza will always call him "kyojuro" in his narrative, but when it flips over to kyojuro's pov, he uses "rengoku" to refer to himself. i kind of love it.

kyojuro will always think of himself as a representative of his family and, as a further extension of that, a representive of the demon slayer corps, before he thinks of himself as an individual. akaza will only ever see kyojuro as an individual with admirable strength, to be lauded and complimented, observed and respected as who he is, rather than the group(s) he represents.

and then as they come together and begin to understand each other, they also challenge each other to concede the merits of how the other thinks of them: that kyojuro should have his own identity and allow himself to be selfish; that there is value in akaza caring for a group, pride in representing a community and respect in wanting to protect them even if he thinks them weak. this ship!!!

I’m so sorry beloveds, I haven’t drawn much lately. I’ve been working on a renkaza fic though! It’s about Akaza adapting to being human, if anyone’s interested !

Anyways, all I have to offer you are these quick sketches and doodles !

I saw some very fun poses on Pinterest and had to draw Akaza as them! Please ignore how sketchy they are, I haven’t cleaned them up too much ! The first doodle is very important to me, I know Akaza loves yapping and it gets on kyo’s nerves before they get close and are no longer enemies. In that doodle I imagine Akaza had been trailing after (stalking and annoying) kyo for quite awhile now, and kyo has grown used to him. Less enemies but kyojuro wouldn’t call them friends ! (They are friends ) also the little Akaza head doodle is so precious to me he’s so cute, I love how he turned out there !

I’m currently working on the Hashira x pregnant reader ask I received since it was the one that won the poll and I don’t think I’ll manage to post it today. I’ll try my best to post it tomorrow, but I won’t post anything tonight as I’ll be focusing on this ask! I already spend some time and only managed to finish Sanemi’s part, so forgive me! Hope you all have a nice evening/day regardless.

Is there any scenario you guys wish to see specifically? Right now I included food cravings, mood swings, sickness and the birth. I’m thinking about adding the first few days with the newborn(s), but I’m not sue yet.

The urge to write unrequited renkaza. Renkaza where Akaza is desperately and deeply in love with Kyojuro but Kyojuro will Not and will never give him the time of day. Renkaza where Akaza will sacrifice everything for Kyojuro and switch sides and take his chances with the Corps just for the tiniest hope of being allowed to stay by Kyojuro’s side… and Kyojuro still sees him as nothing but a deplorable demon. Akaza can be useful to the Corps, he’s allowed to live, and Kyojuro is basically nothing but his “handler” because Akaza is obsessed with him and will listen to his every whim…. But to Kyojuro he’s nothing more than a tool he has the displeasure of wielding. And still, Akaza does nothing but trail after him and worship the ground he walks on because even if it’s not like he wanted he’ll take what time and attention he can get from Kyojuro. Do you understand. Do you get it. Because I am gnawing on bones
