I’m so sorry beloveds, I haven’t drawn much lately. I’ve been working on a renkaza fic though! It’s about Akaza adapting to being human, if anyone’s interested !
Anyways, all I have to offer you are these quick sketches and doodles !
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I saw some very fun poses on Pinterest and had to draw Akaza as them! Please ignore how sketchy they are, I haven’t cleaned them up too much ! The first doodle is very important to me, I know Akaza loves yapping and it gets on kyo’s nerves before they get close and are no longer enemies. In that doodle I imagine Akaza had been trailing after (stalking and annoying) kyo for quite awhile now, and kyo has grown used to him. Less enemies but kyojuro wouldn’t call them friends ! (They are friends ) also the little Akaza head doodle is so precious to me he’s so cute, I love how he turned out there !

#VillainousKnyAu
Villainous × Demon slayer . Characters of the animated series "Villainous" in the form of characters from the "Demon slayer " anime
Roles:
Shinobu - Flug (Hashira poison. He is physically weak and he has the same sword as Shinobu, he also filled himself with poison and created a more dangerous poison)
Daki - Miss Heed. lowermoon 1 /Uppermoon 6,but rather she is between lowermoon 1 and Uppermoon 6. But she barely reaches the Uppermoon 6 level. She can hypnotize, she has not received the demon art, so the gipzon is not forever. Just like in the original Heed she uses her powers so that others would love her. She became a demon at the age of 17. She does not crave attention from her idol, unlike the original.
Rengoku/Mitsuri - Dementia (Hashira Lizard)
Tamayo - Penumbra, also G-lo is a good demon like her. She became demons at the age of 17.
#SwapVillianousKnyAu
Roles:
Flug-Kokushibo (1uppermoon)
Dementia - akaza/douma (2nd uppermoon)
Mitsuri-Heed(Hashira of love and she has the same dream as Mitsuri)
In this AU, I made her a softer and really good character. She does not have mental health problems, unlike the original. She does not expect attention from her idol, unlike the original.
Fighting styles:
Flug's style is oriented towards piercing attacks. He is physically weak. But he is agile and fast. He also ranks 1st in intelligence among other Harishas.
On the contrary, Dementia’s style is focused on physical readiness. And Hid’s style is focused on agility and flexibility. But her Demon version often simply hypnotizes people and forces them to fight for her, but she 50/50 knows how to fight on her own.
1 Uppermoon Flug is physically stronger than his demon hunter version and he has also improved his instant poison technique. Also ranks 1st in intelligence among all demons (He is 100+ years old or more)
And I wanted to make the 2nd Uppermoon Dementia a brittle spindle (a lizard that looks like a snake)
But I didn't think she was dangerous enough for a 2 uppermoon rank so she's a half-snake with snake hair.
Hashira vs his alternative versions (1vs1):
Demon Heed < Hashira Heed (Basically a demon Heed with the same characteristic as the original but Hashira Heed is an improved version of the original and her demon version and has better mental health)
Demon Flug ?=?Hashira Flug (Hashira has chance if he makes a poison that can immediately kill a demon of such a high rank without the help of other hunters, or because of the plot Hashira Flug would win thanks to the plot power if he is main hero or if he alternative version surrendered (Reference to the battle with Kokushiba)
Dementia Demon? =? Hashira dementia.Hashira has a chance against Uppermoon
I am not a professional in drawing. Flug has a black face because it would not be logical to draw him in a paper bag, because this is the Taise era. (From July 30, 1912 - December 25, 1926) Although it is very debatable about his paper bag, because the first paper bags appeared in the USA in 1852, but we are now talking about Japan... Well, in general, the camera will always be from an angle where his face is not visible, so to speak, a mysterious faceless character.
I don't know what to do with 5.0.5, Sunblast, and Blackhat, and other characters.I'll draw all of them later. My deep apologies if I made mistakes in my post.English is not my native language.

You and Characters of KNY When They're Sick (GN!Reader)
Characters: Akaza, Inosuke Hashibira, Kanao Tsuyuri, Kyojuro Rengoku, Tengen Uzui.
Akaza
Imagine him fighting a demon slayer and suddenly he has a sneezing fit. The battle stops as the slayer is unsure of what he sees right now. After Akaza returns to the infinity castle, Douma definetely teases him and won't let him live it down in the next few days. Ofc Douma gets a punch in the face from Akaza for this teasing while Kokushibo doesn't see it.
I can see him curling in a fetal position on his bed when he coughs too hard.
When it comes to you, you literally have to drag Akaza to the bed (and it's hard since he's physically stronger than you if you're not a demon). And after that you should always keep an eye on him. He doesn't like laying in bed doing nothing, so at some moment you get so tired of him wanting to leave the bed that you start considering the thought of tying him up to the bed, though you know it wouldn't help, he's too strong to hold him back with something like this.
When he has a fever and starts calling Koyuki's name in his sleep, you hold his hand, feeling your heart break with sadness from how much he's suffering, even if he doesn't remember it when he wakes up. But you remember this moment. He lays, his head is shuffling aroung the pillow, brows are furrowed and his forehead is sweaty, his hair slightly clings to his forehead because of it as he repeats Koyuki's name over and over again in a whining and weak voice, almost begging.
When Akaza wakes up, feeling better, he sees you sleeping next to him in the sitting position with your hand still holding his. He wonders when did you even fell asleep, but the fact that you stayed with him all the time and held his hand made him feel things definetely.
As you'll wake up, the first thing you do is smile, relieved to see Akaza in a better condition now, and ask how does he feel now. The first thing he said though was telling you that you shouldn't have sit there with him all night and that he would be fine on his own. He said it nonchalantly as if it was nothing and he didn't actually care, yet he does.
Even if Akaza doesn't show it much, he appreciates your care for him when he's sick. It makes him feel... good, knowing there's still someone out there who's willing to take care of him and help him get better in the end.
Inosuke Hashibira
It's hard to get sick for Inosuke, yet if he is, he probably loses his voice because he was yelling with a sore throat. Probably it's for the best since he'll complain a lot during the healing process, so now at least he won't be too loud about his complaints.
He also won't accept any medicines (not that it would help much), turning his head away or even putting his mask on so you wouldn't be able to easily force him to take his pills or other medicine.
I know he's very flexible, but I can't take this situation out of my head. Imagine Inosuke standing in a bridge pose to show you that he's perfectly fine and not even slightly sick. And then he bursts out coughing, and that makes his spine click, making him stuck in this position. So you have to help him lay down with help of Aoi, Tanjiro and Zenitsu. Zenitsu probably makes fun of Inosuke for it, making Inosuke yell at him (and most probably lose his voice due to a sore throat as I said earlier). Tanjiro reassures Inosuke that it's okay and he'll be fine, while you and Aoi are trying to calm Inosuke down.
Inosuke most likely will escape the bed and room in a mere seconds, so you'll have to chase him down and bring him back over and over again (with help of Zenitsu and Tanjiro ofc because he's too energetic to bear him alone). He says that he runs away because he's perfectly fine and just simple illness wouldn't be able to take down as great and strong man as himself. And then he starts coughing violently in the middle of his sentence.
He's such a pain in the ass while he's sick, though he at least tries to be a little less annoying for you, even if it's not that noticeable, you still can see it in the way he thinks for a moment when you offer him a medicine. He can't say no to your care and attempts to heal him when you look at him so worried, especially if he has a high temperature or starts coughing loudly.
That still doesn't mean he'll stop complaining. He will let you take care of him, but he will complain about how useless those medicaments are for him. When he sees that you're very worried, he tries to reassure him in his own way, saying something like "This medicine is nothing useful compared to my own body! I can take anything, this weak illness is nothing to someone strong like me, so stop giving me this, it tastes like shit!"
He's a pain in the ass, but it's your favorite pain in the ass.
Kanao Tsuyuri
She's not denying your help since she knows that it's important to get healthy before the illness will get worse. But she tries to be as less hard to take care of as possible. She doesn't even realize that she's doing something wrong until you have to drag her to the bed because she got up to take her medicine while suffering from a high temperature.
She won't ever tell anyone she's sick since she's not talkative. She's also good at hiding it, so it will take some time to notice it. No one will suspect a thing until she literally collapses from how bad she feels rn. But when she'll see how worried you and others are, she will immediately lay down on the bed, taking every medicine you give her without questions.
She'll probably be a little more clingy when she's sick, especially if she has a fever. It won't be something big, like whining or hugging you tightly since she knows better than give you troubles or make you get sick as well. It'll be something more subtle, like slightly grabbing the sleeve of your clothes in a subtle hint that she doesn't want you to leave or trying to hold your hand. She won't force you to give her attention though, she won't even probably say that she needs attention because she feels lonely, so her touches will be almost unnoticable, light as feather. Though when you return her gesture and take her hand, slightly rubbing your thumb on the back of her hand with a soft smile, she melts with a light blush on her cheeks and shy smile. That little gesture is something that's enough to make her more happy during the healing process.
Kyojuro Rengoku
He's the one trying to reassure that he's alright with a smile on his face and then sneezing in the middle of the sentence, making you take his hand and drag him to the bed.
He doesn't complain much, he likes seeing you worry and care for him. Since the moment his mother passed away, there was no one from his family who would take care of him, his father is drowning his problems in alcohol and Senjuro needs care himself, so his heart swells and flutters every time you cook soup for him and remind him to take his medicine.
Kyojuro likes to talk loudly, but when he's laying on the bed with a sore throat, watching you make medicine by receipt that Kocho gave you with such concentrated expression, he can't help but smile warmly, not saying much and just enjoying that feeling of being pampered.
He drinks every medicine you give him, even if it tastes awful, he knows better than to lay on the bed sick with his important job, and he knows better than make his little flame and his little brother worried.
Senjuro comes to his brother often since he doesn't see him as much as he would want to due to Kyojuro's dangerous job. He talks to him, listening to the stories from his missions and Kyojuro is only happy to spend more time with you and Senjuro, even if it's in this kind of circumstances.
Senjuro also loves helping you take care of Kyojuro. He helps you cook for him, or brings Kyojuro medicine. He's almost beaming with happiness because he loves his brother so much. Kyojuro always took care of him and little boy wants to repay him, take care of him as well and make his life a little easier. (He's such a sweet child, I swear, we need to protwct Senjuro, he's too cute.)
With your and Senjuro's help and care Kyojuro gets better pretty fast. And don't think he will take your care as granted, he'll make sure to make a big dinner for you and Senjuro with all your favorite food next time he's home from mission. He loves both of you with all his heart and he'll always make sure you know how much he cares and cherishes you and Senjuro.
Tengen Uzui
He would be such a drama queen. Dramatically says that he feels oh so awful, I might die, probably making Suma cry because he makes her too worried at this point. As the result, it pisses off Makio and she hits Suma, yelling at her to calm down. The only people who can calmly take care of him while he's sick is you and Hina. Mostly you because Hina is busy calming both Suma and Makio down, because Suma's loud cries and Makio's even louder yells make Tengen's head hurt much more than it should.
He definetely teases you, especially if you look worried. He doesn't see his illness as something important, if anything it just gives him an excuse to make you take care of him and pamper him which he loves.
He won't lift a finger to do anything for himself, just to tease you and make you feed him or watch your attempts to lift him up so he'd sit up and drink the medicine, grunting because he's too heavy and big to lift him up. You probably would end up falling on top of him, making him laugh loudly. He'd tease you about it with something like "I knew you fell for me, but I didn't know that you'd fall for me like that. Well, it just means that I'm as flashy as ever!" making you hit him on the chest in frustration and roll your eyes.
Yet, even if he's teasing the hell out of you and fools around about this situation, he appreciates your care and care of his wives. You all put effort in making him get better as soon as possible, spending time with him. He really feels happy when he realizes just how much you all love and care adout him and that he loves you all as well.
Definetely Suma will cling to Tengen, crying in his shoulder because she hates seeing Uzui sick and weaker than usual. As you three try to drag her from him because he's still sick and can get Suma sick as well, Uzui probably will just pat her back, reassuring her that he'll be fine. In the end you all get in a big group hug and fall asleep in this cuddly and warm pile of bodies and limbs all over the bed.

AHH, You write Kyo so perfectly, you're amazing! 😩👌
If you are still open to the idea of requests, could write a lil' bit of Kyojuro x hashira reader taking care of each other's injuries and such after a hard-fought battle?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I'd Follow You Into Fire."
Tumblr media
Pairing(s): kyojuro rengoku x reader
Genre: fluff
Synopsis: after a grueling battle with akaza, you don't walk away unscathed. you and kyojuro take care of each other's injuries
Warning(s): kyojuro being mad at you for a second; arguments between you two
Kao's Note(s): THANK YOU!!! Hope it came together okay! Spoiler!warning for people who haven't seen the demon slayer movie. cookie for anyone who can spot the frozen 2 reference.
Tumblr media
both of you were in terrible condition to be honest
you'd take care of each other, of course, but if kyojuro found the reason for your injuries to be reckless he'd be sure to tell you
and kyojuro would be, uncharacteristically, pissed
he's extremely protective over you. well, he protects everyone, of course, but you are the love of his life. and seeing you in harms way scares him more than anything
since you are one of his fellow hashira, so he doesn't doubt your strength, not in the slightest. he knows you're strong, you've beaten him many times before in training, and your prowess is something to be revered
but strong doesn't mean unbeatable
you were both reaching your limit with this one, and the mission just became that much harder
you had defended three cars on the mugen train, and you lover, another three. tanjiro and inosuke had ran ahead to deal with the demon at the front of the train while zenitsu and nezuko protected another part of the train
you held your own exceptionally well, only acquiring a stab wound from one of the sleep demon, enmu's, victims. a girl painfully screamed at you, cursing you for ruining her chances of receiving any happy dreams
frowning, the feeling of guilt stirred within you at her accusations. your guard had lowered in the moment, and someone drove their small knife deep into your side, which pulled you out of your guilty state, and your guard rose again
you didn't kill her, but she had been knocked unconscious once you managed to throw her against the wall of the train in an attempt to get her off of you
later, something began happening to the train, wrapping the inside in flesh, and the presence of the demon only grew stronger. your flexibility, both mentally and physically, made it rather simple to defend the sleeping passengers
you assumed the demon was at the locomotive, mainly based on the general knowledge of trains, but also because of the presence growing stronger the closer you went towards the front
kyojuro left you with a swift kiss to your lips, giving you a firm nod and mumbling a small, "be careful," before running to defend his own closer of train cars
you were quick to reciprocate it, sending a quick smile his way before drawing your sword, "i will. promise."
defending the passengers themselves was the complicated part, the moving flesh in the train not proving to be much of a hassle for you.
if you bought enough time, you didn't doubt that tanjiro and inosuke would defeat the demon. they're extremely capable demon slayers, and you're sure they can figure something out
and they did
uncovering the engine of the train, tanjiro and inosuke concluded that the demon would be defeated, which proved to be the case once the train crashed.
you withstood a lot of damage from the crash. blood poured from your hairline from the fall, and the stab wound on your side made grew larger and deeper
a large, wooden peice from one of the trains seats was dug deep into your side, as you protected many of the passengers' heads from any collision
zenitsu woke up, panicking once he noticed the thick piece of wood protruding from your side. "AHHHHHH!! d-do i pull it out?!"
even in your injured state, you managed to smile before shaking your head, "n-no, zeni...my blood will pour out quicker that way," you went to sit an injured passenger down. "i'll have to leave it, for now. help me with everyone who's injured."
while you, zenitsu, and nezuko were in the process of aiding the bystanders, you nearly froze once you felt an even stronger presence of another demon
you assumed kyojuro, and maybe even tanjiro and inosuke, had gone into combat with the stronger demon
more than anything, you wanted to aid them in the battle, but innocent people needed you at the moment. they were your top priority at the moment
as soon as you were finished, you ran–more like quickly limped–to kyojuro and the others, but once you got there,
the world around you seemed to go in slowly motion
kyojuro's blood seeped through his demon slayer corp uniform, staining it in a deep crimson. his eye was clenched shut, you assumed it was from an injury, and blood trickled from his hairline
akaza's hand was mere inches away from kyojuro's chest, just above the space his heart is located, ready to pierce through it
your legs moved before you could even register what happened, but much to your advantage and remarkable skill, akaza didn't sense you coming
sword drawn in front of you, normally you'd instinctively aim for the neck, but you knew your blade wouldn't reach that in time
the surprise on akaza's face was prominent when he witnessed his hand fall to the ground
you'd nearly sliced his head clean off his shoulders due to his shocked state, but was quick to jump out of the way. despite your injuries, your swings were persistent, able to switch breathing forms at lightning speed
akaza marveled at your strength, remaining on the defensive as he's never faught a woman
your swings would've hit their target, but no matter how much you wished to kill this demon for harming your kyojuro, blood loss was starting to catch up with you
soon, the sun started to rise, and the demon fled
seeing little point of chasing after him, you dropped your sword before rushing to kyojuro's side, cupping his bloodied cheek with your hand, "k-kyo, are you–"
kyojuro's pointed look shut your mouth real quick, "what were you thinking?"
Tumblr media
was...was he angry with you?
a deep frown tugged at your lips, "what was i think–i don't want to watch my husband die, that's what i was thinking!"
as demon slayers, you both know death is inevitable. anyone knows that, of course, although you look death in face everyday, often times it being the outcome.
but if there's a chance–even if it's merely a 0.001% chance–of preventing death, why would you pass it up?
kyojuro's eyebrows furrowed, "what you did was reckless," his knees finally buckled in his weakened state, hitting the dirt below him. he looked up at you, eyes stricken with fear-filled rage, "y/n, you can't just follow me into fire!"
"then don't run into fire!"
kyojuro's lost people before. his mother, close friends in the demon slayer corps, even the kind-hearted person his father used to be. despite his lively, fiery nature, kyojuro is still human and each loss hurt him deeply.
and now, he's nearly lost you. all for the sake of him.
he knew your heart was in the right place, and you did save him, but what if something went wrong? if the demon sensed you? if he drove his fist into your chest?
he couldn't help but feel angry.
"y/n," red painted his teeth as kyojuro bared his teeth in agitation. "as a husband, it is my job to protect you. if anything happend to you, what was i to do?! what–" you couldn't stop yourself from interrupting him.
"as a wife, it's my job to take care of you," the blood from your wounds continued to poor out, your legs growing weak as you hit the ground in front of kyojuro. "and as your comrade, it's my job to make sure you stay alive!" angry tears began to cascade down your bloodied cheek. "tell me, what part of my jobs didn't i do?! and what was i supposed to do if I watched you die?!"
frustration. pain. worry. joy.
tanjiro felt it all. but all he could do was watch as you and kyojuro argued. he was about to step in, try to get you both to calm down, but both of you grew quiet.
then, your visions faded to black.
both your crows were quick to report back to headquarters, and a plethora of medics were sent out to the derailed train. you and kyojuro were swiftly carried away by two of shinobu's helpers.
many of them stayed behind to tend to the injured passengers, assuring they received the proper medical care. meanwhile, you, kyojuro, tanjiro, zenitsu, and inosuke were transported back to the butterfly estate.
both you and kyojuro had been out for a few days. the rest of your fellow hashira were worried when the crows came back reporting that you two were gravelly injured, but were grateful to hear you'd made it out alive.
shinobu was definitely a blessing in the demon slayer world.
kyojuro's injuries were worse than yours. his left eye sustained an immense amount of damage. shinobu tended to it the best she could, kyojuro's left eye in much better shape than it was. although, she wasn't sure if it would be the same again. his torso was wrapped in bandages, left eye packed with gauze, and they each had to be changed periodically.
while you didn't sustain as many injuries as kyojuro, yours could've been fatal as well. the thick, wooden piece from the train's seat had lodged itself deep within your side from the crash. shinobu informed you that it was two inches away from puncturing your lung. but it was a hassle removing the loose rib fragments. your stab wound and the gash on your forehead required stitches, but other than that, you'd be fine.
you were awake long before kyojuro.
tanjiro took the liberty of filling shinobu in on the argument you had before you lost consciousness, so she decided to keep you in separate rooms for the time being.
but kyojuro was the only thing on your mind.
shinobu told you of his injuries, you were thankful that he would survive, but you worried for him nonetheless. completely disregarding your own well-being.
"you can't get better if you don't take care of yourself, you know," shinobu reminded you for the umpteenth time.
you'd been making such a fuss over kyojuro, no one had been able to get you away from him to change your bandages. the were dyed with deep red whenever your wounds would reopen.
you waved her off, "i'll be just fine." it was useless to fight with you, so she let you be for the time being.
how long would it take for him to wake up?
cleaning his wounds, changing his bandages and gauze, making sure his eye wasn't infected, even going as far to re-do his stritches if needed; you did it all for him. even if he wasn't conscious.
of course, you knew shinobu and the others were trying to help, but you had bigger things to worry about. their words of reassurance was appreciated, but you wouldn't feel better until your kyo woke up.
re-wrapping the bandages around his torso, you came to an abrupt stop when your felt something–rather someone–caress your head.
you quickly pulled back, "kyoju–mmph!"
he was quick to cup your cheek, pulling you in to a deep kiss, eager to have you in his arms. his own injuries were the least of his concern at the moment, as he pulled you up to straddle his waist.
you were careful not to put any weight onto his wounds, but you kissed him back with the same amount of eagerness as him. pulling away, you wrapped cupped his cheeks, briskly rubbing your thumb beneath his patched up eye.
"are you in any pain," you looked to him with worry, but his own eyes trailed to your bloodied bandages.
"why are your bandages not clean," he promptly, but carefully, hoists you off of him and set you down in his place on the bed. "that won't do at all!"
"kyojuro," you scolded from the bed. "you can't just get up like that! what if your wound re-open! don't be so careless," you pouted, as your warnings went through one ear and out the other.
"that's quite amusing," he chastised while coming back to you with his arms full of bandages, setting them down. "coming from the very person who's wounds have yet to be cleaned! you are the careless one here, my love!"
you were about to retaliate, but decided to cross your arms in a stubborn manner, letting him do as he pleased. truth be told, your torso was incredibly uncomfortable from the blood-soaked bandages.
kyojuro carefully peeled the bandages from your body, frowning at the re-opened wound on your stomach and the dried blood on your stomach.
he dipped a cloth into a basin of warm water, wringing it out before gingerly dragging it across your stomach.
"you really must take care of yourself more," kyojuro's voice grew soft as he rinsed the bloodied cloth in the water before bringing it to your stomach again. "while i will forever thank you for saving my life, my love, i still stand by my statement: you can't just follow me into fire."
thankfully, you two weren't arguing this time around. kyojuro just wanted you safe, as safe as you can be as a hashira, at least.
"i'll take care of myself when i'm positive you're alright," as he went on to wrap up your torso, you carefully removed the gauze from his left eye. it looked to be healing well, and you applied the prescribed ointment shinobu provided.
"oh good," shinobu's sudden appearance caught you both off guard, "you're both awake! and you've dressed each other's wounds, certainly made my job easier."
you got an earful of the insect hashira, and definitely aoi, as you put your own well-being on the back burner for the sake of kyojuro. it was heartwarming, yes, but at least let them dress your wounds before you delve wholeheartedly into kyojuro's recovery.
but, after they talked to you both, shinobu and aoi left kyojuro and yourself to your own devices, only coming to deliver the disgusting medicine first thing in the morning. they trusted that you two will take care of each other, and they were right.
"come now, my love," kyojuro enthusiastically urged the cup towards your lips. "you must drink this if you wish to make a speedy recovery!"
it's been a few weeks since you've been out if commission, and you're still not used to the awful medicine. it was your least favorite part of the day.
"but it's disgusting," you turned your face away, nose scrunched up in disdain. he merely smiled as you kept swatting his hand away.
"well, you know what they say," kyojuro finally managed to intertwine your fingers, pinning your hand to the bed and connected the cup to your lips. "the medicines that taste the worst, always work the best!" he casually tilted the cup, leaving you no choice but to drink it.
"blagh!" your face twisted in disgust, despising the way the medicine's flavor lingered in your mouth. but, your expression melted into a smile at the sudden feeling of kyojuro pressing a kiss to your cheek.
"see! now that wasn't so bad," he gave a hardy laugh, as you rolled your eyes.
"it gets worse everyday," you grumbled quietly. turning to cup his left cheek, your thumb gingerly traced beneath kyojuro's eye. "how does your eye feel, kyo?"
"much better," kyojuro placed his hand on top of yours, pressing a kiss to your palm. "i have to say, you've quite a gift for treating me." you smiled.
"of course," you pressed your forehead against his. "i take pride in caring for your, just as you do for me." kyojuro closed tha gap between you, resulting in a soft kiss.
you were so grateful to have kyojuro here withi you.
had you gotten there a second later, he wouldn't be here. he wouldn't be here to care for your wounds. he wouldn't be here to ensure that you've taken your medicine. he wouldn't be here to scold you for your carelessness.
but, even with your bed ridden state. for the sake of your kyojuro...
"kyo," you pulled away slightly, looking into his eyes with a gentle smile. "i know you told me not too, but i'd follow you into fire. time and time again."
...you'd do it all over again.

So how does Giyuu’s eleventh form work exactly?
That's what Rui would like to know, for sure. This is just my guess, but at its most basic, I think it's a matter of him waiting for an opponent to come within range. But let's get on our scuba gear and briefly dive in anyway.
The distance between you and your opponent is something stressed constantly in Japanese swordsmanship/martial arts, the "ma'ai" (間合い). Rather than being defined strictly as a physical space, it's more often explained in terms of timing, and putting yourself in a position to respond to an opponent. Depending on what weapon you're using or stance you're in, this ma'ai will be closer or further to maximize the amount of responses you could have to any given situation, especially when it's a matter of split-second responses.
While I'm not at all an expert, in my personal experience, I've usually heard this phrase more in close-encounter situations, blade-against-blade engagement, as opposed to, say, a situation where Rengoku is many steps away from Akaza as he takes a stance that so impressed the demon; that stance was like being ready for many possible chess moves instead of ready for the very next move. I've also seen the ma'ai phrase repurposed by business communication gurus, for that instantaneously back-and-forth response, like when Rengoku and Akaza are in close range and Rengoku is answering each punch with a block.
Giyuu, a master of a Breath that focuses on flexibility in responsiveness, has mastered how to respond to anything in his ma'ai.
As for the speed at which it works, let's recall that all the Breaths stem from the original Breath, Sun Breathing. Tanjiro's understanding of how the Breaths broke off into so many other forms is that each person took which parts suited their own physicality and honed them to their utmost. However, they still stem from the same ideas of how to power the human body up to the full extent of its innate capability. That's part of why I think Tanjiro was so easily able to understand and use the essence of Thunder Breath in a pinch; he already had an intuition for how to power himself that way. I also suspect that the way he viewed his rooftop battle against Daki, when suddenly all her movements looked slow and dull to him (and meanwhile his eyes started bleeding), he was doing essentially the same thing as Kanao using the Final Form of Flower Breathing, even if not to the same highly developed extent that Flower Breathing uses it. While it may be easier for Tanjiro to dip into some of the specialties of other Breaths due to his ability to perform the Breath from which they all stem, we see examples in Flame Breathing and Insect Breathing that moving super-duper-freaky-fast is not limited to Thunder Breath. Thunder Breath has taken the basic idea and pushed it and honed it, but the basic ideas behind it are something accessible to anyone. I suspect that Giyuu powers his speed in ways similar to how Zenitsu does.
To conclude, Giyuu is purely focused on being reactive/flexible, but only to what's in his ma'ai instead of putting any focus on attacking anything outside of it. With that limited range of focus, it allows him to put extra blinding speed into each of his reactions. Only my guess, though. If you asked Giyuu about he'd probably either go really deep into the theory and technique and or he'd say "I wait for an opponent to come into my range" and then he'd just leave.

Head Canons: Business trip
You would love to go on business trips, since you adored traveling and getting to know new places.
Although you would prefer to have your husbands tag along, they were busy with their own jobs not adjusting to the trip schedule.
More often Akaza would travel with you, since he entirely works from home and being a freelancer gave him a lot of flexibility on his working hours.
Your husbands did not fancy the idea of you being away from them even for just the weekend, but they were understanding and proud that the company considered you a very skillful and valuable asset.
As soon as they found out, Akaza would start complaining about how much he was going to miss you, so much that he might probably die.
He will be bear hugging you every opportunity he had, especially from behind, almost lifting you from the floor.
-”Why does it have to be you? Can’t they send Kyojuro?” He will complain with a grin, since you and Kyo worked together.
-”No, because he works in a different area and this is directly related to my position” You would say while grabbing his chin to kiss him, making his complains stop.
-”Aghhh, that is not fair game. That only makes me miss you more”.
-”Darling, it's only for 3 days. I’ll be back before you notice it. I promise”. You will conclude by tenderly booping his nose making him shower your face with kisses.
Giyuu will help you get your bags ready, wanting to plan ahead for every possible climate change.
-”Love, I think you are traveling really light this time. Wouldn’t you be cold? or What about rain? Here, you should take this.” He will offer you a really cute coat that he gifted you on Valentine’s day.
-”Uh… Yes, you are probably right, baby. Let me pack it up as well” You actually did not think that you were going to need it, but how could you say no to your handsome blue eyed husband?
When your bags were done, he would then grab your hand for you to sit beside him and will cup your cheeks with his hands to kiss you deeply in the lips.
-”I am really going to miss you.” He will confess while gently stroking your cheek with his thumb. You will automatically hug him, since you found him so irresistibly adorable.
-”I won’t be away for that long and I need you to help me keep Akaza and Kyojuro at peace”.
-”I will keep an eye on them. Y/N… Could you, brush my hair?” Giyuu will say with a visible blush in his face, even after being married he kept being really shy about asking for affection.
He will then sit at the edge of the bed, eyes closed, loving how your hands caressed his hair and enjoying every single moment the two of you were alone.
Kyojuro will prepare your favorite food for dinner as a goodbye present, he will be more cheerful than the other 2 husbands but only because he did not wanted you to feel bad for your business trip.
You will help him in the kitchen, joking around, preparing food for all, while stealthily stealing kisses from him; standing on your tiptoes.
Kyojuro will then trap you against one of the kitchen counters and will softly whisper to your ear:
-”How is it possible that you are not gone yet, but I already miss you this much?” He will say with a smile as he brushes your hair back.
-”I’ll be back really soon, sweetheart. Please take care of Giyuu and don’t let Akaza get the worst out of you, please”. You will ask with a grin while you eskimo kiss him.
-”I will, love, rest assured.” He will kiss your hand and tenderly embrace you.
The next day, the 3 of them will drop you at the airport and each will say goodbye with a kiss.
They will text you in your group chat as soon as you boarded your plane and will ask you to let them know as soon as you landed.
You will send them selfies of you while eating and pictures of your hotel room to let them know what it looked liked. Each answering back with selfies of their current activities.
Akaza will send you private messages of how much he is missing you, trying to blackmail you with the saddest expressions he managed to send selfies of.
Giyuu and Kyojuro will send you messages in the group to let you know that everything at home is just fine. They all played a couple of UNO and Exploding Kittens matches.
You will complete your assignments and go back home safe and sound to find your 3 husbands waiting for you at the arrival gate.
After picking you up, you will all go to have dinner at Kyo’s fave restaurant since last time you went to Giyuu’s favorite place.
You will then tell them how pretty the city was, how good your coworkers treated you while being there and how much you have missed them all.
You will then go back home to take a warm bath, joined by Kyojuro and then prepare to sleep with Akaza since that night was his to have you.

What do you think is the focal point of each breath? Like how thunder breathing seems to focus on speed, what are the focuses of the other known breaths? Love breathing seems to rely on the user's flexibility and insect breathing seems to rely on agility.
Oooohhhh the Breathing Techniques. I'm a sucker for sword stuff, and one of my favorite details in any story that makes prominent use of swords is the various forms of swordplay that exist in said world. So, of course the Breathing techniques in KNY were one of my favorite elements. So, we're gonna talk about them all.
Sun Breathing:
Sun Breathing, as the original form of the breathing techniques seemed a very logical place to start in our analysis of the focus points of each technique. Honestly though, Sun Breathing might be the easiest to identify. All other forms of breathing were derived from Sun Breathing, and as each of them focuses on more singular attributes, it would make sense that Sun Breathing is in general, a more holistic approach to swordplay. It relies on Yoriichi's Zen like state to function at its best, and is shown to feature a variety of techniques within its wheelhouse. It is the whole body, mind, and spirit, perfectly aligning into the sword strikes of someone in a Zen state.
Moon Breathing:
Moon Breathing is the only one of the original derivatives of Sun Breathing to not pass down into the repertoire of the Demon Slayer Corps in the form that we see it in, as it was only practiced by Michikatsu, who defected to the other side, becoming the demon Kokushibou. This one is a tricky one to pinpoint what's going on, as in the only form we see it in, the form has been tampered with so much by Kokushibou's Blood Demon Art so greatly, it shows very little resemblance to its former self. So, instead of analyzing the direct techniques to determine a focus, we'll instead take the thematic approach. Michikatsu was one of the first Demon Slayers to begin using Total Concentration Breathing after Yoriichi introduced it to them, and given the name of the style referencing the moon, which more dimly reflects the light of the sun, we can perhaps infer something along these lines: Moon Breathing requires much of the precise swordplay that Sun Breathing does, yet is lacking in the Zen that a true wielder of Sun Breathing must possess. It is a dimmer reflection of Sun Breathing's capabilities. In fact, given that there was some decay of the true forms of Sun Breathing as it was learned by the Kamado family, I would say that Michikatsu's original Moon Breathing might resemble the Hinokami Kagura.
Water Breathing:
Water Breathing seems to focus on the basics of swordplay, with a distinct emphasis on curved strikes and slashes. We know that Water Breathing is one of the more widely practiced styles in the Demon Slayer Corps as of the main story, with many different cultivators, as it is noted to be easy to learn. However, despite the relative ease of learning this style, I believe it is likely one of the more difficult styles to master, and I believe that the only true masters of the style that we observe in the story are Urokodaki and Tomioka, though I believe both Sabito and Makomo could have mastered the style had they lived.
Thunder Breathing:
Thunder Breathing emphasizes finishing off your opponent with a single strike, and because of this, places a heavy focus on both the art of drawing the sword, (Iaijutsu) and placing a lot of focus on the legs. (not me just barely realizing that Jigoro lost his leg, and therefore could no longer practice the forms effectively, hence his retirement). There is a lot of layering to the techniques of Thunder Breathing, as we know that mastery of the first form is key to mastery of all further forms. We also can see through Zenitsu that the first form is easily modifiable, accounting for both the sixfold, eightfold, and Godspeed variations, which I believe he developed himself, before using that base ground to develop the seventh form.
Stone Breathing:
Stone Breathing seems tailor made for intense physical strength and unconventional weapon choices. None of the five known forms of Stone Breathing seem like they would work at all for a traditional swordsman, and unlike many of the other forms, seem like they would require the user to be pretty physically powerful to pull off. So the focus here seems to be on pure physical power, alongside unique weapons.
Wind Breathing:
Wind Breathing is incredibly reminiscent of a real life sword style, namely Jigen Ryu. This style holds a high focus on high stances, as well as delivering an intense first strike, with teachings of the practice dictating that a second strike is not even to be considered. As far as things specific to Wind Breathing, the intensity and frequency of attacks should be noted. There seems to be a certain rough aggression to the style, and while that may merely be Sanemi's own personal take on the style, given we have no other sources, I would say that rough aggression is one of the focuses of the style, alongside its common ground with Jigen Ryu.
Flame Breathing:
Flame Breathing seems to focus on the energetic, passionate motion of a flame. However, that energy is channeled in a very precise manner, almost akin to the singular flicker of a candle's flame. Kyojuro's movements are energetic, but also incredibly precise. The movements are tight and controlled, but also have that passion and momentum of a fire burning. We see that the style must be incredibly precise by the way Kyojuro is able to use his sword just perfectly to deflect some of Akaza's punches, without damaging the blade at all. Flame breathing also features incredible variety in the types of strikes it employs, from the more straightforward slash of Unknowing Fire, to the almost defensive circular movement employed in Blooming Flame Undulation. Just like how a fire can be completely unpredictable, Flame Breathing seems to have a technique for every combat situation, rendering the user unpredictable in their own right.
Now we move on to the breathing styles that aren't directly derived from Sun Breathing.
Flower Breathing:
Flower Breathing was derived from Water Breathing at some point in the past long enough ago that a Sakura tree planted by the first wielder of the style is quite large in the main story. Flower Breathing places a heavy emphasis on observational skills, knowing your opponent, obvserving them and their environment to maximize chances of defeating them. Because of this focus on the gathering of information, Flower Breathing's techniques seem to be dual-purpose, serving as both methods of attack, and of evasion. The eyes are an important body focus for users of this style, as masters of the style tend to have very naturally good eyesight, as well as the final form, Equinoctial Vermillion Eye, raising the user's vision to such a high level that the world around them seems to move in slow motion.
Insect Breathing:
Insect Breathing is directly derived from Flower Breathing, and was the personal creation of Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira. This style is quite unique among the Breathing Forms, as it is the only 3rd tier derivation from Sun Breathing that we know of, as well as focusing on an entirely different style of fighting than any other style. Given Shinobu's inability to cut off a demon's head, she has a uniquely designed sword, tailor made for piercing movements, rather than the traditional slashing movements. Speed is huge here, as well as taking the evasion elements of Flower Breathing and cranking it up to 11. After all, Shinobu's unique sword likely deals with additional fragility concerns, given it's function is essentially as a giant sword-shaped syringe. So, if Shinobu can inject her foe as quickly as possible, without risking a prolonged fight risking her sword's durability, that would be an ideal focus point for her unique fighting style.
Serpent Breathing:
Yet another derivative of Water Breathing, this style also seems to be the personal creation of one of the Hashira, namely Iguro Obanai. Serpent Breathing takes the 'flow' elements of Water Breathing and makes them the emphasis of the style. Obanai's sword is unique in that it's unique, but even Gotouge (who loves telling us the reasons why trivial details are the way they are) hasn't given us a reason why Obanai wields this unique blade. The blade is most similar in structure to an Indonesian Kris Blade, although with a much larger size. While there is no confirmed correlation, it seems to me that this style of sword would be at the very least, the optimal blade for Serpent Breathing. Serpent Breathing also likely incorporates Kaburamaru's role as a seeing-eye snake, likely avoiding making strikes too close to the body so as to avoid any accidental beheadings, as well as forms with very instinctual cues. In fact, of the derivatives, Serpent Breathing seems to be the closest related to its inspiration, likely only optimizing Water Breathing's styles to work best for Obanai.
Sound Breathing:
Somehow, this style is related to Thunder Breathing, although the styles seem completely different. This style makes heavy use of Uzui's njinja background, taking elements of that fighting style, and integrating them with the more conventional needs of the Corps' general fighting style. Mimicking the disorienting nature of sound and noise, Uzui makes use of small grenades, as well as his unique nunchuck swords, which notably have much larger blades than most standard Nichirin swords. This style is explosive and bombastic, and relies heavily on Tengen's unique ability to read the flow of a battle like a sheet of music. This style is pure chaos incarnate, and focuses on bringing the best out of Tengen's ninja training, as well as explosions.
Beast Breathing:
A personal style invented by Inosuke Hashibira, Beast Breathing is a distant relative of Wind Breathing. Making use of Inosuke's two jagged katana, excellent flexibility, and animal instinct, this breathing style is all rough edges and agression just barely channeled. Inosuke's excellent, animal-like sense of environmental awareness allows him to go full ham on aggression without needing to put much thought into an ambush, while also rendering him able to directly pinpoint a target in a large, chaotic crowd. None of these forms seem possible with only one sword, so it is necessary for any pupil of Inosuke-sama's to become a dual wielder like himself.
Mist Breathing:
Mist Breathing is a derivative of Wind Breathing, but seems more polished, making use of well refined swordplay, and streamlining the rough edges so key to Wind Breathing's identity. This is all for a good reason of course, for like the mist it evokes, this style is all about obscuring your movements and intent with your blade. In order to pull off feints, and other deceptive ploys with a blade, intense skill must be required to shift into the intended form with giving very few cues. Mist Breathing appears to be quite difficult to master, as the only known user of the style, Muichiro Tokito, is a literal genius with the sword. Mastery of Deceptive techniques as well as a refined grasp of swordplay is the focus of this style.
Love Breathing:
The personal creation of Mitsuri Kanroji, Love Breathing is derived from Flame Breathing, which she learned during her study with Kyojuro Rengoku. This style is incredibly personal, and it would take a miracle for someone to recreate it, given the perfect storm of Mitsuri's skillset. It takes the basics of energetic momentum focused on in Flame Breathing and multiplies it with Mitsuri's own flexibility, strength, and unique sword. It can be inferred through the flexibility of her sword that energetic momentum combined with intense flexibility is the key to this style.
And that about wraps up the breathing forms. Much like many real life fighting styles, these forms are very complex, and difficult to pin down to a single focus element. By giving a more holistic analysis of each style, I hope I was able to give you a sense of the essences of these fighting styles.

👀 + interaction ideas (tosses u my whole muse list, go wild)
going wild with @resolutepath for this meme ( still accepting! )
YOUR MUSE LIST FOR KNY:
all of your roster for kny because i’m happy to literally interact with any of them, so here are the characters i see capable of interacting them in some sort of way and then i’ll toss some more specific plots but just know there are always more lbr - also all of the characters im listing since i only have 1 kny canon have kny friendly verses so that’s where im thinking tbh but there are modern ... and reincarnation / ancestor / academy things so i might throw some of those in tbh also most of these have verse info in their docs : ))
sabito, yagami, akira + his cast (nana, kaito, yogi), zuko / the blue spirit, beyond birthday, matt (verse tba), togami (i need to make his verse but he is rich and a prodigy or something idk what his style is yet help me decide),
i believe we’ve started to establish some threads with yagami and tanjiro, sabito and sanemi, as well as some light interaction between makomo and sabito, zuko and tanjiro ... id like to keep those up, they’re all very different and i love that for them -- let’s keep that up for sure, there is something natural building or meant to be built between them so for the ones i have not interacted with
sabito can go with any of the others easily, even akaza :’)) in his main verse he is a pillar so he can for sure have tengen interactions easily such as missions, downtime at the mansion, meeting in the city (cities), crossing paths on separate missions, etc. there is a lot of potential. i love the clash of energy, yet i think they would be a solid, formidable team tbh!!!
i would love to see tamayo help sabito heal some intense prejudice against demons. he needs that. he would be a kind, gentle older brother to aoi.
akira is such an apathetic, lazy boy ... he is rather easy to get along with, he isn’t very high maintenance so he while tengen would be like an energy vampire to akira, he could handle it bc of his cast such as kaito who is always actually screaming rip ... he would admire tanjiro’s strength, especially for being so young. perhaps a familiar approach?? akira is mourning his cat in his kny verse so :’((
NAOMI MISORA
obviously light, i have never gotten to got flex some plots with naomi ....... and beyond, naturally :’)) aside from dn canon, there is a lot of flexibility and timeline gaps and just deadtime. id love to also extend their stories individually, maybe even combine them since they are fanonically / canonically accepted in the same timeline....and somehow light kills b?? but that makes no sense so we can def work around it, all my cast is like intertwined so!! we can also keep it separate i dont mind
wow this got long rip :’)) tldr; give me the cast
I FORGOT KAIBA but he is my fav ygo character, let him interact with light or togami PLEASE also all the kny

Note
out of all the yanderes you write for, do you put any of them in the same "box"?
ummm yes bc I write so many, but ig I could explain the ones I find most similar to one another.
Below, I made 10 groups:
WARNING(S): Obsessive behavior, unhealthy relationships, abusive themes, mentions of kidnapping and other sensitive topics
Bakugou Katsuki, Akaza, Hinatsuru:
katsuki, akaza and Hina are all overly protective obsessives who prefer not to inflict any type of physical harm onto their darling. they are all very weary of what their darling does and place heavy restrictions on what they're allowed to do. the least extreme would be akaza, who has to be away often, thus forcing him to let you do your own thing sometimes. they're all the kidnapping/isolating types who want their feelings to be reciprocated.
Daki, Shigaraki Tomura, Tatsumaki:
all very bratty, selfish, and clingy lovers who have unrealistic expectations of their darling. they feel that their desires are obvious, even when they're the opposite. not necessarily sadistic, they're still open to punishments, most of which occur when they're in a bad mood. they tend to be very jealous and needy, wanting all their darling's attention to themselves. They want love and praise from their darling more than anything else.
Death the Kid, Muichiro Tokito
they're both obsessive, possessive, clingy, and unintentionally selfish. they believe their darling to be perfect and have high expectations of them that can't be brought down. both are open to mostly minor punishments for the sake of training rather than their own pleasure. neither of them believe what they're doing is wrong and their jealousy is a major drive for them. they differ only in personalities.
Bokuto Koutarou, Inasa Yaorashi
both are clingy, loud, and obsessive individuals. they're both very social, driven, and easy to like, making them great manipulators. because of their clinginess, they prefer to stay a normal couple rather than anything leadng into kidnapping. despite coming off as dumb or emotional, they're quite smart. they both can become delusional if rejected and have mood swings that make them particularly overbearing at times.
Dabi, Shidou Ryusei, Hisoka Morow, Miya Atsumu
despite their differing personalities and general drives, they're all possessive and have the tendency to get quite aggressive. they each enjoy teasing and intimidating their darling, having a lot of dependency on the reactions they receive. they crave physical touch, especially those of a sexual nature and like 'marking' their darling as theirs. after stockholm syndrome sets in, that's when they become much softer and clingier.
Nejire Hado, Kanroji Mitsuri, Kirishima Eijiro
compared to most, they are very soft, protective, and 'innocent' lovers, desiring true love and romance. they're very sweet to their darling and prefer slow isolating over direct kidnapping. they can be quite jealous and clingy, which increases over time until they may eventually force you into a relationship. they also get overly excited about any affection you give them, and gift you with cute items in return.
Kunigami Rensuke, Momo Yaoyorozu, Genos
unknowingly selfish, they kidnap their darling and claim they do it for their sake although that's not necessarily true. not very jealous, but still protective, they like spending time with and spoiling them with anything they want except escape. they aren't heavily reliant on their darling's attention, however they do appreciate it, they really just want them to understand their efforts. they're extremely good at keeping calm, even when exposed to bratty and reckless behavior. they dislike the idea of punishments and aim to provide the best life they can give.
Levi Ackerman, Tsukishima Kei
rather than craving affection and love from their darling, what they really want is control. they dislike the feelings they have for their darling and how it makes them feel powerless, so they end up being quite mean or harsh. they resort to degradation in order to feel like they're in charge again. despite seeming like they hate you, they are very jealous and want you to love them. after realising they can't regain control, they'll kidnap their darling and become a little nicer over time.
Tendou Satori, Metal Bat, Yumeko Jabami
they're the most chaotic and flexible type of obsessive. they only really know they want you and that's all they need to know. every reaction and thought they have all depends on you. they could easily go from sweet to sadistic if treated badly or getting harshly rejected. they give back what they're given. if you're loving, then they're loving. they prefer to have a normal, if not clingy, relationship, but kidnapping isn't off limits. stalking is also likely, but it's just so they can get closer to you.
Mello, Kenma, Tamaki
very different personalities, but they're all really insecure when it comes to their feelings. they have a strong sense of lucidity that they use to ground themselves, but over a long period of time, they can't help but kidnap their darling. for awhile they're just satisfied with watching them from afar, but that only lasts so long. they regret kidnapping them immediately, some showing it more than others, but they obviously can't just return a person. they really just want their love to be mutual, and to be appreciated and praised, but they're so embarrassed about they're feelings that they just come off as strange.

Pillars and upper moons swap roles au?? I wonder what will they be like >:D
Pillar / Upper Moon Roleswap AU??? I GOTCHU DUDE
I only have a 5 character limit though so I picked out 2 Pillars and 2 Upper Moons! ENJOY THE FEAST
Yeet im dumb i forgot to put down uh possible spoilers aye
-
The Pillars
Tumblr media
Shinobu Kocho - Upper Moon 4
Known as the Lady Butterfly, mistress of poison, she who had slaughtered Slayer after Slayer in single strokes. Some say the last thing you hear is a woman’s soft laugh and the flutter of butterfly wings.
Possesses a body that looks like an amalgamation of a human and a variety of deadly insects, particularly butterflies.
Her skin is deathly pale, transparent to the point where you could see her organs. Her limbs and back billow with purple monarch wings, though the rest of her is scattered with toxic spines. And hen she opens her mouth centipede’s mandibles scuttle from it, and her eyes are the compound eyes of a butterfly, bright violet and all-seeing with the number 4 carved into every facet. When she speaks, there is a chorus of wasps in every breath.
Instead of poison, the demon Shinobu being organically an insect as well now uses natural venoms.
Her Blood Demon Art is based on Shinobu manipulating her blood and turning it into various types of venom, each mix deadlier than the last. Unlike her Pillar self, who was limited to whatever poison she had in her sword sheath, her demonic self has virtually no limit on what she can create.
Her most powerful blood technique is known as the Hundred-Thousand Sting; she deploys her worst venoms with her own unaltered blood in the form of an extremely corrosive mist that once you breathe in, you’re a goner. If it touches you, it will seep in, and you’re a goner. If you’re so much in the range of the fog, you’re still a goner.
While outstripped in strength by Gyomei, Sanemi, and Muichiro– Shinobu still proves herself an exceedingly deadly opponent through speed and intellect.
Her personality as a demon is a mangled representation of her traits as a human; while seemingly calm and sweet, Shinobu holds the exact same demeanor while brutally killing others. But she is also notoriously quick to anger, sending her into furious fits as she attempts to reign it in. Make no mistake though, she is still wickedly clever.
As a human, she’d been cared for by her demonic older sister Kanae after their parents were killed and her sister forcefully transformed into a demon by Upper Moon 1 Gyomei Himejima.
Kanae had managed to resist the hunger for human flesh to be able to care for her sister– mercifully spared by Gyomei as she reminded him of a child from his human past.
Shinobu had desperately wanted to become a demon just like Kanae so that they could truly live together, though Kanae always rebuffed her– until the arrival of the Pillar.
The Snow Pillar, Doma. He had battled Kanae under the accusation that she had killed their family and paid no heed as he beheaded her in front of her terrified human sister. Maddened with grief, Shinobu drank her sister’s blood, vowing vengeance on the Snow Pillar.
It was Upper Moon 1 who found her, having been originally sent to recruit Kanae into the Moons. Seeing that Shinobu was far more bloodthirsty and willing to kill, he took her in instead.
Up until now, Shinobu hunts for Doma, and takes special care to kill any Slayer with ice or snow-related techniques slowly. A refinement of her most agonizing of venoms just for him.
Tumblr media
Mitsuri Kanroji - Upper Moon 6
This one is insane.
She is Love, she is made of Love, and she will Love and Love and Love and she will take their Love as well until there is nothing left to Love.
It is said that Mitsuri is the kindest Demon Moon, taking her prey with the greatest expressions of Love that they could ever receive. But do they, really? When Mitsuri loves them with everything she has– from her horrific strength to her blood to her insatiable appetite?
Mitsuri is fond of shapeshifting, though her true form is… that of a normal human girl, albeit with pink skin, white eyes and a fanged mouth. She even keeps the unusual hair she had detested her whole human life. Did you think this embodiment of unquenchable desire would be a little racier?
When Mitsuri kills and devours, she does so in every way of loving that she can. She will embrace you until your spine gives way, she will kiss you until your lungs collapse and your lips are torn to shreds, she will lie with you until all is spent and blood seeps from every part of you.
It upsets Mitsuri so that her Love isn’t returned adequately. But she is a forgiving demon– so she will continue to express this devotion to every being until it is returned in full. Not even other demons are exempt.
The number 6 is written in careful script over the pale surface of her eyes. It is watermelon green and pretty and the last thing most of her prey see.
Her Pillar self believes in love, sweet and gentle and ultimately ephemeral. Demonic Mitsuri believes in giving and taking until there is desire to love anymore.
It was what was promised to her, when Muzan fed her his blood from the palm of his hand. She had been rejected for her hair, her strength, her need to love and be loved.
He had found her, cast out and alone, just one cruel husband after another. Muzan promised her that demonhood would let her love for all eternity, that in his world she would never be rejected. Mitsuri agreed. Can you blame her?
As an Upper Moon, her already prodigious strength has made her nigh on par with Sanemi and even Gyomei. Her flexible body surpasses superhuman limitations and weapons simply sink harmlessly as she softens her body to the blows.
Her Blood Demon Art, however, is not focused on her physical ability. If it were, she would have been placed lower on the rungs of the 9 Upper Moons. No; her blood is one that makes the mind bend and dance to her will. Love and aphrodisiacs. One whiff, one taste, and it’s all over. There is only love.
The pinnacle of this technique is her Eternal Ecstasy, where wounding her is suicide in itself if she does not cut her own flesh open first. Her blood becomes incredibly potent and drives men and women alike to madness in their desire to be loved by her– they will kill each other and let themselves be killed by Mitsuri if the initial violence doesn’t get rid of them initially. Her blood is the Marechi equivalent for humanity but is surprisingly more dulled towards other demons.
Await her battle with Hantengu. He thinks himself incapable of love, his Pillar’s skill and impeccable focus. He believes nothing will sway him, not even the rumored supernatural charm of Upper Moon 6. He secretly prays that it is enough when he draws his blade against her in the Swordsmiths’ Village.

The Upper Moons

Akaza (Hakuji) - The Destruction Pillar
For a Pillar, Akaza– Hakuji is a name he leaves at home for his wife– is unusual even for them.
While the Pillars carry weapons made of nichirin, ranging from blades to blunt force to guns, Akaza fights with his bare fists. It is the only sort of fighting that Akaza has known his whole life and he won’t stop now– not even as his fellow Pillars look to him in concern.
It doesn’t matter. Akaza’s happiest when he’s beheading demons with his own hands. He has gloves especially made for this, made from flexible nichirin, knuckles topped with the sun steel. Even his knees are capped in nichirin.
His breathing style? Some call Akaza a genius, some call him crazy. Either way, he had merged his adoptive father’s Soryu Style martial arts with breathing, creating the Destructive Kill Style. Before he had begun training in breathing, he had depended solely on his own natural strength, and this discovery of the Slayers’ method of combating the demons had raised Akaza’s power to almost how he had been as his demon self.
Hence, he is called the Destruction Pillar. It is an ominous title that, coupled with his roughened features and muscled frame, has even hardened Slayers steering clear of his path. His wife Koyuki knows better though, knowing him as grumpy Hakuji who had a soft heart under all the grit.
In the heat of battle Akaza is an unforgiving beast, relentless in his pursuit and merciless in his killing. At home, he is Hakuji; gruff and quiet but gentle in his selflessness, especially towards his dear Koyuki. Often you can find the Destruction Pillar walking beside his wife in the gardens, feeding ducks and sitting amongst the flowers.
While not tattooed with the criminals’ marks, shortly after becoming a Slayer Akaza had himself inked with a single bar for every ten demons slain. So far he has almost reached the amount of tattoos he has on his demon self.
His story remains nearly the same– but when Keizo told him that he was to inherit the dojo and marry Koyuki, it was not poison that came for them. When Akaza ran to his father’s grave, the two assassins by the well were beset upon by another; a particularly strong demon, a real one, killing then devouring the two before setting its sights on the father and daughter inside.
Keizo could fight, and he fought better than Akaza did when he first met him. He held off the demon just long enough for Akaza to rush to their rescue– only for fate to recall that Keizo had grown old, and he was never as blessed with endurance and strength as Akaza had been. The demon dealt a fatal injury, and Keizo fell.
In another world, Akaza’s hands were bloody with the scum of humanity. In this one, enraged he lunged at the demon and shoved both his hands into its chest. He obliterated its organs and yet… it was Akaza’s first demon, and this demon merely regenerated and laughed into Akaza’s face. In another world the blood had come from sixty-seven men. This time it was blood from the demon that he had killed sixty-seven times through the night. A demon could only be killed through nichirin or the sun itself; when Akaza tore its head off at his final attempt, the demon’s body simply gave.
Akaza collapsed out of exhaustion, and slept for three days. With Keizo dead and her fiance unconscious, Koyuki was in shock and was immediately wracked by a fit of weakness. It was only through the sudden intervention of the Moon Pillar that the couple were tended to; it had originally been Kokushibo who was supposed to slay the demon in their town and upon hearing that Akaza was fighting some unkillable enemy, sought a meeting with him.
It was Kokushibo and a worried Koyuki Akaza awakened to. After confirming that Koyuki was unharmed, Kokushibo then expressed admiration for Akaza’s fighting skill and offered him membership into the Demon Slaying Corps. Initially both Akaza and Koyuki refused. Why would they endanger themselves further with this talk of demon-slaying? But as Akaza thought of Keizo, who had died protecting Koyuki and with faith that his adoptive son would save her, he eventually agreed.
When Akaza rejected having a blade or weapon of any kind forged, Slayers shook their heads and muttered that Akaza would die. There was no Slayer in existence who had gone against Muzan’s spawn with their bare hands. But as they witnessed Akaza wrench off the head of a Lower Moon demon without the use of any weapon aside from his gloved hands, the whispers ceased altogether.
This time it is Akaza who is assigned to investigate the Infinity Train. Before every mission, he prays at the graves of Keizo and his father, kisses his wife goodbye. For some reason he prays a little harder, holds Koyuki a little longer– lately his dreams have been plagued with fire…

Doma - The Snow Pillar
This’ll be one of the only times I’ll not clown on Doma. Treasure it lmao.
Emotionless, capricious, and a known glutton for pretty women, Doma is an excellent Pillar and is frighteningly effective at killing demons. His being a moral citizen though is… highly contested.
As a Pillar, Doma lacks the cult he had as an Upper Moon, but he does have a loyal following of admirers from his pre-Slayer who believe him a sort of demigod for his pale hair and lovely rainbow-hued eyes. His charming personality and pretty face only serve to buoy his reputation amongst the populace as well– much to the chagrin of some of his Pillar colleagues.
Instead of a sword, Doma makes use of his fans; both are made of nichirin steel and hued gold in Doma’s hands. Despite their ornamented surface, they are razor sharp and can function just as well as twin short swords.
His is a pretty, almost gentle breath style; Breath of Snow is more a delicate dance in appearance than something meant for combat. And much like Doma, it is a death sentence to mistake beauty for the lack of deadliness– the Breath of Snow utilizes misdirection and inhumanly fast and precise attacks meant to cripple an opponent before the killing blow is dealt, with these strikes resembling the howling gales of blizzards.
More often than not Doma toys curiously with the demons he hunts, tossing them around with the nigh-invincible evasive ability of his breath before executing them, all in an effort to feel emotions. If the pleasures of human life could not elicit these so-called feelings his fellows had always talked about, then how about violence?
Pretty girls, pretty women; it’s not a real feeling that blooms in Doma’s chest (it’s hollow, Akaza hisses, hollow and cold as shit) but he enjoys them. Enjoys the rapturous expressions on their faces, from pleasure to fear to pain to happiness to despair– he puts his hands on their faces and smiles his best. The beatific one, the one that makes his eyes crinkle at the sides.
After his parents died, his father by his mother and his mother by himself, Doma continued to handle the cult, raised by devoted followers. He grew up the smiling, soulless leader of people he believed as foolish for putting such blind faith in him. It was only after the demon attack that the emotionless monotony of his life was shattered; wishing to devour the rainbow-eyed god the people whispered about, the demon disguised itself as a beautiful woman, hinging on Doma’s well-known desire for ladies. As soon as the demon was in Doma’s presence, it slaughtered all of his attendants and then announced its intention to feast on the leader.
More bemused than terrified, Doma was about to let the demon kill and eat him if only out of a detached curiosity. However, in its haste to eat Doma, the demon accidentally ripped open a curtain– letting sunlight spill into the room. Before Doma’s blessed eyes the demon burned to ashes.
Further curiosity led Doma to seek out the truth behind the sun and the thing that almost killed him. It eventually placed him on the path to the Demon Slayers, and his own desire to encounter the demons again brought him to his training, becoming a Slayer and eventually a Pillar. Discovering that killing demons gave him a semblance of feeling alongside his being with women, Doma strived to find the one kill that would give him a true rush.
This came in the form of a lonely flower-demon, whom the Slayers spoke of only in hushed whispers. Rumors of a demon who had killed her entire family and now atoned in some twisted way by caring for some child, a demon who only killed now to protect its pet. Needless to say that Doma was interested; a flower demon? Why, she’d have to be a very pretty demon indeed.
Kanae was a name Doma learned only after a long, fierce battle through the night. He had known the demon had caught his scent, and was already attempting to hide that human child she kept with her. Well, it wouldn’t do at all! It wasn’t difficult; the demon had no idea on how to fight properly whatsoever, and every flick of his fans and an intake of breath only weakened the demon further and further. It hadn’t taken long for him to bring the demon to her knees, and it was only as he had sent her head rolling into the snow that he heard a name being screamed into the wind.
It was nigh euphoric. The expression on Kanae’s face before he had taken her head was utterly sublime in its rage and grief and resignation, and Doma had felt a soaring glee at this particular hunt. It was a feeling, one that swelled to crescendos and made his blood run hot. The sun rose quickly and Doma left, satisfied. What a feeling to be alive.
Now the name of Kanae rings in Doma’s ears once again as news of Upper Moons circulate through the ranks. A demon borne through the blood of Upper Moon One at the same place where he had left Kanae to burn in the sun, a demon that demands his name with every kill and a demon that butchers any Slayer that dared wield breaths in vein to his. Doma only hums at the talk; another hunt to remember, then.

Hi, do you have an idea what Akaza’s name stand for ? I know what these kanjis individually mean but put together they seem kinda random lol
'Sup, Anon, thanks for your patience, today is nerdy name day, so time to get into this Ask-kaza!
(I'm a woman, I'm safe, Akaza won't hurt me for that stupid pun. I may be pushing my luck though.)
My initial thought is that the kanji are kind of random and cool-looking, just fit together like "ateji" (kanji chosen for sound rather than coherent meaning) to express a catchy name. 猗窩座 just plain has a nice complexity and balance to it, something I feel a lot of the Kimetsu no Yaiba demon names have. If we look into them individually we can get "exclamation of surprise/approval" and "hole" and "seat" so if you wanted to get really dumb with your interpretation you could picture someone expressing approval at such a fine hole in a chair (hmm, that's unflattering). But kanji hide plenty of mystery and KnY has too much lore to let it go at that!
To dive into it a bit more, while I think 座 is used more as a phonetic placeholder, it can be used very flexibility, for a "seat" is way, way more than something like a chair. This is a pedastal, a platform upon which something of value is set, a role which needs a place to be settled. If you look back into the Chinese usage it can be used a placeholder for counting very large and prominent things like buildings and mountains or even used as a polite form of address for people with big titles. You still see this capacity for honoring the larger-than-life in the naming of astrological constellations, ending many of them with this character denotes the Chinese (and by extension, Japanese) idea that each constellion is where the stars sit, a platform which is fitting for them. This isn't to say Akaza's name is supposed to denote a constellation, just saying that the use of 座 gives it an air of importance.
If we keep working backwards, 窩 isn't just a hole or a ditch, it's a place in which to hide something. It can even be used to denote sheltering something. A Japanese theory I found suggests that this is in reference to how Akaza has no memories of being human, they've been hidden away as though they disappeared into a hole.
And if we come back to 猗, it can also mean docile among other things (like "luxuriant" which doesn't seem to fit so I'm ignoring it), and according to one Japanese fandom theory I found, seems this is in reference to a dog made docile (snip-snip). We could look at this as Muzan having gelded him into a docile subordinate, but the Japanese theory I found goes on to tie in more of Hakuji's name (I'll be paraphrasing and adding a bit of my own emphasis to it).
The Haku 狛 is part of 狛犬, in reference to the stone statues of dogs who stand guard at shrines. (Fun fact, the -ji 治 is the same -ji in Tanjiro). It's a very righteous sounding name, reflecting the ideals Hakuji's father hoped for him. Tragically, Hakuji does not live up to this easily and turns into a mad dog (狂犬) when he loses his loved ones.
Having his memories snipped off, hidden away in some hollow part of himself, is what turns him into Muzan's docile dog.
