One thing I always find both funny and sad to see in SW TCW fics is the clones not realizing just how fucked up their childhoods and current treatment is. Like, they'll be reminiscing on childhood memories and it'll be the most fucked up stuff you've ever heard in your life, and they'll all be laughing about it without a care in the world as their Jedi looks at them in horror.

I literally read a fic earlier where the first chapter is Rex telling Anakin he's a natural blonde and apologizing for it, saying that he understands if Anakin wants him to be decommissioned, and Anakin immediately loses his shit at the implications. He spends a good portion of the chapter trying to explain to Rex why the Kaminoan eugenics stuff is bad, while Rex is just kind of standing there like "???"

It's all incredibly sad, but also weirdly funny to see the clones be so chill about it while the Jedi are incredibly disturbed and concerned.

How it felt watching Ahsoka (2023)

i guess it’s an ahsoka posting kinda day but i kind of always feel insane about her bc she is one of the most obvious manifestations about how the jedi order is Awful, Actually and the narrative is like. only halfway aware of that. remember that time she (aged 14) led an entire squadron and they all fucking died. remember how when she left the order (SHE WAS STILL A CHILD BTW) she had no resources whatsoever and was living on the streets. remember how her whole deal is that the order decided to give her to a guy they did not trust and had at the frontlines of a war like for character-building reasons. and u expect me to buy that she doesn’t hold immense and unending resentment about that?? her whole deal as an adult ISN’T being little miss child soldier trauma cult survivor?? come ONNNNN

Help! I'm writing a fic for a fandom I like but only know about the certain series and game I'm writing about as a casual 'I know this and that because I watched scenes and read the wiki but have never seen all of the episodes/never played with the game' and I've written nine pages of very thought provoking dialogue in the past two days so far that probably wouldn't slide well with the fandom because it contradicts many things in the established canon but I don't care because the cycle of nature doesn't have a good and evil side, Carl, the cycle of nature just cycles, don't blame nature when the people are the ones who use it for good or bad because they were never taught HOW to properly use it and how to deal with emotions in a HEALTHY way, and I abso-fucking-lutely LOVE writing this!!!!!! okay so the way i know that star wars is def not perfect for so many reasons but. ughgughgughgguggbghghghg thinking so much about how much i love the clone wars specifically in how it went batshit with the lore. there’s a fuckign. godzilla that was sleeping under a planet for years. there was an ancient bug queen under the surface and she was hatching weird parasites that could control your brain. there’s a whole ass nebula that are full of space whales. there’s a whole clan of witches who keep to themselves in this red, misty forest. anakin, obi-wan, and ahsoka meet the living personifications of the force/guardians of the force themselves or whatever the entire mortis arc was on about. like. ughughughugh i just love when star wars remembers that at its roots, it’s very much so a fantasy and just has so much fun with it
