My favorite part about Jason Todd and Tim Drake in the comics is that Jason has consistently used the same language regarding Tim from even the Titan's Tower origin.

Jason says that it's impossible for Tim to have found out Bruce's identity without it being intentional. "You can't be that good" and Tim literally hits him back with "I am." Then at the end of the fight Jason stands over a broken and bleeding out Tim and goes "do you think you're that good now?" and this guy chokes out "Yes."

During and after the attack, he sees what he missed before – that Tim is Robin in spirit (and not just because he happened to be "chosen" by Bruce like Jason assumed)

It becomes pretty consistent language. (Highly paraphrased) "Would I have been as good as him if I made those friends? Would I have been that good of a Robin/person if I was more like him?" And it is a very quick shift into admiration that grows throughout the different versions of their friendship (depending on which storyline/universe you refer to).

During the Battle of the Cowl, Jason wanted Tim to be his Robin – a job he knows would require a lot of time and trust from both of them. Anytime Tim is introduced in Jason's point of view, Tim stands out as either being "better than the other Bats" (some of the time it's just "the only one who doesn't make me want to puke" but I'll count those here too) or as being similar to Jason "both of us are outsiders together."

My favorite example, however, is from the DCeased Universe/story.

"Tim Drake: Friend. Robin. The Best of Us."

They absolutely have their terrible sniping and semi-hateful moments, but Jason's always seen Tim past the intelligence and for the Robin spirit – and admires him for it.

What did/do you like about Pharah?

Uh, gameplay-wise, I really love characters in shooters who rely on three-dimensional movement techs. Chaining together hover and jump to stay in the air for as long as possible and keep momentum is so satisfying, and picking enemies off from the sky made me feel like a bird of prey. I was a good Pharah main.

Story-wise, there unfortunately isn't much to canonically go off because Pharah is so underutilized and neglected. Her personality's pretty boilerplate "heroic hero" (she's literally inspired by Captain America).

But it's the crumbs/bits and pieces that I really latched onto. Pharah's a confirmed lesbian; her short story with Baptiste implies she harbors a crush on Mercy (fucking thank you.). She's biracial Egyptian/First Nations. She has major mommy issues, having grown up both admiring and resenting Ana. She's the bridge between Old Overwatch, inspired by the idealized heroes who surrounded her childhood, and New Overwatch. She's one of the only inter-generational characters in the cast; someone whose experiences span the gap, which is why I seriously believe Pharah would make a great main character.

There isn't much to go off of, though; she's a very uncomplicated character (she's a soldier for a private military corporation, lol.). But that just means she's a blank slate character, so I've seen fanfic writers run wild and create some really interesting takes on her. My favorite interpretation of her's a dense, herbo gym-bro type (a lot of her liens are about work outs, exercising, and playing sports) who's easily excitable under her seemingly self-serious, armored visage. We see how she tends to gloat and hype herself up when she's on a streak too, so Pharah definitely has a competitive and boastful side under her more professional and militant performance.

Now Mercy? Mercy is a real complex character.

I still plan on occasionally posting any Jevils I draw here on this blog. However it is no longer a proper daily blog. I really loved doing it, but I want to try other things as well. That being said my requests and messages will stay open! Always happy to receive a request or just a hello :]!

A message for the artists here!

As I said, Dailyjevil has been eye opening. I want to persue art in my future, so because of that I’ve built up the expectations that my art needs to be polished. But because my expectations were so high, I never posted at all! I got it in my head that I didn’t have the patience for consistent art posts. So when I started this blog on a whim I didn’t care. I drew in mspaint, with a mouse, no redraws, and empty white backgrounds. If I knew I couldn’t keep up for long, why bother with effort?

But the funny thing, is I was having fun being careless. So that fun as well as the excitement I got from seeing other jevil fans get excited for every new post lead me to one full year of this. It’s like I just remembered all of a sudden that.. I can just draw whatever I want. When did I forget that?

If you’re an artist of many years, or only just starting, I’d like to give you a challenge! Start a daily blog, and complete one full month! Do you have a favorite character? Maybe you could start your own daily jevil account! Doesn’t matter if it already exists! If you like the first month then keep going!!!!

I’m genuinely so proud of my improvement over this year. I’ve learnt a lot and I feel more passionate about my art than ever before. Whenever I start feeling too scared to draw.. I just want to remember that feeling I got when I finally switched the jevil counter from 364, to 365. I’d love for others to feel like I did.

The hardest part is just pushing yourself to do it. It doesn’t need to be complex. You got this!

Not even because of what he’s saying (but I do love what he’s saying) BUT I JUST LOVE HOW TOUCHY HE IS! This is the moment that birth my headcanon that his love language is physical affection. Just LOOK at him! Look at the way he puts his arms around her so casually. And he looks so happy while doing it. He just loves her so much! I CAAAN’T! HE’S SO FUCKING CUUUTE!

I don’t even rlly know how to put into word this tiny little moment makes me, but like… it just… my heart… my heart is in SHAMBLES over it. Every. Fucking. TIME!

Andréa!!! I wanted to let you know that seeing your fountain pen posting got me to cave in and I ended up getting a TWSBI ECO, the transparent purple was too pretty to resist. I now feel like a little bug dancing around as I wait for it to arrive. 🦟🦗🦟🦗🦟

Do you have any ink recommendations? I got Diamine Eclipse based on a friend, but some of the blues you use are really gorgeous!

here's every blue and the one purple i own!! i've gone and tweaked the 1st image to better reflect the colours (at least to my eye and computer screen, it may differ from screen to screen!) and i'll include an unedited photo too. i'll go over each one to attempt to capture their real life qualities:

Pilot Iroshizuku ama-iro: this ink is so bright it practically leaps off the page! it feels so much like staring into the deep blue of a swimming pool on a bright sunny day. i smile everytime i see it.

nagasawa onomatopoeia puka puka: this colour is super hard to capture. (in the unedited photo it's got some weird saturation going on + it's a little thin looking in both photos but in real life it's quite solidly readable) the shade of blue is this really special pastelly powdery blue that i think really neatly matches the 'tenshi kawaii' aesthetic or like, cinnamoroll merch. i adore it deeply.

pilot iroshizuku tsuki-yo: this ink is like, imagine the deep green-blue of a lily pad pond in the moonlight. that's how nice it is.

j. herbin diabolo menthe: as bright and miku-y as it looks. this one doesn't shade like the rest of the inks here, so it makes a pretty solid line.

takeda jimuki kyo-no-oto hisoku: this one is very dear to me. it's very much reminiscent of a cold churning ocean on an overcast day. i can basically feel that cold salty ocean mist when im writing with it ^u^ of all the inks here, this is the only one that has given me any problems, though - it's a tad on the dry side and the pens ive inked it with are more likely to hard start on me. not a dealbreaker exactly but good to know i think. the rest of these inks are very smooth juicy inks.

waterman paris tender purple: this ink is so rich and saturated that it makes me feel very kingly to write with it. it's a very velvety eggplant purple.

moving on to some inks on my wishlist that you might like!

the nagasawa puka-puka was so nice that i really want to try this shade of purple that they have too! (nagasawa onomatopoeia uto-uto)

pilot iroshizuku is another fantastic one and the murasaki-shikibu colour looks so TASTY!!! plus the kon-peki blue which is a bit darker than ama-iro!

jetpens just got these new inks that come in super cool bottles - endless alchemy (and i'm very interested in this shimmer ink: candy sea & toffee) if you're wanting to use a shimmer ink TWSBI is the best pen for that (theyre so good at not being clogged) PLUS if you're liking blue inks and have a purple pen i feel like this is soooo perfect!!! the pinky purple shimmer!!! itd be so gorgeous seeing it through the barrel!!

My TOTK Master Sword Pins came in! This is my first time trying double layered pins, the petals have some real DEPTH to them from the layers. It looks more like they are really fluttering away into the background. The two layers also gives the pin a very premium/sturdy/heavy feeling i didn't expect but in hindsight is obvious LOL

Comes with a custom backing card too, the pin itself is 3" long so perfect to hold and "swing" around lol
