My brother is convinced that he can “balance his hair’s oils” by refusing to shampoo it for weeks, and it’s come to a head today. My mom is apoplectic. She’s now shouting “my son wants to ruin the Christmas photos!” and that he “looks like a g-ddamn greaseball.”

In other news, we’re apparently responsible for bringing the menorah to Christmas dinner (and candles, which are extra easy to forget), and my granny asked me to teach everyone to play dreidel because “you can read the letters.” There are four letters on the dreidel, so I’m not sure how it’s at all meaningful that I can memorize נ, ה, ג, and ש. But apparently that means it’s my job to teach my Catholic grandma (and my very much non-Jewish cousins, if they aren’t too sick to come) how to play dreidel. That should be interesting.

Greasy Hair Brother and my mom also are having an argument about if blue is an acceptable shirt color for the Christmas photo, because everyone else is wearing red and green, but it is Hanukkah, so blue is seasonally appropriate.

Double the holidays? Double the chaos!

Jazz is a borzoi/Russian wolfhound, Dan is a Turkish boz shepherd, Danny is a Turkish angora, and Dani is a calico cat. When the Dannies transform, Dan’s colors get inverted, Danny is a tuxedo cat, and Dani’s fur turns full black.

My favorite part about Jason Todd and Tim Drake in the comics is that Jason has consistently used the same language regarding Tim from even the Titan's Tower origin.

Jason says that it's impossible for Tim to have found out Bruce's identity without it being intentional. "You can't be that good" and Tim literally hits him back with "I am." Then at the end of the fight Jason stands over a broken and bleeding out Tim and goes "do you think you're that good now?" and this guy chokes out "Yes."

During and after the attack, he sees what he missed before – that Tim is Robin in spirit (and not just because he happened to be "chosen" by Bruce like Jason assumed)

It becomes pretty consistent language. (Highly paraphrased) "Would I have been as good as him if I made those friends? Would I have been that good of a Robin/person if I was more like him?" And it is a very quick shift into admiration that grows throughout the different versions of their friendship (depending on which storyline/universe you refer to).

During the Battle of the Cowl, Jason wanted Tim to be his Robin – a job he knows would require a lot of time and trust from both of them. Anytime Tim is introduced in Jason's point of view, Tim stands out as either being "better than the other Bats" (some of the time it's just "the only one who doesn't make me want to puke" but I'll count those here too) or as being similar to Jason "both of us are outsiders together."

My favorite example, however, is from the DCeased Universe/story.

"Tim Drake: Friend. Robin. The Best of Us."

They absolutely have their terrible sniping and semi-hateful moments, but Jason's always seen Tim past the intelligence and for the Robin spirit – and admires him for it.

if cale ever gets to travel to a non-destroyed modern world, he HAS to take the kids to a theme park

like all of them. raon, on, hong, the wolf kids-

he has to buy all of them popcorn and slurpees

get them the themed headbands

ride every ride & go through the haunted house so the kids could complain about how unscary it was (while protecting their human of course)

I feel like they wouldn't be impressed with the rides unless they were called 'spine-breaker' or 'deadly hurricane of death 9000'

they also would not let cale get on said rollercoasters for his own safety

they MIGHT let him get on the teacups, it's a hard call bc he's as strong as wet tissue paper after all

anyway, afterwards raon builds a rollercoaster in the forest of darkness & the cats are inspired by the haunted house to make one that will actually kill someone by the end of it
