i have a chaotic idea: somehow, all of dethklok agere’d at the same time

I've been sitting on this ask because every time I read it, I burst out laughing at it.

Because I can hear it being said in this voice where no one has EVER thought of this before. Like you've discovered light and must show the world.

It would be very chaotic. HOWEVER, in the best way possible

I believe that Charles would take agere Dethklok over Regular Dethklok because A!Dethklok is predictable. They all drop together, welp, time to whip out the juice boxes, comic books, and cartoons. Here's some bean bag chairs and a pair of headphones. Toki gets his Deaddy Bear and his craft station. He could keep them all in the living room.

Honestly, I think they would have a good time. I don't think they would get into any huge fights and they do play with each other. Murderface always felt like a boy who played a lot with toys and Toki is someone who likes to watch and help and do what he can.

Murderface and Nathan are playing with match cars or Hot Wheels making a huge obstacle course. I think when they're agere together, they spend a lot of time playing (especially if Nathan is still unsure of his regression ability and needs that extra help to get him settled.)

Skwisgaar and Pickles are either watching cartoons or reading. Skwisgaar would be messing with his guitar like he's first learning how to play again while keeping one eye on the TV for Moomins. Pickles is draped over him reading a Hardy Boys detective book. He's been keeping any eye on Toki, who's been babbling to himself playing with magnetic toys and his stuffies.

However, I do think they could go full crazy. Murderface is getting stir crazy and angry because when he's small, he wants to go out and play and explore and do things outside (He's my little Appalachian boy.) Nathan is feeling insecure and is mute but he doesn't know what to do, but he knows he wants to do something, and gets himself into a stupor. Pickles is feeling mischievous and wants to pick pocket a beer but Charles does not want to deal with a buzzed Pickles with an A!Dethklok, so Pickles keeps failing and getting pissed. Skwisgaar keeps having to find spots away from Toki because he wants to be left alone but Toki wants to watch, and when Skwisgaar moves, Toki throws a tantrum.

They are a handful, for sure.

I just love them so much! I do also imagine them doing crafts together when small, like making bracelets or puzzles together. I think they would spend hours together putting together a puzzle. Most of it is making sure Toki doesn't swallow a piece, but he's pretty content if he can at least hold a piece.

I watched Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar and Toki is a canonical age regressor who carrys a “Deadybear” around with him and the whole band accepts it and supports it and it’s not even a humorous focal point or anything. Pickles just says “Sorry, you know, Toki's a little sensitive these days. We think he's regressing from, you know, the whole thing.” When Toki has on outburst from being told not to something and other than him always having his comfort bear that’s the only way it’s mentioned, he is still the Toki we love.

It’s so nice to see regression presented in a legitimate way, Toki and the whole band went through hell, we see Nathan struggling with his own ptsd also. The fact that the whole band -including murderface who usually hits below the belt with his insults- just goes with it.

Plot just wasn't going anywhere and the tone is weird.

Wade is silent.

He has been for a few days.

At least thats what it felt like.

In truth, Logan hasn't heard Wade say anything since 4 pm, and it was already 10. Wade? Not talking? For 6 hours straight? It didn't feel real.

He didn't feel real. But Logan had already sniffed him. Already pulled him in his arms and sniffed all over him. Maybe it wasn't him. Who knows with all these newer shape shifting mutants and space aliens. Nope. That was Wade. He could smell his emotions changing. He was upset today. In a lot of pain. Both mental and physical.

Al hadn't even known Wade was in the room with them earlier. He was so silent, and Puppins had to sniff him too to make sure Logan didn't bring a different man in the house. Man, Puppins hated when they brought different men over. Either way, she just looked up at him, wagging her tail a little only to stop, watching Wade walk away in silence.

Today, he had just been doing random things, sitting on the counter, staring at him, sitting on the floor, flinching earlier when Logan tried to touch him.

"Wade? What's wrong, bub?" But he just stared, doe eyed and looked as if he hadn't a clue what was going on.

Okay, So he was quiet today. Oh well. He was sure tomarrow he'd start yapping. Sometimes he just was sad. Thats okay... well... that's what Logan thought.

But the next morning, he woke up to Wade, not in the bed. "Wade?" He can smell him but.. where did he go? He's not here.

And this reallt pisses Logan off cause where the hell did he go? At this point he's playing Hot-Cold with his scent, looking in the closet, under the bed, in the bathroom, the kitchen, and the livingroom.

Grunting, he decides to try tracking him instead. Its more difficult because this whole place smells like wade, so he has to focus on the freshest steps. The trail leads him all over before leaving. Looking around, he sniffs the wind only to spot Wade on the roof.

"What are you doing up there!??" He shouts at him, but Wade dosn't awnser. He's just... standing. Staring. What he's staring at, Logan dosn't know but he figures he should find out. So he does what any sensible person would do and climbs up there.

With grunts, groans, and pops of bones he reaches the top with a sigh. "Wade?"

By now, he's sitting. Legs crossed and holding something.

"Whatcha got? I swear if it's a raccoon." But it's not a raccoon. It's not even an opossum.

It's that stupid velociraptor cable gave him. The way he's sitting. It's almost like he's waiting for something. Or someone.

"Wade? What are you doing up here, hm?" Logan asks, shifting to sit next to him, trying to see what he's looking at. You couldn't see much from this spot, which only confused him more.

"Wade? Bub, talk to me. Whatcha lookin' at?"

Wade doesn't awnser. His silence is already upsetting enough without them being on a roof and the feeling he was waiting for a different man.

Logan wasn't stupid. It didn't take a scientist to figure out that Wade was probably little. Though what he didn't get is why now? Why did he suddenly think he was coming? Did he tell him? Why didn't Wade tell him?

He shook his head a bit, trying to clear his mind of illogical thoughts. Being jealous isn't going to help you, dumbass.

"...Can you tell me.. anything?" He asks him.

Wade dosn't look at him.

Logan takes his hand, squeezing it.

And like activating a sensor, tears fall, looking at Logan as if he just now noticed he was here.

His breathing hitches, heart rate quickens. And Wade cries. Cries like a child who was lied too. Like a kid who had no clue how he even got on this roof. Why he was here.

"O-oh, uhhh.. Hi.. hey bub.. uhm.. you alright?"

Wade turns, clinging to him, sobbing into his arm, nails digging into him. "Hey, shhh. I know, I know. It's okay. It'll be alright." He promises. Because if Logan knew anything, it would be that he'd do anything to make sure Wade was okay. Even if he was missing someone else, he'd be there for him.

But he swore deep down that if he found out that Nathan *Did* promise to be here and he didn't show up, he'd punch him right in that cyber eye of his. Just the once.

No one was allowed to make wade cry. Not like this. Not even him.

I like to think that Scott acts as his caregiver getting to be his dad in a way he never got to. Nathan is scared to get closer to Scott fearing he’ll be let down by him again.

Neither is of them acknowledging verbally that they’re craving to slip into these roles. To care and be cared for.

Nathan doesn’t know why , though hesitant he lets Scott offer a supportive hand on his back. Even as a grown man- he is deep down still needing to fulfill the needs of Nathan lost alone in the future.

(no surprise its the agere anon) for reasons, im also considering: theres a small group of klokateers hired mostly for regression care i.e. the whole band’s regressed, charles has to do paperwork, and the boys are feeling extra energetic

OH YES! HELLO MY DEAR AGERE ANON!

In my Toki Agere HC list, I do have down that there are a very few and select klokateers that take care of the Toki when he is regressed and everyone else is unavailable. If they failed in their mission in protecting and care for Toki, the things that would be done to them in punishment would make MMA look like a party clown.

I also remember reading a Y/N/Reader regression caretaker story on AO3 where you are Toki's newly appointed caretaker for his regression. That was a good fic, very cute. Nathan was extra cuddly in that fic.

Anyway, YES! There is absolutely a group of them that help with the boys. They are all trained and qualified and have been taught about each boys regression and what makes them different from each other and what works for them but not others. I like to think that the Regression Klokateers are both revered by other klokateers by having some of the highest clearance to the band while also pitied because of how stressful the job is. If they fail, it's game over for them. There is no mercy. Charles hand selected these people to care for the boys he he can't and he will make it hell on earth if he finds out that one of them got hurt or was mistreated.

I've always thought of Murderface being very free from caregivers. He doesn't want one and that goes for klokateers too. For the most part, as long as Murderface is within earshot and doing his own thing, the klokateers know to leave him alone. He prefers to be alone. However, Toki wants care all of the time, everywhere. Those klokateers are ready to attend a tea party at a drop of a hat. They will play dress up or play games with Toki on a moments notice. The klokateers are meant for their enjoyment and care.

However, the klokateers also have strict rules to follow from Charles that the boys have to follow, which gives the klokaters the very rare authority over them. For instance, Charles does not want the boys to only eat junk food when they are small, so the klokateers will craft healthy and balanced alternatives, while also giving them the power to take away unhealthy snacks once they've reached their limit. They do have time out power and "grounding" power if a boy is doing something they shouldn't be doing (getting into stuff that only big them should be touching, not following rules, hurting themselves or others.)

The other klokateers ask them in secret what it feels like to "Boss" around the bosses. They always tell them the same answer, "It feels fantastic because it means I can keep my masters safe."

I think the boys are indifferent to being watched by the klokateers as opposed to Charles. But they know that the klokateers are more likely to follow the rules while they can bend them a little with Charles.

Those klokateers are going white by age 25, not because the job is hard, but because the threat level is so high.
