very base level character analysis or whatever but im very taken with bull. he doesnt i guess capital d Downplay the fact that hes extremely intelligent and observant and insightful, hes open about the fact that hes ben-hassrath and they dont make ben-hassrath that aren't whip-smart but he seems very happy to let people underestimate him. ben-hassrath trait also i guess. you can bring him along with any other one companion for long enough that hell develop a pretty good friendship with them and theyll still keep having moments where bull casually reveals that hes like the thedosian sherlock holmes in how easily he cracks people open and reads them by just glancing at them. "i hadnt realized you were that smart", solas will say hours of time spent together after the two of them played actual mental chess to pass the time on a journey. "you figure out how you would kill everyone you meet that easily?" "you don't?". he spends all of the tomb of fairel quest chattering about architecture and history and speculating about the philosophy of the people who built the ruins you wander into and just attributes how knowledgeable he is to "ehh, you spend enough time knocking walls down and you learn some things about how to build them". i wish we got tombs of fairel-esque moments from him more often because he's generally not really one to reveal his hand and openly give his thoughts like that unless prompted but he had to nerd out about those crypts...

I don't advertise my age. Partly because it's none of your goddamn business. Partly because it's irrelevant (I'm legally allowed to be in the places I am and that's all that counts). And partly because I don't really give a damn.

I know there are a growing number of Youngsters who have been whipped into a frenzy of paranoia and suspicion about Oldsters. I know they've been tricked into believing there are upper age limits on tumblr and other parts of the internet and that anyone over the age of, like, 22 is a creepy dangerous predator who shouldn't be here and thus must have twisted sicko motives for remaining online past their imaginary use by dates.

I also know that all that nonsense has been dreamed up primarily by conservative extremists whose goal is to isolate and alienate folks to make them more susceptible to their poisoned propaganda.

Yes, media literacy is failing at all levels, but that doesn't mean it's impossible to learn. If you're properly motivated. And I feel like learning you're becoming a conservative redcap would be motivation enough to fight back against the indoctrination.
