lili-loves-whump presents, for @mirohtron,
Secret Santa
(AN: I’d like to say right now I’m honestly ashamed at myself and my circumstances that meant I couldn’t post this on time. If you, miro, want compensation or an explanation I will happily give them to you.)
Villain walked slowly, careful not to jostle the box I their hands. They shifted the oversized gift into one hand and fished around in the pocket closest to their hip.
The paper was thin and rectangular and had a few words written in Villain’s loopy cursive.
“To Mastermind,” they muttered, placing the slip underneath the bow that sat on top. The glittery details shone in the wrapping paper as it caught the light. “From your secret Santa.”
They smiled to themselves. The Corporate’s annual Secret Santa was a hard thing to get included in, but this year, after nearly three of being excluded, they finally got to draw a name.
Villain frowned internally at the memory. Everyone jeered as they went up. “Softie,” they jeered, “why do they even try? Everyone knows they’ll fail at being evil.” There were worst things to be told, of course, and the Corporates were all villains, of course. They should’ve expected the newcomer to be picked on.
They hadn’t.
The jeer had turned into a chant. Every previous turmoil was destroyed for the new idea of making villain uncomfortable as possible. “Softie, softie, why even try? Everyone knows they’ll fail, fail, fail, fail…”
The gift had to be placed outside of Mastermind’s safe house. Villain placed the box gently on the step, adjusting the bow before stepping back and ringing the doorbell.
At first, nothing.
Villain wrung their hands.
Then, the door swung open, and a tall Ann snatched the box into the house. His reflexes were lightning quick- Villain barely even blinked.
The ran a hand through their hair absentmindedly before reaching down at plucking the tiny envelope left on the doorstep.
The house seemed to sigh with relief when they walked away. The inhabitants shuffled, but didn’t make themselves known.
Villain walks quickly away from the safe house, heading towards their car.
They unlocked it and tossed themselves into the driver’s seat, eager to escape the summertime sun.
With a sigh, they opened the envelope slowly. It was pristine, the brightest white against their eyes, but minuscule.
Inside, a tiny card, obviously handmade, with messy pink details on the edges. Villain smiled- the bordering looked a little like lace.
They opened the card slowly. Inside, an address, name, and multiple hundred dollar bills. The money fluttered into Villain’s lap. They felt their cheeks burn when they remembered their own gift.
About 2 minutes walk away, Mastermind cackled with their Rubric’s cube, placing it back inside the wooden puzzlebox. The shades of purple kn the cube were so similar it was virtually impossible to solve, but easy to tell if it was scrambled. They locked the puzzlebox closed and tried a different method to opening it.
(AN: might do a part two?? Felt shorter than what I was going for. If so I’ll tag @mirohtron)

Okay but Tommy drops out of high school — he told his father he was gay and he told him he could either be homeless or go to military school. He goes to military school and joins the army and he likes flying the helicopters because it means he doesn’t have to do any of the killing himself. And he makes some friends.
There's one guy who's like the squad leader who's a few years old and built like a Greek god and Tommy's young and a little bit in love. And they're friends maybe even family because this whole group of people spend every waking (and sleeping) moment together. And they all talk like a family and they all say they love each other and tease each other and it's nice. And one night it's just the two of them trading a flask of some sort of alcohol that Tommy doesn't know the name of and the man asks Tommy why he joined the army and where he wants to be in five years and Tommy trusts this man. He's half way in love with him so he doesn't even think twice before he tells the story about the time he came out to his family and his father nearly beat him to death before sending him here. And the conversation tapers off after that and he doesn’t register the change in the air but when he wakes up the next morning he’s being dishonourably discharged because he poses “unacceptable risk to the high standards of morale, good order and discipline, and unit cohesion that are the essence of military capability”. He knows what that means.
Tommy joins the fire department because he doesn’t know what else to do. He represses anything regarding his sexuality because he knows now that it’s wrong. He almost feels like he has a family again because his captain seems to like him and some of the guys are cool even if they say things he doesn’t agree with. And then he starts agreeing because maybe they’re right and he’s wrong and he’s just inherently wrong. So he follows their leads and is just straight racist because that’s how he can fit in.
And then a black lesbian woman joins and says she’s a black lesbian woman and Tommy doesn’t understand that either because you can’t be queer you just can’t be because it’s wrong.
But he nearly dies and and an Asian man saves his life and a black lesbian woman comes up with a better idea than any of them had and she tells them she’s no different and she is just as capable. So he improves himself he does and he tries to be better but he still can’t be who he is because the last 2 times he was honest about that he was betrayed.
Tommy leaves the 118 and “don’t ask, don’t tell” is lifted and he meets this guy he likes who likes him back and the 217 don’t seem to have a problem with the gender neutral pronouns and he slowly but surely lets himself open up again and be who he is and when the thing with that guy doesn’t work out because he’s moving to New York and Tommy’s not sure he’s ready to leave, it’s okay because his crew is there and they support him and he can still be himself.

AU where after Glamrock Bonnie’s decommission/after he goes missing, Glamrock Freddy and the rest of the remaining animatronics end up being reprogrammed—or, basically, having their memories messed with.
The only change to the rest of the animatronics is that they don’t remember anything about Glamrock Bonnie. They’d know about Bonnie Bowl and small things like that—but have no idea that they all had a Bonnie.
As for Glamrock Bonnie himself, they end up having something wrong with the memories, too. Although it’s not because he was reprogrammed or anything—it’s because of the damage/the state they are in.
And with them, whether it’s a “Cassie finds them during Ruin and helps, then leaves with him” type of situation, or something different (like Gregory staying and finding him), Glam. Bon would eventually see Glam. Fred again.
Though, there’s that problem: Reprogramming for Glam Fred to literally not know who the bunny is, and Glam Bon having all of that damage.
But, despite that, both of them feel like there’s something—even just the tiniest bit—familiar about the other.
Long story short: Glam. Bon goes, the others are reprogrammed and forget them—Glam Bon’s damage causes him to forget. The two reunite, but have no idea who the other is.

Emotionally, 23.5 (episode 10) is like a cheaply made puzzle, where like, the edges are cut roughly, so like, you THINK that you have the right pieces next to each other, but when you smush them in, and they don't fit QUITE smoothly enough, you're like, oh maybe there's another piece, but like, you CAN'T find another piece that works, because like, the piece you have in your hand IS the piece that is the right one for the picture you're making, or like, you THINK it is, so like, you keep smushing the pieces together, and you THINK the puzzle makes sense, but you kinda feel like you have the wrong piece, or worse, you're MISSING A BETTER PIECE, because everything's NOT QUITE JIVING.
I hope this post made as much sense as the emotional journey we attempted to take with the script in this last episode. What the FUCK is this script doing to Ongsa? A little more context, some smoother edges, would be really helpful here!

Merlin fantasy creature AU part 3
The poem in the picture is a part of "Giving" by Khalil Gibran
The first time Merlin has to use so much magical energy, he's not ready for the consequences. He used to feel exhausted after using too much at once, that's a fact. But he didn't know the chaotic force would literally rip his human body apart.
The pain doesn't matter though. If he doesn't do anything he'll die here right after Lancelot and then the serpents will invade Camelot. Even if he did survive there would be nothing to come back to. So he braces himself. Ready for any outcome.
He blacks out. Wakes up with Lance tending to his wounds and regrets not dying because it hurts even more.
They have to spend a few days away from Camelot so Merlin's power stabilizes again and he can regenerate his body at least to the point of getting rid of the very visible and unnatural crystals and holes pulsing with yellow energy.
Arthur is kinda annoyed at first. They were supposed to be back ages ago and it wasn't even that hard of a mission. He knows very well how close Merlin and Lancelot are. He's seen them whispering in the castle's corridors to each other countless times. Maybe that was their whole plan, to get a week or two off work.
Few more days pass by and he's pretty sure that's not it. He starts worrying and honestly hoping. Maybe they did run away together. Good for them. At least they're alive. Somewhere. Ugh.
He finally gets some free time and almost decides to go on a search when finally he's informed that Merlin and Lancelot came back. He doesn't think. Just wants to finally see them again. See Merlin again and make sure he's okay.
He's far from it but he's breathing. And that's something. Arthur gets angry at Merlin for neglecting his wounds and takes him to Gaius. He gets a few days off after that.
