I recently found out I might be an Aegoplatonic. I know I'm Aegoromantic and Aegosexual but never thought about platonic attraction. And come to think of it, I've always had less desire for interpersonal relationships themselves, so maybe other attractions are Aspec too?

I like the various relationships of characters in fictional stories(such as lovers, families, friends, etc.), but I've never wanted to have that in real life. I don't want friends just like don't want lovers. and don't feel love-thing to my family...It feels like having an aego-like attitude(?) when interact with people in general.

Aegosexual: The exact definition of this label is imprecise, and has evolved over time. Generally speaking, this is a term for those who do not feel sexual attraction, but do enjoy relationship-related activities or situations in media or in fantasies. The specifics may vary from person to person, but the common thread seems to be a lack of personal attraction, and a sense of alienation from the idea that lack of attraction implies the absence of fantasies, as well as the idea that the presence of fantasies implies the possibility of attraction. Aego fantasies generally do not involve themselves, only other individuals. "Aego" is an aspec identity that is used as a prefix, and can be combined with other identities such as aegobisexual, or even other forms of attraction like aegoplatonic

I have found out why I can't ship anything. I'm aegosexual. Or aegoplatonic. Or something near those two weird labels as a short hand for something far more complex. 

I take myself completely out of the equation and just read the work as written. I don't have any urge to mush two characters together. I take the narrative, go "That was neat" and move onto the next one.

This probably explains a lot about why I just can’t comprehend the desire to make fanfiction. I don’t put myself in anyone’s shoes to the level that I need to rewrite a scenario because if I were in this situation I think it’d go this way. Or I’d romance this person because they’re clearly so much better suited for me- I mean this character I’ve imprinted on. 

This probably is some kind of contributing factor to my disillusion with religion, spirituality, and why I think parasocialiality is fucking cringe. I’m so me that I can’t get enjoyment out of pretending this youtuber or influencer or vtuber is actually talking to me. I immediately default to “Man. This clip is going to make bank with cringe weirdos.” 

Unfortunately this may explain why I’ve had absolutely no interest in embroiling myself in an actual relationship in... 8 years. I just can’t bring myself to care enough to put in the effort. So I might actually be aromantic afterall, which is a bummer because I was looking forward to finding the right friend to hang out with for life. Unfortunately my brain might not work quite right for that.

So when you’ve got a venn diagram of Autism, Asexuality, Agender, ADHyperfixationD, Aegosexuality, and an edge case of Aromantacism. What you get is AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Fuck this is an annoying combo of status effects to have. I even discovered I’m lactose intolerant and have a minor potato allergy so I can’t even take solace in my indefinite solitude with a big plate of bacon cheese fries. What a fucking load of donkey piss.

Being Aego, Cupio, and Anattractional is so weird cuz its like

I can look at other people and their relationships, whether they are real or fictional, and vicariously try to feel those feelings through them - tight friendships, sappy romances, steamy romances. I can get jealous of what they have and how those feelings come so easy for them.

I can think about the real people in my own life, and pick and decide which person I would want to have what relationship with - I could ask this friend to cuddle, I might enjoy being in a soft romantic relationship with this person, a qpr would be cool with this friend.

But then I actually interact with them in person and... nothing. No attraction and no desire - for anything. And more than that, reality hits me in those moments and I doubt whether I ever wanted those kinds of relationships in the first place

It's just a constant cycle of confusing and contradictory feelings...
