This one was fun.

@unchainmesister- A writing prompt given by this lovely person. How would David react if Star had gone through with making Michael her first kill?

The boys were cutting it close that morning, heading back to the cave as the horizon turned pink, yellow and orange, but David wanted to give Star as much time as she needed. His hope was that her instinctual urges would surpass what she thought was her heart, beating like a drum for the boy, Michael.

This was her last chance. David had already given her plenty of free passes, even going to the extent of keeping his true face, as well as the others, hidden so as not to scare her.  It was his wish that she came around on her own and thanks to Max, Michael was the perfect opportunity.  Not only that, but his death would surely foil the head vampire’s plans, thus giving the Widow Johnson a chance to take Santa Carla once and for all.

All of that was just extra, icing on the cake so to speak.  It didn’t matter until the deed was done, and as the leader of this wild pack ducked into the cave through a welcome narrow opening, he got his first whiff of fresh blood.

The others followed suit, whooping and hollering joyous praise as soon as they smelled the news, despite their need for sleep.  They disappeared fast down the wrecked elevator shaft, leaving David alone to consult Star and celebrate victory.  Soon they would be free of Max.

The smell of death had never been more prominent in their home as David landed soft on the old floor of the hotel, without making a sound.  As it were, one could hear a pin drop in the dirt it was that quiet.  He could even hear the soft flicker from the flames eating away at the candles, all lit in various places, working to keep the cave bright.

He was anxious to know the grimy details. Had there been a struggle or a fight? How vicious could Star really be?  The excited curiosity pushed him to show his figure fast, instead of concealing it until the right moment presented itself, but surely, she had to have known already that he was there.  Her curtains were frayed and torn apart, leaving an opening for all to see the inside of her secret lair.

ALL DAVID ALL THE TIME

The Sideshow David figurine arrived this week, joining the Cult King "Santa Carla Blood Suckers" figure and the little David Funkos - just in time for Halloween!

The head sculpt is much smaller and quite different. Both are a pretty nice likeness of young Kiefer. I like Sideshow 's more wild hairstyle, but also love the hint of softness in the Cult King sculpt.

The Sideshow accessories are also smaller, but VERY nice quality, especially the "glass" blood bottle. Costuming is pretty on par with each other. Sideshow's navy shirt is a bit weird, but the patterned jacquard lining inside his peacoat is EXQUISITE and really shows how intentional this product was designed (since it shows when he hangs upside down from the *shudder* finger toes.)

I'm not sure what kind of body Sideshow uses as standard. Sadly the heads Don't fit on the standard hot toys neck, so I can't just make a third David without a bit of customization. 😉

The Hot Toys body also means the Cult King DOES come with Extra Beefy Thigh Options, for all your THICC David needs.

As for the finger toes.... oh my God. These things are so gross. I can't believe they are in my house right now. 😭

Here's a pallet cleanser! The best thing about the sideshow sculpt being so much smaller is he can finally make out with my tiny Jack Bauer head. 🤣❤️
