The reason wincest WORKS and is valid and the people who like it are not insane/incestuous (even though some losers *read hellers* may disagree) is solely because of jared and jensen and THEIR dynamic and the energy they put into THEIR characters.

Also read: these characters who are brothers are FICTIONAL. They are not Real People.

Anyone who has siblings can attest to the fact that regular run-of-the-mill normal siblings do not act like Sam/Dean in any way. Not even close. Canon salmondean relationship weirdness/gencest/weirdcest crawled so that fanon wincest could walk. Why is this hard to wrap your head around. People who enjoy/ship wincest are not gross incestuous fucks. They are people who read into the subtext (and sometimes even the in-your-face text) on a Gothic horror show about Super Weird brothers cruising through the American country to kill things that go bump in the night.

Because really, do you and your brother/sister run around doing absolutely everything together? Do you self insert yourself into your sibling's life because you want to have the absolute final say about their actions and decisions?? Forsake multiple romantic relationships in favour of being with each other??? Coop up, isolate yourselves and play house with each other and compare yourselves to married couples/people in relationships???? because if you do, YOU ARE WEIRD much like sam and dean.

Real non-incestuous siblings are usually Normal About Each Other. Get that through your thick skull.

fic is a safe space, probably one of the last safe spaces. by safe i mean safe from the pressure of caving to advertisers. you can write fic about anything and not worry (shouldn’t worry) about what’s popular or what an advertiser oriented algorithm will pick up. what i mean by this is that you don’t have to bring this advertiser friendly behavior into fic. heroes can make bad decisions, people can fall out of love, villains can win, villainous organizations can win, redemption doesn’t have to happen, etc. make things a little messy if you want to, because life can be messy and art is a reflection of life. not what the advertisers have decided for us life is like, real life. this is one of the last places where this is still possible

wild how much fans degraded lizzy's obsession with cuteness and often write ciel being annoyed by its uselessness, seeing how much of his career is all about seeing cute things, researching cute things, hell he even uses her as a beta tester for products, going to her for feedback because he values her taste in cute things but ok SURE she doesn't get his interests at all...

Still can't believe gege became our secret santa and blessed us with this official yuji sukuna art...

Such a wonderful way to end the series and the year... It still feels like a dream ....i think it's safe to say that none of us had never expected that he would do something like that.

when the manga ended I was satisfied but still had this desire to see sukuna reciprocating/acknowledging yuji's kindness but not in the subtle way like he did in the last chapter by accepting to change and not cursing others ... So I was kinda sad and disappointed when there was nothing like that in vol extras...

Then this illustration came out and OH MY GOD.. Sukuna dancing with yuji although irritated still holding yuji by waist , fingers interlocked, mind you this is the same sukuna who doesn't like physical contact but still is as involved in it as yuji.... And then there is yuji my baby happily enjoying the dance or maybe it's sukuna's grumpy face that made him laugh looks so angelic in the snow...which immediately reminded me of this ozawa's epilogue where yuji admitted how snow is still special to him.

... Pretty sure gege did that to tell us that it's because of sukuna yuji finds snow special and to make the art meaningful....

And that quote...in which sukuna is admitting yuji's soul provides him the comfort / has this warm presence .. Which in my opinion is just him calling yuji his home as after yuji's declaration to live with him sukuna has gained a place/ home to which he can always return as yuji would always accept him even if nobody else does....

Btw I saw some jp fans analyzing the quote and the result was this

Gege has used a pretty strong word to describe sukuna's feelings for yuji ... Although it does make sense considering yuji literally offered the king of curses the option to live with him which really shocked him coz all he has ever received is rejection since the day he was born I guess so it was hard for him to accept that there is someone so kind who can accept and wants to share his life with him .. And was the only one who he couldn't break as he never once threw his ideals in search of strength and turned those very ideals into his strength that rattled sukuna to its core....

And there is that acknowledgment that i was really looking for...... After reading this quote, in my mind there was no doubt that yuji and sukuna's bond has turned into something special which can't be replaced by others and shouldn't be restricted to only familial, romantic, platonic love... Their souls are intertwined . Atp they are literal soulmates..

Tbh when I see the art I can't help but think there's more.. There's no way that's it...but even if that's not the case I am fine with it.... I can't be greedy now that I have literally got what I really wanted for my two fav characters..... As a reader I do have problems with some aspects of story but I guess gege already knows that so I guess he will be working on it through anime ..

This AU is (unfortunately) still in early development while I'm busy with school but there's some basic lore bits.

Half-monsters (hanmon) are a third group of organism between humans and pokemon. They are the result of ancient species from both groups combining and evolving over millenia to become specialized species of their own. They have monstrous appearances akin to pokemon, but wield only physical abilities like humans. Due to the nature of how they were formed and how they are viewed, most live in hiding, with only a few thousand individuals being observed and recorded

White Mountain Snakes are native to the Sin-Joh regions, showing up in traditional manuscripts as messengers of regional deities to guide and bring good luck to humans. Ingo and Emmet are children in a family that moved from Sinnoh to Unova. As such they consider themselves part of three cultures, and speak three languages

The twins are one of the only well known examples of hanmon in the present day. Most people are divided on their feelings about half-monsters, so they try very hard to skew the perception in a more positive direction. They act very proper with others and in public, only letting up and relaxing at home

Ingo does end up falling through the rift to Hisui. His main concern is that he fell right as the different clans were fighting over who was right, and having a "divine messenger" appear in Pearl Clan territory has caused a whole new mess for Ingo and the clanspeople

As for the serpents themselves:

The twins are constrictors, lacking fangs and instead having insanely muscular lower halves for wrapping and crushing prey in their grip. Depending on the size of the food they're eating, they might also just crush it with their bare hands to make it more manageable to swallow quickly

They are looooong, something like 10m in length from head to tail. The subway has multiple posters up warning patrons to watch their step in case they trip over them in traffic

They are awfully sensitive to temperature change. They sleep under a giant electric blanket, wear thick uniforms, and set the driving car temperature to be warm. Summer is their best working season, however they tend to stop working in winter to hibernate for about 4 months, much to the dismay of Battle Subway fans, staff, and local grocers

They'll shed about thrice a year and assist each other with peeling it when possible. This is mostly since they aren't dexterous enough to reach parts of their back. Shedding time means it's time for this little competition of theirs where they attempt to pull the longest pieces of shed possible off the other. Ingo is not very good at dealing with Emmet's dry ass and ends up accidentally cracking it most of the time. They sometimes give the scrap shed to Elesa for use in fashion outfits

Ingo's mouth is much narrower than Emmet's, he often has to stretch his jaws to accommodate something Emmet can eat easily. As a result the tissue connecting his jaws in the front is more stretchy

The twins have different organ locations due to their long structure. This usually doesn't affect their job but if you give them a hug you will feel the heart pumping in their abdomen

i think, just as any attempt to create a precise and coherent definition of art is a fool's errand, so is any attempt at assinging all art the same, grander purpose - a double fool's errant if the purpose is assigned with the intent of defining art.

not everything is going to be some deeper insight into human nature or invoke feelings you forgot you were capable of. there's just too much art out there for it all to be one single thing. too many paintings, too many songs, too much poetry. some of it is going to be idle doodles, shallow clout chases, cynical cash grabs, pure propaganda, made for advertising, made for fun, made for nobody else but its creator. we get so stuck on splitting up creations into Real Art and Not Actually Art i think we forget that art can just be bad. it's allowed

Humble Beginnings - patcap, one-shot. A ghostswap fic where Pat explains how he and Captain met, and stumbled their way into dating

Right-Hand Man -  patcap, one-shot. Au where Pat is Captain's lieutenant, and only through death can they truly be together 

The Space In-Between (name liable to change) - patcap, multi-chapter. Pat can see ghosts, and after moving into Button Manor, uses that gift to help various spirits move on, including the one that seems strangely attached to the Captain 

A Year Behind Locked Doors - patulian (Pat x Juian), multi-chapter. Alive 90s au, following his messy divorce, Pat moves in with his friend of dubious morality, Julian, who's been hiding away in Button Manor, never leaving, for months to escape the press and public

Another Place, Another Time - captainxpatxhavers, multi-chapter. A ghostswap au, though technically not in continuity with the other fics. Married couple Pat and Cap invite Cap's old lieutenant Havers to visit them for a few weeks, where old desires are reignited and new ones bloom

One Tea Eternally Full, Please - patcap, one-shot. An end of the world, m.agnus archives style fic where Pats's alone, traversing a nightmare dimension, until he's saved by his now distinctly monstrous crush

The Haunting of Button Manor - patcap, multi-chapter. Pat, Kitty and Mary are semi-famous ghost hunters, brought to Button Manor to deal with some ghosts. It gets super fucking weird

Where The Land Meets The Sea - patcap, multi-chapter. A post ww2 mermaid au with Captain as a wounded mermaid Pat is forced to take care of 

Of Fangs and Claws - patcap, patulian, patcapulian, multi-chapter, unfinished (possibly? on-going?). After Alison is bitten by an unknown werewolf, her and Mike are invited into the magical realm by a friendly pack of werewolves. Together with the aloof Button vampires, they team up to find just who attacked Alison and why

Nos Et Cedamus Amori - patcap, one-shot. Roman au, Captain is a Commander in the Roman army, and Patrick a nymph that haunts the baths at night

Stand and Deliver - patcap, multi-chapter. A highwaymen au where Captain is a nobleman captured by a gang of dandy highwaymen and has an enemies to lovers arc with the most mysterious one in the group

But, things go pears shaped when he finds out that person is in fact real, the father to one of his students, Daley, and has been missing for years

Tender Is the Touch - humphreyxpat, one-shot. A roleswap au where Pat's a ww2 captain, Humphrey's a Stuart hanged for being a witch, and Pat gives a massage so good that they have to kiss about it
