Israel’s government run twitter accounts routinely post bits about how Hamas is living in luxury while their people suffer, or how their people turned out in support of soldiers marching with flags and cheering, or how there’s so many displaced settlers that they’ve constructed a tent city. All these posts are accompanied by photos, supposedly to act as proof, but if you look at them for more than two seconds they are so blatantly AI generated it’s not even funny.

The official IDF tiktok account posts videos of their younger soldiers singing and dancing, or things with captions like “do I look like I kill innocent people to you 🥺”. It also recently came out that the thirst traps posted on that account were made by OF models that the Israeli government hired to don IDF gear and shake their asses at the camera. (To be clear, because I know someone will say it, I am all for shaking your ass at the camera. But how fucking dare you hire sex workers to make you look good while you slaughter thousands upon thousands of innocent people??)

They posted a video interview with released captives of Hamas, and they didn’t like how well the women spoke of their captors. Solution? Well, since the women weren’t speaking English, they could purposely mistranslate her words in the captions. The released captives later went out with interpreters to set the record straight, that they were well cared for and even provided with doctors and menstrual hygiene products.

In the wake of people questioning whether Hamas can really even be called a terrorist group, the Israeli defense minister went on live tv to explain how Hamas is definitely a terrorist organization, because they just recently and conveniently found Al Queda reading material on the bodies of slain Hamas fighters. He then proceeded to hold up said reading material, which were a few single laminated sheets with “Al Queda” written really big on the front, and some vaguely threatening buzzwords about using poison on civilians scrawled underneath in English. I would ask if you really think secretive terrorist organizations walk around with whole, individual, laminated printer sheets full of exactly which weapons they want to use, with a well known terrorist organization’s name prominently displayed on the front. In a language most of them don’t even speak.

Israel also began spreading rumors very recently that Hamas has obtained a formula for a new kind of chemical weaponry, though they couldn’t verify these claims at all. Literal days later (yesterday), survivors of the most violent Israeli bombing so far walked out of the smoke with skin melting off their fucking bodies. The doctors don’t know what it is, haven’t seen it before, and can’t treat it.

Everything Israel does, all their propaganda and misdirection, is so obvious if you give it more than a passing glance. It’s pathetic. It’s also extremely indicative of their projection.

“Hamas beheads babies and rapes captives!” (Israel blew the heads off of many babies with their bombs and has soldiers on record bragging about the sexual assaults they inflicted on random prisoners and regular civilians.)

“Hamas keeps kids in cages!” (There are well documented records of the prisoners Israel keeps, yes, in literal cages. Including hundreds of children.)

“Hamas stopped their own people from leaving the strike zone!” (Witnesses at the Oct 7th massacre have stated that IDF operatives shot their own people, in their best guess to keep them from being taken hostage, although they don’t actually know why.)

There are so many more examples but I am way too angry to type them all out right now. What I am trying to say is, don’t believe a fucking word the Israeli government says. And, considering Joe Biden went on record saying he saw with his own eyes the photos of those forty beheaded babies, and then had to walk back his claims on live tv and admit he hadn’t actually seen anything, don’t believe a word he says either.

I find the fact that the confrontation at the end of UTRH is often summarized as Jason asking Bruce to kill the Joker for him fascinating.

Because that's not what happened.

Jason holds a gun up to Joker's head, gives Bruce another, and tells him that if Bruce doesn't do something (shoot Jason), he will kill Joker.

Jason doesn't give the gun to Bruce so that he would shoot Joker. He isn't expecting Bruce to pull the trigger on the clown. He's asking Bruce to do nothing. To be inactive. Because that will still be a choice, and despite having done nothing, everybody clearly agrees that Bruce would still, at least in part, be responsible for Joker's death.

...And to me, this moment is a kind of- microcosm, of the rest of Jason's point. Because after being captured and carted off to Arkham, the villain will escape again, and will kill more people. The only way to truly prevent that from happening would be to kill them; Bruce refuses to do so, and I respect his right to choose such a thing for himself, but it is still a choice, and if we agree that Bruce's inaction during the confrontation would leave him at least partly responsible for the Joker's death, then we must also agree that his inaction in permanently preventing the Rogues from killing more people means he is also, partly, responsible for all of those deaths.
