something so fucked up about Chat Noir’s whole deal is that he is in a lot of ways Adrien playing a character. Like Adrien picked up his miraculous and was told he’d be a superhero so he was like “ok, time to act like a superhero!” and he lets himself have fun w it and play up the role and let loose and kind of just allow himself to be silly and goofy and have fun and for once in his life not care about performing Perfection™.

But. But none of the other characters KNOW THAT. So everyone just sees Chat Noir and is like “look at this guy’s ego. He’s so full of himself. Surely it’d be fair to knock him down a few pegs” without being aware of how few pegs he actually HAS. He’s like the “insecure character who overcompensates in ego” trope except he’s really not doing it unironically, he’s just having a fun LARP pretending to have self worth in his off-hours but nobody else is on the same page about it being a game and he refuses to tell them. He just dramatically pouts about it and lets them laugh and pretends like he’s not internalizing it and it is almost 3 am and my brain forced me to write this instead of sleeping I’m gonna take a melatonin

anyway like. sorry, no, transphobia has not skyrocketed under Trump like sorry i have been out the closet for now over ten years and there has been a total bipartisan increase in transphobia. the first trans congresswoman just said she doesn’t care if she’s banned from using the women’s bathrooms (throwing the rest of us under the bus). if you think that the increase of Transphobia is because of the Trump administration youre bonkers & not paying attention. if anything, Trump has only started focusing on anti trans legislation because of how much it a bipartisan issue it has become. outside of the military ban he wasn’t really particularly anti trans the first time, people pointed out as early as 2021 that the dude *pivoted* to anti-trans stuff *after losing*. like he was always transphobic (he’s a politician they literally all are) but it literally was not a part of his platform until it became the hot topic issue ACROSS THE POLITICAL SPECTRUM.

Biden & Harris don’t support trans people & never have. any & all support they have provided to us (which is bordering on none) is just the carrot to get us to vote. we’ve already seen that the Dems are prepared to give us the stick and throw us under the bus regardless of whether they win or lose.

It is not pro-republican to criticise the democrats’ platform & campaign, and if you can’t understand that, you should stay out of grown up conversations about politics.

So, a lot of fans theorize that something happened between First and Khaotung on that Rome trip because afterwards, they’ve seemed a lot more touchy-feely towards each other, but I’m gonna be honest with you…I don’t see it.

I think what’s changed, if anything, is them simply being more willing to be photographed in their natural state and the reason that became so obvious during the Rome fanmeet was that they were on vacation with their closest friends in a country where they’re not famous. They could be themselves without having to worry about fangirls losing their minds.

This is actually a phenomenon I’ve seen across the industry over the past year where it seems like artists—especially queer artists—are allowing the public to see more of their true selves and my personal theory is that this is a response to same-sex marriage being legalized in Thailand.
