This is a sketch for an alternative concept I thought of, since the character designs for "The Baron of Death" and "Maman la Vie" might be problematic.

The “Loa” are replaced with new characters called Baron of the Dead (or simply, The Baron) & Gran Maman.  “The Baron of Death” and “Maman la Vie” are no longer the “Loa”, but demons named Lavi & Lanmò. They resemble The Baron and Gran Maman, because they sold their souls to them. Together, they can be viewed as counterparts to Alastor - his theme being New Orleans Voodoo; theirs being Haitian Vodou.

Call me crazy, but if this “Baron Samedi” / “Papa Gede”-type  character has to get redesigned, I totally think he should just be Haitian Don Corleone!

This is a REALLY bad, rough sketch. But I actually really like this concept. For  now, I am still proceeding with “The Baron of Death” and “Maman la Vie”  as characters, due to time constraints. But I think this objectively  might be the better concept. I sincerely hope I eventually circle back  and revisit this one.

Unfortunately no headcanons over here 😭 but!! I can share some snippets of my playthroughs of the game to make up for my unimaginative ass lmao

I once did a run that was solely focused on the spear's special - I honestly don't think I even had anything on anything else, but if I did I distinctly remember not using any of them

I haaaaate debuffing myself when I don't have to in this game, and it turns out that beating 32 heat is doable without giving yourself pretty much any direct drawback on yourself (save Heightened Security which I don't care much about lol) you just make the enemies a lot tougher in exchange lmao. I dunno how much is "a lot" of playing, but I've gone through a good bit of runs - 241 on one file and 60 on the other. I haven't done enough in the second game to check how often I've used each weapon, but the first file uhhh
