₊˚⊹ ᰔ it-girl school tips ᝰ.ᐟ
a new semester is around the corner for a lot of us, and i’m seeing so many blog posts about study/school tips, and i thought i’d share a few of my own that i’ve began to implement into my own school routine that helped me succeed during the fall semester!
just to preface: i took 2, almost 3, gap years after my first year at a university. i realized i was so burnt out after high school and my mental health wasn’t where i needed it to be, so i took a very much needed break! i started back up in school earlier last year in the spring, and i am flourishing! i’ve reconnected with my love and passion for my education and i’ve eased myself back into a comfortable, but effective, routine that’s helped me succeed!
let’s begin !!
ᝰ.ᐟ find/create a good study environment
having a cozy, comfortable, and nice place to get your studying done will make your sessions so much more enjoyable! you’ll feel more motivated to get work done in a space that you feel good in! so whether it be your own space, your favorite café, or even your school’s library, having a good environment to focus on your schoolwork will increase your productivity and make you feel good about studying!
a darling mutual of mine created this post that has helpful tips on creating your desired study space - @glowettee ♡︎ i also highly recommend her page for other tips related to studying, personal growth, & just becoming that girl!
ᝰ.ᐟ make use of a planner
planners are essential in maintaining organization throughout the semester/school year! whether it’s a digital or physical planner, find one that’s appealing to you! find a planner that suits your aesthetic, or your desired aesthetic, and make good use of it. it’ll help you keep track of what days & times you have a certain class, important due dates, and planning out your homework schedule!
if you have a pretty plain planner, decorate it! use fun or aesthetically pleasing stickers and use fun colored pens & highlighters; just make it super personable to you!
ᝰ.ᐟ organize, organize, organize
make sure any and all paperwork for all of your courses are organized! i personally love using accordion folders because they have tabs that you can label for each class or each week of a class! having some kind of organization method will keep you and your schoolwork in check!
how to maintain organization:
as your semester progresses, it gets pretty easy to let your organization slip through the cracks and turn into a mess.
create an organized binder to store older papers from your courses! this will be useful when midterms or finals come around and you need to look back at old worksheets, handouts, etc. you can have a big binder that’s divided by different tabs dedicated to each class you’re taking or you can get different binders for each class and organize that way!
throw out anything that no longer serves you! amongst all the papers, notes, packets, there’s bound to be things that you will no longer need. toss them out, shred them, just get rid of them! the more papers you have stocked up in folders or binders, the less room you’ll have to keep track of the real important stuff
track each week of the semester! keep that syllabus handy so you can keep track of what’s going on for each week in your classes. when you reach the point of midterms, a long weekend, or even a break (like spring break) find some time to look at the past weeks & the weeks ahead and reorganize and just reset your organization of papers, notes, etc.
ᝰ.ᐟ create a checklist for your assignments
as your classes pile up, so will your homework, and it starts to get overwhelming when you start thinking about everything you have to complete for the week. creating a checklist for what needs to get done will allow you to prioritize the most important assignments, help you practice time management, and also feel satisfaction as you check off each assignment!
this helped me immensely throughout the semester. majority of my classes were 8 week courses, so everything was pretty fast paced and due dates came up a lot sooner than i thought. whenever i made a checklist for everything i needed to do, it eased a lot of my stress because i allowed myself to break down each class and the corresponding assignments & it made me realize that i didn’t have too much to do (or at least i tricked my brain into thinking that)
i made my checklist literally through my notes app on my phone, and it was so satisfying to add the little green checkmark emoji after each assignment!
ᝰ.ᐟ don’t be afraid to ask questions
any time i struggled in a class and i was too afraid/embarrassed to ask a question, i ended up doing poorly in that class and it made studying and completing assignments so much more challenging for me. so don’t be afraid to ask questions! your teachers/professors/instructors are there to help you! they’re there to answer any and all questions you might have! asking questions also just helps you understand the material better and get any clarification you might need!
the more questions you ask, the better informed you are, and the more likely you’ll succeed!
ᝰ.ᐟ use school supplies you love
having those aesthetically pleasing school supplies actually gave me so much more motivation to get work done! using stuff that you’re excited to use during your semester will make doing schoolwork & studying so much more enjoyable for you!
ᝰ.ᐟ set the mood for your study sessions
listen to a good study playlist, light a candle, set up some cozy lighting, grab your favorite drink, and just set a good, calming mood for yourself while you study! i love having lofi play softly in the background while i’m studying, and since i do most of my studying at home, i make the lighting in my room nice and dim and get my desk lamp set up. i’ll also have a cup of coffee, tea, or water near by that i can sip on!
ᝰ.ᐟ take breaks
burn-out is extremely real and you’ll quickly feel it when you spend majority of your time studying and giving yourself way less time to rest and relax.
for longer study sessions, take 20 min. breaks after each hour! i remember taking an english course when i first started college and one of the books we were required to read was one on studying tips! (i really wish i remembered what it was called, i unfortunately misplaced it) one of the things i remembered from that book was the 20 minute rule. this time slot allows you an ample amount of time to rest your mind and take a break! you can rest your eyes, scroll through your phone, stand up/stretch and grab a snack, or just step away from your study area for 20 minutes!
set a timer! let’s say you wanna work on homework for an hour & a half, set a timer and just do all the work that you can within that time. once your timer goes off, stop doing what you’re doing and set another timer with the same amount of time to go do something you enjoy or get yourself to relax!
i can’t stress this enough: please take breaks. your mental/emotional well-being should always be your top priority! you can’t do your best in school if you, yourself, are not doing the best.
𝜗𝜚 final notes 𝜗𝜚
being that girl in school is only possible when you put your best foot forward. stay on top of your self care, keep yourself organized, and come up with a routine! a good routine will get you great results!
i wish you all a great start of your upcoming semester and i know that every single one of you will flourish during it too!
live and love, babe.
sincerely, juno ⭑.ᐟ

🪗 WIBTA if I put a pronoun sticker (that isn't accurate for me) on my accordion case? 🪗
I always use she/her when I talk about my accordion; I prefer that other people do the same (though obviously this isn't something I enforce). I think it would be fun if I put a she/her sticker on her case. Which seems pretty harmless but also people might think that the sticker meant MY pronouns were she/her, since it's more common for people to use pronoun stickers for themselves than for inanimate objects. My pronouns are not she/her.
In my mind it would be very funny to be like "oh, no, sorry, those are my accordion's pronouns, not mine!" if anyone got confused. I might be the AH for thinking that setting people up to fail just so I can correct them is 'funny,' but also, it's not like it would be just a prank. Those are actually my accordion's pronouns. (If it makes any difference, she/her is the pronoun set most people assume for me anyways.)
What are these acronyms?

Convention Guide: Basic Tabling Gear
September 2023
Whether you’re an artist alley newbie or you’ve been doing the convention circuit for years, putting together your table essentials is a crucial part of selling your wares at events and ensuring your weekend goes smoothly. In this guide, we’re covering the basics of setting up your first ever table.
This list is a non comprehensive assessment of things a tabler might need and should be used as a simple starting point. The four main categories we will cover are:
The Display
Behind the Table
Money
Quality of Life Suggestions
—🐝—
1. The Display
a) Tablecloth
Starting from the base layer, we’ve got tablecloths– an easy way to add some color and personality to your table. Your tablecloth doesn’t even have to be an actual tablecloth! You can use a length of fabric cut from a bolt at your local craft store. Convention tables tend to be 6’ long, so when selecting your fabric, look for measurements longer than 72” (183cm).
Play with color and texture to find something that fits the theme of your work on display. Patterns can be fun, but might distract from your inventory or signage if the colors/design are too bold and busy. Tip: your cloth may get messy from food behind the scenes or dust/dirt if you do outdoor events. Get something that’s easy to wash in your machine!
b) Display supports
Most artists these days use cube organizers that break apart into flat panels and connector joints. They are easy to store when not in use, easy to transport in a suitcase or tote, and you can change the shape depending on your table set up and inventory. Tip: constructing your display to include shelves that face you behind the table helps organize your backstock during the show.
These cubes aren’t your only option. Some people use milk crates, picture frames, wooden boxes, custom built shelves, etc. Consider what works best for you, your aesthetic, and your storage/transportation needs. When in doubt, you can always lay your goods flat on the table.
c) Signage
Having clear signage on your items to denote price helps people feel more comfortable purchasing from your table. Your price markers don’t have to be fancy. Prices written neatly on pieces of paper and paperclipped to your books or taped up next to your stickers is a simple and effective strategy. Some people print out a price list or use a sign board. It’s totally up to you!
Include a sign with your name somewhere in your display, including your social media handle if it is different from your artist name. This will help fans of your work more easily recognize you. Tip: use a QR code prominently displayed on your table that links to your portfolio, linktree, etc.
d) Banner/backdrop
Look out behind you! Whether it’s a banner, a backdrop, or something else, the space behind your seat can be put to use. While it is relatively easy to print custom banners at most print shops, many tablers cite this as an unnecessary expense, especially for first time artist alley participants. If you’d like to hang a collage of your work behind you, look for photography backdrop tripods, which can collapse and fold up neatly. The behind-the-table space is shared with other artists, and it can get cramped. Be mindful of your needs when deciding how to do a backdrop. Some artists opt to exclude a backdrop and just use their cubes to arch over them.
Optional: Decorate your table! Flowers, string lights, plushies, etc. can all bring a special one of a kind experience to your set up.
2. Behind The Table
a) Inventory
Now that we’re behind the table, let’s talk about what’s going on back here. Starting with inventory. If you’re absolutely unsure how much to bring, a good starting number is about 10 of each item. If you sell out, congratulations! You’ll know what to bring more of next time, or you’ll know you should raise your prices. For storing inventory during transportation to the con and while at the show, you might consider simple boxes, an accordion folder, or a portfolio case, depending on what kind of items you’re bringing. Reminder: if you’re using display cubes, structuring them to give you shelves on your side of the table will help you keep things organized.
b) Suitcase/storage tote
Under your feet will be your suitcase/tote box, and perhaps a dolly, if you used one to wheel your boxes into the building. It is recommended that your suitcase/tote has a lock on it, as you’ll be leaving inventory overnight. Hopefully no matter what you use, it has wheels of some kind. All this gear gets heavy. If you are not using a wheeled device, make sure to check your pack’s weight as you assemble your supplies. You will have to carry it from the parking garage or bus stop through the convention center, and back out again at the end of the show.
c) Cover cloth
What else is in that box? Your cover cloth. This one is optional, but some artists like having a lightweight cloth to cover their table when the day is done. Something like a vinyl picnic tablecloth works perfectly. The cover cloth helps prevent anyone from accidentally knocking your things over or having things go missing.
d) Business cards
On your side of the table, you ought to have plenty of back up business cards. You’ll have some of these out on the table for passersby to pick up, but this item is the number one thing you’re going to hand out the most of. It’s always better to have too many rather than too few. For a single three day convention, you might need 200+ cards. Make sure your website/online shop is easy to find on your cards. Cute business cards go a long way to making your table memorable long after the con has ended.
Bonus supplies: Here’s a short list of things you might need throughout the weekend to touch up your display. Keep them in a bag and bring them with you every time you table!
Masking and clear tape
Spare paper for impromptu signage
Sharpies and pens
Zip ties
Scissors
3. Money
a) Card reader
The most commonly used card reader is Square, but there are alternatives. Research their fees and prices to determine what fits your needs. You’ll want to get a hold of a card reader and set up your account well in advance of your show. Card readers require wifi/data to work and will only work in your country of business, so take that into consideration when packing for your show. Most convention halls have wifi (sometimes at a cost), but if your show is outdoors you might be relying on data.
b) Cash/change
Cash is king! Make sure to bring enough cash/change for your show. About $25-50 in small bills is usually enough if you’re also accepting card. At the end of the day, consider tucking your big bills away in a secure location in your hotel room. If something were to happen to your bag, you’ll appreciate not having your entire weekend’s earnings in it!
c) Fanny pack
Keeping your cash attached to you at all times is smart. People often use fanny packs or cross body bags to manage their money.
4. Quality of Life
a) Backup battery
Since you may be using your phone to complete transactions, or maybe you’re drawing on your iPad with time to kill, you’ll want to bring a back up battery. Most tables don’t have access to electricity, so having a battery and charging cables is a good idea.
b) Hand sanitizer & masks
One hand sani pump out front and one behind the table. You’ll be handling money, shaking hands with strangers, and touching surfaces that thousands of people have been touching all day. As long as there have been conventions, there have been con plagues. You don’t want to get knocked out with a cold (or worse) so masking is great!
c) Table buddy
If you’re able to, bring a friend to help you table. Cons will often give tablers 2 passes (one for you and one for a friend). They can help you grab coffee or lunch, get change, package a big purchase, cover you for bathroom breaks, etc. Table buddies are truly the unsung heroes of artist alley.
d) No table buddy? No problem.
Check in with con staff and volunteers. Many comic cons will have a green room for artists to take a snack break and decompress, and con staff will help guide you there. Some conventions also enlist volunteers to help sit your table while you’re away. They’ll make sure your table stays in order, direct people to your business cards, and inform curious patrons when to expect you back.
e) Fun stuff!
There will be plenty of downtime. Con hours are long and often slow in the mornings. Bring something to keep you occupied, but not too engrossed, so you can easily pull away to greet customers and fans. Fidget toys, a puzzle book, knitting or crochet project are all great ideas.
f) Get Comfy, Eat Well, Stay Hydrated
Going from your quiet desk to the high octane energy of artist alley can be a shock to the system. Some items to help reduce the fatigue are: noise canceling headphones during downtime and breaks, sunglasses to combat the fluorescent lights and rest your eyes, slippers or comfy shoes for under the table, and layers of clothing. Convention halls can fluctuate temperatures wildly. With lots of AC during the summer, sweaty crowds, and the flow of traffic to your table, you’ll be working up a sweat fulfilling transactions one second then freezing after sitting still for a minute.
Most importantly, have a small cooler with snacks and drinks. You may not get a break, but it’s important to stay hydrated and energized.
—🐝—
The next time you're at a convention, take note of displays that inspire you. #ArtistAlley and #ConTable tags on Instagram or TikTok can connect you with creators sharing their setups. Your table design is an opportunity to be creative and express yourself, while also learning along the way what works for you. Most tables, however, are built up over several convention seasons of trial and error, so while it’s good to take note of others' displays as a source of inspiration, try to keep your first table relatively simple. The more you table, the more you’ll be able to identify your needs for you and your merchandise.
We’ll close out this blog post with one final suggestion. Big, multi-day conventions can be fun, but they can also be expensive. Your tabling supplies and inventory aside, if you’re doing a show away from home, you’ll contend with table fees (often $250-450 USD), hotel, transportation, meals, etc. And not every convention is a good fit for your wares! Small, local events and art festivals are a great, low stakes, relatively cheap (or free) way to start tabling. Check your area for zine fests, queer makers markets, and craft fairs.
Sound off if there’s anything we missed! Good luck on your tabling adventures.

STUPID CUPID, a dynamic force in the music industry, made waves with their latest release, the 10th mini album, TRUE VALENTINE (LET'S TALK LOVE!). this captivating collection of seven tracks, launched in may, showcases the group's unique concept and musical style.
kicking off the excitement was the electrifying pre-release single, MANIAC, which garnered widespread attention and anticipation. a carefully planned four-week promotions kept fans engaged and eager for more, setting the stage for the full unveiling of TRUE VALENTINE.
as the MANIAC promotion drew to a close, STUPID CUPID seamlessly transitioned into the promotions for TRUE VALENTINE, igniting further excitement with teasers that lit up discussions and buzz across various digital platforms.
album analysis & content.
the concept of a true valentine is portrayed through the lens of obsession, the lyrics and overall theme of the album takes on a more intense, possessive, and potentially darker tone. obsession in a romantic context can be complex, often involving a heightened sense of desire, longing, and an intense focus on the object of affection. the notion of a dark cupid and an obsession-themed true valentine introduces a more mysterious and intense perspective on romantic connections. in the shadowy realm of dark cupid, where love takes on a more enigmatic form, the concept of a true valentine becomes a captivating and potentially dangerous affair.

MELTING LOVE ... the cupids express confidence and a bold attitude, daring someone to reject them. there's a playful challenge in the tone, suggesting a desire to enchant and captivate the listeners. the song uses sensory imagery, comparing the speaker to a "pink light," expressing the idea of melting like ice cream and asking for a lighter touch on the lips. these images evoke a sense of warmth, sweetness, and intimacy. the playful and seductive tone, along with the elements of innocence and vulnerability, contribute to a multifaceted portrayal of the cupids' emotions and intentions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ( written by PANDORA & 2MIE, prod. by TOKKI & GLOOMY )
SMART ... the song revolves around determination, ambition, and resilience in the pursuit of success. it celebrates the power of strategic thinking and hard work in overcoming obstacles and achieving one's goals. setbacks are seen as opportunities for growth, and the lyrics emphasize the importance of confidence, optimism, and unwavering determination in the face of challenges. overall, the song encourages listeners to believe in themselves, work hard, and persevere in the pursuit of their dreams. the song seems to be a break between the toxic love being shown through the rest of the songs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ( written by ASTER, prod. by RE:INA & PANDORA )
OUR SECRET ... the song delves into the theme of passionate and intoxicating love, capturing a moment of intense attraction and desire between two individuals. describing a single kiss as a symbol, the lyrics highlight its ability to captivate and mesmerize, leaving the recipient utterly consumed and lost in the experience, as emphasized in the chorus. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ( written by PANDORA & AIMEE, prod. by TOKKI & H.EUI )

era notes.
♡ ⠀⸻⠀ the promotions for this album were the longest the group ever had. MANIAC was promoted for four weeks before the album dropped out while MELTING LOVE for five weeks. SMART originally wasn't going to be promoted on music shows, but because of its popularity, they decided to extend promotions for another two weeks. a special music video was also released a week before the promotions for the title track finished. ♡ ⠀⸻⠀ by the end of the promotions, STUPID CUPID received thirteen awards in total — four during MANIAC, five for MELTING LOVE and four during SMART. ♡ ⠀⸻⠀ the music video for MELTING LOVE received a whopping 80 million views in the first 24 hours! SMART also reached similar numbers after its official release. ♡ ⠀⸻⠀ a lot of fans were thrown back during this era, mainly because the group is known for their cute and artsy music style, so watching the MELTING LOVE music video changed their views drastically. what confused them more was up to the music video release, their teasers have consistently been shown in a softer way. ♡ ⠀⸻⠀ their tiktok was ACTIVE! the girls posted dance challenges non-stop, either with other idols or with their staff! you could not scroll through the fyp without seeing at least three different videos from this era. ♡ ⠀⸻⠀ the group released a lot of content, both on their youtube channel and various other ones. they teased an interview with WIRED, as well as a possible world tour, that may or may not happen soon.

ROUND 2A, MATCH 5 OUT OF 8!
Propaganda Under the Cut:
Jeff:
Every concert and every episode of the show he takes a nap and all the Wiggles and all the kids watching have to wake him up They made a whole album about him being sleepy
From Jeff's official description on the Wigglepedia Wiggle Wiki, "Jeff cannot help falling asleep, and when he dreams he dreams of being asleep." Jeff has such a tendency to fall asleep at inopportune moments that the Wiggles have an entire song called, "Wake Up, Jeff!" (which is also the title of a Wiggles album and a video special). His Wiggle color is purple, which is the best color, and he also plays the accordion!
Iconic Australian children's show character. Every kid in Aus remembers Jeff falling asleep and all the other Wiggles calling "Wake up Jeff!"
PJ Berri:
ok Parappa rules and while PJ isnt my favorite i'll give him some nice words. he's parappa's dedicated friend, though most of the time he's so busy thinking about food that he doesn't notice parappa's problems. he's super sleepy all the time because of his night-time job, being a DJ at Club Fun. when he sleeps he dreams about being the king of PJ Land. in one game he eats a banana and literally kills Lammy (the protagonist) by not paying attention to where he's tossing the peel. despite his usually expressionless face, he's a big silly and there's a LINE sticker pack with multiple stickers of him sleeping. good night, PJ!!! I'm really really bad at long projects so I'm externalising my motivation. Every task gets a tick. Every section gets coloured in on the drawing. When I'm done I get a fully playable accordion. Hopefully.
(Context is I got a neglected and musty but functional second hand accordion for a tenner. I'm hoping it's all doable surface fixes but I haven't opened it yet so I'm a bit nervous about what I'm going to find in there. wish me luck)
Sections complete: 0/8
Playable state: -
Progress log:
05.01.25: metal bits cleaned and polished, left hand strap fully repaired and reattached. Despite multiple attempts the corrosion on the corners of the bellows is resisting any repair. The bastard stickers also won't come off (unsurprising, they are probably older than me) but I don't want to risk any of my usual solutions until I know what the casing can take. Still dreading what I'll find in the bellows.
#the drawing is not entirely accurate its a 32 bass#(not pictured: finding a towel to throw over it so i can play it living in my apartment)#i wish it was a 60 bass but not bad for a tenner at all

RG Goldymarg
Man, this thing just makes me want more units from GaoGaiGar. I've had my eyes on the Brave Gokin versions of Star GaoGaiGar, GaiGo, and GaoFighGar for a while, but still haven't pulled the trigger because of a mix of overall expense, not being in a single location, and Mandarake's shipping being more expensive than other sites. I'd love it if they just did model kit versions of them all since there'd be a lot of shared engineering, but it's been a while since GaoGaiGar and Goldymarg released with no word, so only time will tell if we'll see any other members of GGG.
The Good: Goldymarg is a solid multi-form robot with a very fun build. All the weird accordioning the hammer does, all the added joints for transformation, the little tricks it uses to pull off its on-screen details. Goldymarg has a good range of motion in most of its joints, the MargTank has a neat transformation, and the MargHand is heavy but has a better range of finger posability than GaoGaiGar's included hands. It also includes a left hand if you wanted to build a second one, though it doesn't include the palm piece.
The Bad: There are two major downsides to Goldymarg. The first is the pegs that hold the arms in place as MargTank and MargHand are always extended and get in the way of its shoulders. The second is the legs have so many transformation joints that don't really lock into place, which makes them weird to pose. It doesn't help that the ankles come off for the MargTank, and they fall off sometimes.
The Details: For paint, I just applied panel lining. Its colors are very well distributed and replicated, so there isn't much else to do. I used a few of the stickers, including a few of the GGG stickers, all the reflective stickers (excluding the ones other the eyes, which I just panel lined), and the raised plastic stickers.
Overall, it's a great upgrade for GaoGaiGar, and a decent kit on its own. I don't know why you'd want to own it without GaiGaiGar, but if you do manage to get it first, it's a fun time and a decent kit.

Two Roads
Two Roads is a 26 page accordion book inspired by J Maya’s song Two Roads and Roier’s QSMP lore, with an added fae au. The first of two, each book focuses on queer found family and love.
It is the first of two (maybe three) books centered around the Fooligetta family and Spiderbit. Two Roads follows human Roier losing his son Bobby and becoming a fae through meeting Leo.
Moving forward, I hope to document my journey creating the second book and further exploring my au (tworoadsau) through paintings, stickers, and more.
Let me who you would like to see in this au ✨🌷
