HI HELLO! For the past couple of months me and @childdevourer1 have been losing our minds over and au where Jay became the green ninja instead of Lloyd (we saw that one fun fact about how it was originally gonna be Jay and went fucking feral).

Anyways I made a comic about it. We may write a fic about it one day but for now it's just a lot of strung together ideas.

Elden Ring Accents

Something came over me. I've put together a spreadsheet of all ER characters with voice lines and figured out where each accent is from in the hope it could provide insight on the characters, storytelling and worldbuilding choices that went into the game.

It could also be a good resource for creatives in the community that want to get into the worldbuilding aspect of their stories/art and be more accurate with accents and regions.

I've put a little introduction in to give some info and context, as well as some conclusions I came to while putting it together. There's also a map to help visualise :)

it's cold and it’s almost winter here which means i'm thinking about the 141 boys wrapping up warm while they're on leave back in the uk.

specifically im thinking about how each of them already have statement headwear (except soap), so its easy to imagine what they might swap to; thick beanie for price like we've seen before, ghost probably has a thicker balaclava meant for snowboarding to keep out the chill, and gaz would stay inside in his flat - warm and cosy because why the fuck would he venture out when it's snowing? - his cap firmly still in place on his head, blanket wrapped tight around his shoulders.

soap though? close knit family like his, there's no way he's not been given a handmade hat each year when he visits his gran. and given how naturally johnny mactavish can fall into being a little shit in any given situation, there's not a chance it's not learnt behaviour passed down from generations before, so i think his gran would have fun with her knitting.

which brings me to johnny's hat the year after he shaved in his mohawk:

i think she'll have made the one on the right after he talked a little too fondly about a teammate that kept a skull mask on at all times;

"does he wan' a hat, y'think? it's nae problem, i can make an extra for y'ta take along with ye when you're called off again. still be cold when yer back in a month's time."

"nah, gran, thank ye. the dafty ne'er takes his mask off fer it to be worth yer effort."

"ne'er? he ugly or sum'thin'?"

not to be a canonfucker, but personally I find Imogen singing like this way more endearing. Laura bailey has some pipes on her ofcourse and I respect the EP hussle but, this is it for me

(Just sayin, yknow, the first is an example of a time they needed someone singing and she delivered that, so yeah, could argue nerves but 2 me she's still a little tone deaf and I love that)

(mayhaps it's partly why a musical mind sounded so appealing to her, caus she can't hold her own tune)

like it's a cute EP I'm sure but it's a real earth Christian song with the lyrics changed, you really wanna put that much thought into this being a canon thing? also have musings on how singing is a talent and linked to attractiveness etc but won't bother going into that caus this is really the silliest thing. Just here to be contradictive in my corner as always, old man yells at cloud etc.
