So What Happened?

Lily never thought that Frederick Bellefonte would go through with it... But she was wrong. Founders Festival was a living nightmare and Lily couldn't wake up from it. She locked eyes with her old pack mate when he took the stage, announcing the dawn of a new day, before the screaming commenced.

She fought to keep as many people safe as possible, but she knew that, for now, they were outnumbered. The best thing to do was retreat. With the McReids hiding underground, Lily moved her pack into their house to keep it safe from scavengers. No one would dare take it on, not with Lily around.

It didn't take long for Lily to combine forces with Beth Morales' pack. Beth, Max, Maggie and Harry moved in along with Nora Khaldun and Adam Baxter. From there, Lily starts to open up her heart and home to any wayward werewolf who needs a home-- who needs saved from Frederick's corrupted views.

Lily has dedicated her time during these past few years to fighting the good fight, actively reaching out to any and all werewolves to offer safety, to try and sway them back over to the #good side. Lily has been trying to undo it all, to get us back to the way things were.

She's tried to each out to Frederick, hoping to talk some sense into him. She highly suspects this theatre is not his real plan. She knows that he loved her once-- that he still loves her-- and that those feelings are still there. That he could still be good.

Lily works very closely with the McReids, with the underground Resistance and her fellow Originals (Willow Evermore, Charvi Chandrasekar). When the plan on November 2016 came around, Lily agreed to play her part. She managed to distract Frederick, for a while, but it didn't stick. And at the end of it, things all went terribly wrong.

It's hard to keep hope alive, but Lily is trying. She is still doing everything she can to help and she truly believes that they can still win this fight.

Last song: let's go with current earworm - Keddakari from the Raavanan ost. Such a compelling beat. It's in a playlist I made with extremely danceable Indian songs and we've been listening to that a lot lately.

Currently watching: I watched a very ancient Murder on the Orient Express last night - from 1974. I was so tired I fell asleep during the denouement. Still better than Kenneth Branagh. Fight me.

Currently consuming: Breakfast was challah bread with butter and banana jam and Indian instant coffee that was actually mostly cocoa. Banana jam = love. I'm trying to eat my way to feeling better.

Three ships: I am currently obsessed with The Locked Tomb, so Gideon/Harrowh of course. And everything involving Pyrrha. And Lucy/Lockwood from Lockwood & Co. Jay just finished the books, so I'm thinking about them again. I am really a very predictable shipper.

Favorite color: Got to be blues and greens, since that's what most of my pottery is. I know that's a wide range but I'm bad at picking favs

First ship: I don't know. Probably some Malayalam movie? Or Enid Blyton, lol. I have always shipped. It's the primary thing I get out of media.

Relationship status: Married. Just got to 10 years, which makes me feel old. In a good way. Mostly.

Family Planning

Shira- She's already a mom, with a son and daughter, and has done pretty well. They come to the gym sometimes, where James tries to teach them bad habits. Owning the gym does take up a lot of time, but it offers her a little flexibility for spending time with her kids, too.

Lily- She doesn't have a lot of experience and would probably want to panic a little if she had to take care of a young child, but she could do it. She'd be more comfortable with a kid a few years old.

What type of haunted house would you character be?

It’s a beautiful house—it’s looked different to every lost and weary soul that’s stumbled upon it. A car run out of gas, a road trip hopelessly turned around, a night spent on the street with nowhere else to go… open your weary eyes and it’s there.

The house is warm, and it adjusts its décor to the occupant’s taste. You have a bed to sleep in. You have running water to brush your teeth and shower. You have a working fridge full of your favorite foods. There are blooming rose bushes flanking every door and window, the scent strong enough to seep through the walls.

(There are voices in the kitchen as you pad down the stairs that vanish when you get too close. A little girl’s laughter and running footsteps in the halls. A bird, too, though you can never find the source of its chirps. There are doors that are closed, even to you. As your recovery progresses, you start to think maybe there was a family that lived here, before you. What happened to them?)

Eventually, as is its wont, time heals all wounds. Eventually you rest and you are recovered enough to return to the outside world. But the front door is locked. The windows no longer look to the outside—instead they are covered up, the glass choked by green and scratched from long black thorns. You try to find the back exit, or the side door, but the halls stretch on too long. The doors jam and the turns get you lost. You go back to the kitchen and find the beautiful dining table rotted and collapsed, the floors thick with dust, the warm atmosphere now cold and silent. Still, it doesn’t stop you from finding something heavy so you can break down the attic door.

It takes you hours—days—years to find the attic door. Every room you’ve broken into has been full of furniture draped in sheets, of dust, of decay. You found a child’s bedroom, a lone worn teddy abandoned on the floor, and as you ran out you heard the family mother singing a lullaby.

When you do find the attic door, stumbling up to the window, you find the roses have grown over this exit, too, and the blooms are dead but the thorns are black and everywhere. Still—you’d found an axe, somewhere. This house was never wont to deny her guests what they needed.

The thorns shred your skin, but you cut a path. And as you start to climb out, you glance behind you—and a woman stands there, dark eyes alight with something malevolent. Her face twists. She opens her mouth and no words come out but you hear it, nonetheless:

Because I really like flowers, coincidentally it’s also my birthday season. 🌷 All my wallpapers and icons usually have some flower aspect to it 🌹 I am a homebody but if I choose to leave the house, it’s usually to go sit in the gardens and relax.

Sadie: Sometimes, especially around holidays. She usually gets back there a few times a year.

Lily: She only lives a few miles away and sees her parents at least once a week, usually on Sundays at least. They often go to church together.
