Of all the demons Silver had seen in hell, none of them seemed as radiant and beautiful as the creature walking on the sidewalk towards her. The Nephilim had been out on a walk around the city, clearing her head from the racket of her neighbors. On Sinday they were extra fucked up and frisky, either shaking the walls with their lustful desires or screaming and fighting amongst themselves.

She had never seen a peryton demon before, but her people had mentioned them before. A brush over touch of history, nothing in-depth. Never time to settle in long enough when you’re perpetually on the run from Heaven. Something else about the peryton drew her attention. Similar to how Cain had. No way…was this another Nephil?

"I grew up a Nintendo girl, and I'll always have a soft spot for some of their games, but I play more 'mature' games some these days. I've got into some horror games like Resident Evil. People like to watch to see if I'll scream on stream, I think."

"Pacman, like everyone else. Resident Evil, Quake, Doom. I played Alone In The Dark and Dino Crisis a lot, and our parents tried to convince me and my brother there were less violent games out there, but that didn't help much."

Lily probably shouldn't have told her dad she could move these boxes on her own. She was a petite woman, and despite being relatively light, the stack of boxes was so tall it was hard to handle and nearly blocked her view.

She had to count the numbers on the doors as she walked past. She had 3 more doors to go when she heard a man's voice. Lily turned to the side so she could better see the man in front of her. He looked a bit older than her. He was definitely better suited to carry some of the boxes.

"Um..." She almost said "no," not wanting to get someone she didn't know involved, but she really did need the help. It occurred to her she'd have to put the boxes down to unlock her door. "Sure, yes, please" she said. "If you can take the top few off so I can see and handle my keys that'd be great. Just a bit farther down on the left."

Tristan closed the front door to his condo, in the process of locking it with one hand while holding his phone up to his ear with the other, “Peter, just don’t let Alexis burn the house down before I get there. ...And have the pizza place on standby, just in case. I’m on my way.” He hung up the phone, sliding it and his keys into the pockets of his jacket as he turned to see a woman - well, half of a woman. Because she was hauling so many boxes at once that he couldn’t see her face at all, and he offered, “Do you need help - can I carry some of those for you?”

Video Game Starters

Lily was in control of the game, a first-person horror game. Lily sat on the couch, her legs crossed in front of her, focused intently on the screen, Glitch to her right. They agreed to hand control off to each other every 15 minutes or if one of them died, whichever came first, and Lily still had 6 minutes of control.

Lily was running from the "father" of the house on the game, who was after her. She rounded a corner which looked clear.

"I think we're..." Lily started to say, when he came slamming through the wall on screen in front of them. Lily shrieked and jumped a few inches, barely regaining control in time to not get killed, and noticed Glitch had jumped as well.

"I think my heart rate just went up 50%" she laughed as she continued running in game.

Sirius: So how did you guys get together?

Barty: He was watching me, like a stalker.

Evan: Everyday, for a straight month.

Barty: Gay month you mean?

Remus: …

Sirius: Anyways.. what I mean is, what happened that made you think, ‘oh I want him as my boyfriend’ ?

Barty: He was stalking me and I thought it was hot.

Lily didn't know any Russian but guessed the words weren't G-rated. It didn't help Lily keep her focus, and she took a hit, but managed to get away.

"No! We don't have any guns. Not right now" Lily said. He was agonizingly slow. Lily wasn't very fast and she could have run circles around him. "I lost the pistol from earlier."

She finally made it around him and got to a safer part of the house. She had about two minutes of time left.

"Heart rate back to normal. Okay, I'll find another save room and hand the controller off to you."

"Блядь! Дерьмо! Моча!"

A string of curse words & other expletives rushed from her lips as Glitch nearly jumped a full foot off of the couch. She had been leaning in close during Lily's turn with the game, muttering something about the filthy environment the protagonist found himself in & how there wasn't enough suspension in video game logic that'd have her believe he wouldn't have caught an infection from his recently attached hand. Her heart was still pounding when she finally righted herself, pulling her legs up to her chest, chin resting against her knees.

"Ага, no kidding," She huffed. "I just about died." This was way more thrilling than she thought it'd be. "Спешка, get to the safe room. We have guns, right? To blast his ass?"
