Fourth (Third is here):
last but not the least
I've been reading bsd writers' works
I strongly recommend you do the same, they're absolutely magnificent
Sometimes you can even see obvious references
Like this one
I was reading Doppo's River Mist and other stories
I think Dead Apple is mostly inspired by it
Tumblr media
one of the stories is named The Stars
it's about two stars in the sky who are in love, and come down to earth to talk in the garden of an author, in form of humans
Look at this part
Tumblr media
sounding familiar?
No?
Tumblr media
Ability Users are Fallen Angels,
Abilities themselves are Fallen Stars
It's even true scientifically
Remember the 'Singularity' mentioned?
Tumblr media
Astronomically, a singularity can be formed by two gigantic celestial bodies (such as stars) crashing into eachother, resulting in the corruption of matter, forming something with infinite mass and zero volume, which we call "singularity" (yeah my study field's math/physics lol)
Tumblr media
that's what was done in Dead Apple
Combining two stars
I love Kafka

Listen. Ranpo wasn't born with an advantage. Ranpo's ability to understand cases rationale seems like an advantage, but actually it is not, because Ranpo is trying to hold on among the talented people with his brain, and he is fighting with people who have a gift in their hands. What happened like someone fighting against superior intelligence with their own analysis. A working person who makes the move with their ability to analyze against someone blessed with talent. Ranpo seems to have an advantage, but actually he also has disadvantages because there would be no world he can live if his learned talent gone. That's why I so want to see Ranpo and Fyodor talk. Imagine, there are people gifted with ability, Fyodor see this as unfair, a sint and argues with Ranpo, who isn't actually gifted but has a talent.

Have you ever seen Scott Sterling Best Volleyball Blocks Ever? I think the ADA should make use of Dazai even when he's incapacitated.

Hey Ambulatory Wheelchair users, please don't feel ashamed if you can do things like loading and unloading your own wheelchair from your car and stuff like that. It's those small skills that mean a world of difference in freedom and they're great skills to have. Pedestrians might not get it, but other wheelchair users (me) are jealous, it's impressive not shameful!

Just had an idea for a Danny phantom au that potentially gets very dark.
Danny goes down to investigate the portal alone.
Danny dies in the portal.
Like, fully dead.
Maddie hears his screams from upstairs, and runs to investigate.
She finds her son's corpse lying in front of a swirling green portal.
The portal needed a sacrifice to open.
The portal is open.

idk if anyone else has gotten the beta for the new communities feature but these features in particular are a little bit concerning to me. i haven't tested this, but it looks to be an entirely separate comment section that's hidden from the post's op if they're not in the community, meaning you're removing a creator's ability to moderate the comment section surrounding their work. this is especially concerning for me as a creator who produces content related to transness and gender identity--moderating my comments is often a constant daily struggle to keep bigots from having their way with my posts, and this seems like it has the potential to remove or at least significantly impair my ability to moderate who engages with my content and how. Also, on a site that's had major problems with transphobic and racist harassment in the past, i can see this very quickly devolving into a way to dogpile on certain users or even organize the kind of harassment campaigns we KNOW certain people on this site are prone to engage in with no way for any outsiders to even WITNESS what's going down. At the very least i think the op of a post reblogged into a community needs to have access to the community comments (which may already be a feature--like i said i haven't tested it yet but this explanation reads to me like they don't) but on a larger scale i think the devs for this site NEED to think about the potential for misuse when putting out new features like this because this just looks like a nightmare waiting to happen to me

there's tons of unrealized potential in tactile telekinesis as an ability. when applied creatively it can be one of the most... quiet ways, i suppose, that kon can showcase his intelligence and the magnitude of his powers that separates him from the other kryptonians. touch is not a limitation; it's an advantage, and a very useful feature! his ttk is an extension of himself and his senses—while he is in the catacombs with tim, a simple touch and a few seconds is enough for him to open the lock to a secure lab space.
while other kryptonians have x-ray vision, kon also has the unique advantage of using his ttk as a way to "see" and enable what he's demonstrated to be very precise object manipulation. how far can we extrapolate this? if ttk's capabilities are limited only by focus and creativity, what can he do? pick locks, sure. whether something is encased in lead stops mattering, too. we can get more detailed. if he can change how much particles move or vibrate, he can change their temperature.
does kon even need to throw a punch, or would his opponents' knees lock if kon so much as rests his pinkie on them, a single touchpoint giving him complete access to their muscles, their lungs, the blood running through their bodies?
we can go smaller. can he follow a clot or even a single blood cell as it travels down an artery, and make it do what he wants? if he wrapped his ttk around a single atom... could he break that apart?
we can go bigger, too. if his feet are touching the ground, the ground touches... everything else. other cities. the forests. the ocean. it's all an extension of him, if he wills it.

Poe + Lovecraft fusion!!
I like playing with the idea of fusing characters and these two combined would be a force to be reckoned with. They’re mostly just really eepy
Eldritch God + Man who’s ability is essentially creating a fictional reality = a horrifying combination
They wouldn’t enjoy being a singular entity, however. I don’t think Lovecraft would like feeling the intense human emotion Poe always feels and I don’t think Poe would like being a literal eldritch horror.
This light show itself as them being very one track minded, there’s one or two emotions that they feel very intensely
Tumblr media
And also I picture them maybe being able to manipulate ink like this, like they begin to start fighting and you see the ink drip off the book
There’s words but they’re in a language so old and dead it is only spoken by the gods

I've always wondered how bsd characters came to know the names of their abilities. Like, did they name their abilities themselves? Is it like a birthright where when they first tapped into their abilities, the government or some sort of agency had to be notified and someone else officially named their abilities based on what they did?
BSD is in its own little pocket dimension that simultaneously reflects the real world and doesn't at the same time, so it'd be funny if like Natsume or Oda—since they were writers—got into a battle with someone like Chuuya or Akutagawa who tell the enemy the name of their ability and what it does, and they're like oh yeah, I've heard of that novel/piece of literature!
Just really breaking the fourth wall.
But also, if we wanna go down the route of characters naming their abilities themselves, there are some pretty good cases to be made:
Dazai doesn't like his ability and thinks it's a curse more than anything
Chuuya struggles with feeling human enough and belonging and might feel "tainted" as a result while harboring a deep sorrow
Fyodor's ability activates from the crime of murder being committed and him punishing them as a result
Then you have Fitzgerald who's full of himself and naming his ability after himself
And Natsume who is just I Am a Cat 🐈

Once more thinkin about this Prompt/AU
And I decided to sketch the level 1 forms the team (& Ellie) have along with sketches of their lvl 200+ Forms. I do believe Klarion is having a blast with his new friends and the Young Justice Team is going to have some Trauma from not knowing this is a Game.
Tumblr media
Tucker: Lvl 1 Cat | Sam: Lvl 1 Sprout | Valerie: Lvl 1 Golem | Danny: Lvl 2 Dragon Egg | Ellie: Lvl 1 Celestial Snakelett

(Click for higher quality) Also they are all now Mountain Sized or Larger. Also pondering them all having 3 stages to their bossfights. Second stages is when they start using more magic & less "minions" and final stage is when shit hits the fan & the surroundings get Wrecked. Like Tucker summoning a literal storm & getting lightning charged, or Sam fully emerging from the caves, or Valerie unearthing herself and the team realizing the entire dungeon-city was On Her Back.
@victoria-has-no-secret @qitsin Both y'all reblogged with fun ideas so here @bleuyellow93-storytime you had very VERY fun tags so also here lol [If u don't want to be tagged I apologize] Aaand finally, @radiance1 I think you'd like these

Mori is not a child predator nor is he an intentional abuser; narratively, he's the representation of the way Ability users are dehumanized and the justification behind it. He prioritizes the 'optimal solution'; that means that Ability users, capable of so much more than the average person, must be pushed to their brink for the good of everyone else. Mori was not lying when he told Yosano that, ordinarily, he would never be able to resist the request of a little girl; as seen in Beast, he does seem to genuinely care for children specifically. The issue, however, is that he did not see Yosano as a child due to her Ability; she could not be a person, but an instrument of a greater good. This is the same way he treats Dazai, Chuuya, and arguably himself; as Ability users they must be organs of a greater good instead of people, not afforded the same right to childhood and protection or desires.
