Just had an idea for a Danny phantom au that potentially gets very dark.
Danny goes down to investigate the portal alone.
Danny dies in the portal.
Like, fully dead.
Maddie hears his screams from upstairs, and runs to investigate.
She finds her son's corpse lying in front of a swirling green portal.
The portal needed a sacrifice to open.
The portal is open.
#it is very important to me that this is a maddie-centric au#full ghost au#or just dead au#you decide#dpxdc#but in a way that they dont really interact#they just exist together#in this Maddie's family is a long line of magic users whose abilities weakened overtime#maddie doesnt have abilities or barely has abilities#but she was still taught about exorcist stuff or something#idk im bad with words#maddie fenton#dark danny phantom au#but not Dan dark#danny phantom#portal's sacrifice au#thats what im calling this

Okay, but Anonymous PenPals DeadSerious.
Maybe the school/Dick/Alfred maybe idk?? Makes Damian participate in an Anonymous PenPal program.
He gets matched with Danny.
Even after the program is over, they continue to write to each other.
Years pass, and Damian receives another letter sent to his fake name.
From Jazzmine Fenton.
The letter informs him of his PenPals (and crushes) unfortunate death after an accident at home. It invites him to attend the funeral.
He didn't expect to visit the grave that night after the funeral to see a white-haired figure floating above his friends grave.

God Only Knows
Everyone knows AU, but Wes doesn't know that everyone knows, and neither does Danny, because even though everyone knows, everyone also knows better than to acknowledge it.
For the prompts:
Everyone knows the connection between Danny Fenton and Phantom. To keep their town's hero safe, everyone pretends to be oblivious. Only this one kid doesn't seem to have gotten the memo. [From @vigilant-insomniac], and It's like Santa, the students of Casper High think. You know he's fake, just your parents playing pretend, and if Danny wants to play human, well. Who are they to ruin the fantasy? [From @uniasus]
This is a take on Wes I've never written before, despite having written quite a few Wes fics, and it was a lot of fun, I hope you like it : )

[Warnings for mentioned injuries, threats, and implied bullying]
Danny Fenton was dead. Everyone knew that.
After an accident in his parents' lab, he'd been rushed to the hospital and declared dead on arrival. He had an obituary in the paper, a grave. His death had even been announced over Casper High's PA system, and there had been a moment of silence, and all the science classes had done lessons on lab safety so that what had happened to him might not happen to anyone else.
Then, a couple weeks later, Danny Fenton was back at school like nothing had happened. Hanging out with his loser friends, going to classes, eating at Nasty Burger. Like he was still a regular kid. Except that beakers slipped through his fingers, and he kept walking through vending machines, and falling through the floor. Sometimes all or part of him would turn invisible, or he'd start floating a few inches off the floor and his friends had to pull him back down to earth.
Every time, he would look around in a panic, like he was hoping no one saw, and every time, those who had seen pretended they hadn't. It was Santa Claus, the Casper students reasoned. You knew he was fake, just your parents playing pretend, but it made them happy when you pretended with them. If Danny wanted to play human, well... who were they to ruin the fantasy.
Besides, no one wanted to be the one to remind him that he'd died.
Then the school was attacked by a ghost, and another ghost appeared to stop her. It was the ghost of a 14-year-old boy, wearing a Fenton Works jumpsuit. There was no mistaking that Danny Fenton, the dead kid attending their school, was also the dead kid protecting it.
But after a couple of days, it was clear that Danny himself still thought it was a secret, so everyone else silently agreed to let him keep thinking that. He'd been through a lot, and they didn't need to make it harder on him. Even Dash never brought it up—and he kept bullying Danny, for being week and unpopular, just to keep up the illusion that nothing had changed.
When out-of-towners started poking around, asking questions, everyone kept the secret. The strangers were clearly ill-intentioned, wanting to capture Danny for some reward. Even if he was deluding himself about still being alive, Danny was a good kid who protected the town. The least the locals could do as thanks was act oblivious to keep him safe. They were used to pretending, anyway.
Except this one kid didn't seem to have gotten the memo.
"Uh, yeah, I have some information on the ghost!" Wes called out to the Guys in White nosing around their school.
Kwan grabbed him, covering his mouth and dragging him around the corner before the Guys in White could see who'd called out to them. He felt something slimy on the palm of his hand and let go of Wes with a noise of disgust.
"What the hell!" Wes demanded.
"Did you just lick me?" Kwan asked, wiping his hand off on his jeans. "Gross!"
"Dude, you dragged me down the hallway! What gives."
"You were gonna spill to the Guys in White. You can't do that!"
"Just 'cause no one around here believes me, I'm just supposed to give up?" Wes frowned, crossing his skinny, freckled arms over his chest. "Somebody has to know that Danny Fenton is Danny Phantom, I mean come on, it's obvious!"
"But if you tell the Guys in White, even if they don't believe you, they'll investigate him, and who knows what they'll do," Kwan pointed out. "Hasn't Danny been through enough? I mean," Kwan glanced around and lowered his voice before adding, "he died. Do you really want to make things harder on him after that? Don't you think he deserves a break?"
"Exactly," Wes hissed. "He died. He's a ghost. Ghosts are bad—and why are we whispering?" he added at a normal volume.
"You know that's not true," Kwan argued, keeping his voice low, despite Wes' complaint. "Phantom protects us."
"From ghosts that come through a portal he opened!"
Kwan flinched. Saying Danny had opened the portal was kind of misrepresenting the reality of the situation. Sam and Tucker had reluctantly told the story of Danny's death in the weeks he was gone, and it had been spread around pretty thoroughly before he came back. Everyone at school knew that he'd stepped into that portal and been completely fried. The portal turning on wasn't the part most people focused on when it was always immediately followed by 'while Danny was inside it'.
"I don't think you can blame him for that," Kwan said. "It was an accident."
"One that has yet to be corrected," Wes replied, his anger not fading. "Him fighting the ghosts doesn't stop them from attacking. If he really wanted to protect the town, he'd destroy the portal and stay in the Ghost Zone."
"What about the Fentons?"
"Who cares if the Fentons lose their precious portal when it's endangering thousands of lives!?"
"And you don't care if they lose their son, either?" Kwan demanded.
"So you do believe me!"
"You're a dick, Weston." He'd never called anyone a dick before in his life, but it seemed to apply here. "I don't care what you think, but if you try to hawk your theories on any of the ghost hunters around town, I'll make you regret it, and I'll bring friends, too. I've got a lot of them."
To drive home his point, Kwan shoved Wes against the lockers and glared before walking away. Gosh, that was so aggressive. Kwan hoped it had been okay. He didn't like doing it—he didn't even know if his face could hold that expression long enough to intimidate anyone—but if it kept Danny safe, that was what mattered.
At least Dash would probably be proud of him for it. Dash was always saying he needed to be more assertive to people couldn't push him around. Metaphorically, of course. Literally, Kwan was six feet tall and 190 pounds, even as a freshman, so there weren't many people who could physically push him around as it was. He didn't join the football team for no reason.
Thankfully, it did seem to work. Kwan had his friends—and he did indeed have a lot of friends, since he was a very friendly and likable guy—keep an eye on Wes until the outside ghost hunters declared the hunt a bust and skipped town. He didn't know whether Wes had noticed or not, but either way, he hadn't tried to expose Danny to them again.
Too bad that didn't last. A few weeks later, Wes went directly to the Fentons.
"No one else will believe me, but your son is a ghost!" Wes told them. "He's Danny Phantom!"
Jack and Maddie both froze. They knew.
They knew, and they had both agreed to pretend they didn't. They shot at Phantom, always aiming a mile wide, and shouted threats, and loudly declared their hatred for ghosts. They knew how it made Danny feel, but they also knew he still loved them. They were willing to do whatever it took to keep their son around, and they feared that if he were ever to tell them he was a ghost, it would be because he was moving on and they'd never see him again.
"Why... that's ridiculous, my boy!" Jack declared, a slight waver in his booming voice. "Our son can't be a ghost!"
"But it's true!" Wes insisted.
"Don't be silly!" Maddie cut him off before he could start listing evidence. She knew all the evidence. "I think we'd know if there was a ghost living under our own roof."
"But—"
"You should keep your utterly ridiculous theories to yourself, because you sound absurd," Maddie said. "Now, if you don't mind, my husband and I have very important ghost hunting to get to. Don't you have homework to do or something?"
Wes growled and clenched his fists in frustration but left them alone nonetheless. Clearly, he wasn't getting anywhere with him. And he wasn't getting anywhere at school, to the point where Danny had stopped getting anxious and had started openly antagonizing him about it. Didn't anyone else in Amity Park have eyes, he wondered.
But in truth, he was the one not seeing, because he didn't see that everyone else was on the same page about Danny being a ghost, and he was the one being left behind.
"Hey, Wes-toenail!"
Wes rolled his eyes as Dash stormed up to him with a disappointed-looking Kwan in tow.
"Jazz Fenton told Sam Manson, who told Kwan, who told me, that you tried to tell Fenton's parents about your stupid conspiracy theory!" Dash sneered at him.
"It's not a conspiracy theory," Wes said. "There would have to be more than just one person involved for it to be a conspiracy theory. A conspiracy theory would be like if I claimed everyone in town was working together to hide the fact that Fenton is Phantom," he was too busy rolling his eyes again to notice the look Kwan and Dash gave each other, "but you're not, you're all just a bunch of sheep."
"And you're a... a..." Dash struggled, grasping around his thick head for a comeback.
"A blackberry bramble!" Kwan finished for him.
"A blackberry bramble!" Dash repeated firmly, then turned to Kwan with a confused look. "A blackberry bramble?" he repeated again, this time questioningly.
"Prickly, invasive, and impossible to get rid of," Kwan explained. "Sam and I also talked about her garden."
"Oh, that's nice," Dash then turned back to Wes, hardened his expression and said. "You're like a blackberry bramble, and no one wants you around."
Wes raised an eyebrow and shook his head. "Why do you even care? I thought you hated Fenton."
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I want him dead again," Dash pointed out. "His parents are ghost hunters, and they're always shooting at Phantom. What do you think they might do to Danny if they actually believed your bullshit theory?"
"Get rid of him! Because he's a ghost! You know, the creatures constantly attacking our town and putting us all in danger?"
"The fact that you actually seem to believe that is why nobody at school likes you," Dash told him plainly. "That, and your general annoyingness."
"Why do you all care so much about protecting a loser like Danny Fenton?!" Wes shouted, loudly enough that it attracted the attention of everyone else in the hallway not already listening, and he threw his hands in the air in exasperation. "So he died, so what? It's the fact that he's still around that's the problem. Everyone seems to agree that they want ghosts gone until I bring up Phantom. A ghost is a ghost is a ghost, and all ghosts are dangerous, even the quote-unquote 'good ones.'"
He was breathing heavily when he finished his outburst, and suddenly aware of at least a dozen sets of eyes on him.
"That's enough, Wes," Kwan said after a beat. "Danny hasn't done anything to you, or anyone, and it's not fair for you to keep doing this, trying to expose him or... or whatever it is you're trying to do. You'd better cut it out. If this is a joke, no one's laughing, and if you're serious, then you're trying to take a real person away from his friends and family because of your own biases, and that's messed up, dude."
"Yeah!" someone down the hallway piped up. Micah, Wes thought her name was. She'd spit on his shoes when he tried to convince her of his theory.
"Enough is enough!" her friend agreed.
"You lay off Danny, he's already been through it this year already!"
Soon enough, every student in the hallway was chiming in their agreement, and Wes scanned the crowd, mouth agape, offended and outraged. When he turned back to Dash and Kwan, they both wore hard expressions. It looked weird on Kwan's usually jovial face, but it was clear they meant business.
"Whatever," Wes grumbled. He grabbed his math book out of his locker and slammed the door shut with a metallic bang. "You've made your point. I'll stop."
"Will you actually?" Dash insisted, raising a skeptical brow. "Or are you just saying that to get us off your back?"
"I will," Wes confirmed. "I don't need the entire football team and then some making my life a living hell. As long as Fenton keeps his distance from me, I'll do the same for him."
The warning was passed from Kwan, to Sam, to Danny, and in short order, Danny and Wes started avoiding each other. They barely so much as crossed paths anymore. Wes, begrudgingly, stopped trying to expose Danny, and Danny stopped teasing him for his failures, and it finally seemed like Amity Park's ghostly hero could go on protecting the town in peace.
But things weren't always what they seemed, and one day, there was a fight. At first, it seemed like a standard ghost fight, Danny Phantom versus some vampire-looking asshole.
Based on the banter, it sounded like this wasn't their first encounter with each other, so the civilians of Amity Park tried their best to stay out of the way and let Danny do his thing. Parents calling their kids inside, the group of teens passing by ducked into the alley, the one riding the opposite way on his skateboard crossed the street to hide with them, safety in numbers and all that.
Then the tide of battle turned, and all of the sudden, Danny was losing, badly. The enemy ghost had started coming at him with powerful blasts that broke through his defenses and left him reeling. Danny howled as he hit the street, hard, and in a flash of white light, his appearance changed from hero to dweeb, and regular old Danny Fenton laid unconscious in the road.
"You can never truly best me, Daniel," the enemy ghost said, but he didn't have time to monologue.
The teens in the alleyway had a plan, and they were coming to the rescue.
Sam Manson somersaulted into the street, Fenton Wrist Ray™ already armed and at the ready, and she laid down cover fire at the enemy ghost while Dash and Kwan ran out to grab Danny and drag him to the alleyway where they'd been taking cover.
"Guess you can't tell me I'm crazy now," Wes said, smirking triumphantly as the two jocks put Danny down gently on the ground, propping his head up on Paulina's folded up jacket. "We all saw him turn into Fenton, that's proof."
"Will you shut up, Wes?" Paulina snapped while Star checked Danny over, trying to assess his injuries. "We knew that already."
"What do you mean you knew?"
"Everyone knew, the whole time," Paulina reiterated with a derogatory scowl. "It's like, super obvious."
"Then why did you all treat me like I was crazy?" Wes demanded.
"Because you are," Star said. "Not 'cause you think he's a ghost—because, like, duh—but 'cause you kept trying to tell everyone. Some things should stay secret you moron."
"Why you even wanted to constantly remind the dead kid that he's dead, I'll never know," Paulina added.
"Plus, you constantly trying to expose him was putting him in danger," Kwan said. "Phantom is a hero, and you were trying to get him killed."
"He's already dead!"
"Yeah, we know," Sam jeered at him as she returned to their cover. "Everyone knows. But you're the only person in the whole town who's being a dick about it!"
"Hey, that's the same thing I told him a couple months ago!" Kwan told her, delighted. "I never called someone a dick before, but I did, 'cause he was being one."
"Good job calling him out, Kwan," Sam said, sounding genuinely satisfied. "It's good to hear that you're being more assertive and standing up for yourself and others."
"That's what I said, too!" Dash noted. "God, it's so weird that I actually agree with you on stuff now."
"Can we get back to the fact that you guys all knew the whole time that Fenton was a ghost and nobody thought to clue me in?" Wes said, looking around at the rest of them incredulously.
"Clue you in the Danny was a ghost?" Sam asked sardonically. "I thought you knew."
"No, that it was apparently common knowledge and you all just felt like making a fool out of me!"
"You wouldn't have looked like a fool if you'd just kept your fool mouth shut," Paulina pointed out.
"You—"
Wes was cut off when Danny groaned into wakefulness and everyone's attention instantly snapped to the ghost boy.
"Mn... ugh," Danny took a shaky breath and blinked his eyes open, quickly widening in shock when he realized how many people were leaning over him. "Uh... hello, citizens," he said, putting on a voice in the hopes they wouldn't recognize them. "Please, step back and stay away from the—"
"Danny," Sam said, "You changed."
"Huh?" He looked down at his hand and gasped. "I mean, I have an explanation for this. I was uh... being overshadowed?"
"It's okay, dude," Kwan told him. "We're not going to tell anyone. This'll be our little secret. Right, Wes?"
They all looked pointedly at the redhead, who opened his mouth to protest, and closed it again, his shoulders slumping in defeat.
"Yeah, okay," he relented, though his left eyebrow was nevertheless twitching in irritation. "Our secret."
"We just wanted to get you out of the line of fire before Plasmius took things too far," Sam told him. "You know I've always got your back."
"Thanks," Danny said. "All of you."
They gave him their smiles and their 'you're welcome's while Wes griped and grumbled and left the alleyway with his bike to finish riding home. Plasmius had flown off shortly after Sam started shooting at him. He was content in his victory over Phantom, and didn't feel the need to fight a powerless child like her, so the coast was clear for the rest of them to leave as well.
Sam said goodbye to Kwan so she could walk Danny home while the rest of them resumed their walk to the mall. Sam had been planning to split off before they got their anyway, she was just taking the opportunity to chat with them—mostly Kwan, whom she'd accidentally befriended during Danny's brief stint of popularity earlier in the year (his 'goth' poetry was awful, but they'd bonded over gardening and a love of animals)—since her house was on the way.
"You gonna be okay, Danny?" she asked, as they walked arm in arm so she could catch him if he stumbled. "You don't have a concussion, do you?"
"Maybe?" Danny said, squinting uncertainly. He shrugged. "I'll be fine. I always am. I'm still just amazed how lucky it was that the A-listers and Wes, of all people, were willing to keep my secret. It's gonna be all over the school, tomorrow, isn't it?"
"Oh, I don't know," Sam said vaguely. "Kwan's a decent guy, at least. I'm pretty sure they'll keep their word."
Danny scoffed in disbelief, but didn't voice an argument. The rest of the way to Fenton Works, the chattered about whatever topics came to mind, just to keep Danny from falling asleep in case he did have a concussion, and when Sam dropped him off at home, she held off her mournful expression until she had turned away so Danny didn't have to see it.

It's not my skin, it's not my flesh
Ao3 Spanish ver.
Rating: Mature
Archive Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings,Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Major Character Death
His parents had dedicated his life to that piece of metal and technology.
They forgot to eat, they forgot to sleep, and above all, they forgot their children. As soon as they crossed the door to the laboratory it was as if that portal were the most important thing in the world.
And when his project failed, it was as if everything had finished for them.
They went from reclining in the laboratory to be reclived in their room, and despite the best attempts at Jazz, they just did not come out.
Before they made an effort to stay alive and have the energy to continue building the portal. Now nor that came..
Danny waved his head and stopped his thoughts there, his gaze directed towards the portal, the large metal duct was darkened by leftovers, swallowing dry, and gathering all its value, ventured into the tunnel.
Guiding with a hand resting on the wall, trembling with nerves, he barely felt when something sank under his palm.
The portal immediately collection, illuminated with a strong green light that blinded him.
He was not prepared for what
He was not able to form a single coherent thought, too busy trying somehow not to die.
It hurt
Hurts
Hurts
Hurts
Hurts
Hurts
Hurts
As soon as the electricity released it, he fell out of the door off, trembling. He could feel the spasms that were still going through his body.
His parents opened the laboratory door with a strong rumble, attracted by the cry of his son, and hurried him.
He could not see them well through the tears that overshadowed his vision, but they seemed... worried.
He released a sob of relief, and waited for his mother to embrace him, or that his father will comfort him.
They passed from he.
Jazz low, behind his parents, and knelt in front of his little brother, without knowing if it was safe to touch it.
His sister began to shout behind him. The sound echoed in his ears and rushed him in his head.
The green came back black when his vision darkened.
###
He spent a week a week at the hospital after that.
His parents had convinced the doctors in some way to a miraculously that he would be better at home.
Even in some way convinced them not to call social services.
What a joy
Even if he was terribly pale and trembled at a small breeze of air. His muscles felt rigid, and still had spasms, he felt frankly horrible. He left the hospital in a wheelchair.
They barely returned their parents were submerged in the laboratory again, and they left Danny to take care of jazz without addressing him another word.
They had lost too much time in the hospital.
A waste of time.
If he did not hurt him so much, he maybe he would throw things through the room, or maybe he would cry on the floor.
But he could not.
Jazz helped him climb the stairs.
His knees creaked and protested before the movement.
It hurts
Unfortunately, Jazz could not take care of him all the time.
Danny scratched the palm of his hand anxiously.
Jazz was not much older than him. And yet it was independent and very intelligent, she did not need to waste time on someone like him.
The feeling of tingling on his skin increased.
Jazz was doing what he could to take the family forward.
God, he had so much itching.
He had made her neighbors to ask for food when the refrigerator was busy with radioactive green samples.
Continue scratching. The dry and crude sound was replaced by a more sticky and humid sound.
Jazz had not yet returned, why did it take so long?
His whole body was numb.
He looked through the window of his room, between shadows and blurry figures, Jazz was not in sight, where could he be?
His muscles hurt and creaked, and itching turned ardor.
Everything hurt a lot lately
His skin began to burn, it was as if he were dying again.
It hurts
His skin began to burn, it was as if he was dying again.
Hurts
He does not want to go through this again.
Hurts so much
He can feel his heart beat. He can feel the blood stream in his veins.
Danny began to scratch his chest.
His hands tremble terribly.
He need to release the pressure. He need to make it stop hurting. He continued scratching.
The palpitating pain was rolled on his chest, scratched and pulled the skin and muscles, breaking his ribs.
Now without major obstacles, Danny was able to see the familiar brightness emanating from her interior.
His vision was flooded in green, and the blood began to drip through his nose.
He needs to be released.
He continue to fit in your chest, letting go strong moans of pain.
Steps
Someone was climbing the stairs.
Take the bright thing in a fist and throw it across the room, splashing green everywhere.
And then everything vanished into darkness.
A blink after, he felt relief. It did not hurt anymore.
He felt comfortable on his own body for the first time since the accident. He felt floating drift.
The door of his room was opened hard in a kind of Déjà vu.
His parents looked at something behind him with horror.
They have in their hands a small machine that did not stop bite and summarize. Danny tilted his head without understanding.
Not even in front of them, his parents looked at him. He do not ask to avoid growling while turning to see what his parents had so stirred.
Ah
A great puddle of blood was driving on old wood, touching his shoes and making a sticky crunch in when he came over.
In the center was he.
Or rather what was once.
His body was full of bouncled and bloody hives, his skin was cracked and fell to pieces. Black and putrid spots stretched for what was left.
In his chest there was an irregular hole, his heart was exposed, completely made pieces aside.
A trembling voice pulled away from everyone's corpse.
-Danny!?
Jazz had returned.

Thinking about a mechanic!AU where the 141 boys run a garage and need a new receptionist. They hire you because you’re just so cute (great tits) and have a decent resume but it becomes a slight problem when they realize you’re a bit… dense.
Total ditz to be precise.
But they can’t really get mad when you get the keys for clients mixed up and look at them with those big eyes all teary and a little pout pushing out your lower lip.
Price is the most patient, perfectly content to walk you through how to file paperwork and fill out forms. Instructing you in a low voice while his breath brushes the shell of your ear. It’s really their fault for having such a terrible system, you know? Don’t worry about it too much, dove. He’ll settle his big hands on your shoulders and gently trace up and down your arms. See? You’re getting it. Just needed some more practice, hm?
Johnny is more than happy to show you around the garage, rattling off everything he knows about all those nitty gritty details that go right over your pretty little head. He’ll pop open the hood of some sports car and point to the engine to show it off. No, bonnie, you’ve got tae get in close. Closer.
Until you’re bent entirely over in one of those too-short skirts you wear everyday. It takes all his willpower not to yank you into the supply closet.
Gaz is just so sweet to you. Always bringing you little treats and candies to suck on. To help you concentrate, of course. Always greeting you with a soft ‘baby girl’ at the beginning of your shift. Whenever you’re standing around be it at the printer or counter - wherever really - he’ll slip a hand on your waist. It always trails a little lower, his pinky just edging on the hem of your too tight jeans.
Ghost gets frustrated with you to the point of causing tears to well up in the corners of your eyes. He’s feels guilty, sure, but bloody hell just print the damn receipt. He avoids you for the most part. Until one evening when it’s pouring down. You forgot your rain coat of course, silly girl. He offers you a ride which you take happily.
After that he can’t get rid of you. You bring him coffees (how you remember his order word for word but not where you last left your own cup is beyond him) and giggle at his jokes. When a client gets too snappy or too loud he’s the first to step in - standing behind you glaring at them with his huge arms crossed over his chest until they back down.

Final Bug Fact:
The world NEEDS bugs. They keep the soil healthy, pollinate, control pests, and contribute to the worlds' ecosystem. By the end of the century, it is estimated 40% of insect species may go extinct due to habitat loss. Yes, that is very scary. But with even one beetle spared, one caterpillar rescued, and one Hollow Knight comic of all things, things will change. Because I know there's a lot more Dewi's out there than most people realize. Stay curious.
Thanks for going on this adventure with me. ♥︎

Comic Thoughts and Pictures Below!
I wanted to put here how amazing and sweet everyone has been with this comic. I finished a 75 page comic in 3 MONTHS. I am at a loss for words. That sounds crazy and it IS crazy. But man was it fun. Even on days were I wasn't able to draw due to fatigue or business, I loved working on it from start to finish. And guess what!? This is my first ever FINISHED comic :D I'm so proud of myself. I know there's some things I want to change and the art is wonky in most places...... but I'm content to let it be. What an amazing summer adventure!
I'm hoping to post the full comic on another Comic website. I may or may not edit some of the art ^w^ So I'll let y'all know when I release it.
Interested in learning what you could do to help your local insects? This is the basic stuff. Maybe make some Insect Hotels if you have the time!!! And never forget to spread the word about bugs. They need our help just as any animal on earth.
Still Here? Well you can look in the tags for little lore dumps if ur looking for stuff like that ;)
#dewi's adventures in hollow knight#thank you all for supporting this me and this comic. Truly. It means the world.#And we finally get to see Dewi's Dad! He has that iconic scar on his cheek Dewi told Hollow about.#(He got it from a Barbed wire accident as a kid. But he likes to try and convince Dewi it was from a Grizzly Bear)#Conifer almost had a heart attack from the “Map of the World” haha. His wife was beside herself#The bugs were terrified to meet his Dad. But it was kinda inevitable to have the encounter with the Beast if Dewi was in the picture.#So they sent out the only remaining heirs of the Pale King to make a Peace Agreement. It went as chaotic as you can expect.#Quirrel has taken a liking to the bugs outside Hallownest. He finds them very strange and interesting.#Also Hollow does not like the sun very much. It's brightness scares them.#I also like to think Dewi and humans null the effect of the Hallownest Bug's memories being erased when leaving the kingdom.#Makes it more fun ;)#art#my art#Hollow Knight#hollow knight au#Hollow Knight comic#Hollow Knight fanart#hollow knight hornet#the hollow knight#hollow knight ghost#hollow knight quirrel#hollow knight spoilers#hk spoilers#Also my “full name” dropped. I have it in some of my posts but i guess this is a little more known

Demon Twins AU prompt
Danny gets stuck as an eldritch shadow creature after his Death because he didn't want to leave his twin. They swore they'd always have each other's backs afterall.
So now he's quiet literally stuck to his twin as his literal shadow. Slowly gaining his strength back.
Meanwhile, the JLD is wondering why some dark spirit has latched itself onto the youngest bat.
(Does Damian know?? Maybe it'd be more angst filled if he didn't, tho

I Hate Mondays
Based on the Phic Phight prompt: Danny gets caught in a time loop on the day he was supposed to die in the portal and become Danny Phantom but for some reason never entered it. He has to relive that day over and over again until he finally steps into the portal and dies. (from @ghostboidanny)
AO3 Link
[Warnings for character death (he gets better though because time loop), and descriptions of death/pain]
The life of a student was already so boring and monotonous that it was hours before Danny realized what was going on. His parents were still sulking about their portal not working. Sam and Tucker met up with him before school, and they made the same idle small talk they always did. School was the same, boring drivel it always was. Mister Lancer even gave the same exact assignment he gave them yesterday.
"Uh... Mr. Lancer?" Danny raised his hand, confused. "Isn't this the same assignment you gave us yesterday?"
"No, I only just printed these worksheets this morning," Mr. Lancer said. "I know High School must seem dreadfully repetitive, but I assure you if you actually pay attention, it's more more tolerable."
Danny shrugged and filled out the worksheet, but he could swear it was exactly the same as the day before. He was looking forward to lunch though. It was Tuesday, and on Tuesdays, the cafeteria had pizza. It was school pizza, but still. However, when he got to the cafeteria, there was no pizza in sight. Instead, there were sloppy joes again, even though that was the Monday menu.
"Hey, how come there's no pizza?" Danny asked the lunch lady when he got to the front of the line.
"Today is Monday, and on Monday, we serve sloppy joes."
"No, yesterday was Monday," Danny disagreed, but she just urged him to take his food and go through the line. When he sat down at his usual table with Sam and Tucker he asked them about it, but they confirmed that it was definitely Monday. Perhaps yesterday had just been a dream. He'd never had a dream so realistic and mundane before, but he'd heard of things like that happening.
He and his friends went to hang out at his house after school, and just like in his dream, they ended up in the lab, next to the non-functioning portal.
"Hey Danny, you should go inside and check it out," Sam suggested, and Danny was getting some serious Déjà vu. He told her the same thing he did in his dream.
"No way! That thing is unstable and unsafe. You see all those exposed wires, I could get electrocuted," he said. "Besides, it doesn't work, anyway. What would be the point in going into a big metal murder tube?"
"Boo!" Sam heckled, but she didn't push him further. Technically, they weren't even supposed to be down in the lab, but as long as they adhered to proper lab safety, his parents wouldn't get mad at them.
The next day, Danny woke up, and everything was the same once again. For the third time, Lancer handed him the same grammar worksheet, and the cafeteria was serving sloppy joes, and Sam tried to get him to go into the non-functioning portal, and he refused. The next day was the same, and the next day as well. The day after that, Danny skipped school and went to the movies. It was supposed to be Saturday anyway, and one day of cutting school wouldn't kill him, even if time moved on the next day.
Another week later, Danny had seen all the movies showing at the local theater, even the stupid animated movie for little kids about a talking frog. It was okay. No matter how many times he skipped school, he never got in trouble because it was still Monday, and no time had passed. He went to the mall, to the museum, to the skate park.
He'd stopped paying too much attention to his surroundings. No matter who he talked to, none of them seemed to be stuck in the same loop of Mondays that he was. The first time he died was on the way home from the skate park. He got hit by a school bus.
At first, he felt pressure, then nothing, too numb with shock. In a haze of disorientation and probably brain damage, all he could see was a splatter of red on the yellow paint, blood pooling beneath him. The the sensations flooded him, like a fire through his bones and needles in his lungs as he choked on his own blood. He heard yelling, then only the ringing in his ears. He smelled metal, then nothing. Everything went black.
Then he woke up in his bed, and it was still Monday morning. His parents were still moping about their portal not working. His sister was still telling them that obsessing over ghosts wasn't healthy and they should find some more realistic interests. Dying had shaken him to his core. For the first time in weeks, he went to school. It was good to really hang out with Sam and Tucker again. They never wanted to skip with him, so the three of them hadn't done all that much together in a while.
It was another few Mondays before Danny stopped being rattled by his death, and was once more overwhelmed by the monotony of his life. He hadn't showered in a month, but he still smelled fresh, because he'd taken one Sunday night, ages ago. He didn't have to clean his clothes, or do dishes.
He'd started teaching himself to draw. He wasn't good at it yet, but he had nothing but time. He'd spent probably thousands of hours on the online NASA space shuttle flight simulator. Anything he could think to do to fill the time, he did. He lost track of how many Mondays it had been.
After so many months of the same damn Monday, Danny started to lose it. He already knew that dying wouldn't break the loop, so he started trying dangerous stunts, just to see what they would feel like. Falling fifty stories actually felt really cool, up until he went splat on the sidewalk, but at least that had been a quick death. Drinking Windex just to see if it tasted like Powerade had totally not been worth it.
Every once in a while, when life got too crazy, like when he'd made himself a bazooka out of scraps from his parents lab, then held up a bank for an hour before being gunned down by police, he would go back to school. He would eat a sloppy joe, and spend time with Sam and Tucker, and after school, they would go hang out at his house, and they'd go to his basement to see the portal his parents had made that never worked, no matter how many Mondays passed by.
"Hey Danny, you should go inside and check it out," Sam suggested for maybe they fiftieth time.
Danny remembered all the times he'd called it a murder tube in the past. Somehow, after over a year of Mondays, he found he didn't care if it was. He could go inside and die of electrocution, and he'd still wake up in his bed, and it would be Monday morning again. "Yeah, alright," he agreed, and changed into his jumpsuit.
Sam stopped him before he went inside to peel the Jack Fenton decal off his chest. He went a few steps in and let Sam take her picture, even though it was pointless, and it would be gone by morning, never having been taken in the first place. He went deeper in, stepping over the wires on the floor. There was a button inside the portal, and Danny, not thinking or caring about the consequences, pushed it.
Danny had experiences dozens of deaths by this point, but none of them had been anywhere near as painful as the one he experienced when the portal activated with him inside. Millions of volts shot through him as an inconceivably huge energy surge tore open a hole between one dimension and the next, right through Danny. He could feel his atoms ionizing, his molecules getting scrambled, his blood evaporating in his veins. He had no idea how long it was before the pain suddenly vanished.
Danny kept his eyes squeezed shut. He was in his bed again, and his parents were downstairs moping because their portal didn't work, and his sister was telling them to grow up and abandon their fanciful notions of ghosts. And no matter how many times he lived today, he would never, ever go into that portal again.
"Danny?" That was Sam's voice. Sam had never been in his room before. His bed was hard. Where... what? "Danny, holy shit, are you... okay?" Finally, Danny opened his eyes, but he wasn't in his room. He was still in the lab. The lights had one out, but everything was cast in a strange, eerie glow.
"What's... going on?" Danny asked, putting a hand to his head. His eyes strayed to his reflection in the glass windows of a cabinet. "Is that... me?" His hair had turned white, and his eyes glowed green. The black and white of his jumpsuit had been inverted.
"Don't freak out, but... we think you might be a ghost," Tucker told him.
"I can't be a ghost," Danny said. "I... there's...." He wanted to say there was no such thing as ghosts but, he was floating. He clearly wasn't human anymore. "It's okay," he said. "This is new, but I'm sure everything will be fine. Tomorrow morning, I'll wake up in bed, and it'll be Monday again, and I'll be human again, and neither of you will even remember this."
"Danny, what are you talking about?" Sam asked. "This isn't the time for jokes, we have to figure out what's going on." Danny turned to look at her, and caught sight of the portal behind her.
"The portal... it's working," he observed, shocked.
"Yeah," Tucker said. "It turned on while you were inside and then you came out looking like that." Danny didn't notice he was hovering toward it until Tucker told him, "Hey, don't go back in!"
"Oh! Sorry, I just... it feel like it's drawing me in or something," Danny said. He tried to stop, but couldn't. The portal pulled him closer and closer. He heard his friends calling his name, but he ignored them as the toxic green portal swallowed him.
On the other side was a citadel, full of floating gears and other clock pieces.
"I'm sorry, Daniel," said an unfamiliar voice behind him. He turned to see a very old man with blue skin and a purple cloak, holding a staff. "I wish that things could be different, but you had to die."
"I died plenty of times," Danny pointed out. "What do you mean? Who are you?"
"You had to go into that portal. You had to die there. I'm sorry, but the world needs you like this."
"Sucks for the world, then, because I'm just gonna be back to normal next time I wake up," Danny said. The old ghost sighed, and waved his staff, and Danny was back in his parents' lab. "Come on," he turned to Sam and Tucker, "Let's get out of here. That portal is giving me the creeps."
Danny couldn't sleep, now that he was a ghost, but he'd tried staying up before. At the stroke of midnight, the loop would restart, and he'd be back in bed, waking up on Monday morning. Midnight came and went, and time moved on, moved forward. It didn't reset. Danny didn't reset. He was still there, still dead, still a ghost. There was no turning back.

Take Care of Him
The boy, who had Damian’s face, couldn’t be more different than Dick’s (alive?) baby brother.
Aside from his Snow White hair, he smiled and laughed freely, making puns on top of his embarrassing story about his supposed twin brother.
(“Clones don’t have childhood memories right? So if I have an embarrassing story or two, that’ll give you a way to check that I’m not a clone AND give you ammunition for teasing!”)
“—And that’s how his face—and his pride—was forever wounded by Sparta the warrior cat!” Danny finished his story with a flourish, cracking up immediately after.
“Huh, and to think he left it at “training”, obviously he didn’t think anyone would let the cat out of the bag.” Dick said, laughing even as he eyed the lookalike.
Danny snorted. “Yeah, I doubt he thought anything as Cat-astropic as that would happen.”
They sat in silence for a moment, overlooking the buildings below, with the Dalv. Co. Labs smoking in the distance and the breeze blowing past the two, yet only seeming to affect Nightwing and not the phantom beside him.
“Is he safe? Is he happy?” Danny murmurs as he looks up at the stars, looking every bit the forlorn ghost he claimed to be.
“…We keep each other safe. And I’d say once he got past the stabbing faze, he’s pretty happy in Gotham.”
“But I’m sure it’d make him happy to see you again.” Dick thought back to the comments the vampire-ghost they’d fought earlier. It didn’t sound exactly, “happy” or “safe” for Danny. Or anyone else involved.
Danny shook his head. “Nah. He’s… moved on. And with how crazy my after-life is? I’m already dealing with ghosts, ghost-hunters, and my—err—that frootloop from earlier. I do not need to add furries and murder-ninjas to the mix.”
Danny sighed as he floated into a standing position. “Speaking of which, if you could just, maybe not tell him you saw me? Better to let dead dogs lie.”
Danny’s piercing Lazarus green eyes looked at Dick and he saw the exact same expression B had on whenever he “had to do it alone”.
“Just, take care of him, Kay? Or I’ll haunt you to the ends of the universe!” He said, throwing up a peace sign as he turned invisible.
Dick snorted, “Yeah, sure kid.”
Dick got up and started off toward the bat-plane. He had a brother to interrogate, and another brother/clone of his brother to find.
