Someone broke Hela's trusty coffeemaker. But who?!
Hela: So, who broke it? I'm not mad, I just want to know. ... A.J.: I did! I broke it -- Hela: No, no you didn't. Daisy? Daisy: Don't look at me! Look at Nat! Nat: What?! I didn't break it! Daisy: Huh, that's weird. How'd you even know it was broken? Nat: Because it's sitting right in front of us and broken. Daisy: Suspicious! Nat: No, it's not! Jack: If it matters -- probably not -- but Marcy was the last person to use it. Marcy: Liar! I don't even drink that crap! Jack: Oh, really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier? Marcy: I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles. Everyone knows that, Jack! A.J.: Okay, let's not fight! I broke it. Let me pay for it, Auntie Hela. Hela: No! Who broke it?! .... Nat: Aunt Hela, Daphne's been awfully quiet-- Daphne: REALLY?! Nat: Yeah, really! Daphne: Oh my gods! *a giant argument ensues among the next generation of Avengers while Thor speaks with the adults in the background* Thor: I broke it. It burned my hand, so I punched it.

The Wrong One
Reader met Steve while he was on the run and stuck with him thru everything. Until he saw Peggy Carter again.
Reader x Steve Rogers, Reader x Bucky Barnes
Chapter 15: Home Again
Notes: I know this one is a little short but I'm juggling too much and real life stress has been picking on my muse so I wanted to get this out.
I have a little bit left to write for this pair but am unsure about writing some smut for them. LMK what you think.
Warnings: swearing, fluff
The next morning Y/N was woken up by Winnie softly patting her face and babbling "MaaaMaaa."
She opened her eyes and Winnie laughed, making her smile. "Hi sweet girl."
Winnie clapped and Y/N noticed the smell of bacon and coffee wafting into the room. She sat up and changed Winnie, picking her up before moving into the living room where she could see Bucky in the kitchen cooking, singing and dancing which made Winnie laugh and bounce in her arms.
The sound of laughter made Bucky stop still and spin around to see his girls, his entire world, watching him. He would never let them out of his sight again.
"Good morning doll. Princess Winnie. Breakfast is almost ready."
Y/N smiled. Her heart felt so full after the terror of the last couple of days chasing Steve around, she had her baby girl back in her arms and the best man she could ever ask for in the kitchen, making breakfast for them.
They laughed and joked while they ate, both carrying lighter hearts. Together with their little family was home, no matter where they were.
After breakfast she took Winnie for a bath and ended up soaked from Winnie playing in the water so just climbed into the tub with her.
She took her time washing her daughter's hair and paid close attention to finger and toe nails, tickling Winnie until she squealed. They played with rubber duckies, The Avengers set. Winnie's favorite was Thor and Y/N's favorite was obviously the Winter Soldier.
Bucky came to check on them after hearing Winnie screaming in delight. He laughed when he saw them both soaked and covered in bubbles, laughing joyously.
"Did you need any help in here, doll? You're making a bit of a mess."
She looked up at him smiling "I don't know Jamie, think you can fit in this bathtub, too?" And giggled.
Bucky smiled "I'm not sure that's a good idea. Why don't I just rinse off this little princess so you can finish cleaning yourself up."
Winnie put her arms up, smiling at him "Upupupup, Bubu, upup!"
He grabbed a towel and picked her up "Come on princess, we'll let mama finish her bath." He dressed her up and brushed her hair before adding a ribbon.
Y/N quickly finished cleaning up and dressed herself.
Once they had cleaned the place up they loaded into the quinjet to return home. Finally.
As they walked into her house that evening, they heard poppers and party horns. Pepper, Morgan, Sam, Sarah, Cass, A.J., Shuri, Ayo and Val were waiting for them and a welcome home banner stretched across the vaulted ceiling. Food from Y/N's favorite restaurant was set up on the kitchen counter.
Bucky put Winnie into her high chair and gave her some pasta and bread to eat then sat next to her and pulled Y/N onto his lap and started feeding her.
Sam sat at the table across from them and rolled his eyes "You two need to get a room." followed by gagging sounds.
He became serious for a moment
"Our Steve is alright, a bit dehydrated and shook up but will be fine." He looked at his hands "He would like to meet his daughter but won't do anything unless it's ok with you."
Y/N shook her head "I don't know Sam. I know he didn't do this but we're gonna need a minute. He did leave me and-" she paused. "I don't know."
Bucky gently rubbed her back in quiet support.
Sam nodded "I understand. Don't beat yourself up if you can't do it. He made his bed. I gave you the message and will drop it now."
He looked at Winnie's butter covered face "Hey my little Winn-girl. Is that good food?"
Winnie laughed and nodded, reaching for him with sticky hands "Saaaaaa!"
He picked her up "Let's get you cleaned up Winn-girl." and took her into the bathroom.
Y/N turned to look at Bucky and smiled, feeling her face heat up at how he still affected her. Sitting in his lap was definitely doing something and she tried not to move around too much but being this close, wrapped up in his arms made her all kinds of hot.
She felt her panties moisten and froze wondering if he would smell that. On one hand, it was a little scary to think of him knowing what he did to her but on the other hand, him being able to smell her arousal to know her that intimately without her needing to say a word, was turning her on more.
Bucky cleared his throat and everyone quieted, he looked around to see everyone watching him and had to push down his fear. He picked her up as he stood, carefully set her back down in the chair and went down one knee.
Y/N stared at him, wide eyed and heart racing.
Bucky pulled a small box out of his pocket and gave her a lopsided grin. "Y/N" he spoke softly and looked in her eyes "I have been in love with you since the day we met, never met anyone so incredible. Caring and loyal, smart and stubborn, beautiful and strong. You are everything I could ever want and the last few days have driven home how fragile it all is. I don't want to wait any longer to start our life together." He looked at her hopefully "Marry me?"
Y/N felt like she couldn't get any words out so started nodding enthusiastically as tears ran down her face before she could finally get it out "YES! Yes James. I will marry you."
She had forgotten there were other people there and was snapped out of her daze when she heard clapping, laughing and yelling. She looked around and smiled at their friends.
Bucky had a difficult time putting the ring on her shaking hands while his were almost as shaky. When it was in place Y/N put her hand up to look at the ring, a vintage style, 1 carat sapphire surrounded by smaller diamonds, and sighed.
"It's beautiful James"
Bucky grinned "Nowhere near as beautiful as you are doll." He pulled her close, whispering in her ear
"and all mine."
She shivered at the images those three words invoked, wrapping her hands up in his hair and kissed him with everything she had before pulling back, panting. She pulled on his hair and grinned when she heard his quiet whimper
"I am yours, James, always but you better not forget that you are mine. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone."
She kissed him and nipped at his lower lip, making him growl.
"Careful doll."
Y/N flashed a huge smile at him and whispered back "I'm not scared of you, sarge."
He squeezed her hip and groaned "Later sweetheart, I hope you're ready for me." His nostrils flared and he smirked "Sure smells like you are."
She felt her face heat up and hoped he couldn't tell.
Sam brought Winnie to them while Pepper popped a bottle of champagne and handed out full glasses to everyone starting with Y/N and Bucky.
Winnie laughed and cheered along until Bucky gave her a kiss on the cheek.
She grabbed his face babbling "Bubu" and gave him a sloppy kiss back.
It was after midnight when the last of the guests cleared out.
Bucky carefully picked up Winnie who had fallen asleep on the couch and put her to bed.
He came back out to find Y/N in the kitchen, loading the dishwasher, and shook his head before coming up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his face in her neck.
He started kissing down her neck and shoulder "Come on doll, I'll take care of those in the morning." He nibbled on her neck and whispered in her ear "I wanna take you to bed and spend the nite worshipping you." softly running his hands down her arms.
She felt her core heating up and whined "Buuucky! Stop teasing!"
Bucky quickly turned her around and picked her up bridal style to carry her to the bedroom.
"It's not teasing if I follow through, doll."

Revenna the cat with dad!steve and aj on a rainy day
A.J. was a smart boy, he knew right away that something was up. His dad had been home for over a month now, but things were still pretty off. This was especially true when it came to how he interacted with his mom. They didn't hug and kiss as much as they used to, and when they did, it was always his dad that initiated things while his mom just stood there and took the affection. She was doing her best to smile everything away, but A.J. knew better.
"Why did you leave?"
Steve turned his attention away from the window and put it on his son. This was the first time one of the kids brought up what happened. He and Y/N tried to do what they could to keep things civil for the kids' sake. No doubt there was still tension between them, and Y/N meant it when she said it would take time for them to go back to what they once were with how they've been sleeping in separate rooms and most focus goes on the kids. At this point, they're more co-parents than a married couple.
"I just thought it was the best thing to do, at the time," Steve sighed. He looked down at the little furball on his lap. Revna peered up at him as though also wanting an explanation. No doubt she has been better company for his wife than him. "There was a bad guy I knew who got out of prison, and I was afraid he would come after you guys. I wanted to make sure that didn't happen."
"But if you left, he could still come and get us,"
Steve hummed in response. He knew that was true. It was a very reckless and stupid move to leave them when Sam told him about Zemo. He could've just as easily come after them if he was gone. Thinking about it now, his children could've been even more vulnerable without his presence. Y/N was just as strong, if not, more with her magic. He kept using that as reasoning for leaving to hunt the man down himself.
"We needed you here dad," A.J. said, now looking at him. "Mom needed you."
He knew that. He should've known that when he left. Maybe a part of him was missing his time as Captain America more than he realized. Maybe he just isn't used to hearing life-altering news as a mere bystander. He does the occasional recruiting the way Fury would, but not as intensely due to his kids. It's mostly reporting and offering words of wisdom. The shady things Fury would do to make colleagues get in line like twisting the truth or hiding evidence wasn't something Steve could do. But leaving his family was apparently okay.
"I know, and I'm sorry I left,"
"Are you gonna leave again?"
Steve didn't realize how much of an impact his leaving would make. He should've, especially with how much it broke his own heart to leave them. His kids were smarter than he gave him credit for, definitely something they got from their mother.
"No, son," he mumbled, pulling A.J. to him so they could share a small snuggle with the family cat Revna. "I'm not going anywhere."
He would do better. He's no longer Captain America, after all.

Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Guardians ALDS Game 5: Live Updates, How to Watch
Win or Go Home
As a baseball fan, this is what you live for. As a baseball player, this is what you dream of in your backyard while playing whiffle ball. Win or go home. That's it.
The Detroit Tigers bought themselves a little bit of wiggle room by winning Tarik Skubal's start in Game 2 and taking care of business with a relatively stress-free Game 3, but gave away a chance to close out the series in Game 4 when Beau Brieske surrendered a huge home run to David Fry, flipping the game – and the series – on its head.
Game 5 got off to a pretty mundane start, with Matthew Boyd striking out three Tigers' hitters in the first inning after allowing two base runners, while Steven Kwan got on base because of a weird hit that could've been an error, but Skubal worked around the runner pretty effortlessly.
Skubal was working his magic again to start Game 5 and after Kerry Carpenter somehow drove in the game's first run on one leg in the top of the fifth, things were looking good. But as quickly as it started, it all fell apart. Skubal gave up a grand slam to Lane Thomas, giving the Guardians a 5-1 lead.
The big question entering the game was the status of Carpenter, the Game 2 hero, who had to leave Game 4 after tweaking his hamstring while round third base to score a run. The Tigers stayed relatively coy about Carpenter's status, saying he's a game-time decision, but manager A.J. Hinch insinuated that he was encouraged by what he saw from Carpenter Saturday morning at Progressive Field.
Carpenter wasn't scratched from the lineup, and came into the game in the fifth inning to pinch hit for Justyn-Henry Malloy against right-handed pitcher Andrew Walters. He delivered in a huge way, driving in the game's first run, but the Tigers lost the lead in the bottom of the fifth.
The winner of Game 5 will travel to the Bronx to take on the New York Yankees in the ALCS.
Sixth inning: Tigers get one back, but miss chance with Kerry Carpenter bases-loaded strikeout' Guardians lead 5-2
You've got to give the Tigers credit. They could've wilted after Lane Thomas' go-ahead grand slam, but they didn't. Jake Rogers drove in a run with two outs in the sixth and the Tigers managed to load the bases thanks to the single from Rogers and walks from Parker Meadows and Trey Sweeney. It seemed to all be shaping up for another huge Kerry Carpenter moment, but this time around, the slugger struck out as Guardians reliever Hunter Gaddis blew his fastball by him.
After the Tigers' missed chance, Tarik Skubal made incredibly quick work of the Guardians, needing just five pitches to retire the side.
Bottom fifth: That hurts: Tarik Skubal gives up grand slam as game slips away from Tigers; Guardians lead 5-1
Everything that could go wrong did in the bottom of the fifth inning for the Tigers. After giving up singles to Andrés Giménez and Brayan Rocchio, David Fry got a lucky dink infield single to load the bases. Then Skubal hit José Ramírez, driving in the tying run with the bases load and one out. Then - the hero of Game 1 for the Guardians, Lane Thomas, blasted a grand salami to break open a close game and put the Tigers in real dire straits.
Top fifth: Kerry ... Freaking ... Carpenter delivers on one leg, drives in Trey Sweeney on deep single for 1-0 lead
The Guardians know well what Kerry Carpenter is capable of. He was the hero in Game 2 with an absolute missile of a home run to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead in the ninth inning. With the Tigers' offense sputtering, A.J. Hinch decided that it was worth subbing in Carpenter to face Guardians RHP Andrew Walters, one leg and all. Carpenter was hurt in Game 4 while rounding third base and was a game-time decision with a hamstring injury. But when the Tigers needed Carpenter to come through again, he delivered. He blasted a single to deep right-center field that would've easily been a double had he been able to even jog, but he was super limited by the leg injury. The single was good enough to drive in shortstop Trey Sweeney after he worked a walk, giving the Tigers a 1-0 lead.
Top fourth: Tigers get two good at-bats, but can't score again as game stays tied 0-0
Spencer Torkelson had maybe the best at-bat of the game in the top of the fourth with two outs, fighting and clawing his way through and eventually blasting a ball to deep left-center field that looked like it was going to be a home run. The ball hit the middle of the high wall and Torkelson got a double. Parker Meadows followed that up with another great at-bat, working a walk, but Jake Rogers ended the top of the inning with a ground ball to short.
Third inning: Tarik Skubal goes beast mode to escape jam after rare Riley Greene error; Game tied 0-0
Malloy, Vierling and Greene went down in order as the Tigers continued to struggle at the plate before turning the bats back over to Cleveland. For the first time of the day, the Guardians made the Tigers and Skubal REALLY sweat when Brayan Rocchio singled to left and then Steven Kwan got to second base thanks to an uncharacteristic error from Riley Greene in left field that put the Tigers in a real jam with one out. Skubal turned up the dial with the pressure on, hitting 100 mph multiple times and striking out David Fry and forcing a pop out from Lane Thomas. Disaster averted.
Second inning: Tigers can't drive in Parker Meadows after double; Skubal keeps game tied 0-0
After Tarik Skubal worked around a wonky hit from Steven Kwan in the first inning, the Tigers looked like they may be working with something in the second. Parker Meadows slapped a double down the left-field line and then stole third base to get in great position with one out. However, the Tigers continued their playoff struggles with runners in scoring position as Jake Rogers flew out to right field, but it was too shallow to score Meadows, and then Trey Sweeney had an uncompetitive strikeout to end the inning. Skubal then made quick work of the Guardians in the second, striking out one and forcing two groundouts.
Top first: Tigers stand 2 runners as Matthew Boyd strikes out 3
Matthew Boyd looked a little shaky out of the gate, hitting Justyn-Henry Malloy in the first at-bat of the game, but bounced back with a strikeout of Matt Vierling. Boyd then walked Riley Greene to put a second runner on base, but corrected the mistake by striking out Andy Ibáñez and Wenceel Pérez to end the inning.
Tigers vs. Guardians ALDS Game 5 pregame notes
BUILT FOR THIS:Detroit Tigers season isn't a mirage or even magic — they're built to win ALDS Game 5
With a win, the Tigers advance to the ALCS to play the New York Yankees for the American League pennant while a loss ends the 2024 Tigers' run.
The Tigers had a chance to close out the series at home in Game 4, but lost the closely-fought game 5-4 to push it the maximum distance. It was a back-and-forth battle at Comerica Park and the Guardians came out on top with one more clutch hit, a pinch-hit two-run home run from David Fry, to keep their season alive.
The Tigers have star pitcher Tarik Skubal set to pitch the deciding game. Skubal is 2-0 in the postseason without giving up a run over 13 innings, including seven innings of shutout ball against the Guardians in Game 2 to set up a late rally. On the other side, former Tiger and left-hander Matthew Boyd gets his second start of the series for Cleveland after he also started Game 2 and gave up no runs in 4⅔ innings.
Designated hitter Kerry Carpenter is still a game-time decision with a hamstring injury, while catcher Jake Rogers is fully active after taking foul balls off his catching wrist last game.
