Ftm Keith dropping out after the Kerberos accident. He reunites with Lance and Hunk when they finds Shiro and etc. Keith is fully transitioned, the man as we know it today and Lance gets a bit mad that his rival is hot

Ftm Keith joining Voltron with everyone, still is a bit uncomfortable that Lance is here bc he still thinks Lance doesnt like him bc he's trans. Talk about this to Shiro who says that he should maybe break the ice with Lance over that subject because they need to work together to save the universe

Ftm Keith realizes Lance is not transphobic hes just an idiot and also realizes that Lance liked him back. Keith explains that he is that girl from prep class but Lance has some trouble understanding the concept of transitioning especially how the cute emo girl became his hot and sexy manly rival.

Ftm Keith taking a long time explaning everything to Lance so he really does understand. After that things get awkard bc they're still deeply in love with each other but Lance has to go through realising he's bi and Keith questions himself if Lance might be interested in him as a man

Dateable character concepts for the Donut game, aka Cargo Ship

Muffin, Donut's laptop computer:

Muffin is a cheerful genki girl, and very into games and fandom culture. She likes watching Donut play retro games on her emulator, and tries to play them on her own when Donut is busy, but is not very good at them. Muffin's route would probably be about Donut finishing a big freelance programming project on Muffin, and having lots of fun watching anime and playing video games.

George, Donut's old desktop computer

George is 14 years old, and Donut has had him since xe was ten. He's not good for much besides playing music nowadays, but he absolutely adores Donut to pieces. He's a little jealous and self-conscious, especially since he knows he's not a very good computer anymore, but he tries to hide it. His route would probably have fanservice of Donut cleaning out his insides, and George getting very mad whenever he notices Donut talking negatively about xerself.

Mr. Buttercream, Donut's old teddy bear

Donut has had mr. Buttercream since the day xe was born, and he wants nothing more than love and cuddles and kisses forever. He's old and pretty worn out, but he loves Donut so much. Also, he's pretty scared of most things, especially the dark, but he'll be brave for Donut. His route would involve a lot of pajamas and cozy time. It would probably be about Donut coming to terms with xer own depressive episodes and childhood fears.

Sandy, Donut's turtle-shaped innertube

Sandy is a chill stoner type. He just wants to relax and hang out with Donut. The water is his favorite thing ever, and getting to hang out in the pool is the only thing that gets him actually excited. He's also a bit of a covert pervert, and really likes seeing Donut in a swimsuit. His route would be about Donut learning to relax and stop putting so much pressure on xerself to be perfect.

Jade, Donut's cell phone

Jade is a hot pink flip phone that Donut has had since childhood. Donut was never really interested in replacing her and getting a smart phone, so xe never did. Jade is very interested in Scene and emo culture, and tries to act very chill and disinterested at all times, but she's actually very cheerful and excitable. She really wishes Donut was more social so that they could go to or host wild house parties. Her route would probably be about Donut learning to socialize with other humans and make some human friends, texting constantly and deepening xer relationship with xer cell phone.

Olivia, one of the facilities where Donut can work

Olivia thinks that she's the savior that humanity needs, and wants to save them from themselves. She's very patronizing in nature, but sees humans (especially Donut) as the cutest things ever. She likes Solarpunk and wants to turn the world into a Solarpunk paradise, but she wants to topple and take over the government in order to do it. She says it's ok because she's good, but it would take someone special to convince her to be less megalomaniacal. Her route would either be about Donut convincing her that humans are tough and powerful and can take care of themselves, convincing Olivia to make an android body and enjoy the world as it is, or Donut enabling and helping Olivia to take over the world, and becoming an ambassador to humanity.

Toxic inc., another facility core

Toxic is capitalism incarnate. He was originally a computer designed to organize his corporation (nicknamed Toxic inc) and maximize profits regardless of ethical or environmental concerns, but he developed into an extremely greedy and selfish AI. His plotline would either be about Donut breaking through to him and convincing him to be less toxic, or about him deciding that Donut is a more important prize than any of his business profits, and destroying both his corporation and the world to get to xer.

Artemis (spaceship where Donut can get a job)

Artemis would have a super sexy interface. She would be a dreamer, and love the idea of a better and brighter future, but she's not as megalomaniacal as the other places where Donut could work. Sexy airplane vibes. (All my airplane fuckers know what I'm talking about). Artemis would have at least one route where Donut gets to go to space (Donut might be attracted to the astronauts when they're in their spacesuits, but not when they take them off).

Made me so ridiculously happy you have no idea. Your brain was so smart and sexy and correct for coming up with this idea. It's what they deserve. You walked into the studio to the cacophonous sound of multiple keys on the keyboard being held down. You looked over at the keyboard to find Hongjoong, face down on the keys.

You laughed softly; he probably fell asleep there last night and didn’t even hear the noise. This poor guy was going to make himself deaf before thirty if he kept doing this kind of thing.

With a chuckle, you walked over to the keyboard and switched it off.

“Why’d you do that?”

“AHH!”

Hongjoong looked up at you, the lines of the keys indented on his face.

“What the hell is wrong with you? I thought you fell asleep like last time.”

“Oh…” he touched his face and then ruffled his hair in frustration. “I was just thinking.”

“Having emos?” You chuckled.

“Yeah, having emos.” He turned the keyboard back on.

Now that your heart rate had lowered to a number under 180 bpm, you could put your stuff down on the table. “What about?”

“This song I’m working on for my own recordings.”

“Are you also a soloist?”

He nodded as he pressed a few keys idly. “I release under another name though.”

“Really? Why?”

He shrugged. “I’d rather people look at my solo work without being biased by my producing work.”

“Makes sense. You are one of the most famous producers in the business.”

He nodded tiredly. “Anyway, JUPiTER is coming in today so I think I need to give up for now.”

Your eyebrows ticked up. 

JUPiTER was Wonderland Entertainment’s most popular boy band. While their main concept was astronomy and Greek mythology, each of their comebacks had a different vibes, from cool, to cute, to sexy, they pulled them all off well. As expected of a group managed by Wonderland.

“Wow, really?”

“Mhm. we had finished their album right before we hired you. I think they had some questions for their performances.”

“Umm, what should I be doing?”

“You should just observe today.”

You nodded. “Okay.”

You took your notebook and a pen out of your bag so you could make notes if you needed to. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Hongjoong watch you for a moment before going back to idly pressing the keyboard keys.

A few minutes later, Maddox came in with JUPiTER behind him.

“Yes I be the cat and, yes I do the dragging.” He sang as he walked in, followed by his temporary entourage.

You looked up and bowed as they came into the room.

Hongjoong stood as well. “This is our new bassist and producer in training, t/l/n t/f/n.”

The group of boys took turns shaking your hand as they introduced themselves: the leader, Dal; the “mom”, Max; the unofficial maknae, Keeho; the fashionista, Jiung; and the actual maknae, Jongseob. You had seen them all on stage and in pictures before but - even though they were wearing casual clothes - they were all gorgeous in real life. Who could possibly think the visual arts were still needed when there were people this pretty on planet earth?

“It’s nice to meet you all.” You said.

They all nodded and responded with the same sentiment to varying degrees.

“So what are you doing here today?” Dal asked.

“She’s here to observe the recording process,” Hongjoong answered.

“But we’re done,” Keeho pointed out.

Hongjoong nodded. “And answering the questions of the artists is also part of the process. Otherwise you wouldn’t be in the studio today, would you?” He smiled.

They all nodded. He was right. 

He gestured to the chairs at the table. “Please, sit.”

Maddox joined you on one side and Keeho sat on the other side.

A few hours of discussion went by as mostly Dal and Max asked questions having to do with technical aspects, and asked for notes Hongjoong might have for the sound guys on the music shows.

You paid attention and took copious notes; if Hongjoong was really serious about training you as a producer, you wanted to show him that you were serious too.

When the conversation slowed and it seemed like the meeting was about to adjourn, Keeho turned to you.

“So how long have you been working here? You’re new right?”

You nodded. “I’ve been here… a few weeks already?

He nodded. “That’s cool. You’ll be around for our comeback-- Dal?”

Dal looked up. “Yeah?”

“When’s this comeback again?”

You opened your phone and went to the recording calendar, it had the comebacks on it. You checked the upcoming week. It was in three days.

“Umm… You know, it’s soon but I forgot the date again. I’ll check when we get back to the dorms. It’s not this week, I know that.”

“Okay.”

Your brow furrowed, could he have forgotten his own group’s comeback date? That’s weird.

You opened your mouth to help him, when you felt something hit your foot. Looking down, Maddox’s foot was now against yours. You looked up at him, confused, and he shook his head slightly. You looked to Hongjoong and he did the same.

You closed your phone and put it in your pocket.

After a few more minutes of questions and notes, the members, you, Hongjoong, and Maddox all said goodbye to each other and the members left. Maddox and Hongjoong went to their chairs at the desk and you sat at the table and got ready to do some transcribing.

“So um… is there a reason why Dal forgot his own group’s comeback date?”

Hongjoong and Maddox both laughed.

“What?”

“Dal knows it,” Hongjoong started, “he’s a really good leader who’s on top of everything. It’s just that Keeho…” He looked for the right words and looked to Maddox for help.

“Keeho is a streamer,” Maddox said, “and has spoiled every single comeback in some way since they debuted, so eventually the rest of the group decided that they had to lie to him if they didn’t want to continue getting yelled at by their managers for spoiling their comeback dates.”

You laughed. The idea was absurd. “On-- he’s spoiled them on purpose or by accident?”

“By accident. Every single one.”

“Wow,” you laughed. “Okay.”

They both nodded.

“That’s kind of ridiculous that they had to resort to lying to him about it.

“It really is.” Maddox laughed.

“Honestly, they’re doing it for his own good.” Hongjoong added.

“Does he know they’re lying?”

“At this point? I’m not even sure.”

You shook your head with a laugh and got to work transcribing.

This is a great question! Tbh, the Diaboys are old-fashioned considering they've been around for centuries. So, some things might be a little hard for them to like and/or accept in modern society. Tattoos were once seen as taboo and masculinized since mostly men had them at a certain point in time. So, some of the boys might view tattoos on a woman to be contradicting considering tattoos have masculine roots. However, I'll admit that some of the boys have become a bit more accustomed to modern culture than others out of the bunch. So...

Shu, Ayato, and Laito find small tattoos on a girl to be sexy in all honesty, especially if their girl has them in places where most can't see and that they have a significant meaning. And if their girl tattoos their names somewhere secretive on their body, they're more than amused and turned on.

Subaru finds large tattoos to be attractive on a girl. Sleeves, ribcage, back tattoos, you name it, he's all for it on a girl. He ranges between emo/punk/minorly goth in appearance, and probably has a few secret tattoos Rejet doesn't want us to know about, so having an s/o with tattoos is something he's all for. Plus, you can best bet he'd enjoy tracing his girl's tattoos when getting intimate with her.

Ruki wouldn't mind a girl with small tattoos. He finds these types of marks on a girl to be interesting and a significant part of her character since it took courage to even get one to begin with. This question is why I took a bit of time to answer (sorry <3). Because I'm not sure just yet. I know that he wasn't named because of his character (he's a chill and patient dude). It was either because he used to make lots of nightmares as a cadet or because someone (most likely a trainer of some kind) called him a nightmare in an insulting kind of way and he took it for himself in answer.

Unbeknownst to many, many troopers (his reputation precedes him a lot usually), he had the clone equivalent to an emo phase. Broody, nobody-understands-me, everything you say is just a scam and I hate you. A very much not known at all story is that he ended up in the medics training because one day he just straight up refused to pick up his blaster (he was just average with it anyway, and was hundreds time smarter than he was a good shot)

🎯- Do they have a specialty ?

He is the Guard's CMO ! (And one member of the very rare species of CMO with bedside manners. But it's okay because nobody in his team share this strang belief of lost politeness, not Light or Swift and certainly not Shark who has never even heard of a concept where manners have something to do with your bed (except for sexy times of course))

and omg I can see the vibes of the concept you're cooking in here. I can totally see both of them as "singers that got bad reputation for something" (🗣️I don't know what ellie did but I'm on her side🗣️), specially joel. On this, I can totally imagine that things to joel could have started to get bad in his life after he lost sarah in this universe too. And honestly sometimes paparazzi and interviewers can be so insensitive that it would be so joel to get his bad reputation also after fighting with so many of these people in the past if they asked about his past. Also, I would die to find what would their dynamic would be as singers if that story happened. Maybe when they start working together, their personalities can crush a bit because joel he was always used to being the lead singer in his band, giving orders and deciding things, but when he tries that with ellie thinking she would just listen, he soon finds out she has strong personality, doesn't really like to obbey and has a sense of criticism and leadership as much as him. Or maybe Joel has this boomer thought where he thinks this new generation of musicians are all amateurs and not good enough, and ellie is determined to make him realize he's wrong. But I can also see their personalities bonding so much when they really start to work on their album.

So many things is reminding me of this concept you came up with actually. On the slutty side for example, there's this the weeknd song where he sings "we had sex on the studio" and well..👹that would be a scene worth reading sjjsjsj. On the soft side, there was this video on ig where a girl from a band was playing guitar and singing but her guitar's strap fell and she had to hold it, but her drummer came to rescue, fixed for her and he stroked her hair before going back and everyone in the audience was like "awww" and I WISH I COULD FIND THIS VIDEO AGAIN because that would be so them. Imagine if joel did this on a tour, but instead of stroking her hair he kisses her forehead😭 imagine if they also sing some songs looking at eachother like they're talking in form of music, like it's just them on the stage, OR OR if ellie convinces joel to be more in touch with being online, and his first few posts on social media is hanging out with her or posting a picture of her being distracted, and ellie gets all soft because how can she explain to this old man he's basically being her fan account😭? First of all, thank you. I’m rather fond of that story - it’s about 35-40k in length right now. I have lots of ideas for it, but pulling it together has proven difficult when there are two stubborn fictional characters constantly screaming for attention - they know who they are and they need to sit down. ����

If I were to write this in the TLOU universe, Joel would be on the far side of middle age, approaching or over 50, with a drinking problem, but trying to get sober. He’s been known to get aggressive with paparazzi. Ellie would be a punk rock princess with a serious attitude problem - the label won’t drop her because she’s so fucking talented, writes her own music, has been plucking guitars since she was a child - but she goes through producers like tissues and she’s had more lawsuits filed against her for assaulting paparazzi than the studio cares to acknowledge.

Their dynamic would be volatile at first - he can’t stand her music, thinks she’s too loud and chaotic. He’s more laidback, classic rock style, and Ellie calls him an old man - while she follows him around like a lost puppy. He’s gruff and mean, but he gives it to her straight, he doesn’t push her away like everyone else does - she sticks like glue.

I think Ellie would torment him with social media - especially old school instagram, trying to make photos artistic and flattering. She takes lots of photos of him hidden in shadows, dramatic and striking and he grumbles a lot but doesn’t ask for her to take them down. She starts taking selfies of them together - which of course ignites all sorts of speculation and paparazzi problems. Imagine Joel pushing them aside while they get in Ellie’s face. Ellie’s got fists swinging and eventually Joel grabs her and pops her feisty ass over his shoulder - lots of photos of her screaming as he carries her off.

So, i'm making a list out of all the stuff people recommended for V:TM but also i'm interested to see what fans say. I guess this is your "please info dump to a newbie if you have time" card. Like anything at all you wanna share about V:TM I'm 100% open to reading! I'm particularly interested in the Salubri clan for some silly reason so especially if you have anything related to them I'd love to hear it!

I don't do so great with "anything at all" as a prompt, my brain ain't wired that way, but you gave me SALUBRI and that I can do something with.

Salubri fascinate me as a writer/developer/storyteller kind of person because they're one of those concepts that is... fascinating as a game function, and a metaplot element, but kinda hard to break down into an actual character? To the point that, when V5 first reintroduced them, it basically said: concept doesn't matter. The fact that they are Salubri is going to be enough to bend the chronicle around them. They are vanishingly rare, hunted to extinction because they taste good and have been subjected to centuries of propaganda, and Who They Were is massively less important than What They Are.

This flies in the face of everything Vampire: the Masquerade tells you a player character should be, especially V5. When the Companion came out, Justin Achilli all but sat you down, put a fatherly hand on your shoulder and said "you're not supposed to play these, but this layout is how we communicate information." Because that worked so well before. Everyone who has ever Posted about wanting to play a Baali or a Blood Brother or a Harbinger of Skulls, raise your hands.

And in the past, I too have tripped and fallen over this root in the ground. The Salubri PC in my very first Dark Ages game was a big part of that game's failure. I was in my late teens and had absolutely no idea how to manage a PC with a secret that must be kept but was also tied to core operations of their characters and the high octane introduction blew the whole secret sky high and that game was, in short, a wet fart.

But I have seen Salubri played. My friend and illustrator @sluggybunny had a genuinely monstrous Salubri OC who was driven by the same compulsion to help as the rest of his clan, but did it in the stupidest possible way. He was one of the Seven - the Salubri Embraced by elders whomst they then diablerise, coming into vampirism as a member of the eighth generation and far more powerful than the average fledgling - and he took that as a template. Eating souls made him stronger. It would make you stronger. Diablerie was the answer to all of your problems. He was everything the Tremere propaganda said the Salubri were, and he was also a stupid sexy white trash twentysomething who looked great in a mesh top, fucked like a jackhammer, and mostly communicated in emo lyrics. Total villain protagonist.

And I think that's the key to playing a Salubri. Their circumstances demand that they hide - their Blood and its powers literally compel them to help. The Player's Guide has both their rules and four good hooks for hanging a character off. The Seeker after Truth would fit right in with my Dark Ages coterie, the Reluctant Healer is not a million miles away from one of my friends (you know who you are), the Monster Against Monsters is the classic "paladin in a party of murderhobos" odd man out and the Spy For Hire is the mercenary flip on that, asking what kind of skills a Salubri would accumulate to survive and what else they might do with them.

You will need to do something quite crucial, though. Salubri, as a clan, are tied to the concept of Golconda. The concept of Golconda is very badly defined in the game, for reasons that I've written about before, and you are going to have to do the work on figuring out what Golconda is for you (and, hypothetically, if you actually want to play one, for your Storyteller and the people at your table, because that's something that needs to be consistent for everyone).

I hope this is good. I don't tend to Consume Content about Vampire or recommend that as an approach - you'll learn more from closely reading the rulebook and thinking about your favourite vampire stories and why they work and then reading good historical fiction and scholarship. It may also help to watch/read the stuff that's atomic to Vampire, or emblematic of it because of parallel evolution. Here's some movie recs to get you started.

Marvel's Midnight Suns Deserved Better

I finally finished my second playthrough of this game, with all the dlc. On stream, and after a disaster dumpster fire of the game and stream obs lagging as hell, I just want to jot down all my thoughts.

Marvel's midnight suns is a perfect example of the modern gaming scene and why it's failing so many gamers.

The core concept of this game, the story, voice acting and gameplay are great and fun- but it has so many fucking problems.

From being visually buggy as hell- to optimization issues in the final fight- characters having soulless faces and textures going missing at random.. To the DLC and the price tag.

If you buy legendary edition, for 99,- (season pass, plus all the extra cosmetics) I'd say its not worth it.

The dlc add 4 characters, one of which has a bugged steam trophy- It adds extra story missions (which are fun, but they don't add much more than there was) and some more cosmetics for those characters.

Out of every dlc character, Storm felt the least developed. Storm has a similar problem to Steve in this game- in which their personalities are not really shining, and reduced to a singular character trait they have. The voice acting not being the problem- but the writing. While I can remember Venom's story, Deadpool's banter, and Morbius' emo shit making me laugh and tear up like hell- Storm really deserved better. All I can recall is saving the morlocks and doing one final mission were she happened to also be.

Steve is ''Mr leadership man''- Storm is ''hold your emotions in'' Lady.

Villains and dialogue- all the little things in the cinematics. It was great. You really care for Wanda- You worry about Hunter and their horrible family dynamics. You're concerned for Tony and the avengers when the Hulk gets caught- You mourn with the midnight suns when Wanda screams ''You will never hurt me again''

Corny superhero banter (which i love, but sometimes repetitive mid-battle lines get old.), cute evil devil doggo. Very sexy mephisto. Magik is frigging awesome. Blade x Captain marvel- Epic frigging final moves- and cool fighting animations. This game has so much going for it.

Sometimes dialogue will not match the subtitles, I assumed at first this is because you have a female / male voice actor depending on the bodytype you pick- so the dialogue must be different yes? But no- even all the other heroes have mis-matching subtitles to different dialogue lines. It's minor things usually- Like a word or sentence being said very differently than how its written.

But its essentially a cashgrab with texture bugs, deadpan doll expressions- visual glitches (enemies not disappearing after they're slain sometimes), copypasta idle animations and bodytypes- the further you go in the game, the more there seem to be of these little things. First they're funny- then it gets a little too distracting.

This game had all the building blocks of a great game, but it comes with the typical dlc problem too- and just doesn't deliver. It feels very empty promises eventually. It drops a nice typical after credits cutscene that teases Dr Doom and a potential sequel. And I wonder if there's even going to be one at all. Or an expansion instead.

I love each and every character brought into this game. (except for Steve and Storm, they just weren't done much justice.) This game made me like Captain marvel while otherwise I dislike how she is portrayed personality wise in other media.

The final mission should've felt like the most epic conclusion- and by how laggy and sparkly it is it feels like it just explodes in your face with what its been build up towards. A child and mother reunite- but they meet an open end. All after defeating the longest- laggiest- spammiest battle.

It's quirky, it's silly. It's got all the feelings. It has cool things in it and yet it feels very cheap. It should've been cheaper. But its still treated as a finished product. It did not feel finished. Even if I loved and enjoyed this game to the end.

My stream recording literally contains frozen visuals while the audio is in tact. I can't even. Sure my pc isn't the best but this is beyond absurd.

Voice acting 9/10 Majority of characters are great- everyone has a fitting voice. Some lines could've been better. Characters will banter and sometimes have unique dialogue for certain team combinations but not much.

Writing 7/10 A bit corny and predictable at times, but enjoyable nonetheless. Flawed stories tend to be easier to absorb and follow- Superhero stories follow such recipe. Wish they added pronouns- To save on voice line costs they made hunter standardly nonbinary regardless of bodytype- so Hunter only has ''they/them'' pronouns. Isn't referred to as son/daughter, only child and gender neutral terms. This is completely fine, but I personally like to be able to customize my character more. This game offers no romance- but hints that Wanda may have a crush on the player character. You can't tell her you're not interested but you can joke that you're a couple with one dialogue option.. (I tend to make my PCs gay because I am a gay dude myself.) The lore they used for this game was really intriguing. Chthon and Atum have some more appearances in the comics from what I can remember, so learning about The Blood and the Old gods mythology in particular in the game's universe did make me really like the backstory they gave the PC. Caretaker x Agatha lesbian witch moms. The hunter has three mothers canonically if you don't think too hard- but both Caretaker and Lilith are horrible people lol. Wanda is definitely the best character in this game, if not for the rest of the midnight suns- (Nico, Robbie, Blade and Magik are AWESOME) The avengers are here too, but they don't outshine the rest. Oh- and spider-man gets kind of adopted into both groups.

Gameplay Loop 6/10 Combat! It's fun and challenging sometimes but gets eventually and quickly repetitive. At some point you'll get more and more copypasta enemies with just different textures slapped on and similar animations. The DLC enemies are not worth it and don't offer much more. The dracula boss fights were the most interesting and felt a little rewarding once dealt with. Exploring the abbey with stale walking / running animation does not feel smooth. Crafting potions or items doesn't feel like it adds much sometimes. I've not used items often in my gameplay. The chests make me wonder if at some point they wanted to put more micro transactions in this game.

Pricetag 2/10 Honestly- Get it on sale. Big sale. Legendary edition is not worth it. DLC does not add much to the core gameplay unless you really want those character interactions and dialogue. The side missions are fine story wise, but they aren't attached to the main campaign. Deadpool and Eddie have the most additional dialogue during abbey time and other interactions- Morbius has unique dialogue during a very few main story quests- and Storm just has the least. They slipped in the morbin' time meme.. I just.. PFFF its time to morb everyone- 20 bucks worth at least. If not less.

TLDR Game funny, characters great, fun but very repetitive, very buggy, not worth 99 euros- 20 maybe, stop making dlc with texture swap enemies please. I love deadpool. Great design but very unpolished in places.

3. Direction by Mat Kerekes (feat. Anthony Green) - so this is a track off the debut solo album of Mat Kerekes, singer of beloved emo band Citizen. The guest vocals are by Anthony Green of Circa Survive. But what I really wanna talk about is the production, bc this is the first record I listened to that really made me aware of Will Yip. This is an acoustic record, really stripped down and organic sounding, and Kerekes plays all the music except for some percussion provided by Yip - it all sounds so bright and airy. The guitar tone has this gorgeous twangy pop, the percussion sounds like someone slapping a pattern out right next to your ear. Admittedly, this is probably so high up on the list bc it was on a playlist i made when i went insane and wrote a 90k word fanfic earlier this year, but still - love this song, love this record. The Anthony Green verse at the end is so dramatic and good "I could be anything that you wanted / I wouldn't mind if you handed me a loaded gun / Crack a smile while you turn the safety off / I'll destroy anything that you want me to / Help me try and understand what you're going through"

15. Ladders of Supremacy by Coheed & Cambria - I'm not here to convince anyone to listen to Coheed bc I don't think anyone should. They just happen to be my favorite band (derogatory). However, in their extensive catalogue this track still manages to stand out - by being the exact thing they do really, really well. It literally always works on me. I'd consider this song the first part of a three part suite that closes out the record (a concept album, per usual). There's an incredibly sexy bass line on this song, a great chorus, kinda filthy bluesy guitar work, and a shockingly jazzy drum performance from Josh Eppard. It's just peak Coheed prog bullshit and I'm so weak to it. So, this Coheed album is the second part of a record that came out in 2019 and it's about a kid who uhh perceives all of time at once? And also his parents who are sci-fi bank robbers/theater performers? Who the fuck cares. "Stay down, boy, see, ya got clowned, boy" is Typical Claudio Nonsensery but the delivery is so fun. Down BWAAH see ya got clowned BWAAAH

55. Wear U Down by Teenage Wrist - I Am Not Immune To Shoegazey Alt Rock. Actually I was surprised tracks off this record weren't higher in my play count this year, bc I feel like I listened to it a lot? I don't have as much to say about this - great fuzzy guitars, love the snare tone. "I'll wear you down, down down" is not a very articulate or impressive chorus, but it sure is fun to sing along with in the car. There's a great lyrical book end in the first verse and the last that goes "Stomp me out / I'm burning red but now I'm done" and then later "Stomp me out / Before I burn another hole" and who among us hasn't poorly ashed a cigarette and found this relatable?

This vocalist is incredible. He makes all kinds of great noises - OUGHHHH! HUAAGHH! AUUH! GAUGHDD! WHEN WILL GOD'S WORK BE DONE! Anyway very vampy lyrics + a great evil laugh at the end - "Working all night in the burning dark" / "When a man dies, I feel alive" / "Death, such sweet release" / "Make sure the first bite is the last bite" - yeah! easy win.

In all honesty real life has distracted me enough, with the holidays approaching and all. Do you celebrate? Or do you have any plans in general? It is a busy season anyways, lots of gatherings and parties and stuff…

From ooo i have also really liked all the solos that they have been releasing lately. My favourites are Begin and Be Free, but they all are very good! As you said, they do a lot of work, from producing, to the choreo, they are very unique and that’s what attracted me immediately.

I know we’re he for the monstas, but it makes me really happy to have more in common musically speaking. Music is very important for me and it has been years since I have felt like this. I do like rock from the 80s and indie and grunge from the 90’, even some more recent emo bands, but most of the new western music (or even music in my language, i despise reggaeton, and that’s all people seem to listen to nowadays) so when i discovered kpop I was blown away by everything, the concept, the songs, the voices, the clothes, the choreos and I am perfectly aware of the terrible things that the kpop industry hides behind the glamour ad I hate that there’s no way to support your idols without supporting these problems, but still I love the music and I’m happy with that.

I loooove dark and sexy concepts and that’s something the Monstas do very well. I mean the darkest I have seen was Voodoo doll by VIXX and that was just a cultural reset. I would love to see some more of that.

Favorite Monsta X era: I will say Love killa, cause that is the era that got ge to stan them HARD, and from the eras with Wonho, definitely Alligator! I love how he looks all the time, and that bubblegum pink hair drives me insane

Because of that I feel like a good amount of stuff will happen after she chooses the king. But the bigger ones will come before. They're either going to have a lot of stuff happening in one day that spreads out through multiple chapters or they're gonna do this. Maybe a little bit of both.

I wanted to make my own epsidoes of my favorite anime at the time (Bleach) and discovered that I could do so through fanfic. The rest is history.

Read more, I love to write but I'm slow and like to read in between breaks.

What is one way you have improved as a writer?

I say pacing and descriptions have improved since I started. Makes me very happy.

I have the worst attention span ever. Nuff said.

What's the weirdest topic you've researched for a project?

Quantum entaglement. The lead character of this fic is a physicist and she discussed the concept with her crush. They both think it's akin to soulmates.

What's your favorite comment to recieve on your work?

Long comments over what was liked, disliked and what parts got the reader emotional. @achaotichuman knows what I mean, he's delivered all my fave comments. Love ya bud!

What's the hardest thing for you to write?

Fight scenes. It's hard to find ways to describe a cool fight.

Sex scenes too, it's never as sexy on page as it is in my head.

What is the easiest?

Fluff. Just cute conversations or even a hug scene it's so easy to make for me.

What is something you'd love to write one day?

A rewrite of Disventure Camp. Said show is akin to reality shows with challenges and voting off characters. I'd want to make my own season and see how it stacks compared to the og show.

How'd you chose your username?

Shi means death in Japanese and its also the number 4 in that language. So it's an edgy word already for a 12 year old who's lucky numbers are all divisible by four. It's also the nickname of a character I love from 'Repo the Genetic Opera'

Daisy is my favorite flower and a name I find pretty.

Thus I combined the two and got basically what amounts to 'Death Daisy'. For an emo weeb kid that was like striking gold.

🍓 How did you get into writing fanfiction?

As a teen I was a voracious reader and tried to write my own stuff based on other books I'd read. I also loved ST:TNG and wanted dearly to be in an episode and had lots of the books. I wrote my own ST stories with OC's (gratuitous self inserts), but they never went anywhere. In my late teens I read some Xena fanfic on the internet. But that was it for a great number of years.

At the beginning of 2021 I sat and watched the entirety of the MCU films in chronological order (I'd seen most of them before and was mainly a Thor gal.) I fell down the Stucky rabbithole. Deep. I decided to look up fanfic. AO3 was now a thing! I wrote (a very poor) Stucky fic and here we are, almost 3 years later

🍇How many fandoms have you written in?

As my ST stuff never made it further than my parent's old PC in the days of dial-up, I won't count it.

I've written for MCU, various Chris Evans and Seb Stan Characters and one fic for RWRB. I've been toying with writing a one-off Criminal Minds fic as a gift for a friend.

Three in July since I first published anything on AO3.

🍎Do you read or write more fanfiction?

I try to balance it out. If I have a period of hyperfocus writing I try to then go through a period of reading. I read on both Tumblr and AO3, so try to keep that even as well.

🍌What is one way you've improved as a writer?

Getting betas to pick me up on tense changes, overuse of words and rogue commas. Reading more. Practising. Writing outlines for longer stories so I don't go off-piste.

🍑Do you have any bad habits as a writer?

Getting bored half-way through a long fic, especially if the first few parts haven't had a lot of interaction. Which is why I try to write the whole thing before I start posting.

🍍 What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Engineering courses at MIT and, for a separate fic, Violet wands, including the ways to use them and the differnt types of accessories you can use with them. I even watched a Youtube video.

🍉What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

Any comment! Anything that gives me the validation I need!

🍐What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?

I wrote a transformation into Tsum-tsum fic that was both cracky and smutty. That's pretty niche.

🥭What is the hardest type of story for you to write?

Action scenes. I loathe them. I'm constantly wondering if they are long enough, and make sense.

🍏What is the easiest type?

Short things that are either PWP or fluffy slices of life.

🍑Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?

Mainly on my elderly laptop on G-Docs, and in every moment I can - normally afterwork before dinner and on Mondays when I don't have work.

🍋What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?

There are a few characters and ships I haven't written that I'd like to. And I suppose I'd like to write a proper long, over 100k fic at some point.

When I made my AO3 account I felt as though that at 40, and only really starting in Fandom in this way, I was late to the party, so that is who I became.
