the weight of my emotions had been suffocating me for too long, i couldn't bear the burden any longer and finally decided to do it; to confess my feelings. the mere thought of it sent shivers down my spine. my stomach was in knots, and i couldn't tell if the sensation was caused by a swarm of butterflies or my organs colliding against each other. it's a nerve-wracking experience, but i hoped that it would be worth it in the end.

my feet led me to his building. hopefully, his roommate won't be there. i can't imagine the scene and i'm almost sure i would run away if Doyoung opened the door.

i have already smoked three cigarettes in the last 15 minutes.

my heart was pounding so hard that i could feel it in my throat as I looked up at the darkened building in front of me. the streetlights cast a golden glow, painting the surrounding area in a sickly yellow hue. i squinted, trying to make out any signs of life or activity in his apartment, but all i could see was darkness. i know it's 9pm, but come on, don't tell me he's sleeping.

hoping that he is not asleep, i throw away my cigarette and head towards the main entrance. i climb the stairs one by one, my brain emptying little by little with each step. i thought of using the elevator, but i'm almost convinced it would fill the emptiness in my head since there was no music playing in there.

as i walked down the hallway, only hearing the sound of my footsteps echoing on the walls, the nerves in my stomach churned. before i knew it, i was standing in front of his door. my hand trembled slightly as it rose to knock, but i managed to keep it steady. come on y/n.

i knocked my knuckles against the wood apprehensively, but there was no answer. after a few moments of hesitation, i decided to ring the doorbell, hoping that he would hear it and come to the door. i pressed the button lightly, waiting anxiously for a response. and then i realised. he's probably going to open the door, and after that, there is no going back.

i feel like time is dragging on and minutes feel like hours. i even consider turning back, he's probably sleeping or just not there.

as i breathe out and adjust my jacket, the door cracks open, and the apartment is engulfed in darkness. the light from the corridor reveals a slightly disheveled Taeyong, with swollen eyes, indicating that he was probably sleeping. i can't help but think how beautiful he looks.

"y/n? what are you doing here at this hour?" he said in a voice slightly broken by tiredness.

my heart accelerates. "come on, it's not that late, were you sleeping? did i wake you up?"

he shrugged his shoulders. "i was just taking a nap" his fingers fidget with the door he's holding. "but you're making me worried, what's the matter? a problem with Doyoung ?"

no Taeyong, your roommate is not the problem...

i swallow hard, my own thoughts getting stuck in my throat. i feel like a thousand waves of feelings are overflowing my brain. “i have something to tell you but it can wait until tomorrow if you're sleep-..”

what am i even saying? i got up from my comfortable bed, walked over here, and woke him up to tell him that it could wait until tomorrow? love is making me act up for real.

"you've already woken me up, so come in." he smiles. that cute smile. that damn smile.

i come in and put my jacket next to the sofa. Taeyong turns on the little light next to the tv, scratching his head right after, not hiding the loud yawn that escapes from his lips. his t-shirt and shorts whose colours are matched as usual, his lips pouting slightly, his small eyes. i'm down bad.

“tell me everything, do you want something to drink?”

i nod. "it'll be fine ! it won't last long... i..."

all of a sudden, i feel like my saliva is stuck, and i almost choke. Taeyong shoots me a concerned look. "hey, y/n, are you okay? i'm really worried. i feel like you're about to confess to me that you've committed a crime, and i have to help you cover it up." he chuckles.

i take a deep breath and shake my head. my hands are folded together and i'm playing with my thumb anxiously. i stare at my socks as if they could magically give me courage. the reason why i want to confess my feelings to him is because i've grown tired of constantly doubting myself. since this summer - and now that we're in winter - i've been thinking about him non-stop. his smile, his voice, the way he could talk about his fishes all day, or his new shoes and hats, and the way he laughs - everything about him makes me madly in love.

because if he rejects me, i can finally move on.

"Taeyong, i'll get straight to the point. i like you. i have had feelings for you since this summer. i fell in love with you, even though the word seems strong to me and i almost never use it. but that's the case. i know that coming to your place at this hour to tell you this is crazy, but i didn't really think about it that much and just followed my gut. gosh, it sounds so lame..." i smack my forehead, closing my eyes.

all my limbs begin to tremble.

a long silence settles in.

and my breathing jerks.

i keep my eyes closed anxiously.

"so, you... like me?"

his voice echoes softly in the room. i nod slowly, still unable to look him in the eyes.

all i hear is a scoff, followed by his cute laugh. i can't tell if he's genuinely laughing so hard that air gets stuck in his throat or if he's suffocating.

"i was planning on telling you on tuesday after class that i like you." he said with an amused voice.

my eyes widen this time.

"you what ?..."

"i like you."

he smiles.

 another rainy day made doyoung even sadder than he already was. whenever weather isn’t sunny, he feels very unmotivated. seems like weather and nature are against him today. 

“guys, have you heard?” mark lee, co-worker of doyoung, was shouting. “y/n was in an interview for times. her book became a bestseller in south korea and united states.”

 group of guys gave each other known look, and taeyong could only slap his friend arm, which was surprising for mark because he didn’t catch what he just said. mark was about to ask when he saw doyoung’s face. his older friend was looking away, pale and seems to be lost in thoughts.

“i heard of new restaurant being opened today. i think we all should go out for dinner after work.” johnny rolled his eyes at mark. “what do you think doyoung?”

“uhm?” he raised his eyes at johnny. “uh, yes sure.”

“then we’ll see at 7.”

“don’t think too much about it.” taeyong hugged his best friend. “we’re going out today so try to think about it. not about her.”

“i’ll try my best.”

 and with that, whole mood of doyoung was ruined. doyoung hated it, no matter where he is there’s always something which reminds him of you. last night he was walking by nigh club and some girl looked exactly like you. week ago he visited his mother on her birthday, and when he was buying flowers he noticed your favorite ones. no matter where he is, he hears as someone talks about you or your succes. 

“my mother made me go on a blind date.” jaehyun took a sip of his bear. “i swear to god, as soon as i heard that i had my head spinning. it’s not a first time my mother left me in a weird sitution.” jungwoo chuckled. “but besides that, i told her i don’t want to go so she yelled at me.”

“your mother is one and only, jaehyun.” taeil laughed. “i’m still waiting for her number tho.”

“taeil, shut the fuck up.” jaehyun gave him dirty look. “don’t try to hit on my mother, your dumbass.”

“did you go out or not?” haechan rolled his eyes. “be quicker with your silly story.”

“yes, i did.” he smiled proudly. “she told me, she won’t talk to me unless i try her out. we met few days ago, and surprisingly it went pretty good. she’s very nice, brave and smart. besides, she looks like a real life queen.”

“you hit a jeckpot.”

“yes, we’re going on next friday again.”

“am i the only single one?” jungwoo raised his hand while others laughed.

“no, me too.” yuta and haechan raised their hands.

“and me.” doyoung gave them little smile. “it’s feels great to be single again.”

“of course, being single is so fun. i don’t have to worry about doing anything, i don’t have to save money or remember stupid things.” haechan said with a smirk on his face. “and i am not a damn simp like some of you.”

 taeyong looked at younger friend in disbelief.

“it’s atucally sucks, i wish i had a girlfriend.” yuta pouted. “i feel like i should settle down.”

“good for you?” jungwoo laughed. “i am glad to be single, right?”

“amen.”

 doyoung was laughing along with his friends but he couldn’t pay much attention to whatever they were talking about. again, his mind was all foggy of your image. almost like you’re here with him. just two of you, together and happy in your own, small world.

 life’s writing the crulest scenarios for some of people, and doyoung was now one of them. life with you was magical. both of you were meant for each other, and there was much of happines. maybe two of you were too close to the stars? maybe both of you were too good for each other, so that’s why you had to part your ways. 

 sun down at glade was the last time doyoung and you have spoke.

“i love you.” doyoung kissed you, while you were talking about your new idea for a book. “i’m sorry to interrupt you now, but it’s really important.”

“of course, go on.”

“i can’t be with you anymore. i just hold you back, look at me. i’m doing very bad in my life, and i wish to disapear.” your eyes were watering. “i’ve tried everything and my fatigue only made it worse for us. i don’t want you to spend your life besides someone who can never find peace.”

“doyoung, what are you talking about? i don’t care, you’re my happines. you’re my world and i don’t mind you at all.”

 you tried to hug your boyfriend but he backed off.

“i, i-i don’t know what else to say. i want you to be happy.”

“i am honest. i want all the best for you, so please.” he stood up. “let’s stop talking to each other. let us be past.”

“doyoung, but i can’t. i love you too much.”

“i love you too, but you can’t waste time with me. you’‘re going to be big one day while i stay me. small kim doyoung.”

 since that day nothing was the same. your life turned upside down. few years of solid relationship with your love and it’s gone. like someone broke the balloon you were living in. 

 past two months you had hopes he’d call. doyoung would show up with his lovely smile, and you could talk for another nonsense for hours again. doyoung would hug you and review your stories. that;s all you wanted. he could reach out but he never did. 

 there wasn’t second person like kim doyoung. seems like a confident guy but deep down he has his own battles. he’s shy person who can talk about serious stuff only to his closest friends. someone you can count on whenever you needs to. he had never let you down. he had weird hobbies, and amazing voice. his singing made you feel like on a cloud nine. 

 he should, could but he never would do whatever you were dreaming about. for you it was his cruel behaviour but you didn’t get to chance to know other side of doyoung. 

he was hurt deep down. he believed and gaslighted himself into thinking he’s bringing you down. doyoung’s bad days were worse, and he thought only about you. about how he’s not good enough. how empty he can be. 

“i’d watch match. today’s barcelona versus real madrid.” jungwoo whines. “please, johnny can you turn tv on?”

“sure dude.”

 johnny turned tv on, and there was break between match. some ads come in, and no one paid attention until familiar voice was heard.

“i wrote it book in a month to be fair. i had much more content to create but events that have happened during my writing process, lead me to write new story. i was writing day, night for a whole month. i can tell you, that main character is pretty much mirror of my feelings and situations.”

“so, you’re admitting that story of anne and daniel happened in real life? based on a true feelings?”

“yes, that’s true. i wrote that book with though of some boy who is very close to my heart.”

“i’m so sorry.” interviewer gasped. “i had no idea that so sad story would happen in real life. wasn’t it tough? as we all know, there was no happy end for daniel and anne.”

“of course it was. i hope one day, ‘daniel’ read the book and think about all the good times we spent together. i miss him still and..” you stopped. “and that’s it.”

 interview ended due to match. doyoung’s heart was pounding while everyone was speechless. you were literally everywhere and now you were talking about how your book was inspired by yours realtionship.

“i wish she could come back. i want to fix things-”

“doyoung, she’s-”

“no. i don’t care. i miss her so much.”

 doyoung broke down which surprised majority of guys. they tried their best to stop their friend from crying which was pointless. kim doyoung is madly in love, and he’s waiting until you come back but there’s no much chance.

A/N: I just hate how I love and hate this fic so much. @mirohtron is to blame, the reason I am stuck in my eternal hero x villain feels. I love writing this more than anything. It's quite personal as it reflects a lot of things I personally felt about the world around me haha.

This entire series is dedicated to @lebrookestore, a simp I l*ve with all my heart (even after what she does to me with all her fics ;-;)

The breath you were holding in for what seemed like ages escaped your lips. It was long, exhausted- a little frustrated, even. You hated waiting. And if it were the roof of just one of the thousands of skyscrapers in Seoul, the annoyance was definitely a little more. Waiting alone in those uneventful places was nothing but a mere waste of your time. There was nothing small enough to ruin or blowup for funsies, and you weren't heartless enough to blow up a whole building just out of sheer boredom.

It had been a tiresome day already. You'd attended classes, fed some cats on the way back to your lair and put up yet another power show to let people know they still had something to be afraid of. The air was unnervingly humid today, and your suit had stuck to your torso as if it were a drowning person who didn't know how to swim- holding onto a log of wood for dear life. Weird comparison (or metaphor, you couldn’t be arsed to even get it right), but you weren't the most poetic person.

You wondered how Taeyong would describe it. Sticky? Ew? You didn't know. He was one unpredictable being, well at least when he wasn't in his superhero suit (figuratively, he was just dumb and tended to miss a lot of shots when he puts on the crimson and black piece of clothing). Maybe he would just come up with a random word and try to make you believe it was real. He couldn't possibly lose to a villain! And especially not after what you did today. You could bet that the first thing he was going to do was sulk about you almost burning his perfect eyebrows to ashes during today's face-off.

You loved to see your enemy getting all riled up more than you'd admit. Maybe it was the villain inside you speaking. But his desperate attempts at winning an argument or the pout when he complained about causing the least damage to you were just too serotonin inducing.

When did he become such a big part of my life- you smile to yourself.

Truth to be told, he always had been one of the biggest parts of it. Whether you wanted to admit it or not.

"I'm sorry," a voice trails off right behind you, breathless, "I got-"

"Stuck in a bad traffic," you complete his sentence, your tone mocking and eyes trained on the night sky. The statement was his go-to excuse for when he’d show up late- which was almost every other day.

"Too busy trying to pick out a nice bandaid for you."

He corrects, leaning against the railing. You almost scoff at how cocky the hero sounded. You were supposed to be the cocky one here.

"Whatever."

And with that, for what seemed like an entire eternity, the both of you spent the time together in silence. He didn’t dare to mouth a single word- and neither did you. There was no malice behind what any of you wanted to say; but you didn’t even know what was holding you both back. It was becoming a habit, to be honest. Well, not in general because you still were very vocal about your own opinions everywhere else-- but not in the (almost regular) meetings with your arch nemesis.

Ironic how the both of you had so much to say when the cameras were flashing and the world he tried to protect watched. So many curses, insults, edgy slash extremely cocky remarks and frustrated warnings. But at times such as right now, your mind felt like a blank slate that had never been touched. It was comfortable though, no malice, no screaming- just comfort and some sort of warmth you hadn’t felt in ages.

Well, you were always the kind of person who thought, thinking before speaking was highly overrated (that too, was a product of capitalism in your opinion). And thus, you figured staying quiet at the forbidden rendezvous with your arch nemesis would be the best thing. He was a servant of the so-called good, after all. Righteous, sophisticated, well known and way too fragile for your own good.

“Everything’s okay,” you hear him break the silence.

“Huh?”

The hero smiles, spinning around on his heels to point at your surroundings.

“Intact, not a scratch!”

And as if the small toothy grin he’d been sporting was infectious, you felt a sudden urge to break into one as well. Anyone would mistake him for just another college student if they saw him like this, in a pair of washed denim and a shirt that he must've been wearing for the past ten days. More so, it would've been terribly difficult to believe that the otherwise calm and composed public charmer Onyxate talked like a kindergartener, always fumbling or just too excited to even properly finish his sentences at times.

“What is that supposed to mean, mr. onyxate?” you ask, biting back a smile.

Disappointed, the hero clicks his tongue. He grabs hold of your wrist, spinning your frame around as well. The brunet scans the surroundings again, “You actually didn’t blow out a single thing! That is some progress, I say.”

You scoff at his remark, “I am not that heartless, mr. hero.” But deep inside, you did know it was some kind of a progress, and of course, you wouldn't tell him that.

He chuckles, but doesn’t remind you of the time you did, as a matter of fact, had blown up a nearby water tank while waiting. He was like that, Taeyong loved believing in a better present- rather than an awful past.

The comfortable arms of silence yet again engulfs you into a warm hug. Taeyong silently studies the cuts on your hand, his slender fingers carefully caressing them. You almost let out a sound of sheer amusement as he finally takes out a few strips of band-aids he took so long to buy, the infamous printed medigrip ones for kids (that too the ones with spongebob on them), rips the adhesive, and focuses on nursing the now dry cuts.

You then look up to catch a glimpse of Taeyong’s face, just to find the moonlight washing his features in all its grace. Faint neon lights from the buildings surrounding blending with the moonlight to create hues across his profiles.You stop to admire his countenance and insides alike, thinking how someone could be so kind even to their enemy.

He was so pure, so charming. He had those beautiful brown eyes. The ones that were like a mirror which knew nothing but to reflect his innermost emotions, the ones that knew to see the best in everyone- including you, a villain who had spent more than half of her life cursing all things good. His trained hands were still gentle and soft unlike any other hero you had ever known. Tears well up in your eyes. And for once what seemed like a lifetime- you decided to let yourself get overcome with emotions.

He was the kind of person anyone, including you, couldn’t help but fall for, the kind of person you’d want to hold close to yourself, no matter what.

And it was at that moment that you realised that it wasn’t hate that you felt towards him, but admiration.

i'm bored so this is how i imagine some of the neos (my biases) as frat boys...very quickly thought out but was inspired by hendery LOL

wasn’t even willing to join when taeyong asked

honestly, he didn’t even know how frats worked until taeyong legitimately had to drag him to the rushes

probably is the one who takes care of everyone in the house

makes lunches for them

during a party

he’d probably have eyes on every single expensive item in the house

either that or he’s properly hidden everything away so that no damage could be done

after every party, he complains the most

because he has to clean the house

and everything that anybody touched

does his absolute best to keep the place sanitary and liveable

but ends up falling victim to donghyuck’s “fireball gigantum” aftermath at least once a month

basically, hyuck makes the strongest most scrutinizing fireball in the history of man

and downs maybe 6 shots before he’s hunched over the kitchen table

shitting tears and throwing up like there’s no tomorrow

and the rest of the mess is for doyoung to clean

jung jaehyun:

willingly signed up during the rush

loves the party scene and fits the frat boy agenda everyone gives him

but lowkey a sweetheart

like he would NEVER play a girl/guy/anybody

if he’s not interested, he would simply tell you

trying not to hurt your feelings though

and

he barely talks

but when he does everyone is listening

has a really simple room

honestly kinda neat for a frat boy

during a party

he’d be the wallflower

people would come looking for him

not the other way around

joined a frat for the experience because he felt like he was missing out

ended up making pretty solid bonds with his brothers

but also ended up realizing how much he hated parties and the hangovers

Welcome to this semi-chaotic, passive aggressive post. I spent a good hour on this, so you mfs better read.

I've decided to combine these two posts, considering they go hand in hand, so bear with me.

I've been here for a month, and I've made so many new friends, read some amazing fics, and actually made friends with some of my writing inspirations themselves, which I cant even begin to comprehend so I won't try.

I've released four fics, two were shorter, but the ones I'm really proud of- Little Princess and Poison and Petals-i still can't believe I sat my ass down and started writing. This year has been a shit one, but never would I have thought I would start writing fanfiction. Let alone the long ass fics I write please.

So hitting 100 followers is even more of a foreign concept, but thank you so much! I'm bewildered that people actually ready my shit and the fact some want to be tagged in stuff, and the fact it's only been a month? What is reality-

And some of y'all see my shit posts and deal with me- to that I say God bless you and your patience. You have to be some sort of heavenly being amen.

Honestly, some of y'all actually helped me through a lot of shit, and some even encouraged me with my first fic, which was the start of these shenanigans( whether this was a good idea or not, we shall never know)

Another underrated writer, her fics are really good too, and she was the one who encouraged me to start the net, and gave me the idea of a dark cafe aesthetic. She always gives me honest, actually helpful feedback a d if probably the first person I'd go to for said feedback. She deserves way more credit for her writing, its amazing, and her poetry? @ppangjae literally one of my biggest inspos for writing, I read seven letters and was inspired to pick up little princess again after it was sitting dying in a dark corner of google Docs for three days. Alex is so sweet, she didn't mind my chaotic awkward ass, and dealt with the long ass asks and the dozen of messages I sent her.

@kdongyoung ro is so sweet and chaotic I love it. Her edits are *chefs kiss* and she made my beautiful header which I will flex everytime I get the chance. We've not talked that much, but I still love you okay.
