꒰ 사랑𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆: 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐧. 🫀
002: she fell in front of her sunbaenim 🤓
It wasn’t until a week later that you met the other actors and actresses in the film.
Your manager, Hongseok, had cleared pretty much your entire schedule so the rest of PRISM was out promoting while you were waiting awkwardly at the film studio, straightening out your white skirt and thinking of what to say to Sunghoon.
After all, you did kind of audition for Belift as a joke. You were really into Enhypen and Newjeans, so you sent in your singing and dancing tape thinking you weren’t going to get picked anyway. You did, though.
“Hi, sorry I’m late!” The all too familiar Australian accent pops out of nowhere, and your breathing is 10 times rapid knowing exactly who it belonged to. Pham Hanni from Newjeans.
“No worries!” You say, almost choking on the piece of bread you were taking a bite out of. “Greetings sunbaenim!”
You bow but Hanni shakes her head quickly, “ah.. no need. I read your profile, you’re a year older than me, so if anything, I should be the one saying the formalities.”
You don’t get to say anything else before the Park Sunghoon and Kim Gyuvin walk in.
Oh my God. You internally think. You almost have to hold back from fainting because how the hell are you in the presence of Hanni, Gyuvin, and Sunghoon at the same time?!
“This is our main cast,” the director says, who your manager has told you to refer to as Director Jung. “We have a few more idols but they’ll be in and out between episodes.”
The four of you nod, you suddenly feeling so small when in the same room as your talented sunbaenims.
“Today is just introduction and get to know each other day since I know this was probably brought up upon you guys suddenly and it can seem overwhelming and uncomfortable.” Director Jung smiles, showing off his bright white teeth.
“The drama is a romance one, kind of like an American coming to age except Korean, you know? It’s called Parallel Love. The main character, Baek Yunhee is played by Yoon Y/N as you all know.” He then points towards your direction, making the other 3 idols all turn their attention to you. “Yunhee’s love interest is Min Suho, played by Park Sunghoon. The reason I chose the two of you was because you were exactly how I pictured Yunhee and Suho visually and I feel like you would astound me and the viewers with your acting.”
Your eyes subtly peek at Sunghoon, who looks absolutely glorious despite his messy hair and tired eyes. The engene inside of you screamed, but you masked it by biting the inside of your cheek.
“Now, the main female antagonist is Choi Sanghee, which will be played by Pham Hanni. The main male antagonist is Park Wooseok, played by Kim Gyuvin. Sanghee and Wooseok are somewhat love interests, but they’re also Yunhee and Suho’s biggest rivals.”
The rest of Director Jung’s words went from one of your ear and out another as he kept speaking, your vision instead focused on Park Sunghoon.
“Alright, that’s all I have to say! Any questions?”
There’s a few murmurs but no one says anything, so Director Jung hands the four of you individual scripts that were so thick you could slap a person with it.
“It’s time to take the poster photos so let’s get to work guys. Don’t disappoint me.”
Way to not pressure an idol who’s life is already hectic, you think.
synopsis. you’re a newly debuted girl group under belift, and in order for your group to gain more popularity, your ceo offered you the lead role in a new romance kdrama. this all seems great, so what’s the problem? well, for starters, your co star is your senior, park sunghoon from enhypen, and he doesn’t seem too happy about being in a romance drama. especially when your fans have started to ship the two of you!

That's no stomach bug
Fandom: Stray Kids
Sickie: Jeongin (?)
Caregiver: Chan (alpha)
After struggling for quite some time during the survival show, Jeongin finds himself feeling increasingly sick. Since he can't get a hold of his mother, he decides on his next best option and dials Chan instead.
No one's POV.:
As Stray Kids battled through the survival show, they already emotionally prepared themselves to form a pack with Chan as their pack-alpha after their debut. There was one more hurdle aside from the threat of eliminations though. One of the members hadn't presented yet. Though the age difference between Jeongin and Seungmin was pretty small, Seungmin had already presented as a beta two years ago, while Jeongin still had no clue what his secondary gender would be and how it would fit into their dynamics as a group. Chan had once asked the maknae about it, worried why the boy still hadn't presented. Brushing it off, Jeongin declared that he had already seen a doctor about it and it was determined that he was just a late bloomer. It wasn't entirely the truth but the leader didn't need to know that. Since Jeongin's mother too had been concerned, the boy did see a doctor, who determined that it was the trainee lifestyle that was messing with his body and threw his hormones off balance.
As Jeongin tried to juggle school and training, he barely got any sleep. He always had to practice after school, oftentimes till late into the night before having to get up early to attend his classes. The excessive amount of physical activity from the endless hours of dancing combined with the strict diet he had been following to prepare for his debut, put further strain on his body but the only way to solve this problem would be to give up on this career path and choose something boring and less stressful. Jeongin wasn't willing to give up. So what if it took longer for him to present? Still he hated to make people worry about him, which was why he never told the other members why he hadn't presented yet. The one most worried about the boy, was his mom. After the members had moved into a dorm together, she had no way of looking after her son and feared that he would cut down on food even more, now that she wasn't there to remind him to eat. Jeongin himself was excited about their new living arrangement. He was rooming with Jisung and realized that although the rapper was often loud and overly confident, often picking fights, it was all a front and the older often doubted himself. When they talked before sleep, Jeongin found a good friend in his hyung because the other took the time to listen to him.
Chan was also of great help to Jeongin. He knew how tough it had to be on their youngest, who often wasn't able to attend practices due to his classes, so the Aussie met up with him in the evenings to practice together, as did Hyunjin whenever he had the time to. On one of those nights, when Chan and Jeongin stayed in the practice room for hours, completely missing out on dinner, the maknae kept messing up the same sequence of steps. With how tired he was, he was ready to cry from frustration. He had felt even more fatigued than usual over the past few days and in truth, his stumbling came from how lightheaded he felt. When Jeongin once again lost his balance, Chan caught him by the arm and helped him to sit down, frowning: "You okay?" The younger only nodded, harshly scrubbing at his eyes, knowing if he tried to talk a sob would be all that came out, so he held back.
Fetching the younger's water bottle, Chan made him drink a few sips and asked: "Truthfully, how do you feel, Innie?" His dongsaeng shakily placed the bottle on the floor and shrugged. "I'm really sore from all the dancing this past week but I can't stop till I get this right", Jeongin admitted, his voice trembling as he tried to force a smile, "I know I have no right to complain because all of you sleep even less than me but I'm so tired." – "You have every right to complain", Chan stated quietly, "All of us are tired, yeah, but that doesn't mean that your experience isn't valid. How about we go and eat something? Sure, we will choose something healthy that won't completely mess up our diet but if you don't eat well, you'll only get sorer as time passes." Sniffling softly, Jeongin shook his head and played with a loose string on his shirt. Not daring to look the leader in the eye, the younger admitted: "I don't really have an appetite but I'd love to sleep. Can we try to quickly do a few more run-throughs only till I get it right and then go back to the dorm?" – "No", Chan said bluntly, making Jeongin's chest tighten before continuing, "We won't do another run-through. You're exhausted, I don't think that pushing yourself further will help you get it right. Let's go back, so you can get some rest and we can try again tomorrow." Defeated, Jeongin accepted but he felt so ashamed, that he remained quiet as they headed back to their dorm. Jisung was still out when the younger went to bed, making him feel even worse about going to bed earlier than the others.
When Jeongin woke up the following morning to get ready for class, his muscles were on fire, which wasn't surprising but still annoying. It felt like he hadn't gotten any rest before his alarm rang, forcing him out of bed. Still having no appetite, Jeongin skipped breakfast and sluggishly made his way to school. The morning passed in a blur, the boy barely paying attention in class. He simply couldn't. His mind too muddled to really make much sense. During lunch, his friends forced him to eat but the boy only had a small serving of rice. He wasn't hungry, which was weird, considering how long it had been since he had last eaten something. On his way to his afternoon class, Jeongin's vision suddenly swam as his ears rang. Stumbling, he sank into a crouch with his back against the closest wall, afraid he was about to faint. It took a few moments of Jeongin breathing deeply for him to get his bearings but it had given his classmate a scare. No matter how many times Jeongin repeated that he was fine, the other insisted that he smelled wrong but was brushed off. Jeongin didn't have the energy to think about his situation right now. He just wanted to get his school day over with, so he could head to the company building to his evening vocal lesson. He was planning to practice his vocals for another hour after his lesson before meeting up with Chan to go over his dancing again to make up for the previous evening.
That was easier said than done though. By the time class was over, Jeongin was ready to drop but he knew he had to keep going. He took a taxi to the company building, palming his tummy under his shirt as the ride made him feel queasy and he was glad when the driver pulled up outside the building and he had solid ground under his feet again. For the briefest moment, he stumbled but quickly made his way inside, afraid he'd be late for his lesson. To Jeongin's surprise, his vocal teacher asked him if he felt alright, nodding suspiciously when the boy claimed to feel fine. The exhaustion was evident in Jeongin's voice, as it came out flat with barely any emotion behind his words.
Frustratingly, the faint hint of nausea he had developed during the drive there, still hadn't disappeared by the end of his lesson, his teacher leaving him with the cryptic sentence that sick-days were a perfectly normal thing and that many people took them. It confused Jeongin because he wasn't sick, was he? He was just tired and sleep deprived. Sure, it kept him from achieving best results but it wasn't an excuse to miss out on practice. He barely had enough time to practice as it was, so no way he'd give up more. As he tired to practice on his own though, Jeongin increasingly struggled. His stomach was in knots, making it difficult for him to breathe deeply enough to sing. His voice was tense with pain and when his skin suddenly flashed hot and he broke into a sweat, he reconsidered his teacher's words. Maybe he was sick but had been too out of it to realize. When the next cramp hit, Jeongin drew his legs up to his chest and gritted his teeth. It hurt so badly, he could barely breathe and it scared him. Weakly gasping for air when the cramp finally let up, the boy fanned his face with his hands. How could he feel so hot all of a sudden?
Jeongin tried to text his mother but got no reply as she was at work still. Glancing at the time, he realized that he was supposed to meet up with Chan in less than ten minutes. Dialing the leader's number, Jeongin waited anxiously for the older to pick up and startled when he finally did. "Hey, what's up?", Chan asked cheerfully, frowning when he heard the younger whimper. Drawing a shaky breath, Jeongin admitted: "H-Hyung, I- I think I might be- I might be sick." – "Why, what's wrong?", the older worried, saving with work. "Stomach bug I think", the maknae forced out between gritted teeth, "My- My tummy really hurts." – "Oh dear, did you throw up?", Chan inquired. Jeongin shook his head before remembering that the other couldn't see him and quietly denying. Turning his phone on speaker while he packed up his things, the Aussie hummed: "Did you eat anything yet? You've been skipping a lot of meals recently, so it might be hunger pains." – "I had some rice for lunch and I- I think I have a fever", the younger whimpered, biting the cuff of his sleeve to silence the pained noises. Still, Chan was able to hear the muffled sob on the other end of the line, pressing: "Where are you? I'll come and get you, yeah? I just need to know where you are." Telling the leader the studio number he was at, Jeongin hung up the phone and really started to cry.
As his mind grew increasingly fuzzy, Jeongin got out of his chair and swayed dizzily. A strong smell hung in the studio, making the boy's stomach turn as his heart raced. Feeling increasingly anxious, the makane backed himself into a corner and sank to the floor, where he curled up tightly. His hand found its way under his shirt as he tried to soothe the pain in his tummy but it was to no avail. It kept cramping as sweat coated Jeongin's forehead and he startled when he heard steps outside the studio door. By the time, Chan arrived at the studio, his dongsaeng had completely sweat through his shirt and the alpha froze in the doorway. The air was thick with a sweet scent, making it hard to breathe and forcing the Aussie to cover his face with his sleeve as he approached his dongsaeng.
When he was only a few steps away, Jeongin growled at him, startling not only his hyung but also himself. He had no idea he was capable of making such sounds. Defensively raising his hands, Chan hummed: "It's okay, Innie. I'm not gonna hurt you." The maknae still eyed him wearily as he took a seat on the floor a few steps away. "That's no stomach bug", the older said softly, trying his hardest to sound calm as he breathed through his mouth, "You're in heat, Innie. Seems like you finally presented, little omega." The pet name made Jeongin's mind grow even fuzzier and he blinked at Chan through tears. Mewling softly, Jeongin made grabby hands at the alpha. His scent was comforting and made the boy feel safe, so it should be considered a crime that he stayed so far away. Though surprised by the sound, Chan slowly scooted closer and eventually opened his arms. Jeongin instantly curled up against the leader's chest sniffing him shyly. The older giggled, running his fingers through his dongsaeng's hair. Realizing it was damp with sweat, Chan hummed: "We should really get you home, hm? You can have a nice warm bath and after you ate a bite, I'll find you some painkillers to help with the cramps."
After giving Chan a few more sniffs, Jeongin started kneading the leader's tummy, which made the alpha tense. What was the boy doing? Cuddling closer, the omega shoved his face into the crook of Chan's neck and nosed at his scent glands. "What's going on, pup?", the older cooed, stroking Jeongin's back lightly, which earned him a quiet purr from the boy. Whining in pain and frustration, Jeongin pouted: "Icky." – "Mhm, you're all sweaty and I bet your tummy doesn't feel nice right now, huh?", Chan agreed with a sympathetic smile, "You wanna wear hyung's hoodie till we're home?" It was the first time the alpha had referred to their dorm as home and it made Jeongin feel all warm inside. This was his pack, his home. "Smells nice", the maknae pleaded with an eager nod but wasn't too happy when Chan had to pull away so he could take off his hoodie. He was glad though when he could trade his own sweaty shirt for the alpha's hoodie, already feeling a little less disgusting. That didn't mean that he was eager to leave the studio though. There were people out there and the omega wasn't really in a people-y mood right now.
"Okay, do you think you can walk or do you want me to carry you?", Chan asked when Jeongin was changed into his hoodie. Anxiously pulling the sleeves over his hands, the maknae mouthed: 'Walk.' He knew that being carried would draw attention and he just wanted to hide and make it to the safety of his dorm room as fast as possible. When he struggled to his feet though, the omega was hit with a cramp, doubling over and stumbling as his legs didn't cooperate. Chan caught him around the waist, rubbing his back until the cramp let up before pulling his dongsaeng onto his back. The leader's protective instincts had hit full force and there was no way the boy would walk if it made the pain worse. Whimpering softly, Jeongin nuzzled his face into the crook of Chan's neck from behind and nosed at the alpha's scent glands. The leader's scent was so comforting and it seemed to soothe the pain a little. It also helped the omega to ignore the prodding eyes as they made their way to the exit and into a taxi that would take them back home. During the drive, Chan used Jeongin's bunched up shirt to dab the sweat off the younger's forehead.
After carefully kicking off his shoes, Chan carried Jeongin straight to the bathroom and placed him onto the rug before starting to fill the tub with warm water. "I'll go fetch you some fresh clothes in a moment", the leader announced, "I know you feel hot, so the water isn't too warm, just warm enough to help with the aches. You still feel sore, don't you?" Jeongin nodded pathetically, pouting: "Can I- Can I borrow one of your shirts? They smell nice." Any other day, he would've felt embarrassed but right now, he couldn't care less. "Of course, anything else you need?", Chan cooed, digging a neutral soap out of a bathroom drawer. Felix had once mentioned hating scented toiletry products when he was in heat because the scent would be overwhelming.
While Jeongin was soaking in the tub, tiredly washing the sticky sweat off his skin, Chan prepared a small bowl of rice along with a few fried eggs and made the younger a cup of tea. He was just about to take everything to Jeongin's room when, two arms snaked around his waist from behind and the omega cuddled up to his back. "Hey there", the leader chuckled, turning around to cup Jeongin's flushed cheek, "I made you something to eat, so you can take some painkillers." Nodding in acknowledgement, the maknae leant further into his hyung's arms and took a deep breath of the other's calming scent. He was sleepy and out of it, so Chan guided him to the dining table and placed the food in front of him. Pulling his legs up on his chair, Jeongin tiredly nibbled the food the alpha had prepared for him and accepted the pill the older handed him, washing it down with a few sips of tea. When he was done, Chan carried the maknae to his room and placed him down on his bed, where the boy started to fuss with his pillows. "Let me go grab some stuff, yeah?", the leader cooed but Jeongin didn't pay him any mind as he was arranging his nest.
When Chan returned, he was carrying his own blanket and a few shirts. Jeongin's head instantly shot up and he stared at the alpha as the scent registered in his brain. The older was about to ask Jeongin whether he wanted those for his nest but before he got the chance, the younger had already snatched them from him, purring as he kneaded them in his hands. Taking a seat in his dongsaeng's desk chair, Chan watched in awe as the omega built his nest. Jeongin was still inexperienced when it came to nesting, which wasn't surprising considering he had presented so much later than most others, but he was quite proud of his nest and looked up at Chan expectantly. "Good job, pup", Chan praised as he walked up next to his dongsaeng's bed, patting the boy's head, "It looks so cozy, hm?" Jeongin only pouted, reaching for the alpha's arm and tugging on his sleeve. "You want me to join you?", the alpha asked carefully, not wanting to overstep any boundaries. He didn't have to worry though as Jeongin pulled him into his nest and curled up on the leader's chest, demanding: "Innie! Cuddles! Now!"

Enhypen Theory- Ruins & Rituals
So I've been watching Given/Taken alot lately for writing purposes and am curious about something....
What's with the weird monument?
The beginning of the video starts with Jungwon standing in a desert with a bleeding nose, but we don't see this scenery again until the third "arc" of the music video, when the rest of the boys join him and immitate firing arrows at this broken monument of some kind- we later see them at night, dressed in their uniforms, dancing in front of it- though before this Jungwon is seen again slowly burning from (presumably) the sunlight
But... what is it? What's the significance and why does the video open there? Why are they firing arrows? There are just so many questions and I, personally, haven't really seen this part of G/T addressed yet so I'm going to take a shot at it for my first HYBE theory! (I actually have been *following* HYBE theories for a few months now but I'm new to K-Pop in general so I've been quiet until now)
First, it's important to note that it stands out as odd from the rest of the video
The beginning and middle of the video have two primary locations with similar but still considerably different vibes-
Old fashioned clothes, indoors, a sense of containment and "other"ness, even though they aren't the same, you can still feel the connection to eachother- but that's completely removed in the desert scenes, wich are outdoors, in modern clothing, and present the boys with more individuality (IE: lacking uniforms)
And it makes me wonder if the ruins they're visiting are of their old testing facility
Let me break it down a bit better-
The two primary locations we see other than these ruins are a mansion-wich I'll, possibly incorrectly, refer to as "the orphanage" henceforth- and a testing/containment/research facility of some sort
At first I wondered if the ruins were simply the orphanage but that's clearly not the case as you can see the exterior of the mansion in one of the snapshots early on, it's very different looking- even the shape is extremely different, and it seems to be in a forest just below a hill, not in the middle of a desert
What about the other place though? The facility- as I'll call it from here on- doesn't have the same deniability
In fact, we see a very similarly shaped building to the ruins during one of the snapshots, but we don't have any clear indication of what it is, why would it just randomly be there? Unless, ofcourse, it isn't random
Initially I assumed the orphanage and the facility were the same place because the boys are wearing the uniforms in both locations, but I'm starting to think that isn't the case, and that the boys were moved to the facility after being experimented on at the orphanage
The thing is that vampires don't always turn when they're given the venom/virus/blood/whatever-it-is-that-turns them, and when this substance is manmade or engineered somehow, it takes even less frequently, this is true of all supernaturals, and again, is emphasized when the people attempting to make the transitions are humans experimenting with forces beyond their understanding, so it's typical of these practioners to have large "sample sizes" of potential experiments, often turning to hospitals, schools, and orphanages (to name a few) seeking the few candidates that can survive and thrive under these new conditions- from there they'll experiment on all of them until they get the desired result, and those select few will move on in the process to the next step
Sound familiar at all? I think this is further representative of the idol industry
We know that a big theme of Enhypen's storyline is going against the toxic nature of the idol industry, with songs like "Not For Sale" and "Mixed Up", and themes like being museum or display peices in "Let Me In", and the process of a large group of young boys being picked through and groomed until there are only a few left standing, who are then taken away from the "orphanage" and brought to a more intense experimentation/testing facility, sounds alot like idol-potentials who are on talent shows, win, and then assigned to a group and agency who put them through intense preperation for their debut
We know Enhypen went through that exact process on I-Land, so it's not a stretch to say this may be what they're referencing
But back to the ruins
You can see a definite difference in the way the orphanage looks vs the facility, wile the orphanage is a western style mansion that looks like it came from the late Victorian era- though, as Laina Sunflower pointed out, it does seem to have some modern conveniences like pen lights and electric fans- (the person conducting the experiments is also wearing a face mask, wich looks more modern from what I can tell)
-the facility is seemingly more modern than that, and has a much less homey feel, resembling instead a more containment type of vibe- large areas of open space, large glass windows dividing one from another, and the boys all seem to have their own rooms to keep separated from eachother, very unlike the mansion where you can probably safely assume that they share rooms, as unlike the sleek, minimal style of the facility, is cluttered with children's toys, furnishings, and accents, and you get the vibe that the boys are allowed around eachother often, the entire feel is more casual, and considering the number of tables in the dining room, you can also safely assume that there are many more inhabitants of the orphanage than just Enhypen themselves, meaning that it's more likely they share rooms
We know what the outside of the mansion looks like, but we don't have as definitive of a space for the facility
Wile the tower in the snapshot is a bit different in shape from the ruins, they're similar enough, and the landscape is notably perfect for a facility containing baby vampires- a barren desert devoid of the one thing they need most (blood) and full of the one thing that can most harm them (sunlight), it would be like keeping Superman in a chamber beneath the red sun surrounded by kryptonite, there's very little chance of them escaping
There's also something particularly strange about the ruins, in that there's a LADDER hanging off of one side leading to the top of the facility
The entire set up reminds me of the vampire facility in True Blood, and I wouldn't be surprised if the facility had this peculiar setup to make it even more difficult on the boys to possibly escape, I wouldn't even be surprised if these ruins are only a small portion of what's been left, maybe the original facility was a little in tune with the building from the snapshots before whatever happened to it... happened
There's also some other things I want to point out with this line of thought-
Sunghoon is kept in a room filled with orange light at one point, sitting on the edge of a bathtub-?- when his hand catches on fire
Some have theorized that this is Sunghoon's power, just like other boys have the power to levitate, hypnotize, and teleport, but what if that isn't it? What if that was the facility testing him in a room full of manufactured sunlight to see if he indeed burns in the sun? True Blood, again, has a similar theme (and it wouldn't be unusual for HYBE to draw influences from other popular media, what with TXT's frequent Harry Potter references)
Additionally, could this be in part about their escape from the facility? We see the boys make a running motion as though they're trying to get away, only to stop
We see something almost exactly the same in "Fever", but this time they succeed in seeming to go through the door to their freedom
I also wonder if the Victorian style clothing vs the French Roccoco style clothing is meant to show that there was a large gap between the time they were originally imprisoned and the time they got out?
This also fits with "Drunk Dazed", we see the mystery woman before the boys, still in their Rococo style clothes, performing a "ritual of blood" by pouring blood into the fountain, could the boys have been rescued, found, or "adopted" by **real** vampires after their, probable, human experiments? If the French Rococo style represents the boys during their escape period, this could make senses, and could also serve to explain, to a degree, their blood festivities in the first place
This doesn't make alot of sense though in terms of timing as the Victorian era is around two hundred years *after* the French Rococo period, so unless it's symbolic....
But I've wondered about the weird contrast between the boys being experimented into vampirism vs being turned naturally, as the mystery woman seems to heavily implicate that she herself is a vampire and that she's showing the boys a "natural" ritual, something that's part of the vampire community/species/way of life, but this is a giant contrast to the more clinical, experimentation vibe of what the boys had been going through in their orphanage/facility days; I'm reminded again of True Blood here, as well as "Bitten", "Servamp" (the manga), and plenty of others where the older, stronger vampires (or werewolves) free the younger ones from human captivity
Things I still haven't figured out or that I find most notable:
-Jungwon seems seperated from the others the most here, he's the one at the beginning with the nosebleed and the one catching on fire- something that doesn't happen to any of the other boys- and in one of the flashbacks he's the one standing outside of the orphanage banging on the window as the others go about their routines, and in “Fever” he’s the one left behind/last in line when everyone is running towards the door, he seems to be the "main" charector in Given/Taken, as he's the last one on screen revealing what everyone suspected: that they're vampires; he's also the one with teleportation, most prominantely seen in Drunk/Dazed, flittering around outside the room where Sunoo is pouring his blood into his glass and coming in between the two groups of three who, according again to Laina Sunflower, seem to be at odds with eachother
-Sunoo is also the one seen to be biting (or attempting to bite) Jungwon, this could be a really interesting nod to their relationship, the two seem to be connected in a special way (is this why Jungwon is outside Sunoo’s room in Drunk/Dazed, flittering around anxiously as though he’s not sure what to do with himself or isn’t sure what to do about something that’s bothering him?) Could Sunoo have been responsible for turning Jungwon, or maybe completing his transformation? Or even just feeding off of him, wich, in some lore, creates a special bond between two vampires?
-Speaking of Drunk/Dazed, we see the mansion reappear during their first "bloody birthday party"- when there was only one candle on the cake- does this mean that they celebrated their life as vampires before being transferred to the facility? Were they vampires for a fair amount of time- several months or maybe even a year or two- before being taken away?
-Why are they immitating firing arrows? They don't seem to be *actually* doing this, just mimicking it, why expose themselves to the sun just for something symbolic? Is it a repetition of something they've done before? Did they originally destroy the facility themselves? Or it it something else..?
If anyone has any ideas definitely let me know, HYBE is my new favorite thing for theorizing!

Airports, And Convenience Stores.
Series: KPOP Girl Group: 이달의 소녀 (LOONA).
Pairing: Kim Hyunjin & Idol Female Reader.
Summary: If you told Y/N that a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with her favorite idol at a convenience store from way back in her trainee days would be stuck on the idol's mind for years—she wouldn't believe you. Well, until the said idol bumps into her again at a public setting and asks for her number infront of every news outlet there is.
"I'll be going now!"
"Don't forget my cider!"
"I won't!" shutting the door behind you, the familiar tune of the door signalling that it's locked played as you made your way down the hallway, adjusting the strap of your tote bag that you usually brought with you whenever you went out to do some grocery shopping. You pushed your hands into the pockets of your hoodie, making your way into the elevator and pressing the key to the ground floor before humming a song that had been going on repeat in your head ever since you first listened to it. Of course, the song was LOONA Kim Hyunjin's solo song "Around You" that had came out just a few months ago. You stumbled upon it just as when their four-member group had released their most recent song "Love&Live" which had you hooked in no time—making you get into the entire discography, and after playing everything on repeat, Kim Hyunjin just slipped her way into your heart. Maybe it was how her voice just sounds so soothing in her song, or how odd the plot of her music video was yet it reminded you of the feeling of home—you couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was about Kim Hyunjin that just spoke to you.
Well, it could also be that she's very pretty too.
You were never the one for such things, but you were drawn to the rookie idol who has yet proven herself to the audience. Somehow, this seemed to be even more attractive to you—a company that popped out of nowhere with the idea that releasing a new member every month, accompanied by a lore that keeps you reeled in every comeback..
There's so much to look forward to, and you've just been introduced to the first unit.
Your mind wanders about the lore as you walked out of the dorm's building, your feet leading you to the usual convenience store you know that was open around this time of the morning. Sometimes, you choose to stay in the store to converse with the staff that had always been kind to you, not minding at all that you were one of the most anticipated trainees to debut in your current lineup considering that articles had already spread about a monster rookie girl group to debut under SM Entertainment with your stage name highlighted on it. It was astonishing how your hard work had seemed to pay off, but with your already growing fanbase, it even further fueled the burning passion inside you to keep working harder to be able to become strong even after you debut.
Before entering the store, you stopped infront of the glass doors to pull your phone out to check if there had been any more requests from your members. This pattern with making sure to check your phone before entering the store had also been engraved in you once you came back with a bag full of snacks for your group, only to be caught by your manager and them to confiscate it all because you were on a diet—could've been avoided if only you checked the warning messages from your unnies that they sent you before you came back.
2:25AM, it read on the screen.
"Ah, Y/N. It's always nice when you drop by~"
"I can't stay for long unnie, I need to go back to the practice room after I buy these.." you motioned to the list on your phone, nose scrunched as you grabbed a basket while the pretty store clerk, Haejin, pouted at you.
"Busier and busier, huh.. Why—are you debuting tomorrow already??" you walked past her and made your way to the shelves, laughing at the eagerness in her tone as your eyes scanned the snacks for the specific ones your members had requested.
"I'm sure that if I had the date already, It'd be postponed before I even manage to tell my parents about it."
"They're so strict about that." Haejin groaned from the counter as you smiled to yourself, shrugging as if she could even see you.
"They're leading for a reason."
"I just hope you'll still be able to do these types of things once you debut, I'll barricade the doors from your saesangs if I have to."
"Unnie, how do I know you're not going to be one of my sasaengs?"
"Ah—this kid, really!" your laugh echoed through the empty convenience store yet again, the soft melody of whatever was on the radio playing in the background as you walked around the place. You pointed out numerous new items on the shelves that Haejin didn't hesitate to tell you about when they arrived, along with the reviews about them—you swear that this girl was the most enthusiastic convenience store employee you've ever encountered in your life but you guessed that it was because the girl liked your company's idols and they often drop by on her shift as well.
Haejin, as much as college seemed to have her in a chokehold—enjoyed beeing a store clerk for the reason of satiating her inner fangirl over her idols being friends with her because she worked there.
As you pulled open one of the fridge doors to look for a tub of your member's specified brand of ice cream, you heard the bells ring by the entrance, indicating a customer entering the store. You heard Haejin greet them, low voices conversing as you finally found the ice cream you were looking for and walked over to the beverage fridge, knowing exactly where the cider your unnie asked for was located.
"The bread is on that aisle." Haejin's polite voice told the customer whos footsteps you could hear was about a few shelves behind you. Managing to finish contemplating it over in your head if you wanted cider as well, you settled on grabbing strawberry milk instead and turned to make your way to the counter when you failed to feel the approaching presence from behind you. You gasped when you felt the collision of your heads against each other just before your body crashed into theirs, practically pushing the both of you to the shelves if it wasn't for you quickly stepping back and grabbing the stranger by both of their arms, dropping your basket to the ground.
"I'm so sorry, are you alright? I should've watched where I was going I—" the girl who had her head down, phone in hand against her head as she clutched a cream bun in her other looked disoriented just from how she stood as you kept a firm grip on her arms to keep her steady. You leaned over to look at her face to see if she really was alright but you could barely make out her features through her hair, brows furrowed and eyes closed.
"Ah.. I'm so stupid, I'm so sorry.." you kept trying to apologize when she quickly shook her head, rubbing her hand that held her phone on the spot where your head had hit hers.
"No, no.. I thought you weren't that close—it's my fault."
"You took it harder than I did, do you want to sit down for a while? Maybe I can—" your breath hitched when the girl finally lifted her face, brows furrowed and a frown set on her lips as her eyes stayed stuck scanning the ground. You could feel how almost instantly your heart started racing, the sound almost blocking your ears from the radio playing in the background, eyes scanning her features as she stood there in all of her glory looking as distraught as ever.
Yet very, very ethereal.
Oh my God it's Kim Hyunjin, holy sh—
"My cream bread.." her airy voice quickly snapped you back into the present, looking down at the crushed bread in her hand before eyeing the now less disoriented girl that stood infront of you. You didn't even notice how long you were just staring at her as she stared down at her bread, until she connected her eyes with you, blinking before tilting her head.
Her eyes are so pretty—
"You're that trainee in the articles." Kim Hyunjin mumbled, and only if you were paying any extra attention—you would've heard how much in awe she was, but you quickly panicked once you realized that she recognized you.
Kim Hyunjin knows who you are.
"I'm so sorry! I'll buy you two cream buns to compensate for my actions! I didn't mean to bump into you like this—I'm sorry for being a junior leaving such a bad impression! Please let me make it up to you, sunbaenim!" Hyunjin's face consorted into pure confusion when you quickly pulled your hands off her arms, taking a step back and doing a full 90° bow infront of her. She scanned you for a moment, eyeing your basket full of snacks and rocking back on the soles of her feet before leaning over to get on the same level as you, hands on her knees.
"Just.. Two cream buns?" she asked, making direct eye contact with you as you slightly turned your face to meet hers, instantly flushing at her expectant look.
"As many as you'd like, sunbaenim!" you rephrased in haste, Hyunjin's expectant look changed into amusement before a bashful smile made it's way on her lips. She reached over to pat your head gently, the action taking your breath away for a moment but she didn't seem to think that much about it, standing up straight before lightly rubbing on the spot where your heads met, looking as if she's contemplating something. You took this as a sign that she took offer, still it didn't stop you from anxiously getting back up on normal level as her eyes scanned the fridge behind you.
"I..I'll go get them for you quickly—"
"What's your name?" Hyunjin asked just as you made a move to retrieve the bread, you stopped on your tracks to look back at the older girl. Her eyes pierced through yours as if she was looking for something in them but at the moment, you could barely think about anything else other than appeasing the idol.
"Y/L/N Y/N, I'm just a trainee.." your eyes widened at your introduction, knowing damn well Hyunjin just said that she knew you were a trainee. You internally face palmed yourself but Hyunjin didn't seem to mind, if anything—the girl could almost feel your panic and as much as it pained her, she couldn't help but find your flustered state endearing.
And if you could only hear how many times Hyunjin's inner voice tried to convince her to ask for your number, or edge you more into keeping contact with her to make up for such a small mistake.. Hyunjin didn't want to be mean to you, but she's currently thinking of ways to keep you from leaving without giving her your number.
"Ah.. That rings a bell.." Hyunjin dragged her words slowly, nodding to herself as you stood there almost shaking in your spot. She looks down at her crushed bread in hand, thinking if you noticed her crushing it literally after you collided when she caught a glimpse of who exactly she bumped into.
Ofcourse she'd exaggerate her disorientation.
"Is everything okay here..?" Haejin walked over to you two, eyeing your flushed state before staring directly at Hyunjin. Haejin's brows shot up quickly, as if it was the first time she actually looked at the customer before she motioned to the girl.
"You're that Girl of the Month thing." you tensed next to the clerk to which Hyunjin's lips quickly pulled up into a big grin, finding it amusing how the clerk didn't even know which one she was but it was nice to know that their group was getting recognition. You however, something in Hyunjin just knew you knew her specifically.
"I'm the second girl, Kim Hyunjin."
"Ah! Kim Hyunjin.." Haejin furrows her brows as if she remembered the name before, hitting her fist in her palm at the sudden realization, "..the cat head girl? Around you? Y/N, you told me to play that song here all the time! Isn't this her?" Hyunjin's eyes moved to yours as you looked at Haejin in alarm, reaching over to hit her arm but stopping mid-way when you saw Hyunjin's soft eyes directed at you.
"I.. Yeah, of course. It was my favorite solo song, but I listen to Rain 51db more these days.." now you really had Hyunjin's attention, you basically outed yourself as a fan and now Hyunjin will not let you leave the store without your number in her phone.
"The 90's karaoke one?"
"Heejin-sunbaenim is really cool.."
Heejin? And you said Hyunjin's solo song was your favorite?
"I'll get sunbae's bread—" you were cut off when your phone started vibrating in the pocket of your hoodie, you pulled it out to find your manager's name on your screen calling you. Your eyes widened as the call could only mean one thing—reminding you of the practice room that was supposed to be your destination right after buying your snacks.
"Sunbaenim—"
"Practice?" Hyunjin softly asked as you frowned at your phone before looking up at her, finding warm eyes locked on yours.
"I'll make it up to you. Next time we see each other—"
"I want your phone number." Haejin audibly choked next to you as you flustered as deeply as before.
"R-right now?" Hyunjin stared at you for a moment before shaking her head—deciding against her initial plan of making sure to not let you leave without giving her your number—reaching over to grab your basket on the ground to hand it to you. You quickly grabbed ahold of the handles as Hyunjin ran her fingers through her hair, looking around the convenience store with a shrug.
"No, the next time we meet." you stared at her, completely baffled beyond words to even form a reply and so you just nodded, staring at her and trying to memorize her features as much as you can, knowing that this is the moment you part ways.
"I'm sorry.. I hope we meet again someday, in a better manner, Hyunjin-sunbaenim.." you bowed yet again at Hyunjin who oddly felt her heart warm at her name rolling off your lips smoothly, as if you've always been saying her name—in which she didn't doubt that you did, you were a fan afterall. You gave her one last shy smile before turning to Haejin, motioning to the counter to which Haejin only grinned at, following after you but not before glancing at Hyunjin who's eyes seemed to only follow your retreating figure.
"I think she likes you~"
"Be quiet! She can still hear us!"
Hyunjin reatreated back to the bread aisle as you quickly paid for all of your snacks, she listened closely when the bells at the entrance signal that you've left, to which Hyunjin felt her mood dampen at. Practically pouting to herself the entire time she walked around to look for whatever she needed to buy, she finally walked over to pay over the counter, Haejin packing her items in a bag as Hyunjin reached over to hand the clerk her card when Haejin smirked at her.
"Y/N told me to just charge it to her account, whatever it is you bought." Hyunjin raised a brow the information, to which Haejin shrugged at but still kept the smirk on her face.
"If I were you, I'd grab a few more.. you know, to make her feel like she atleast made up for it." Haejin could only look at Hyunjin's ruined cream bun and strawberry milk that she only took because it reminded her of the contents in your basket. Hyunjin shook her head at Haejin's mischievious attempt behind your back, instead, smiling softly at the ruined bread as Haejin handed her the bag.
"It's alright, she'll make up for it next time. I'm sure."

"Hi! Hello! They're so cute!!" your member waves at your fans as you stand next to her, trying your best not to squint your eyes at the rapid flashes that went off as you aligned yourself with your group, smiling at how you were all being greeted with such heavy enthusiasm. Making your group introduction, you all bowed before your manager motioned that it was time to head over inside, in which you grabbed onto one of your unnies as you slid through the crowd with your bodyguards doing their best to keep anyone from being too close to your members. As you just passed the entrance however, the flashes seemed a bit stronger and the deafening clicking of shutters, followed by screaming fans became stronger.
"JINSOUL HI!"
"CHUU I LOVE YOU!"
"YVES YOU LOOK SO PRETTY!"
Your ears perked up at the familiar names, to which your members that walked in front caught your attention when they started squealing. Your eyes settled on a few of your members being smothered by the familiar group that had just seemed to arrive, Chuu's bright smile as she hugged two of your members quickly, Choerry wildly waving at them as they bowed while Jinsoul and Yves seemed to tease them a bit.
Your groups seemed to be in the middle of paparazzis, fans, and curious gazes—in the middle of a very busy airport lobby. The crowd that circled around both groups was almost overbearing if it weren't for your bodyguards making as much space for your groups as possible. You tried to keep your distance, not wanting any sort of drama to build upon any group's name considering how heavy your own seemed to be even in your group, but then a familiar voice started to call your name.
"Y/N-unnie! Y/L/N Y/N-unnie!" your eyes instantly snapped over to find a small figure practically bouncing over to you, making you pull away from your member to insantly beam at the short girl whom you've bonded with at a variety show once. It was once but you can't seriously not love LOONA's maknae.
"Yeojin.." she instantly hugged you, giggling as you leaned over so that you can hug her back, patting her hair softly before she pulled away to smile up at you.
"What are you doing all the way here? Come on, Haseul-unnie wants to meet you!" she started tugging at your hand to which you only pursed your lips at.
"Yeojin, I'm kind of.. not good to be caught on camera with right now."
"Why not? You're practically as famous as us right now! I mean, even if you weren't it's still okay! We're friends!" Yeojin tried to reassure you but something just didn't sit right with the manager telling you a few days back that your name was at such a high place right now, and they wanted you to take care of it and make sure you didn't get into any sort of trouble or your group was going to plummet.
It was repulsive how they highlighted the idea that since you were on the first of all brand reputations since your groups debut, it was up to you to keep your group's name afloat. And if that type of toxicity rubs any other groups the wrong way..
"Oh.. we have to leave.." Yeojin mumbles, sounding disheartened as she looked up to find you giving her a sad smile. She shook her head, hugging you again before giving you a pointed look.
"I'll call you the moment we get back to the dorms, and then we'll plan another meetup. I promise—no paparazzis, we'll have lots of fun then, alright Y/N-unnie? I promise!" your heart dropped as Yeojin slowly made her way over to her group's retreating figures, she waved at you, still smiling brightly and just like that—your heart feels a little bit better at the girl's energy. Yeojin quickly bumped into Haseul, hugging her as Haseul's eyes moved to yours, you gave her a small smile and she reciprocated along with a wave.
Their group had always felt oddly comforting, but in a good way.
As your group slowly moved away from LOONA, you turned to face the direction of where you were supposed to be heading when your eyes seemed to have found themselves locking with stunningly familiar ones, eyes that would always seem to remind you of a cat's. You quickly turned away though, thinking that the woman who made your heart race about two years ago—now with striking dyed red hair—wouldn't even remember you at all. But your mind seemed to have stopped functioning completely when her usually soft, and airy voice boomed through the lobby and all of the commotion just to call your name.
"Hey! Y/L/N Y/N!" almost everyone around the both of you looked rattled out of their minds, watching silently as the two last members of each group stood only but a few feet apart, members standing behind them stopping on their tracks to understand what it was all about. Heejin whom was standing next to Hyunjin looked scared for a moment, only for her eyes to soften when they landed on your figure.
Jinsoul on the other hand had no filter, literally saying, "What is this? This is how you get a girl's attention, Kim Hyunjin?" before Kim Lip bursted into her iconic laughing face, grabbing Jinsoul's arm and shaking her. Chuu smiled widely at you, she always had but this time it's as if there was some meaning to it, with Cheorry turning from waving at a fan to grin at you—along with Yves smirking and Vivi giving Haseul a side eye.
Even Olivia Hye looked intrigued by the commotion, with Gowon drowsily clinging onto her but looking around as if she was confused.
"Y/L/N Y/N.." Hyunjin said softly this time, eyes only on you. You swallowed sharply, quickly bowing with the usual 90° degrees before eyeing all of the cameras that seemed to surround the both of you.
"Hyunjin, maybe another time.." Heejin tried to tell her bestfriend but she barely paid any attention to it. Instead, LOONA's Kim Hyunjin walked over to Y/L/N, in the middle of every single news outlet there is, every single fansite, every single curious gaze—she stood infront of you with a determined look on her face that had you shuddering slightly on your spot. She looked more mature up close, if you had a major change from losing some of your baby fat, Hyunjin looked almost nothing like the soft featured sunbaenim you met in that store two years before your debut. She looked like an actual sunbae now—if that made sense—as she stared right back at you, the soft gaze was still there but her aura emitted such strength, a newfound sense of maturity that wasn't exactly present when you bumped into her that morning.
"Hyunjin-sunbaenim." Hyunjin felt slightly taken aback by how your voice seemed so different from how it always used to echo in her head since that day, you no longer looked like kid and instead—if it was even possible, you looked way more beautiful than the first time she saw you in that damn article. And God, you've aged well since she last bumped into you, even though you look as if you could easily be knocked off on your feet from the pressure of all the eyes on you right now..
Hyunjin wanted to tell you that you'll be fine, that you're doing great.
You shouldn't be so hard on yourself.
But Hyunjin wasn't that good with words, she proved that to herself when countless of times she'd hear Yeojin talking about her day with you, how she always said you were bound for a great career ahead. Hyunjin could barely ask Yeojin for your number, she wanted to just have it so many times but that was your deal, she wanted to get it from you because she respected you—and it took her two years.
Two years to find the guts to stand infront of her favorite junior, practically the only junior that had caught her attention ever since.
"Here, type in your number." if your eyes could only bulge out of it's sockets right now, it would've. Collective gasps and camera flashes started going off as Hyunjin held out her phone infront of you, looking as laid back as ever while your mind goes into a complete shut down.
"What did she say?"
"Hyunjin just asked for Y/N's number? Here?!"
"Oh my God, this is—what??"
"Alright, alright—you're not seriously doing this here, aren't you, Kim Hyunjin-ssi?" Yves calls out from behind Hyunjin but the girl didn't even hint at acknowledging it, making Heejin sigh and turn to Yves with a knowing look, the challenging smile on Yves' lips dropping into a confused pout as Jinsoul let out yet another one of her amazed laugh.
"Wah! This is really happening!" Chuu and Kim Lip bursts into a fit of laughter, the sound bringing you back from your trance to scan your sunbaenim's now flushed face.
Kim Hyunjin is.. flustered?
"Sunb—"
"Hyunjin is fine." your eyes moved to the awestruck people around you, trying to find both of your managers only to find your members holding your own back—and LOONA's manager watching the interaction with an amused look.
"Are you going to make it up to me or not? I'm not the one with a flight to catch, Y/L/N Y/N." Hyunjin rolled her eyes but only in a teasing manner, tilting her head at you as she lightly waved her phone onto your confused face before it registered to you that she was talking about the convenience store incident. You instantly flushed, cursing internally at how you could forget your own words like that before nodding quickly, reaching over to grab her phone only for it to be pulled away by Hyunjin which confused you once again.
"I want your number, not your manager's, not your members', not the number you give for business transactions—I want the number on your actual phone," Hyunjin stated firmly, leaning her face to yours and staring at you intently. You nodded slowly as you reached over to grab her phone, but she pulled it away yet again, "I want to be your friend, Y/N." she finished, placing her phone in your hand before pulling away to lower her eyes at you as she crossed her arms on her chest.
And just like that, there goes all of your worries about everyone's prying eyes and your spot on the brand reputation rankings..
You swallowed thickly, trying to calm the sudden burning feeling in your entire body as you quickly typed in your number—cautiously eyeing her intimidating stance before grabbing your phone from your back pocket, pressing the call button on Hyunjin's phone for your own to start ringing. Once Hyunjin looked satisfied, you typed your group's name and then your name before handing Hyunjin her phone.
"Assa! Unnie~" Gowon cheered from behind Hyunjin, with Olivia Hye looking at the back of Hyunjin's head as if she's impressed.
That didn't stop Kim Lip from cackling loudly with Jinsoul, Chuu, Yeojin and Choerry though.
"Kim Hyunjin! Just like always!" Heejin cheered, grinning when Hyunjin turned to glare at them.
"Yeojin said she'd call me when you're all back to the dorms.."
"Not if I call you first." Hyunjin stated firmly with a knowing look, as if she already knew she was going to win.
To which you only softly smiled at.
"It's a thirteen hour flight to the US, you know that right?"
"Hyunjin! We need to go!"
"I know!" Hyunjin's eyes widened, waving her hands dismissively, "That's not directed to you, Y/N—I can't ever get mad at you." Hyunjin frowned to herself to which you only shortly laugh at, nodding before glancing at your own members making heart poses but the others also pointing to the gates. You faced Hyunjin who looked almost like an abandoned cat who didn't want you to leave.
"I should get going.."
"..yeah."
"See you around, Hyunjin." you bowed yet again, but this time it was a quick one and with a smile—different from the ones that were shy, and apologetic—it was an actual smile, a smile that Hyunjin felt as if the butterflies in her stomach were going wild as you did the simple action.
"See you, Y/N." Hyunjin watched as you retreated back slowly to your members, hesitant yet making your way back to them. You were just about to disappear from her view when you heard her call you again, to which you almost automatically turn at, but you did anyways, stopping on your tracks yet again to find the image of a giddy looking red haired Kim Hyunjin smiling from ear to ear, eyes crinkled as she did.
"You're still going to make it up to me, right Y/N?" she asked sweetly, making you all flustered yet again as everyone around you seemed to find this interaction sweet.
"Ofcourse, I promised."
And with that, Kim Hyunjin practically skipped all the way to the van—staring at your contact name she changed on her phone.
My Favorite Hoobae.

Jung Kook: “I hope this feeling never fades”
I had a chance to interview BTS before, when they debuted. During that interview, Jung Kook had one small habit; when I met him again a while later, he had corrected it. He makes a conscious effort to change himself. And after seven years, I met Jung Kook again.
You directed the music video for “Life Goes On,” BE’s title song. Jung Kook: I was really eager to direct the music video from the outset. My plan was to organize the synopsis, discuss it with the music video director I was working with, shoot and edit them, but we were short on time. So I worked on it while sharing ideas with the director. Originally there were a lot of scenes with lip synching in them, but we took some of them out and put in more scenes that conveyed the members’ emotions better. It wasn’t easy to combine scenes, but I think now I know more about how much of everything is needed when shooting a music video.
You had shot the Golden Closet Films and uploaded them to the BTS YouTube channel, and now you shot a music video. Jung Kook: Once we were on location, we had directions for everything we needed to shoot prepared in advance, so I took candid shots of the members here and there with a camera during the shoot. We were filming in a beautiful place so when they asked me to take pictures of them as they wanted to be presented, I did.
What kind of pictures did you take of yourself? Jung Kook: I was just, in them. (laughs) I’m not in the shot for the Golden Closet Films either. I kind of take a back seat. The director had to shoot my parts for the music video, since I couldn’t film myself, so I relaxed a bit. I tried to make the other members look really good when I recorded them. Since this was a BTS music video and not my own, I wanted to show what was happening with every member and the team, not just one individual’s thoughts. Each person who watches the video might feel different, but I wanted to show that we feel what other people feel, that we’re in the same situation.
You get your picture taken a lot, but you don’t pay much attention to the ones you’re in. Jung Kook: I never really liked having my picture taken. (laughs) And I’m usually with the others when we’re working, obviously, but it’s hard to take a camera and take selfies. So I take pictures and videos of the other members every chance I get.
Do you still find it difficult to have your picture taken? Jung Kook: I put my best face forward when it’s for something I have to do, like for photo books, but it’s still not easy. Videos are okay, though. And even though I’m not nervous at all when I sing in front of tens of thousands of people, if I have to sing or talk in front of a small group, I get super nervous. I never feel that way on stage, but maybe I have a hard time doing things that are a little bit awkward for me.
It seems like you draw a distinction between work you enjoy and work you find difficult. Jung Kook: Work related to music, like recording, composing, writing lyrics, filming music videos and things like that, are all fine. But anything outside of that is probably a challenge for me.
On BE, you each explained your feelings about work in the song “Dis-ease.” You must have experienced a cycle of enjoyable and difficult work over seven years, so how did you get through the hard times? Jung Kook: I actually understand my own problems well, so most of the time it’s okay. I can figure things out one at a time through experience instead of just looking for answers. I’m always growing and my personality changes, depending on my environment. I think I’ve learned to do things I used to find difficult by experiencing it little by little.
Speaking of growth, “Skit” was very memorable. You recorded it the day after “Dynamite” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and you, who talked about what you did before you became trainees in “Skit” in your debut album, talked about being first place on the Billboard Hot 100 this time around. Jung Kook: When I was a trainee, I saw the older members rapping and thought, “Wow, they’re so cool!” But now, after having spent everyday together, I’ve forgotten about all that. (laughs) Sometimes I see the lyrics they wrote, see them dancing and hearing the things they say on stage, and think, “Oh, right. That is the kind of person they are. They’re a lot different now.” You know how you don’t feel it when you live with your family, but if you can’t see them for a long time, you miss them. You might even cry. We’re a real family. Like, legit! (laughs)
Your “legit family” (laughs) each put their own songs on BE and came up with units spontaneously. What was it like making the album that way? Jung Kook: We talked with the company over the outline of the album and organized our ideas together. That was our process for making songs. Then we’d listen to them together, and if we thought they weren’t great, we’d go back and work on them some more. The members would get together and say, “Hey, how about so and so do a unit song this time?” or, “What should it be about?” and share a lot of ideas that way.
How did the others respond to your song, “Stay”? Jung Kook: That song was originally meant to be on my mixtape. We planned to put a different song on the album, but after V heard it, he said, “This song that Jung Kook wrote is really good,” and then the other members all listened, said it was better than the other one, and somehow (laughs) “Stay” made it into the album. The message for the other song was also, “Even though we’re far apart, stay just where you are.” I wrote my song with the same theme so I loved that it was included in BE. At first, I wanted to talk about how we’re always together, using the English word “wherever.” I wanted to express how we’re always together no matter where we are, but Namjoon heard that and said “Stay” might be better. I liked his suggestion, so I changed it. He really helped me to organize my thoughts, since I’m not always good at writing everything I want to express.
One might go as far as to say the lyrics sound heartbreaking, but it’s arranged in EDM. Jung Kook: We imagined we were performing for the fans while we made it, jumping up and down with them.
It sounds like you really miss your fans. Jung Kook: This album really hit us in a different way, with this situation being what it is. Because the world is struggling with COVID-19, we have to keep our heads up and convey our messages to our fans.
What can your fans expect from you when you finally meet again? Jung Kook: There’s nothing specific, but when I watched our old performances, my facial expressions were awkward and my dance moves weren’t always perfect. I keep working to improve myself, so I hope when the fans see me, they think my performance is amazing and that my aura fills the stage.
Are you happy with how you look in your latest work? Jung Kook: I’m not 100% satisfied, no. When we did performances for “Dynamite” recently I kept seeing my imperfections.
Your acting in the intro to your “Dynamite” performance was really impressive. Even in COVID-19 times, you captured a feeling of liveliness and being cool, as though to explain what the song is all about. Jung Kook: Actually, on the first day of filming the music video, I was supposed to film my parts first, but I was so bad that it had to be pushed to the end of the shoot. So,I was a bit more relaxed when the camera rolled.
So that’s what you get when you’re relaxed! (laughs) Jung Kook: Yes, I relaxed, and something went “pop!” and “boom!” inside me, and then I did it however I wanted. (laughs)
It’s fascinating how someone who performs the way you do during stadium tours can feel nervous while filming and yet still do so well in it. Jung Kook: I can be a shy person. When people used to ask me to sing, I couldn’t always do it—like in front of adults or teachers. And I’m still a bit like that. If I start thinking, “Oh, I can’t do this,” then I really end up not being able to do it. Even when I could have done well.
Why do you think that is? Jung Kook: I feel the same way about my dancing and my singing, and I can’t compose a really amazing melody either. I feel like I’m always somewhere in the middle. But then I also think I have my own colors, so I like to quietly, slowly open up to people, and let them know what kind of person I am. Yeah, something like that. (laughs)
But, when you review your songs and performances objectively, you see all of your changes, don’t you? Jung Kook: There’s a lot of change. My voice has changed a lot; I grew taller and my frame and facial structure have changed, too. I could tell how awkward I looked at the beginning, but after a while, I think, “My gestures look better now, but I feel like my dance is too rigid.” And again after a while, “Now my dance is fine and my gestures are good, but I’m making awkward facial expressions.” And later, I say, “Now I got the facial expressions down, but, hmm, there’s no killer move.” (laughs) That’s how I slowly changed. And then my actions, thoughts, dreams, goals, what I value, what I want to do—all these things will change depending on the situation.
You had some changes in BE, too. Throughout “Life Goes On,” you lightly carry your voice and tone throughout the whole song, like they’re flowing. Jung Kook: Right. I think that’s very important. My general feeling was my voice should be woven into the song, rather than bringing out my individual voice. The lyrics say the world stopped, but I can’t keep on being sad, and life continues and flows on. I wanted to mix a little bit of my own colors into that complex, subtle sadness. I listened to how the other members recorded their parts for the song, and I sang while thinking about how I could do it in a way that it would all blend together well. I kept changing my voice exploring how to make it sound better, cleaner. I kept trying new things while I was recording, performing, and practicing.
When you look back after all that change, don’t you feel like you accomplished a lot? Jung Kook: I don’t really pay attention to things that have already happened. I think more about what it is I need right now, so I rarely think, “I got a lot better from how I used to be,” or, “I did a good job.”
You sound insatiable, in a good way. Jung Kook: Yes. This is how I want to keep living, and I hope this feeling never fades.
You’ve found immense success with BTS. What makes you want to keep doing more and keep improving yourself? Jung Kook: I want to show people who I am: how I talk, how I act, how I sing, and so on. And after that, I want to be acknowledged for doing what I like to do, and for people to see what an amazing guy I am. I want to do these things step by step. I want to be appreciated as Jung Kook, as the real me.
What do you think is the source of that energy—the energy to keep proving yourself, even though you’ve already achieved so much with BTS? Jung Kook: I think my heart’s telling me to. BTS was able to climb this high thanks to the group members, the company and our fans. But there’s always the question of whether I could receive that kind of recognition by myself, so I have this feeling of wanting to throw myself at some challenge alone. There’s a lot I want to do, and a lot I want to achieve.
By gradually improving yourself, what kind of person would you ideally want to become? Jung Kook: A person who’s crazy awesome in their field. (laughs) Those kinds of people look cool even when they do something different. I still have a long way to go. I feel like I could be more captivating and draw more out of people by improving any number of things, by trying hard to be confident about my singing, or the way I dance and perform. BTS is way more important and meaningful to me than I am to myself, so I’m not saying I want to do anything alone. But I hope I get to the point where I can perform alone for three or four hours in a venue full of people.
It’s clear that your job, music, is very important to you. Jung Kook: I must never let it go. That’s what I always think. I have to keep it close to me, even if I get bored, or I don’t want to hear it, or it feels like a hassle. I want to keep on making music. It may be a long ways down the road, but I want to prove myself with my music.
You said before that your MBTI is ISFP, so I looked it up. Obviously, MBTI can’t sum up a person perfectly, but it says ISFPs tend to be “curious artists.” Your answer reminds me of that. Jung Kook: That sounds about right. I looked up the personality traits for ISFP too, and it was interesting. (laughs)
Maybe that’s the reason you set your goals so high. You seem like you have high standards and want to keep growing. Jung Kook: It’s like a foggy mountain top. (laughs) I can’t even see it yet.
You’ve been climbing for seven years, staying curious. Is there anything you want to say to the people who have been watching you all this time? Jung Kook: Umm … Well, there are seven of us, and the seven of us keep running ahead. So it’s possible we could get tired, one by one, and drop out, right? But if more people join us, one by one, and run with us, we can support each other and pull each other up if someone falls down. That’s kind of how I feel. There are people who supported us from the beginning who have been watching us the whole time since, and because of them our follower count keeps going up, and they all keep us on track. So the only thing I can say is—thank you. We were nothing special, really (laughs) but they keep on liking us and supporting us, and the best way we can repay them is to give them our all through our music and our performances. They push me to work hard, even on things I find difficult. (laughs) I’m eternally grateful.
Just like in the last line of “Stay.” Jung Kook: “We are together.”

Eighth Member of BTS
Word Count: 3k
Warnings: None, kinda angsty at first maybe??
Notes: This is kind of implied male reader as BigHit only deals with boy groups but I don’t think I used any pronouns so it should be safe for all genders to read
A.N: I’m back!!! I kind of, maybe, went off a little on this so I’m most likely going to make another part to this. If you guys would rather have it be Poly!BTS or delve in specific members, let me know! Love you!!
You’ve been training with BigHit for a little over a year
You joined BigHit after they held international auditions and you miraculously made it through all rounds
Moving into the dorms and taking classes/lessons was a huge change from your typical school work/ job
The time you usually gave for school/work drastically decreased so you find yourself constantly busy
Your social life basically reduces to interacting with the others in your dorm and talking to your outside friends when you finally have the time
Being a trainee is stressful and the dorms you and the other trainees live in are small since people are constantly coming and going
Depending on who you are, you either become comfortable expressing your emotions when having a difficult day, or you wait until everyone is asleep or find places you can get a semblance of privacy
You also have to become comfortable and seeing your roommates handle things
You usually have class in the afternoon and come back to the dorm to change and go to dance lesson and on one particular day, you walked in on your roommate sobbing to his parents over the phone because their voice kept cracking during vocal lessons
Trainee lessons take up the majority of the day so you have to reserve the time between you’re finished and when you fall asleep for assignments/outside studying
This time is usually between 1 and 3 a.m, so constant sleep deprivation becomes normal for you
You become a master at taking naps anywhere and at any time of the day possible
Sleep deprivation doesn’t help anyone manage stress in a healthy way and this has lead to your roommates repeatedly getting into serious arguments over boundaries and personal space
Being one of the older members amongst the trainees, this means that you’re called upon a lot to help settle disputes
So when BigHit tells you that you’re debuting, you couldn’t be happier to move on
You’re a little curious as to why BigHit is flying you to Korea before they tell you who the other members in your group are but you’ve learned not to question them
Perhaps the other members in your group are the trainees that live in Korea
By now, BTS is BigHit’s top group and has been debuted for a couple years now and has amassed a large fanbase
After working so hard, BigHit finally gave the members of BTS a couple months off
Though they noticed that after the first month and a half, BTS lost a bit of their momentum
They were still one of the largest performers in the world, but with them being on break and not releasing any music, dances, or videos, media somewhat lost interest and focused their attention on relevant celebrity news
To surpass this and keep BTS’s name trending, they made the executive decision to add another member
BigHit figured this would allow them to do more concepts, would change the dynamic/sound of the group's songs, and would ensure fans came back for their next debute to see who the next member was
BTS was made aware of this change but since they’re about to go on vacation, they don’t put much thought into it at first
Until Namjoon texts the group, because you start trending number one on twitter with BTS after the announcement and of course Namjoon, is on social media
Of course, your actual identity isn't revealed to the public
They all message their managers to ask about who you are
Yoongi stalks all of your social media when they’re given your basic information
Jimin finds your Instagram and he lowkey thinks you’re cute but he’s not about to admit that
Jungkook and Taehyung talk mad shit about you at first, to be honest
Well, they don’t specifically talk about you, they’re more so angry at you being added because, in their eyes, there’s no need for a new member
Hoseok begins stressing day one because he doesn’t know how much you’ve been taught about their dances
He’s not really looking forward to the idea of having to teach a new person literally all of BTS’s past dances and work on changing the formations so you fit in
Namjoon and Yoongi are curious as to how BigHit is going to fit you during performances since you would only have parts in recent songs
Also being the main producers of the group, Namjoon, Yoongi, and Hoseok don’t know what you sound like, whether you’ll be added to the rap or vocal line
It's basically a whole mess and everyone has to reconfigure
While BTS is on vacation, you’re actually in Korea learning the dances, in the recording studio, and practicing Korean nonstop
The first time BTS meets you is when they go to the dance studio to learn the new dance for their comeback song
You don’t know the dance either so figuratively, you’re all starting in the same place
You choke up when they first walk in
Namjoon and Jin are respectful to you, knowing that this was BigHit’s decision and they have no reason to hold a grudge against you specifically
Hoseok and Jimin remain professional but you can sense how much you being there stresses them out
Taehyung tries to be civil but you repeatedly catch him giving you dirty looks and rolling his eyes whenever you speak
Jungkook straight up ignores you
Not gonna lie, you’re first day meeting them goes awful
But you already signed a contract with BigHit and your name was put out since BTS was officially back from vacation so no backing out now
It gets lonely real fast
You’re in a new country, the members of your group already have years of bonding over you, and the apartment you’re placed in is gigantic and extremely quiet compared to the dorms back in your home country
The members ease up a little after hearing and seeing you sing and dance and knowing that you can hold your own
Particularly Hoseok and Jimin, once they see you can keep up with them for the most part, they no longer worry about having to take time out of their day to specifically help you
Though this may also be a curse because Hoseok has a bit of a tendency to be harder upon his fellow members with choreography
You get called out/corrected by him SEVERAL times during practice
It isn’t until a couple weeks in when things start looking up for you
Yoongi had for the most part just focused on what needed to be done for the comeback, worrying about producing and perfecting the choreo himself, so he doesn’t really pay much attention to you
Until Yoongi notices it’s starting to become a pattern where you eat by yourself at one end of the room and he and the other members eat together or pair off
He’s pretty sure there have been a couple nights where you’ve pretended you weren’t hungry or made an excuse to eat alone when Jin or Namjoon politely invite you to eat
Jimin has noticed this too and has lightened up since the first day meeting you, but still keeps his distance
After an already long day working, waking up at 4am, Yoongi specifically makes sure that you can’t escape eating lunch with them
Most of them are too hungry to even try to object, not that they really would as you’ve spent enough time with them that they’re all starting to warm up to you
Jungkook and Taehyung don’t give you looks as much but they’re still not their boisterous selves when you’re around
Hoseok and Jin are in their own world with their own conversation with Namjoon occasionally adding input when taking small breaks from his phone
Yoongi’s the one that really talks to you while you’re all eating
Jimin is honestly a sweetheart so when he sees Yoongi actually asking about your life, he feels guilty and joins in on the conversation
Yoongi finds that you and him actually have quite a few things to bond over
Jimin’s surprised at how funny you actually are
Once you got comfortable in the conversation, you said a few jokes here and there that made Jimin and whoever else listening at least smiles
Neither Jimin or Jungkook are thrilled at how easy is it for you to make Jimin laugh but the blush on Jimin’s cheeks show he doesn’t care about it nearly as much as Jungkook
If anything, this means more competition for Jungkook as you’re already close in age so he might lose the spot of maknae and now he has one more person to fight for attention with
Namjoon and Jin are honestly the most mature ones in the group so they’ve let go of any grudges they had after the first few days upon meeting you
Namjoon’s happy getting to know you at the pace you’re comfortable at, though for the most part, seeing he has to worry less about how to cover up the tension between you and everyone else, lifts a huge weight off his shoulders
He can make an excuse as to why Jungkook or Taehyung may be quiet and trusts them to not actually let their personal feelings ruin an interview/performance
You find out two months into preparing for the comeback that you’re still not allowed in group photos with everyone
You and the other members are doing a small, unannounced appearance and at the end, took a photo with the interviewer/crew members
That is until your manager pulls you from the photo and keeps you to the side where the camera can’t see you
Your name may have been announced but BigHit wants to keep your identity secret for the most part until the comeback stage
Taehyung can’t help but be drawn back to when he was kept hidden as a secret member and recalls exactly how it felt when he was pulled from photos
With this, Taehyung realizes that you haven’t put out any videos/vlives since joining them even though they all have
This is the final push it takes for Taehyung’s behavior to change towards you
Instead of sticking with Jungkook, he actually starts seeking you out when you guys have small breaks and joins you and whoever else during meals
At this point, you’re already on a good basis with everyone else and are closest to Yoongi, Jimin, and oddly Hoseok
Hoseok sort of took you under his wing when one night, you asked him for help with the choreo and eventually delved into how you loved dancing as a child
Hoseok thought it was cute the way your eyes lit on when talking about it and saw a bit of himself in you
On one of the rougher days, Taehyung overhears you crying after repeatedly being barred from photos/appearances with the other members
Taehyung becomes extremely determined from that day to offer unconditional emotional support
Whenever you’re alone, if no one joins you, Taehyung’s right there by your side
If one of the instructors/producers/managers is harsh with you, Taehyung is there to defend you or make you feel better after
If you’re not allowed to take a photo/video with them, Taehyung makes them ten after to store for when you are officially introduced to ARMY
Jungkook only warms up to you after seeing the other members get close to you
He didn’t tell anyone, but he’s secretly happy that there’s another member that’s the same age as him
Because honestly, having to constantly live up to the name Golden Maknae, is a lot of pressure
He hopes that with you being there, Army may stop expecting so much of him and he’ll have more room to simply be a person in their 20’s
Only when Jungkook gives you a chance, does he find that you can match his chaotic energy
He invites you to the gym a couple times and ends up having fun
Jungkook also invites himself to your’s and Jin’s mukbangs
Jin began having mukbangs specifically for you because you told him how little food you had tried that he had grown up with and took on as a personal mission to introduce to you Korean cuisine
With you, Jin, and Jungkook all in the same room, things sometimes get out of hand and sometimes noodles may or may not be thrown
Jungkook also discovers that he immensely enjoys picking you up
(Because let's be honest, you probably have a muscle kink like Jimin, at least when it comes to Jungkook)
Namjoon finds it hilarious that Jungkook will just pick you up and walk off with you
Jimin gets a little jealous but he can’t stay mad at you and Jungkook easily finds a balance between you two
Jin’s just happy that Jungkook leaves him alone now that he’s focused on you
On top of being randomly carried around, you also find that the members have practically no personal boundaries with each other
Sure, if someone is upset or wants to be alone, they’re left alone, but when all in one room, your body is fair game to everyone
There’s a lot more ass slapping then you expected to come along with debuting
Ass slapping, ass grabbing, ass petting?????
And you weirdly learn that everyone is okay with their crotches being touched/touching others’ crotches
Especially Hoseok and Jungkook
You’re no longer lonely either because someone is always cuddling with you
You walk past Jungkook or Taehyung while they’re sitting and they pull you onto to their lap
Jimin will help you stretch and if you’re not required to rehearse, just stays there
Namjoon, Hoseok, and Jin aren’t as openly needy as the hyung line, but if you all have to fit onto a small couch, they’re more than happy to have you be on their lap or be sitting in very close quarters with you
Yoongi is the one you thought that didn’t actually like cuddling for some time but he never objects when you wrap your arms around his waist, hug him, or literally crawl on top of him when he’s trying to nap
You even one day as a joke, crawled into Yoongi’s lap while he was working in his studio so that you were chest to chest and you had your legs wrapped around him and he simply kept on working
You stayed in that position for so long and Yoongi becomes extremely quiet when focused that you dozed in and out for some time
When Yoongi decided to call it a night, he had to wake you up and you were incredibly sleepy at that point so he just brought you to his apartment since it was closer and safer than you traveling back to yours alone
Newsflash: Yoongi becomes an incredibly big cuddler when unconscious
By the time you perform your comeback stage, BTS is incredibly whipped for you
Army first makes you number one on trending news when the music video/dance videos are released and you have a few performances
They all can’t help but notice how much the members of BTS love you in the first big interviews aired
You become integrated into Army culture seemingly overnight
Namjoon will show you memes on twitter where a fan may be calling out how handsy Jungkook was with you last interview
Or memes of Namjoon or Hoseok getting angry at members but when you do something, they’ll automatically let you off the hook and coddle you
Memes of how you’re just another hot person that Jimin’s collected
You’re shocked that so many fans actually like you and accept you because you were incredibly nervous that you would become hated for joining the group
Of course, there are still fans that are extremely protective of the boys or simply don’t agree with the group dynamic being changed, and so they come after you
For a little while, BigHit has to up security because some fans are so put off that they actually write you death threats
Hoseok and Jimin are the first ones to help you when you have a panic attack or get overwhelmed by fan presence as Hoseok has had panic attacks and Jimin’s dealt with death threats as well
Taehyung, of course, is quick to help right after them
Taehyung and Jungkook have had bad experiences being chased/mobbed by fans so they always stay close by you in airports/entering buildings/and any other place that attracts large enough groups they need security
Namjoon is incredibly grateful for you joining though, especially after the comeback because you’re able to help with translations for the members that still struggle with English
Jungkook has been dedicating to learning the language and for the most part, doesn’t need your help but he’ll still come to you to practice having conversations in English
Jimin also likes to play this fun game with you, Namjoon, and technically Jungkook since he’s able to translate if he wants, where he’ll say extremely flirty things and watches you and Namjoon squirm for a couple minutes because he knows you can’t translate what he actually said in an interview
Luckily he only does this for interviews that aren’t aired on tv and are made easily rewindable by Army
Yoongi and Hoseok have a field day with Jimin’s game too
Yoongi and Hoseok will just laugh when Jimin says something but once all cameras are off, they’ll repeat Jimin’s pick up lines to you and Namjoon leaving both of you a blushing mess
Yoongi does the same thing too in a way but instead of flirting, he’ll just say something inappropriate
He tries to tell younger Army constantly that things like stealing and dropping out of school are okay
Which huge ass nerd Namjoon quickly cuts him off
Yoongi and Jimin honestly feed into each other while doing this
Sometimes you and Jungkook team up on teasing Hoseok, using complicated English words and laughing when Hoseok pretends to know what you guys are saying even though everyone knows he doesn’t
Y’all will continue to do this until someone else calls Hoseok out
But it's all in good fun so no one actually gets upset
Overall, you being added to BTS went much better than you were expecting and you’ve grown so close to the boys that none of you can no longer imagine the group having any less than eight members

Haechan soulmate!au
Another soulmate!au!!!!
This time it’s with Haechan ^-^
These are really fun to write ngl especially when I procrastinate oops
ANYWAYS
Everyone is born with a soulmate mark when they’re born
And you and your soulmate had a mark where both of your days accomplishments are written on your wrists
And it resets every day at 12 a.m.
When you finally meet your soulmate, the words on your wrist turn gold
So you’re younger than Haechan
By 2 ½ years if you’re me
So one day when toddler!Haechan was running around playing he felt a tingle on his wrist
He got scared and saw words forming on his arm
Which then he ran off to his parents and showed them, and much to their relief it said “Born” while your wrist said something like “Went up the stairs without any help” idk what 2 year olds do
Fast forward a couple of years, you began to notice the strange words that formed on your wrist
You could tell that your soulmate was older than you since their accomplishments were much more advanced than yours
Obviously, wanting to remember all of them, you would write them all down in a book
However, due to the huge time differences, your wrist was always changing at 10 a.m. and your soulmate’s would change at 2 p.m. (Since that was equivalent to 12 a.m. in each others respective times)
As you two got older it said stuff that were more school or work related and less regarding your personal life If I had a soulmate with this mark if would probably be “stressed out about an AP class” everyday
ANYWAYS
You figured out that your soulmate was probably someone who was either in the music industry, or just someone who took a lot of music videos for a class because you always had “Practiced for the comeback” or “Filmed the music video”
One fine day your best friend decided to show you this new kpop group that had just debuted called NCT!
Ngl you were really impressed by their music and choreography and visuals
But you had a soulmate to stay loyal to so you never took much consideration to their looks, but rather to their musicality
The day your friend showed you the music video Haechan’s wrist said “Got introduced to a new kpop group called NCT”
Which he freaked out and caused him to run around the dorms yelling “MY SOULMATE KNOWS ABOUT ME”
Cue Johnny going “Well duh they’re your soulmate they kind of need to know about you without knowing you”
Fast forward a couple of years, you were still a huge fan of NCT
Especially this member called Haechan who had the voice of a thousand angels singing where’s the lie though
NCT had just dropped the U.S. tour dates and you found out that they were coming to your city!!!! And to make it better they were having a fan meet as well!!!!!
Your friend managed to book tickets for you both and surprised you with them
Cue you screaming like a pterodactyl in the middle of a cafe
The special day finally came and you were ecstatic to meet all the members
You soulmate mark kept changing at random times of the day, and each time it got closer and closer to 12 a.m. in your time one
Which made you really happy because my soulmate’s probably somewhere near me!
Back to the story
While you were getting ready you looked down at your wrist and saw “Meeting my soulmate today” which caused you to internally scream and nearly drop your hair brush
Meeting NCT and your soulmate in one day? Today’s one lucky day for you
Over in NCT’s hotel room, Haechan was freaking out over the fact that his arm said “Going to an NCT fansign today”
He also screamed like a pterodactyl but that’s beside the point
You and your friend got there, sitting (quite nervously might I add) waiting for your turn to meet the NCT members
And while you were waiting you looked around to see if anyone else’s wrist matched yours
While Hyuck was backstage worrying about if he looked good enough for his soulmate and if they would like him
When it finally got to your turn, you were sweating b u l l e t s
The first member that you got to talk to was Jaehyun
Who greeted you very sweetly and made jokes to ease you from your nervousness
Skip to four members later
You finally got to Hyuck
Who looked absolutely adorable with his cute little smile and mannerisms
He greeted you but got cut off by a burning pain that was travelling through his wrist
You felt the same pain as well and crumpled on the ground bending at the waist while clutching your wrist tightly
You looked at your wrist which now held golden words instead of the usual black print
When you saw your wrist you immediately looked up and were met with the same surprised expression from Hyuck
The other members looked at the both of you and realised that something was going on
And based on your faces, they could tell that the both of you were soulmates
Cue your friend nearly tackling you out of excitement
Hyuck got the security guard to take you backstage after the fansign was over so that he could formally meet you
After everyone got their albums signed and you got to meet the rest of the members, you finally got to meet your soulmate
Which consisted of the both of you just staring at each other in disbelief for the first few minutes
After that you two shyly introduced yourselves to each other and once you left the room you were met with the NCT members tackling themselves on you and bombarding you with millions of questions
Overall, you and Hyuck had a very cute relationship and was filled with the two of you being soft for each other and pulling pranks on the other members :’)

The Real Truth.
Mia + Stray Kids
mia finally tells the rest of the group about her future plans and in the end mia finds out how chan truly feels with her doing activities outside of stray kids.
hope you guys enjoy! please feel free to leave some feedback because it is always appreciated!
[9th Member of Stray Kids]
Mia took a deep breath as she paced around in her room. In a couple of seconds she was going to go out in the living room and tell the rest of her members about her plans with Elsy. She didn’t know exactly how she was going to tell them and also how the others would react. Mia wanted them to know the news as soon as possible.
In the end, all she wanted was their full support because all of this was new to her.
“Okay.” Mia breathed out, coming out of her room and entering the living room.
Changbin and Felix were in the kitchen cooking while Minho and Hyunjin were sat on the table. Mia took one glance at them and they noticed she looked nervous. The both of them knew what Mia was going to do, so they each gave her a thumbs up in approval.
It slightly made her feel at ease, knowing that right now two of them were showing support in her. Without wasting another second, Mia began talking to catch their attention. “Um, can I talk to all of you?”
“What is it?” Changbin questioned as he walked closer to the girl.
They had all gathered in the living room, giving Mia their full attention as she stood in front of them. She bit her lip just a little as she tried gathering her thoughts. “I’m just gonna go out and say it. I am going to participate in a girl project the contains Elsy and I.”
Silence filled the room as all boys stared at Mia. Hyunjin and Minho were the only ones who were smiling, already knowing the news.
Chan was the first to say something as he looked at the girl confused. “You’re doing a what?”
“A girl project. With Elsy and I.” Mia said again.
“What does that it even mean, what exactly are you doing?”
“It’s going to be us making a song together and we’re going to promote it... together.”
Jisung looked at Chan then back at Mia. “Will it just be a song you’re doing?”
Mia shook her head, causing Chan to lift an eyebrow. He glanced at Changbin and made a face expression, signaling if he knew anything about this. Changbin was quick to shrug his shoulders as he shook his head no as well.
“No, well the song will be the title track-“
“Title track?” Chan questioned. “As in there’s more to this?”
“Yes.” Mia nodded. “There’s going to be an album and music video involved.”
Almost everyone’s eyes turned wide. “So you’re basically re-debuting, except with Elsy as a duo?” Changbin questioned.
“Basically, yeah.” Mia said softly. She brought her eyes to Chan, who was facing the other way, not even looking at Mia. Although she couldn’t see it, she could already telling he wasn’t taking the news so well.
“Listen, I’m not asking for much and I’ve been debating back and forth on how to tell you guys this because I was scared on how you guys would take it, but all I’m asking for is for your support.” Mia said. “This is all new to me and I’ve never done things without you guys but yeah, that’s just all I want-“
“How long have you known about this?” Chan then spoke up again.
“Um, around the first week of promotion.”
Chan’s eyes narrowed at Mia as he furrowed his eyebrows. “And you decide to tell us this now?”
“Well yeah, because at the time I didn’t know whether I wanted to do it or not-“
“And went ahead and decided yes, without talking to us?”
Changbin began hearing the way Chan’s tone in voice was changing in every word he spoke, causing Mia to become nervous. “Hey, tone it down will you?”
Chan simply ignored him and continued to stare at Mia. “I talked to Hyunjin and Minho about it-“
“And it didn’t cross your mind to talk to us as well?”
“Yes, of course, but I was nervous on how you guys would react which is why I went to them first. And I wanted to tell you guys when everything was settled for this project.”
“So you can’t get out of it?”
“No.” Mia shook her head. “Why would I even do that? We already had a meeting for all of this.”
“You already had a meeting?” Chan asked standing up. “So all this time while we’ve been promoting, you’ve been planning on something else aside from us?”
“N-no.” Mia stuttered. “Well, kind of, but we’re barely on the beginning of planning. Which is why I wanted to tell you guys now instead of keeping it a-“
“Secret.” Chan finished Mia’s sentence, crossing his arms. “You didn’t want to keep it a secret.”
The whole room became silent as Mia looked down at her feet. This was exactly what she had feared happening.
“That’s enough.” Changbin said, standing up as well. “I don’t get how you can act like that towards your own member.”
“I just find it odd how she promised no more secrets but when ahead and hid this one.”
“I wasn’t hiding anything!” Mia snapped. “I only kept this for myself for a little while because I know how you tend to get! Which is exactly what you’re doing right now!”
Minho sighed. “Here we go again.” He whispered to Hyunjin.
“Can we talk about this, in private?” Chan asked. The last thing he wanted was to cause a scene in front of the members.
“Fine.”
Chan was the first to move, walking until he was in his room.
“If it makes you feel any better, we’re definitely going to support you.” Jeongin smiled, trying to cheer Mia up. The rest of the group agreed with him.
“Thanks guys.” Mia softly smiled. She took one glance at Changbin, who smiled back at her, before walking into Chan’s room.
“Alright Bang, what is it that you want to talk about?”
“I just don’t know how to feel about this, I mean how do you expect me to support you when you’re still keeping secrets.”
Mia glared at Chan, her eyes were beginning to get teary as she got more irritated by him. “I was not keeping secrets, Chan! And honestly the only secret I have kept from you is Changbin and I dating! You’re acting as if I’m this horrible person that’s constantly lying. Which is exactly why I didn’t even come to you in the first place because I know how you get!”
“I just.” Chan sighed. “I just don’t want you to go through with this.”
Mia closed her eyes shut as a few tears slipped. She was both angry and upset. “Why?” She choked up. “Why can’t you just be happy for me? I’m actually really excited about this project and I want your support, Chan. Why do you have to act like this?”
“I... don’t know.”
“No, you do know!” Mia began talking louder again. “You constantly attack me when it comes to this type of stuff and I want to know why!”
Chan became silent which made Mia get more irritated by the second. “Why, Chan?!”
“Because I know you don’t need us!”
Mia was taken back by his sudden outburst, causing her to move back a bit. She furrowed her eyebrows. “What is that supposed to mean? Of course I need you guys, you guys are my team.”
Chan sighed, sitting on his bed and patted for Mia to take a sit next to him. He knew Mia had every right to know how he truly feels.
“Truth is, the reason why I get like this is because I know you don’t need us. You’re a very talented person who can literally do it all. With us, or if you were in another group or solo artist, you always shine because there’s just something special about you.” He swallowed. “Remember when I asked you to be in the group?”
Mia nodded. “Yeah, you looked like a stalker when you were peaking through the window before you asked me.”
The two let out a small laugh. “Beside the point.” Chan sighed as he gathered what he wanted to say. “I know you were a bit hesitant when saying yes to me which made me do everything I could to make you comfortable when joining the team because I didn’t want you and still don’t want you to have any regrets about your decision. Because I know you basically threw being in Itzy down the drain.
“Chan.” Mia spoke softly as more tears began to spill down her face. “I don’t have any regrets, I love being with you guys. You guys are literally everything to me and I couldn’t imagine my life without any of you in it. Saying yes to you was the best decision I ever made.”
The older boy let out a deep breath after hearing Mia’s words. “God, I feel horrible. I did it again.”
“I guess I’m just really insecure about this because what if you end up liking this more than when being with us? I don’t want you to leave us, you are so important to this group that we would be incomplete without you. I remember telling the others we were missing something and thank god I found you.”
“You loser, I’m not going anywhere. You guys are stuck with me forever.” Mia laughed, she went in for a side hug. “The second you put me in this group I made a commitment and have always tried to prove myself that I was worthy enough to be here.”
Now it was Chan who was taken back from Mia’s words. “You’ll always be worthy enough, Mia.”
Mia let out a sigh. “I don’t want to argue anymore, I hate when we do this. It’s pointless.”
“Me either. I will say we have gotten better at actually talking it out.”
“We have.” Mia smiled.
There was a comfortable silence between the two as they continued to hug each other before Chan spoke up again. “How did this project even come about?”
“It was Elsy’s idea. Jyp offered her a solo project but gave him the idea of us two working together instead and he loved the idea.”
Chan swallowed hard. “It was her idea?”
“Mhm.” Mia hummed.
“Hm, how great.” Chan said, slowly growing irritated.
Mia didn’t seem to notice the way Chan had said it sarcastically. “You should talk to her.” Mia said. “She misses you.”
“Yeah, I think I will.”

[INTERVIEW] Lay - 200819 Rolling Stone India: “How Lay Zhang Claimed The Throne of M-pop”
"The singer-songwriter and producer offers an in-depth look into his latest record ‘Lit,’ his evolution as an artist and finding the balance between East and West
When I last spoke to Lay Zhang in 2018, he was embarking on an ambitious but daunting journey to bring Mandarin pop aka M-pop to the world. “I hope they think, ‘This artist isn’t bad,’” he had said with some trepidation in his voice. “I hope that they find my music special and maybe… they’ll want to learn more about me and Chinese music.” The singer-songwriter and producer aspired to create a true hybrid of traditional and modern music, a sound that defines our generation’s ability to package the past for the future.
Zhang, more commonly known by his stage name LAY, first debuted in 2012 as a member of world-famous K-pop group, EXO. Although he remains a member of the group, he’s spent the last couple of years in China to focus on a solo career and spotlight his own country’s burgeoning pop scene. It’s a process he kicked off with his second studio album Namanana in 2018, but he was still some time away from realizing his dream of pushing Chinese pop to a global stage.
It’s been nearly two years since our conversation for Rolling Stone India’s November 2018 cover feature, and any signs of trepidation are a thing of the past for LAY. We could chalk it up to him being two years older and wiser, but I’d like to think it’s because he kept his promise to bring M-pop to the world. If Namanana was just a dip in the pool of fusion experimentation, his latest studio album Lit is the deep dive.
“It is the evolution of M-pop for me,” LAY explains. “I wanted to take it to another level. When you hear the Chinese instruments, you know it is a different sound and vibe. The style is more pop, R&B, and hip-hop influenced with the Chinese instruments thoughtfully mixed in.” Comprising a total of 12 songs (all written and co-produced by LAY) Lit was released as two EPs instead of one LP; the first dropped in June while the second made its appearance in July. Nearly every track presents a fresh blend of traditional Chinese instruments like the hulusi, guzheng, flutes and gong with modern genres like trap, R&B, soul, hip-hop, future bass, dubstep and more. It’s a complex, refined and intricate record, utilizing production techniques that clearly outline LAY’s growth as an artist over the past two years. In retrospect, Namanana comes across a slightly more naive record–innocent and optimistic with a hope that international audiences would embrace both M-pop and LAY. Lit however seeks to take a different path and carves out the future LAY envisions with cool confidence and fearless production.
The tracks seesaw smoothly from Mandarin to English and back, with LAY showcasing both his vocal and rap skills. It’s an extremely powerful and expansive album, hair-raising at some moments due to the sheer surprises the artist packs in (at one point I hear what sounds like the tabla on “Call My Name” and it catches me totally off-guard.) Some of the collaborators on the record include big names like hip-hop hitmaker Murda Beatz, Grammy Award-winning producer Scott Storch, composer and producer Mitchell Owens and Grammy-nominated songwriter Mike Daley to name a few. For the title track “Lit,” LAY recruited China-native Anti-General who created a vicious and chilling trap/dubstep beat to complement lyrics that decimate LAY’s haters, gossip-mongers and the media, challenging them to come forward and take him down if they dare. The track sees the singer-songwriter rightfully crown himself a ‘king’ and leader in the music industry.
If that wasn’t enough, the music video for “Lit” is without a doubt one of the best released in 2020. With hundreds of extras, dancers, impeccable CGI and a compelling storyline, it’s more movie than music video, portraying LAY as a warrior king who refuses to be defeated. As executive producer, music director and co-choreographer on the project, LAY pays homage to China’s rich history and culture with tons of historical references and traditional symbolism. I tell him I particularly loved the symbolism of a white lotus emerging untouched and pure from the black ink–representing LAY’s rise in the industry–and he shares that the magnificent dragon that appears at the end was his personal favorite. “It was super important that we added it in,” he says. “It represents my wishes, aspirations and my relentless desire to always pursue perfection in the works that I create. I want my dancing, visuals, and music to be the very best it possibly can be.”
Lit is also thematically more complex and layered than any of LAY’s previous works, exploring concepts that revolve around confidence, love, fame, the media, success and more. “The album continues to explore chasing your dream,” the singer explains. “This time it’s about more personal things in my life. Like hometown, family and self-doubt.” A phonetic play on the word for lotus (莲 / lian) in Mandarin, ‘lit’ is a clever pun used to describe LAY’s similarity to a lotus and his prowess as a musician. He named the album after the lotus because of the symbolism of it growing and blossoming from dirt or mud. The lotus also continues the theme of duality with Lit’s two-part release, and, according to LAY’s team, “represents a new birth plus a new sound in the midst of all his past achievements.”
The album’s success more than speaks for itself– when the pre-order for Lit went live on China’s QQ Music streaming platform, nine certification records were instantly broken as it surpassed 1.5 million pre-orders within seven minutes and 19 seconds. This immediately pushed the EP to Number One on QQ Music’s daily and weekly album sales charts. Lit has also made LAY the best-selling artist in China in 2020, with a whopping 2.5 million records sold. It’s a testament to his drive and determination as an artist, the attention to detail and refusal to back down. The record’s international success was no less, hitting top 10 positions on iTunes charts across 32 countries, bagging 21 Number One spots and firmly cementing LAY’s position as the global megastar that he is.
Some things however, never change; brand deals, TV shows, multiple singles, EPs and collaborations keep his schedule completely booked and– just like back in 2018– it’s extremely tough to pin him down for a conversation. He’s currently in the middle of filming a reality show and has several other projects in the pipeline, but still makes the time to catch up and answer a few questions for Rolling Stone India. In this exclusive interview, LAY details his most successful record yet, the journey of finding the balance between East and West, dealing with the dark side of media attention and why the relationship between an artist and their fans needs to be a two-way street.
Congratulations on the release and tremendous success of Lit! It is an absolutely phenomenal record and I was thrilled to see you explore so many new streams of production. Can you tell me a little bit about the process of making this album and do you feel you met your own expectations for it?
For this album I wanted to mix in Chinese traditional instruments and tell Chinese stories. It is the evolution of M-pop for me. I wanted to take it to another level. When you hear the Chinese instruments you know it is a different sound and vibe. It is hard to say if I met my own expectations. As an artist you never ever feel your work is perfect. You can always find spots where you can improve. But I think what I was able to do with my team in the time we had was great.
You dove deeper into the fusion of tradition and modernity on this album than Namanana—there was a larger variety of Chinese instruments used as well as bilingual wordplay with language in the lyrics. In what ways do you feel you’ve evolved as a producer and songwriter since that album to Lit?
I am still trying to find the right style and combination to share my music and Chinese culture with the world. Lit was an example of my growth. I had this desire to include traditional stories and instruments from Chinese culture. Trying to find the balance with the Western music was challenging. I had to think and spend a lot of time arranging the chords around and fitting everything together. Also with this album I am talking about things in a more personal level and taking time to explain with more of an artistic style. I feel like I am growing up on this journey.
Lit is the first part of a series of EPs which will make a whole LP—why did you want to release it in this format and when did you begin working on the record?
I split it into two parts to give time to people to listen to it. I feel like if I released 12 songs at once, people may not give enough time to listen to each track. But when there are just six tracks each time, then it gives people time to listen more carefully. I started this project maybe early 2019.
The title track “Lit” is about your battle with the media, hateful netizens and malicious comments/rumors. Does it get easier over time to deal with this obsessive analysis of your life or does it never really ebb away?
It will always bother you, but over time you learn to deal with it. You focus on it less and less and back on what you love doing. When I make my music or learn dance or do anything I love, I kind of forget about it. Just focus on your goals and dreams and everything else becomes background noise.
The music for “Lit” is, in my opinion, the best of 2020 so far. Can you tell me a little about your role as the executive producer and music director on this project? How did the concept come about?
I was very involved in the project. I oversaw a lot of things that happened and discussed with almost everyone on the team on how to achieve my vision. When I was making the song I was thinking about how do we share Chinese culture. I thought filming in an ancient palace would catch people’s attention. It took off from there when discussing with the director. We started adding more and more elements of Chinese culture. We were trying to tell the story of Xiang Yu, a warlord who rebelled against the mighty Qin Dynasty but wasn’t able to conquer China. I’m Xiang Yu, but I’m trying to change my fate and succeed in my goal.
You incorporated Chinese Peking Opera in the music video version of the track and visual elements of Peking Opera in the album art for “Jade”–What was the motivation behind that decision and is there a particular story that the opera section references?
I wanted to bring people back in time to ancient China. I reference the traditional Chinese story of Xiang Yu and his love, Concubine Yu, so then I added in select passages from the Peking Opera Farewell My Concubine which tells their tragic story.
You displayed your incredible skills in dancing in this music video and you recently talked about how dancing was a way for you to show the audience who you are. Did you feel a sense of relief that the audience can see you or understand you a bit better after the release of “Lit”? Can the audience ever truly understand an artist?
It feels good to know people can see me and understand me more. I don’t think people can ever understand an artist completely. But they can relate to many things. I think that is a challenge for an artist to see how they can use their music to connect with people. It is a worthy challenge.
How do you hope that the artist you are today crafts the Lay Zhang of tomorrow?
I always believe in working hard and improving. I hope that the Lay Zhang of tomorrow continues to keep looking for ways to improve his art. I hope he never gives up his dreams.
Last time we spoke, we talked about Asian traditions represented in global mainstream pop culture. Now as you’ve grown as a megastar, you are one of the leading names in pop filling that space, bringing your heritage to the stage. Why is it important for our generation to see ourselves and our histories represented on these platforms by artists?
It is important for people to remember where they come from. They should know their own history and how their culture came to be. Also, it lets other people know another culture and have a deeper understanding. It can stop miscommunication and it helps people be closer to each other.
Why do fans need to see themselves in an artist? Does it work the same on the other side, do you as an artist see yourself in your fans?
I want fans to be able to relate with an artist. It is important for a fan to see themselves in artist and an artist to see themselves in a fan. When you can see each other you are able to understand each other better. You can connect with each other and really feel things.
I absolutely love the ‘Re-Reaction’ videos you have been doing for years and it means a lot to your fans that you take the time to do it. Why did you want to do this series and what does it mean to you to be able to connect with your fans like this and see them react to your work?
I am curious to know what fans and people think of my work. I want to know where I can improve. I want to keep growing as an artist. But also I want to let my fans know that I am reading their comments and I see everything they say.
Other than releasing more music, what are the rest of your plans for 2020? Do you have any film projects that you’re looking at taking up or are you planning on doing something completely different?
I am busy filming a TV drama and a few reality TV shows for the rest of 2020. A very busy schedule.”

Scenario - Knowing Bros Episode 200
Anon - can you do a chapter on knowing bros ep 200 with sky and the members. Thank u!!!
I did my best and tried to only get Sky content with the members of course. I hope you like it!
The credit belongs to the show, with my little twist here and there!
Sky’s P.O.V~
Another episode of Knowing Brothers. The 200th episode to be exact. And what better way to celebrate it by having the members join. Just like the 100th episode, the members are back. All 10 of us and I couldn't be happier.
Today I’m in a different schoolgirl outfit than I usually am for filming because I’ll be on the other side.
All the knowing bro’s cast was wondering where Heechul and I were since we aren't at our seats. They kept yelling our names and Heechul and I decided to walk through the door of where the guest comes in. The cast looks confused, “We’re here as singers today.” I said. “Yeah, We’re not about of Knowing Bro’s today.” Heechul then said after me. The cast kept wanting us to sit down, not liking the sudden change.
“We brought some friends today,” Heechul said.
“Indeed we did. Come out here!” I said and the rest of the Super Junior members came along. I stood back, pushing lightly at the members to all stand at the front. Heechul and I are standing on opposite ends. Us members and the cast all clapped and cheered as we all gathered around the front.
“We’re from “We are Back After 100 Episode″ High. We are Super Juni-” Leeteuk said.
“Or!” All us members said and did our hand poses. Everyone cheered again and I smiled proudly. The Knowing Bros cast tried to copy us, but instead of Super Junior, it was Knowing Brothers, which turned out... not good at all.
“Wow, that was a fail. Glad to say I’m with the members and not the cast.” I said and smiled after everyone laughed.
“It seemed like they made it up,” Leeteuk said.
“I got a shock. It seemed a little rushed” Heechul said after.
Kang Ho Dong then started to explain how amazing the group Super Junior is and how we released a new song called “Super Clap” and are now joining them for their 200th episode. Then Kyuhyun explained how we all came here not knowing it was the 200th episode, we just found out before we started recording.
“I honestly didn't expect this show to reach 200 episodes,” Leeteuk said.
Then Shindong and the cast began to talk about how the show would have gotten canceled because of how risky it was at the beginning. Then, of course, Shindong got cocky and said he was the one that made the show alive after he danced with JYP perfectly.
Then, of course, Lee Soo Geun talked about how Leeteuk looked like a tour guide especially with the bag. Leeteuk then proceeded to act like one, which got a huge reaction from our reaction man, Siwon.
Finally, we got to introduce ourselves and Shindong came up with the idea of doing it like how we used to in debut years since our album title is called “Timeslip”.
“Hello, I’m “Cinderella” Kim Heechul,” Heechul said. Then he explained that it was his social media username in the past and that he had to go home in the past and that he had to go home or go out at 12:00 AM.
“Hello, I’m a special leader of this world, the angel who lost his wings, Teuk, Teuk, Leeteuk!” Leeteuk said, even doing his old hand gestures. I giggled to myself, thinking he is still cute to this day.
Then Before Yesung started, Ho Dong said he lost weight and Yesung began saying that his face his swollen today. Then we all made fun of him about how he has no face at all making everyone laugh. “Hello. I’m the lead vocalist of Super Junior, with the voice of an artist. I’m Yesung. Nice to meet you.”
“Hello. I’m Donghae, who is cuter than the animation Finding Nemo. ” Everyone laughed and I smiled wide, nodding my head in agreement. He sure looks like him.
Everyone was curious about Siwon’s introduction and how he is handsome. What will come to them is a surprise, but to them, not to us. “Hello. I’m Choi Siwon.” And that was it. Nothing more to explain about him, making me roll my eyes in a joking matter.
Since Shindong was on Popopo at the time, the name of his character was “Dongridong” so he used it in his introduction. “Hello, Donridong, Dong, Dong... I’m Talented Shindond,” He did, with his hand movements as well.
“Hello, I’m self-illuminating handsome jewel, Lee Hyuk Jae.” 'Everyone chuckled because it wasn't his stage name, he then explained that he often forgot his stage name and just used his regular name instead. “He really is stupid, huh?” I pointed at him, looking at the cast, making them laugh. Eunhyuk just staring me down, trying to get through an episode without us ending up arguing.
“Hello, I’m Super Junior’s vocalist, one of the youngest member’s Ryeowook.” Everyone forgets that he is older than Kyuhyun and me, especially since he looks young as well.
It was finally Kyuhyun’s turn and he stepped back, “ I used to kind of hesitate. I was introverted and lacked confidence. When we were standing, I would stand slightly behind.” Everyone laughed. “I swear he did this and I felt bad all the time. I tried to bring him to the front and he would always just find someone to slightly stand behind.” I explained to everyone. Kyuhyun got into his act, looking at everyone first, then began talking with no eye contact with anyone and talking quieter, “ Hello, I’m Super Junior’s new member, Kyuhyun.”
Finally, it was my turn. I bowed and said energetically, “Hello, I’m the only girl who’s the cutest of them all, Ji Sky!” Also adding my poses was putting a peace sign to my eyes, with a wink. Everyone awed, “She’s still cute now, oh gosh!” Heechul said. Everyone agrees.
After introductions, Ho Dong explained about our album concept and how almost all of our hair colors are different, and about how we picked our own style this time around. Which made everyone to proceed to attack Eunhyuk because of his bright ass hair that no one wanted to see. “I sometimes wonder if Leeteuk is the attention seeker or Eunhyuk,” I said, making the members laugh. Then we also talked about Siwon’s hair and how it’s the rich hairstyle of a young businessman, which also targeted Seo Jang Hoon who has the same hairstyle.
We then proceeded to talk about how it's our first time back with all the members back from discharge. “Sky, how did you feel when the members kept coming and going because of their military service?” Lee Sang Min asked me. I thought for a moment, already feeling a little emotional, “They are my brothers, almost my whole lives have been about them. Seeing the members come and go was very hard. I knew they were doing a great job, but I couldn't help but feel selfish. I get lonely easily and sometimes I go to specific members for different things, so at times when I needed them for that certain thing, they weren't there. It took me a while to process it and understand. After more members started to leave, I accepted it more. When we were on our hiatus that’s when it hit me hard. Because for a couple of years we went and all did our own thing. It was very weird. But I’m happy, we’re all back together because now they get to deal with me again.” I laughed at the end, making sure tears didn't fully come out. Everyone chuckled, “She tried to make it funny so she didn’t cry,” Kyuhyun said, laughing and giving me a side hug. I smiled and leaned into him, “She learned that from me” Heechul said.
After we proceeded to talk about other topics. Such as; Leeteuk being the most complicated when it comes to our upcoming tour because of how much he messages us, Us members saying happy birthday to Ryeowook in a group chat that he isn't even a part of, Who visited Ryeowook in the military, Heechul and I suddenly becoming awkward because we aren't in our original spots on the show, Leeteuk being popular among elders even J-Hope’s family, after Yesung’s confession about Ho Dong other victims came and talked about their trauma with ho dong which led to Kyuhyun talking about that one incident with yesung and Ho Dong, Siwon having a bad experience with Jang Hoon when he was a kid, and Kyuhyun being the Genie on Masked Singer.
Eunhyuk got to do his interpretation of our song “I think I” by dancing and he never fails to impress me. In which not many people know right now, but we just started dating recently and it’s so hard for me to not have a bigger reaction like I wanted.
After we got to talk about Shindong and how he is the best at dancing of all of SM and even trainees use this one video to audition or do a cover of it. Shindong then proceeded to redo that dance, which had a great storyline. During towards the end of the song, the old Dance Line used to be a part of it, So Eunhyuk, Donghae, and I stepped up with Shidong, Leeteuk being close behind. We danced with him.
After we all got to sit down with each other, Ryeowook with me, Yesung with Heechul, Eunhyuk with Kyung Hoon, Siwon with Jang Hoon, Donghae with Young Chul, Kyuhyun with Ho Dong, Leeteuk with Soo Geun, and Shindong with Sang Min.
We are playing the game, “I am sorry, I love you.” It’s basically where we get something off our chest about someone else. The other person should apologize after one says something and then, in the end, both say “I love you.” It seems simple enough.
After Leeteuk and Kyuhyun went first, Heechul replaced Kyuhyun’s spot, which got us, members, freaking out not wanting another Incheon battle. So, we went over dramatic with our reactions whenever they said anything about each other. Eventually, they did makeup and no battle happened. Everyone got to confess and misunderstanding and on now asking questions and trying to guess the answer.
After Shindong, it was my turn. “Everyone Listen up, I’m asking the question now,” I said, holding the hammer in my hand and raising an eyebrow, looking at everyone. “Oo~ she thinks she tough,” Eunhyuk said, looking away, which earned a well-deserved glare from me. The members then gasped, “Don’t fight!” they all started to say and the cast was confused. “When they are on a show together they start to sometimes fight and cause an actual argument,” Shindong explained.
“Anyways! I’ll start.” I start reading the card, “Everyone knows I was really young when we debuted, yes?” I looked at everyone, then went back to reading, “What did I use to hate about myself but now I love?”
Everyone “ooo'd” and I examine all of them, everyone looked at each other then started laughing, “Min Kyung Hoon is growing his beard back!” Heechul yelled out. I looked at him and held my hammer ready to fire at him, “What are you thinking about, huh?!”
I walked over to him, hemmer ready in action. “B-breast?” He stuttered laughing and looking away with his face red. I laughed and hit him with the hammer lightly, “Wrong even though that is a good answer.”
I smiled and went back to the front. “I Got it!” Eunhyuk yelled loudly with his hands up. “Your dancing skills?” I glared and walked over to him and hit him hard, making the sound of the toy hammer echo in the room. “Wrong. Plus, I’ve been better than you since trainee years and I was 11.” I walked away from everyone and the boys all laughed.
“I got it! Was it your chubby cheeks? ” Shindong yelled out and I hit him on the shoulder lightly. “Wrong,” I said.
“Kyung Hoon was the closest to it.” The boys started to think.
“I-i got it!” Kyuhyun stood up and I looked at him, “Was it your body figure in general?” he asked.
“You got it!” I said and everyone clapped.
“W-why?” Everyone started to ask.
“Back then I was really young and obviously was still growing. I’ve hated myself for years. My first relationship made it worse for me. And when I am stressed, I eat a lot and then not eat for days because I was scared of my image. My weight would function weird and go to places that made me feel unattractive. Now that I’m older and things balanced out, I enjoy how my body looks. The fat goes to the right places.” I winked at them and sat back down, getting a hug from Ryeowook.
The last segment of today was the Super Scholarship Quiz where we find out who is the best in variety by playing some games. It was very chaotic as usual when it comes to us. I was with Leeteuk, Shindong, and Ryeowook. With Ryeowook and I together. It was an easy win. Us, Super Junior, won the Ice Cream which I was so excited to bring home, I saw Kyuhyun in the corner of my eye, smiling at me.
During one of the questions, Kyuhyun was asked what his girlfriend's name was, which of course was asked by Lee Soo Geun. He wasn’t supposed to ask that, but that man wanted to win. Kyuhyun said “No one” which meant he didn't have one. Then we all bagged on him because he didn't say E.L.F. Leeteuk made me laugh as well when he said, “She must be disappointed” which was funny enough until Heechul slightly mumbles, “At least it wasn’t to a different member then we’d be in trouble. “ And at that moment all the members started yelling and hitting him because we all knew who he was talking about.
In the end, Super Junior is the best of variety shows. We got some good food and then we promoted our new song “Super Clap.” Overall this has been the best time I’ve had since episode 100 of Knowing Bros. Not only am I with my Knowing Brother’s cast family, but I’m also with my Super Junior family.

wait I haven't kept up with LoveLive since μ's and a bit of Aquors what's all the new stuff?
muse and aqours are so old school now lol prepare for a LOT of content rn
basically the next “generation”* of love live after aqours is nijigasaki high school idol club, a group of solo school idols who occasionally perform together.
three of them--emma verde, kanata konoe, and shizuku osaka--were previously unvoiced N rarity cards from school idol festival. a popularity poll was held i think in 2017 asking fans who their favorite N girls were without really explaining what the poll was for, and those three came out on top and became voiced characters in the next series, which at the time was dubbed “perfect dream project” or “PDP” for short (they don’t use that name anymore). the rest are original characters. their anime just finished, you can watch it on funimation or do a little yo-ho-hoing if you know what i mean 🏴☠️ there’s no 2nd season or anything confirmed at this time, but i wouldn’t be surprised if we got one
nijigasaki has kinda broken the mold of muse and aqours in a lot of ways. besides all of them being solo idols instead of a real “group,” they also have 10 members now, instead of 9, and possibly more coming in the future. unlike previous gens, all their seiyuu are pretty experienced singers and voice actresses, and because they’re all so busy they don’t do many livestreams or events all together.
*should be noted that nijigasaki is NOT an official “generation” of love live, they’re a side project that got more popular than the writers intended. they were never even supposed to get an anime in the first place. everybody argues semantics over whether or not niji IS a real love live gen idk i consider them to be but it’s all subjective. the official next gen is:
liella. their group just got named and their seiyuu are doing their first livestream in 2 days where they will probably reveal a preview of their first single. they’re still VERY new, we just barely learned who their seiyuu are. this is a group of all first years who attend yuigaoka, a new school that just opened up after being closed for some time. most of the seiyuu are complete newbies, i think the only one who has a singing career is liyuu, a popular cosplayer who debuted musically in 2020. one of the seiyuu is even still a high school student! this group notably only has 5 members, as opposed to the traditional 9 from previous gens (tho nijigasaki already kinda broke that formula so it’s all up in the air rn). if they follow the same pattern as the other gens, they’ll likely get an anime some time after their 2nd single releases, so probably in 2022.
school idol festival, the game, has mostly stayed the same with a few UI updates. it’s kind of in a weird transitional period rn from corona and also possibly preparing for liella to be added into the game, so it’s really boring to play rn and lots of the cards that come out are really ugly huehue but don’t worry, now there’s
school idol festival all stars. the newest game, it’s a rhythm/strategy RPG with 3d models that perform the song choreography in the background while you play, and you get new outfits by scouting the cards. the game features muse, aqours, and nijigasaki all together, and the story mainly focuses on nijigasaki, with muse and aqours being the experienced groups that they learn from. instead of muse being 5 years older than aqours like in the anime canon, all the characters are the same age in SIFAS. you also play as an actual character now, takasaki yuu, who wants to become a manager to her school’s idol group. here’s a gameplay video from the japanese server, it’s a little outdated but it’s mostly the same. this game is WAY more focused on strategy and scoring than actual rhythm skill. the beatmaps may look simple, but there’s a lot more going on than you might think. i’m not going to outline all the gameplay elements here bc that’s like a million word essay but suffice to say if you’re looking for a regular rhythm game, you might be disappointed here. still, the MVs look nice and the card art is better than ever
also, aqours’s rival group, saint snow, had an official debut! they had a solo concert and a single release and everything! very proud of them
ummmmm love live fes 2020 happened. muse, aqours, saint snow, and nijigasaki all performed together, and it was muse’s first performance since their final live in 2016. it was really special and i cried. muse released a new single too, also their first time releasing music since 2016! they aren’t officially “coming back,” but it’s nice to see them still doing love live stuff from time to time :”) i missed them
that’s like a really bare-bones description of the newest love live developments. there’s SO much stuff i glossed over, like nijigasaki’s 2nd live (which was streamed online w/ no live audience bc of covid), aqours’s 5th anniversary campaign + all their new music, aqours subunit solo lives (azalea’s was postponed twice due to covid and is scheduled to happen in february), more events that got cancelled/postponed, the aqours live in los angeles (I WENT TO IT!!!!! IT WAS AMAZING) where an earthquake happened during the middle of brightest melody lol, lanzhu zhong giving us the first love live song to feature FOUR languages in it, mia taylor giving us the first love live song almost entirely in english, new aqours solo songs and ruby kurosawa’s acid trip of an MV, and lots of other stuff especially in 2020--despite everything, that year was STACKED for love live fans.
that’s basically it tho have fun lol
#sassk#*DEEEEEP BREATH*#side note cotton candy ei ei oh is the best thing to happen to love live in all its 10 year history#long post#does anyone actually block the long post tag#Anonymous

Dear Dream
I know I am so ridiculously late.
But hey, better late than never...
To NCT Dream,
The baby unit of NCT.
The unit of young souls tasked to bring hope and endurance to the world's youths.
The superior unit.
Your current average age is 19.5 years old… barely an adult.
Yet, you have a career that's gone strong for four years (and definitely still counting).
I am not a veteran of the KPop scene so I do not know if your 'formula' has been tried before i.e. a band comprising of literal teenagers to be the inspiration for an entire generation of youths. Most bands I knew had teenagers that were mostly above 16 when they debut and even so, there will be older members in the band.
When you started off in 2016, your oldest member was only 17 years old, and your youngest was 14!
It must have been surreal to have begun your journey as singers, dancers, performers and artists at such a young age!
The music/entertainment industry is very much an 'adult' world. Yet here you are, barely grazing adulthood but already trusted into the bright lights and blazing life of entertainment.
It must have been scary.
But you've made it.
One of you've graduated and became an adult. 4 of you've grown to become adults. One more has just reached his adulthood milestone. And then there's one left.
You guys have grown so, so much. And you guys have grown up so well. You need all the congratulations the world can offer.
You grew up in the limelight of the Kpop industry, in the new age of social media flurry, and in the unprecedented era of KPop world domination.
You grew up well, so well. You've made it.
Your journey is still long and for all the good things in this world, I hope your journey remains long and prosperous.
I have to say, I am very surprised for the affection I feel towards you.
I admit I was weary to 'get into' NCT Dream because of your ages. I felt very uncomfortable that you were very young. Jisung sweetheart, you are a decade my junior.
It felt very strange for me to see what I viewed as literal children to be thrown into limelight.
My experience with childhood stardom is very limited to the Hollywood scene. I've heard what exposure to stardom can do to children. Especially as they grow into teenagers and young adults. It's kinda scary.
But I forgot. Though you may be in the same 'industry' i.e. entertainment; your cultures are so vastly different.
Sure, there have been infamous stories too about the KPop entertainment industry. It is as notorious as Hollywood. There have definitely been stories about your company.
When you first debuted in 2016, I've been listening to KPop for about 4 years. I wasn't an avid fan nor that big of a multi stan. I was a fan of your seniors: EXO.
The change of OT12 to OT9 was definitely an experience for me and it was difficult not to see kpop in tainted lenses after that.
So when I found out that a group of 7 with an average age of just 15.7 years (not even 16!) was to be debuted, I was quick to dismiss it.
You were too young in my eyes.
1. It felt like exploitation. 2. Your concept was too bright for me to appreciate.
So I paid you no attention.
And honestly, I had not paid attention to your brother units either when they debuted (NCT U with the 7th Sense and NCT 127 with Firetruck).
My attention in NCT officially started in 2018, when NCT2018 started. I knew of NCT’s general concept and units, so I was aware of the existence of Dream. I saw you guys appear on Weekly Idol with your hyungs. And that's about it.
I remained fairly distant with Dream for some time, focusing mainly on NCT 127 as they gained momentum in their American debut with Regular.
I continued telling myself that you were too young for my taste. Furthermore, Mark and Haechan were the maknaes of 127, so that solidified my thinking of the seven of you as mere 'babies'.
But as the end of 2018 approached, two significant episodes occured that brought more of my attention to you.
First, Mark was graduating.
I still wasn't an avid fan let alone an NCTzen at that time. I did not keep up with your updates and I do not follow you on any social media platforms. My 'news' of NCT only came in the form of recommended videos on YouTube.
Somehow, Mark's graduation became significant enough to manifest as recommended content on my YouTube recommendations. I was aware of Dream's graduation concept and since I've not invested in the unit, it bothered me not.
The Dream Show happened but it is not exactly fully available online, so I wasn't really aware of its occurrence. I only knew that Mark had officially graduated because of the 'farewell' video on NCT's channel.
I still wasn't fazed much by this as I was generally accepting of the graduation concept. We all grow up and graduation is just part of life. Welcome to adulthood, champ.
What caught my attention was how affected fans were because of this. There were so many videos of 'why mark/7Dream will be missed'. I brushed it off, understanding that Dreamzens were teenagers and emotions run high in that life period.
Then the next major event happened: Haechan/Donghyuck's injury.
It was only at this time that I was fully aware of 'MarkHyuck'. I saw a glimpse of it before but I dismissed it. However, with Haechan out of commission, it spiked.
I am not a shipper. I don't really have that much of an interest in wanting the pairing to be together. But one thing I have definitely developed during this period, was the solid support of Mark's and Haechan's Best Friends Forever friendship.
Perhaps I was more open to the two of you compared to the rest of the Dreamies since I see you interact within 127 more. Perhaps I was more attentive because you both were in 127 and I was at that time paying attention to 127.
Either way, when fans started pointing out how sad it was that the BFFs had to split, I had a small 'aww' moment.
Then what made me went absolutely 🥺 was Mark's year end performances with the Dreamies but it was already 6Dream instead of full strength.
There was that one year end event when Dream performed 'We Go Up' and it appeared to be that Renjun seemed to be sniffling. Of course, fans were quick to interpret it as sadness and all started lamenting that it was the last performance of Mark with Dream in year end promotions but Mark's best friend wasn't there.
Wow, fans are dramatic.
I wasn't hooked but I felt the sadness. I know fans were just projecting their own emotions into what happened and we eventually found out that Renjun was sniffling because he had a nosebleed earlier, not because he was crying.
This somehow made me curious about Dream… and I guess that begun my journey in getting to know Dream.
I think partly because 127 was on tour in 2019 and it was their official tour. Partly also because WayV officially debuted in 2019. But NCT content was aplenty. I've also subscribed to the NCT channel at this point so my notifications were dinging all the time.
So naturally, with more exposure to NCT, comes more interest in knowing all of you.
I have never been the 'stan only one unit' type of fan. Remember, I officially got into NCT from NCT2018, when 18 of y'all are actively promoting. I am not afraid of your ‘big ass group’ concept.
So as my interest in NCT grows, I figured it was time to know every unit better then. With 127 busy with tour, they were already releasing the Hit the States series on top of their tour, and planning a comeback mid tour. I know content will be readily available. I just had to wait.
WayV was also new so LABEL V was pumping content heavily to promote them. Again, this means content is easily available.
What was missing, was Dream content. With Mark graduated, Haechan injured and then automatically roped in with 127 for their tour, where does that leave the other members?
So I got curious. I wanted to know more about Dream but there aren't current content. What do I do? Well, dig into past content.
Chewing Gum.
I have come across it before, a long time ago probably in 2016 when it first released. I dismissed it so fast, I did not watch it fully.
I think I was still fairly new to KPop and the 'cutesy' bubblegum pop concept did not sit well with me. So anything remotely adorable was dismissed.
Unfortunately, Chewing Gum was the epitome of cute. You guys were so small. So young! Your voices… 😅
However when I started getting into NCT and because I was eager to really learn about Dream, I sat through it. But barely. I kept cringing. Sorry.
After finishing it, I felt like I had done it injustice. But I still wanted to know more about you guys! So I changed tactics.
I started with We Go Up. At least I was familiar with it. And I didn't watch the videos. I just listened to the song. Slowly, I moved down to Go, We Young, My First and Last, and finally, Chewing Gum.
Honestly, it took me some time to get used to. Obviously Dream was very different from 127. So I really had to focus to listen to Dream.
I don't know what was the turning point. I don't recall what made me suddenly enjoy your content but it happened. I find myself looking forward to listening to your songs. I actually felt genuine unadulterated fun.
Chewing Gum got into my head and I kept hearing 'Ch-ch-ch-ch-chewing Gum' on replay in my head. I eventually succumbed and went to watch the M/V again. And this time, I enjoyed it! I still cringed, lol. But I was able to enjoy the song instead of let the overload of cute affect me.
I also came across the hoverboard version and BAM! I was awed.
I was very much the typical millennial that dismissed hoverboards as 'the new trend' that was too beneath my generation (*scoff* I am such an elitist).
So I knew it was trending and everywhere. But seeing these 7 teens actually performing synchronized choreography in addition to using a hoverboard without breaking a sweat, I was amazed. Omg, how? The dedication, the training, the effort!
It was then I thought that you guys weren't the usual teenagers I see on the street (whom I am so secretly terrified of btw). You guys are the dedicated hardworking types. The one I'm definitely intimidated by. Only because I never had the same drive when I was that age. (Pssst...There's jealousy in that too...)
I began thinking to myself, I've got to give them credit. I can't be an ageist. Just because I have my own issues and insecurities about being a lazy bum as a teenager, I shouldn't project it on these 7 teens who are already contracted to work and dedicate the rest of the young lives to their art.
That was how I started watching more NCT Dream content on YouTube. Your music videos, fancams, fanmade content etc.
I was slowly but surely falling for your charms.
I must also admit, at that period in time, I was fast becoming a big fan of Haechan.
Maybe due to his temporary break during his injury, I had a lot of 'missing you' content recommended to me. I clicked them all and really, I fell in love with his voice.
I had also then started following alot of NCT content on Twitter and IG. With 127 on tour and Haechan back in business with the North American tour, there were alot of celebratory tweets and IG posts about his comeback.
I knew Haechan was a vocalist but I suddenly saw an influx of his dance on my social media. It got me curious and I admit I watched quite a bit of Haechan fancam.
Then, it was announced NCT127 was coming for a concert to my country. And I went for it. My first concert in my 27 years of life. No regrets. I LOVED IT. Plus, my interest in Haechan soared too.
His dance break? In that one little segment? Was enough to sell me.
Highway to Heaven? Superhuman? YAAS.
And then mere days after the concert, We Boom happened.
And wow. We Boom era was a beautiful awakening for me.
You were all still teenagers, technically. Sure, the 00 liners we adults in Korea, but internationally, y'all haven't reached 20.
Still it didn't stop the multiple outpouring of congratulatory messages for all four of you in reaching adulthood.
So I figured if y'all see yourselves as adults, you're officially adults then.
And I think that was the mental barrier that had been putting me off. As much as I don't want to be one, I am sort of an ageist. It really took you 4 being 'official' adults plus one graduated member, for me to pass my own ageist thoughts before deciding you are more than talented.
Any who, with my increased interest in Haechan and my own moral dilemma out of the way, I started to genuinely enjoy your music.
First and foremost, I loved Haechan's look in We Boom era. Him in the suit, in the denim outfit, his hair up? Yes.
Secondly, Jeno and Jaemin. You are always together and even in your growth you are on par. I see the effort you're putting in your gym sessions…
Last but not least, Renjun. Hello, you turned fine. You had the mullet for a moment and I wasn't a huge fan but you still looked fine.
The 00 liners grew up good. I was barely into Dream but even I saw the differences. I was impressed and honestly, felt proud of you despite knowing none of you. Yet I felt affirmed that you’ve worked hard. And this was solely on your appearance alone.
We Boom was also my first journey in listening to your side tracks. And I loved every single one of them.
Again, the talk about graduation came back up. 4 members are meant to graduate by end 2019. What will become of NCT Dream?
We Boom is the first 6Dream album, will it be the last? It probably is?
We Boom had Best Friend and Dream Run. Somehow, it felt a lot like a goodbye message. A graduation gift in a sense. It made a lot of fans feel nostalgic for Mark. It made a lot of fans wonder the fate of Dream. You've worked hard, every single one of you. What's going to happen to all of that?
Soon, end of the year was approaching. However, there is still no news about Dream's fate.
BUT. SM decided to spring a Dream concert on the fans.
Some theories suggested it was to appease the fans who were getting antsy about the lack of news. Some suggested it was a ruse to give fans false hope before SM pulls the plug altogether on Dream. Some dreamt it was a sign they were continuing and not disbanding… soon there were (louder) chants for Dream to be a fixed unit.
I was never very bothered by the graduation concept as mentioned earlier. To me, even if the 00 liners had to graduate, I was fine. What I wasn't fine with: what is their next step?
The radio silence from SM was starting to err me. Fan worries online were also starting to get under my skin. Will Dream disband? As much as I love Haechan, I do admit it was unfair that only he has the clearest path. He had 127.
What about Jeno and Jaemin?
Jeno who had stepped up as the leader of the sextet. Who have so bravely led his team mates in his strong silent resilience.
Jaemin who is all smiles and love for his Czennies. Who had sat out an entire year of promotions to heal from a back injury and then dived straight back into their intense choreography and keeping up with his mates with smooth ease.
Then there were Renjun and Chenle; at least they had the possibility of WayV. And although that's a possibility that seemed so distant, at least it was possible.
Jisung was a rising dance machine. He raps well enough and has stable enough vocals that he has potential for a solo career if all goes south. Otherwise, he was still young enough to be able to sustain the Dream name, perhaps with a new set of members.
Either way, it was all the same. The future of these young teens were too uncertain.
Dream, you are seven youths with so much potential. This is solely on the pure fact that you are still so young. You've achieved so much but for your futures to be so vague felt extremely unfair.
And that's when I realise I will stand by Dream.
Sure, I used to gripe about our age differences. But then I realised it was your youth that I should be supporting. It was the idea of everlasting friendship that should be preserved here.
Dream was so very much 7 members that even with Mark graduated, in that whole year of him not promoting with Dream, it still felt like he was there because you guys are literal friends with each other. You are not just colleagues that will part at the end of the day once work is done. You're legitimate friends.
And that is what I want to protect.
Call me nostalgic or old but being in a period of time in my life where my social relationships are starting to change as my friends get married and become attached, or grow more interested in building a family rather than finding a cute boy, I must have projected my own feelings of loss onto Dream.
Aren't y'all suppose to be the embodiment of youth, hope and (pardon the pun) dreams?
The bulk of that was formed during my teenage years for me, in the bonds I've created with my own group of girlfriends. The five of us have been together since 13 years old and although we never had the same intensity of an emotional rollercoaster that comes with stardom, I understand the reluctance to let go of a friendship that has lasted so long.
When I see the Dreamies have fun, joking around and sassing around, I am reminded of my girlfriends when we laze about and sass during our staycation.
When I see the Dreamies tired and exhausted but still so present for each other during practice and rehearsals, I am reminded of my girlfriends and the days we studied together for our national exams.
When I see the Dreamies cry because of an uncertain future, I see my girlfriends worried about the next stage of our lives and the fear of being unprepared.
That homely dependence; the family reliance on one another… these are sentiments that actually my girlfriends and I may not exactly feel. For as much as we've been friends for so long, we've never really had a tumultuous lifestyle.
But the Dreamies, you did. You had to be away from family, practice from dusk till dawn, sacrificed school experiences for idolhood, lose out on a 'normal teenage life'.
Sure, you chose this life. You've made your beds and now you must lie in it. What's inspiring is: you're so willingly diligent in doing so.
That, I feel is your most praiseworthy trait.
And I understand that you were able to do this because you've had each other.
And I feel so proud of that friendship you’ve made with each other.
So Dream, congratulations on your fourth year. Congratulations on all your hard work and sacrifices.
Remember, you are still young. You do not owe the world anything but to live your young lives well.
You've made so many sacrifices and earned scars along the way. But you've become better and stronger with them.
You taught me to treasure the friendship I have made in my youth and perhaps a little lesson or two about mourning the loss of friendship.
I wish you all the best. I want to hug you so much and pat you on your heads. And yet at the same time show you off like a proud parent.
I am sure your parents are all proud of you. Every single one of you.
Keep up your good work. You are doing well.

Blame
Pt. I, Pt. II
June 2nd, 2022. 14:32 PM. Busan.
“That’s a wrap everyone, thank you!”
The booming voice of the director echoing throughout the set. Lighting rigs are taken down by the many production staff on hand. The few extras needed to walk in the shot background shuffle out of sight without speaking a word, grateful for the opportunity to be working, and not willing to do anything to risk their position here. You can see the hunger for more in all of their eyes and the envy they feel towards those with speaking roles. None of them have caused trouble, something the former male lead should learn from.
The first few weeks here had been tortuous but finally, Joy has completed the filming of her first acting job since the split of Red Velvet, without murdering the god-awful co-star initially hired which is an accomplishment. The role of a mistress seeking revenge against the man who murdered her father just seemed too good to pass up on. However, had she known it would come with dealing with by far the most pretentious man to exist, she might have thought twice.
The first few days it was plain sailing. Everyone just got on with their jobs and kept things moving along. But then, trailers needed to be made bigger and fine foods had to be stocked inside every day. The final straw being a request for an assistant solely to hold water bottles close by the actor. To say Joy was annoyed would be an understatement. So, she confronted the man for his poor behavior and put him in his place. Respect should be earned not just given, and this man had earned zero.
After being showed up in front of everyone, things spiraled quickly into ruining scenes on purpose just to make shoots run late or purposefully blocking the camera with his body during close-ups. Eventually, the director settled on replacing him with another actor, far better both in the talent and attitude department. The firing caused a setback in the schedule, but luckily everyone worked twice as hard to finish within the allotted time-frame.
To finally be rid of this experience feels like a breath of fresh air. Not that she didn’t enjoy portraying what most would deem the “bad” character for a change, it just became difficult to do so when a real-life villain was haunting the production.
“Hey, the director has arranged a wrap party, are you going?”
Eunseo, a petite woman in charge of the third camera who everyday likes to inform Joy she owns all of Red Velvet’s albums asks. Her toothy grin is remarkably unpleasant as the question escapes her mouth. However, Joy has gotten used to her overexcitement over the small pleasures in life.
“Sure, I just need to grab my things from the trailer and I’ll get my manager to drive me straight there.” A lie. A very obvious yet unnoticed lie.
“Great, I’ll see you there.” Eunseo latches her arms firmly around Joy’s neck, although, she barely reaches because of her lack of height.
Joy quickly squirms her way out of the smaller woman’s arms and gives only a smile in response before scurrying away to her trailer, not daring to allow her a second chance at grappling her neck.
Unlocking her phone as she gets closer to the spacious trailer she’s spent the last few months getting used to, a few notifications appear about her upcoming drama, which she subscribed to the alerts for. If the former male lead tries to tarnish her name despite his own actions being the issue, she wants her team to be on the case of fixing it immediately. A few missed calls from her sister and mom, likely wondering how long they need to keep babysitting Haetnim whilst she’s out of Seoul. But finally, some texts from an unknown number that she deletes without reading. If it’s anyone or anything important, they’ll contact her manager.
Getting closer to the trailer, the door appears to be slightly ajar. Joy stops in her tracks, trying to think back to whether or not she locked it before heading to the set. She’s certain she did, however, with the excitement of the final day looming over her, she thinks it’s possible this slipped her mind.
Not willing to risk a masked assailant, however, she shouts inside first to see if anyone responds.
“Hello, is anyone there?”
Silence is all that follows. Not trusting this, she asks again in a more threatening tone.
“Hello? I’m calling the police if you don’t come out!”
A small chuckle is all that can be heard, but there’s no one in sight. Fed up with the not knowing, Joy steps inside of her trailer attempting to use her phone like some kind of weapon. The last person she ever imagined being sat inside of her trailer, however, is there in all of her glory as made-up and ready for the runway as ever, despite her “normal” life now.
“Irene?” She asks, as if unsure of whether the older woman before her is real or just a figment of her imagination.
“Joohyun. It’s Joohyun now.” Adjusting her shirt as she speaks, Joy can tell that she’s nervous to be here, with her, for the first time since the day they parted as members. “Nice trailer, I can see you… decorated.”
There’s clothing thrown on the floor with little to no care, a reminder of their days in the dorm, everyone making a mess, and no one in the mood to clean up after themselves. However, if Joy had known that Joohyun was dropping by, she’d have attempted to at least make it slightly presentable. She does still mean a lot to Joy.
“Um… What are you doing here?” The bluntness to Joy’s tone being something she didn’t mean to let out, however, her voice naturally shows that she too is on edge.
The pair look at each other for a few seconds before Joohyun stands and attempts to leave. However, Joy places her arm up onto the door frame to block her path before she can whisk back out of her life as fast as she has re-entered it.
“This was a mistake, I shouldn’t have come here. I’m sorry.” Sadness drips off every word Joohyun speaks, her eyes averting to the ground.
“Come on, sit back down. I’ll make us a drink and you can tell me all about it.”
Joohyun desperately wants to escape, but Joy has always had a way of roping her into things she’s not so sure of. So she sits. They drink, something that is far too stiff for both of them to handle, however, it helps the words flow from Joohyun’s mouth and Joy’s ears do a lot more listening than they’re used to nowadays.
She tells Joy all about the offer from Dongchul and how she’s considering stepping into the acting world, about her garden that has become a haven where she can let all of her thoughts out and about how her parents’ smiles have become the thing that makes her heart feel alive now.
Joy has always found Joohyun beautiful, so has anyone lucky enough to lay their eyes on her, however, seeing her happy like this makes her feel that her own actions regarding their group splitting are justified if Joohyun is enjoying her new life this much. Joy desperately hopes to feel the same way one day about her own.
“How about you? Do you keep up with the others?” Joohyun asks and breaks Joy from her own inner monologue of life. “How are they all?”
Joy hesitates in answering Joohyun’s innocent question. She knows that her former leader is not trying to stir up any negative feelings by asking about the others, yet, sadness is all Joy can feel when she thinks about the state the group has erupted into.
“I don’t speak to Seulgi, she stopped speaking to me that day,” A frown replaces Joohyun’s smile from seconds ago at this. “Yeri and I hang out sometimes, she’s just as busy as I am. We check in with each other when we can.”
“That’s good, you two were always close. Annoying, but close.” Joohyun adds, “What about Wendy, do you see her still?”
Confusion etches across Joy’s face. Granted Joohyun is yet to reveal whether she has kept in touch with anyone, she figured that she would have at least saw the news on the internet or television.
“Well that would be difficult, given that she’s in America now, did you not know?”
Joohyun almost chokes on her drink at Joy’s words. America? Why would she move there? Why did no one tell her?
“No, when did she move?”
“She left about two months after the split.” If Joohyun thinks this is the only bombshell awaiting her about her former members, Joy has yet another shock in store for her. “So, you don’t know about the singles clash then, I guess?”
Placing her drink down onto the table, Joohyun shifts her body closer towards Joy’s, unsure of what she’s talking about.
“Singles clash? No?”
A deep sigh leaves Joy’s body. Dealing with her awful co-worker had also been made more difficult by the decisions made by two of her former members. Interviewers desperately wanting her to comment on what ended up being a situation blown out of proportion, but a stressful one to deal with. Fake smiles were plastered on and rumors of a feud swiftly denied by both her and Yeri on behalf of Seulgi and Wendy.
“Seulgi got to debut solo two months ago, SM did their first thing right in years and went all out for her, the whole works,” Joy can see Joohyun’s mental cogs shifting trying to figure out where an issue comes into play here. “But Wendy released her first solo song in the US at midnight, an hour before Seulgi’s showcase here.”
Suddenly, everything makes sense. But surely this was all coincidental? Joohyun thinks but doesn’t verbalize as Joy is in before she can.
“Wendy insists that she had no idea Seulgi’s debut was that day but, I don’t know. It turned into a messy situation and fans didn’t know which to support. Seulgi still topped the charts, but it can’t have felt good to have her thunder stolen from someone who was once her friend. She already blames us for the disbandment, this just added fuel to the fire.”
Joy’s hand’s motion between the two of them as she speaks.
“She blames me?” Joohyun asks softly.
Joy pauses and recalls that Joohyun missed the blow-up from Seulgi in the office that day having left before it happened. She decides it’s best to stick the knife all the way in and tell Joohyun everything instead of trying to spare her with a lie.
“Except for Yeri, she blames all of us.”

Below the cut are a lot of updates I wanted to combine in one post. Most of these are the results of the polls I ran the last two weeks, but there are a couple of smaller updates to things like the points shop or minor rule updates. I tried to be as concise as possible to keep the length from getting out of hand, so if there are any questions left unanswered, I will be happy to address them! I’ll try not to throw any major updates at everyone for a while unless I absolutely have to!
This has been a lot to change, so it’s possible I may have missed a thing or two on certain pages, so if you notice anything I overlooked, please message me and I’ll fix it!
AOA has been removed from Lipstick’s past discography
There are no longer any AOA songs in Lipstick’s past discography. These have been replaced mostly with older Girl’s Generation and After School songs, including “Genie”, which has now been specifically stated as their breakout hit. Two non-AOA songs were removed, but they’ll likely be released in the future, and “Catch Me If You Can” has been moved later to be their first release after their former main vocal’s depature. A vocal position was added to the main rapper and a sub vocal position was added to the maknae. You can find Lipstick’s new discography here and their old discography here in case you want to compare the changes.
Park Duri and Zhao Tian both had MV role past claims in AOA songs that are no longer possible, so if the muns of these muses would like to change to a different MV claim, please message me!
Lip Gloss has been updated and their past discography now consists only of Orange Caramel songs. Instead of receiving backlash at the end of 2017 for releasing a song meant for Lipstick following Goeun’s departure from the group, they received backlash for releasing “Lipstick”, amid fears of the name suggesting the sub-unit would be replacing the full group as fans were unsure of Lipstick’s future as a full group at the time. You can find Lipstick’s new discography here and their old discography here in case you want to compare the changes.
Queendom will be staying with Lipstick using Nine Muses/After School/SNSD-inspired stages, based on votes, and information about Queendom has been updated on Lipstick’s, 7ROPHY’s, and Aria’s monthly schedules.
IZ*ONE has been added to WISH’s future discography
This does not affect anything in the past or present, but WISH are planned to release their first IZ*ONE release next summer. The line distribution has been updated on WISH’s page.
Gugudan and Laboum have been added to Aria’s future discography
Again, this does not affect anything in the past or present. Aria are planned to release their first Laboum release next summer. The line distribution has been updated on Aria’s page.
iKon has added to Alien’s past and future discography, B.A.P has been removed
iKon songs have replaced the B.A.P songs previously in Alien’s discography, and Alien are planned to release their first future iKon release next summer. Alien still debuted with the concept of aliens from different planets coming together, but it’s mentioned that the concept wasn’t a big part of their group concept after they debuted. Alien’s success at debut was higher than previously described, with them being widely anticipated to become a top boy group until their lawsuit, at which point their domestic success greatly suffered and they’ve been working to recover since. A sub vocal position has been added to the maknae. You can find Alien’s new discography here and their old discography here in case you want to compare the changes.
Mamamoo has been added to Silhouette’s past and future discography, Fiestar has been removed
Mamamoo songs have replaced three of the four Fiestar songs previously in Silhouette’s discography. The other one has been removed without being replaced. Silhouette are planned to release their first future Mamamoo release near the beginning of 2021. A vocal position has been added to the main rapper position. You can find Silhouette’s new discography here and their old discography here in case you want to compare the changes.
Astro and VICTON have been added to Impulse
Astro and VICTON songs will now be released by Impulse in addition to GOT7 songs in the future. This does not affect their past discography, but positions have been updated to more accurately align with all groups and line distributions have been updated. No taken positions have had their assigned positions changed. Impulse will begin to be affected by Astro and VICTON schedules next year and they are planned to release their first future Astro release near the beginning of 2021.
Two Knight positions have been updated
Knight’s main dancer/vocal position has been partially merged with the former maknae/lead dancer/rapper position. This makes the latter position now maknae/main dancer/rapper/vocal. This has been discussed with the mun of the muse currently taking that position. The former main dancer/vocal position is now a vocal position. This is to more accurately reflect the fact that, with Lay’s absence from recent EXO release, that former position wasn’t getting highlighted as a dancer in the group with any of Knight’s three model discographies anymore. I did consider bringing Knight down to eight members, but having over a fourth of the group on permanent hiatus then felt like a little too much.
Photo shoot claims are no longer limited by face claim
Muses may now claim magazine shoot references outside of their face claim. These photo shoots must still be idol-appropriate. The claims rules regarding them have been updated, so those should be read before sending in a magazine claim, please!
Foreign acting claims have been added to the points shop
Foreign acting claims have been added to the points shop due to demand. This claim is available for acting in China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, or the Philippines in roles played by current or former K-pop idols in real life. Again, there are very specific rules for these, so the new foreign acting claims rules page should be read by anyone interested in making this claim. Prices and waiting period are higher than domestic acting claims due to being cast in foreign dramas and movies being rarer and solo overseas activities like that being more of a conflict with group schedules.
The nation’s title claim is once again available with a checklist and a list of claimable titles
The claim has been reinstated with the checklist I’ve already shown to anyone who asked, with only the addition of a required solo magazine cover and a bullet point about scandals being kept to a minimum or the requirement of significant additional image-shaping through claims being needed. There is now a definite list of available titles to keep titles realistic and limit the overall number of nation’s titles possible.
As mentioned to those I’ve already spoken to about the claim, the checklist is to ensure several factors including, but not limited to: significant development into individual fame for a muse, mun dedication and development of a muse (to prevent frequent claiming of and then dropping of titles), and title’s importance to character development.
Muns are still required to discuss their muse’s path with the main before trying to claim a nation’s title.
There are specific age, gender presentation, and career limits for some. Available titles may be added as seen fit. There is also now a set rule limiting the number of potential nation’s titles per group instead of a vague general guideline.
EDIT: There are tentatively three spots for “original” titles that haven’t been given to anyone in real life or are not listed as pre-set tiles, but these will be selective and must receive admin approval. They should be comparable to existing titles without directly overlapping with any. If it’s hard to find original titles that can be approved, this option may be removed.
Muses may now only claim an MC special stage the first time they MC a show
Since the special stages are meant to introduce MCs, they may now only be claimed the first time a muse MCs for that specific music show.
Conflicting information on points blog regarding creative claims on canon features has been fixed
I noticed there was conflicting information on the points blog regarding whether creative claims were available on canon features and have hopefully removed all conflicting information. Creative claims now can’t be claimed on canon song features, but any previous claims of this nature will not be affected if I had allowed it.
Points-claimed OSTs must now be claimed before a drama begins airing
A drama will now close off to OST claims once it begins airing like it closes off to acting claims.
A Youtube song promotion claim has been added
These types of videos were previously unclaimable and considered nebulously headcanonable but not able to be made explicitly canon or claimed as viral moments. Since some interest has been shown in being able to claim them so they can be further claimed as viral moments, I’ve added the ability to canonically claim a Youtube song promotion bundle of up to four videos. Please make sure to read the rules regarding this if you plan to make a claim for this!
Only one muse per mun may now have past acting claims
This does not affect muns who already have multiple muses with past acting claims, but from now on, only one muse per mun may take up a past claims acting spot, even if they have multiple soloist muses. This is to allow more muns to possibly include that as character backstory for a muse.
Two-point playlist requirements have been updated
The requirements to collect two points for a playlist have been updated to more accurately reflect what I’m looking for. The playlist can include either a 100+ word explanation or, only if the lyrics are directly applicable to the playlist, such as if you make a playlist of songs that lyrically describe your muse’s personality or lyrically describe their relationship with another much, highlighted lyrics may be used.
Songs should also not be repeatedly used over multiple playlists so that muns aren’t making very similar playlists in theme and/or content to stock up on points. There is some margin for error here as not everyone is expected to keep up with every song they’ve already used in a playlist, but please do your best to avoid this.
The weekly chart explanation on the Exclusive blog has been updated
Nothing has actually changed about how charting is calculated, but I attempted to remove information that wasn’t really helpful and overall better explain the factors that come into play.

Secret Siblings AU
The first time fans and other idols alike witness Taemin actually being his usual snappy self towards Jinki, Kibum, and Minho, it’s at one of the year end celebrations just a few months after Taemin’s group debuted. It wasn’t an award show, but idols were performing and mingling and just having a good time with fans to celebrate the new year.
Taemin was fifteen and tired. It had been months and months of constant promotions, concerts, repackages, variety shows, interviews - all on top of school. He may have bitten off a little more than he could chew. He and Kai both were exhausted, but they kept smiles on their faces and tried to enjoy it. Plus, it helped that their older members (especially Suho) did their best to help them out with everything.
“I’m not a gremlin!” Taemin whines, and he swats at Jinki’s hand and shoves him away.
Jinki, meanwhile, is having a blast. Pissing Taemin off is always so fun. Kibum and Minho are joining in as well. Jinki just keeps pestering him: poking at him, pushing his hat over his eyes, and generally teasing him.
“Better eat while you can,” Kibum says, passing Taemin a tray of little finger foods that don’t even look good. Then he turns towards Minho, “We can’t feed that thing after midnight.”
“I’m not a thing!” Taemin snaps. “Shut up!”
“Oh, Mr. Grumpypants,” Minho teases, going to pinch Taemin’s cheeks. Taemin gets his face away and chomps his teeth very violently in Minho’s general direction.
“I don’t wanna sit here anymore,” Taemin whines, suddenly looking very upset. Jinki had dragged him away from his table with his members to sit with them instead, and he didn’t like being the butt of every joke.
Fans can’t hear what’s being said, but they can see Taemin snap at them, hit them back, and make faces. It gets a lot of attention online very quickly.
Suho had seen it on Twitter from where he was sitting with the other three members, and he was quick to navigate through the tables to go find his youngest member.
“Taemin!” Suho calls, crouching next to his seat and holding onto his shoulder. “I need you to come back, Kai misses you.”
Taemin is quick to latch onto Suho and stumble after him. But he doesn’t miss the opportunity to stick his tongue out at Jinki, who only sticks his tongue out right back. But Suho shakes him a bit and hisses for him to stop as he drags him back to their table.
“They were being mean to me,” Taemin whines quietly, his hands gripping Suho’s jacket. “And I couldn’t remember where we were sitting.”
“It’s okay,” Suho says softly, squeezing Taemin’s shoulder. “That’s why I came and got you.”
Fans also notice how Taemin becomes very clingy with Suho the rest of the night. It isn’t actually New Year’s Eve yet, the event won’t last past 10pm, but Taemin is still tired and rubbing at his eyes. They had already performed for the night, and it had exhausted him. He not so subtly leans against Suho’s side the rest of the night, his head tucked into the crook of his neck.
“Hey,” Jinki says softly a little while later. “Are you tired?”
“Yes,” Taemin whines, pressing himself closer to Suho. “Leave me alone!”
“I’m sorry,” Jinki coos, sitting down next to him and pushing a hand through Taemin’s hair. “We didn’t realize you were so tired. We won’t bug you anymore tonight, okay?”
“Kay.”
“Be nice to your members.”
“I’m always nice.”
Jinki snorts, along with Chanyeol and Baekhyun. Jinki just pats Taemin’s head and goes back to his own table. It’s quite an interesting night.
