Hello, my love bugs!

I'm finally dropping in to spread some holiday cheer! Not only have I come to tell my lovelies Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays, but I also come bearing gifts, my babies! 🎁

As you all know, I love some Rio and Angel Reyes down—amongst many others. Choosing one of these lovely men to bring holiday magic to life was too hard. So, instead of picking one, I embraced a common holiday theme and created something festive for each character/actor, adding a unique flair and twist.

Though these stories are short and sweet, I truly hope you enjoy them. It’s been a good little minute since I’ve written for these babies, so hopefully, I’m not too rusty! Also, sorry if anything feels a tad bit repetitive. Many couples participate in the same types of activities during the holidays, and I wanted to keep the vibes cozy and real.

Oxventure Presents: Blades in the Dark - A CRIMSNIGHT CAROL ⚔️🎄👻 by Outside Xtra

Hey, remember how yesterday I wrote up a big long post about my Valicer In The Dark Christmas Carol parody? Well, today, I present to you the Oxventure Presents: Blades In The Dark Christmas Carol parody! XD I believe I've mentioned before that Oxventure Presents: Blades In The Dark was one of the things that got me into the RPG in the first place and led to the creation of the Valicer In The Dark universe, so it feels only appropriate to feature one of the episodes over here -- and since it's nearly Christmas, it might as well be the Christmas special! Better than listening to yet more Christmas music, right?

Now, a quick note -- this episode is set in between Seasons One and Two of the OP:BITD series, and thus has a couple of spoilers for Season One in it (namely there's mention of an NPC who only appears at the end of Season One, and Lilith's, uh, unusual hairstyle is talked about freely, since it was already revealed in an earlier episode). The whole thing will also make at least a little more sense if you're at least vaguely familiar with the original Oxventure campaign and the old Crim's Night episode from same. But I feel this can be watched as a stand-alone if you are so inclined -- and it is very, very funny, so I very much recommend giving it a shot. :D

Beneath the Fairy Lights🎄♥️

"A Season of Love Christmas Series 🎄♥️"

It was still dark when you felt the warmth of Rio’s hand gently trailing up your arm, his touch soft and deliberate, pulling you from the depths of sleep.

“C’mon, mama,” his low, velvet voice whispered against your ear. “Time to get up.”

Your groggy protest came out as little more than a grumble, but Rio wasn’t deterred. Your husband laid a kiss upon your temple, his lips lingering. Rio’s scent was a mix of cologne paired with woodsiness and spice—filling your senses.

“It’s Christmas, darlin’,” he murmured. “And I got somethin’ for you.”

That aroused your interest. You cracked one eye open, meeting his soft brown gaze, full of mischief and something else you couldn’t quite place.

“Can’t it wait ‘til sunrise?” you teased, voice still husky from sleep.

Rio chuckled, the sound low and intimate. “Nah. This can’t wait.”

He offered his hand, and you let him pull you out of bed. His warmth instantly enveloped you as he grabbed a nearby blanket to drape around your shoulders. His fingers laced with yours as he led you down the hallway. His pace was deliberate, his steps careful not to wake the kids who were still fast asleep in their rooms.

When you reached the living room, you gasped. The soft glow of fairy lights wrapped around the tree illuminated the space. Yet it was Rio's transformation that stole your breath.

A trail of rose petals started at the doorway, winding toward the couch, which was now covered in a plush throw and pillows. A table sat beside it, adorned with a spread of your favorite breakfast foods—croissants, fresh fruit, and even the special coffee blend you loved.

“Rio…” You turned to him, eyes wide, your voice barely above a whisper.

But he wasn’t done yet. He pulled out a small box from his pocket, his thumb brushing over the lid before handing it to you.

“Merry Christmas, mama,” he said, his voice softer now, more serious.

You opened the box to find a delicate gold bracelet, tiny charms dangling from it—each a meaningful symbol of your life together. A small house for the home you’d built, a baby carriage for your kids, a heart with your initials entwined.

Your breath hitched, and when you looked up at him, he was already watching you, his expression unguarded.

“I know I don’t always say it the way you deserve to hear it,” he started, his voice steady but thick with emotion. “But you’re everything, yeah? My partner, my peace, my wifey, my reason. I wanted you to wake up today and feel all that. Feel how much you mean to me.”

Tears welled in your eyes as you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him close. He held you tightly, his hands, splayed against your back, grounding you in the moment.

“You don’t have to say it, Rio,” you whispered against his chest. “I feel it. Every day.”

He pulled back just enough to meet your gaze, his thumb brushing a tear from your cheek. “Good. But I’m still gonna say it.”

And he did, over and over again, as you both sank onto the couch, wrapped in the quiet magic of Christmas morning, the world outside forgotten in the warmth of each other’s embrace.

okay writing all that maybe you can expect me to be satisfied that's kinda a lot but would it me too much to ask for them to talk about their feelings? would it be too much to show them holding hands a little, or see shawn claim more things were built by wild animals to impress her, or watch them suggestively walk into a room together and close the door while the camera holds on the door until fading out and coming back in with jules grinning and shawn adjusting his collar?

1# The Plight Before Christmas

This is not a surprise, I literally made a post back then in September-October when I first saw this episode. So I'm not going to elaborate as much as with others, also the thing that make this episode so special not something that I myself fully get, words elude me with this one. So let’s say I love it just because.

I think whe all know and love this scene, this moment when Tina reach to Louise when no one else could cause this is their big sister, and many can say that she don’t get most things but she get her siblings and she’s gonna be with them even if Louise said is not necessary even if they don't mention it, cause she wants to be there with them cause is important. All this while the most beautiful song interpreted by Genie Beanie plays in the back, wrapping everything together, cause yeah even if is mostly Tina and Louise, Gene is there, always there. They are the Belcher kids, the best siblings in the world.

And by the way I want a standing ovation for mah baby bean, cause they save that night for everyone in that auditorium. He is a real musical genius, he can think outside the box and find solutions and his heart is full of music, music that they know and understand despite what everyone says. when Bob look at Gene while they play, like he’s the most amazing person he has ever seen, is cause he is.

This episode is full of quite moments, silent and intimate moments that convey such strong warming and familiar emotions. Is a hug for the heart, like the serie itself.

And I don't want to forget Bob and Linda, they're just the greatest parents in the world, no one is doing it like them.

I truly love this episode deeply. This is the one that got me crying every time.

OH right before i go to bed i feel like the people should know i showed the first season of all creatures great and small 2020 to my parents this past week or so (mostly my mom but then my dad got sucked in too) and they Liked it and my mom got upset at hugh (as she should) and was rooting very strongly for helen to dump him (as she should) so i am pleased
