Review:

Two rival authors, one prestigious publishing contract, and a bet to see who can seduce more people... yet the only ones being seduced are each other. Edwina Danforth is a romance author, she loves writing smutty romance novels and finds joy in them but she has yet to actually make a penny despite writing over 17 books. When she is late for her latest tour stop she arrives only to discover that they've also brought in another author... who is now also going on tour with her, the handsome William Haywood. The moment Will and Edwina meet is not great to say the least, with him calling her work "romantic drivel." Will and Edwina do not get along, and when they both find out that the person who sells the most books on the tour will be offered the new publishing contract, tensions only rise. One night out at the bar they come up with a bet: whoever can seduce the most people wins... and a deal with the fae is binding. Edwina, despite writing smut and romance, has actually had very little experience but her pride won't let her stop the agreement. Meanwhile, Will's attempt to tease and actually flirt with Edwina ends up with her misunderstanding and proposing the bet... and now they both are competing...yet the only people they seem to be seducing and wanting to go to bed with is each other. But if they admit to their feelings so much is at stake and their game could end up with one of them losing everything, with both of them having their own desperate reasons for winning and dealing with the feelings they are both trying to fight, can this book tour be a success and can they actually make a romance happen or was it doomed from the start? This was a really fun read and I liked the competitive game between the two. The rivalry was cute and honestly, Will was such a sweetheart. He was constantly looking after Edwina and trying to show her how much he adores her, Edwina was so stubbornly prideful and set in her judgements it made me want to shake her at times. It's a really fun read and I had a blast reading it and can't wait to see where the second book with the second couple goes!!! If you like fae realms, romance, and fun characters I would absolutely recommend this!

Amphibia is proof that the best character writing tip is to make everyone at least a little bit problematic

#this is why all of my OCs are horrible people in one way or another #this goes for relationships too #lum1ty is cute and all but nothing about it ever destroyed me nearly as much as even the most tame scene between any members of #the calamity trio. and ik it's because the relationship between those 3 is what drives the story while lum1ty is a romantic subplot and all #but my objection is: that's precisely the problem #it's supposedly meant to be the fluff amongst the angst. a refuge from everything else that happens in the show #plus it's not the MAIN main relationship of the show - the main relationship is between Eda Luz and King #but... i genuinely believe divorcing lum1ty from the rest of the story does them a disservice. imagine how could it would have been if #they let amity be a little bit worse. deeper into the emperor's coven or something. with a more intense rivalry w luz #characters in toh just need more Drama imo especially luz's friends #hunter is great *because* he's Dramatic #this isn't toh bashing. i love toh. i just can't help but feel it's an example of characters being too... *nice*#cant remember who said that the only thing worth writing about was the human heart in conflict with itself and #im sorry but you can't convince me a character like gus or willow is just as much in conflict with themselves as like. idk. hop pop.

it's been 12 hours and i'm still thinking about how kai, kuroo and yaku, when getting off the court, wordlessly fell into this formation where kuroo and kai flanked yaku, who put his arms around both of their necks, and then they walked off like that with yaku barely touching the ground. it's so cute. they're so friends!!!

see if we are talking in like an individual way as a gem and pearl watcher i'm really happy from what i've seen of this session because i got big mounders crumbs, pearl lying to scott (YIPPEE) and gem had a joyful time despite the couple failed attempts on her life

as a shiny duo enjoyer who is tuned into their characters' drama this season i, however, want to put them (c!gem and c!pearl) both in a pit and leave them there to starve.
