those are just some parts that i specially can't help but imagine with both gem and pearl pov, but honestly you could take the complete lyrics and relate them to different parts of secret life and wild life. i need to explode gempearl with my mind the divorce is driving me nuts

yk i was a bit doubtful during the first two sessions but now wl!gem really gives off vibes of "my overconfidence may kill me but at least i'm hot" which i support. gotta love when a character's downfall is their own being. i trust gem to do it in a way it will leave in shambles by the end

having a difficult time as a gempearl enjoyer and an arcane watcher. i can already picture the next two weeks being a pain

see if we are talking in like an individual way as a gem and pearl watcher i'm really happy from what i've seen of this session because i got big mounders crumbs, pearl lying to scott (YIPPEE) and gem had a joyful time despite the couple failed attempts on her life

as a shiny duo enjoyer who is tuned into their characters' drama this season i, however, want to put them (c!gem and c!pearl) both in a pit and leave them there to starve.

Toby Fox has CONFIRMED Chapter 3&4 is coming out next year!!

(On another note, I am aware there's been a lot of Toby Fox posting lately that I haven't covered! Transparently, it's been a difficult month mental health wise and I haven't been very focused on the blog. I apologize. I hope I can get back to posting soon!)

Gem being kinder to the snail then she is to Pearl is wow

gem's ability to not only adapt to the wild card with seemingless ease but also to treat her snail as if it's just a little friend who just happened to be on the wrong side of things is actually kinda amazing. go girl don't let the death games steal your whimsical self and continue dancing around the field that can't control you

somebody hold me tight my gempearl people we are in the trenches i dont know what's worse the fact that pearl thought that gem and her stil had an unspoken alliance for wild life because they did it for secret life and that’s their thing (they trust each other until the end) but they DON’T or the fact that sl!gem genuinely loved pearl so much that what happened in the finale was a big betrayal for her and it hurt her so much that she feels like she can’t trust pearl now in wild life (and also how she is so bent on making friends and being on the good side of most because, well, she's been betrayed before right?)

gem is already on edge and will lash out at anyone that even tries to take, approach weirdly or do anything to her or joel but pearl doesn’t understand the importance of what they had in secret life held for gem. for gem the bridge of what they had was burnt alongside the sunflower field and it was burnt by pearl. for pearl the bridge was never burnt, it only carries the ashes of the field.

it’s the fact that despite all the bitterness and rage and anger brewing inside her, gem can't help but show a bit of concern when pearl tells her that she's had a rough day.

the layers of miscommunication between them are so many i need them to TALK and FIX this before something else happens.

does NOT help that Pearl’s minor slip up at the end of the cobblestone wall interaction indirectly fuelled more of Gem’s paranoia/scepticism for Impulse + Pearl, because her “well now I don’t know who to try this on, everyone else are allies” meant that she ONLY viewed Gem and Joel as enemies. which. isn’t the case. she just meant people who are neutral to her. because Pearl where did you get allies from you’ve been dying down in the mines and eating your own sword (/lh). but OF COURSE Gem would view that as them being enemies now. hey. you know what this miscommunication reminds me of. this lil minecraft series on youtube called Double-

narratively this is so. this is awesome man. i want to see how this resolves so bad.

sooooo saying that gem is still stuck in the murder camel is tecnically canon right because wl!gem is VERY clearly not over anything that happened in the secret life finale

it's also worth mentioning that despite the clear bitterness running through her veins, gem still apologizes when pearl says that she's had a rough day (related to her dying), and also how both times pearl's died she's shown a bit of concern.

she doesn't want to care but she still does. oh i need to be held down

watching the gem and pearl moments of this session made me feel like i was watching one person putting down the divorce papers while the other obliviously thinks the papers are taxes instead of divorce papers oh dear
