Canon Leo meeting himself in different universes:
Canon: ... You did what?
OS: Yeah I stabbed Percy the first time I met him.
Hospitality (by @moa-broke-me): WHAT THE FUCK??? WHY????
OS: Cause all Nico told me about him was bad stuff so I didn't know he was actually a good person.
Canon: Nico?? What does Nico have to do with it???
OS: You guys aren't best friends in your universe?
Canon: Noooo???? My best friends... dead. Actually. And I... can't... see my other one.
Hospitality: Why are your lives so depressing?
--------
OS: Wait, your moms still alive????
Hospitality: Yeah... we're not demigods in my universe.
Canon: And she's married... to Percy's mom?
Hospitality: Yup!
One In The Corner (OITC): *having flashbacks*
---------
A Lifetime From The Hunt (by @thatonefandomjumper): *explaining what happened after he died and came back*
The rest: *in utter horror*
---------
OS: Is this one a... ghost?
Hospitality: He's a kid though.
Still Eight: I need to get home.
Canon: We're trying bud.
Still Eight: I need to get home, I need to get home, I need to get home.
----------
Guys some of these are ones I made up.
OITC is a really really fucked up AU I had where Leos mom was alive but Gaea kidnapped her when everyone thought she died and forced her to work for her and Leo finds out and is basically just a huge fucking mess. Some middle shit happens and she goes with the Seven and Gaea fucks with them and Leo like "kills" his mom on accident because he thought she was Gaea.
Still Eight is one I made with a friend on discord where instead of Esperanza dying, Leo dies but his ghost/concious gets sent to Tartarus while his body goes missing and stays there until Percy and Annabeth get there and bring him back where he's fully alive and with his mom. (Fuck the rest of the quest byw cause we didn't focus on that lhfoydur.)
Y'all know OS already.

If you ever wondered what the best living vertebrate is, it’s the alligator gar in my totally not biased 100% scientifically backed opinion. They are just a flawless creature. Nothing wrong with them. Good tooth to snoot ratio, they have a winning smile.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They and other monster fish absolutely should NOT be in the hands of most private keepers at all and I do NOT support morph breeding of them because of that, but pretty fishy cute :c

Jason was supposed to die, as far as Hera had been concerned. Storm or Fire, except Hera had already decided which the world would fall to.
Leo, her Lion, her hero, who always strayed from the path to create another. Her Contrarian. Her fighter. Leo, whose life she intervened in relentlessly, Leo who suffered in particular and cruel, but most importantly, mortal ways. It made him real.
And Jason, an afterthought to save her Lion. The Lamb, who she’d lead to the slaughter. Jason, a follower, who’d always walk the path presented to him. Jason who lived an always mythical life, Jason who believed in duty and fate and challenged neither. He was manufactured and crafted. Not to live, not like Leo, but to die.
And the, for the last time, Leo rejects the path in front of him, making his own, overwhelming Jason’s ability to follow the path he’s been given.
(this is based off a fic i read, where jason was the one who was supposed to live and leo was meant to die. thought it’d be cool to see it the other way) (go read a lifetime from the hunt on ao3)(it kinda makes more sense the otherway but i thought this would be fun to see)

It's missing Bag a Legend hours
#fallen london#apparently some parts of it don't make sense with greater lore or something idk but consider: i don't know the lore#all i know is it gave me Some Type Of Feeling when my character tried to hunt a monster based on curiosity alone#and found themself the only person who could even have a bare chance of undoing this...monster yes but also political figure#nightmare. near-god#a once in a thousand year chance and the way the writing gives you the full knowledge that you did not get there by skill#the nuns were training for much longer. april probably could have made the bomb herself#in fact it almost feels like the player's position in bag a legend relies on them NOT having the skill#less skill and knowledge than willingness. simultaneously disposable and essential#and for Hallowrove it was still a story about wanting to know#but it became more than just curiosity about a monster few had seen and instead shifted to#wanting to know whether this could be done. whether /they/ could do it. test the kind of power they'd been subject to#in one form or another for a lifetime#and see if it would actually give way. and if that giving way would actually turn out to MEAN something#and it did. the rulers are killable. the chain can be broken#and it didn't. the Bazaar still holds power. if anything more comfortably without their murderous colleague#but it made them uneasy. uneasy in the same way every person of London is every day#knowing that they're in the power of something so far above them in strength and so far from human as to see them as collectables#and for the player personally just. the sheer amount of time and effort you have to put into making that little tilt#the held breath feeling that this is a two sided hunt and you could die at any moment#the way it's such an ever present element all through the story that you are so far from the only or first person to try this#idk it just#aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa#bag a legend does things to me. i could write an essay#multiple probably#however i won't. because i don't know the Lore and people would so get on my ass for it jdhfjfjs#bag a legend spoilers#voidrambles

Could we get a continuation of a cluster of cores? Teen parent Danny is gonna be run ragged with so many little ones and it will only be a matter of time before Dani and Lian shows them the Puppy Eyes, good thing there gonna have plenty of aunts and uncles to also bully.
Roy's newfound hero is still locked in a coma. It's been nearly three months now, and they had managed to keep him alive with tubes feeding him food and water, but it worried everyone they could not figure out the reason for his slumber.
Dani, the young alien girl, assured everyone it was fine, as she could naturally sense her father's core healing. Despite their humanoid appearance, a quick scan showed that the Fentons (as Dani had identified them) were indeed aliens.
Then there were their documents. They were all legal... in Daxam, where these travelers were from. He had contacted the Justice League, and the Green Lanterns had easily authenticated their identities.
Daxam was a plant with a red sun, one that had life forms similar to those of Kryptonians. However, the natives of the plant, before Krypton colonized it, were different in how their young were born and the origin of their powers.
Roy has learned through the Oa headquarters records that Indigenous Daxamites were formed within cores. These egg-like parts held the entity of their souls but at too different times to fully hatch, so a sibling of a cluster could hatch five years before the rest. When they formed, their powers came from an "Obsession" or a part of their environment instead of just the sun.
Their culture and species revolved heavily around the child clusters, as Indigenous Daxamite could only lay them once in their lifetime. This was disastrous when their kind was slowly hunted into extinction, as Daxam was conquered nearly a hundred thousand years ago and became a colony by Krypton.
The Kryptonians had always targeted the clusters before they could hatch, drastically declining the numbers of Daxamites.
The Indigenous Daxamites had nearly been wiped out in a horrific genocide during the colonization days, and the remaining ones had been mixed with Kryptonians to the point their species had evolved.
The cluster of core births was nothing more than history to the planet, even when outliving Krypton. That did not mean that the generational racism died with the Kryptonians.
Daxamites had become hostile to the original Daxam dwellers (Roy found records of Kryptonians demonizing the species, often referring to their god Rao commanding them to cleanse the planet for daring to gain power from pagan gods. He is pretty sure that was just an excuse for the holy war, as Clark had never mentioned anything in.), and a sort of witch hunt for any pure Indigenous Daxamite sprung to life a thousand years ago.
The Green Lanterns corps had to step in when word reached them, but by that point, many innocent Daxamites had been executed on accusations alone of being Indigenous Daxamites. To the heavy heart of the reporting Green Lantersn, the Indigenous Daxamites have been wiped from existence because of the witch trials a good nine hundred years ago.
Oh, so they thought.
Danny Fenton and his children may as well be the very last of their kind. Roy figured that Danny and his people had hidden themselves from their government.
He likely had spent his life attempting to keep his kind a secret, as his planet had been under the thumb of an oppressive dictatorship since Krypton had perished. Daxam was notorious for its complicated border control, which made leaving the planet near impossible.
He is still determining what led to Danny's discovery, but based on what they managed to salvage from the bomb site of his once house, Danny fled his planet after his secret was outed.
There was an active warrant for his capture on Daxam and an open order to neutralize his "demonic unholy offspring." Roy felt sick when he heard from a grim-faced John Stewart, the Green Lanter working as their intermediary between the two planets, that the populace on Daxam had been campaigning for Danny's death to be slow and public, as the hatred for his kind was that deep.
Dani refused to explain how her father smuggled them all out. She mentioned a few times that they had help from a mysterious "Clockwork" but had to keep a tight lid on anything else.
All they knew for sure was that Danny was severely damaged from the escape, and his constant feedings to his young (even in his sleep, his body naturally sent over ectoplasm to the cluster that never left this side) had put him in grave danger when he saved Lian. Roy still held his daughter only because this man risked everything for a child of a planet he had no ties to.
He was willing to take on all Daxam if they dared to come for Danny for that alone.
Thankfully, Justice Leauge felt the same way, and with the support of the Green Lanterns Corp, they were debating with the galactic high court to make Danny a citizen of Earth using asylum. Things were looking good for their cause, given that Danny was with a child (children??) and that his small family was an endangered species.
The Justice League was also a recognized police force by the galactic association, no matter how new, so their word carried a lot in the court.
Roy was letting the big names handle everything political. Bruce, especially, was working overtime since the big bad bat had a giant soft spot for children. He focused more on his living situation and Danny himself.
Not only because they were best friends but because Gotham seemed to be one of the only cities with "ectoplasm" (High-density levels of death?? It was naturally, according to Daxam) that the Fentons needed. Danny was resting in the Drake Hospital of Gotham, while Dani had been housed with Jason.
Jason had been more than willing to open his home to Roy and Lian until they could return to their city. They were among the many houses destroyed, so it would be a while before their home was fixed. Oliver extended the same offer, wanting his son and granddaughter back home with him.
He would have taken Oliver's offer had Jason not asked first. Things were better between the arrows now that Roy had cleaned his addiction, but he felt more at ease with Jason.
She was still young enough to need slight feedings from her father but was also able to process food from the environment. Roy tried his best to make Dani feel at home, but he could tell by her somber eyes and weak smile that she was struggling with her displacement.
Jason was better at helping her. He made time to read her a bedtime story, have her help cook, and even take her on rides around Gotham on his bike, but somehow, he did it in a way that she didn't have to speak.
Dani seemed relaxed with him.
Roy has always known Jason was better with kids, but seeing it in person makes his heart melt.
"Is my dad awake yet?" Dani asks Lian one morning. The two girls were playing with dolls, though Dani seemed confused by them the first time. She apparently never had a doll before, and Roy is curious if it was due to her being on the constant run or if dolls were not toys on her home planet.
"I don't think so. But don't worry, my Daddy is a hero. He'll save him!"
Roy's heart leaps in joy at her words, but it breaks only half a second when Dani replies in a small voice. "My Dad is a hero too. But he can still die."
Gosh, is that something a child should say?
Roy puts down the pan he used to make pancakes, wiping his hands on his apron to tell the girls breakfast is ready when Jason comes stumbling out of his room. He had a late night as Red Hood, having taken out an uprising in one of his territories.
Usually, this means Jason sleeps until two or three in the afternoon so to see him up and about at nine was a shock. He has his phone pressed to his ear, with a frantic look in his eye causing Roy to tense.
"Thanks, Tim. I'll get Roy and the girls ready. We'll be there as soon as I can," Jason said, twisting to grab hold of Roy's shoulder. We need to get to Drake Hospital."
Hope rose in his chest as Roy pressed a hand over Jason's "Is he awake?"
Jason's mouth tightens. "No. One of the cores hatched."
Oh no.

"Irish conservationists report that the magnificent osprey has successfully bred in the wilds of the Emerald Isle for the first time in almost 250 years.
Worldwide, ospreys are doing great—listed as “Least Concern” by the IUCN who add they are increasing in population. However their massive brown and white wings have been absent from Irish skies for two centuries after being hunted to extinction.
The last recorded osprey to nest in Ireland was found in 1779, writes the Ireland-based conservation group Golden Eagle Trust on Facebook.
Visiting ospreys sometimes stop on the island to rest, but almost since the signing of the US Declaration of Independence, no pair has ever deemed it a safe environment to raise young.
A nesting pair (ospreys mate for life) was discovered by experienced birdwatcher Giles Knight, the Environmental Farming Scheme Advisor with Ulster Wildlife, a conservation non-profit.
“Along with my son Eoin, I have watched the adults return to the same site since 2021, so you can imagine my excitement the moment that I saw three chicks and two adults this year,” said Knight in a statement. “It was a rub-your-eyes, once-in-a-lifetime moment; an absolute highlight of my 30-year wildlife career—like finding long-lost treasure.”
“With at least two of the chicks fledging this season, this is a huge conservation success story and indicates a healthy wetland ecosystem with plenty of suitable habitat and fish to bring this apex predator back to our skies and plunging into the Fermanagh Lakelands. Truly the return of a living countryside!” ...
The old Gaelic name for osprey was “Iascaire Coirneach”, meaning “Tonsured Fisherman”, possibly related to how its black eye band and white crown give it the appearance of the semi-bald tonsure typical of medieval Christian monks, the Golden Eagle Trust wrote on Facebook in a celebratory post.
“Now these birds are back in Ireland and breeding successfully, it is critical that they are left in peace so their numbers can continue to grow by returning year on year to breed,” Knight added in the statement. “We believe and hope that this could be the start of a raptor dynasty.”"

Just wanted to pitch my two cents in response to the previous anon! Hi friend, I know for a lot of us who get our food shrink wrapped and packaged at the grocery store it’s mind boggling to even imagine there’s a healthy way of animal husbandry.
I grew up in The Big City™️ but was raised by my grandparents. They grew up farming (just crops, their families were too poor to own livestock or purchase meat/milk/eggs) and taught me to have an incredible respect for where food comes from. We grew our own crops in the tiny backyard, composted, and did aquaculture even before I knew what it was. We bought our smaller meat from the local butcher minimally processed. You had to debone and process the whole chicken, fish, rabbit, frogs, etc. Grandpa traded his veggies for different fruits with the other oldies. Grandma made her own wine and yogurt. And I’ve worked and volunteered at animal shelters and wildlife rescue/rehab centers growing up. I still compost nearly all of my food waste. Even then, I didn’t truly understand the extent to which a properly cared for animal farm could be healthy and ethical.
Until I met one of my previous partners that is. They grew up in an incredibly rural area on a family farm that had animals, including a herd of cows for meat. They hunted, but always to protect the livestock and made use of the animals they killed/sold them to others in town who would. It seemed so counterintuitive to my sensibilities and raised my hackles at first. How could you say you love animals and do that? But I began asking questions…for hours and hours because it was nothing I’d been exposed to.
The way they and their family cared for/revered their animals seemed almost religious to me when I first encountered it. From the time they were kids, it was always the animals’ chores first. You woke up but fed and milked the cows before you made yourself breakfast. They made blankets for the animals and read to them. You gave the herd everything they needed and then some. If something in the barn needed fixing, that would happen first before new windows for the house. The animals had their own things and toys and treats. It was love! There were never cattle prods or whips or any of the machinery you associate with industrial farming. The animals would greet them happily every morning. They loved and trusted their people back enough to be naughty a way a pampered cat is. It really sunk in when I stood next to a cow for the first time — there’s nothing that would stop that animal from harming you, especially if you were a kid, unless it respected you and loved you back.
(They once told me the story of how some large predator like a bear or wolf tried to sneak into the pasture at night. The family woke up there next morning to a furry pancake that had been utterly stomped into the ground by the herd.)
A whole lifetime later, they can still remember the names, personalities, and stories of all the animals they raised. I would get bored and try to list off random names as a game to see if they ever had an animal called that, actually. But the thing that initially shocked (and stuck with me the most) was that when they’d take an older cow to the butcher, they would get packages of meat back labeled with that animal’s name. But it wasn’t ever scary or traumatizing for the kids. They always knew where food was from. Sometimes they were even there helping when that animal was born in the barn. What that did was give them an incredible sense of care, respect, and duty for those animals. When they had dinner that night, they would say grace and mean it in a way you only could if you viewed that animal as an equal family member. I was raised religious, but had never heard grace said like that, with that amount of genuine intent until I ate dinner with them. It used to be just something I did, just going through the motions.
That being said, yes it would probably be the most bio energy efficient/less emissions heavy if the whole world shifted away from a meat-based diet. But ideal isn’t always realistic/something we can achieve overnight. Meat alternatives are often expensive or time consuming to prepare (like beans/legumes). The way I see it, this blog is part of a harm reduction approach in facilitating an appreciation/love/education for livestock and then encouraging people to seek out more mindful sources of meat, like some local farms. We’ve seen time and time again, shame/blame are far less effective in getting people to re-examine their worldviews than education and love.
Tumblr media
thank you so much for this ask, this is so so so so so lovely!!! i feel like a lot of people that arent farmers or dont have farmers in their family dont really understand just how much love is there.

Some things to remember:
-Wolverines are extremely territorial solitary creatures that often have huge chunks of territory. If someone enters said territory, they're very quick to scare them away.
They lack the social instincts and pack-hunting adaptations that have developed in other predators like wolves through natural selection.
-Wolverines actually aren't even agressive rather then forced to over protect themsleves, their family, and food sources from living and adapting in such rugged and harsh environments.
But at the same time, Wolverines have been said to be "realitivy easy to tame" are "just about one of the most unique companions" and "quite enjoy harnesses"
-Domesticated Wolverines love bite their handler fingers, swat at them like curious cats, hold their legs while they walk on their own hind legs, and become very attached to one person. They enjoyed being stroked as well as tolerates being picked up by their trusted handlers.
-Female Wolverines mate May to August, nest deep in the snow, and have a thing called delayed implantation, which means their eggs don't become feralitized until winter. Most Wolverine kits (sets of 6) are born in February (around the 14th) and are born with no teeth and pure white soft fur.
-Male Wolverines are Polygamous and will mate with multiple females, but usually the same throughout their lifetime regarding location. Male Wolverines mate like wolves and often will hold the females' hips with claws and bite their neck.
Males also have what is called a Baculum, which is quite literally a penis bone. It's thin and curves upwards towards the end to help the male mate.
(This is probably why Wade called Logan a Needle dick, but no, he most likely doesn't have a Baculum bone, so stop that)
-It is very common for Wolverines mating rituals to involve some time of constant fighting, playing, and only mating after the female becomes confident in the males fighting etiquette. It's been said that males who back off yet retun are more likely to mate than males who are too rough or only engage once or twice in the play fighting. This playfighting can (and often does) include biting ears, scratching, TONS of hissing, teeth baring, swatting, snarling, and tackling.
-Wolverines are SCAVENGERs and opportunity eaters, meaning they'll eat whatever they can find or kill with their strong jaws. They also have thick neck muscles.
-No 2 Wolverines have the same chest pattern, and their feet are where they hold their territory sweat glands.
-Wolverines are said to stink because of their excessive scent glands for marking territory and mate luring. They were given the name "Gulo gulo" and "skunkcat"
-Wolverines have been known for going up against things 50x their weight and still winning, such as grizzly bears, timber wolves, moutian lions and bobcats.
Do with this information what you will :)
