You might be pleased to know that in between commissions, I have also started up work again on the cetacean colour anomalies project! Currently working my way through everyone's favourite flipper, the Common bottlenose dolphin. As you can see, lots of goodies in this species too.

Frankly I don't dare say when it might be "finished"; I've currently completed 128(!!) drawings for this thing. No saying how many more to go, especially as new images of anomalous animals keep popping up during the years I've worked on this lol. Howeverrrrrrr I am getting to the bottom of the Delphinidae species list so... who knows

ALSO to those of you who sent in in trick or treats, would you be happy to receive one (1) recently completed interesting odd boi as a treat or will only photo studies do?

I think this is one of the rarest birds I’ve seen

this leucistic common raven was spotted around anchorage, alaska. leucism is a genetic condition that results in a similar appearance to albino animals. however, leucism differs from albinism in that it’s only a partial loss of melanin; this bird can be identified as leucistic by their blue eyes, which would be pink or red in an albino bird. leucism often causes premature death in birds, as it makes them more vulnerable to predators and social rejection; additionally, melanin is an important component in birds’ feathers, and birds with less melanin may have weak or brittle feathers that result in poor flight or trouble staying warm. however, this individual has survived to adulthood and seems to be in good health as well as accepted by their flock.

If you ever wondered what the best living vertebrate is, it’s the alligator gar in my totally not biased 100% scientifically backed opinion. They are just a flawless creature. Nothing wrong with them. Good tooth to snoot ratio, they have a winning smile.

They and other monster fish absolutely should NOT be in the hands of most private keepers at all and I do NOT support morph breeding of them because of that, but pretty fishy cute :c
