It was William who made Theodore, crafting the little rabbit as a gift for Henry's unborn child. No one knew it would be twins until they were already there. And while Theodore sat in the crib with both babies, he was obviously Charlie's: the first born, the first one William held, and Henry's favorite even from the start.
Theodore was simple in design, a plush toy with a music box inside, the kind of toy William had made for his own children. Henry altered it a few years later when the twins were walking and talking, allowing it to wave its little arm and giving it a voice box to say "I love you, Charlie" on demand, further cementing it as his daughter's doll.
If he and Charlie were the only ones happy with these changes, well, to be fair, they were the only ones he'd meant to make happy.

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

I confuse people. i have a happy personality and a sad soul. i'm bold but shy. i love deeply but sometimes i feel heartless. i'm healing and hurting at the same time. i'm dedicated to growth, but i self sabotage

Feeling safe in someone's energy is a different type of intimacy. That peace of mind and security is very underrated and I cannot emphasize this enough.

Incredibly alarming that talks of “peace” in Gaza seem to extend no further than a ceasefire. How do you think they’re gonna start off where they left off themselves? Their houses are destroyed, so many have lost mothers and fathers and brothers and children, they still have no clean water and no food. Any area Israel withdraws out of is an area it already knows has been rendered inhospitable. There was even a direct quote by some IOF soldier gleefully stating how he “wasn’t sure Palestinians could go back to their homes.” So what happens when the US “succeeds at negotiating a ceasefire”? Who will be responsible for helping the Palestinians rebuild all that they’ve lost?
