i think there’s something so fucked up about the fact that when TV shows lose the rights to the various music they have in their shows, they’re contractually obligated to remove them from old episode that have already aired in future releases in streaming or DVDs

I’m rewatching an old show from the late 90s (not on any legal platform✌️) that has close captions on that also follows the background music, but clearly the video itself comes from newer releases of the show, because not only the theme song is absent from the generic (and i know they lost the rights to that song by the last season, but it was there in every season before that), but sometimes the subs of the lyrics of the song playing is just, not the same at all than the music playing. 

I also know it happened to like, Supernatural where they retroactively lost the rights to an AC/DC song and that i remember watching the show on streaming once and be really taken aback when the song wasn’t in an episode, and i looked through the DVD i own since the late 00s and io and behold, the song was on the DVD version of the episode

it’s like in the age of streaming in general we always risk stuff to get patched later but i genuinely think it’s fucked up how if a producer lose a license they have to remove it from material that has already been released, so now if you want to know what was exactly the vision on release you must have bought the DVDs when they first released. FOMO: the DVD edition.

Rafe was acutely aware of my aversion to crowds, always picking up on the subtle shifts in my demeanor that betrayed my discomfort. In those bustling environments, the vibrant, bubbly girl he adored would vanish, replaced by a quieter version of myself—a shy girl who trailed behind him like a lost puppy searching for comfort and familiarity. As laughter and chatter swirled around us, I felt the weight of the crowd pressing in, each unfamiliar face amplifying my unease. Rafe, ever observant, would often glance back at me with a reassuring smile, a silent promise that I wasn’t alone in this sea of strangers. His presence became my anchor, grounding me as I navigated the chaos, reminding me that even in the most crowded places, I could still find solace in him.

At that moment, I felt like I was trailing after Rafe at my family’s business event, anxiety washing over me like a cold wave. “Do I really have to do this?” I asked, glancing up at him, my voice barely above a whisper, hoping he might offer an escape.

“Well, your dad’s counting on you,” he replied, his tone gentle yet encouraging, paired with a smile that lifted the heaviness in my chest. Taking a deep breath, I braced myself for the speech my father had insisted I deliver, my fingers fidgeting nervously in my lap. Rafe caught my gaze and, sensing my apprehension, said with a soft chuckle,

“Stop that,” He warned, as he held my hand to stop the fidgeting, and the warmth of his grip on my hand was instantly calming. “You've got this, baby,” he added, his confidence in me a steady anchor as I prepared to face the crowd.

Finally, the moment had arrived for me to deliver my speech. As I stepped forward to face the guests, my heart raced and my palms grew clammy. I took a deep breath, introducing myself with a shaky voice, clearing my throat in an attempt to steady my nerves. The sea of expectant faces blurred together, their expressions a mix of curiosity and encouragement, but the absence of notes made my anxiety spike. I felt exposed, as if standing on a tightrope without a safety net. As I began to speak, my mind raced through the words I had practiced, but doubt crept in, threatening to derail me. I focused on a few friendly faces in the crowd, reminding myself that I wasn’t alone. With Rafe’s reassuring presence lingering in my mind, I gathered my thoughts and pressed on, determined to make my voice heard despite the overwhelming tide of nerves threatening to pull me under.

Surprisingly, it all unfolded so quickly that before I knew it, I was wrapping up my speech, my heart racing with a mix of relief and exhilaration. As I stepped down from the makeshift stage, I spotted Rafe standing there, his warm smile instantly calming my frayed nerves. I let out a deep sigh of relief.

“See? That wasn’t so bad, was it?” he said, pride radiating from his expression as he wrapped his arm around my waist and pressed a gentle kiss on my cheek.

“You were amazing,” he added, his words wrapping around me like a comforting blanket.

“Honestly, I’m just glad it’s over,” I admitted, still catching my breath.

Rafe chuckled, his eyes sparkling with admiration. “I’m so proud of you, Y/N”

A blush crept up my cheeks at his praise, and we began to weave our way back through the crowd, the noise and chatter fading into the background. “Thank you, Rafe,” I said, leaning into him a little more as we navigated the throngs of people. He glanced down at me, his expression softening. “No need to thank me, baby. I’ll always have your back.”

As we reached a quieter corner of the venue, I could finally breathe easier, the pressure of the spotlight lifting. “How about we celebrate with a drink? A champagne sounds perfect,” he suggested, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

“Absolutely,” I replied, feeling a sense of lightness wash over me.

As we approached the bar, I felt the tension of the evening dissipate. The clinking of glasses and soft music created a cozy atmosphere. Rafe leaned in closer, his voice playful. “You know, I might just have to get you a champagne every time you face a crowd. It seems to bring out the best in you.”

“Maybe it will become my secret weapon,” I joked, smiling at the thought.

When we reached the bar, Rafe ordered our drinks, and I took a moment to soak in the ambiance—the laughter, the chatter, the clinking of glasses—a far cry from the anxiety that had gripped me just moments before. As the bartender prepared our drinks, I turned to Rafe, my heart swelling with gratitude. “I really couldn’t have done it without you. You always know how to make me feel safe.”

He grinned, handing me my drink as the bartender set down two perfectly chilled champagnes. “To you,” he said, raising his glass. “And to facing fears.”

I clinked my glass against his, the sound a tiny but significant celebration of the night. With the first sip of the smooth champagne, I felt a wave of relaxation wash over me. “I think I could get used to this.” I remarked, savoring the moment.

The night was still young, and I realized that if I could face the crowd and deliver that speech, I could take on anything. With Rafe by my side, I felt ready to embrace whatever came next.

If it's okay to ask, how do you handle acephobia as an adult? I know that's a broad question, but it feels like ever since I become an adult, the acephobia in my life has kicked into overdrive. Suddenly, if I'm not an active, excited participant in 18+ conversations, I'm being @'d and teased for it no matter how many times I disengage from the conversation or say to just leave me out of it. I've had (ex, otherwise extremely toxic) friends tell me that my version of aceness doesn't exist because "nobody is that sex repulsed" because I don't read fics if they have 18+ scenes, that I can't be childish forever, and that they hated that people wrote fics about sex repulsed aces. My mother told me that she regretted not being more openly loving with my father because she thinks that's what caused me to be asexual as an adult. Being a kid gave me a shield to hide behind, but now that I'm above 18, there's just this assumption that if you're not totally comfortable with 18+ topics, you're either an infant or a puritan, and you need to be fixed, and I don't really know how to handle it without making these people feel validated that I'm "just a puritan." I just don't like being the butt of the joke because of my sexuality all the time.

Hmmm... I'll be honest, I guess I didn't see that much difference between as a teen and as an adult myself? But I guess it might be a cultural thing about the rapport to sex related to age. In my country, at least when I was growing up, you were very much expected to have an interest in sex-related topics in high school already.

That said, everything you described is true. And because I've wanted to hiss so many times at what you've described, here's deconstructed thoughts:

I'M that sex-repulsed, anyone who says that shit can fuck off

Anyone who says they downright HATE that people write things about sex-repulsed ace has a queer hate issue. That's downright what it is. It's fucked up and they oughta check themselves and their aphobia.

Aah yes, the classic "sex=adult and that's the only thing that equals adult ever". While we're at it I'll also assume that when they say "18+" they just mean sex and none of the other many many things only a person over 18 experiences and understands?

Anyway... It sounds like you're surrounded by pretty fucking sucky people. Granted personally there's a fuckton of bullshit I just smile and nod at on a daily basis, and I don't hang out in group spaces, much less in fandom spaces, because sadly with the state of how things are, I know they're kinda anti-me by nature. It's lonely and heartbreaking and I won't pretend it's easy every day, far from it, but the alternative of having to force oneself to put up with even more hate and erasure is worse.

So yeah, lots of self-preservation reflexes. Lots of laughing at a person's aphobic joke like "Wow that's a glorious asshole if I ever knew one and I'm gonna stay as far away from them as I can from now on." Got very tough when that description involved some coworkers in the past, but hey, at least my dance of joy was all the more satisfying when they left the company.

And on the flip side, if a person is friendly and open to listen, and learn if needed, without dismissing me? Oh you bet I'll hold on to those people for dear life and do my best to hang out with them more. Such people are scattered across my life, but they helped me build a support system of self confidence that made it much easier for me every day, and helped me build the confidence to come out as ace to my whole family over time. (I also have amazing bros who somehow always seemed to consider my asexuality as an obvious part of me and their opinion is the one that mattered the most to me from the start family-wise, so y'know, I'm lucky.)

So yeah... Preserving myself from people who invalidate me and cherishing those who don't really did a lot for me. It made me more and more confident over time to mention that I'm ace casually to new people, because these people taught me that hey, sometimes you tell someone you're ace and they somehow DON'T turn you into a laughing stock for it! And yeah, it's kinda fucked up that this has to be some kind of incredible news, but... Hopefully the fact that it's possible nonetheless can bring you a bit of hope.

Ofc that also means that sometimes I'll be having like, dinner with friends of a friend that I've never met before, and suddenly I'll find myself thinking "Wow these people who just met me and know nothing about me just made like 3 jokes involving me having sex in the span of 2 hours, and I forgot that was apparently 'normal'." It's weird for sure. Bit of a survival game of sorts sometimes. But hey... It's a life, ig, we didn't choose our lives so we gotta play the hand we're dealt. And uh... How did that Bojack Horseman quote go again? Oh yeah.

Bellara has previously been described as "obsessed with uncovering ancient secrets" and "obsessed with uncovering the secrets of ancient Elvhenan"; no doubt this is an area of her hyper-focus :)

"Plucky" follows the theme of previous descriptions of her in articles and such as things like spunky and effervescent, and considering that the Veil Jumpers welcome those brave enough to face the reality-warping magic

In the original post of these blurbs, Bellara's family name was mis-spelled as "Lutara". After a few minutes a new version of the post went up with "Lutare"

Davrin: "Griffon dad" was so cute and wholesome, ough, my heart. The closeness between Davrin and Assan is evident from these mo-cap scenes, it's really nice to see :)

Emmrich's blurb reminded me of the time he was described as "friendly, scholarly, and sincerely proud of his companion, Manfred - a walking skeleton" [source]. The adjectives sincere and friendly make him sound so nice, like he'd be very considerate. I feel like he will be lovely to talk to in the game

Harding: I feel like the new bit here was that in addition to these things, she also loves fantasy stories. +5 cuteness points. Maybe her mom and dad read her fantasy books or told her stories when she was small? Avvar cultural tales aren't 'fantasy stories', but Harding's general interest in tales and stories comes up in Jaws of Hakkon if the Inquisitor asked her what she thinks about the Avvar. She says that when she was a little girl, a lady in their village used to tell her Avvar tales. "Being able to see their lives up close... it’s nothing like I thought"

If Lucanis is a workaholic, maybe he is treating his assassin role as more than a 9-5 job in terms of hours hh /lh? ^^ the descriptor (assassin-job-aholic) tracks; he maintains that death is his calling, and the training he received from Caterina when he was young was not kind, sometimes literally beaten into him. like she made him live a certain life

Socially awkward Lucanis

In Neve's line of work, in a place like Tevinter, when you're not of the ruling classes, you would 100% have to be clever and guarded. I imagine as well that a detective/investigator knows how to ask questions in order to gain information from other people, and that due to this, they be more considered/guarded in terms of what they say themselves (especially about themselves). I also love her character trait of having a guarded heart, but past her defenses, it's a heart of gold 🥺 In the release date reveal trailer, in the romance scene we see of her, she said "You and me, Rook. Maybe that's what scares me". like she'd started to let her guard down a little bit and was feeling a bit vulnerable 🥺

Taash: someone that lives for adventure, breathes fire, is a pirate-basically, and doesn't mind taking risks would totally be a thrill-seeker. and is there any greater thrill in Thedas than taking down a dragon? :D I like her combination of being headstrong and also very knowledgeable, it's nuanced :)

I honestly don't get the hatred on Gregory. He's literally a child, an unfortunate one at that.

He's basically just a more mature and sassy version of the Crying Child (who people really like, mind you), heck, basically ANY of the canon kids of FNAF.

People are SO butthurt over him supposedly "killing" Cassie and beating up robots who tried to. MURDER. HIM. Friendly reminder that Cassie getting betrayed was ONE of THREE endings. Not to mention the Mimic literally personifying itself as Gregory, so who's to say the elevator voice wasn't that monster? The books explain that the Mimic can mess with electrical equipment using only its CLAW.

If we're talking about people getting mad over Gregory being a heartless murderer in GGY, he LITERALLY was under Glitchtrap's influence, EXACTLY the reason Vanny was. Blame the virus, not him.

I honestly think the reason why people are so mad at Gregory is because he was against the most simpable and most well-written characters. If that was the genuine reason, I would not be surprised. This fandom is nuts.

Gregory's been shown to be kind and compassionate, forming a bond with a crying girl when no one showed up to her birthday, as well as saving a woman who reluctantly tried to kill him. He gave them BOTH a second chance at being happy. The thing with Freddy just speaks for itself. Dad and son found family.

As for the "gremlin" behavior? He's 12. Enough said. Kids are kids. If you hate that, FNAF is not for you.

How can you describe miguel mentally and emotionally ?

Oh man... This is a tough one. I'll start by saying that, even though we saw a glimpse of his mindset on ATSV, we still have sooo much to learn and know about him. (We just had it for 15 mins. jsksk)

I did this thing a while ago, focusing mostly on his grieving that addressed the rest just superficially.

I won't say I know him better than anyone cause

1. No. Characters evolve and I feel it'd be disrespectful af to just reduce him to a couple of traits or claim that I know him better than I know my nipple jsksk.

2. He's a complex character that is so well written that makes us all go psychoanalysing his behavior 🤭. (And love me a man that puts me to think)

But jokes aside.

He's emotionally unavailable. Simple as that. And though it might sound obvious to some, (And our savior complex kicks in and tell us to fix him 👀 yeah, I'm talking to us jsksk) there's no way we can do that, cause that's up to him ~. (And you can't help someone that doesn't wants to be helped.)

Healing takes time. And guess who overworks himself to the point of having his cortisol running 24/7 through his body? Miguel. He doesn't have time for therapy. His fear of watching it all go to hell once more is a too fresh wound. Some traumas last decades, and naturally people find ways around it without interacting with it directly to avoid reliving such impairment.

(I do appreciate the fact that in the new comic book, we see him trying to make amends with Conchata though. He's trying!!! :D.)

2. He's a patient man. I mean, he recruited after all versions of Spiderman that have this trait in common: They're perceived as friendly. And they're mostly young adults and teens. (Both are a handful btw. And most stories and comics Peter Parker is depicted as a 18-23 year old)

But they like pushing his buttons, (cracking a joke every 5 minutes, doing whatever they want even when specific orders were given) however. He doesn't strike me as someone that is mean on purpose, he's just wary but not totally closed off towards people. Wich is kinda contradictory on its own since:

You don't go around trusting people first hand upon just knowing them, right? 👀. But at the same time he showed Miles his own canon event, trying to empathise with him before dropping the bomb. (He was mentally preparing him, something he wasn't able to get but to experience the worst way)

A hypocrite truly. And not in the bad bad way (He calls a nerd the NWH Peter yet he is one) , cynic to an extent (Since he keeps repeating he's been the only one trying to keep it all together, meaning he still doesn't fully trusts the people around him.) A showoff (Did you see the way he turns towards Gwen when he first appears? Or the way he says "I was gonna do that") , arrogant to also an extent. ("It's much more cooler than a watch").

He took the job as a leader cause he knew none else was gonna, and if there was another one willing to assume the role, I'm sure he'd be dissatisfied with it's development cause our man likes to feel safe in when he's in control. (A trait often met in people with generalized anxiety)

And when he's not, his brain immediately goes into threat mode, but even so is able to adapt. (I have a theory he learned this the bad way. We've still got to see the origins of his Rapture intake though 🤔)

Now, we know this man is emotionally unavailable, through and through. His love is work. And married to it.

Now, I might get a bit controversial after this and some might not like it, but I don't think he wants another family after that. (We don't know much about this Miguel's background or family except that he was looking for things, and he found Gabi's universe. And for you to look into another universe in need to be happy says enough to imagine his family or is non existent or is really messed up.)

I know we want him to be happy, (And the producers better give him some healing and closure or else.) Cause he deserves everything. But grieving doesn't work like that. A loss like that is unmeasurable, it changes literally your brain chemistry forever. The least appropriate thing you'd do is have another kid or someone after such event.

(I've seen what that is an it's not nice. Specially for the involved kid)

But we're all ill here so Thank goodness fanfics exist ❤️

He allowed himself to be selfish enough to be happy, had his fun but consequences caught up to him. Consequences that he didn't know and now has him perpetuating his guilt and mind berating.

Hence the workaholic attitude, the coldness. He's done with establishing something with people in general, not just someone special. He's done of getting trampled by life, so he sticks with something he knows he can do very well and pours into it. The Multiverse is his hyperfixation.

Keeps him busy, keeps him on control but curiously and contradictory again, it keeps him needed and useful.

He's a walking contradiction. He doesn't need people to watch over him, not cause he doesn't deserves it. He knows that people worry about him, that's why he just minds his own thing to not be a burden.

Self-Sufficient, over achiever (Alchemax CEO & Spiderman, a genius, bilingual, probably more languages on his list cause he leads a multicultural and multidimensional task force babes ~)

He's not bad, he just doesn't know how to direct his anger or allows himself to feel properly and often rationalises his feelings. (Another coping mechanism where you're tired of feeling stuff and justify difficult or negative with logical thoughts)

But again, curiously knows how to communicate. I know it's fucked to say when he threw a trash bin to Miles before that. But! Hear me out.

Retaking the previous point, he was preparing Miles to give him the talk. After he throws the trash bin, he knows that anger won't solve things (Even though he wanted to give some chancla spanks to Miles for being an anomaly) So he chills, and you can see the transition between being completely furious to a more emotional approach. (Parenting surge there.)

He starts explaining everything from scratch, (literally with drawings and stuff) so Miles wouldn't be lost on what he was on about. Then they moved to the canon events, and shows his major trauma to him as a sign of empathy and an invitation to honest talk.

He admits he doesn't like what he does, and if you look closer his face is so damn distressed when locking Miles in the trap. It pains him, but again, someone has to do it, yet none is scarred enough to bear the burden.

I just want to hug him and send him to therapy. Cause he needs it. (Pretty sure he gave up on that too cause it was too time consuming.)

I'd be satisfied if the writers gave him that ❤️. But yeah. That's one of my many takes on him. Hope it helps c:

Just a little time

Different turn of events for Keep out as I also want to write a more fluffy version. It's gonna be much shorter though. This starts off when Jax is in your room looking around.

Jax looked and found nothing. Your room was normal. Huh. "Maybe their just really protective over their personal space?" That is until he spotted a small box under your bed. He picks it up and opens it. Their's a small badly made ragdoll of Jax in it. He zones out staring at it until he hears a creak from behind him. He spins around and sees you in all your red faced glory. "I-I didn't want you to see it. It's not finished yet.......... D-do you like it?" You get swept up to a giant hug. He peppers your face with kisses spouting out about how much he loves it. You go from apple red to beet red. "Why didn't you tell me you could sow? It's an amazing doll, doll." "Th-thanks. I've been working on it for a long time." You must've put so much time into this. He's realizes how much he loves you then and there. He needs to do something special for you. You deserve it.

But for now you two are taking a nap together. With the plush Jax of course. Can't leave him out. He'll get jealous! (A much more family friendly version of my last post. Now you can choose which is your fav then call it cannon.)

But that's not all -- Gregory and Eddie have asked Eddie's sister, Monday, to serve as a surrogate for a royal baby, and that means Monday has to figure out life in Askazer-Shivadlakia, along with determining where she stands with her one-time fling and now full-time friend Georgie, the royal head of security.

I honestly don't get the hatred on Gregory. He's literally a child, an unfortunate one at that.

He's basically just a more mature and sassy version of the Crying Child (who people really like, mind you), heck, basically ANY of the canon kids.

People are SO butthurt over him supposedly "killing" Cassie and beating up robots who tried to. MURDER. HIM. Friendly reminder that Cassie getting betrayed was ONE of THREE endings. Not to mention the Mimic literally personifying itself as Gregory, so who's to say the elevator voice wasn't that monster? The books explain that the Mimic can mess with electrical equipment using only its CLAW.

If we're talking about people getting mad over Gregory being a heartless murderer in GGY, he LITERALLY was under Glitchtrap's influence, EXACTLY the reason Vanny was. Blame the virus, not him.

I honestly think the reason why people are so mad at Gregory is because he was against the most simpable and most well-written characters. If that was the genuine reason, I would not be surprised. This fandom is nuts.

Gregory's been shown to be kind and compassionate, forming a bond with a crying girl when no one showed up to her birthday, as well as saving a woman who reluctantly tried to kill him. He gave them BOTH a second chance at being happy. The thing with Freddy just speaks for itself. Dad and son found family.

As for the "gremlin" behavior? He's 12. Enough said. Kids are kids. If you hate that, this series is not for you.
