Contrary to what you may hear from pundits and pollsters, people do not vote in blocs. Elections are won – or lost – by people casting their individual votes.
Don't assume you know how someone is voting based on superficial information based on stereotypes.
Of course when somebody waves a "stop the steal" banner and still gets agitated about Hillary's email server – that's somebody you shouldn't waste time on. But displaying a US flag, as long as it's not upside down, does not make somebody a MAGA Nazi.
Many cynical bothsiderists are not beyond persuasion. On the climate issue alone the difference between Biden and Trump is stark. It's necessary to make those differences stand out even more.
Not everybody is as engaged as you are. We all know about "low information voters" who mistakenly believe that Biden was responsible for SCOTUS killing Roe v. Wade or bizarrely think that Trump had a competent response to the COVID-19 emergency. In cases like that some tactful remedial history may be helpful.
The main point is that you can't leave it up to others to win this election. We all need to quit looking for some Deus ex machina to save America from Trump. When pro-democracy people feel that their own personal activities are what will make the difference between dictatorship and freedom, then freedom will win.

i can’t believe the majority chose Glorfindel in the zombie apocalypse: choose your fighter poll (silm edition). so what if he’s cheerful and has good hair. what happens AFTER he self sacrifices and DIES to buy the post apocalyptic refugees/you time to get away??? there are still (presumably) MORE zombies out there and your protection is gone!!!
#at least Finrod can build an underground city!!!#and while the efficacy and safety of ripping a zombie's throat out with his teeth is a VERY questionable method of self defense#it is still respectable!!!!#sure Glorfindel came back EVENTUALLY but that was what? a thousand plus years later? by the grace of the Valar??? HELLO#blogchatter#that being said everybody in the tags is hilarious and make good points#except for the Feanor voters#i feel like y'all just want to watch the world burn#i feel like the best scenario is living in a fortress managed by both Finrod AND Maedhros

Undead character showdown: Semifinals, matchup two
Who is your favorite undead character?
Propaganda:
Diggory Graves: "What if Frankenstein's creature got love and support and was also nonbinary and in love with a transmasc ghost? That's Diggory Graves in a nutshell. They're an absolute cinnamon roll and I love them with my whole heart." -Submitter
Kevin Wettsworth: "He's a powerful vampire wizard plus he's so funny." -Submitter
"And Kevin has his powerful wizard gun." -Voter
I genuinely don't have the motivation to put all of the propaganda as it's own separate thing so you can look in the notes of the linked post

In the White House press briefing room in the year 2069, the presidential lectern was alight for the first time in decades. On the dais, hidden behind thick blue curtains, a series of lenses came to life, powered by thrumming machines the size of cabinets. In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the sea, The light from the lenses reflected along an array of precision mirrors, engineered down to the nanometer, reflecting and warping the light, directing every beam to a spot just behind the lectern. A shimmering orb of color began to grow and take shape. It was a hologram, the first of its kind in quality and fidelity, but needing time to form. With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me… The hologram grew, like a multicolored egg, until it took the shape of a body - a woman’s body, thin but not too thin, tan but also pale, tall but not too tall or too short, a work of perfection as delicately engineered as the machinery that created it. The Mary Jane shoes, the pleated skirt, the puffy blouse with Juliet sleeves. The cherry-red hair with a big white bow on top. The baby blue eyes with little white five-pointed stars for pupils. For better or for worse, the USA’s decades-long interregnum was drawing to a close. As He died to make men holy… With a thrum of light, the hologram was now displaying at one-hundred percent fidelity. The first president of the American League, a rough and discordant coalition of states that had emerged from the fall of the United States federal government, newly embodied with vague and untested powers in the transition out of provisional government, was an anime girl vtuber. Let us die to make men free, While God is marching on! She smiled. It was a wide, sharp smile, like the letter v, brimming with barely-concealed pride, the smile of someone who was always up to mischief, but never too much. She turned her head, letting the cameras see it from every angle, waving and winking as the booming chorus of Glory, Glory, Hallelujah faded into the background. “And we’re back, folks!” she said. Her voice was light and airy, like a rich pastry or a strong dose of anesthetics. “In case you’ve been living under a rock for these past few years, I’m Sunny Roosevelt: winner of Miss Vtuber North America 206X, named ‘America’s Cloth Mother’ by the GLN Worldwide Weekly, and now, your president!” The ‘living under a rock’ comment wasn’t a rhetorical gesture; a non-negligible amount of people in the former USA had spent the past few years under some form of rock, whether that was an apocalypse bunker, abandoned basement, or literal rock. “Folks, I know it’s been a rough couple decades for America. There was mass infrastructure failure, natural disasters, zombie COVID, falling real estate prices, and I’m pretty sure most of Florida’s still underwater. But that - ends - here!” she thumped her fist on the podium. “Because I love America. I love America so much I am kissing America with tongue. To all my loyal voters, followers, and subscribers, my promise to you, now that I’m here…” her eyes narrowed and slanted sharply as she gripped the podium and leaned closer. “...big things are coming.”

Jettisoning progressive values in the name of some sort of illusionary (and most likely temporary) meme-fueled 'class solidarity' defeats its whole purpose. It's also hard to achieve class solidarity when over 70 million people willingly voted for a man who is cavalierly appointing billionaires, and a good portion of voters chose not to vote at all - allegedly due to said 'progressive values' that they are now willingly ready to renounce in the name of 'class solidarity.'
America is stuck in a nonsense loop, and it kind of feels like we're past the point of no return. Between MAGA zombies and bare minimum left-wing 'activism,' the brain rot seems to be too deep-seated.
Nihilism, ignorance, and violence is all we know. It's just easier.
This is not a personal takedown of any specific individual. I'm speaking to a larger systemic issue in this country.
In South Korea, people are literally flocking to the streets to protect and vouch for democracy. What are we doing? Posting memes, violent thoughts, and thirst posts.
Something's wrong.
Again, I fully anticipate folks to tell me to shut up and kill myself, which is fine - this country knows no other way.

Tim has a habit of making meetings drag on for far too long. He has been discussing possible plans of retaliation and survival in the event of an "anti life equation powered zombie apocalypse"
... Yeah right, nerd!
Still, Superboy thinks Tim has great ideas, he just can't keep the crowd's attention. What else could Con do but support his team leader? A triumphant shout, a humiliated squeal: Tim will surely captivate the hearts (and camera feeds) of the voters.

On rates specifically, Trump could jawbone Jerome Powell like he did during his last administration. And there’s a good chance that he will replace him at some point. But even then this doesn’t automatically solve anything. If you take mainstream economic thinking seriously, and the Fed moves to aggressively lower interest rates to align itself with the administration, then this theoretically is inflationary, and then you just move the challenge elsewhere. A lot of the uncertainty hovering in the bond market is being priced into the term premium, roughly defined as the extra compensation investors demand to hold longer-term bonds. There’s a popular idea out there that the industrial policy of the Biden administration was a political failure. Efforts to reshore or revitalize domestic manufacturing didn’t change the Democrats’ fortunes among working class voters or deliver the Rust Belt states. On the other hand, it’s a little bit unclear how much this was the intent. A big part of the motivation for the IRA was climate-specific, and a lot new factories are in ‘red’ areas, in part to ensure GOP support for them after the changing of the administration. Furthermore, there’s a big China-hawk element among the Democrats’ ‘post-neoliberal’ base, which is in large part motivated by technological and industrial competition. [...] A bunch of stuff has been moving alongside Trump’s chances of winning (things like Bitcoin, DJT, and the dollar index), but one thing that’s kind of flown under the radar has been the move in perpetual preferreds issued by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, a.k.a the GSE ‘zombie’ stocks. The bet here is that Trump could release Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from conservatorship, which would mean they could theoretically pay out dividends to preferred investors once again. And finally, people love to talk about so-called “bond market vigilantes” but stock market vigilantes also exist. According to Gallup, 61% of American households own stocks. Stocks are how people fund retirements, college education, and so forth. You could argue that — with the gutting of defined benefit pension plans — a rising stock market is an implicit part of America’s social contract. And so when you think about policy adventurism — such as aggressive tariffs — it might be useful to think about how that would go down in equity world, and the effect that that would have on voting households.

Trump supporters are trying to blur Trump's racism by posting fake AI images of him being the object of adoration by African Americans.
One of the disseminators of such images is a white MAGA talk show host in Florida.
Unlike in 2016, when there was evidence of foreign influence campaigns, the AI-generated images found by the BBC appear to have been made and shared by US voters themselves. One of them was Mark Kaye and his team at a conservative radio show in Florida. They created an image of Mr Trump smiling with his arms around a group of black women at a party and shared it on Facebook, where Mr Kaye has more than one million followers. At first it looks real, but on closer inspection everyone's skin is a little too shiny and there are missing fingers on people's hands - some tell-tale signs of AI-created images. "I'm not a photojournalist," Mr Kaye tells me from his radio studio. "I'm not out there taking pictures of what's really happening. I'm a storyteller." He had posted an article about black voters supporting Mr Trump and attached this image to it, giving the impression that these people all support the former president's run for the White House. In the comments on Facebook, several users appeared to believe the AI image was real. "I'm not claiming it is accurate. I'm not saying, 'Hey, look, Donald Trump was at this party with all of these African American voters. Look how much they love him!'" he said. "If anybody's voting one way or another because of one photo they see on a Facebook page, that's a problem with that person, not with the post itself."
Basically, Mark Kaye is telling the BBC that he has the right to deceive people.
Another spreader of fake images is a Christian fundamentalist known as "Shaggy" in Michigan.
We tracked down the person behind the account called Shaggy, who is a committed Trump supporter living in Michigan.
"[My posts] have attracted thousands of wonderful kind-hearted Christian followers," he said in messages sent to the BBC on social media. When I tried to question him on the AI-generated image he blocked me. His post has had over 1.3 million views, according to the social media site X. Some users called it out, but others seemed to have believed the image was real.
FYI: This is "Shaggy". Is anybody shocked that the people spreading these fake images of blacks are old white MAGA zombies?
Apparently there are still people using oligarch Elon Musk's Twitter X. Don't expect Odious Elon to do anything about obvious attempts to deceive users.
Cliff Albright, the co-founder of campaign group Black Voters Matter, said there appeared to be a resurgence of disinformation tactics targeting the black community, as in the 2020 election. "There have been documented attempts to target disinformation to black communities again, especially younger black voters," he said.
If Trump supporters think that they have the right to spread bogus images, we then have the right to have some fun with them. 😋

KWAME TURE BLASTS AFRICAN BOURGEOISIE
On this day in 1998, Pan-African revolutionary and icon Kwame Ture died in Guinea, Conakry. Born on 29 June 1941, Ture, formerly known as Stokely Carmichael, moved to the United States from Trinidad with his family at 11. He led a life marked by a strong dedication to the Pan-African cause. In his mid-20s, he became chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), which primarily focused on organising and mobilising Black people in the US South to exercise their voting rights. He later oversaw SNCC members who co-founded the Lowndes County Freedom Organization, an SNCC affiliate focused on registering Black voters in Lowndes County, Alabama. Ture was at the forefront of this struggle throughout the 1960s, from the Freedom Rides (challenging segregation at bus stops) to the rise of the Black Power Movement. He later helped found the All-African People's Revolutionary Party. The majority of Ture's last three decades were spent in the West African nation of Guinea, a testament to his commitment to Pan-Africanism. Here, he adopted the name ‘Kwame Tureaud in honour of Ghana's founding leader and Pan-African icon Kwame Nkrumah and Guinea's then-president Sékou Touré, two revolutionaries he drew a lot of inspiration from.
Despite becoming friends with many African leaders during his time on the continent, Ture never held back from calling out the worst tendencies of the African bourgeoisie. He pointed out that it was essential to understand that not all Africans are on the side of the masses and revolutionaries. In remembrance of this great son of Africa, here is a 1989 clip of him exposing the African bourgeoisie.
My comment: Bro Kwame, all I see are beautiful, black humans being corrupted into consumatronic zombies by Whiteness and capitalism. Until we remove that veil of idiocy and outright drunken adultery, Blk ppl will NEVER be free.

What Anime Do I Watch?
An immediate return to anime polling - but only because I know I'm gonna catch up Spy x Family in one day. If this is your first time seeing one of these: I am terrible at finishing series, starting series, and making choices, so I let Tumblr decide what I watch.
Propaganda* (*my thoughts and stuff) below the poll. You are all welcome - encouraged, even - to reblog and recruit (bully) your followers to your cause.
Propaganda:
Haikyuu - I said what I said. Look, I know three of their names 2 seasons in. Kenma, because he's the best. Hinata, because idk how you avoid learning that when he's our main-est character. And Kiyoko, because I respect her but still had to look up if it was spelled like that or "Kyoko."
Horimiya: The Missing Pieces - More of my adorable lil romance anime <3. I can't prove it and it's not confirmed/canon but go watch season 1 and try to tell me that this show doesn't have strong "everyone is bi" vibes.
Zombie Land Saga + Revenge - We love ladies and hate TERFs <3
Jujutsu Kaisen - Like, I get the appeal of Gojo, Geto, and Nanami, but I want to understand the appeal of Gojo, Geto, and Nanami, you know? I have only seen pictures of these people and anime tiktokers simping for them. I want to understand.
Sk8 - I say this unbiasedly for the voters, but, like, y'all have been 2nd in every poll so far - you need a win.
Terror in Resonance - I'm gonna make y'all mad when I say this but I'm sorry I have to: "So it's like Danganronpa 3: Despair Arc but with a reasonable motive?" Thank you. I'm sorry.

Little Marko?!?!? Little baby Rubio!?!?!
I hate every single trump voter and vote abstainer and third party voter with equal parts fire and ice
This whole administration is a who's who of who I never want to hear from. It's a zombie parade of soulless dirt bags, grifters, and hate mongers. Every name I see makes me feel like I just ate a moldy lemon out of a dumpster. It's like someone went into a condemned biohazard lab and farted life into the worst pile of beakers they could find.
I don't know why little Marko broke me, but honestly so many things have broken me in the last week that I'm mostly angry shards anyway.
