It was decided by the elders of a conference between Jiang and Lan sects that would change your life forever. You, a Jiang Sect adopted member and outstanding doctor, are going to be married to Lan Wangji of the Lan Sect.
They thought that this union was a stronger connecting element between the two sects and would place law and peace in that country. Lan Qiren, of course, at first incredulous because, after all, it is you who are not a cultivator, does come around when he learns of your remarkable skills as a doctor and dancer.
You had roamed the streets as an orphan since tender childhood until the sect of Jiang took you in, nurtured you up, and gave you a sense of family. This is why, in return, you felt like you had received so much from them that you could at least go through with the arranged marriage, since it was for their wants.
Unbeknownst to you, though, this marriage brokering had not been totally one-sided to Lan Wangji. He had held a torch for you even before this marriage proposal. Wangji admired your virtues, kindness, intelligence, beauty, and your passion for helping others.
A year ago, when the water demons had poisoned the rivers in Caiyi Town, Zewu-Jun called upon your experience. With skillful concoction of herbs and plants, you developed an antitoxin and saved the townspeople. Wangji had helped you in the crisis, from which moment he fell hopelessly in love with you.
On your Chinese wedding day, you stood beside Lan Wangji dressed in traditional red and gold elaborate wedding robes. His composed stoic perception about everything cloaked a veritable mass of love for you. This was the finalization of his dreams with the woman he loves. It's a duty for you.
The ceremony is beautiful and very solemn. As you exchange vows, you catch minor glimpses of the tenderness in his eyes. His touch is gentle as he helps you with the rituals and his voice is stable as he speaks his promises. There is comfort in him for you, though you do not exactly understand what he truly feels down inside.
When married to the Lan sect, you moved into the Cloud Recesses. Your new life was started, and, soon enough, you seemed like the renown great and kind doctor among the inhabitants of Gusu and Yunmeng. You really take your work in a serious manner, treating patients with care and love. Days turn into nights, spent amidst the quiet serenity of your new home, where you heal others.
Wangji is always there, a silent guard by your side. He respects your space, never forcing you into anything. But there is undeniable chemistry between you two, an intense magnetic pull the two of you can't help. You find him watching you far too often, a pursed longing evident in his dark eyes, a shade darker with desire. He can't control himself, can't resist tendering his hands towards you, even though all the cells of his body want to touch you, make you his own.
At night, you share a bed.
The nearness is both a comfort and a torment for Wangji. He lies beside you, body rigid with restraint, eyes warm—no gaze could be more heated—in the dark. There are the times when he reaches out to touch your hair or your hand, but always thinks better of it, afraid of stepping over a certain line.
It is one night—you wake up and find him sitting up, with his back to you, moonlight lighting up his profile from the window. His breaths are heavy, his shoulders are heavy. You can see the struggle in his posture, to fight the need to keep his wants in check.
"Wangji?" you whisper, sitting up and touching his arm gently.
He slightly flinches at the light touch of your hand, but he doesn't move away. He looks at you, his eyes showing an emotion too raw—the breath is taken out of you. "I'm sorry, babe," he murmurs, his voice raw. "Did I wake you up?"
You shake your head. "It's okay. Are you alright?"
He nodded, but a storm was written in his eyes. "It's just. hard sometimes," he confides, his voice barely over a whisper. "You being right here, right next to me, and not. Never mind, go back to sleep."
You only nod, slowly, not quite understanding what he might be trying to say, but some inexplicable way feeling the great depth of the struggle. You lie back down, pulling the blanket up to your chin.
"Alright, Wangji," you say softly. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight," he says, and you can't hear it at all—it's just a mumble.
You wouldn't know that his hand hesitated for a moment before landing gently on your waist, the touch light enough that you don't stir. He pulls you close but lets go when he feels you begin to wake.

The next few days will be punctuated by a steady beat of duty, patients to treat, quiet moments. You had found a place in this new life, taken comfort in the routine and beauty. Lan Wangji was firmly entrenched; his silent strength, his steadfastness—these just quietly wove into your daily existence.
Actions speak louder than words, and Wangji proved that. From your very arrival, he had looked to your comfort. He respected one's space but with the subtle ways of his, he would make one feel tended. He brings you rare herbs so that you may work them into your medicines and knows precisely what you need, without your having to ask. He watched from afar, eyes admiration-laden as you whirled around secluded gardens. He was like a shield, always close but not encroaching.
One evening, when you were in your study working studiously over a new batch of medicine, you found a small cup of tea sitting beside you. It was your very favorite blend, the one that calmed your mind and soothed your spirit after the day had grown long. You never heard Wangji enter the room at all, but there he was, making sure you were cared for.
"Thank you, Lan Wangji," you said, looking up through your lashes at him with a soft smile.
He nodded, his face serene as usual. "You've been working hard. You should take a break."
His care for your well-being touched your heart. After all, it wasn't only the tea; it was everything: knowing when you needed rest, gently reminding you to eat if you got too engrossed in your work, and being there with you during bad moments.
You found yourself taking greater and greater notice of these small courtesies. Many mornings you awoke to find a fresh flower on your bedside stand, a quiet, lovely gesture that brightened each new day. He went with you to see patients in the village. The villagers would speak of him, telling you, quite often, what a lucky woman you were to have such a considerate husband.
Although he himself seemed to be impassive, Lan Wangji's actions spoke much about his feelings than words ever could. He remembered everything, from the kind of food you like to the books you loved reading, or even the way you liked your clothes folded. It was almost as if he elected himself to know you inside and out, to look after you in all possible ways.
You were tending to a little girl with a high fever. Lan Wangji stood nearby, about to take over any moment. He did not shift his eyes from your face, trailing each of your actions—indeed—with interest and admiration, yet something more which could not be named. The girl finally fell asleep, and an overwhelming relief swept through your body.
"You did well," Wangji said softly, his voice soothing the tired soul.
You smiled back, and suddenly the warmth crept up to your chest. "I couldn't have done it without your help."
As you walked back toward the Cloud Recesses, you couldn't help but reminisce about the past few months. He had shown you more graciousness, respect, and care than you ever hoped to find in an arranged marriage. He treated you not just like his wife but as a dear person he cherished.
You had grown to rely on Wangji, to seek him out to be at his side. His happiness had become entwined with yours. You closed your eyes, letting the coolness of the night air fill into your lungs.
Was it that you were falling in love with him? The thought lingered, a whisper to your mind.
You thought of the touch—how, at times, his hand brushed yours, sending shivers down your spine. You thought of his eyes—how soft they were when he was looking at you, full of an emotion that now makes sense: love.
You had been so consumed by your duty, being the wife the Jiang sect wanted you to be, that you had never truly allowed yourself to see Wangji. But now, walking home here through the night, he's as clear as crystal. You see a man who gave his heart to you a long, long time ago, before you ever realized it.
This feeling found a place within you right away as the days passed. You started looking for his presence even more, searching ways in which you might be able to stay with Wangji just a little while longer. You sat somewhat longer than usual when you shared meals with him, and you relished in the serenity of such camaraderie. You would watch him exercise with the sword—his grace and skill blended so eloquently together in the form.
You'd find excuses to touch him, a hand on his arm, or a casual brush of your fingers against his.
Tumblr media
One evening, as you were sitting beside the lotus pool, a wave of serenity seemed to wash over you. High above, a hanged silver light from itself was hanging in the moon to bathe in the water. Wangji sat beside you, his presence balm to the soul. Your gaze then fell on him, and your heart felt emotions which could no longer remain hidden.
"Wangji," you said softly, the weight of realization making your voice tremble a little. "Thank you for everything you do for me."
Turning toward you, his eyes seemed to deepen with the same profound and steadfast emotion. "You don't have to thank me," he replied. "It's my honor to be able to care for you."
You smiled, and it crept up on you all the way up to your chest. "I just wanted you to know that I appreciate it. And that. I care for you too."
It was the closest you'd ever come to a confession, but it felt right. You didn't need to say the words flat-out; it was there in your eyes, in the way you looked at him. And as he reached out to take your hand in his, you knew that he understood. What you felt for him was returned in his eyes: a silent, beautiful promise of what was to be.
You realized that love had grown silently, increment by increment, binding these two together. And now, sitting next to each other under the moon, it was full—complete in a way you'd never known. You didn't have to force a confession. You didn't have to rush. Your love was so patient, so kind, and it would develop at its own pace.
For now, it was enough to be simply sitting next to Wangji, your hand in his, and know that you are loved and cherished in a way which one had never thought possible.
Tumblr media
After such a day, the doing of treatments, you would be inclined to draw to Wangji's Jingshi—one object of more curiosity than any other. Withdrawn, reclusive, he would retreat there to play his qin. The sweet strains had to be a balm to his spirit, and although he could not possibly know it, to yours as well. The notes carrying his emotions, each one a whisper of his thoughts and feelings.
You and Wangji both had separate rooms, but occasionally Wangji had to pop into his private room to monkey around.
Tonight his guqin melody already had reached out to you even before you had time to get in yourself. Of a different kind, it was hauntingly beautiful and full of longing; he paused at the door, listening to it call—that tune was of such a complexity that it was as if the music were beckoning him, drawing him—until, before he knows it, he had already stepped in.
Wangji had turned his back completely towards the door, not minding the least bit about it. His attention was all on what was spread in front of him. His fingers flitted over strings with seasoned, graceful movements, pulling notes out of them to create a tune that enveloped you like material for the warmest blanket. You closed your eyes as it began to fill you to the core. Slowly, your feet became so responsive to the beat of the melody.
And in next to no time, you were dancing your steps conceived from liquid grace. Every step a vent to the churning feelings inside you—the adoration and thankfulness toward one person, a new burgeoning love which you had only tried to figure out. Your body got into movement with the music, and every move had a silent talk with Wangji's soul.
You opened your eyes to meet Wangji's gaze, a smile on your face. His eyes had that feeling of overwhelming emotion—powerful, in a way that quite literally took your breath away. The music consoled your ears, but just for a moment; it was the touch that brought you back. Raw, unspoken desires, the sense of longing—all this was mirrored in his gaze, together with reflections of your own.
It's as if the walls of the room started closing in on you and the air became such that it was electric. You continued dancing, each movement more sensuous and premeditated than the previous one, propelled by something churning up inside you that needed to work out feelings that you just couldn't put into words yet. His eyes followed every sway and turn, ravenous, darkening with hunger. ANALYSIS.
And the music faltered, and that final note hung suspended in the air like a whispered secret. You stood breathing hard and flushed, chest heaving up and down with the exertion and the intensity of your emotions. Then, slowly, he rose from that chair, his gaze never leaving yours. There was a timeless moment, one of serene, breathlessly loud silence.
Then, with a single, fluid motion, he crossed that distance. His hands found you: one at the small of your back, the other cupping your cheek. The touch was gentle, almost reverent, but in his eyes there was fire belied by the tenderness of his grip.
Before you could possibly react, he brought his lips down to a kiss in such a way that utterly took your breath away. It was not a soft, tentative kiss, but more of the hungry, desperate kind; full of passion that had been building for such a long time. Your hands eventually reached his shoulders, where they locked in the perfect position as you kissed him with equal fervour.
His lips moved on yours, hot and insistent, his tongue plunging into your mouth. You opened further and let him in, and he explored your mouth with a thoroughness that left you light-headed. So heady, so fresh, with a tang of something uniquely Wangji. You answered with the same thoroughness, your tongues battling for the deepest, most passionate kiss with each dip.
The world outside ceased to exist. There was only Wangji—his hands at your waist, one arm tight around your shoulders, holding you closer, his body against yours, his mouth claiming yours with a fierce possessiveness. You could feel the warmth of him. Even now you could feel the muscles of his back tightly bunched as he reined himself in.
Your hands slipped over his back, feeling the muscles play under his robes. Every contact was a fresh spark of desire that rocketed inside, raising the flames even higher with each passing second. You two breathed almost roughly, gasping for air but not letting go off the kiss.
The press of his body blended against yours, while the hard-on of his desire was hard and urgent on your belly. Wangji's hands moved: one slid up, tangling within your hair, tilting your head back to increase the kiss; the other skimmed down to your hip, holding you firmly against him.
You whimpered into his mouth, the sound being swallowed by his kiss. In your soul echoed that same need that had been echoing in his, a craving since that first day he had stepped into your life. His kisses grew more insistent, more demanding as his lips trailed down to your jaw, moving across to your neck, leaving a trail of fire behind.
Just as his mouth descended again to yours, you heard the familiar, distinct noise of footsteps. Wangji went rigid, pulling away, his breath ragged. In his eyes now, you could see the struggle—the need to be in control of himself, of this, was locked in a fight with the desire to keep going.
"Zewu-Jun is coming," he whispered huskily, passion still barely leashed within him.
You nodded back, breathing just as incoherently as your torturer. You both had been disheveled; when he pulled back, his lips were swollen, tingling, and the kiss had deepened in its ferocity. When Wangji pulled back, you could see the effort it took for him to regain his composure.
The door opened to Jingshi and Zewu-Jun ground his way in, his serene features belay any suggestion of knowing precisely that which he interrupted.
"Wangji there's something I have to talk to you about," he said as smooth as always.
Wangji nodded his head, his eyes flicking across your shoulderblade for a second too long before he turned around with his brother. "Of course, Zewu-Jun," he replied; the inflection within his voice was surprisingly flat.
You dressed very much in a hurry and tried to be cold and indifferent, though unsuccessfully; you could not help the sensation of warmth, reminding you mercilessly of the passion that flared up between you two. Hardly had Zewu-Jun opened his mouth when your heart was already in your hands, and you excused yourself by walking away.
The Fifth Ruler As you returned to your own rooms, you paced back and forth with a thousand different thoughts whirling around inside your head. That had been the most impulsive, intense, and somehow, unsatisfying kiss you had ever experienced.
Your hand traveled to your lips, the effect of Wangji's mouth upon yours clearly felt, though he had long gone. Just the memory of his hands on your body, his breath mingling with yours, was enough to make your knees give way.

It was an uncommonly chilly night; the moon seemed to hang so very low, almost within a touching distance; it glittered with silvery light, charm issuing forth that would usually bring peace and serenity. But tonight it ceased to—turns and turns of juniors returned from a night hunt, battered and bruised. You had been tending to them for hours, making sure that their hurts were cleaned and treated properly. The injuries ranged from bad lacerations to some to sprained ankles and one boy poisoned by a particularly nasty beast.
The minor had made your hands work some ten hours on your days off at the hospital. Your hands knew what to do almost automatically, for years of practice. Though the fatigue had stayed inside you, you had given every single junior that same anonymous kind of care, and the same kind of really listening to the comfort words, as you worked. The juniors felt so grateful; it was in their eyes, their trust. It was these kinds of moments that reminded you why you loved being a healer.
"Thank you, milady," the junior pipe spoke up, his voice a little weak. "We wouldn't know what we'd do without you."
You gave him a gentle smile back and a reassuring pat on the arm. "Just rest. You'll be all right soon."
With the last of your juniors finally asleep, you packed your belongings together and slipped from their chambers. Walking back to your own quarters felt both too long and silent, the chill in the night air sinking through every part of your body like pins and needles. You were so tired it seemed like every muscle was sore from working so hard. All you wanted was to crawl into that bed, to just let yourself get lost in sleep's warmth and comfort.
Wangji was sitting before the window, not plucking his guqin. His face looked indecipherable as he continued to look out into the dark night. The silence in the room felt more oppressive than ever. Some kind of mood hung low in the air; it was anger.
"Wangji," you spoke softly, trying to read his mind. "I am sorry that I am late. The juniors needed my help."
He slowly turned to face you, and all of a sudden, his eyes were intense and dark. You felt the anger boiling within; it took you by surprise. You hardly had much chance to react before he was on his feet, taking a few long strides across the room silently.
"Wangji?" you repeated, hearing your voice shake slightly. "What? What's wrong?"
He said nothing, but instead he grabbed your wrist and pulled you toward the bed. The sudden actions got him your heart racing; every thought in your mind was about confusion with a touch of fear. He pinned you down on that bed space, bracketing your head between his hands, his body hovering over yours.
"How could you?" he rasped.
Blinking up at him, you were completely puzzled. "How could I do that?"
"Not a damn thing," he spat, his eyes blazing. "You were a part of me, meant to be here with me— not out there."
It was as though he had slapped you in the face with his very words. You had never seen him like this before, so infuriated with anger. "But the juniors needed me," you tried to make out with a shaky voice. "They were these really minor things, but they were hurt. I just couldn't leave them."
"Do you have any idea how much I wanted you here?" he says. "How much I needed you?"
JUST THEN BEFORE you could answer, his lips crashed to yours in a hot, demanding kiss. Nothing gentle in that—it was hot, his mouth insistent, forcing his tongue past your lips in attempts to claim every corner of your mouth. A raw, desperate hunger swirled inside the kiss, leaving you breathless and dizzy.
You pushed at his chest, but he wasn't going to move. Fingers burrowed into your hair, holding you, as he went on consuming your mouth. Wildness—that's what you'd call his kiss. Wildness and desperation, born of a deep, unfulfilled need.
"Wangji," you gasped as he finally pushed away, his breath hot against your lips. "Please, I don't understand."
His eyes darkened to the color of the storm, his breath still coming in harsh, uneven gasps. "Don't you get it?" he repeated, his tone biting. "I love you. I've loved you since day one. And yet, you keep holding yourself away."
And you sat there, mute, the confession leaving you winded and your mind reeling. Somehow you have to have known that he actually kind of cared about you; there was a bond between you two, but you'd never actually even thought it could be this much. "Wangji," you began, voice shaking. "I didn't know…"
"Of course you didn't," he snapped one more time, his anger flaring anew. "You're too busy caring for everyone else that you don't see what's right in front of you." The words cut deep—a little stinging truth you didn't care to admit. So much into your responsibilities—into carrying out your duties—yet down below, you'd forgotten, not realized, that such a mistake to continue was the most important thing to nurture now: your relationship with Wangji.
"I'm sorry," you whispered, tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. "I never meant to hurt you."
His expression softened; the anger in his eyes gave way for deep, aching sorrow. "I know," he said quietly. "It doesn't change that I need you, that I need you here, beside me."
He kissed her again, though with only the slightest gentler manner. His lips brushed away with hers, his tongue twining with hers in an exploration that ached her heart. It was such a pleading kiss, desperate at best, just for you to see him, just to understand that he needed you.
You kissed him back; your hands moved to his shoulders as you pulled him closer. You'd kissed him with all the emotion pent up inside—that of your regret, longing, emerging love for him. You wanted him to feel what you had never managed to say.
And it wasn't until he finally pulled back, brow resting achingly against the top of yours, breath mingling with yours in the nighttime quiet that he got a word in edgewise. "I'm sorry—" he whispered, voice raw with emotion, "I didn't mean to scare you."
You shook your head; your hands, soft against his cheeks, mouthed, "It's okay. I needed to hear it. I needed to understand."
Wangji's eyes were pleading as they searched yours, and the anger and frustration left in the last broken shards began to melt, replaced by something ten times deeper: tenderness. He lightly brushed away a stray tear that had escaped down your cheek with his thumb. The touch was as soft as a whisper.
"Come," he murmured, his voice still thick with emotion. "You need rest."
He now turned towards you, his arms reaching out, to surround your body. That touched gesture loosened all those things coiled inside you, gradually feeling the heat of his body. He held you close, you could lay your head against his chest, to listen to the steady, thumping rhythm of his heartbeat, peaceful, bringing you in and out of presence.
Wangji's arms tightened around you, his lips pressing a soft kiss to the top of your head. "I've missed this," he confessed in a whisper. "Holding you, knowing you're here with me."
A small smile tugged at your lips. "I've missed it too," you replied, your voice barely above a whisper.
The room was quiet now, save for the sounds of your slow breaths that seemed to be conjoined, as both of you relaxed. He drew idle patterns on your back with his fingers, each spreading some wave of perturbation. The emotional storm of the evening had seemed to pass, leaving vague peace and understanding.
"Thanks for being patient with me," you mumbled, finally having the urge to end the silence. "I know I can be a handful at times."
Almost imperceptibly, Wangji's grip on you tightened, his breath gusting warm currents through your hair. "There are times you are not difficult," he refuted finally. "You are kind and selfless. I look up to that side of you. I just… I need you to remember that I'm here too. That I need you just as much as you need me."
You nodded, feeling a welter of love and thankfulness swell inside your heart. "Very well, then. I'll try, I'll really try to do right," you said, with all sincerity current in your tone.
He kissed the top of your head again, lips lingering there for a bit. "That's all I ask."
You both lie idle in silence for some time, the weight of the night's revelations pressing down into the comfortable stillness. His breathing deepened and grew rhythmic as the midnight progressed, and you could feel yourself drifting further toward sleep, the warmth of his embrace lulling you into calm.
Tumblr media
From the day you became his wife, you have referred to him either as HanGuang-Jun or Lan Wangji, but never once as Lan Zhan. Thus, every time you says those titles with such respect and love, some soft corner in Lan Wangji prays that one day you will call him by his birth name, for Lan Zhan bears not only familial association but also the closeness which he wishes to share with you.
It is a quiet evening in the Cloud Recesses when the event that drums up Wangji's jealousy occurs. Zewu-Jun Lan Xichen has come by to see you on some business—some older brother so dear to Wangji. You meet him warmly, your eyes shining bright with deference for the sect leader who has always been kind to you.
"Lan Xichen," you say, using Zewu-Jun's courtesy name as you converse. Wangji feels a pang of jealousy beside you. Zewu-Jun notices the tension in Wangji's posture, the slight tightening around his eyes.
"Ah, forgive me, HanGuang-Jun," Zewu-Jun says, addressing Wangji with a knowing smile. "I hope I'm not intruding. It's just that I've always wondered…"
He turns to you, his expression soft. "Would you mind, just once, calling me Lan Huan? It would mean much to me."
You cast your eyes over to Wangji, noticing a faint air of discomfort in his manner. But you smile graciously anyway. "Of course, Lan Huan," you agree, your voice softly polite.
Wangji feels a twist of jealousy mixed with admiration at the grace with which you handle the situation. He is well aware that you hold both tradition and seniority in deep regard, and so have never called him Lan Zhan as he occasionally requests, yet now, looking at you calling Zewu-Jun by his birth name, wonders if you will ever feel comfortable enough to do the same for him.
Later that night, as you are preparing for bed in the stillness of your chambers, Wangji sits beside you. His expression is thoughtful, his fingers tracing patterns on the fabric of his robes.
"May I ask you something, {Y/n}?" he begins with a low murmur that somehow manages to fill the space between you.
You turn to him, your eyes meeting his affectionately. "Of course, Wangji."
He looks silent for a moment, aggregating what he wants to say. "You called Zewu-Jun by his birth name tonight," he says again, his tone still cautious so as not to be too accusatory. "Yet, you still called me HanGuang-Jun, or Lan Wangji."
You tilt your head just a little; his words weigh heavily. "Yes, I did," you answer softly. "It felt right in the moment, considering his request."
Wangji nods. His gaze drops down to his hands in his lap. "I have asked you before to call me Lan Zhan," he says, voice barely above a whisper.
You reach out a hand and place it on his arm, very gently. "Wangji, it's not that I don't want to," you assure him, your voice serious. "It is out of respect, for tradition and the roles that we hold."
He looks up at you, his eyes finding your own in search of understanding. "I see," he murmurs, his thumb brushing over the back of your hand. "But sometimes, I wish. I wish to hear you say my name as I long to say yours."
You meet the intensity of Lan Wangji's gaze, his plea for understanding that much closer to your soul. Much as he had, with a pained expression, wished to hear his name from your lips, you are held by tradition and the roles you share.
"Wangji," you start off gently, your tone filled with affection. "I understand your desire, but calling you by your birth name…"
Just before you could finish the sentence, Wangji's expression changed. His eyes clouded with longing and frustration together. He remained silent, standing up suddenly, the sudden gesture of his hand clutching yours as he followed him out of your chambers.
He walks you through the silent halls of the Cloud Recesses until you enter the library pavilion. Inside, Wangji closes the door behind you, the soft click echoing loud in the silence.
Wangji gently but firmly pins you to the shelves with his hands on either side of your head. His eyes bore into yours, seeking out any flash of resistance or hesitation.
"Wangji," you begin, soft and uncertain in your tone.
But before you can say more, his lips come crashing down onto yours in a ravenous, passionate kiss. The intensity of his desire catches you off guard, and for a moment you're lost to the heat of his embrace.
He kissed you with such passion, his hands moving up to cup your face, thumb gently caressing your cheek. Each caress and stroke seemed to communicate how much pent-up longing he'd had and how much he felt for you.
It is only when the sound of approaching footsteps reached your ears that Wangji reluctantly pulls away. His breath is heavy; his forehead leans against yours as he struggled to catch his breath.
"Wangji." you breathe out softly.
He raises his head, his gaze falling on yours with an intense, unblinking stare. "From now on," he says, his voice so low and infiltrated with possession, "any time you call me by my courtesy name or title name will mean punishment for you."
You feel the jolt in your heart at his words, clueless to what he is driving at.
His lips curve into a small, determined smile. "With a kiss," he specifies, his tone allowing no room for argument.
You blink, trying to process his declaration. "But."
"No buts," he interrupts softly but firmly. "Either you call me by my birth name, Lan Zhan, or you will receive my kisses as punishment."
He leans in again, his lips brushing lightly against yours, a silent promise of what's to come if you don't comply.
And as promised, from that day onwards, every time your tongue slips and you call him HanGuang-Jun or Lan Wangji in formal and casual situations, Wangji makes good on his promise. The kisses are a punishment—a sweet, lingering consequence that has you gasping and begging for more.
Be it in the privacy of your chambers, in the middle of formal meetings, amidst the curious gazes of juniors, or the knowing smiles of elders, Wangji claims his right to your lips with a passion that speaks of his love and possessiveness.

The atmosphere in the grand hall of the Cloud Recesses was hushed and formal, intense discussions between sect leaders and their disciples.
You were seated beside Lan Wangji, who sat at the head of the table, maintaining his usual poise as all manner of things were debated. You found yourself drawn into the conversation, piping up to support one of Wangji's proposals.
""I think HanGuang-Jun's idea is rather cautious," you said, and your voice resounded across the room.
The statement hung a little while in the air. A look from every person was on you at that time. Wangji's lips quirked a bit; his eyes gleamed with amusement as he looked at you. Feeling that silent current, he stood, gracefulness personified, from his seat and walked towards you.
"{Y/n}," he said softly, his gaze tender yet firm as he leaned in. A really very brief, chaste kiss he placed upon your lips—a subtle reminder to you and for the people surrounding you marking the intimacy which held you together.
"Lan Zhan," he whispered low, returning to sit.

The gardens of Gusu were serene, tinged by the weak tones of twilight. Both you and Lan Wangji strolled along wandering paths with the fragrance of flowers in bloom hanging in the air. You had been deeply engaged in discussing medicinal herbs with him, but then, mistakenly, you addressed him by his courtesy name. "Lan Wangji, have you looked at these new herbs?" you exclaimed with great curiosity.
Wangji paused, his steps faltering for a moment as he regarded you with a soft smile. His hand reached out to touch lightly at yours, a gesture of understanding and affection that was silent.
"Next time," he said, low-voiced, his gaze warm as he leaned in to press a kiss against your cheek. "Call me Lan Zhan."

Amidst the lantern-lit festivities of a sect celebration, you and Lan Wangji mingled among fellow cultivators, exchanging pleasantries and enjoying the lively atmosphere. Caught up in the joyous mood, you turned to Wangji with a grateful smile.
"Thank you for bringing me here, HanGuang-Jun," you said warmly.
His hand found yours amidst the crowd, guiding you gently away to a quieter corner where the lanterns cast a gentle glow. Wangji's eyes softened as he looked at you, his voice soft yet firm.
"Here," he murmured, his breath brushing against your ear, "call me Lan Zhan."

Alone in the tranquil seclusion of your own quarters at the Cloud Recesses, you and Lan Wangji enjoyed a precious bit of downtime from your busy schedules. Still speaking with one another, you teased him lightly about the almost unyielding appearance his face often took.
"HanGuang-Jun, aren't you very silent today? " you said, your expression a playful one, your eyes laughing.
Wangji's corrected expression softened a little, and a decanted amusement flickered in his eyes as he closed the gap between you. His hand gently lifted up your chin, the touch tender but a firm hold that would keep you from looking away.
"Perhaps," he said softly, his voice like a gentle murmur, "I'm waiting to hear you say my name properly."
He dipped his lips to yours, the kiss speaking of a bond deepening between them. His lips, in the hushed tones of your chambers, spoke silent words of their own—a promise of love that defied expression by word.

The crisp morning air filled the training grounds of the Cloud Recesses as you and Lan Wangji engaged in a sparring session.
Sweat glistened on your skin as you exchanged swift movements and practiced strikes, fully immersed in the intensity of your training.
"Watch out, HanGuang-Jun!" you called out.
Wangji's movements paused briefly at your words, a flicker of amusement crossing his features before he swiftly closed the gap between you. With practiced skill, he gently pinned you down, his gaze meeting yours with such intensity.
"You need more focus," he remarked quietly. "Call me Lan Zhan."

Proposal - Nie Huaisang
Tumblr media
Pairing: Nie Huaisang x f!reader
Word Count: 1669 words
Warnings/tags: none i think, the events leading up to the wedding, fluff
Notes: (C/N)-your clan's name, (Y/N)-your name
A/N: I planned this to be a one-shot but I got carried away, so the actual action *wink wink* will happen in the next chapter.
I did some completely unnecessary research for this (my adhd ass basically got distracted) but nothing specific. My cultural knowledge is from the show so I'm sorry for any possible mistakes regarding culture. This is my first time writing The Untamed. Also English is not my first language.
Part 2
You met Nie Huaisang at one of the cultivation meetings Jin Guangyao held in Carp Tower. You were a member of one of the smaller clans, so you didn't attend such gatherings in general. That one time your older brother insisted for you to come, as there were some issues to be discussed which might need your expertise as a healer.
During the many battles of the Sunshot Campaign, you actively participated in the healing of wounded soldiers, so many members from the bigger clans also knew you. So it was no wonder they were all pleasantly surprised to see you there at the meeting. After the greetings and toasts you were free to mingle, and almost everyone greeted you with a pleasant smile and grateful eyes. You also greeted them politely, asking about their family and health.
After a while you noticed that Zewu-jun were looking at you, wanting to invite you over to where he was standing with his brother Lan Wangji, Jin Guangyao and another finely dressed young man. As you walked over Lianfang-zun excused himself to greet the other guests. You turned to the remaining three men with a smile, and they bowed to you in return.
"(C/N)(Y/N). It's so nice to see you. What brings you here?" Lan Xichen asked with a small smile on his lips.
"Apparently, Lianfang-zun requires my help with something. And I took the chance to reunite with old acquaintances."
Lan Wangji stared at you in his usual way, not showing any of his emotions. You also wanted to ask what brought him here, but with a curt nod to you and his brother he also excused himself. Finally, you turned to the man now standing next to Lan Xichen. You had an attention to detail, so only a quick glance was enough for you to notice his handsome face and elegant clothing however, you didn't remember meeting him before.
"It's nice to meet you, Master...," you trailed off somewhat nervously as you didn't know how to address him.
He appeared lost in thought for a moment as he seemed to ever so slightly jump at your words. Still, he quickly schooled his expression into a calm and dignified look, but you could still see his nervousness underneath.
"I am Nie Huaisang. Pleased to meet you Lady (C/N)," he said as he bowed to you again, holding his fan in his hands.
As you realized your previous mistake, you were quick to return his bow.
"Ahh, please excuse my rudeness Clan Leader Nie."
He didn't seem offended at all as he glanced at you with a small smile, which appeared to be sad to you. You knew the story of his ascension to clan leader, after all his brother's death was still a widely discussed topic between cultivators. You also heard the various mean stories about Nie Huaisang himself, in which cultivators often referred to him as the Head Shaker or Good-For-Nothing. Stealing another glance at the man, he didn't seem quite as incompetent to you as these stories described him. He might not carry a sword and appear generally nervous, but you could also see the intelligence in his eyes. Right when you wanted to ask him about the situation in Qinghe, your brother called out to you to return to your tables. You exchanged bows with the two men again and returned to where your clan was sitting. However, you didn't seem to think about anything else that day but the handsome and mysterious Clan Leader Nie.
In the upcoming weeks you had the chance to meet with Nie Huaisang many more times, at political meetings and at night hunts too. You were not one to attend often, but as time went by you became more and more interested in the leader of the Nie Clan. As far as men go, he was the first one with whom you could always stir up meaningful conversations about various topics, not just politics or war. As someone who were always interested in music and arts, you found it exceptionally refreshing to listen to him talk about his passions, especially painting and his favourite fans. Looking at him, it always made you happy to see him quite relaxed during your conversations. After a while he even became bolder and started to show you his beautiful smile and laugh and you had to realize, that you, at the same time, started to fall in love with him.
Your brother always had a watchful eye on you two and he always let you know when he thought you spent enough time in the company of the clan leader. You understood his reasoning of course, so you always rejoined your family after a short conversation with Nie Huaisang.
After a few such meetings though, you started receiving gifts from him. At first you didn't know from whom they came from, but one time a messenger, who delivered some letters to your brother, handed you a neatly packaged hand-painted folding fan. It was the most beautiful thing you have ever seen, and you instantly knew who it was from. As you carefully traced the intricately painted lines on the fan with your fingertips your heart was beating so hard you felt it might jump out of your chest at any moment.
The next week your brother informed you that Clan Leader Nie requested a lunch with him and that you should also attend. Despite his reputation, everyone in your home made sure the preparation for the lunch were going smoothly. Everyone seemed excited to host such a high-ranking cultivator in your home. To say that you were nervous when the day finally arrived was an understatement. Actually, you thought you were never this nervous before.
During the lunch you were actually becoming calmer until your brother finally steered the conversation toward the actual meaning of the whole thing.
"Clan Leader Nie, may I ask the reason of your visit?" Your brother inquired after you exhausted all the general conversation topics.
Nie Huaisang seemed rather nervous too during the whole lunch, but looking at him now you were worried he might actually faint. Good thing you are a healer, you thought. For a few moments he sat there completely silent and almost motionless. Only his hands fiddling with his closed fan revealed his emotions. He looked up at your brother and opened his fan to hide behind it. The longer he spoke the quicker his hand moved the elegant accessory, and it seemed his face got redder by the minute.
"Clan Leader (C/N), as you probably noticed, we became quite well-acquainted with your sister. I would like to believe we became rather close even in the past few weeks. And you didn't seem opposed by my advances either. What I mean by all this is that...," he trailed off, even his ears were bright red by now. He appeared to be steeling himself for his next words. Finally he reluctantly lowered his fan and looked at you with frightened but hopeful eyes. God, you just wanted to hug him at that moment. But you couldn't, so you mustered your most encouraging smile and nodded at him. You were certain your cheeks were also red at that point. Nie Huaisang looked straight into your brother's eyes and said:
"I would like to ask for your permission to take your sister as my wife."
When he finally said it, it seemed like a huge stone was lifted off of his shoulders. His posture became more relaxed, but the fan opened again, only at his chest though, not covering his face. Now it was your turn to nervously glance at your brother. His face didn't show anger or disgust, only deep contemplation, which was a good sign, you thought.
"Clan Leader Nie, I am honored you think so highly of my sister. I have to say however, your bad reputation is not something I can ignore..."
"Gege!" You exclaimed, looking at your brother shocked and scared. Thinking back, you never thought your brother believed all those mean rumors about Nie Huaisang because he was just as good at reading people as you were.
"Meimei, let me finish," your brother said not even looking at you, a slight warning in his voice.
"Clan Leader Nie, as you said, I never opposed your relations with my sister. You seem to me an honorable man, and you never behaved inappropriately around her. But you have to understand, my sister's future depends on me. That's why I brought up your reputation. They say you are incompetent, but that's not what I see. I think you are very good at this whole political game. All I ask of you is to take care of my sister and don't let her reputation be ruined."
As he finished speaking you instantly turned to Nie Huaisang, who seemed to freeze, only his eyes turned impossibly big. His mind probably stuck to the same thought as yours, because that meant your brother actually agreed, right?
With his next sentence, he confirmed your suspicions: "I accept your proposal. If my sister agrees, she is yours."
You could only nod your head furiously as Nie Huaisang stood up and bowed deeply to your brother in thanks.
"Clan Leader (C/N), I assure you, your sister's happiness will always be my top priority. I will take care of her until my last day," Nie Huaisang said, his voice shaky.
As he straightened up, you could see his eyes glistening with unshed tears and you couldn't hold yourself back anymore. You basically jumped up, walked around the table and grabbed his shaking hands.
"I would love to be yours, Nie Huaisang," you said squeezing his hands.
He looked at you with that self-assured half smile you loved so much, and which he showed so rarely these days, but it always signaled some kind of mischief.
You didn't notice your brother looking at you two with a fond look on his face.
To be continued

Hello🤗 I love your writings❤️ can I request a fluffy smut about Lan Wangji x female reader where they had a fight over Lan Xichen(as Lan Wangji was jealous & possessive of her). After the fight, angrily, reader went the forest without informing anyone and Lan Wangji gets deeply concerned for her. He searches for her everywhere and in the forest, reader gets into some trouble but Lan Zhan saves her in time. In anger, reader said some hurtful words something like, "why are you here? I'm nothing to you, you shouldn't save me etc" and he becomes so angry on the fact that she doesn't understand his feelings for her and how much he loves her and protective of her, so he takes her to a nearby cave and makes love to her and also confess his feelings for her. This makes reader so happy and they continue their love making session throughout the night forgetting that everyone is waiting for them back in Cloud Recesses. In the morning, when they come back from the forest, everyone teases them but their reactions are quite different. Reader gets shy and embarrassed while Lan Wangji is happy and relaxed. Also, the reader is tiny heightwise(only 160cms) so their height difference is remarkable and kinda cute. Lan Wangji's body covers the reader's body entirely whenever he gets on top on her😍 Thank you in advance❤️
A/n: Thank you anon for the request, I enjoyed writing it! Its 🔞 so MDI ⚠️⚠️🔞‼️
Lan Wangji x Reader: Mine
Tumblr media
Summary: Lan Wangji is a jealous and possessive man, wbk. But he has no way to express that. (This occurs in a different au and they are all adults, around 17).
_____________________________________
"Thank you for your assistance in the class Ln Guniya, everyone speaks so highly of your musical skills, but I got to see it for myself and I can say it's really inspiring. You don't miss a note and play all the sharp one exactly the way they are supposed to be." Zewu Jun and you were walking through the corridors of Cloud Recess, after you helped him take a musical lesson for the instrument using cultivation students. He was now walking you to your quarter. "Zewu Jun is just very kind," you said, smiling.
What you didn't notice was Lan Wangji walking by another parallel corridor, who was headed towards you two and heard two juniors discussing "Zewu Jun and Ln Guniya look so good together" one said. "Look at the way they smile at each other, what a cute pair". Wangji gritted his teeth as his palm tightened around Bichen.
"Zewu Jun, Shifu is calling you urgently," Wangji said. "Well, I was walking Ln Guniya back to her chambers-" Zewu Jun tried to speak, but was interrupted by Wangji "I'll do it" he said. A look at Wangji made you blush, you couldn't help but ogle as he spoke, his perfectly well carved face, his broad shoulders, his hair tied perfectly with his forehead ribbon. You were so lost you didn't notice when they were done talking and only realised when he had already walked away.
"Let's go" Wangji said calmly and walked away, in long strides, it was only when he noticed your struggle to keep up that he slowed down. "Wangji Xiong, did you get you read that book I gave you the last time I came?" You asked as you matched pace. "Mn" he said, "I heard you enjoy reading poems, so I got that one for you" you said smiling to be able to spend time with him. But, he didn't reply, you found it strange and stopped. Generally, Lan Zhan tries his best to always converse with you by saying a word or two here and there, especially when you two speak about books. Suddenly a thought hits you. "Wangji Xiong?" You called and followed behind him again but he didn't stop, "Oi, Wangji"you called again and he didn't stop. "Lan Zhan!" You finally called him and he stopped. You mentally thanked the heavens that there was nobody around. He looked straight at you and you asked "Are you angry with me?". "Mn" he said, turning to restart walking, now it's your turn to get angry so you do the best thought that comes to your mind, you use your brother's binding talisman and catch his left wrist, stopping him in his tracks. "Lan Wangji, you can't just say Mn and walk away. That's not how things work, why are you even angry? I arrived yesterday and was in a class with Zewu Jun the whole morning" you said. "Reason" he simply said, "What? Because I was with Zenu Jun?" You repeated and he looked away and said "Mn" he responded. "You're really testing my patience here. Wangji, why would you be angry because I was with Zewu Jun, he is your brother" he said. "Can't stay close to Zewu Jun" he said, and it seriously frustrated you. Why would he say that? He has never reacted to your romantical advances. He always retracted his hand if you placed yours even a little close to his, he has never invited you to meals or even tea, he never even sits beside you during meals, he has made it clear that he isn't romantically interested in you so why? It's not like you were hitting on Zewu Jun. "You really frustrate me Lan Wangji" you said and walked away.
"How can he be so insensitive like this?'' You spoke to yourself as you paraded inside the room. "Uh" you said, finally being done and feeling suffocated and left your room, walking start towards the forest shortcut you found the last time you came that led to a lake just outside the periphery of Cloud Recess, it wasn't that far, but you could easily return before curfew. You made the walk for it, you reached the lake and took off your shoes and dipped your feet in the water, you lied back down to watch the pretty sky. The cold water was relaxing after the whole day.
What you underestimated was your fatigue and before you realised you dozed off to sleep and how quick warm afternoons in Gusu can change to cold evenings.

Inside Cloud Recess
"Zewu Jun! Zewu Jun! Ln Guniya is not in her room, when I went to call her for dinner, her pipa was left in her room. We searched around the premises, she wasn't here".. as soon as Zewu Jun and Wangji heard, they stood up. "Never late" Wangji informed Zewu Jun "something must have happened" Zewu Jun said and summoned some disciples to immediately go look for you.
"Brother, I'll go" Wangji said and went off, he quickly asked your attendant to bring your Pipa. He got out a tracking talisman and used it in the Pipa.
_____________________________________
When you opened your eyes, you sat straight up, you legs were numb from the water that was now freezing cold. "Gods!" You exclaimed, as you had to physically pull your legs out. You tried to get up but could not, your legs needed time. Suddenly you heard some weird sounds from a close by bush. When you looked you noticed motion, that looked like 3 walking corpses. You were done for, you can't run because you have hills on two sides and the now closed protective walls of Cloud Recess and the only exit was were they are arriving from. You looked around and realised you didn't even bring you pipa when you left your chamber.
Is this how you'll die? You won't even be able to see Wangji one last time before you pass! Would it hurt? Will you vecome one of them? You hoped Wangji killed you before you hurt someone else or-
Your chain of thoughts was interrupted by a sharp sound. A sound you've heard so many times when you joined Wangji and your brother on Night Hunts. A wisp of white came flying and stood between you and the walking corpses. One more strike of the guqin and they were down dead (well, more dead than they previously were)
"Are you okay?" Wangji looked at you on the ground and pulled you up. You felt glad to see him for a moment, only to remember what he'd down back then. You removed your hand from his and went off on him. "Why are you here? It's not like you care about me? Why are you here?! And why did you sav-" you were yet again interrupted by more sounds of grunts and you both look to see the 3 corpses up again and 3 more arriving. "No time, poisonous corpse" Wangji said and in one fast move he literally swept you off your feet and picked you up bridal style and ran. You tried to resist but none of that effected Wangji. He entered a cave with you in his arms and placed you down on the cave ground. He then put a few protective talisman, to guard the gate.
"I refuse to stay here a minute with you" you said and stood up. In a blink of your eye Wangji was infront you and he pushed you aginst the cold wall of the cave towering infront of your short shape, you craned your neck to look at him.
"Zha- Lah-Lan Zhan! What are you doing?" You asked.
Wangji looked at you and you felt like you'd melt right then and there. "Show Y/n my love" he said and crashed his lips onto yours. This was a foreign feeling to you. The way he devoured your lips and you reciprocated felt like sparks. You felt a fire in the pits of your stomach or below. He asked you "trust me?" Looking deep into your eyes, and all you could do was shake your head. He slowly slid your outer robe and you did the same for him. Slowly all the layers came off, you found yourself tracing his chest with your hands, it was more toned that you imagined.
As the layers were now off, he slowly sat down on the cave floor and pulled you on his lap. You loved how your small body fit with his. "So pretty" he said as he kissed your neck and sucked on the skin, making you moan. "Mine" he said before he went further south but holding you up by your ass. "Lan Zhan~" you moaned as his mouth took your hard nipple into his mouth. If there was heaven on earth, it was here right now for you. He slowly laid you down and climbed on top of you, covering your whole body with his. He looked at you for permission, which you granted and his hands reached your wet core. His touch felt like fire, he slowly reached down and drew circles around you clit, making you moan his name harder.
He slowly inserted one of his slender fingers inside you and started pumping making your mind dizzy. Then he added one more finger and by then you were panting, a knot was forming inside your belly that tightened and tightened and as soon as he added the third finger and pumped a few times. The knot came undone, your toes curled and you bit his shoulder, making him moan. "Ready?" He asked and you nodded, "i need more" you said panting, "make me yours" you told him. And he lowered and inserted himself inside you slowly pushing little by little. You felt his hard member throbbing inside you. You felt whole, invincible and on cloud nine. Lan Zhan grunted as he thrust inside you slowly to let you adjust. He kept picking pace, "yes Lan Zhan, yes" you said encouraging him and he increased his speed, hitting in the right spot that made you eyes roll back.
You moaned his name louder, "I'm close" you whimpered. "Together" Lan Zhan said looking into your eyes, you pulled him closer and kissed him. "Now" he said and you let go the two of you moaned and grunted as Lan Zhan rode you through your high.
The two of you lied beside each other and suddenly you said "didn't we do a taboo?! Lan Zhan did you break rules?!" You whisper yelled. "Not in Cloud Recess" he said asuring you. "Still be did a taboo" you said, but he just wrapped his arms around you and said "mine". "Why were you behaving that way then?" You finally asked the question that has been lirking on your mind. "Y/n was with Zewu Jun, Juniors said you both looked good" he said pouting. You wanted to squish his cheeks "Was Lan Zhan jealous?" You asked, only to get a "Mn" in response that melted your heart. "I'm yours, I can't be or even think about anyone else" you said.
Wangji suddenly turned and started kissing you hugrily, but you pushed him away and strandled him and started kissing him. He pulled you on his lap and this time made you ride him until the two of you came and lied down with you on top of him, in his arms and the two of you fell asleep. Tiredness took over you as you both found comfort in each other.

Inside Cloud Recess
"First Ln Guniya was missing now even Wangji is mossing with her" Zewu Jun said pacing around, he hoped Wangji atleast found you before any harm could happen to either of you. That was when they saw Wangji riding in on Bichen with Y/n on his back. You attendants rushed to you as soon as they sae you. You explained how you went for a walk and then fell asleep and how later Wangji saved you. Wangji told them how you two had to spend the night in a cave as the Corpse were poisonous.
"I'm happy you both are safe, please refrain from going on walks around the gate closing time. Even for two people who are supposed to be bethrowed, they shouldn't spend nights together before wedlock" Zewu Jun said.
"Bethrowed?" You repeated. "Yes, you and Wangji are to be bethrowed soon, I proposed the offer and your brother said you accept" he said and you just nodded and said "sorry I'm just tired" and thus Zewu Jun asked you to go rest. You turned to your attendants and said "He was serious about that question. I thought when Wuxian asked about the marriage, he was joking! I'll kill that-" you were interrupted yet again by the love of your life, who came to back hug you one last time before you both part. Before releasing you he mumbled one word into you ears, "MINE".

Requested by anonymous: Heyoooo! So I'll try the children's reader 😊 headcanons Zewu Jun, Lianfang Zun and a trio from Yi City started caring for a homeless child?
Pairing: Untamed boys x child!reader
Tumblr media
Lan Xichen:
Tumblr media
he's in a town when he finds you
the juniors were walking through the market, smiling from ear to ear when they passed the stalls
Xichen just trailed behind them, a soft smile on his own face
until he noticed something
rather someone
you were a small child, your frame thin and covered in dirt and your hair long and unkept
he pauses, looking around to find a possible parent or guardian
when unable to find one, he approaches you carefully
he's careful to not spook you and kneels down to show that he means no harm, holding out his hand
you looked scared, but also curious as you took a small step back
Xichen could see the wheels in your head turning, knowing full well that you were weighing your options
you choose to take his hand
and Xichen felt shivers up his spine as he realized how thin you actually were
your hand felt thin, almost like it just bones
the first he does is get some food, more specifically some bread
not too much, just enough to make sure that your stomach would stop growling
"eat slowly"
you nodded as you grabbed the bread from the man's hands, slowly munching on the treat
Xichen took the chance to ask your age
you held up seven fingers
and Xichen feels bad again
because you definitely didn't look seven
rather four or five years old thanks to your small frame
when he asks you about your parents, he watches as your expression drops
before tears start running down your face
he comforts you before explaining that he lost his parents too
he doesn't know if it helps, but you push yourself against him while crying in his robes
he doesn't care for the looks of others as he carries you into the inn and to his room
you're fast asleep already
he takes you to Gusu Lan
although some don't agree to just bring in a child that had no known origin, Xichen is always quick to refute them by listing off the rules
"help those in need if possible"
the first thing he does is clean you up
he makes sure that the dirt is scrubbed off your body, your wounds are cleaned and your hair is back to normal
(he assumes it to be normal anyway, he doesn't know if it is healthy or not since he doesn't know the last time that you washed your hair)
when you're fully clean, he dries and dresses you
the robes are slightly too big, but it was just for now
you're asleep by the time he gets back to his room
laying on his bed, curled up in the pillow
Xichen just covers you with a blanket before making his own make-shift bed on the ground
when he wakes up the next day, you are curled up against his side
he can't help but hug you softly, watching as you just cuddled closer to him
he didn't know where you came from or who you exactly were, but he'd take care of you
Jin Guangyao:
Tumblr media
he found you when he was kicked out of the brothel
you were two, maybe three years old
left behind
normally, he wouldn't care
but he saw himself in you
left behind to rot by your parents
he basically adopts you as his younger sister
takes care of you, even if it means that he has no food for the evening
surprisingly, he really does care for you
in his own way, of course
when you get older, he is quick to teach you some useful skills
lying, manipulating, stealing, etc.
he's also quick to teach you to only use it on others, not on him
you're a quick learner, using your age as an advantage to get what you wanted
Guangyao feels proud as he saw what you could achieve on your own
be sure that you get roped into his own plans for the future
but all that aside, he is really attached to you
he is often by your side, no matter where you go
and he makes sure that you are accepted by others
but with his own reputation, this is rather difficult
you don't seem to care, you're a loner at this point
so he focuses on his plan instead of you
but every night, he'd come back to take care of you
he'd make sure you would be safe until the end of his plans
he didn't mind risking others, but you were not just someone
you were his sister and he'd die for you
Yi City Trio:
Tumblr media
it had been the three of them for awhile now
nobody else was around while they stayed in Yi City
until one day, someone was dragged into the city
courtesy of Xue Yang
how did you get there?
once again, thanks to Xue Yang
he had found you during a walk around the market
you were laid down on the ground, thin form covered in dirt
your hands were bleeding, scrapes and cuts littering your skin
and you were unconscious
he watched as a man lifted you before carelessly tossing you aside to clear the road
he watched carefully, waiting for anyone to help you
but no one did
he inched closer with care, almost like a lion stalking its prey
when close enough, he softly pushed your form with his foot
you don't stir, so he assumes your dead
then he notices that you're breathing
and for some reason, he can't seem to walk away
so he throws you over his shoulder before setting off
weirdly enough, no one actually stops him from doing so
when he gets back, he approaches Xingchen before laying you down
"Help them."
Xingchen is kind enough to follow the request
Xue Yang is a bit surprised once again with how easily Xingchen does this task while being blind
A-Qing notices you later and her eyes widen slightly in shock
she's not that good at acting like she's blind, or at least Xue Yang thinks so
surprisingly, she lowers herself and gently raised her hand to your head
you wake up in a few hours
when you do it is quite a sight to behold
your head is laid in someone's lap, when you look up you spot a woman who is asleep
raising yourself up from her lap, you noticed two men
one dressed in white and one in black
the latter one was clearly asleep, head thrown back against an empty wagon
the one in white was not asleep
not that you could really tell thanks to the cloth on his eyes
it was only due to the fact that he was slowly pacing
you didn't mean to startle him as you spoke, but he did flinch slightly before relaxing
he turns around, face turned in your direction as he nodded for you to continue
when asked by where you were, he was quick to give you an answer
and when you asked if you could stay with them, he was just as quick to tell you yes
you basically are a family from that point on
a happy family of four
you just hoped this wouldn't change...

Good for dà gē
lan xichen/ lan huan x gn! reader
A/N . Forgive any spelling mistakes, its too late for my brain to spill out alphabets in their correct order. Pls revive this dead tag.
CW: lxc being called ge-ge by reader, suggestive
word count: 584
-------------------------- - ☁ ☁ ☁ ☁ -------------------------------
"Zewu-jun~". The words leave your lips as a pressing sigh echoes throughout the Hanshi's walls; his plush lips are warm and firm and steady as they crash against yours. A sturdy forearm pins itself perpendicularly to your fanned out hair on the silky sheets and Lan Xichen tactfully towers his sculpted figure over your smaller one.
The early dawn light that filters through the craved windows, casting an intricate shadow against his delicate, jade-like features. You wrap your arms around his neck and pull him closer, deepening the kiss. An abrupt bite on your delicate lips earns him a quick yelp followed by a dramatic whine on your part.
"L-Lan Xichen!" you whimper pathetically, tugging on his slender forehead ribbon. Long locks of ebony spill out of his usual hairdo as the ribbon loosens and becomes undone in your palms. They caress the angular edges of his face perfectly, and you think that he somehow looks even more handsome like this. It was as if the strands were hand-woven by the heavens for you to admire, his slender lips crafted to caress yours, and his safe arms to embrace your frail frame.
The atypically stoic man doesn't respond to the courtesy name and instead, his honeyed eyes simply darken with lust. Pulling away from the kiss, his heated mouth asserts itself above the corner of your lip before pressing a trail of open mouthed kisses along your jaw. Jolts of pain and pleasure wash over you as his canine teeth tug and nibble on your supple skin.
"A-Huan~". Once again, the hopeless mewls fall on to deaf ears. In a pitiful attempt to muffle the moans that threatened to spill, you scrunch the Gusu Lan forehead ribbon in your palm and thrust the fabric into your mouth.
Pinning your arms above your head, Lan Xichen sweetly squeezes your jaw open and extracts the sopping cloth. Clutching both your wrists, he expertly wraps the damp ribbon around them twice before firmly securing them in place with a harsh knot, and then, an elegant bow. Immediately, he continues to push against the soft surface of the bed as he shifts his assault on your neck. Crimson marks begin to adorn your lithe neck as his animalistic urges persist along the length of your nape. Shifting his lips to a new target, his scorching breath fans against to the untouched skin just above your collar and it becomes increasingly more difficult for you to keep your voice down.
"L-Lan G-gē gē," you stutter as you bite your lower lip in shame as those humiliating words leave your reddened lips.
"Yes my love?" he asks tenderly in contrast to the mildly obscene term, his warm breath against your ear ensuing a valley of goosebumps to erupt along your body.
"P-please s-stop teasing me," you plead in a drunken state, your whiny voice not even a fraction as convincing as you had intended it on being. You were a pitiful sight. The red marks littered throughout your slender neck were staring to bruise a deep purple. The deep rouge flush that bloomed from your checks swiftly spread across your features, from the tips of your ears to right under your collarbone. You, with your petite wrists tethered under his toned, looming build.
"Shushhh," he hushes dismissively with newfound amusement, and you can feel the corners of his slender lips on your earlobe curve upwards at your helpless request.
"Be good for dà gē and keep your voice down alright?"

P O I S O N - ZEWU JUN x READER
request: The reader and Lan xichen meet at a fancy banquet and the reader gets poisoned. At first she just doesn't feel to good but then it gets worse and Lan xichen is super worried. She almost dies but he takes care of her and saves her
TW: POISONING, NEAR DEATH, extremly ooc xichen
Tumblr media
As most cultivators knew by now and were gathered at Koi Tower to celebrate the first full birthday of the little heir to the Lanling Jin sect, all of the town was filled with people from everywhere. It was bustling.
Your small clan had been invited as well and since your parents were busy handling your new born baby brother Zizhen you attented as the oldest child from the Baling Ouyang Clan and entered the Koi Tower a few minutes ago, just a little after you had arrived you were greeted by Jin Guangyao. You returned the gesture of bowing respectfully and thanking him for the invitation you had received as well as apologized for your parents absence due to your little brother being born.
The gap between you and your brother was about twenty three years, quite a lot but your parents had birthed you rather young, so it was no big deal. You were excited to have one more family member and a plus point was that you had a little brother by your side now.
Moving along into the hall, you spotted the familiar blue and white attire of the Gusu Lan sect. Immediately your features seemed to be even brighter as you approached Lan Xichen. "Zewu Jun. --- Pleased to meet you here. How have you been these days? "
You had met him several times before, either through lectures or other meetings and occassions where you had crossed paths. It always delighted you to meet him and be able to exchange a few words with him. " Greetings, Lady Y/N. I've been quite alright. I shall hope you had nothing to worry about either." Xichen spoke in his usual quiet and refined tone and you nodded with a smile. "Yes, I've been fine. My brother was born a couple days ago. -- It will be very lively for the next few years in Baling. " You answered him with the news of your brother coming to walk this planet. "Congratulations. He will be a happy and strong boy with an older sister like yourself by his side. --- " A rose colored blush graced your cheeks before you smiled. "Thank you, Zewu Jun. I will let him know you think this way. My parents will be joyful to hear such words of blessing for Zizhen."
Soon the dinner would commence and lots of guest were talking and enjoying the festivities including yourself during the night, cheeks adorned by the blushing heat of the wine that did give you a little to much warmth. You told yourself you'd drink no more as you felt rather dizzy from what you were given. It was so unusual since you were not a lightweight, you could hold your liquor but something about this red firewater was setting you off. Perhaps it was just stronger as you expected it to be though it did leave a bitter taste on your tongue.
Excusing yourself you went outside, you needed air and to cool down a little. Clenching your eyes together to get a better vision was one thing you did as you stood up and started walking towards the doors, however, the room did not stop spinning and you felt incredibly nauseaous when your heart started racing like crazy. Holding onto the door frame for security got you no where.
Lan Xichen had joined a few cultivators outside for a talk when he noticed your struggling figure at the entrance. He did not think much of it before you in fact threw up a massive amount of blood unbeknownst to yourself for you had blacked out the moment you fell to the ground. "Ouyang Y/N!" Zewu Jun hurried over to you, feeling your pulse. It was weak, barely tangible. Crimson colored blood ran down you lips and nose, your already dark red colored robes were sweat drenched. None other than Jin Guangyao rushed to Xichen's side wondering what happened. "She has been poisoned. If we are not quick to find the culprit and the antidote, it might bring terrible consequences."
Zewu Jun requested Meng Yao's help to send out people to find out who poisoned the young lady of Baling. What nobody knew was this seemed to be an assasination attempt on Jin Guangyao which had been failed as your wine had been switched by an unknown servant and was served to you instead of Meng Yao.
It was only a matter of time before the perpetrator either escaped or was caught. You were given into the care of the doctor of Lanling which was instructed to give updates on your health as each of the cultivators present and the apprentices of the Jin clan were sent in search of the assassin. Even Lan Xichen was involved. He knew you didn't have much time and you needed the antidote before the sun rose high in the sky to survive or it would be too late for you.
Hour after hour passed as your health and sign of life disappeared within you and the closer they got to find the culprit. He was disguised as an errand boy inside the clan of Lanling when being searched they had found someone fighting back. Everybody was doing their best to get the antidote or Jin Rulan's name would be tainted by the death of an accquired clan members death. They could possibly not let that happen.
Meanwhile you were losing strength to hold onto live, you did no longer react to the doctor calling your name, your unconsiousness dragging you deeper and deeper into the dark void of nothingness. However, your subconcious could make something out just a little, a liquid was running down your lips and every bit inside tingled by a slight burning sensation. It wasn't too strong of a pain, but it was bearable. What once felt like you had been turned to mush inside now felt like it was burning and restoring itself. What in god's name had happened? What is happening and why were you coughing all of a sudden.
Bright light blinded you when you opened your eyes, your head bumping tremendously , a stinging pain as you sat up, the song of clarity being played in the far corner of the room you were resting. As your dark orbits adjusted to the sunlight you were surprised to see Zewu Jun who sat and played the melody. You watched quietly taking a deep breath as the calming effect took over you. Eventually, you got up and quietly walked over, steps still a bit wobbly as you did so. "Zewu Jun. "
Your voice was dry and it matched your even dryer mouth. His eyes met yours as he came to a quiet and soft stop of playing the guqin. "You are finally awake. Let me pour you some tea. " He spoke in his usual quiet and calming voice. " How long have I been out? -- The celebrations were yesterday, am I right? " All you remembered was that you had maybe drank a bit to much wine, and went outside, but that was it. "Lady Y/N, you have been resting for three days. Do you not remember what happened? "
You were slightly confused because you did not quite understand what he was saying. You shook your head and took the tea he offered you with a small smile. "Thank you. --"
After a brief explanation of the events of the past five days you starred at him blankly. You had been poisoned, which had been an assasination attempt on Jin Guangyao but the maid ended up serving the poisened wine to you on accident and basically Jin Guangyao was the one who had recovered the antidote while Zewu Jun had fed it to you and played the Song of Clarity for your quick recovery. Lips were parted as you tried to speak but no words came out. How? That was the question, how did you end up getting caught up in an assasination attempt on Jin Guangyao.
"I believe I owe you very sincere thanks. " Quietly you stood up and bowed to Lan Xichen, who had stayed two days and three nights playing the clarity song for you. "The Baling Ouyang clan is deeply indepted to you, Zewu Jun. --- You have our undisputed loyalty for as long as the Ouyang Clan exists. I myself am indebted to you as well. " Lan Xichen's reputation was much more than that and you knew how humble he was but you did not bent. You were sincere in the fact that he had safed your live.
"There is no need to bow. " His hands touched your elbows and brought you up. " Instead rest well for another two days before you go home. " He insisted. You nodded and did as he spoke.
From that day on, you had sworn yourself as a sister to Zewu Jun for saving your life and he greatly accepted your offer.

catching stars - mdzs character hcs
the sect leaders as fathers *insert jazz hands*
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Lan Xichen
this man has the makings of a father,
he’d be quite disciplined with the children, because of his background and everything
after all the strictness and reminding that he does for his child
is purely always out of love
whether that means not allowing them to stay out too late (the rowdy age (13, 14,) that even you have a hard time wrangling the kids in)
to teaching them about orderliness
to even giving them (mild) punishments for when they’re misbehaving
Lan Xichen doesn’t believe in special treatment,
even if they are his kids, he will still dish out whatever the punishment is if it is what is deserved
and with a little of your blood and his running in their veins, your kids are quite the troublemakers at times
Lan Xichen deals with his children’s (sometimes yours) antics, graciously
it’s particularly fun whenever he catches them in the middle of their prank
like one time
when you and your children had teamed up together
to prank Wangji (as he was coming back to Gusu after a year or so living with his husband adventuring)
and the group of you, thought it would be no better way to welcome him back then with a prank (a light one)
besides, you think Wangji would quite enjoy it, if the 20 bunnies that you and the children put in his room are anything to go by
however, your plans are foiled when Xichen catches you, red (or should I say white handed) holding a baby bunny just as you’re stepping out of the Jingshi
“aha, A-Huan,” you try to say
only for your youngest to come running out behind you with a big smile and telling their father,
“daddy! come help us bring more bunnies!”
and for once
just this once
you get Xichen’s cooperation
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Nie Mingjue
i feel like he’d like to have kids but being ‘fatherly’ was something else entirely
Mingjue knew how to lead
but when placing that in family dynamic
it was a little different
it wasn’t as easy as orders
and rules with simple strictness
because his kids, of all people, would probably be a little more on the chaotic (rowdy) side aha
and they’re not soldiers, they’re children, so what does he expect?
besides, Mingjue has more lingering questions on what it means to be a good parent,
how to be a good parent
after you have your first child,
you guys talk about that a lot during the nights when the baby is finally asleep in the cradle,
and although Mingjue is a little scared of this responsibility, this purpose, that his life now has
he is able to navigate the questions of it better after talking to you
you both don’t know what a good parent is
you just know what you want a good parent to be
so you do your best
and Mingjue is someone you don’t worry about, not much
besides the very first time he’d tried to hold the baby and nearly dropped it in surprise
but Mingjue will be a good father,
from the strong and protective way he stands and shields his kids from any strange faces
to the gentle, but firm hand that he overlaps with your children during practices
to the small dimpled smile he may have when your middle son does the sword drills correctly, or your daughter finally learning how to sword fly
you watch him through all of it
and Mingjue is a good father,
you never doubted it
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Jiang Cheng
his mother’s teaching style is embedded within in him, since the distance between his own father and his upbringing is quite large
however,
i still feel like Jiang Cheng
will develop the deepest soft spot
for his children
Jiang Cheng is a man that loves a lot, more than he can verbalize
so him being a father
would be a good outlet for him
he’d be caring for his children in small inconspicuous ways that they’ll probably only realize when they’re matured and caring for their own kids
for now,
whenever he nags them to eat all the vegetables on their plates,
reminds them (along side you) of manners and greetings whenever they’re out to big conferences and parties
to other small things
they whine
and complain to you about him always being on their backs
but
when you catch Jiang Cheng, tucking in your sleepy children after a long night of sect leader duties,
see the way that he is so gentle, so soft with their blankets and pats their heads
you hope that your children will understand
how much they are loved
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Meng Yao
perhaps if he got the chance to actually live well and be happy
i think Meng Yao would be a good father,
the type of father to smile, fully, the most, when their eyes land on their child, boy or girl
i think he would also have quite a soft spot
of singing them to sleep
after your third child together,
with all the running around that two kids already do
you both are basically taking turns with the kids constantly
so you don’t really get quiet moments to just, look at one another
which is why
when you come back into the main bed chambers (after tucking your 10 year old and 7 year old into bed)
you are able to catch a beautiful sight
Meng Yao holds your youngest one, nearing a year,  in his arms
as he walks back and forth in the room,
he hums a little tune
and even though Meng Yao’s shoulders are heavy with many other duties
and titles
and work
you are grateful and happy that he finds solace in your little family together

Hellooo! May can I request a Yandere scenario for Lan Xichen, Nie Mingjue, and Jin Guangyao with a fem partner that one day explotes and confronts them for capturing and putting on rules in their life? How they will deal with that? Thank you so much!
Hi anon! I am trying a new format and also, I didn’t save the last one so this is re-written.. Capturing is maybe too much so rules is enough of a burden. Unless you want to face 4,028 rules of the Gusu Lan sect ( added by Zewu-Jun ) Here’s to your request!
( yandere husband AU )
☆*: .。. .。.:*☆ Rules of the husband   ☆*: .。. .。.:*☆
Tumblr media
☆*: .。. .。.:*☆ Lan Xichen ☆*: .。. .。.:*☆ :
Tumblr media
You sigh at your husband’s childish antics..
“A-huan, this is almost twice as long the list of the Lan rules...”
You glance at the big scroll your husband is holding in his hands
“Rules are rules love. And the 4,020th rule states : ‘No body shall touch, hug, or interact with the Sect leader’s wife unless it is important or urgent sect matters.’ This is the new rule implanted on the wall.”
You resist the urge to roll your eyes but you fold your arms instead.
“I can’t do anything can I?” You say to him
“You can do lots of things my love! Like read, play with the children, embroidery, cook, bake, and more! You are very talented.”
He sets down the scroll and holds your hand
“A-Huan that’s not what I meant..” You look outside at the magnolia tree
“There are so many rules and regulations to follow-”
He cuts you off with a gentle kiss
“I’m sorry my love, you should be able to interact atleast.. I’m sorry I was too harsh. Just don’t fall for anyone else but me.” He says to you
You giggle and happy you won ( because he is too damn soft for you )
☆*: .。. .。.:*☆ Jin Guangyao  ☆*: .。. .。.:*☆
Tumblr media
He personally dislikes rules.
But when it comes to you, well.. That’s a different story.
“A-Yao, why so many rules?” You ask
He wrote 20 dang rules with long sentences...
“Because I love you.” He gives you a soft smile
“This is almost torture..” You hold out the list reaching your feet
Wait.. What the hell is this..
“husband... What kind of a rule is : ‘Stay away from my wife or else you will lose your limbs.’? Don’t tell me your gonna kill them, I swear if you do..”
“Don’t worry a-Y/N! I will just break their limbs!” He says to you
“Oh my, JIN GUANGYAO! NO BODY SHALL BREAK ANYBODYS LIMBS!”
You turn around only to feel arms wrapped around you.
“No shouting a-Y/N.” He rests his chin on your shoulder and you both enjoy the silence until...
“Sect leader! There is 5 corpses in the storage room! What should we do?!” A servant barges in
“Wait outside for further instruction please.” You say and you scold your husband when the servant has gone.
☆*: .。. .。.:*☆ Nie Mingjue ☆*: .。. .。.:*☆
Tumblr media
Literally only gives you 5 rules to follow. ( thank you for less suffering )
Personally I think Nie Mingjue is soft on you and mean to those around you.
“Mingjue, what is this?” You drag him to a training ground with 24 corpses with fresh wounds and blood.
“Uh..” He looks away from you
“Mingjue, this is the 3rd time!” You scold him
( honestly I don’t know what to do here anymore when it comes to ‘Big buff kinda tsundere guy x reader’ stuff so OOC here okay? )
“And so?” He says to you finally turning his head to meet your eyes
“As your wife I ask of you to stop killing these poor men! They just practiced with me to increase my cultivation!”
“You fell and they didn’t catch you!” He points at the new instructor he hired to teach you only to be killed after 2 lessons ( fly high mister )
You slap your forehead with your hand ( Of course what was I thinking? What are you going to use to slap yourself? Your foot? Just kidding! )
“What will I do with you..”

Hi hello Can I request pregnancy hcs for Nie Mingjue, Nie Huaisang, and Jin Guangyao? 🥺
Hello, dearie ❤️ Your request has been granted~ I hope you enjoy the fluffalicious headcanons.
P.S. I am just LOVING the fact y'all are asking for NHS. He deserves the world. And gosh, seeing reqs for JGY and NMJ warms my heart.
Nie Mingjue
Have you ever seen a boulder cry? No? Well now you have. The moment he learns you are pregnant, with HIS child, a child symbolising the strong love you have for each other, he'd go deadly soft. No, he wouldn't necessarily cry, but if you squinted you'd notice how his eyes would turn slightly glossy.
For once his constant scowl will actually disappear and he'd look (and feel) genuinely happy.
At first, he'd stay silent, thinking over what you'd just told him, before lifting you up gently (as gently as Mr.Muscle can) and giving you a big hug. Then he'd let go of you, straighten up and resume his previous resting scowl.
"I will do my best to be a good father."
Truthfully, most of the cultivation world didn't think he could even actually keep a lover around for long, much less go as far as to start a family, so news of a little Nie heir would come as quite literally - a shock. Suddenly, the entire world's eyes would be on you, much to Nie Mingjue's displeasure. Because of that, he'd become MUCH more protective of you. The world can be cruel, people can be cruel and life can be unfair, so he'd make sure absolutely nothing can hurt you.
Before he learned you are pregnant, he was already pretty gentle with you, but after telling him - he doubles on the care. He'd randomly come check up on you through out the day under the pretence of having to ask you about your opinion on "very serious matters at hand".
He'd also double on the meditiation sessions, trying to best his anger for the sake of your well-being. In fact, as secretly nervous as he is about the whole situation, somehow the very thought of you and your future child would bring peace to his heart. Though that is something Zewu-jun would conveniently forget mentioning to him. Alas, he'd suddenly remember once the two sat down for a cup of tea.
Nie Mingjue would secretly hope he could teach his child about the art of war and have actual proper sparring sessions, which he couldn't have with his brother. He would occasionally imagine, telling him stories of their ancestors, choosing their saber, showing them all of the Nie traditions and so on and so forth.
He'd also vow not to let his child turn into another Huaisang. (although knowing how complacent Nie Mingjue can be when it comes to his loved ones, spoiling this kid ROTTEN wouldn't be too far from the realm of possibilities.) Frankly, as long as his child can grow up to take good care of themself and the sect, he'd be content either way.
And above all, he'd be thankful, that he ended up with a family made on the foundations of mutual understanding and respect, and a child on the way, which is a symbol of true love.
Nie Huaisang
Denial.
Confusion.
Acceptance.
Does he absolutely love you to death? No questions asked. But the news of a child would catch him completely unprepared, which is fairly uncommon for the all-seeing mastermind that is Nie Huaisang.
Suddenly, saber practice and tests at Gusu seemed like a breeze. That isn't to say he wouldn't be happy, or glad, or proud - believe me, he'd be ELATED. It's just- is he ready to be a father? Is he ready to raise a child? Is he ready to be a ...role-model? Create a legacy?!
"But- I'm trash. What if I can't take care of this child? What if I fail at raising it? What if I'm a dead-beat dad? What if I die suddenly? What if war starts? What if the child doesn't like me? OH MY GOD WHAT IF THE CHILD DOESN'T LI-"
Please save him from his own self-doubt, he's more worried than Wei Wuxian and his self-worth equals that of a washing sponge. In reality, Nie Huaisang is so used to being underestimated, considered a mere spoiled prince, that the determination and unconditional love in your eyes would take him aback. Even more so, the trust you have in him, especially for raising a child, would leave him speechless.
And then would come the realization of the situation - he will be a father. And he will start a family with the love of his life, successfully continuing the Nie lineage. He'd be well-aware of the humongous responsibility that comes with raising a child and after taking a breather, he'd be more that ready to take on the world. And god forbid anybody dares say anything about his family.
After that whole fiasco, things would actually die down. Nie Huaisang is no idiot. The more obnoxious he is, the more unwanted attention he'd bring about. He'd be pretty casual with his care, often just lying with you, making blind guesses about the baby.
Sometimes, just to get a reaction, he'd ask like a spoiled child "are we close now" "are you there yet" and so on and so forth, generally aiming at making you laugh.
He has already made up his mind - once the child is born and is given a name, he'd paint it on the finest wooden fan imaginable. In FACT, getting to teach said child how to paint would his little not-so-secret dream.
As long as you're healthy, Nie Huaisang would more more than content with this turn of events. In fact, he'd be so proud to have you by his side.
Deep down he'd be totally soft and utterly emotional over the fact that he'll be a father, but those are emotions saved for later stages of your life together. (wait till you actually give birth)
Jin Guangyao
Imagine the sweetest, fondest stare in the history of stares ever. That is what you'll first see, once you inform Jin Guangyao of your pregnancy.
"What truly joyful news, my love."
He may be many things, many things indeed, but he isn't unattentive. You are his wife, his lover, the mother of his child and he would take great responsibility for that. He'd take care of you more than ever before, though he's always been extremely considerate.
Any darkness or intent of murder in his heart would dissipate once he sees you, and tripple should anybody so much as look at you the wrong way. After all, he has enough experience in the art of murder to know how to get around.
Living in a brothel with his mother showed him how harsh the world and society can be, so he'd vow to himself to give you and your child the life you deserve. Remembering everything his own father, if you could call him that, had or hadn't done for him, he has been given a good example of what not to do. He's promised to himself to be a good, loving father, who'd raise his child right. Simply he'd want his child to grow up without having to worry about surviving.
He'd fall utterly in love with this child before it is even born. He'd be constantly talking to your stomach, stroking if gently, leaving sweet kisses along your skin. That of course would only happen behind closed doors, yet the more your belly would grow, the more you'd get to spend time with Jin Guangyao.
While he wouldn't make a big deal out of your pregnancy, he wouldn't really hide it either. Lan Xichen, of course, would be first fo know, so he'd quickly come to give the two of you his blessings. Slowly news of the future heir would travel, so Jin Guanguao's overly cautious behavior would double. You'd still be allowed to go outside, of course, he is no monster, (his words, not mine) but he'd require you to go down town only when accompanied by him, or one of your most trusted people. He'd have spies everywhere, all to ensure your well-being.
He'd know almost immediately whenever you'd feel sick or generally uncomfortable because of the baby. And he'd be prepared with natural herbal remedies, massages and a ton of cuddles. Simply, he'd respond to your every beg and call. (I mean- he already does that but shhh)
Despite being, essentially, a criminal mastermind, there is no denying he is intelligent, resourceful, diligent and a good leader, in the core of it. Now, to that list can be added a good husband and a great father. After all, he'd want his child, no matter the gender, to be treated with respect and given all of the love it would require - what he always wanted, yet never received.
Thank you for reading~

You turned around hugging his head and shoulders with your shorter hands " I'll miss you too carrot !"
" Don't! Your makeup will be ruined!" Yanli told you before you could set a tear along with your brother .
From the other corner of the room you heard another sob and it was no other's but Lan Xichen's.
" Why don't I have a code name too? Am I not your brother ? Shame on you guys! Both of you are getting married and I'm here single and without a code name ! " he sobbed harder this time as all of you started to laugh at his cuteness.
" Don't worry uncle I'm here for you! " said Shizhui as he went hugging his uncle's leg .
"Thank you A-Yuan ! That's a precious person ! Nothing like you 2 punks ! " said the future Clan leader before hugging his niece and sitting up .
" We have a wedding to attend! Hurry up !" Wei wuxian said as he rushed his way through the long hallways of the Cloud recesses.
•—————••—————••—————••————•
You walked down the aisle with one of your brothers next to each one of your sides as they held onto your hands tightly.
You looked up on Xichen as he gave you a reassuring smile.
The lilac see-through satin fabric over your head made it a little harder to see around, but what it couldn't cover were the smiling faces of your clan and his own.
Looking at the end of the hallway you could see your uncle smiling proudly to you and then him .
The man you could sooner than soon claim as yours .
The man you were ready to build a family with,
And the boy you fell in love with years before he became a man .
He is Jiang Chen of Yumeng Sect , the little boy who became one of the greatest leaders .
But most importantly , your Jiang Cheng .
He reached his hand forwards to you once you arrived on the final step , welcoming you with one of his cutest smiles .
You took your place next to him as you bowed your head to your uncle.
The ceremony officially started and after everything important became complete, it was your turn to leave the place you called home for the past 18 years of your life .
He took your hand leading you inside the little ship that would lead you to Yumeng through the canals .
The water was decorated with floating white cherry blossoms the ones that Lan Clan threw in wishing you a safe and joyful life .
You looked back to your brothers and the rest of your family and Clan, waving at you as the boat took you a couple of meters away by each passing second .
"You look beautiful y/n " Jiang Cheng said moving an arm protectively behind your back , making sure there is no danger for you falling inside the water or get scared by the moving vehicle.
"Thank you Master Jiang " you bowed your head down making the fabric slip from its place .
You tried to move and catch it but it fell making you rush to put it back on .
" there is no need for you wearing it y/n I've already seen your pretty face over a thousand of times !" He spoke calmly.
" Sorry ma-" you tried to apologize
" why keeping formal with me my love so suddenly? I'm sure you knew my name years before .. it doesn't makes any difference calling me by it now ." He said a little irritated but still smiled at your cuteness and flushed cheeks .
" I sincerely apologize A-Cheng .. I'm just quite nervous right now .. " you confessed
" why darling is there anything you are afraid about ?" He asked clearly concerned by now .
" well .. to be honest there is a reason I'm acting like that .. I think your mother doesn't like me so much and I'm been awkward around you because of it ... I have no clue of how to act towards you around her . " you spoke each word with doubt, to anxious if your words would affect him negatively as he watched you the whole time closely .
" Y/n you don't have to be afraid of my mother , she indeed likes you pretty much and you were her most preferable choice between the brides that were meant for me .. act around her as you please . Both I and she love your true self so it's no need to hide yourself .. better now?"
" Partly.." you answered
" what's up now little minx ?" He asked full of curiosity.
" Where there other girls you could choose to marry ?" You asked pouting a little.
" definitely yes but to your reassurance .. even if I could marry 1.000 in my life i would just choose you over and over again. There is no other woman with such a spark in her eyes , so charming, so talented, so beautiful. There is no other like you , and I'm a pretty lucky person myself for having you here next to me .. as my wife " he spoke gently, his eyes honest and calm, full of love .
" I love you y/n " he spoke
" I know that " you said , teasing him
" YOU WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO ANSWER LIKE THAT " he whined like a little child
" ok ok my mistake .. I love you too Jiang Cheng ! Happy now?" You asked
" Lots more than happy!!" He said taking your hands in his and kissing your temple.
The sun was disappearing in the horizon as the boats made their way through the full of lotus flower waters .
A book of your life just closed but a new one is already opening before your very eyes .
You are not alone on it this time , you are with someone that will love you a lot more than the meaning of love itself.
Because in this book two things are needed, his paper and your letters, in order to make a story that will be traveling from generation to generation again and again until you reunite through the centuries to make a new , better one .
•—————••—————••—————••—————•
THE END
Ok this cringed the living shit out of me BUT alright I still hope you enjoyed reading this ..

Stay happy and healthy ♡♡♡

Okay okay okay, i have something because I can see that happening. So fem!reader is maybe a two years older disciple at the Lan Clan and is helping out with the new comers for the lecture guiding them around being present during greetings learning from Zewu Jun. And Zizhen seems to noticed her for the first time and is immediately head over heals? Of course we cannot forget the teasing of the rest of the clique amirite?
Okay soo Idk if this is a love triangle so ima do Zizhen x reader TvT tell me if this isn’t what you asked for!
Second part here
☆*: .。. .。.:*☆ Love at First Sight ( Lecture ) ☆*: .。. .。.:*☆
Tumblr media
You weren’t a junior that’s for sure. You were 2 years older than them so they are your shidi ( oh gosh that one part in svss when Shen Qing Qiu said “Shidi?~” Oh gosh help- ). “You have lectures with the juniors, are you sure you can handle it?” Lan Xichen asks you since you were top of your class but he cannot guide you properly. “I will be fine Zewu-jun!” Then he hopped on his sword and you both bid your goodbyes. When you got to the  Lanshi (兰室, Lánshì, lit. Orchid Room) - a classroom. ) It was quite rowdy with assumptions like “I heard Lady Y/N is kind and sweet.” “I heard she was the best student.” Until you began to introduce yourself. “Hi everyone! I will be substituting Zewu-jun while he is away. I suppose you all already know me! So lets get started shall we?” Everyone was mezmerized by your beauty and kind voice! It was comforting and it sounded like a melody. “I know people know the rules so I will be skipping some of it and recite the important ones for the classroom is that alright?” They all nodded and as you begin to recite all of them, most of them were staring at you and how you recite all the rules by memory. “Okay so the lesson for today is..” And as you continue on you notice someone sleeping in the back. “Hm? Who is that sleeping in the back?” Everyone looked at Zizhen and one of them said “He is Ouyang Zizhen miss, he is the heir of the Ouyang clan.” Sizhui told you “Thank you, you may sit down Sizhui.” And you walked up to Zizhen and shook his shoulder “Hey? Wake up Zizhen.” You say softly but enough to wake him up “Mnnn.. 5 more minutes....” You laugh slightly “Zizhen, wake up its there is class.” You continue to shake his shoulder till he finally woke up to you smiling at him “You finally woke up hm?” “S-s-sorry miss Y/N!!” He bowed to you “It’s ok, just copy the rules 2 times after class okay?” You say to him standing up “Yes miss Y/N!” Then you continued on with the lecture but Zizhen couldn’t focus on the lesson but only on how your voice is so soothing and how beautiful you looked, he was head over heels. After the lecture he seeked help from Sizhui and Jingyi “Sizhui! Jingyi! I need help!” He walked up to them after he finished copying the rules. “Why? Need help in the lecture because we know you weren’t listening.” Jingyi smirks at him “Yes and that I think I like our new teacher..” He blushes “How like? Like, as in adore her or Like as in love?” Sizhui asks Zizhen “Like as in love..” Oh shoot its not like its love they both thought. Wei Wuxian somehow heard “Oh hohoho~ so Zizhen likes Lady Y/N??~” Zizhen immediately turns red as a tomato and nods “Want my help?” He asks the 3 “How will you help Wei Qianbei?” Zizhen asks “You’ll see.”

The Rogue Cultivator Part 2 (WWX x Reader x LWJ)
Summary: You’re a rogue cultivator who ran away from her home when they accused you of killing someone. You found yourself in Burial Mounds and accidentally in the Yiling Patriarch’s bed. After Wei Ying’s death, Lan Wangji took you to Gusu. What happens next?
Word count: 2577
Warnings: angst, sad ending
Tumblr media
Lan Wangji sat across from you at the small table, his brown eyes piercing into your (e/c) ones. You wore your own hanfu, the last reminder of your clan as you sat. He was handsome, his delicate features stoic but held no malevolence. It took you a week to recover from your injuries. You were grateful that none of the sects knew anything about you but you were aware that once your brother arrives, you will have to run again until you’re far from civilisation. You didn’t want innocent people getting between you and your brother.
“Tell me” he said patiently. You could tell that he was barely keeping it together. Not that you were any better… yet you had to keep it together because your journey wasn’t ending here.
“I came from Guihai (L/N) shi, my brother, Haishen is the sect leader. He took a young maiden as his wife against her will, taking her away from her wedding when it was already arranged. He simply stated that he has the right as sect leader. He does as he pleases.” you sighed. “I ran away because his wife committed suicide when I was present. My brother accused me of killing her and I ran.”
“How did you meet?” he questioned his eyes boring into you, pressing you to answer. You could feel his coldness and you felt bad.
“I found myself at Burial Mounds after months of wandering… I thought that I could rest there for a while, that it is a place where no one goes to. That’s how he found me. I have no idea why he took me in… I was a stranger but he did. Wen Qing took care of my wounds… and they let me stay. Gave me shelter.” you smiled sadly.
“What was going on between you?” his question had an edge to it, his tone clipping like he was angry. No… he was jealous. You averted your gaze both out of embarrassment and out of guilt. It wasn’t hard for you to notice his feelings for your husband those months ago but this morning was confirmation.
“I became his wife” you replied firmly. You regretted nothing, Wei Ying was nothing but loving and he promised you his heart. He showed you his love on many occasions but there was always a place for Lan Wangji. Yet you never felt jealous… for why or how, you had no idea. You should’ve been jealous but you weren’t.
You lifted your gaze back up to meet Lan Wangji’s hurt expression. It was hard to read him but it was obvious now. He was in pain and you had no idea how to comfort him or if you should. He was at the verge of crying and your heart clenched in pain.
“I regret nothing… but I could never replace you” you reached out for his hand. At the sudden contact his hand twitched but your firm grip on his slender fingers kept him from pulling away. “He always loved you even when he was with me. I could never replace you, Hanguang-Jun.”
You sat there patiently, holding his hand, watching his handsome face show his emotions. He was beautiful, you couldn’t blame Wei Wuxian falling for him. You knew you wouldn’t be far behind if you let yourself. Wei Ying often talked about their time together at Gusu. He told you about every mischief he made, how Lan Zhan scolded him. Your favourite tale was when Lan Wangji got drunk. It must’ve been hilarious.
“I wish I could hate you” he said quietly after a long while. Lan Wangji pulled his hand away from yours and left you alone in a hurricane of white robes. You sighed heavily, tears rolling down your cheeks. You missed Wei Wuxian but you had to be strong. You couldn’t break down.
Later ~
A few hours later when the sun left the peak of the sky you leaned back with your hands on your hips. Your lips in a satisfied smirk. Your small hand made backpack was packed with your remaining things. Your sword was the last thing you needed to buckle on your side before you parted. You looked over the house with a sad and fond smile.
Lan Wangji was more than generous with only just taking you in and healing you. You couldn’t stay and be a nuisance. His coldness was easily noticed by anyone, yet he kept taking care of you and gave you food, even ate with you. Your eyes landed on the letter you left for him. Goodbyes were never your strength.
You hauled the backpack onto your shoulder and left the house quietly. You couldn’t help but admire the scenery. Back at Guihai you only had fortresses with grey stone walls everywhere. It was a labyrinth and meanwhile you found your way through the streets, other people tended to get lost in the city one too many times. You didn’t miss your supposed-to-be home. Once before you would’ve called it your home as a child even with your parents abusing you and your brother belittling you.
“(L/N) guniang” the gentle voice startled you making you jump a little in your place earning a chuckle from the Gusu Lan sect leader. You turned to Lan Xichen and bowed deeply in respect.
“Sect leader” you greeted.
“Where are you going?” he asked as he bobbed his head towards your backpack. You shot him a gentle but sad smile.
“It is time I depart” you started. “I cannot depend on Hanguang-Jun and cannot take advantage of his kindness. I am already in debt for he took care of my wounds and gave me shelter.”
“He took you to Cloud Recesses as his guest, (L/N) guniang” Zewu-Jun gave you a knowing smile. “He would be devastated if you left without him knowing.”
“It is not only because I wish not to overstep my boundaries but because my brother is coming after me and I would not want anyone to get caught in our fights.” you looked away with your heart heavy. You didn’t want anyone to get hurt when your brother would find you. No one deserved to die because of you. You must’ve wronged your family for them to treat you the way they always have done.
“Still… I have to ask you to think of my brother’s feelings… Wei Wuxian’s death took its toll on him” Lan Xichen looked sad for his brother making your heart clench in pain. Maybe there was a way for you to stay… maybe you would be able to be the shoulder Lan Wangji needed. You had no heart to leave him alone in these times. You heard rustling coming from your right side snapping your head to the sounds, you spotted Hanguang-Jun. His eyes widened when he noticed the backpack on your shoulder, his handsome face hardening as he quickly fled the scene.
“Excuse me, Zewu-Jun” you bowed to the older Lan brother before taking off after Lan Wangji calling out to him loudly so he would stop.
Five years later~
Your brother never came. No one knew you which meant rumours never spread about you. Therefore, your brother never found you because you changed your name and became Lady Qin, the wife of Hanguang-Jun. During the years you spent in Gusu, hiding, the two of you grew closer. At first, you had to be patient with Lan Zhan. He was mourning for years in seclusion. No one dared to bother him but you. You took his meals to his quarters, fetched warm water, took him to bed when he was drunk which happened at times and took care of his bunnies. The small rodents grew close to you and you often found yourself in the middle of the bunch of animals ranting about your problems to them.
One night, when you had enough of Lan Wangji moping about, you went out to the bunnies to clear your mind. The moon was full and shined brightly above you, lighting up the path in front of you. Your white robes brushed against the bushes, rustling the leaves as you took step by step. You sat down amongst the bunnies and opened up the basket full of vegetables feeding them carefully.
“I’m worried for Lan Zhan, you know?” you petted one of them with a sad smile. “He’s been mourning Wei Ying since years… I loved him too… more than I thought I could possibly love anyone. His heart was at the right place… and refused to stand in line with the monsters. Those people were kind to me… no one ever were kind to me back at Guihai. They were my family more than my real family ever was.”
You paused giving the bunnies from the large salad. You listened to them munching on it with a smile on your lips. You looked completely different from the way you did before. Your hair grew even longer and you untied the braids you had in it. Those braids once indicated your place in (L/N) clan but now you were nothing to them and they were nothing to you.
“And then… Hanguang-Jun took me in… I have no idea why… but I will always be grateful to him” you chuckled with a sob contorting it. Tears rolled down your cheeks. “He took me in and gave me a shoulder I could lean on when he needed it even more than I did.”
“I took you with me and A-Yuan because I needed you” his voice broke the silence of the night. Your heart skipped a beat as your head snapped up in surprise. You quickly wiped at your cheeks as he came closer. His steps were quiet but you felt him get closer. “You felt like a piece of Wei Ying… I felt like there was a piece of him lingering with you.”
“You hated me, didn’t you?” you chuckled as you kept your eyes on the horizon. You dared not to look at him.
“I did…” he admitted after a long silence. “But I learnt why he fell in love with you.”
“I never knew why he chose me when he could’ve chosen you” you chuckled brokenheartedly. You pulled your legs up so you could rest your chin on your knees, hugging them close to your chest. You didn’t care if it wasn’t appropriate for a lady to sit like that. It was just you and Lan Zhan. Nothing else mattered.
“He didn’t choose, A-(Name)” Lan Wangji sat down next to you as gracefully as a person can. No matter what he was doing, he was like a prince. His voice was gentle even when it sounded lost. “You were there when I couldn’t…”
“Nothing is impossible, Lan Zhan” you smiled as you turned to him. Your heart skipped a beat at the sight. His deep brown eyes bore into you as the moonlight turned his porcelain skin glistening like an ethereal creature’s.
That night was the first step for the two of you to grow closer. Each moment you shared brought you closer until one night, Hanguang-Jun kissed you. The night was dark that time, cold wind was blowing as it was about to turn winter. Lan Zhan asked you to stay with him and you did without a question. He should’ve been to bed already but he couldn’t sleep. You sat on his bedside pouring some calming tea when he kissed you. His lips felt so soft and sweet. Lan Wangji confessed to you his love and you agreed to be his bride.
The winter wedding was beautiful. Lan Qiren was the happiest even if he didn’t let it show. To your request, only few people were invited and those who attended agreed to spread the rumour that you were a young maiden from the village. Odes were singing about how the two of you looked like a god and a goddess. A prince and his princess in white. People expected you to be like Lan Wangji’s mother, to stay secluded in your own house. You had to make them disappointed. You followed Lan Zhan to nighthunts, travelled with him everywhere and when in Gusu, you taught the young female disciplines of cultivation.
Your first-born child conceived on a nighthunt. In Gusu, the two of you had no time for each other, but out there, in the inn, you only had time for each other. Your hand ran down his bare chest as your lips left a mark behind his ear. His slender fingers loosened your robes and the soft fabric fell down your shoulders to pool around your hips as you sat in his lap. You were a mess but Lan Zhan wasn’t far behind. His headband loosened by your hand and it slipped down his forehead.
“I miss him” you breathed against his skin as you rested your head on his chest. The morning sun was shining through the blinds but today was a lazy day.
“Every minute” Hanguang-Jun nodded as he pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
“Thank you” you smiled sadly up at him. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion making you chuckle. “That you’re so good to me.”
“You say that like it is a goodbye” he rumbled as his arm tightened around you. You just shook your head and closed your eyes.
Oh, but it was a goodbye. You always knew that your brother wouldn’t give up. His hatred was too deep to just let you go.
Lan Zhan,
I wish that I could give you more to reciprocate all the happiness you gave me. I wish there were words I could write down that express my gratitude and love for you. You gave me two beautiful children and gave me a third one in Sizhui. You gave me a new life, a new purpose. You saved me more than one way. I know that it is hard but it was time for me to meet my fate.
When you find Wei Ying, tell him that I never ceased to love him. I wish I could be there to greet him, to hold him. And when the time comes, I will be there to greet you. And we will never have to separate again.
With undying love ~
(Name)
Lan Wangji found her letter on his desk one morning. Almost ten years passed since he took her with him from Burial Mounds. Lan Zhan knew that her brother was getting closer and closer. The man even sent a letter to (Name) to warn her. Lan Wangji stood in the middle of the room with the letter hanging from his fingers before it limply fell onto the ground. His heart was broken all over again.
Time skip~
Wei Ying was holding the letter in his hands as tears rolled down his cheeks. His A-(Name) died because Jin Guangyao told her brother where she was and how to find her. Jin Guangyao feared her powers because she was strong and so she had to die. He remembered how bright her smile was, how beautiful she looked in the moonlight. He always wished that the three of them could be together.
Lan Wangji pulled him back into his chest, arms tightening around his waist as he pressed a soft kiss to his bare shoulder.
“We’ll see her again… when the time comes, Wei Ying”

Lie Detector Curse
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous: Hi, I picked up some idea from the foreign stories and came up with an idea for a request: How would Meng Yao, Lan Zhan, Zewu Jun and Wen Ning react to a reader who has something like a ''useful'' curse? Anyone near the reader lies, gets caught, gets hit out of thin air, has colored hair, longer nails, or has a colored aura around them...how would they react to a reader with this curse? Would they appreciate it or take it badly? Thx!
Pairing: Untamed boys x reader
Warnings: none, I think
Tumblr media
Lan Zhan:
Tumblr media
You can see auras of people
which leads to being able to see if they're dangerous or not
and also when someone is truthful or not
Lan Zhan is concerned about this
and honestly, I think he'd take it badly
because he thinks that you sacrificed something to gain such powers
it's not every day that you meet someone that can sense if someone is lying or not by seeing auras
it isn't until you explain that you had been cursed by someone else, that he somehow feels better about your powers
not fine really, because you still got cursed
he doesn't worry about them perse, he never lies
but he surely will ask for your help with some of his work that includes socializing with people
he's not good with people
and they tend to lie to him when he asks questions
and thus you follow
it makes his life much easier
and his journeys significantly shortens in time
so it definitely grows on him after time
just give him awhile
Lan Xichen:
Tumblr media
your hair changes color depending on who you talk to
it depends on emotions
red for anger, blue for sadness, yellow for happiness, green for envy and black for nothing
but when someone lies, it turns to white
Lan Xichen definitely finds it peculiar
he isn't sure what to think
even after an explanation
he's mortified that someone would curse a child, mostly
he, honestly, finds it a bit funny at times
because you can't fully control it
which means that your hair changes at any time
even if you're talking to someone you barely know
and they always tend to run off after
he tries his best to hide his smile
but he's always quick to make sure that you don't take it to heart
he usually doesn't ask for your help regarding your curse/gift
only when it is absolutely necessary
which is often only when you jump in on your own accord
he's one of the four who really wouldn't care much in the end
Meng Yao:
Tumblr media
you're a bit like Wen Ning
your appearance changes and your eyes turn black when someone near you is dangerous or lying
(you change immediately when you see him)
nonetheless, he never really lies to you
he learns that your powers don't take in account when he just leaves certain things out to avoid the actual truth
he finds a way to use your power for his benefit
because it makes his plans easier
he asks questions to people while you hide away
you can later tell him if it was the truth or a lie
he enjoys your powers to the fullest and you know this
hence why you stay by his side
because other people get frightened when they see you
Meng Yao never asks how you got your powers
because he honestly doesn't care
he's not here to be your best friend, he just needs your powers
when you couldn't help him out, he'll discard of you
maybe not, if you're lucky
Wen Ning:
Tumblr media
your powers basically flip a person upside down if they lie
you can control it, you just have to look at the person as they talk
they lie?
they get thrown in the air and hung upside down
it isn't pleasant
you often don't look at people because of it
until you meet Wuxian
who loves it and lies on purpose
through him, you meet Wen Ning
who loves to see another person like him
cursed
he's practically a puppy as he talks to you
if he had a tail, it would be wagging left and right
always smiling near you
doesn't dare to lie, not that he ever would lie to begin with
he gets you more comfortable with eye contact again
soon enough you hold eye contact with everyone again
(Wuxian loves watching as you talk, waiting for someone to flip up again)
Wen Ning is just glad that you can go back to "normal"
at least conversation wise
he'd also make sure that you don't hate your gift
he calls it a gift, even if you don't agree fully
because he feels like it is a part of you and you can't hate yourself

T I L T E D - ZEWU JUN
This is just a small one shot, nothing great. I forgot how hard writing can be. But this in German would be another level of cringe and we don’t do that here. So enjoy this.  Might be lowkey all over the place, it’s been a while since I last wrote something. It's also not proof read, so sorry.
Zewu Jun x Reader | Not requested, small fluff
TW: none
Tumblr media
It was no secret in the cultivation world that you and Lan Xichen of the Lan Clan were courting officially. It has been three years since you've admitted that both of you had feelings for one another.
Since the day Zewu Jun had been betrayed by someone he thought was his confidant, someone he thought he judged fairly and knew all of his thoughts to the day he ended his life in the blink of an eye without a second of hesitation and lack of hope was the day you had stepped into his life for once and all.
Before all that happened, the two of you had met several times before during night hunts, conferences or other feasts that happened. It was undeniable that the two of you had a connection and got along well. It showed as you two could talk for hours on end without growing tired of one topic or playing the guqin while he accompanied you by his flute. It was a once in a life time friendship that soon turned into something more serious after Meng Yao had lost the battle.
It was hard for you to reach him as he decided to go into seclusion yet you tried for him to pull him back, to socialise again. It was far from easy. The grieve for a friend that turned into a foe in less than a few hours. Nevertheless, you did not leave his side. You wrote letters daily. Frequently visited Gusu. You brought the thinks he liked, books, music sheets, you made him play along to your guqin. You asked him to show you things, let him teach you. It was only a matter of time that he realized that you were serious about it, even if you did not directly say anything. It were the small actions you went through for him. It was the small light of hope you brought him that sparked not just his interest in you more but also made him get over his disappointment and anger. Which to be frank, he never shown to anyone. He was reserved, did not let it spark to much to the surface but deep down, he was hiding it.
Of course, you once in a while feared that you'd be to annoying, doing to much but you could never imagine the amount of pain that he must've felt, the betrayal of a close friend and yet here you were trying your best to cheer him up, to give him back at least a little hope. Luckily for you, you never had to experience something like this so you wondered how he must've felt. You could only guess.
With bright features and your usual bordeux colored attire that was just one of the two colors of the Baling Ouyang Clan, you walked through the backhills of Cloud Recesses, waiting for him to find you after all he was a busy man, courting or not.. With a fond smile of the latest memory you had made with Zewu Jun you kept thinking back to that night.
Both of you had been caught in the rain as you walked through the small town near your home. Zewu Jun had let you know that he was passing by and would like to meet you, never missing a chance for interaction. It was only then when the host of the restaurant said that he had to close now that both of you realized how late it had gotten which now got you stuck in the rain as both of you, drenched by the cold drops falling from above soaked your clothing and you found shelter underneath a nearby entrance of a house. The rainfall was rather heavy for spring but that did not mean anything.
It was the silence between the both of you, the rain that hit the streets and stands around you unevenly, the echo in the streets, the cool wind that made you shiver slightly in the dark and the soft smile on his lips which brought a light blush to your cheeks.
" It seems we have lost track of time again. I apologize hereby, Ouyang Y/N. " He spoke quietly but made it seem like he was part of the surrounding quietness. A small laughter was heard. It had escaped your lips. " There is nothing for you to apologize for after all it was me that did not stop talking. Perhaps I must simply learn to not exaggerate my words in excitement when I see a good point to question my counterpart." You indeed always found something to argue about, or to put it in a different light, always making sure each angle of something was changed and another insight that was unbeknownst to the other was seen. It was a bad habit, but one that had brought the two of you closer over the years.
It was only then that you noticed his head band had been slightly lose and tilted. You were not giving it much of a thought as you gently adjusted it, forgetting the Lan Clan rules about their etiquette for just this moment. Yet when your eyes met his, reality did break in and you backed up, eyes wide as you realized your mistake. You were courting, yes, but you were not yet married and you did respect the rules they had set.
" Zewu Jun.. - I.." You stuttered quite still shook from your own actions. What have you been thinking being this irresponsible as to touch his headband. A simple excuse would be to blame the liquor but you did not touch any the whole night. In fact, all you did drink was tea. " I did not mean too.." You picked up your words again, scanning his face for any reaction. Much to your surprise his smile had grown a bit bigger just to pull you in. A strong arm placed around your waist, feeling the warmth he radiated through the soaked clothes of yours which made you relax. It wasn't the first time he had pulled you in like this and you had to lie if you did not admit you liked it. It made you feel safe.
" Do not worry. My significant other is allowed to touch it. Seeing as we are getting married soon, I shall make an exception." He spoke calmly yet the warm smile he had worn since day break had never once left his features for the time being. Leaning in he pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head before the both of you took the chance to quickly get to your home as the rain had stopped.
It was moments like these that made you realize Xichen truly was the only one for you. The only one you ever wanted. The one you'd be with until death do you apart. You'd soon be part of the Lan Clan with the man you loved by your side.
What else could you possibly ask for. He was your friend, your confidant and your soulmate and thus he had your heart in bis hands. He took care of it with all his might and you trusted him fully with it.

Can I get some headcanons with the Lan Bros accidentally making their s/o cry and how they would try and make it up to the reader? I am obsessed with your writings btw they are so cute and well written :)
hi hi~
aw, thank you for your compliments! and yes i definitely can. let’s fluff it up
cheers~
。ₓ ू ₒ ु ˚ ू ₒ ु ₓ。
Lan Xichen
you know that Lan Xichen is busy
constantly head first in work
and always far (much too far) from your shared bedchambers
but you were his cultivation partner
and you had thought that if you had told him a week in advance,
had already gone through the work of making plans with him
that he would show up
but alas, you have stood in the middle of the night market, next to the lantern stand for hours
and you’re realizing your loneliness with each star that begins to twinkle in the sky
“guniang, don’t make such a long face in front of my stall, it’s bad for business!”
one light shoo from the little old lady behind the stall has the tears falling out of your eyes, hours overdue from Lan Xichen’s lateness
even now, you don’t want to admit that his absence might be permanent tonight
“y/n!”
you turn in surprise at the familiar voice that calls your name, your glistening eyes meeting Lan Xichen’s running form as he breaks through the light crowd milling about the pathways
“y/n...” Lan Xichen breathes, worried, guilty, as he takes in the sight of the gentle tears running down your face
you sniffle and wipe your tears  yourself before he has a chance to do so, turning around to feign anger rather than the sadness that you had been feeling just moments before
“you made me wait,” you say,
the pout, Lan Xichen hears well, even when you’ve turned your back to him
there is a quiet pause where you don’t get any response, and you wonder if Lan Xichen really really ditched you
but suddenly, arms wrap around you tightly, holding you
you jump slightly at the contact, but when Lan Xichen leans his head against your temple and his hand finds yours to intertwine your fingers, you relax
“i’m so sorry, how can i ever earn your forgiveness?” Lan XIchen asks earnestly,
and him being here was already more than enough for you to forgive him
but he doesn’t have to know that
you wiggle out of his arms just enough to turn around, still in his warm hold
“buy me food!” you chirp, the tears already drying on your face
Lan Xichen smiles down at you,
“as you wish,”
Lan Wangji
when the tears fall from your eyes, Lan Wangji’s own golden orbs widen in surprise
he hadn’t expected that reaction out of you
not when he had so intricately planned this surprise
not when someone *cough* Wei Wuxian *cough* had said that this would be a great idea
but a second fat tear rolls down your face
and Lan Wangji’s on his feet and over by your side in less than a second
his hands cup your face as his eyes flicker all about,
and his thumb gently rubs at the stray tears that fall
“was it too spicy?” Lan Wangji asks, hushed, a lot embarrassed and a little more than worried
you manage a smile amidst your tears, leaning into his palm as you sniffle
“just a little bit,” you admit, if Lan Wangji couldn’t already tell by the red tint of your cheeks
and your lips
Wei Wuxian had said that anyone from Lotus Pier had an exquisite taste palette
and that the bland food of Gusu Lan would surely turn people away
but Lan Wangji supposes
that when you sit back down on the picnic blanket
and take a big bite out of the plain tofu (the only non spicy dish that he had brought along)
maybe,
maybe you and him have a more similar food palette than he thought
and when your eyes crinkle up at the simple taste of the soy beans
Lan Wangji realizes,
perhaps, you’re already impressed enough by him

lover’s quarrel - nie mingjue hcs
a continuation to nie mingjue’s romantic antics
catch up on the first part here
you don’t quite want to believe that you are being courted,
but
if the bashful way that Sect Leader Nie was holding out the bouquet of flowers to you was anything to go by
you think it’s safe to assume
that you are being properly courted
“we’ve always been...friends, y/n-guiniang” Nie Mingjue starts and you stare a bit mutedly at his awkwardness
because
well,
Nie Mingjue had always been a powerful, formidable, serious and quite godly leader
never one to back down from a challenge,
always with a mind of justice
and hands that wielded the saber better than anyone else
it was so different
a lot enamoring
to watch as this amazing, serious, Sect Leader stumbled over his words to try and say something affection to you,
you tune in and out of his words,
as he’s stuttering so much you don’t really get the gist of what he’s trying to tell you anyways
and if he’s not stuttering then he’s mumbling so you don’t really hear him
but from the gesture and words and the way that he is
you once again make an assumption
and assume
that he is formally starting his courting rituals with you and like letting you know about
“i plan to marry you, y/n-guniang of course...and there’s never been anything else other than you on my mind,”
you blink at him, a little quiet, a lot shocked
“Sect Leader...” you say,
you don’t know what to say,
“i...i like you a lot y/n-guniang and if you could do me the honor of accepting...”
the flowers?
all the other gifts?
me?
Nie Mingjue is struggling and you can see it
you can’t help but smile as he trails off,
and in his quietness, you take the flower bouquet from him
they’re beautiful small blue bells, and honeysuckle
dainty and small like you,
and with a lovely scent,
“i accept,” you say, quietly had always planned to say since the first look that Nie Mingjue shared with you
and you feel even happier to witness the smile that lights up the usually stoic Sect Leader’s face
there is no one else that neither of you pay attention to, let alone see
“ge is so lucky that y/n-guniang is nice, did you hear how much he stuttered?” Nie Huaisang asks behind his open fan, leaning over to Lan Xichen coyly
the Lan Sect Leader can only let out an amused laugh,
his eyes crinke up fondly
as he watches Nie Mingjue take a small step towards you to place a flower in your hair
