It’s a blessing, and a curse, to let someone else besides Bakugo drive the van on the annual bakusqaud road trip. Kirishima and Kaminari were too engrossed in their own conversation, never looking back at you two for long periods of time.

It was early afternoon, but car rides always make you sleepy. You thought curling up in your boyfriend’s lap in the back seat would be cute, peaceful, but no - this fucker couldn’t keep his hands off of you. For a grueling two hours, he was nothing but a tease, grinning like the devil over your squirming whenever he’d touch you. Bakugo played it off at first, gently running his fingers through your hair or rubbing his thumb over your cheekbone lovingly at your drowsy stupor. It was subtle squeezes at first, “brushing” over your chest when he’d lay his hand on your ribs or move to rub your back. Bakugo would inch his fingers to your stomach, quietly shifting to cop a feel and act like nothing happened. When he saw your brows scrunch, he decided to push further, splaying his hand across your chest and teasingly slipping two fingers under the bralette to pinch your nipple, flicking and twisting it between his finger pads. His ego inflated when your legs twitched at his touch, a soft groan falling from your lips. It didn’t take long until he was practically using your tits as stress balls, his insatiable hunger for you taking over.

Bakugo didn’t even realize that Kirishima turned into a gas station to refuel and grab some snacks until the van was parked, too caught up in his game to notice.

“Need anything, bro?” He asks over his shoulder. “Kami and I are grabbing snacks, too.”

Kirishima and Kaminari head into the store while the two of you exit the van and take a lap around the parking lot. That’s when you notice the bathroom on the side of the building, door propped open and no key needed.

Before he can stop you, you’ve got Bakugo by the collar and bolt for it, practically dragging him behind you. He’s yelling something along the lines of “what the fuck, woman?!” until you’re both inside the grimy one person bathroom, slamming the door behind you. You let go of his shirt and shove him into the rusty sink, pouncing on him like an animal.

“You think you can get away with all that, Katsuki?” You growl, emphasizing his name as a warning. “This is a fight you always lose.”

“Someone’s suddenly—” he tries to argue but the words die in his throat when your hand ferociously grips at his cock through his shorts. His face loses composure at the contact, flushing scarlet instantly.

“That’s what I thought.” You pause to bite his neck, pink teeth marks left in your wake. “You started this, babe. You’ve got two minutes, make it count.”

There is so much content in fandom regarding how Spite used to be Determination but I have a hot take here that I have been burning to share, here it is:

Spite is referred to/addressed multiple times as a spirit of determination, and crucially he does not correct this in the game. When Rowan addresses him as "Spirit of Determination" he's PUMPED, when Isabela introduces him in the Hall of Valor it's as "legendary Spirit of Determination, Spite!"

What I'm saying here is that Spite has always been Spite, and 'spite' is a type of determination. A subcategory, if you will. He is still a spirit of determination, just specifically determination as it manifests in the form of spite.

Taking this further, "demon" is a term that people in Thedas came up with to classify spirits they viewed negatively or as threats. So functionally, "demons" are just spirits that aren't benevolent or benign towards mortals, for whatever reason, whether they started out that way or were "corrupted" by circumstance/outside influence.

None of this is to say that Spite hasn't been traumatized or changed by his experiences, I think it's fairly obvious that he has, and not just in the Ossuary - I imagine living in an assassin's brain is going to have some impact on a being that is "susceptible to influence" (as Emmrich puts it) and could definitely explain Spite's being more inclined to solve problems with violence. But in spite of all this (see what I did there) from the very beginning Spite is remarkably cooperative for a so-called "demon." He makes an effort to understand and learn more about the world, he only ever takes control or lashes out in moments of intense frustration, he makes deals with Lucanis and adheres to them even when it would probably be easier to forcibly take him over, he actively bonds with other members of the team (Rook, Emmrich, Taash, Manfred) who bother to interact with him, he actively helps and shows concern for Lucanis and Rook even in situations that don't have anything to do with his own supposed goals. Spite didn't choose to be stuck in Lucanis, but he's determined to make things work (see what I did there again.)

Lucanis thinks he's making deals to appease Spite, Spite is actually making deals to appease Lucanis. And he's doing it because he feels whatever a spirit's equivalent of attachment is for him! The same thing that drew Manfred (Curiosity) to Emmrich, that drew the Spirit of Faith to Wynne all the way back in Origins, that draws the Wisps to Neve, etc. Lucanis is himself a human embodiment of determination, in at least the first half of the game that man is persevering on spite alone, and Spite loves that even if it means Lucanis is difficult as hell to reason with. Spite is frustrated that Lucanis keeps spiting him, but he also has to respect it. Game recognizes game.

This might come off as sort of... corny? Cheesy? but half the joy has been the friends we made along the way.

There are going to be vitriolic morons that will use corporate layoffs we've been witnessing for a while to portray the latest installment in a negative light. Ignore them. Block the hell out of a part of the fandom if you need to, the whining is ever-present around these places. Enjoy the game. It is a good, lore accurate Dragon Age game. It introduced a lot of new people to the wider franchise. There are people playing other installments for the first time and it's a joy to see. It is a breath of fresh air. Enter a better part of the community, make friends if you wish, hell knows it's so easy to do when this game inspired such a flow of creative energy.

Dragon Age has always been crafted by its loving fans as much as it was shaped by its talented devs. There would not be Dragon Age without its creators (put some damn respect on their names) and there would not be Dragon Age as we know it without its enthusiastic community.

A franchise is only as good as the people who love it. Personally, DA has been there for me through some of the fundamental times of my life, it's changed me and changed with me. It is my special interest, it is my lifelong friend, and it is going to stay. I don't need corporate approval to find joy in things and I do not pin my enjoyment on how high something ranked in a list made by people who only care about profit. Hope you can find joy too. I’m still so mentally ill over the whole Luffy refusing to eat unless it’s Sanji’s food thing. Like. We KNOW how fucking feral over food Luffy is. He loves food and loves eating so much that he steals it off other people’s plates and out of their hands and is so impatient when it comes to meals that he’ll literally try and sneak into the kitchen to mooch before it’s ready. Or he’ll try to break into the refrigerator. I know Sanji mentioned putting a lock on it at some point bc Luffy literally wiped it clean. He will not hesitate to eat other people’s portions or literally an entire meal meant for a whole ship of people! He’s unbelievably selfish when it comes to food and that’s just SUCH a central part of his character that it’s become almost endearing. Even in Totto Land Luffy didn’t think for a second before devouring everything in sight, including an entire fucking HOUSE, regardless of the consequences or the people it might affect. Homie did not care!! He’s food driven first and foremost!!!

Until Sanji leaves him. Until he decides that eating—something that he loves and brings him comfort—isn’t WORTH it unless it’s Sanji’s food he’s eating. It’s been shown that Luffy has zero self restraint when it comes to food so the fact that he was SURROUNDED by food on all sides on a food themed island and utterly refused to partake in any of that? Even though he hates being hungry and will always make eating a priority over pretty much anything else?? The amount of willpower it must have taken for him to sit there and purposefully let himself starve, for SANJI. Even when food was offered to him conveniently (in the form of syrup rain) he stubbornly rejected that. Because it wasn’t Sanji’s food. Because it wasn’t Sanji who made it, who always puts so much thought and care into the food he makes, who always indulges Luffy and prepares extra because he knows how much Luffy eats and how much he loves to eat. Luffy literally took one of the most defining traits he has and tossed it out the window. For Sanji. I’m going to fucking blow up
