Hmm Star Wars route: AU where Anakin and Obi-Wan are age-swapped. Possibly with Obi-Wan as the Chosen One, tho I do like the idea of keeping that as Anakin’s role. How does the story change with Anakin as Obi-Wan’s mentor, rather than the other way around? Who falls in this story? It’s still a story that’s part-father-son and part-brotherly, but a new angle could make all the difference.

I fear that with this chapter of Star we can say goodbye to our Froststar hopes. This looks like a moonpool trip and if it's been a quarter moon since Splashtail died they'd probably already have a leader, unless Mothwing suddenly decided very stubbornly that Frost would not get nine lives until she's fine again (despite some cats being literally dead when they got theirs (Tigerheartstar, Windstar)). At least it doesn't seem like we're getting Mothstar either.

I guess we're getting Icestar then...

I also think the Froststar dream may be over 😭

I’ve got a lot to say but I feel it may be easier to bullet point the reasons for and against for Froststar at the moment based on this audio alone.

For

The meeting Frost and Moth are travelling to might not be a full medicine cat meeting. Only Kestrelflight and Whistlepaw are mentioned as waiting. Perhaps they’re there to watch over the leadership ceremony since Mothwing can’t?

No leader is mentioned by Frostpaw despite the clan being in good condition (eg there’s no Xstar had spent their first quarter moon as leader…)

Against

Kestrelflight and Whistlepaw might be mentioned specifically because Frostpaw and Whistlepaw are going to have a joint medicine cat ceremony, hence those two would be the ones most likely to get impatient.

If the clan has got everything back in order that indicates someone has been leading them, and since Frostpaw has been recovering for a week it probably isn’t her.

Frostpaw specifically thinks of Mothwing as her mentor.

So yeah I think there’s still a chance of Froststar but I think most likely not now based on this audio, since there would have to be a particular set of unusual circumstances for that to happen, mainly regarding Kestrelflight and Whistlepaw’s presence waiting at the Moonpool.

Caitlin! I love her, really, but the way her tenure as Amunet's muscle (a decision she herself made, not just Frost) is glossed over by so much of the fandom is...disconcerting. Also, as I mentioned here, the fandom tends to paint her as very sweet overall and ignore that she can be quite brusque/blunt at times

(maybe if the show had stuck to their guns and kept Killer Frost as just Caitlin...💀)
