"The silver of the fruit tastes sweeter than the iron of the blood." There is a City in the center of the remaining world, said to house and protect the last gift from the Old Gods before they vanished. Your mother had told you stories of it as a child, before she died. No one is allowed to enter the City of Forgotten Silver without extensive documentation and proof they are worthy. Not everyone is allowed to grace divinity. There is no reason for you, a nobody, to be here but you've managed to worm your way in. You know the consequences if you get caught, and you know to keep your head down as often as you can. The risk to be here is great, for the City is desperate to protect what remains of the past. Everyone who has dared to take the Old God's last gift, a fruit with silver skin, has had their execution made a spectacle. For this fruit is the key to reviving the world to what it used to be. Or so it is believed. It's why those in power will do anything to protect it. You know this, but you have a plan to attempt its theft anyway. For without it, how else will you finally bring this world to its end?

To Taste Sweet Silver is an 18+ Gaslamp Fantasy IF about putting a crumbling world to rest.

The City Mage [M]:

A man who's more important then he lets on. The only reason you know he's a Mage is because you sense it on him. Despite his kind but stoic nature, you hesitate to approach him because if he finds out who you are, he will kill you. If only he wasn't also the holder of key information you need. He never seems opposed to answering your questions or pointing you in the right direction, making him your main source of information about the City of Lost Silver. However, the badge he wears reminds you to still your tongue, and watch your questions.

Whisper

The Jester [NB]:

Xer part of a night show, the sort outlawed in the City due to being propaganda about the Old Gods' departure. When xer not part of the show, xe have a traveling food cart xe only run at night. Although it's best not to draw attention to yourself and get involved with someone like xem, you can't help but wonder what's hiding under the mask. Especially with xer strange charm, odd sense of humor, and ability to show up at the worst of times for you.

Vivienne Silver

The Empress [F/trans]:

The youngest Empress ever crowned, and only due to the tragic assassination of her family. She's an elusive figure, never seen in public, but worshiped all the same. The people whisper her suffering is the reason why the City has seen such prosper in recent years, mythologizing her as a martyr. As an outsider, you have no strong opinion of her, until strange circumstances bring you together. She's exhausted and weary and as willing to bite as she is to be gentle.

Your benefactor and the sole reason you managed to get into the City. They found you in the outskirts one day and handed you a pass, telling you they can help you get what you want. You haven't seen them since. They're elusive and strange, and while they claim they're a God, you're not sure they're something quite so holy.

march 12th, 1949 dear diary, my friends and i were finally sent to the state-run institute. the staff are more patient here, the rooms are big and wide, and the diagnosed therapy methods are arguably better than hathmoore's. but this place still holds some similar harshness that reminds me of it... i'll have to hold out until we can all leave. i did see some other kids when i was going to treatment in an upper floor. i wonder how long they've been here... are they like us? do they have imaginary friends? pete and i plan to take a look tomorrow, maybe one of the girls will want to go too. i'll go to bed for now though, it's difficult to get used to a new schedule. 10:23pm

welcome to asphodel state asylum, in the world of imaginary friend asylum-verse! this is a little project we did for silly haha fun, with characters from the base game, and ocs for a fun bonus. with a simple post-canon plot that starts a month or two after IFA's ending, and silly characters for you to meet and interact with, IFAverse guarantees a fun experience for us creators and you readers alike!

Cupping her hands over xer mouth, Sylv breathed in deeply. “DOCTOR FAUUUUUUUUUUUST!” Xe bellowed. “I NEED YOUR ASSISTAAAAAAAAANCE!”

A door opened in the middle of the quiet street. “The doctor is in!” Cried the emerging man. Standing to his full height, he shaded his bag’s hole with his hand. “Who needs my—”

His gaze fell upon Sylv, and he flinched. “Eek!” His hand gasped behind him for where the doorknob used to be, but the door had vanished the moment it shut.

Faust’s hands raised to his head, shaking with emotion. “Find someone else to examine you!”

 “Considering you’re here now, I won’t settle for anything less!”

Chapter Song: I'm gonna tell my therapist on you by Pinkshift

“Have you seen a person with a white coat around?” Sylv stretched her arms above xer head. “He’s very tall, but usually crouches over when talking to people…”

“Mmm…” The person in front of her pressed their hand to their face, lips pursing. “I don’t think I have. Do you know his name, or what he looks like..? Ah, James, just a moment— mommy’s speaking to someone.” Bending over, she ruffled the hair of the child attached to her leg.

“He goes by Faust right now… Or last I heard. And as for how he looks… Well, his head is covered up with a large bag, but his skin is pretty pa…le…?” Sylv trailed off at the stupefied expression on the woman's face.

“You… Young man, usually you’d tell someone—”

“Pardon, but I’m not a man.”

“Young lady—”

“I’m not a lady, either.”

The woman’s mouth opened a few times. “Uh… Young… Young…” She trailed off, brow furrowing again. “Hm… W-well! Usually you would tell someone the most… Noticeable things about someone when looking for them! Someone wearing a bag over his head is way more memorable than someone wearing a white coat!”

“Does that mean you’ve seen him around?” Sylv brightened.

“No, I haven’t.” She shook her head.

“Momma!” The child bounced on their heels, shying away from Sylv’s gaze. “I’ve seen ‘im! When Marthy’s head hurt, he showed up to make her better! And he gave us all candy!” They covered their mouth, fingers splayed. “Uhm, oops… I wasn’t supposed to say that…”

“Huh?! I’ve told you not to take candy from strangers…! Have you eaten it?” The woman dropped to her knees to face the child, taking them by the shoulders.

“Uh… I didn’t say anything…! Anything at all!” Sucking their cheeks in, the child looked down at the pavement.

“James!”

“Ah, I wouldn’t worry about it.” Sylv waved xer hand between the two of them. Startling backwards, the woman looked back up at her. “That guy’s pretty good, as far as I know… He runs around helping people for free. He wouldn’t give a bunch of kids weird candy after all that, right?”

“S-still!” The woman pulled out the pockets of the child's jeans, letting the wrapped lollies fall into her palm. “I wouldn’t be a good mother if I didn’t worry. James, tell the m— person where you met the man, and then we are having a long talk.”

“But those candies are—!”

“James.”

“...” They kicked at the road, stone skittering off into the street. “He was in the park with the really cool swingset… The one that goes so high, you can even spin around upside down…”

“Thank you for your service, kid.” Sylv nodded. “Ah, and you too.” She added, nodding to their mother. “That was helpful.” Swiveling on xer heel, xe swiveled back. “In what direction is that park..?”

“Down the alley, turn right at the sewing shop, and if you arrive at the library, you’ve gone too far.” The woman pointed to the left. “Good luck finding your friend!”

“Oh, no, we aren’t friends. But thank you once again.” Waving, Sylv made her way down the street.

“...Really cool swingset, huh?”

“Well, I suppose there’s nothing to do except shout.”

Feet skidding against the bark chips to slow xemself down, Sylv cursed that the man was so difficult to find. Talking to people in the street confirmed that he’d been here over the last couple of days, but with how far he could travel in a matter of minutes, it didn’t mean he was still here.

It wasn’t as if thinking in circles would summon him, though. Xe was pretty sure the man wasn’t a mind reader.

“Great. Nice. Awesome!” Sylv clasped xer hands, step-hopping down from the seat of the swing xe’d been standing on. “Thank you for arriving so quickly!”

“...Dear citizen…” Faust placed his hands on his hips, leaning down to meet her at xer new eye level. “If you do not have something currently ailing you outside of that head of yours, I shall be taking my leave.”

“How should I know if I have something wrong with me without an examination?”

“There is absolutely something wrong with you, considering how often you forget the only thing I tell you!” Faust’s hands raised to his head, shaking with emotion. “Find someone else to examine you!”

“You’re one of the greatest doctors in the world!” Sylv paused. “Or so I’ve heard.” Waving a hand, xer voice rang louder. “Considering you’re here now, I won’t settle for anything less!”

His voice raised in conjunction with hers. “I’ve told you so many times—”

HEAVEN OR HELL.

Sylv threw her hammer forward, clawed back catching Faust on the shoulder. Yanking on the fabric smashed him towards the ground and towards her. As Sylv raised xer hammer to bring it back down, Faust burst with magical energy, ripping his clothes off for a brief moment. “Reverse!”

Thrown back, Sylv caught xemself before hitting the floor. Leaning forward with her hands resting on the hilt of xer hammer and xer head on her hands, she said cheerfully, “Looks as if this may be easier than I was expecting it to be.” Letting her hammer fall away, xe fell back into a fighting stance.

LET'S ROCK.

Sylv dove forward, swinging out her leg to knock Faust's out from under him. The doctor jumped back, throwing up a hand as he steadied himself. “Let's see what's coming out~!” He sang, clutching his hands to the side of his head.

“The fact that even you don't know—” Sylv cut xemself off with a curse as his scalpel swung out to hit her, barely pulling xer hammer out to block in time. “I mean, can't you pick—? Or tell—?”

“Whatever comes out is up to them!” With an obvious smile in his voice, he flattened himself to the floor to spike out a leg. “It's not up to me to decide!”

“That's—” Blocking his leg with an arm, xe swung out her hammer. “That's, uh, terrifying. What? How—?”

The blunt end of his scalpel jabbed xem in the gut, cutting her off with a heavy “guh”. He followed with a kick to the head, lecturing with a sing-song voice, “Dear patient, you would be in much better health if you paid attention during your check-up!” With a motion of his hand meant to indicate a wink, he jabbed said hand into xer shoulder. “With your head in the clouds, who knows what may happen?”

“Injury…” Grumbling from the ground, Sylv sprang into the air with xer hammer leading, landing on the ground with a smash that sent Faust flying. “But in my defense, I pay very close attention when something is interesting. That's usually enough to keep me fine.”

“That's not always enooooough~!” Throwing his hand up again, Faust yanked it back down to hold his scalpel firm against xer assault. “Being able to concentrate is a valuable skill! And I believe it's one you need to develop, dear patient!”

“I want you to look at my head, but you’re looking at the wrong part!” Sylv dropped to the floor, spinning to sweep his legs from under him. “I think your priorities are awry!” With that success, xe did a handspring forward, both soles of xer boots smashing into Faust and blowing him away. “In fact, I do believe that part of my health is far less pressing than anything else. So just take care of my physical and—”

As xer hammer welched into Faust's side (and the sound was so disturbing, xe had to drop her hammer to do a full body shudder), a shining green thing floated daintily down, missing getting hit by the swing by a hair.

Eyes flickering to it, Sylv's split second plan to punt it or throw it in Faust's face ripped itself to shreds.

“Oh! Hey! That's— that's—!” Dropping to a crouch as it floated lower, xe leaned forward to peer at it. “How'd you get one of Roboky's tiny robots?” Tilting her head to the side, her mouth dropped open. “Hey, he even has a scoo—ttzzzzkkaj!”

Xer entire body pulsed with electricity from where the tiny thing touched xer boot, words spluttering out.

“And that's where your intrigue fails you!” Faust's voice held a lecturing tone as he walloped xem into the air, his limbs stretching in disturbing ways to continue his beatdown. “It's all too easy for you to lose a fight if you don't concentrate on what you need to!” Slapping her to the ground, he landed while pulling out another mystery item, throwing it high in the air. “I must admit, I didn't take you for enough of a fool to become positively acquainted with the Post War Administration Bureau.”

“The who?” Turning over and hacking spit onto the pavement, Sylv rolled out of the way of the dumbbell accelerating towards xer skull.

“So you haven't fallen quite so far. What good news!” Faust slammed his scalpel on the ground where Sylv had just rolled from. “One hates to see a patient so ill, nothing can be done to cure them!” Pulling his hand out from his coat, he tossed a half dozen items into the air. “Still, that robot isn't the sort of company I'd recommend for anybody!”

“I don't recall asking your opinion.” Sylv swung xer hammer, cracking the falling dumbbell towards the doctor's face. “All I need is a physical checkup. Anything else is unnecessary.” Sidestepping a donut (xe had no idea where it'd been, and the frosting was a shade of pink so vivid it made her teeth hurt just to see it), she whirled in a circle, bringing xer hammer up to smash into Faust’s stomach. It landed and she twisted it, sliding the claw behind his back and yanking him forward. With an elbow jab to his sternum, xe swept a leg behind his knees, forcing him to the floor. Launching from the floor to a handstand on the handle, xe slammed down to land her leg in a full body weight smash right on his back.

SLASH!

Grabbing her hammer, Sylv swung it out as her other hand landed on xer hip. “That was an excellent fight.”

On the floor, Faust moaned. “No gooooooood…!”

“Wonderful, great, very cool!” Sylv pumped xer fists. “I’ve won, and that means you have to examine me!”

“If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a dozen times…” Faust woozily stood from the floor, collapsing back down immediately. “I’m a doctor… I’m not a dentist!”

“Doctors work on the human body, and teeth are a part of that!”

“You’re so insistent on this…” Standing once more, he tugged at the edge of his bag with quick little motions.

“Because it’s important!” Sylv wrung xer hands together. “C’mon, examine me already! I’ve emotionally prepared myself and everything!”

Faust threw his hands into the air. “I can see that talking won’t convince you of anything… I’m leaving to help people who actually need it— and who I can actually help!”

His hand landed on the doorknob behind him. “Call me again when you’re sick with something I can actually help you with, dear citizen!”

“No!” Sylv shot forward, arm outstretched. “Doctor—!”

The door swung shut, and suddenly there was no door at all.

“Damnit!” Sylv stamped the ground, biting xer lip. “I was so close…!” Shaking her arms, xe scowled at the air he had occupied seconds before. “Fanny talks him up so much… Next time I have an exam, I’m asking her for a different recommendation.”

Spinning on her heel, xer eyes caught on the swingset. Xe paused.

1. Malarkey, aka The Howler (they/them), based on ferrets and roosters. The mask is part of their face like a lizard’s head shield and does NOT come off.

2. Wonders in the Wilderness (he/him), whose puppet is based on a slugcat. He’s in very bad shape, physically and mentally.

3. Face the Music (they/them), whose puppet was originally a piperat owned by one of the ancients working on the iterator project. The piperat was modified into a puppet; Face the Music doesn’t remember being a piperat. In a nutshell, someone’s pet was turned into a god

4. Water Under the Bridge (it/she/they), whose puppet is also based on a slugcat. They are functionally dead after their underhang collapsed.

5. Archie, aka The Architect (any pronouns). They build various structures wherever they go like a nomadic Minecraft player would.

6. Anvil (she/they), who is based on rabbit rays.

7. Xenon (they/xe), who is based on Calamity mod’s luminous corvina enemy. They wear a flower from a voxel shrub.

8. Perch (he/they), a beecat-like slugcat mimic. Based on a teddiursa/dunsparce fusion from this website. The white fluffs on their back are false wings. Also, they like to dig holes :]

So sorry to hear what happened to your parent. How old were you and your siblings when xe was taken away? Do you have any depictions left of xem?

The Curator: Well, me and the Cartographer were about 2000. For your mortal species, that means we were roughly 8 years old, mentally, emotionally, physically, all of that. The Coordinator was around 4000, which is about 16 for you, Charmer was 3500, which is about 14. And the Collector was about 500, or 2 or so years old to you.

The Cartographer: I do have a picture. I made it using a projection of my memories of xyr.

princess prima garon (she/they/one) is the archetypical heroic good princess whose family was descended from a chosen one hero that defeated an evil overlord and sent them into exile. prima is the new chosen one to defeat a new evil: vindicta nox (any pronouns), queen of the neighbouring evil kindgom and descendant of the evil overlord prima's ancestor ousted. instead, they fall in love. (also turns out the kingdom's not that bad, just has a "villainous" aesthetic)

1. at first their families were. concerned. but over time stuff worked out and now they get along fine/their countries are allies

2. see above, i think it was harder for friends to get over distrust though

4. i imagine prima's most relevant ex might be the lancer to her leader in their hero-team? but either way they're on good terms and that was a while ago, just ended up being kind of incompatible for a committed relationship. maybe prima dated around as well but this would be a childhood friend... turned first love or something? 👀 considering making them arospec and realizing that later/vindicta feels "different" from the rest. vindicta is definitely also a different type of person from the people prima thought they should be dating... xe's much easier to be around as a Partner. vindicta may have a previous ex that they also ended up not being too compatible with, but that ex had a worse attitude about it and it ended on worse terms.

5. initially, they don't get many chances to sleep in the same bed. however physical touch is vv important to them (totally not projecting /s) so when their families and the people in their kingdoms became more okay with it they spend the night together alllll the time. usually at vindicta's place because he's, yknow, actively ruling crows country and travel arrangements are a pain in the ass. ANYWAYS prima loves sleeping tightly curled up into vindicta. or the two spoon, they probably have one of those couples' pillows so your arm isn't crushed

6. they ABSOLUTELY give each other nicknames/pet names. vindicta calls prima riri, while they call xem vin. vindicta uses a lot of the typical flirty villain pet names: "my dear", "my sweet", etc. this happens to fluster prima a lot, though it's hard for one to admit the obvious fact that one finds it attractive. prima isn't big on pet names except using the ones her gf calls her sarcastically sometimes, which it finds kinda funny. sometimes they jokingly call each other their full names and titles.

7. vindicta likes how strong-willed and determined her riri is, almost stubborn. however, this can almost be exasperating and sometimes prima doesn't know ones own limits. less decided/articulate on what prima likes and dislikes about vindicta

8. not gonna go into too much detail about this (i am a minor) but prima: vindicta's overall height/build (vin is the taller one), and voice if that counts as physical vindicta: probably into collarbones? and the uhh waist/stomach area yk.

9. didn't know what this was, looked it up. seems to be about commitment and also just, happiness in a long term relationship? so i guess so.

10. haven't built out too specific of a timeline yet but they've definitely had big fights over what i mentioned in #7 with vin getting frustrated over prima being kinda self destructive and almost obsessed with "the right thing"

13. as i mentioned, both really value physical touch. they also both do a lot of words of affirmation (building off of hero/villain banter). besides that vindicta leans more gift giving and prima more acts of service/quality time. in terms of unique expressions of love, they like sparring with each other and helping improve the other's swordsmanship. prima enjoys trying to cook things that vin might like and generally like... presenting skills she's learning to him. meanwhile vindicta likes surprising darks gf with gifts related to their interests in particular, dark really enjoys their reactions.

14. idk what really counts as a "little thing" but? prima: smelling petrichor after rain. finding shapes in the clouds, moon, or stars. experiencing hypnogogia before falling asleep. running your hand along cold, polished stone. enjoying a drink so warm it almost burns your tongue. vindicta: happy vestibular stimming. waking up as the sun rises. noticing the seasons change. aspects of prima's style of magic usage: a pinkish yet golden light, a hard-to-describe tingling feeling.

15. prima definitely picked up a bit of that "flirty villain" vibe in her mannerisms, while vindicta has grown a bit more lighthearted and energetic in conversation. they copy each others' stims.

Atari Expo 2023 Chile

Atari Expo 2023, was an event dedicated exclusively to the hardware of Atari like Atari 2600 (also known as VCS) and Atari 800 (micro-Computer), and Atari ST (hardware of 16 bits).

The place of the event was on a Saturday (July 22) (in a day very rainy winter) in Biblioteca de Santiago in Matucana 151.

Some Atari Hardware like 400, 600, 800, 800 XL

There are small stands that sell some Homebrew software & Atari Merch, for example, Lost Squadron for Atari 800 XL & XE was developed in 2020 by Janusz Chabowski (Code and sprite graphic) and Michal Szpilowski (Music and SFX), this game was the winner of the ABBUC competition (Atari Bit Byte User Club since 1985).

1) Vladimir Zuñiga better known as VHZC is an enthusiastic indie game developer, he writes his games in Basic for Atari 2600, and he is a Graphic Designer, developer in Front End for Websites.

2) Victor Parada, a Programmer with experience, and an indie Homebrew developer by hobby, like to create a game for Atari 800 in an optimized way and he write his games in Assembler with 10 lines only, he show me his recent project in an Atari 800 XL; Block Chaser.

3) Marcelo Waldbaum & Pedro Caraball , were the founders of Turbosoft in 1987 in Argentina with to Mauro Pieressa & Pedro Dominguez & In 1988 they founded TurboSoft in Chile and in with Coelsa company (official Atari hardware & software dealers) developed and they sold various products for Atari 800, maybe they are the first software and hardware developer in our country.

They developed:

- Loading Game with System and Error detector for Cassette (DCE) while loading a game you could play Tubo Tennis (before that Namco patented the mini-game in the loading screen for PlayStation games)

-Otari (a machine that copies cassettes)

-Cassette with 6 games for play in 1991

-Loading Software Injektor (reduce the time of load to 45 Seconds, before the cassettes, were take between 5-8 minutes to load the program

-Turbo Cartridge of 64K (between 9 to 25 games)

-Turbo VHS, you can play videogames in VHS (yes, read well in VHS)

-Revista Turbo News (1989-1991) a magazine about games and Hardwares of Atari with advertising of Coelsa.

3) Robert Jaeger, the legendary indie game developer famous for making Montezuma Revenge published by the legendary Parker Brothers in 1983 for Atari 2600, 800, Commodore 64, etc, gave us a preview of his next new projects and answers us via live broadcast of our question.

Recently he launched the Version Montezuma Revenge for NES programmed by Felipe Renaud, who was written the game in Assembler (Felipe Renaud is a Chilean Programmer, who currently working at UbiSoft), Robert Jaeger has founded Normal Distribution LLC his new game company, and they made a Kickstarter for Montezuma NES in 2019, and the game packaging and Manual was designed by Alejandro Cobelli (Youtuber of "Juego del Recuerdo").

Recently Montezuma Revenge's has a new version was released on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile devices.

Also, I met with José Bargas, who is working with Robert Jaeger on an update called Director Cut, he made Montezuma Maker, a Romhack of the original with more rooms of 16 K to 32 K (an expansion of the original in resume).

Montezuma Revenge for Atari 800 was released by Parker Brothers, but in our country, we received the unfinished version, a copy, when Robert Jaeger was looking for a publisher with the Demo and finally this was filtered from the CES 1982, which was the most popular version for the Chilean users of a Atari 800. During the day I met with old friend, how I met some youtubers of my country.
