This screams scam but in any case: according to the latest polls there is a %93 chance you support the death penalty for gays & lesbians. And I know many other homosexuals might have sympathy for you, but I'm a militant homosexual who does not care for the life of any homophobe. Suffer the consequence of your 7th Oct.
#inb4 any bourgeois western wants to at me#I live in a country surrounded by these type of countries#where the death penalty is not uncommon for homosexuality#I have friends who have fled these countries#and been murdered upon returning to these countries#so when you come at me for not caring about genocide or whatever the incorrect fuck#what about the homosexual genocide?#why should I care about a nation dedicated to genociding homosexuals?#a country where the overwhelming majority support this violence against homosexuals?#I had to hear about when one of my friends was killed due to her brother throwing acid on her in an 'honour killing' because she was lesbia#Why should I care about these homophobic countries?#The world would be better with less of them#Explain to me why I should care for the lives of people who want me dead?

I don't want to see any of you usamericans talk about "punching nazis" ever again. I don't want to hear yall pat each other on the back and say shit like "If I had been alive during the holocaust I would have done something about it", or any other white savior shit like that.
You don't care about jews, you didn't care about them back then, just as you don't care about palestinians now. Yall repeat and repeat "the holocaust was terrible, we should condemn it", not because you care, but because it lifts yourselves up. Because it's the only war that the US won where they just happened to be on "the good side", so it portrays you as heroes, warriors of justice, which happens to be excelent propaganda material, so you exploit it. You make memorials, you make films, hundreds of them, fetishizing the jewish suffering and portraying yourselves as the force of good that saved them all. Meanwhile, dozens of other genocides - many of them even bigger and bloddier than the holocaust - happen around the world, many of them endorsed or supported by your government. But yall don't care. It's not the holocaust. You're not the good guys in this one so why bother making a movie, why pay atention to it at all? It's hard to keep track of everything happening in the world, it has nothing to do with you. So you just keep scrolling your socials paying no mind to whatever fucked up shit is happening out there, until you run into some fucker from the global south posting something mildly critical of israel, or about how the United States shamelessly exploits jewish history for the sake of warfare, or how victim mentality is a dangerous thing for a marginalized group to hold on to, and you get furious. How dare they say things that don't align with the narrative I've been fed my whole life?? They are anti-semitic!! They hate jews!! They are nazis!! And you tell them so, you put them in their place, because you are a democrat and a good guy and you won't tolerate nazis. And then you reblog "support our troops" posts and write letters to your president begging him to bomb brown people on the other side of the planet because they are terrorists, I think. And I'm here to tell you that you are not the good guy, you are not a hero. You are a victim of indoctrination and an idiot, and your domestic white politics mean absolutely nothing to the rest of the world.
Yes, I did watch Schindler's list. No, I don't hate jewish people. Yes, I'll aggresively condemn Israel's actions and anyone blind enough to say that one genocide justifies another, and I will always support palestinian people. And if you happen to be a jewish person that has somehow found themselves in the center of a conversation that isn't even about you, and getting negative attention you don't deserve, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that no matter what you do or where you live, you keep being used as a scapegoat and your life and history exploited for colonialist propaganda, your heritage is worth more than that.
So keep calling yourselves the good guys, keep pulling the anti-semite card or the "Palestine is homophobic" argument. Keep playing your white politics in your white country that you stole from non-white people. The rest of the world is watching you and history will remember you as what you are and always have been; fucking colonizers.

I'd love to talk more about the locker room scene in S2 E2 of Young Royals, where Wilhelm tries to convince Simon to get back together with him, in the process (sadly) demonstrating that he believes his mother's feeble offer to "talk" about him possibly coming out when he's 18. This takes place after his almost-removal from Hillerska.
Plenty of people have already pointed out how Henry snitched on Wille and Felice’s kiss, but apparently didn’t choose to tell anyone (as far as we’re aware) about Wilhelm almost pleading with Simon to get back together with him during that post-almost-dragged-out-of-Hillerska conversation. And that's definitely an interesting thing to chew on. But there's more...
Here are a few other things that stand out to me too:
First -
I think it’s worth pointing out the obvious — Wilhelm clearly sees Simon in his future long-term (possibly for the rest of his life). The way he casually says to Simon “So, we’d only have to keep it a secret for 2 years” implies three things very clearly.
a) He immediately and easily sees himself together with Simon in 2 years and beyond. Actually, specifically, definitely beyond. Because his eye is on the prize: coming out and living openly with Simon *after* he turns 18 — implying his focus is entirely on the intended afterwards period. He doesn’t even blink at that idea; it’s obvious to him.
b) He also really doesn’t seem to think 2 years is a big deal. For a teenager who’s only lived 16 years on this planet (only approximately ~11-ish of them in a state where they’re forming conscious memories) to think 2 years is just a drop in the bucket is kind of wild. Even 6 months feels like forever to a kid. So Wilhelm — a child — viewing time from this perspective suggests he’s likely balancing 2 years out against a much longer expanse of time; hence why those 24 months would look so minuscule and shrug-worthy by comparison. In other words: he sees himself with Simon in the LONG long term. Two years is nothing if you’re imagining growing old with someone and spending the rest of your many decades on this Earth with them. (All of this is pretty much confirmed later on in S2, when Wilhelm offers to abdicate the throne for Simon.)
c) He also doesn’t seem to think Simon should be appalled by the idea of waiting for 2 years. Yes, sure, we can chalk part of that up to selfishness and lack of mentalization / empathy for Simon’s point of view. But I’m going to suggest it’s more than that. My takeaway is that he assumes Simon also sees them as endgame, and so naturally wouldn’t be bothered by waiting a bit longer in order to spend forever together. (Sadly the conversation does not play out that way for him; ouch. Though no shade to Simon: what he said in response was realistic and fair.)
Second -
I think we have to rewatch his interactions with Simon as Henry slams a door and slowly walks past them with a raised eyebrow. Because, in S1, that Wilhelm would have immediately jumped away from Simon to create distance and try to pretend there’s plausible deniability about what their relationship has been and could be again. That’s (one) part of the whole point of S1: Wilhelm is not ready to be brave enough to face a homophobic aristocratic world and take a bold stance to stand by Simon.
Instead, in S2 E2, he sits still. He stays right next to Simon. In fact, he *leaves his hand resting directly on Simon’s thigh.* And he knows someone is coming their way! He heard the door slam inside the locker room. Obviously he knows someone else is here. But he doesn’t jump. He actually doesn’t really stir much at all.
He sits there like it’s of no importance, and he doesn’t care who sees. Or, even, who overheard this very intimate, vulnerable, and pleading conversation. A conversation in which the future King of their country is almost on the verge of begging his ex to please be his again… not just for now, but for multiple years’ time. I mean we’re like 2 steps away from Wille practically offering Simon a “promise ring” (not sure if that concept holds up in Europe, but it’s basically a very pre-engagement type thing in the US; it’s not common though). (Their convo also makes it very clear Simon was the one who dumped him and that he’s having trouble accepting that and moving on.)
Yet he doesn’t seem perturbed or disturbed by Henry’s presence and overhearing and seeing them. He doesn’t seem embarrassed at all. He’s not ashamed of his love for Simon. Even more specifically, he’s not afraid of people (Henry) seeing him put his heart out on the line, and of them knowing that he wants Simon back - not for just a hook-up, but for a very long-term, serious, committed relationship. And he doesn’t make any moves to emotionally or physically distance himself from Simon, despite Henry’s clear witnessing of this private moment.
This is a subtle way to show that, even though Wille hasn't yet gone through his full S2 journey of self-awareness and self-growth, he has still already begun changing and growing after the end of S1. So he’s at least started to learn some of his lessons about what he needs to do differently.
Anyhoo, the whole point I’m trying to make is… gosh there were so many fascinating things happening in that scene. And they rush right past us in the blink of an eye! But there is so much meaning built into every small interaction and non-interaction there, and into every nonchalant assumption the characters casually voice.
I’m sure there’s more meaning and are more details I missed, too! What did you think? I’d love to learn more from others’ perspectives, too. :)

Here's my take on CaitVi: I do like the ship, I believe that caitlyn does love Vi, and I think it's obvious that Vi was smitten from day one, however, I don't think Caitvi shippers should get upset when someone expresses distaste for it. I've seen a lot of discourse online about the whole "Oppressor x The oppressed" troupe (if I can call it that) is a bit uncomfy, so from the get go the structure of the pair is already an eyebrow raiser.
This can be put aside due to the fact that Cait is apart of the oppressors (plural, a group, the topsiders, her mother was on the council), but wasn't an oppressor (singular, her acts as an individual). She genuinely cared about the lives of the Zaunites, she has compassion, that's probably why Vi fell for her in the first place.
So when season two came out, that's when whoever didn't like the ship finally figured out why. She became the Oppressor, the power imbalance was always there, but it tipped heavily, even if Vi was made an enforcer she's still from the undercity. Anybody from a third world country\ area with a lower socioeconomic status should get what i'm saying, the power imbalance doesn't have to be obvious and in your face but it's felt. Any romantic relationship with a power imbalance is going to have problems (which is fine because no relationship is perfect).
Now listen up, I am a Caitlyn defender, she was vulnerable and manipulated, this isn't justifying what she did or how she treated Vi, but she had remorse, she's still a good person with good intentions. (Side note: I've seen a couple videos likening Caitvi to Adora and Catra, "you think Caitvi is toxic? well you wouldn't have survived-" Um!! What Adora and Catra had was very toxic, yes they got better and moved on but you can't pretend like what was going on wasn't unhealthy for both parties).
In conclusion, it has issues, and If you think they belong together, that they love each other, that it's meant to be, that's okay!!. BUT, if it makes you skeptical, and you aren't a fan, that is also okay!! No you aren't homophobic you just have reading comprehension.
#I wanna say that I do ship them I think about them all the time#but it was a little odd to me that Vi became an enforcer instead of Cait becoming a rebel#just a bit odd#caitvi#caitlyn kiramman#caitlyn arcane#violet arcane#vi arcane#vi x caitlyn#arcane league of legends#arcane season two

KÖNIG HC’S FOR MY KÖNIG GIRLS.
- I HC him as being definitely taller than your average man, but not his fanon height. Many people go with the narrative that he’s 6’10/2m 08cm’s, for what I understood this is a made up data, nowhere is it specified that he’s actually 6’10, so what I actually assign him is a height of 6’7, we know how Ghost is somewhere between 6’4/6’5 which it’s still pretty tall (1,89 cm), but we also know by comparing the models, that König is a bit taller, so I am kind of basing his height on this difference between him and Ghost. Also, knowing he could not be a sniper because of his height motivates me even more to think that he is indeed a guy bigger than your average. Again, it’s a personal HC, may or may not be shared, it’s not a canon attribute.
- As I already specified in some of my other posts, I view him as a clean individual, in a sense than he has a routine and will try to maintain it even on duty. Being at the barracks will not obstruct his routine, he washes his hair with shampoo and conditioner, he uses a particular face soap, made for his type of skin, and he uses body lotion instead of a bar of soap. It has to be said that he wasn’t always this organized, for example, thanks to you he got to buy the face wash that he now brings everywhere he goes, you kinda talked to him about using a bar of soap for all the body and explained to him how unhygienic was to use the same towel for face, body and cock/ass, because despite you being ‘clean’ after the shower, you’re still dragging bacteria form around your body onto your face and hair, overall you kinda motivated him to uplift his already good habits. He sometimes lets you do his skincare too, and when he remembers, he will actually put some face cream on. He’s still a bit fearful of coming as not very masculine, but you’re making him work on it, so he can accept that taking care of himself will never be a turn down for you, not when he’s already so hot for his age, he better maintain himself!
- Another critical point about our Köni is his age. We have a vague idea of how old he could be, many HC’ing him from 35 to late 40’s. My guess is he could be somewhere between 38 and 43, I do prefer him as a 39/40 years grandpa tho. Again, personal HC, do not take it as canon! I’d be happy honestly if they would reveal his age, probably because no matter what, I’d still simp even if he turned out to be 50 years lmaooooo.
- Yes, he does come from a village in the country side, but he did join military pretty young, so I HC him as being actually a pretty open minded individual. Remember he gets to work with technology every day, he knows what’s going on around the world, and him joining young actually was a benefit, because he got to form his own opinions in a place that welcomed every kind of human beings. He didn’t get to grow up from the hate he received at school so he kind of escaped a life where he could’ve easy became what we call an inc€l today. He grew some balls, got his priorities right. He was for sure subjected to some kind of morally wrong opinions that grew into him, that’s why you’re spending time on him, being patient and trying to explain to him many things he considered undeniable reality until he meet you. The classic ones are: males should not cry because only girls do, women can work but they would be better at home, men don’t pay attention to their physical appearance that’s for feminine boys, and many similar things. He’s slowly getting out of his habits, and you’re proud of him.
- Listen, people have mixed feelings about this one but imma say it, aside from shipping and all, König is not and will never be Homophobic. He does not have any problem with lgbt+ nor is he disturbed by couples openly showing affection in his presence. Early access to internet and a very religious family could have created the worst possible outcome for him, but he was never big into religion, already redeeming it a waste of time at a young age, but still attending church because of his mom. He knows some recruits are openly gay, he doesn’t see a problem nor does it bother him knowing he could be someone’s crush. Now I do HC him as completely straight, but again it’s MY way of imagining König, I still think that in an orgy or threesome with reader, if he trusts the other male part, he would not be against having their cocks in the same hole, rubbing against each other, or in general he would not be against having some skin to skin contact with another male because at the end he does it because it only benefits you.
- He is a perverted dog, not only because he is ‘old’ and has fucked young girls (not minors! He is not morally fucked up like that), or generally his sexual history is pretty normal for a man that age, he was just always eager to see, learn and search for what he felt was exciting to him. He had threesomes before us, he has sex, he did many things that gave him the skills and experience he’s been using on us, but yes overall I HC him as being the one that always had a porn journal under his pillow, he would even lend them around the barracks.
- He loves pussy. He eats it for HIS own pleasure okay? He would die between your legs. He cums only by eating you out. He gets drunk on pussy. Pussy is what he lives for. He’ll never die on field, living purely out of spite, because he’ll no! What do you mean he’s never gonna enjoy your pussy again if he dies! ABSOLUTELY NOT! He’ll get home, beaten, cut, stabbed, whatever, but he’ll be home to you, and he will lick your pussy for the rest of the night saying “this what’s keeping me alive honey”. And truth is you can’t deny it to him, because it’s so good, no matter the circumstances, it always brings him back home.

I need to talk about son of a coma guy for a second because I don't think that some people realize that the aforementioned coma guy also did some old man yaoi type shit back in the 80s
this is the coma guy:
and this is john larroquette, aka dan fielding from the '84-'92 sitcom night court:
dan is a district attorney in manhatten, new york. he is very much the character who is obsessed with his looks, who he's seen with, how much he's worth and women; and when I say women, I mean the stereotypical big boobs, blond and ditzy.
one look at his character and he come off as a misogynist, who only sees women as objects, and while that is true for that type, it is not true for all of them. dan has a great deal of respect for the women of the court room he works with. selma, flo and roz, the three female bailiffs throughout the series, respect (and scare) dan, even though he is a pig (there's also billie and christine but that's a whole other can of worms not fit for a house blog) selma and flow are both older women who die during the shows run and roz is not his type, but even if all three of them were his type, I don't think that anything would have happened because of their respect.
and this being the late 80s early 90s, there are of course jokes about him being perceived as gay, even going so far as to being stuck in an elevator with a gay man for an entire episode (now a little side tangent about that episode, I don't necessarily think that dan is homophobic, but more so offended that someone thought he was, I just had to put that out there) of course he takes offence, he goes out of his way to sleep with women left and right, even going as far as to get out of work early to do so (a lot like house in that aspect, but we'll get to that later)
now I don't know exactly what shipping culture looked like back then (if anyone can tell me though that would be really cool) but I think it's safe to assume that nobody was hardcore shipping dan with harry t. stone, the presiding judge of the courtroom where dan worked.
now on to dan and harry,
I mean, just look at the two of them. I love dan and harry very much. dan cares a great deal for harry, even though he would never admit that. in fact, the very first episode, dan tries to get harry removed from the bench. dan and harry are very liked minded when it comes to the court; I think that's why dan "tolerates" harry as much as he does. and while harry wished dan spent his personal time on thing other than women and dan could care less about harry's hobbies, they both care and respect each other.
ok ok , now on to the comparison of dan and house.
they both have a past they wish they could have buried:
dan - his parents being country folk, dan in fact being his middle name and being from louisiana altogether
house - his dad, stacy, and in part his leg (there's definitely more to this list but you get the drift)
and one last character comparison I wanna make is that they both pay for women; that's said outright, but I honestly think that in terms of who would keep paying for longer before asking themself "what the fuck am I doing?" is dan. now, that might come as a shocker to someone whose never seen night court, but house is more self loathing than dan and I think he would realize first that what he is doing stopped being fun 100 dollars ago and oh, my leg is starting to hurt again. dan would go for broke, metaphorically and physically, until he was broke and until the two (or three or four) of them broke the bed. all dan cares about is sex and all house cares about is forgetting, they just happen to show off in the same way.
I will leave you all with me projecting that dan and harry are house and wilson respectively because I am in fact that far gone
your honor, it's the same picture
should I do harry and wilson next??
#house#house md#gregory house#hugh laurie#night court#dan fielding#john larroquette#son of a coma guy#this ended up being longer that i thought it would#and i know i still need to do the regular show character comparison#i have it done i just need to post it 😓

as for your au, do you hc any nations as being queer? which ones? how does this play into politics and homophobia? would they stay closeted because of it? I've always thought relationships between nations would be seen as extremely problematic under the public eye, hence the hundreds of years of pining and denial. Not only for national relations but also because the relationship would most likely be a queer one considering the ratio of male/female nations.
It would be kind of hard to justify being homophobic if it's known that the literal personification of your own country has a long history of queerness. It's not like anyone has the right to tell them to not be, when the only other immortal beings are probably of the same gender, and being two immortal beings who have been through literal war and death together they have a bond that no human could possibly hope to understand.
Obviously I don't know your stance on shipping so you don't have to answer this, but the subject and implications of homophobia and relationships have always been so interesting to me in a public au and I need to hear someone else's thoughts. Thank you!!
Some of my queer headcanons kind of align with what is already canon/popular in fanon. I'm just going to do a quick bullet list. It's okay if you don't agree with them.
Italy: Bisexual. He mostly likes women though. He’s kind of half closeted because of biphobia and homophobia, but also everyone lowkey kind of knows.
Germany: a gay. A homo. I cannot see him with a woman. The only one who doesn’t know he’s gay is himself.
America: I see him as aromantic. He has sexual attraction, but he doesn’t vibe with romance.
France: very openly pansexual. Also kind of gnc. He mostly dresses in suits, but he loves expressing his French fashion regardless of gender norms.
Poland: Genderfluid and gay, but he's very closeted because of queerphobia.
China: Undecided level of queer. But he doesn’t really care about labeling it.
Greece: pan, but he doesn’t even acknowledge it.
Sweden: Canonically gay.
Spain: Bisexual because of his marriage with Austria.
Austria: Denies being queer because the marriage was political. Forever unlabeled.
Wales: Aroace. I cannot see him as anything else. His only love is for dragons or something.
Vietnam: Lesbian. She does not care for men.
Egypt: Non-binary. When someone asks if he's a boy or a girl, he'll reply "I'm Egypt."
It can get very messy with politics. Nations being in public relationships with each other is always going to be seen as a political statement. It's only something that is allowed if they're legally married. If they do enter relationships, especially if their governments are enemies, they keep it on the dl. A lot of nations, such as Poland, are closeted because of A: being forced by their bosses to do so, and B: the queerphobia they would face should they come out.
It doesn't matter if a country is openly queer, there will always be homophobes and shit. The most common form of Olympic-level mental gymnastics is claiming "my nation has been brainwashed by the queer community, which is why these anti-queer laws are necessary to keep them safe!" Sometimes, they'll protest in the streets/harrass the nation (though nobody likes the people who do this). Sometimes, they just denounce their citizenships and move somewhere else (good riddance).

Jamie Reed: Good morning, my name is Jamie Reed, I hold a Masters of Science in Clinical Research Management from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. I'm a life-long Democrat, a mom of five boys and a lesbian. I'm also the public whistleblower from a pediatric gender center. I saw patients from the age of three until twenty-six and worked with nearly 1500 unique patients.
I worked in pediatric gender medicine for nearly five years, and I was once a true believer. What I learned is that these are interventions based on poor research, poor evidence and poor outcomes.
Last week alone, two new systematic reviews were published in Canada finding that puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones have zero to no evidence to support their use. Last night in Queensland, Australia, puberty blockers were banned for those under the age of 18.
In the center where I worked, I saw directly to patients who were harmed by these interventions, patients whose mental health got worse after initiation, and patients who mourned the permanent changes to their bodies.
This all started with a small group of clinicians in the Netherlands who came up with this idea to transition kids. They were seeking the children they believed would go on to have a lifetime of troubles with their sex, and intervene when they were young. Why? Because the transsexual adults they were working with were not doing well.
When they completed the first study, they found that the young people were proto-gay youth. 68 out of 70 self-proclaimed that they were same-sex attracted, and they transitioned them. Because we were expendable. We were okay to be harmed, to have our endocrine systems destroyed with wrong-sex hormones, we were okay to have our fertility taken away, we were okay to have our sexual function stripped away.
And then the British repeated this study. They cast a wider net and this time they caught the proto-gay youth and the vulnerable. The children with autism and trauma. And then they transitioned them. And they hid those results because, again, this is poor research, poor evidence with poor outcomes.
And then we in American caught wind and we cast a huge net across this entire country, in every state, and we pulled in whoever could be caught. And now we see this problem. We see the proto-gay youth, the vulnerable, the children with autism, with mental health concerns, with trauma, and they've all been caught in this new group. And now there's a group of primarily girls influenced by TikTok, hurt by COVID lockdowns, these are straight girls with private insurance with caring liberal parents and we have transitioned them all.
The social contagion is real. And now the problem is clear. The girls began to realize what had been done to them, they stepped up and said stop, this is hurting us, and we now see the global crisis for what it is and it needs to be stopped everywhere.
To all of the LGB people listening today, and to the young people in this room who've been sold the lie of "trans," you are resilient and strong. You do not need medications to change your body, you should not have to lose any body parts, risk medical harms, change anything about yourself to be embraced and accepted. We do not have to conform to any straight people's idea of how we should look.
"Trans" is the most homophobic idea ever considered. We were once given electric shocks to make us straight, we were once forcibly raped to make us straight, and now we are being transed. We are perfect just the way we are, no one needs to cut off any body parts to make you authentic.
Stop supporting our own destruction and fight back with everything that you have.

What are your lawlight headcanons?
Oh, an ask? In my inbox? It took a while to realize there really was something in the inbox and it wasn't a bot this time. Anon, this is my first real ask, I'm so touched <3
To the topic! Lawlight headcanons! I have so many, I don't even know where to start. Some of them are AU genre specific, some are based on which arc/timeperiod it is. So many thoughts, how to summarize...
Warning: Below is a long ramble of a few headcanons and why I think that way. They're headcanons, and don't need canon or authorial proof to exist, thanks. Some of them might be AUs too, oops.
For AUs set in the early 2000s, where Light is first arc age. L realizes he's in love first. Not because L's older. Because of the circumstances Light grew up in.
Light is the eldest (and only) son of his family. He had his life figured out since childhood and never doubted he would do anything other than follow that path: Become a detective, chief, and eventually director. Get a girlfriend, buy a car and a house, marry said steady girlfriend, have two kids, the whole traditional family thing. You can even see hints of that in second arc.
When I first read the manga, I could see it in manga!Light. It seemed that way to me because it is sort of a common cultural thing between some Asian countries. Not anime!Light though, which is interesting, but not the point here.
So, Light does not realize he's in love, because he's never had the question of whether he's gay, because he never thought the reason he can't keep his eyes off L is because he's attracted to L, because 'attraction to L' is a non-existent concept in his consciousness.
Light is not dense, nor homophobic or anything. He recognizes when other men are attracted to him, he accepts that people can love whoever they want. He just never superimposes that image on himself.
It takes a whole long while for his brain to cook enough, to separate himself from the image he has in his mind. Then, he questions his sexuality and realizes he is, indeed, attracted to men as well. Or rather, one specific man. He has no sexual and romantic interest in anyone else and by that age, Light has experimented enough to know that.
Between Older Light and L, Light would be the first one to figure it out. But between 18 - 21 year old Light and L, it would L.
2. L is very specific about textures. His favorite, the one he discovers when he meets Light, is Light. Light takes very good care of himself, his face and body being as much a resource he uses as his brains.
Cue touchy L. L likes to run his fingers through Light's hair, he likes it when he can touch Light skin-to-skin, likes it when Light touches him back with his fingers.
As much as L likes watching Light (because L will freely admit he is a shallow creature and Light is very attractive to watch indeed), L loves touching Light more. He may or may not miss body language cues if he's too close to observe the full picture, but the trade off is worth it to L.
3. Light's long list of ex-girlfriends and admirers has stumped L many times. Especially when Light admits they all knew about the others. And that they don't begrudge Light for not committing 100%. And that they still happily help Light with whatever he wants them for even decades later.
Sometimes, it makes L wonder if he is just another victim of Light Yagami's charisma. Then he discards that thought because it doesn't matter. He has Light and Light is just as obsessed with him right back. L is the eventual winner and it doesn't matter who caught whom when they're both in it together.
4. They're both highly competitive. It translates over to board games as well. It's a Rule TM, posted on the fridge, notarized, signed and stamped by their friends and family, that they are never allowed to play Monopoly. And Uno. And Catan. And- [an increasing list of trade focused games].
Addendum - Twister should only be played in personal space, behind closed locked doors! — Sayu and Mello
Addendum 2 - Light is forbidden to play Jenga with Near. — L
That's all for now! If I continue, I'll never stop XD
Thanks for the ask, Anon!

One thing I deeply love about Henry’s character than it’s not often acknowledged in the fandom is how he’s unapologetically gay, and his journey to become unapologetically gay.
We know Henry has been aware of his sexuality since young, than unlike Alex, it wasn’t something he didn’t acknowledge/repress. Henry (quoting Casey) “was born awake”, had no queer awakening. We know it was not something he was proud of when he was younger, he believed it was “the most unforgivable thing about me.”
And yet, he spends his time learning queer history and reading queer literature. He spends the book in the closet, believing he will never come out, that maybe he shouldn’t come out. And he finished the book out, running a shelter for lgbt teens. Do you guys understand that? This is someone who went from being locked away and not even looking for the key to someone who decides enough is enough, and is tired of faking. He becomes some kind of icon for queer teenagers, someone they can look up to, someone who understands. Henry and Pez start a shelter, and they became the queer elders they once needed in their life.
Henry is proud of being gay. Henry doesn’t want to hide, Henry is incredibly passionate about his history and those who came before him, Henry will remember them, they won’t be forgotten, not if he’s here. This is someone who grew up on a homophobic environment (not necessarily because of homophobic parents, but monarchy isn’t exactly known for it’s acceptance and diversity), who felt bad about being gay for so long, who was made believe that being in the closet was good, that he couldn’t come out, than he shouldn’t, that it would be best for everybody if nobody knew. That he should be hidden away, that no one could know, it was shameful, unnatural. And on top of it all, being a prince means responsibility and the weight of a country on your shoulders, it means cameras following you around, having a whole nation judging what you’re wearing today. The hiding was constant, his defenses were always up. Could he tell this person? Could he be sure they wouldn’t leak it to the press?
Henry never experienced community. How could he, when he spent all his life either hiding or being hidden away? Yet he wants to. He longs for it so much. He reads about queer history and wonders how it must have been like, to be at the front of a protest, and know those behind are with you, are like you, and for once, look into the eyes of a police officer and not feel afraid. How it must have been like to go to a parade, would his throat feel tight, would he choke back tears? Or would he smile, feeling at peace? No idea, and it’s not like he could ever discover, right? The only thing he had always longed for the most, the feeling of community, of acceptance, is the thing most out of his reach there is. The one thing he cannot buy, cannot get.
He believed himself “a problem that deserved to stay hidden, never quite trusted myself or what I wanted”. Not only for his sexuality, for himself as a person, but being gay also played a role, of course it did. He never trusted what he wanted, why would he, when what he wants is shameful and forbidden. Being gay was never an option. First, being gay was unfathomable, something that made him different, shameful. Something his classmates joked and laughed about, about those people. Then, being gay was a thing brave, normal people were. The ones at the head of the protests, the ones marrying each other, the ones writing books, those were not princes. Even after learning his history, and that people like him have always been there, he’s still not allowed. Perhaps he would be, if only he had been born in another family, but he hasn’t, and there’s nothing he can do about it. Being gay was something brave people are, people who stand in the front, who aren’t afraid to look at hate in the eye, those who run away to be themselves, not caring the difficulties they might face on the way, those who hold hands and link arms and rest heads on each other’s shoulders, who found a community, who found people like them, and who aren’t letting go, who are protecting each other. And Henry, Henry was a coward. Would he be able to do that, to return home with a bloody nose and a broken arm, and still find the courage to wake up the next morning and know to have been in the right? To not regret it? Would Henry have accepted the fight, stood in the front of a revolution, or would he have hidden away, and watched from the sidelines?
Henry is proven wrong about being a coward, he’s brave, so brave, but he doesn’t see it.
Through the book, Henry begins to hope, to want to come out. Begins trusting himself, believing in himself. He stands up for himself, he won’t be locked away anymore, he will find a key, or he will make it himself.
Henry goes from someone hidden away to someone proud, unapologetic, and free.
Henry is unapologetically gay, and it took some time to get there, but he is, and he’s now helping other people on their journey to pride.

Just some thought's I had abt the current situation: (Tw: political thinking & some existential thinking.) (This is the ONLY time I will say smthn like this I promise. (I don't really like politics in general or rlly at all >_<))
-Kat's: "Oh shit, we're doomed." thoughts-
You may share, repost, and spread this post around ONLY IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT TRUMP. Please do not do so if you support his greedy ass, thank you for understanding in advance. IN ADVANCE TO ADD ON AS WHAT WAS SAID BELOW ORIGINALLY, DO NOT REPLY IF YOU SUPPORT HIM, THANK YOU.
If trump gets the dictatorship he wants we are all royally fucked.
If trump wins he WILL remove the rights of minorities, he WILL ruin the progress people have already made in terms of equality for minorities.
I ain't stayin if this place is being ruled by a cheeto king (Not my fault he made himself look like a cheeto ✨)
Trump is to say the least- I wouldn't put it past him in turning around and backstabbing our country as soon as he gains control over it.
As someone related to the big H man in history, I gotta admit, I don't rlly want a dictatorship.
Having a xenophobic and racist president would be hell for quite a lot of people.
Having a transphobic, sexist, ableist, and homophobic president would be hell for many.
Having a dictatorship is like erm, going back to the older days if you know what I mean, and it feels icky and disgusting in every way possible istg.
A rich person who only supports other rich people and treats non-rich people shitty; would not be such a great president, no offense to people out there.
If I were 18 rn I'd be voting for the poc presidential candidate, who's a woman, and supports minorities, and supports the people currently in very bad living situations.
Trump only cares about HIMSELF, he wants to live like a king, that is quite the opposite of what America was built on.
Do we really want someone as greedy, untrustworthy, selfish, and cruel as that in control- (To say the least I am genuinely a bit worried abt him potentially winning the election...) (Do not reply to this post or interact with me at all if you support Trump, are homophobic, ableist, transphobic, sexist, racist, etc, thank you. Idc that you support him or think that what he is doing is at all right, because it isn't right, I will remove your message if you come attacking me for saying what genuinely think abt this situation.) (And before people come in saying this or that is "perfect" or "the right way": * Keep in mind, nothing in this life is "perfect", there are always imperfections, there is always something uneven or not perfectly lined up, absolutely nothing is set in stone, nothing is a perfectly carved edge, there is always a crack somewhere, always a dent here or there, always a mistake in one place or another, I will never believe that anything in life is truly perfect, not for as long as I live. Because the truth about life, is that it will always be; wild, unpredictable, random, and imperfect. No one controls the outcome, every variable influences the hands of time, every variable is a random chance to affect. * Technically; nothing is "the right way to do things", since all things are technically just made up from this person, that person, or our ancestors, the "right way" you believe in is usually based on opinion or what you have been taught, heck, every word in the dictionary has been made up by someone else, somewhere else, at some point in time or history. It's all just opinions, beliefs made by those before you, and things you have been taught, people make their own choices in life and that is how it goes. You may believe in one thing, and support this person in life or that person, but do not expect or force everyone to do the same. ) (DO NOT: attack me for anything on this post, I mean it. Ty for understanding ^ ^ ! (Includes forcing opinions abt if you support Trump, and why you think I should think the same as you, listen: I DO NOT CARE! I won't support him, and never will, for various reasons, end of story.))
You MAY repost this post and spread it around IF, and ONLY IF, you do not support trump !

EVERYONE LISTEN UP, THIS IS IMPORTANT!
I'm going to talk about the history of Tumblr, the current state of Tumblr, and why you should get out.
And you can call me a hypocrite, sure. But as an artist who depended a lot on commissions and art sales, I only came back to Tumblr because this is where the audience and active fandoms are. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't be here.
So, you've probably heard people calling tumblr "the queerest place on the internet". Probably more ironically that sincerely, lately. But the reason for this is that, at one point, it was true. Tumblr was synonymous with gay shit, all over the internet. That was this site's reputation. To the point that what the right wingers call "woke" these days, used to be called "tumblr shit". Tumblr was the BIGGEST resource for LGBT+ communities, information, advice and connection. That was here, on this site. Ask boxes thrived with friendship and fun games, artists got regular commissions and their work was shared. And, as much of a cliche as it may be to say this, Tumblr was a 'safe space'.
Then everything changed in 2018. I don't know how many of you were here for that, but that's when all this started. That's when we had porn bots. They'd start reblogging random posts, adding pictures of straight up porn. Naked people, straight up fucking. No tags, no warnings. Just uncensored porn and those stupid "click here to fuck me" captions. They were everywhere, constantly. And staff did nothing about it. No moderation, no kind of adding verification or new accounts. They just let the problem fester. Why should they care? Until they were threatened with being kicked off the app store, at least. Then they moved to do something about it.
So, instead of pulling together a human moderation team, or temporarily limiting new accounts, or doing any kind of intuitive policing of these spam bots, they just decided to make a blanket ban of all NSFW content, the enforcing of which would be carried out by AI bots. This, as you can probably guess, was a monumental failure. Anything that remotely looked like naked flesh was tagged as mature (a particularly infamous example features a picture of sand dunes being tagged as mature). And perhaps most tellingly of this failure, it didn't get rid of porn bots.
What it did get rid of though, was artists. Myself included. I was a mature artist. I had a NSFT sideblog. I sold commissions, I made money. It wasn't exactly career level, but I made enough that commissions helped me to eat when all my money went on bills. Then that was gone. Even SFW art wasn't entirely safe, because if the bot decided that your art had too much "skin" in it, you were flagged. (And at the time, I drew a lot of Jojo art, so I was screwed on that front.) So I had to leave. To find a new site where I could post my art, and try to continue selling commissions. The problem with this? Only a handful of people followed me offsite. I had roughly 300 followers on here. About 5 came with me to twitter. And then about 2 came with me to pillowfort. I had lost everything. Artists all over lost their following, lost their support, lost their income. All because people couldn't be bothered to boycott their funny fandom website.
But that wasn't all. Because now staff saw they had an opportunity. This bot they had created, was going around flagging anything mature, sometimes outright deleting posts or banning blogs that were too 'NSFT'. So... What group is often inherently seen as NSFT or sexualised? Yep, you guessed it. The queer community. And so that's what they did. They struck it all down. The biggest LGBT community on the internet, and they used the "porn ban" excuse to start flagging and deleting blogs. Never touched the nazi blogs, or the white supremacists, or that one blog that would doxx gay people in homophobic countries. Nope, they were left alone. But the most prominent, notable and well known queer blogs were gone. And again, the majority of the userbase was ok with this. They stayed.
I left this site for 5 years. And I tried to make it work elsewhere, I really did. I went to twitter. But over there nobody retweets work, nobody comments on your art. I only had like 2 regular supporters. I haven't gained followers in YEARS. Literally the only reason I still post to twitter is because Airdorf retweets FAITH fanarts. I tried going to pillowfort, which is honestly like a BETTER version of Tumblr. But, it was empty. Nobody was there. I even offered to give out free invite links to pillowfort so other people could join up too! Nobody ever responded to me. So I gave up. After 5 years with almost no interaction, almost no commission sales. No friends, nobody to talk to, nothing to do, nowhere to go... I came back here. And interaction is so much better (even though it's still a struggle to get people to actually talk to me). But I hate being here because I know what this site is like.
Also I know how complacent people are. The things they did back then, they're still doing now. Flagging trans women as mature, straight up banning them for no reason, spreading around campaigns of hate. Its STILL happening. And you're all still here sitting "oh this is awful, this website is transphobic" and then go back to reblogging memes. I saw a poll recently that asked what people would do if tumblr closed down or kicked them out, and the majority answer was just "give up social media completely" and it's like, really? There are plenty of alternatives out there. Artists and creators, and LGBT activists and whoever have been BEGGING you to join us, but you just wont. People would rather sit in this sinking ship till it goes down than make the leap and follow us into the lifeboats.
And I'm saying this again now because there have been talks about tumblr making a deal with midjourney. Because they want to feed all our art, our selfies, our hard work into the AI slop machine. So history is repeating itself again, and once more artists will be begging you to please come with us. Please get off this site. Please come to a place that isn't actively trying to get rid of us.
Me... I'll be staying here as long as I'm able because this is the only place I have any kind of audience. But if you can, if you care about friends, if you care about artists, if you care about queer people. PLEASE come with us. If the worst comes to it, then I'll be leaving for pillowfort. Please, PLEASE come with me. I have invitations, I can send you one so you can join. Send me a message and ask me. Just please, don't die with this place.

why would i want to connect with a shitty person#why do YOU want to connect with a shitty person i'm not a therapist i'm not a magical leprechaun that'll take them on a journey of self-discovery and reevaluation of life choices if they're shitty they're shitty. they can work on that themselves but i don't have to 'connect' with them to hold their hands while they do
'your circle of acquaintances must be small' not all countries are murrikka
Oh, honey.
The thing about Tumblr is that, as amazing as it is for fandom and self-discovery, it is very much not real life. The things I would recommend for a good experience here — liberal blocking, curating your bubble, ignoring trolls — is not good advice for dealing with real humans in real life.
In my tags that you’re referencing, I said the shittiest person you know is still a person. And if you stop seeing people as flawed but real humans, you lose all chance of connecting with them, and then you lose any chance of productive change, for either of you.
Here’s something I’ve struggled with my whole life and that I’ve learned from my mother: you cannot shame and rage a bigot out of being a bigot, and an isolated bigot will stay a bigot forever.
My mom is an amazing woman. She was raised in the racist and homophobic Southern Baptist Church in the U.S. Deep South and was closeted for half of her life. She’s suspected she’s autistic or ADHD, because she was always different in ways that being gay didn’t really explain. And because of that, and because her family were a bunch of assholes, she was singled out for physical abuse amongst her siblings.
To get away from that, she married basically the first dude she thought she could get her out, and then spent another decade or two being abused by that asshole. When she was finally free of him, she managed to keep my brother and I alive, despite the best efforts of my father to interfere. We were still living in the South and teenagers when she came out, despite how dangerous it still was for a divorced woman with minors to be openly lesbian.
I tell you all of this so that you understand the kind of shit she’s had to deal with her whole life. In my opinion, she would have been justified to cut her family out of her life, to leave the bigots in her home town in the dust of their own decrepit prejudice forever, and deliver an epic smackdown whenever a bigot tries her.
But she doesn’t. I’ve watched her go to the same hairdresser (her cousin, because in these towns everyone is related to each other somehow) who’d make ignorant comments about gay people while she did my mom’s hair and slowly help her change by being kind and vulnerable and asking honest questions about why her cousin thought those things.
I’ve seen her do this with countless people, countless times — “oh, what makes you say that? Did you know I’m gay? We’ve known each other for years, have I ever made you uncomfortable? You’ve always been my friend, so I know you love me and wouldn’t say that about me. I know you have a very strong faith, here’s what I’ve read in the Bible about that. You’re a very loving person, I know you care more about people than that thing you just said shows.”
And it works! I’ve seen so many people change for the better because of their relationships with my mom, and I’ve come to realize that this is probably the only way for people *to* change — through patience, kindness, and genuine connection.
This is really hard to do. These kinds of conversations require you to be present and be vulnerable, to be willing to find common ground with someone who seems so different from you and who believe things about you that are hurtful and untrue.
Although this seems to be my mom’s approach somehow, every single time, she’s had a lifetime of being herself and being *confident* in herself, and of practicing these kind of vulnerable conversations. So I’m not saying you can or should do this with everyone you meet.
Some people won’t be ready, and some people won’t be safe. And because it takes time and patience, you might not have the opportunity to do this in a way that will really help someone grow. But I’ve seen a surprising number of people who only needed someone who’s willing to take a chance on them, to really connect with them, become better people.
You can’t hate someone else — or yourself — into being a better person. But you can love them through it.
#genie’s stuff#we can’t just give up on everyone#connection and care are the only ways to bridge divides#we can do hard things

got the tldr of the vid that I'm Not Watching All That & somewhat amusing how the straw breaking the camel's back for people over James Somerton is his blatant and unashamed plagiarism (as it should be genuinely i don't think you can nor should recover from this) like he hasn't regurgitated for years vile, unempathetic, ahistorical and Purely Just Wrong information about gay history including about the fight for legal same-sex marriage in the US and the AIDS crisis. like an alarming amount of people truly heard his ass say "all the good fun funky artistic and radical gays died of aids and all those who were left were unfun stuck-up prudes and conservatives also the fight for legal same-sex marriage was an assimilationist ploy by the latter who just wanted big gay weddings" as if the gay men who survived the epidemic didn't literally lose lovers and friends and entire communities and long-term partners who they shared a life with and who were denied any crumb of this previous life at their death because there was no legal recognition for same-sex cohabitation and unions and their homophobic family could tear everything from the surviving partner thanks to this lack of recognition and let it slide.
some people out there were truly so eager to shit on the boring assimilationist prude gays who survived aids by being stuck-up prudes and who just wanted "big gay weddings" they made up in their minds to get mad at that they turned their brains off and let it slide. they could've used their smoothed-out brains for ONE minute & found out that surviving took 1) plain boring luck and 2) radical, loud, proud gay activists campaigning for safe/safer sex and the information campaigns they led, as well as the protests and demonstrations they undertook to make the government fucking care for once. and that legally-recognized unions [be they civil or religious] were a matter of survival for the partner left behind. some people out there truly let a business major with a turtleneck (possibly the definition of boring) passing himself off as cool and radical and an intellectual tell them homophobic bullshit. and did not blink. like OF COURSE this guy's gonna be a plagiarist. he needs to get his information from SOMEWHERE. because when he tries to formulate his own stuff it's complete fabrications or the frankensteining of multiple sources that he manages to misunderstand/misrepresent threefold over. trying to fit a knit sock over the foot with the inside out and wonder why that itches.
i know many people in his audience are likely very young and also likely american and as such did most of their growing up in a world where their country (1 out of 195. give or take.) had legalized gay marriage but i cannot even begin to describe 1) how Young legalized gay wedding is, even in ""the west"" and 2) how many. other countries there are. my country legalized same-sex marriage before the US did. i am not even 25 and i still remember the hordes of catholics marching down the streets chanting homophobic slogans, implying the only reason two mommies or two daddies would want to raise a child together is for nefarious, vile purposes. i still remember families having to drag their asses into court to argue that, yes, a woman who raised a child for its whole life with another woman she's in a long-term committed cohabitated relationship with should have the right to be considered a direct guardian even if she's not biologically related to the child, and spending thousands of bucks having to argue their case in court. this might be shocking to some, but there are countries where homosexuality is punishable by death. in others, not by death, but by imprisonment. in others, not by imprisonment, but by ""medical intervention"". in others, not by ""medical intervention" but by fines. and in some others still, you can be gay (yay!) but you still cannot get married or civil-unioned, and the very same shit that was discussed in the 80s is still discussed now. the right to stay a guardian of your partner's child if your partner dies or is ill, so the kid does not go into foster care. the right to inherit your partner's property according to married rights instead of having through long annoying time- and money-consuming legal processes. the right to arrange your partner's funeral or have a say in their medical choices if they're incapacitated instead of their (potentially homophobic) families.
like We Are Not There Yet. we are not in a world where any homosexual can truly, fully, wholeheartedly assimilate, whether you consider it a good thing or not. fun gay artists and boring uninteresting gay office workers die the same death that we all do. the one you don't wake from. and guess what. all types of homosexuals, regardless of which ones you pick and choose to be mad at, are affected by homophobic legislation. not just the ones you think should be spared because they're oh so fun. and oh so radical.
donate to the rainbow railroad org if you can. they help LGBT+ people escape state-sponsored violence. a singular nail on one of their members' hand does more activism and real-life good than any mfer making video essays could do in his entire life.
#also were the two gay male writers who died of AIDS who's shit you stole of the ''fun artistic gays'' or the boring ones? you seem to like#their stuff enough to steal. you want their talent their eloquence and their presence; which is missed; sooo bad you look stupit!#also gay people have always gotten married. privately; clandestinely; in secret; in shame often.#gay people have had commitment ceremonies for as long as we've had partners.#like even if some of us did want ''big gay weddings''. by all means cope and seethe that no one wants your hand in marriage#and to dedicate their lives to you as you do to them publicly; to the world's face. but that's a skill issue.#not making this shit rebloggable i'm just complaining about the guy. have disliked him for a while for this ^ & also his fabrication of#how Radclyffe Hall's trial actually went. like you can literally wikipedia this shit.#unrelated me and my dad have this joke where when i feel like my academic life is not too great/i maybe should have done something else#i go ''well i might have gone to the Unemployment Factory; but at least i'm not a Business Student [shocked face] [retching face]''#and my dad hysterically laughs. all of the worst people he's ever met had been business students once.#anyways. allmother mother of all great priestess of dishing out Ls to the deserving#thank you for having taken this man down in such a glorious colossal blaze. CHEH!#neigh (blabbers)

I really don’t understand what this conversation about gay rights in Palestine is even trying to achieve. As is often pointed out, homosexuality is severely frowned upon in Israel, and gay marriage is not legalized. That’s where the conversation should end. While Palestine is its own country with its own laws and culture, they have far more pressing matters at hand than worrying about what we here in the west think of their progress, like surviving a hostile and deadly Zionist occupation. Just this week Israel infiltrated an aid camp in Gaza in a vehicle disguised as a part of a humanitarian convoy and slaughtered civilians. It is actually unbelievable to me that people are still discussing gay rights among a civilization that’s being massacred in front of our eyes.
Also you’ve got to wonder why so few people are talking about Ukranian gay rights, and it has nothing to do with the fact that they’re a bit more progressive on the idea. It’s that they’re viewed as a civil, western country whereas Palestine is considered just another backwards Islamic nation. Nevermind that Russia and Israel are at least just as homophobic as some Middle Eastern nations, or that the real throughline that connects them is authoritarianism rather than one religious practice or another.
I don’t think that its really gay people bringing up these issues, I think it’s conservatives trying to weaponize our ideals against the people of Palestine. Don’t let them, because the US Government certainly doesn’t care about sending military aid to countries who are severely authoritarian and homophobic (like Israel).
