"Hey-- uh, Danny?" There's an almost imperceptible tremor in Tucker's voice.

Danny doesn't look up from what he's doing, his pencil scritching across his notebook as he tries to do another quadratic formula question. "Hm."

"What's -- uh -- what's with the dogs?"

He looks up now, and finally sees where Tucker is -- standing in the doorway of his room with an ashy look on his face and a skewed, nervous smile. He's got a white knuckle grip on the doorknob. Sam is wide-eyed behind him, and using him as a partial meat-shield.

Danny looks down to the two giant ghost wolves sprawled next to him lazily. One large green one with his head in Danny's lap, letting him use him as a prop-up for his notebook. Another equally large black one splayed against his hip, sleeping on her side with her head tilted inward to his calf.

Automatically, a grin tilts across Danny's face, and he lifts his notebook up to scratch behind the green one's ears. He opens a lazy eye, one that is bloody red with a ring of yellow around the pupil, before slipping it shut and leaning his head into Danny's touch. "This is Sirius and Procyon," he says, and reaches down to scratch Sirius' belly. "And they're not dogs, they're wolves."

"Great," Tucker says, his voice suddenly much smaller and faint, "Love that distinction."

Sirius makes a great big groan, and Danny's grin widens, his heart swelling with fondness. His hand slips away from her belly, and before he can put his notebook back down, Procyon pushes his head up his lap until his ear is against his stomach, demanding pets now too.

Sam peeks her head up from over Tucker's shoulder, "I think what Tucker's asking here is what are they doing here, Danny."

He shrugs, scratching under Procyon's chin. "They kinda just showed up. I tried sending them back to the Zone, but they keep returning." And they were weirdly intent on just following him around, which is the only reason he gave up on returning them. They weren't causing trouble, and they knew how to hide around the living. Plus, he just loves dogs. "So now I have two wolves living with me."

This, oddly enough, did not do anything to calm Sam and Tucker down. Tucker's mouth purses into a thin line, and he presses the sides of his palms to his lips in prayer. "How have your parents not found out about this?"

Danny wordlessly raises his hand, and his sleeve slides down to reveal a thin chain bracelet hooked around his wrist. He whistles sharply, and both Procyon and Sirius jerk their heads up to look at him, ears pricked up and eyes alert.

Silently, he points to his wrist and rattles it twice, and in unison both wolves stand up and pounce. Instantly, they turn into a respective, opaque black and green mist that swirls around the bracelet and forms into two, flat wolf charms.

Both wolves are posing in the stereotypical wolf howl, with little stars indented on the sides. Procyon's charm has the Canis Minor constellation engraved on it, while Sirius has the Canis Major.

Danny faces Sam and Tucker, and points at his wrist. "Like this."

I hate it. I dislike fanon Killermare a lot more though. I have found a few interpretations I can maybe like, but most I have found do not do Killer’s character any justice whatsoever and frankly I just feel Nightmare ugly ass doesn’t deserve Killer and he should keep his funky disgusting tentacles away from him. And I don’t see any reason why theyd be interested in eachother beyond a power dynamic.

We all know Manfred von Karma is a perfectionist, and in almost every his line we are reminded of it. He even set his ATM card number to 0001. So an ummovable object in terms of superiority complex

I like the Japanese version of this moment as well if not more, though. There, Manfred's card number is 4649 which by the rules of Japanese wordplay means yoroshiku or "nice to meet you". He also points that this is not an actual date (thanks). It makes him look like a lot more whimsical guy who just isn't 100% of time serious, which I'd personally take over the "hee hee I'm number 1" thing (because let's be real, it's not that funny and falls a bit flat)

It's a really minor detail, but where else people are gonna pick up some bits about Manfred's personality aside from being a perfectionist asshole? Even for a cartoonish villain MVK is often positioned as it's really interesting to peek into other sides of his personality

Time to think about how alone the pale king was when he died. He had lost everything. His kingdom yes, but even his closest relationships.

His trusted friends, who became dreamers, gave up their lives and all for a hopeless cause. His wife was driven away by her guilt and her grief. His child who he had learned to love, he sacrificed for nothing.

Almost every character that we know of who had a personal relationship with PK had either been sacrificed or had left him.

And of course all of it was his own doing. (At least largely his own doing.)

I think it’s really interesting how in some ways it seems Mizu never gets found out as a woman partly because it’s so inconceivable that she would be. With expectations and gender roles being what they were at the time, she presents herself as male, and nobody questions it after. Like, nobody is looking for gaps in her disguise. At no point is anybody piecing together the small details that could give her away, because no one’s looking for it. Take the prostitutes in episode one, who touch her and try to persuade Mizu to patronise their establishment, who are as familiar with bodies as anyone is likely to be, notice nothing. Mizu is purposefully dressed in loose and concealing clothing, and behaving and acting as male. For all intents and purposes is male. Nobody is looking or expecting her to be anything else; it’s close to unthinkable. And while she’s very practised and there are times where you can hear her modulate her voice, and there are scenes where she noticeably deepens it, by nature she does not have a particularly deep voice. But people of all genders have a variety of voices and nobody questions it, everybody just goes eh he’s a soft spoken man with a raspy voice, that’s all. There are multiple moments where I thought Akemi was going to make the leap, from the things Mizu talk to her about, but she doesn’t. It simply doesn’t seem to occur to her, that this man might be anything but. Ringo even strips her down to her chest bindings to sew up her injuries after her fight with the Fangs, and while there’s a screen up, Taigen is right there. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Taigen could have seen her chest bindings, but he never comments on it and it doesn’t seem to raise any questions. And while it’s strongly suggested that Sword Father noticed, he keeps it quiet and to himself, so far as not even wanting Mizu to tell him about it, but Taigen is impulsive and impetuous; if he’d made that leap, he would have spoken it. But at no point does it seem to even enter his mind as a possibility, not even when they wrestle later on, not even when they are locked so closely together. Likewise, Blood Soaked Chiaki, whose sneering comment that she was “soft for a boy” prompts her to begin binding in the first place, doesn’t seem the kind of character who would have kept the secret, even he doesn’t seem to make the leap. Like, while he taunts her with “still soft,” when they meet again, he makes no reference to her sex or gender identity. The way the societal idea of the expression of gender and gender roles and expectations is so strong in the other characters that in a twisted way it kinda aids Mizu in the keeping of her secret; often as not, it simply doesn’t occur to them to wonder

I relate to Sanji too much because it really does seem like he’s adopted the mentality that physical and mental abuse is a form of significant affection but only directed towards himself, like he sees it’s wrong and unjust when other people are being abused, but when he’s the victim he feels this conflicted sense of I deserve it and Wow they love me so much! It’s heartbreaking just to think about tbh

anyway to end the series on ganondorf tp's writing, my take (which isn't canon but arguable as a valid "death of the author" read imo) is that he is at his most iredeemable AND that's because he has zero things left to lose and no community left and his goal doesn't even make sense anymore he is parasitic and a ghost and pathologically obsessed by his own godlike legitimacy because that is the only thing he still has and it has prolonged his life in a horrible diminished state in a nightmare dimension so SURELY it must mean something right right RIGHT
