I think we need to talk about the fact that two of Mafuyu's trained cards depict her as a nurse, but that's the only thing they really have in common.

Because looking at them next to each other, you can really see a difference. And I don't mean design wise or anything like that. I'm very specifically talking about Mafuyu herself.

The first has her tangled in vines and thread. Like she's being held down, wouldn't you agree?? Everything behind her is bright and blending in together. Her uniform is also light (in the trained card). And when you see what it actually looks like, different shades of gray (some with purple tones) it feels clear that she's being affected by thet white light. It gives off the feeling of "This is good. This is good for you. Your clothing are a pristine and light in color. The flowers, leaves and vines are all bright, making them beautiful."

And the way she's sitting looks almost as if she was either forced onto the ground or like she wants to escape but doesn't know how. She's stuck. And again, with the vines and thread, she's being held down. Trapped. And just looking at her face, she looks like she wants to cry. Like she wants to cut/snap those vines and threads holding her down but can't.

But the second? She's so much happier in the second. The room is darker but the lighting still makes it bright. But rather than bright white like the first, it's blue. She's on the ground, but she isn't struggling. She's wearing brighter colors. Her uniform is blue. Like, actually blue. Blue and pink. And considering when this takes place. After she opens up about her feelings. After she runs away. After she tells her dad what she wants and how she feels, and unlike her mom, who tried to guilt and manipulate her, he apologized...

It doesn't surprise me that in her second trained nurse card she looks happy. She looks like things are looking up. Like things can be better. Like maybe she can be who she wants to be. She's on the floor but nothing is tying her down anymore. She isn't struggling anymore.

In short: it looks like she's healing.

Firmly believe that if Ford had joined the Henchmaniacs, he and Pyronica would’ve instantly become besties. Ford finds out she’s a quantum physics genius who burned her city to the ground when she didn’t receive the proper appreciation she so rightfully deserved and is like “oh she’s just like me fr.” They would’ve been a “two queens maximizing their joint slay” dynamic for the ages.

Hiram's brain is so imbued vith violant that he can't experience deja-vus anymore. Recollections of events that happened before his incident are sometimes vague and hazy (like childhood memories), but in general he either visualises everything clearly or he doesn't remember, no in between.

During the first years after the incident he began to remember things he thought he had forgotten, and wasn't able to forget them again until he became a Midnighter and learned to use the Rites of st Joshua to keep the constant remembrance at bay. His memories are always vivid, and he still has flashback from time to time, but deja-vus are too vague to disrupt his eidetic cognitive process. Except for the Woods in Winter. That's the only thing that gives him a distinctive sense of deja-vu. Not only the location, but anything related to it as well.

He remembers Vienna, his friends, and the ballrooms extremely vividly (like many other cities, people and ballrooms he visited in his life), but when he thinks about the Vienna Woods, he always gets a deja-vu. The same thing happens when he thinks about snowy forests.

To this day, he still doesn't know where or when exactly he heard Tales from the Vienna Woods for the first time. Which is weird, because it became popular after he had the incident, he should be able to remember it clearly. He's sure there was a snowy path, and he heard the zither part somewhere, but it's not possible because he was already in the Neath. It can't have happened in Vienna, or in the Vienna Woods, because he was there ten years before the waltz was composed. And yet, the waltz reminds him of the woods and the woods remind him of the waltz. He's more than sure at this point that the two memories coincide but it doesn't make sense. Maybe they're both a memory of a dream.

He knows the Lady in Lilac said something to him about the Woods, and about dreams. The Lady in Lilac always reminds him of winter for some reason. Maybe it's not her that reminds him of winter, but the thing she said? Whatever it was he's sure there was a palace in the Woods, and a waltz was coming from there. He was standing by a window, looking at the snow outside, in the cold and dim light of the Woods. He dreams of it pretty often. When he wakes up he always feels like the dream happened before. It's driving him crazy because he felt that same light again on the Roof. The Library's windows gave him the same sense of deja-vu, and he dreamed of the Woods even when he was in Naples, in a False Timeline.

It may be silly to get excited over like 2 seconds of animation in a 6 second clip, but IDC I cannot believe I got spy to shake out his cigarette that smoothly and it was actually fun to do. Funner than it usually is. I can't believe I ever forsook you Graph Editor, I used to be so barbaric. Like he actually followed the keyframes I put instead of doing his own thing and dismembering himself into thin pieces without me having to wrangle him. Actual pose-to-pose and not solely relying on the mental images blasted into my eyelids is FIRE

I used to only love lipsync a lot but now I kind of want to animate a lot of movement!! But I can't most of the plan is to have spy and sniper looking angstily at each other over the bassline, oh the horrors! Whatever it's fine, until I have to do lighting which will be the true horror

mizuki is so fucking funny about rui cause like after he graduated she was like oh fuck this sucks so bad i really did like being around him huh…? and in like escape she acknowledges this again, that she really really did like having him around and it sucked when he left back then. and then you think about how like 80% of their screentime in the present has been mizuki actively shutting out his every attempt at reaching out to her on an emotional level. every conversation has been like: “[silly back and forth] rui: btw are you okay? mizuki: haha. i actually have to leave. immediately. byeeeee.” she like to date has not hung out with him outside of school on purpose. which sounds really specific but is also very much not a high bar to clear. in fact there is an instance in which she actively chooses not to invite him and didn’t even consider inviting him until an pointed him out as an option. every single one of their area conversations are them bumping into each other. the fucking difference between middle school and him being her 6th favourite reason to live to now, a walking talking sense of nostalgia she feels like an exposed nerve around. it never gets old. girl what is your fucking issueeee (i know her issue). i love her. god.

Is it cathartic for Sheep to finally tell Caribou she hates him?

Very. She doesn't really get a long AM style monologue in, but she does revel in the satisfaction of his shock when she twists around and claws him in the face, the way he stammers out meekly why?! and manages to briefly rip into him as he's cornered. She's one of the cats tasked with separating all the Saints when the big ambush happens. Cariboucall manages to get away, though actually flees the camp when he sees cats dragging the slaughtered bodies of the other Saints out into the camp clearing.

How fortunate am I to have so many Things to love and be excited about, to appreciate and look forward to?

Things I feel so strongly about that they stumble into my mind, univited, at random times of the day? Things that spill into my speech and vocabulary without me noticing? Things that impact my vision to the point where everywhere I look, everywhere I go, I see ghosts of them?

How lucky am I to have so many Things I love and cherish enough for them to reshape my very person, change my beliefs and make me grow? Things that make my own loved ones see the Things out in the wild, and go out of their way to make sure I see them too?

How wonderful is it that I have Things that I love so much that the very act is deemed and dubbed "not normal", making my love for them seem like it's more than they are supposed to recieve? An out-of-the-ordinary and above-the-norm appreciation for the Things that make the people around me shake their heads, call me "silly".

My dear, beloved Things, may I always stay silly for you ❤️
