Firmly believe that if Ford had joined the Henchmaniacs, he and Pyronica would’ve instantly become besties. Ford finds out she’s a quantum physics genius who burned her city to the ground when she didn’t receive the proper appreciation she so rightfully deserved and is like “oh she’s just like me fr.” They would’ve been a “two queens maximizing their joint slay” dynamic for the ages.
#gravity falls#stanford pines#pyronica#ford tells her about how rudolph should’ve burned santa’s workshop to the ground and she’s like ‘where have you been all my life’#i am weirdly invested in this but ford’s flaws are my very favorite and the similarities here are great#as a lifelong champion for women’s wrongs pyronica is my kinda gal#and imagining dark side!ford is so much fun#i mean- the amount of crimes he committed during his dimensional escapades amused me#esp how he managed to make excuses for them#not sure how counting cards on lottocron 9 was part of his ‘noble’ goals but whatever#god I love hypocritical characters they’re endlessly amusing#tbob#the book of bill#the only woman who could keep him in check fr cause the minute he says something misogynistic she burns his ass to a crisp#god i can imagine how it would go down: ford saying soemthig shitty and pyronica’s like ‘I’m women actually’ and ford going ‘lol get real’#and then he’s just…vaporized#i can’t get swept away by this…i do not have the time to write it

❝ 𝐘/𝐍 𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐘𝐎 𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐔𝐏! You have two minutes till showtime.” Your manager, AKA, older brother, barged and announced to you like he didn’t update you almost five minutes ago.
You did your usual of sucking your teeth and rolling your teeth every time he barged in and interrupted your call, you replied with annoyance in your tone, “AJ I know! Can you wait a minute? Damn, so impatient for absolutely no reason.”
“I’m sorry who’s the one with hundreds of thousands of fans screaming their name and waiting for their ass outside? Me or you? Oh okay. Anyways, end yo little call with yo boyfr-”
“He’s not my boyfriend!” You interrupted, becoming irritated with your brother and simply wanted him to shut the fuck up. A great manager and brother, yet way too uptight for his job.
AJ rolled his eyes and muttered something but you flipped him off and pretended not to hear him until he left your dressing room. You gave your attention back to your phone, giving a cheeky smile to the blonde boy on your screen. From the corner of his eye, he noticed a nervous look growing on you but from what you could tell, he was choosing what shirt to wear to his photoshoot. Leaving him to be seen with a no top on and a pair of denim jeans.
Though it was typical to see your best friend’s exposed upper body, it was a sight you never got used to. His well-toned body, results from years of playing basketball in middle and high school, making your face hot, adding on to the nervousness you were already facing from your upcoming performance. Along with the pearly white smile he flashed at you creating a sick feeling in your stomach, something that you made you clench onto it and try to ignore. Now was not the time to be drooling over your best friend, who interrupted your stare with a laugh and said, “Are you gonna keep staring or are you gonna take a picture?”
Of course, he’d ruin it with some cocky line like that, you rolled your eyes and sucked your teeth. “Boy calm down, ain’t nobody wanna was staring.”
“Your nervous face said otherwise.”
“Akekeke, don’t you have a photoshoot to go to?”
Kise replied with the same energy as yours, “And don’t you have a performance to go to?”
You held up a finger to a screen then crossed your arms, “Aht aht, don’t worry about me now. Worry about yo lil pictures with that famous ass Russian model.” You wanted to roll your eyes just thinking about the brought-up woman but it would make it seem like you’re being jealous for no reason.
Kise let out a small laugh, adoring the irritated look that was starting to creep up on your face. “Somebody sounds jealous.”
You rolled your eyes and let out a scoff, “Oh please, like I would be.” You looked at the time on your watch and noticed it was about one minute until your performance. Your eyes widened at the time and hurried, you quickly ended the call with Kise, “Shit, fuck! I gotta go perform but I’ll call you back when I’m done.”
“And I’ll be waiting for you beautiful when you get back.” The golden-eyed boy winked at you yet you cringed and scrunched your face. “You’re so fucking corny Kise.” You hung up the call, grab any other pieces missing from your outfit, and headed out of your dressing room.
You traveled quickly around backstage, passing by many coworkers and background dancers waiting for you, to head into the small tunnel for artists to come out on stage. You stopped at the exit and gulped as you scanned the stage. An outside arena with hundreds of thousands of fans cheering your name, waiting for your appearance.
Usually, you would be at ease with concerts this large but for some reason this time is different. Unknowing the reason nor cause, you started to feel anxious, your hands mildly shaking and your throat going dry.
There was something in the back of your mind attempting to not make you perform, something telling you to not do it, it won’t be good, people will hate you. A voice there to influence thoughts, hoping that you would fall into the trap and just give up on singing. Though of course, you wouldn’t listen to that voice, that voice always lingered around whenever you were brought to perform, no matter where you were.
The only thing to distract you and keep you safe from that tiny voice is someone who you’ve longed to love. One who just settles your nerves, bringing comfort, and removing all anxious thoughts. One who would deem you as one of the greatest artists he’s ever listened to, maybe it’s opinionated but he loves you too much to disagree.
The now dawdling thought of his soft voice whenever he spoke or his flirtatious nature when you two joked around made a familiar feeling grow greater than before. Something replaced the anxiousness that was growing, a feeling that replaced the nervousness and calmed your shaky hands. Something that was the thought of Ryota Kise, he was like the medicine to all the pain you’ve suffered. A remedy to your anxiety, one of the many causes of the cheeky smile social media often sees you with.
Someone who you grew up and spent all your life with, always noticing how protective he was of you or the way he hummed one of your pre-recorded tracks that he was the only one to listen to. Celebrating one of your songs had hit #1 on the Billboard chart and the way he helped out whenever you hit writer’s block.
Every single thing, noticeable or not, made you grown to love the boy, starting from a platonic, playground friendship blooming to many years of trying to figure out if you are romantically in love with him. Growing familiar feelings of butterflies mixed with the thought of just wanting to cup his face and kiss him whenever he was around.
Just the ultimate feeling of wanting to be buried in the blonde boy’s arms and explain the blooming love for him made you want to sing the song you wrote for him. A new single that you never wanted to put out since you wanted only Kise to hear it, including that the song was your way of telling him what you felt all these years.
Though something changed your mind, something in your brain told you to tell everyone around you that you’re singing solo, no backup singers or dancers, only you on that stage. In this performance, you just had to do it yourself, nothing but you, the stage, and the microphone.
Everyone was confused by the last-minute change of plans but went along with it. They rescheduled it to where your first “official” song to start the concert with was right after your solo performance. You gave thanks to your team and took some deep breaths. You made sure your Bluetooth set was on and working properly in your ear, AJ handed you a mic and brushed off any wrinkling from your outfit and any smoothed out your hair. Uptight about his job yet made sure his little sister was looking the greatest for her performances.
You took deep breaths again, shook off any bad nerves, and walked on stage. The already excited crowd enraged and their volume expanded as they saw you stand before them. Everyone waving their signs that said, “I love you y/n!!” or “Y/N is so beautiful!” You waved to the audience and stopped at the middle of the stage, walking closer to the front of the stage as well.
You turned on the mic and tapped it to see if it was working, “Mic check one two, can you guys hear me?” The crowd immediately responded yes, you continued on to talk to them, “Okay good, have been getting technical difficulties with my mic and I really don’t feel like switching mics three times. Anyways, afternoon to all my lovely fans who made it out here or to those that are watching me live. I love you all and thank you for supporting me, I truly am grateful for every single one of y’all.” Everyone screamed out how much they love you and adore you, showing off their merch that they bought and waving the homemade posters.
You smiled at their response and cleared your throat as you introduced the song, “Thank you, I love you too. This first song is one that has been sitting too comfortably in my heart. A piece that came from genuine emotions and feelings I’ve tried to bury yet couldn’t no matter how hard I tried. It’s something that I never planned on dropping but I just felt like the world had to hear what I had to say. Hopefully, you guys enjoy it cause I did when I was writing this song at two in the morning before I snuck into the studio and recorded it. Was it worth it? Definitely. Now I may introduce to you, Not Another Love Song. A contradicting title isn’t it?”
You took a large breath in and out, you took a position as you waited for the beat to drop. As soon as you heard the familiar melody start, you sang, “I don’t wanna mess this up, could it be too much to say I’m in?”
The crowd lowered down and became silent to hear your new single, grasping the beautiful new lyrics you were singing and just vibing along with it.
You yourself were placing emotion as you sang, not noticing how proudly you sang the chorus or how you were smiling at the crowd the entire time. One thing was clouding your mind to even pay attention to those details, the same thing that more than likely pushed you to sing the song.
As you sang, the feelings for your best friend grew stronger, butterflies in your stomach, and the deprivation of his touch grew on you. Not even realizing how much you missed him until you turned initially to smile at AJ and your team yet saw a familiar face appear as well. You questioned it but then turned back to continue singing to the audience, only thinking that mind is playing games with you.
“I'm finna take my time, my mind, my rules. This ain't no crimе makin' love to you, though you ain't say this. But I had a hard time waitin' for you, boy. Like ooh, boy, you, boy. Got me where you want, just gotta say and it's on, it's like, ooh, boy, do you know you got me like where do you go when you're alone?”
As you sang, you noticed the crowd growing silent, their eyes widening, and their jaws dropping. You were utterly confused at was catching their attention, you turned to your team and your brother pointed behind, giving you a goofy smile as well.
You turned around to what was the cause of this silent commotion and right along with everyone else, your jaw drop and your eyes widened. The flirtatious, handsome model that everyone knew of was standing in front of you with a bouquet of roses in his hand. He walked up to you and smiled greatly, closing in the large gap between the both of you.
Seeing him walk closer to you made you want to say forget concert and sing the rest to him. Half of your feeling was already poured out, not even knowing he was listening to all of it. You didn’t think he would even be here since he had a photoshoot, not standing on an outside stage with a bouquet of roses and dressed in casual attire.
He handed you the roses and kissed your forehead, telling you, “Alone with you, away from the world, where else would I be when I’m alone?”
No response came from you, not even a single gasp or a sniffle to signify that you might cry. The way you responded to his presence was something that shocked the arena, everyone watching you on live, your team, and even the two of you yourself. Who would’ve thought you would be bold enough to grab his face and kiss him right then and there? You snaked your arm around his waist and pulled him closer to deepen the kiss. He responded back by wrapping his hands around your shoulders and hugging you tightly, holding onto you to make sure you wouldn’t separate from him.
You pulled back from the kiss and smiled, softly combed his blonde hair, and expressed, “I love you, Kise.” Saying his name like it was something you’ve been aching to say, a name that you’ve buried away yet brought out today. A name that sounded so lovely and romantic when you say it.
Kise expressed as well, “I love you too y/n. I’ve always loved you and I will never stop loving you.” He kissed you again, he removed his hand from your shoulders and trailed around to find your hands. He removed your hands from his waist and instead intertwined them with his.
He felt you smile when he held your hand and smiled back. He stated in between kisses, “You know I’m staying on this stage to hear you finish that song right?”
“It’s fine, I need someone to do my next performance on anyways.” He looked at you and you did nothing but wink and mischievously smiled at him. Kise had a small idea of what he could expect but suppressed it to enjoy the soft moment he wanted between the both of you. A moment that he’ll never forget and a concert that will always be remembered for everyone around you.
彡 it’s like 5 am and I’m tired 🦧 the only thing that kept me up was the fact that I don’t have school plus I loveeeeee kise

[SUMMARY: Rick's daughter Melody cant stop thinking about Negan. The two developing a connection before she learns the truth of what Negan had done to Glenn.]
Smut
Negan and Melody PART TWO
It had been about two weeks since you saw Negan. Two whole weeks yet you couldnt stop replaying what happened between the two of you. Sucking your teeth you cursed at yourself for even continuing to think about what happened. You werent interested to see anymore of Negan, at least that's what you tried convincing yourself. It was hard fighting the thoughts in your head, just how much control you had over Negan for that moment until he climaxed. With a sigh you walked out and decided to help Michonne that day with her daily duties. As you walked past where Negan was held captive, you couldnt help but keep your eyes on the door not having any idea your father would catch you. This was the second time now that your father caught you looking at the jail cell in a strange manner. Brushing it off he went about his day as you did.
Negan continued to wake up each day with a hard on, thinking of you and what you did. Truth be told it was hard for him to ask you to leave when he did, Negan felt comfortable having conversation with you. He appreciated that you didnt treat him like an animal locked away, although you didnt know why he was in the cell, the sight of him in the cell didnt make you treat him any different. He wondered if any bit of you would think of coming by to see him, he wondered if you thought about what you did to him. He replayed it in his head only in his head it didnt end with you leaving. He lay in his bed when he suddenly heard the voice of a man calling your name through his window.
"Hey Melody, wait up!"
You turned to find Fred running towards you. Fred was one of the new guys who entered Alexandria within the last month. Since his arrival you noticed how much he looked at you and how much he would try to talk to you. Being distracted in your head with the whole Negan situation you didnt realize that maybe this guy had a crush on you.
"Where you headed to?" Fred asked out of breath as he caught up to you.
"I'm just going to check on the kids, sometimes I help Anne with the classes."
"Maybe I can accompany you."
Negan frowned as he overheard Fred's suggestion.
"I mean, sure if you want to." You smiled at Fred not having any idea the two of you were being heard.
"You look really cute in that shirt by the way." Negan sat up at Fred's compliment and looked up at the window. He wondered if you were wearing that same black top you had when you came to see him. The same black top that showed just enough of a peak at your plump breasts. He made a dirty look knowing this man was probably thinking the same as him when he saw you in that top. Negan stood up on top of a box and put his ear closer to the window continuing to hear the conversation.
"Thank you," you giggled looking down at your shirt suddenly remembering this had been the same top you wore when you saw Negan. You remembered how he couldnt get his eyes off it.
"You alright?" Fred asked noticing you blank out in thought.
"Yeah of course. Lets go, Fred." You smiled before walking off with him.
"Fred huh" Negan mumbled to himself as he stepped down. It striked a nerve of jealousy in him that he didnt understand. Negan didnt even know who Fred was. He lay back down with his hands behind his head brushing off the matter, well he tried to at least. He knew he had asked you to leave but he wondered if this new guy Fred is what kept you from even trying to see him.
The next day you came outside to find your father and the others holding up the fence in the entrance. A few walkers attempted to make their way in but thankfully they were stopped.
"Melody!" You looked to the side and found Gregory, the same guard that let you in to see Negan the last time calling for you.
"Melody, I need your help-" he suddenly handed you a tray of food and threw a set of keys at you.
"What?"
"I need you to give Negan his food, I have to help with the entrance."
"What? I'm not going in there, my dads not even calling for you." You insisted with confusion.
"Listen they need a hand from the outside, now unless you want to do that just take Negan his stuff I'll be back quick." Before you could respond Gregory ran off making you sigh. The last thing you wanted to do was see Negan. Looking around to make sure nobody would see you, you quickly snuck inside and locked the door behind you. You could feel your heart rate go up as you walked down the dark hall. You found Negan sitting back against the wall reading a book. The sound of you entering made him look up and raise his brows.
"Well look who's back," he spoke in his usual cocky tone as you rolled your eyes.
"Dont flatter yourself, Gregory asked me to do this favor." You shoved the tray under the cell as he put the book down and stood up.
"Now dont tell me you dont want to see me." He teased as he stepped close to the bars.
"I don't." You snapped back.
"Why not? Your boyfriend Fred might get jealous?" He grinned.
"Hes not my boyfriend-wait how do you even-" Negan interrupted you with a deep chuckle.
"What the hell do you care anyways?" You squinted your eyes at him.
"Mmmm..I thought a new man caught your eye, sweetheart."
"Again. What the hell do you care?"
"Maybe I missed you." He slowly licked his bottom lip with a smile. You scoffed rolling your eyes in response.
"I mean I know I told you to leave, doll but shit you broke my heart. Thought youd be back."
"Well you thought wrong." You crossed your arms confidently until he squinted his eyes at you.
"You've been thinking about me too, havent you?" He teased.
"N-no, I havent actually." You lied and you werent even good at it.
"You sure? You don't think about what you did to me? Or better...what I wanna do to you." He spoke seductively watching as your lips parted.
"Because I do. I think of it every fucking day."
You took a deep breath knowing damn well that's exactly what you had been thinking since you last saw him.
"Why are you telling me this?" You whispered slowly.
"Cause I want to fucking see you." He blurt out leaving you silent. Truth was, you wanted to see him too but did your best to fight the thought out of your head.
"Do you?" You asked when you suddenly heard the door open behind you and your heart sunk.
"Melody, what the hell are you doing here?!"
You turned to find your dad angrily walking towards you.
"Dad-" you gasped.
"Oh shit..." Negan muttered to himself with a smirk as he realized who Rick was to you.
"I want you out of here-"
"Dad let me explain!"
"Go to your room. Now!" He yelled so loud it made you jump. Negan frowned hearing you tear up before you ran out of the room leaving only him and your father alone together.
"So that's your daughter, huh?" Rick looked at him with intense eyes afraid to even know what he was thinking of you.
"Pretty girl-"
"Watch your mouth!"
Negan couldnt help but laugh in response, knowing the daughter of the man that has him locked up was the one that jerked him off.
"Its no wonder she likes me-"
"She doesnt like you, dont speak of my daughter."
"Oh but I think she does." Negan responded in a cocky manner.
"Your daughter and I actually got to know each other quite a bit and I think she likes that I dont treat her like a fucking kid. I mean shes not...shes a whole lotta woman." A slow grin appeared on Negans face making Rick bang his gun on the bars.
"I'm going to warn you, when it comes to my daughter you really dont want to cross me." With that being said Rick left the room and ran to find you.
In your room sitting on your bed nervous you knew you would be hearing from your father any minute.
"Stupid Gregory," you muttered to yourself wondering why he let your father get back to the prison first. As you sat staring at the floor your father barged in angrily. Rick stood in place for a moment staring down at you disappointed before he began to speak.
"You're going to have a curfew from now on."
"Dad. I'm already locked in Alexandria-"
"How long have you been seeing Negan?" He cut you off bluntly.
"I havent...today was the first time." You lied making him sigh.
"Melody you have to understand that man is dangerous, hes locked up for a reason."
"And you cant even tell me why." You shot back crossing your arms. Your father stood silent staring down at you, he couldn't bring himself to tell you the truth.
"Melody I'm your father and you should just trust me when I tell you something. That's that. Now stay in your room." He slammed the door as he left making you want to pull your hair out. Angrily you lay back in bed and sighed just wanting the day to be over.
Two days passed and you hadn't really spoken to your father, you had nothing to say. Sitting on your porch you saw your father getting a truck ready to go on another run. The supply run would last over night with the destination being far but they knew where to go. You looked over at where Negan was held and saw Eugene standing in the front before realizing your father was watching you with a warning glare. With a sigh you stood up and went back inside.
Negan overheard Rick and a few others were going to get a few supplies. Yet, he was sure he wouldnt be seeing you for a while now, he knew you would be too afraid to. Eugene came inside to check on him and Negan could always tell how nervous the job made him.
"I gotta ask," Negan began to speak making Eugene tremble.
"Why you out of everyone out there?"
"Wh-what do ya mean?" Eugene responded hesitantly when Rick suddenly called for him as he was making sure Negans cell was locked.
"Be right there!" Eugene yelled out before nervously running out being thankful that something got him out of there. Negan chuckled leaning on the bars when the cell suddenly opened.
"Holy shit.." Negan whispered.
"Eugene I need you to help Anne till I get back."
"Well what about Negan?" Eugene asked worriedly.
"He'll be fine. Doors are locked, he wont know you're not in front. Just do me that favor till I get back alright?" Eugene nodded quickly before Rick jumped in the truck and drove out of Alexandria.
Negan heard the car drive out and stepped on the box to get closer to the window to hear who was around. It sounded very quiet outside. Slowly opening his cell door he made his way down the hall. Putting his ear to the door to hear who was outside he slowly turned the knob. Surprised that it was open he let himself out. Negan could've easily used this chance to escape, he could've used this chance to be free but, Negan wanted to see you. Looking to his right he was lucky to catch you going inside the house so he knew right where to go.
Negan hid behind the houses as he snuck his way closer to you. Stopping a few feet away he looked up and noticed you by your window. Distracted completely by the sight of you taking off your top, he couldn't help trying to get a peak. Rushing to the front of your house as no one was around, he quietly snuck inside gently closing the door behind him before making his way upstairs.
Negan could hear you humming to yourself as he slowly went up the stairs. He could hear you coming from the left side of the house. He looked to see your door was cracked and slowly moved closer to it. Through the crack he saw you still with your bra on brushing your hair.
As you brushed your hair all you could think about was Negan. Why the hell did that man have such a hold on your mind? You abruptly stopped singing getting annoyed at the thought of the situation. How he asked you to leave last time then suddenly had the nerve to say he missed you.
"Negan missed me huh," you scoffed not knowing you were being heard.
"So why the hell ask me to leave, asshole?" You stood up throwing your brush on your dresser before reaching behind you and unclipping your bra. The second you removed your bra Negan let out a deep breath at the sight of your round and plump breasts. He could picture them filling up his large hands, he could feel himself getting hard at the thought. You sighed as you suddenly spaced out thinking about that morning. Thinking about how much you actually wanted to suck on his cock. Thinking about how he wrapped his hand around your throat...then touched your breast. Without realizing it you found yourself caressing your breasts.
Negan practically almost lost his balance at the sight. Keeping himself composed he began to rub his crotch area as he watched you twist your nipples between your fingers.
"Oh.." he whispered softly as he watched your hands touch yourself all over, your neck and shoulders. Your eyes closing as you bit your bottom lip and squeezed your breasts. Negan was breaking a sweat watching you, his breathing was heavy as he focused on every part of you. He tried his best to hold himself back but he couldnt control himself any longer and opened the door to you room.
Negan walked inside making you scream as you stumbled back against the wall. Covering your breasts with your hands you couldnt believe Negan was in your room.
"What...h-how.." you gasped in shock as Negan smirked, slowly closing the door behind him and locking it. You couldnt find the words to say, had he escaped? What the hell was he doing here?
"Come on, arent you glad to see me? I sure am glad to see you." He stepped closer as you stared at him in shock. Licking his lips with a twinkle in his eyes he looked down at your hands covering your chest.
"You're gonna put those hands down for me, sweetheart?" You could see he was aroused just as you were. Slowly but surely you obliged putting your hands to your side. He looked down at them licking his lips before looking back up at you and grinned.
"Thats a real nice fucking rack."
Negan chuckled at your shy response he could tell you were nervous and shocked at the sight of him.
"You wanna share with me what your fine self was just thinking about?"
"You saw me...how long were you there?" You finally spoke hesitantly.
"Long enough. Now tell me, what exactly were you thinking of about big ol' Negan here." He slid his tongue between his teeth as he looked down at you excitedly.
"I...um...Negan..." you laughed nervously making him smile, he actually thought it was kinda cute.
"Let me help you out." He blurt out before clearing his throat.
"Were you thinking about this?" Negan suddenly took your nipple gently between his index finger and thumb, twisting it lightly. You gasped looking down at what he was doing as he began to now do it with the other hand as well.
"Negan.." you whispered before he leaned down and took your nipple in his mouth. You moaned throwing your head back as you held on to him, the feel of his tongue flicking around your nipple making you weak. Negan began to pull your pants down as he continued to tease you knowing exactly what he wanted to do to you.
"I dont know if we should right now." You whispered knowing damn well you didnt want to stop. Negan stood up straight and began taking off his clothes as he stared down at you.
"Come on, sweetheart. No ones around to stop you. Plus..." he walked backward towards the bed and pulled you back on it with him.
"I still owe you, remember." He winked looking down at you before leaning in and kissing you. It felt so good feeling his body lay beside yours. Negans hand caressed your body as he kissed you. He placed himself behind you as he kissed the side of your neck and shoulder. He lifted your leg up and began touching your clit. You moaned leaning back against him feeling the tip of his cock press against your ass.
"Mmmhmm..I know you've been thinking of me." He whispered against your ear feeling how wet you already were.
"Dont worry, I'm gonna do exactly what you want me to do." Negan continued rubbing your clit as you felt him thrust his pelvis against you. You could feel the tip of his cock teasing your entrance and you wanted more. He nibbled on your ear as you felt him slide his cock between your lips teasing you before unexpectedly sliding himself in. You moaned as he closed his eyes leaning his face at the soft curve of your neck.
"Holy fucking christ.." he whispered out of breath. The man had been craving the feel of pussy for months and yours being the first one he had felt in a long time he fought himself to not explode. He struggled fighting the intense urge to cum inside you. It was all he could think of doing.
"Negan...that feels so good," you moaned leaning back against him.
"I know baby," you could hear him having trouble to speak and through it all he didnt stop rubbing your clit. It was to the point you felt a giant burst of pleasure take over you that you moaned loudly pushing away from his cock. Negan felt you squirt all over him and cursed under his breath.
"Oh fuck yeah-" he muttered not expecting you to orgasm the way you did. You collapsed against him as he slid his cock right back in making you gasp. Negan held you close his hand grabbing your breast as he continued to fuck you when suddenly there was a knock on the door. Negan and you both froze, his cock still in you before you took a deep breath and answered.
"Who is it?" You spoke in a shakey voice.
"Melody, it's me Fred. You ok?"
Negan chuckled low kissing your shoulder before he began to move again making it harder for you to speak.
"Y-yes...why?" Negan got a rise out of fucking you while knowing the guy who was interested in you was just outside the door.
"I thought I heard you yell from the window, I got worried. I just wanted to check on you." You couldnt respond as Negan purposely began to move faster, more than anything you wanted to cry out.
"Melody?"
Negan right away covered your lips with his hand knowing you both were about to cum as he thrusted as fast as he could.
Your eyes rolling back, Negan felt your body shake against him as you whimpered right as he pulled out, barely in time.
He let go of your mouth as he jerked himself off on your inner thigh biting down on his bottom lip as he did. The amount of warmth you felt cover your thigh as you felt his body jerk against you made you moan softly. Letting out a deep breath he lay back, you panted beside him.
"Melody?"
"Yes!" You yelled out without meaning to out of breath.
"I mean, yes. Sorry I'm fine." You cleared your throat as Fred stood by the door confused.
"Ok...I'll see you around later. We can catch up if you want."
"Sure, Fred." You just wanted him to leave, you struggled to catch your breath with Negan before finally hearing him walk down the stairs.
"Fucking shit that fuck is annoying." Negan stood up wiping the sweat off his face with his tshirt as you began to clean yourself off. You didnt respond as you began to get dressed making Negan turn to look at you as he buttoned his pants.
"You're not going to actually see him later are you?"
"I dont know. Maybe." You responded without looking his way making him sarcastically chuckle.
"What do you care?" You turned to him making him frown.
"Are you still giving me attitude after how I just fucked the shit out of you? By the way, holy fuck I had no idea you were a squirter."
"Neither did I." You responded making him raise his brows.
"Well look at that, fucked you good and made you squirt. You're gonna stop being mad at me or what?" You sighed, you couldnt stay mad at him..not with that look.
"I guess I will." You smiled rolling your eyes as Negan stepped close to you and leaned in for a kiss. He grabbed your face kissing you passionately when you suddenly heard the door slam downstairs.
"Who was that?" You gasped hearing someone loudly run up the stairs only terrifying you even more.
"Melody open the damn door!" You gasped bulging your eyes out hearing your dads voice.
"Shit." Negan muttered as Rick attempted to open the door.
"What the hell is he doing back, he was suppose to be gone for the night?" You whispered in a panic.
"Open the damn door, I know you're not alone in there!" Your father yelled as you looked up at Negan.
"Just open it, it'll be ok. I'll deal with it."
Hesitantly and fearfully you unlocked the door and opened it to see your father immediately turn to Negan.
"Now Rick, before you say-" before Negan could finish Rick ran in the room and speared him to the floor.
"Dad!" You screamed as he punched Negan before Negan quickly turned him around.
"Dad wait!" You screamed watching in shock. Rick stood up out of breath angrily wiping the blood from the corner of his lip.
"You wanna take advantage of my daughter? I warned you not to cross me!" Your father yelled as Negan stood up out of breath.
"Hes not taking advantage of me, daddy please stop. I'm grown enough to make my choices."
"Oh yeah, was Negan honest to you about what he did? Did he tell you why hes locked in the cell? Were you grown enough for him to tell you that?"
"Dad stop it! You never told me yourself." You yelled back at him.
"I didnt tell you to protect you, he didnt tell you so he could get to use you. Why dont you tell her Negan, tell her what you did." Your father and you turned to Negan as you saw the look of guilt in his eyes.
"I'm not that same man anymore." Negan spoke low.
"Tell her what you did!" Your father yelled once again making you jump. Negan stood silent staring at you knowing there was nothing he could do at this point. Knowing you would never look at him the same way again.
"Negan...tell me." You whispered worriedly. Your father didn't want to hurt you, he didnt want to tell you this but clearly it was the only way to keep you away from him.
"Melody....Negan killed Glenn."
Your eyes bulged out as you stared at Negan in silence. He didnt say a word only confirming it to be true. Your eyes welled up with tears as you felt a knot build up in your throat.
"No.." you whispered feeling a tear roll down your cheek.
"That...that's a joke." You responded in denial.
"You...you wouldn't have let me...knowing that...you wouldnt..right?" You stared up at Negan realizing maybe your father was right. He took advantage using you for sex knowing the wrong he had done. He knew how you would feel about it but chose not to tell you so he could still have you.
"Glenn?" You whispered again remembering how you confided in Negan telling him how upset you were of the situation. And that's when he had asked you to leave...that was why he asked you to leave, you began to realize.
"I'm gonna be sick.." you turned away with your hand on your chest as your father rushed beside you putting his hand on your shoulder.
"Dont!" You suddenly yelled shaking his hand off.
"If it werent for you treating me like a damn child...hiding things from me...I wouldnt have fallen for this-"
"I tried to warn you." Your father responded calmly.
"If I would've known he killed Glenn I would've never...ever spoken to him!" You cried out as Negan looked down at the ground, he knew there was nothing he could say.
"Melody.." your father moved towards you making you move back.
"Dont. The both of you leave me the hell alone. Just leave me alone." You ran out of the house wiping your tears way. The two men staying in silence before Rick silently tied up Negans hands. Without alerting anyone you grabbed your emergency back pack you had hidden away by the entrance and quietly climbed out without anyone knowing. You wanted nothing more to do with Alexandria. You felt hurt, betrayed, lost, you thought of your friend Glenn and cried. You couldnt be here anymore and walked off not hearing Eugene call out your name as you ran off.
Eugene ran towards Rick's house catching him as he came out with Negan tied up.
"Rick, shes gone! She left...I tried stopping her-"
"Who?" Rick raised a brow speaking low to Eugene.
"Melody! She left she took a bag and left-"
"Melody." Negan whispered with a frown making Rick glare at him before turning back to Eugene.
"Which way did she go?"
"She went down the road turning left. Ya gotta find her I saw her crying." Eugene spoke in panic as Rick nodded with concerned eyes.
"Alright, here's what you're gonna do. I need you to take Negan back to the cell. I'm going to get Melody. Find Daryl and Michonne and tell them to meet me by the small lake by the road. Got it?"
"Y-you want me to stay with Negan?"
"Yes. Can you do that for me? I'm counting on you." Eugene nodded his head but was clearly nervous for the job. He handed Negan to Eugene and quickly ran off to leave and find you.
Negan watched Rick take off and didnt like the idea of you being out there alone and distraught. Hell, he found himself worried about you. Negan walked with Eugene pretending to stop and fix his shoe with his hands tied in front, he picked up a rock. Quietly he made his way to the cell as Eugene anxiously bought him inside.
"I like you, Eugene. But...I gotta do this."
"Do what?" He asked confused when Negan lifted up his hands and slammed the rock on his head making him knock out cold.
"Sorry man." He whispered before grabbing the knife out of Eugene's pocket and cutting the rope loose. Grabbing whatever weapon he could Negan was not going to let you be out there on your own. He felt at fault and he didnt want anything happening to you. Without being seen Negan climbed up the fence and made his way out determined to find you and bring you back home safely.
If you have any ideas you want to share for the next part, please send them in. Any feedback I appreciate. Thank you

West African Hybrids
“Hey… Hey! Wake up, we’re almost there.”
Ru’Yi felt a slight nudge at her side and opened her eyes. Her uniform was slightly rumpled. She managed to tie up her hair so it wouldn’t be too frizzy on landing. “Really?” She whimpered in a sleepy disappointment. “That was so fast…”
“Well, the executive department doesn’t like to waste time. So the gear department modifies planes for maximum speed.” Rodney gave her a shy smile, revealing a single dimple on his right cheek. “Are you okay? Can I get you anything?”
She shook her head. “I’m alright.”
It was still too dark to see much but, as people began to turn on their overhead lights, she noticed that his eyes were hazel, brown with flecks of green and gold mixed in, hidden behind his dark brown bangs. Everything from his hair cut, to his quiet voice, and hesitant demeanor spoke to his shyness, but now that she got a good look at him, she could tell that he was at least as strong as Brian. He had those same broad shoulders and muscles along his arms. He was also relatively tall, stretching his legs under the seat in front of him.
Around her all the students were always wide awake, shifting and speaking to their seatmates.
Ru’Yi only remembered flying once before. Back when she was fourteen when they were on the island, she had been so excited to take her first flight and she packed all her things early. She even watched videos of 757, 747 and 777 airliners to see how things would be. These massive jets with smiling Flight attendants, a friendly captain speaking over an intercom, and movies built into the seats.
But instead of a large bustling airport, her father and mother took a boat to another island where a sandy flat ribbon of land served as a runway. There were no customs, no shopping, nothing like that. Just a long silver luxury private jet in the middle of nowhere.
“Why can’t we just be normal?” She had lamented.
Her father answered her question in his usual succinct manner. The nearest airport was nearly a day’s travel away and she would never be able to use it anyway because she didn’t have a passport. He looked at her with a head slightly tilted, like a curious bird wondering what was wrong. The juxtaposition of his serious-eyed stare, his questioning gesture and his shirt with the bright yellow hibiscus flowers would have been funny but she wasn’t laughing.
This was better anyway, her mother had chimed in. They had the whole plane to themselves. There was an onboard chef ready to fix anything they possibly would want to eat, music, movies, games, and a good pilot that her father knew. She also was dressed in a yellow sundress to match her husband’s and together, they looked like the happy globetrotting couple.
Ru’Yi had relented, but didn’t smile. Deep down, he knew all the kids at school would envy her. They would question how some tour guide could afford a private flight to the United States.
She should be grateful.
Now sitting in the Beluga Aircraft, she realized that this was as close to normal as she could get. At least now, she was surrounded by other people who also didn’t seem to use passports, use airports or pass through customs. They were flying a jet with a jet tucked inside it like a Russian nesting doll and still managed to go faster than the planes she’d looked at as a child. She started to wonder if normalcy was as much as a fantasy to her as dragons were to ordinary people.
Aircraft Carrier, Aido-Hwedo, West Africa Branch.
The calm Atlantic waters broke beneath the unstoppable gun-metal bow of the moving wall of metal that towered a thousand feet high. It was topped with what appeared to be a flat road surface, as though a piece of highway had broken off a steel cliffside and set sail. On the side of this cliff was a name in large white block text a dozen feet high: Aido-Hwedo.
The original name of the vessel was the USS-Enterprise. This aircraft carrier was the one near enough to Pearl Harbor to participate in the famous World War II battle. It had scrambled several of its jets to help, but in the confusion of the sudden attack, many of them were shot down by their own countrymen. Later it saw intense battles of the South Pacific and then other missions during peacetime. But, for all its storied history, it still ended up at the shipyard to be turned into scrap at the end of its life.
According to history, it was scrap. Supposedly, all that was left of the ship was its bell, an anchor and the name plaque. Indeed, the name plaque was removed, but the ship itself moved about on the seas like a ghost of decades past, fighting battles under its new name.
The Aido-Hwedo was the great rainbow serpent that both created the world and sustained Earth’s form from falling to chaos -- A great beast that ate iron and, lacking iron, would instead eat its own tail.
Ordinarily, this floating runway would have been decorated with fighter jets, but for this occasion the landing surface was cleared to accommodate its incoming oversized cargo.
Within the control tower a tall man with skin the color of black coffee watched through his binoculars while a woman sat watching the radar screen. He was dressed in a black naval uniform, decorated with gold tassels. He was still, silent, and tense as he prepared to watch the plane land.
Landing on a flight deck is one of the most difficult things a pilot will ever do. The flight deck only had about 500 feet of runway space for landing planes, which wasn’t nearly enough for the heavy, high-speed jets like the modified Beluga coming in. To land on the flight deck, it would need a tailhook, which was exactly what it sounded like — an extended hook attached to the plane’s tail. The pilot’s goal would be to snag the tailhook on one of four arresting wires, sturdy cables woven from high-tensile steel wire. It would be precision flying at low speed and a high angle of attack. It was the definitive skill that tested Navy carrier pilots. The principle on landing would be to fly the plane aboard the ship at the slowest speed at which it can be done safely, to deliberately stall and drop into the landing.
Despite his confidence in the pilot, Foli Abalo looked through his binoculars with anticipation of a close call. The wire system was checked, rechecked and placed under guard. A back up emergency wire system was installed in case it failed anyway.
“Approach speed 450. Tail hook lowered.” The woman murmured.
The lights of the plane were suddenly visible as it made its approaching turn. It moved incredibly slowly, stalking the ship like a massive fat shark.
“Speed reduced 350…”
It was the moment of truth. By now, the plane was so low and flying so slow, it had two options, land perfectly on the aircraft carrier or land on the ocean. There would be no recovering from this descent.
“On final approach. Flaps full. Speed 300.”
The roar of the engines was now audible in the tower. It rattled the glass. This plane would take up every inch of the runway and its wings would span the full width of the ship. Compared to the plane, this aircraft carrier seemed more like a sheet of notebook paper.
“Landing in five… four, three, two…”
The plane suddenly dwarfed the runway. The weight of it rocked the carrier. A pair of reverse thrusters built into the engines ignited in front of it. The brake lines caught the tailhooks and screamed under the strain. The plane passed the tower, rumbled further and further to the edge and then stopped completely, its nose peeking over the water.
A smattering of applause echoed throughout the tower. “We did it! We did it! That was the hard part wasn’t it? Get the crew down, have medics on board just in case the force of the stop caused any injuries.”
While the crew scattered, Foli smiled, his teeth a brilliant white, his black eyes twinkling. “Grant… it’s been far too long. How have you been doing my friend? Will you still recognize me? I wonder.” He chuckled.
Foli was one of a set of quadruplets. His mother had two eggs fertilized that day and by luck, both of them divided into two sets of twins. They were all born on the same day and seemed to have the same spirit in them so it was impossible to tell them apart as babies even for the most experienced spiritualist. Normally, the children would be named after the day of the week until they were given their permanent names. As it turned out, they were given the names of their birth order and that was that.
The name Foli meant first son, Atsu meant the younger of twins, Do was the first child after twins, and Dofi the second child after twins. His three brothers were also on this ship, scattered throughout the crew. Those onboard had no trouble telling them apart thanks to the uniform system of the West Africa branch. The gold crown on his hat meant he was the First Officer. But without his hat, it was very difficult to tell for those who didn’t know them well, and it wasn’t uncommon for his brothers to disguise themselves as pranks. He wouldn’t meet his friend today. His youngest brother, Dofi, would meet him instead.
He walked out of the tower where his brother was waiting and passed his his hat. Looking at them was like looking at a reflection. The same curled hair, cut short in the same buzzed syle, the same smile, and broad nose.
It was Dofi’s idea to play the prank. He was always the jokester and the one who initiated play on the ship. Atsu, the Chief Engineer was up to his ears after making the modifications to the ship for this mission. And Do had to stay on watch, keeping a careful eye on the stirring atmosphere just a few hundred miles distant. Although they were all the same age, Foli was expected to be the responsible representative and more was required of him as the oldest brother, even if he was only the oldest by a few minutes. So he wasn’t allowed to be seen playing, drinking or smoking.
Dofi screwed the hat on his head. “I’ll say I stole it.” He said, turning on his heel with a wink and then, pulling his face into a stoic frown, marched straight towards the bridge. When the other crew saw him they quickly pulled up in a sharp salute, thinking he was the captain.
The West Africa Branch had managed to remain under the radar for much of history. Africa had few mountains to guarantee a sufficient amount of steady rains. So great buildings and permanent settlements were mostly confined to the coasts and river valleys. The rest of Africa was forced to follow the shifting weather. The most valuable items one had had to be portable. So the hybrids of Africa were always mobile and moving. They kept their secrets with them in oral traditions, and carried their alchemical knowledge in the form of clothing, necklaces and even scars and tattoos. When the tidal wave of destructive colonization smashed to ruins the cultures of millions and the cutting knife of modern country borders separated allies and grouped them with enemies, and the explosion of civil war blew countries into eternal cycles of poverty, the hybrid life of West Africa was like a serpent, sliding under it all, with a secret network of transportation, communication and trade.
Anjou landed on the shores searching for such treasures. They were aware of him immediately and shied away. After all, those Europeans were nothing but looters and could not be trusted. They offered him fakes in hopes of luring him off their land. He saw through their counterfeits, but showed a surprising amount of restraint and tolerance for their hesitance. After a few years of negotiations, they finally trusted him enough to grant him a single piece of exquisite art that contained the alchemical formula for a special kind of dragonslaying metal. In return, he agreed to keep them secret for seven years.
Those seven years passed and the promise was kept and the relationship grew a bit more open. They began to send their young men and women to the college. Foli attended along with Grant. Sadly, the death of Anjou was an uncertain time for the College. They didn’t know this “Lu Mingfei” or this “Von Frings”. But Foli knew Grant Baldwin and he couldn’t refuse a request for help from a friend. Grant said he needed people who could keep secrets and no one kept secrets like the West African Hybrids.
The crew that would welcome them rolled the tall stairway up to the plane’s door and arranged themselves in a long row spanning its length, hands folded behind their backs, looking like a row of sharply dressed dominoes.
The door finally opened and Grant exited first. He looked out over them and stepped easily down towards the ‘Captain’ who gazed at him with a serious air. For a moment, the two stared at each other not saying anything.
From his perch in the tower, Foli could hear what was being said through the wire Dofi wore. He grinned as he heard his brother say, “Welcome to my ship, Director.”
Grant’s voice, at its most deadpan and dry tone said, “Since when did Foli grow a mole on his cheek? Where is he? Which brother are you?”
Within the tower, Foli tilted his head back and howled with laughter, his joy at his brother’s prank failing was intensified by the fact that his friend still remembered him after all his time. “Which brother are you? Hahaha…” He leaned forward and clicked the PA system and his voice boomed over the speakers attached to the tower. “Good morning, Mr. Baldwin! Long time no see! Hahaha!”
“Was this a test?”
“Yes! And you half passed. For the second half, you will have to find out for yourself which brother is he!”
The rest of the line of crew also grinned but kept their laughter in check as Dofi gave a bow with an elegant leg. “We’ll show your students a good time. They need rest while we prepare the mission.”
The students piled off the plane in a rush, eagerly waving and looking around. Foli watched carefully, making a checklist in his mind of each face. He’d gotten the roster from Baldwin of those approved for the mission, so when he saw a woman get off he straightened with surprise.
He didn’t remember any women being on the roster. She seemed young, her skin was only the color of a latte, but her hair was long, coiled and beautiful. She carefully stepped down to the ground and took her place in line to wait for her luggage.
He turned off the PA. It seemed that Grant had his own surprises. “Ensign… who is the girl?”
The woman at the radar shook her head. She’s not on the roster. There’s no female name on the manifest.
He rubbed his chin. He knew he should trust Mr. Baldwin, but he also knew that he only had so much authority. The School Board would easily overrule him.
“Find out what you can about her.” He turned. “I will make my way down to the deck.”

will you find me (afterlife) | t.h.
Summary: the five stages of grief start with denial and it didn’t seem like Tom was going leave that stage anytime soon.
Pairing: Tom Holland x Reader
Song I listened to while writing: Afterlife by Hailee Steinfeld
Author’s Note: it’s not my first time writing something supernatural, but it is my first time doing so for Tom, so we’ll see how that went, huh? This went incredibly well with the spooky month and I was hella inspired by Hailee Steinfeld’s new song, so, enjoy it!!
Warnings: mention of character’s death, supernatural elements
Word Count: 3,2k
Tom stepped out of the door and quickly pulled the hood over his head to protect himself from the rain that was falling from the clouds. Even though it was only four pm in the afternoon, the sky was dark and it was pouring rain; the weather matched his mood.
It was his first time leaving the house since you’ve died and honestly he couldn’t have brought it over his heart to even get out of bed if it wasn’t for the thing he desperately needed answers to. If his family or Harrison knew that Tom had managed to get dressed by himself, let alone get a shower they would have been ecstatic.
But no, Tom couldn’t tell anyone where he was going, not yet. Not before he could confirm anything.
He quickly walked to the next tube station, painfully keeping his eyes away from the empty parking space in his drive way. Head kept low and eyes trained on the ground, Tom got on the tube and leaned his forehead on the cold window as the darkness flashed past him, while the people around him were chattering excitedly about whatever dull topic, he couldn’t care less.
It was their laughter that made his ears perk up, that one person that giggled just like you did and he curled his hands into fists, squeezing his eyes shut.
It wasn’t you.
Tom bolted the moment the tube stopped at his station and jogged up the stairs, his head turning to find the way. He pulled out his phone to look at the address of his destination, your face smiling at him from the screen. With a bitter smile, he wiped the rain drops from your face and followed the directions to the address he was given.
He’s been walking for fifteen minutes in the freezing rain when he took a left turn and knew that he was at the right place.
The smell inside was musky and dingy when he entered the shop, he barely had space to turn his body; the small room was packed with shelves and tables, which had varying kinds of antiquities on them, ranging from small candle holders up to an intricate looking lamp in the far corner.
Tom was moving carefully between the furniture, pulling his hood down as he dodged a particular bulky coat rack, when a nasally voice sounded next to him.
“You’re not here to buy antiquities, are you.”
It wasn’t posed as a question, but he nodded either way as he took in the appearance of the woman that was standing to his left side.
Her back was hunched, draped with several layers of scarfs and cardigans, her hair curling wildly around her face. Even though she had deep wrinkles in her face, she somehow looked young and old at the same time, Tom couldn’t exactly pinpoint why.
“The thing you came here for involves a highly dangerous ritual, boy. It is not something a mere mortal like you can play with,” she told him and he bristled, his eyebrows furrowing.
“How do you even know why I’m here?”
The woman gave him a condescending look. “If you don’t know that, I’m not sure if you’re in the right place after all.”
“I’m in the right place,” he argued. “And if you know why I’m here, you also know that I’m not leaving until you’re giving me the answers that I need.”
She let out a dry laugh and disappears behind a shelf, with Tom following her hot on her heels.
“You have a big mouth for someone who needs something only I can give you.”
“Please,” Tom croaked out and she turned to look at him. “I need to know if anything that was written in the book was true. I need to know if I can bring her back-“ he cut off, letting out a harsh breath.
“I can’t live with her.”
“Aren’t you alive right now?”
“Just barely,” he whispered and the woman eyed him skeptically.
His eyes were blood shot and sunken in, his cheeks bony. He looked like he hasn’t eaten in a week and the way his hands were shaking, it seemed like he desperately needed it.
“How did you even find me?” she asked, her voice softer.
“Someone gave me a book and the address was written on the back. His name was John Huntley.”
Tom leaned his head into his hands, the tears falling on the squeaky white floor below him. He knew that he shouldn’t have let you go to the store by yourself, he should have gone with you instead of staying at home, but would that have made matters better? Maybe he’d be dead, too.
That certainly beat having to live without you.
“Excuse me, Tom Holland? May I have a word?”
“Can’t you just give me some fucking privacy?” Tom snapped at him, lifting his eyes to glare at the man who was standing over him, his hands stuffed in the pockets of his black coat. Even though he probably looked like a crazy person right now, he couldn’t care less. You weren’t even dead for half an hour and this man wouldn’t even let Tom mourn in peace.
“I’m not here to bother you, I swear,” he said, raising his hands in defense. ”I just- My name is John Huntley and I think I can help you.”
John reached into his coat and pulled a small leather bound book out, handing it to Tom. The book looked old and honestly, Tom wasn’t sure if it would survive the trip home.
“What the fuck is this?”
“Something that is going to help you,” John answered, sticking his hands into the pockets of his coat. “I am only here to help, if you accept my help or not is up to you.”
He turned to leave, but before he took any step away from Tom, he looked over his shoulder one last time.
“I am sorry for your loss, Tom.”
Tom narrowed his eyes, staring after the retreating form of the man, so distracted that he didn’t notice Harrison walking up to him to lay a hand on his shoulder.
“Hey man, who was that?” Harrison asked, his eyebrows furrowed in concern as he eyed his best friend.
“No one important,” Tom said absentmindedly, still looking at the back of John Huntley’s head while his hand slipped the book into the pocket of his hoodie.
How did he know that you’ve died?
It was later that day when Tom returned to an eerily quiet house that he remembered about John Huntley and the book in the pocket of his coat. Grabbing himself a bottle of beer, he sat down at the kitchen counter and opened the book, skipping through the pages.
“Love potion, binding spell, what the fuck is this supposed to be, some kind of witch book?” he muttered to himself, throwing the book across the counter, before opening his beer to take a big sip, his eyes brimming with tears. Placing the beer bottle back on the counter with more force than needed, he glanced back to the book and on the page it was opened on.
His eyes glazed over when he read the title of the page, his hands starting to shake when he reached out to pick the book back up, his lip trembling.
“John should stop putting his nose where it doesn’t belong.” She said courtly and Tom pulled out the book to show it to her, skipping to the part that was relevant to him.
“He was trying to help me. He knew that it wasn’t Y/N’s time yet, this is him telling me to bring her back!” he said hotly, his voice rising.
The woman merely blinked at him. “You don’t strike me as someone who believes in things like these.”
Tom slumped, his arms falling numbly to the side.
“I didn’t use to. Y/N was the one who believes- believed in magic and the supernatural, always whispering about witches and vampires living among us. I humored her. I thought it was cute of her to believe in things. It makes you appreciate life so much more when you believe.”
“So are you saying you believe in magic?” the woman asked and Tom looked her straight in the eyes and he swore a look of familiarity passed her face before he gave her an answer.
“I believe in Y/N.”
“Very well. But do be warned, this is a ritual even highly skilled witches and warlocks fail at and I can’t promise you that a mere mortal like you can perform it.”
Tom nodded, the comment indicating that there were more than one witch and even warlocks completely went over his head, he had one goal only and that was the only thing that he could focus on right now.
“Now listen carefully because I’m only going to tell you this once,” the woman warned him and Tom quickly pulled up his phone to take notes.
“This ritual only works during the full moon, so you’ll have to do it tomorrow, because by the next it’ll be too late. Now, for the ingredients you’ll need…”
Shouldering the backpack, Tom had the hood pulled deep into his face as he casually walked along the hospital building, the darkness engulfing his figure. He waited a split second as a nurse left through the back door, as to not look suspicious before he snuck into the building, heading the stairwell down to the morgue.
The basement was dark, and Tom was searching for the light switch to bring some light into the hallway, looking over his shoulder to make sure no one was coming down the stairs. But just to be safe, he shut the door of the morgue behind him when he stepped foot into the room and locked it, blocking the door with a heavy cabinet for good measure. He didn’t need anyone to come in and put him in the psych ward.
Tom took a few cautious steps towards the mortuary chamber he knew your body was stored in and a chill ran down his spine. He didn’t know if it was caused by the low temperatures or the fact that he was about to come face to face with your dead body. Squaring his shoulders, he checked the labels on the chambers before he finally found your name, unlatching the bolt and pulling your chamber out, his breath hitching in his throat.
You looked so peaceful; your eyelids a faint purple, scratches scattered across your face and he could see bruises on your shoulders, from which he knew went down to your chest. Tom reached out to take your hand in his and it felt ice cold, against his warm skin. Swallowing thickly, he wiped the tears that were starting to fall with the sleeve of his sweatshirt before he brought his backpack forward to unpack the ingredients for the ritual.
Tom stroke the hair out of your face gently before applying the paste he had stirred together beforehand on your forehead and cheeks. As he slowly worked his way down your body, the doubts started clouding his mind and the breath stocked in his throat, his hand trembling.
What was he supposed to do if this wasn’t going to work?
When he told the old woman at the shop that he wasn’t able to live without you, he wasn’t exaggerating. The only thing that kept him going and the blood pumping through his veins was the fact that he had a chance of bringing you back, there was no plan B, this was it, it had to work.
He pushed back the stray curls out of his forehead with his elbow, his fingers slowly running down your pale arm, before he wiped his hands on a towel. Tom glanced on the watch that was wrapped around his wrist before he removed the small pendant that rested on his chest, the small heart glinting in the light.
“If what you’re thinking is true, that it wasn’t her time to go yet, it is possible that her soul is still around and latched onto something else when her body died. The object is something she held dear, something important to her. You have to find that object for the ritual, otherwise it won’t work.”
He had taken the necklace when he had looked at your body after your accident. Your cuts were still fresh then and there was still a glow on your face that made you look like you were just asleep. Tom had wanted to keep a part of you close to him and he never realized how he was literally keeping a part of you around his neck.
It wasn’t even a gift from him, you had been wearing the necklace long before you met. It was a gift from your grandmother when you were little and you had never taken it off, usually playing with it when you were nervous. In all of the time you were dating, Tom had never even thought of buying you a necklace as a gift because he knew you’d never take off your grandmother’s necklace.
He hoped he was right about this.
Tom pulled the book out of his backpack and turned the pages until he reached the chapter of resurrecting the dead. He straightened the page and when a small alarm went off on his phone, he read the three small verses that were written below the instructions.
With longing and passion you are missed, as your body slowly starts to wither. With life again you shall be kissed, interrupting your path with her.
Bring your soul back to its rightful place, your time has not yet come. Return to the living with all your grace, bring life to what is numb.
I call you here and now, with a power holier than thou.
As Tom finished reading he expected something to glow or maybe a blinding light, but nothing. It was silent, the only thing that made a sounds was the light flickering above him. Everything looked scarily normal and you still looked dead.
You still were dead.
The tears he was trying so hard to hold back sprang into his eyes and he turned away from your body, angrily hitting his open palm against the wall. It was over, it didn’t work. He was out of options and he just didn’t know how he was supposed to keep going. A strangled sob escaped his lips as he leaned his forehead against the wall, the tears running down his face.
With his hand curled into a fist, he squeezed his eyes shut and wiped his wet cheeks. His body tensed and the hairs on the nape of his neck stood straight when he heard rustling behind him, almost giving himself whiplash with how fast he turned his head.
You were groaning out in pain, your body still showing a few splotches of the purple paste on your skin. While Tom was staring at you shell-shocked, your hands gripping the side of the metallic stretcher you were laying on, you pushed yourself up in a sitting position, before he finally shook himself out of his trance and rushed over to help you, supporting your back.
“Easy,” he hissed, his hands carefully holding you as if he was scared of breaking you. “Your body’s been through a lot in the past few days, don’t push yourself.”
“Holy shit,” you cursed. “Fuck, why does everything hurt so much? I feel like I’ve been hit with a truck.”
Tom winced and one hand came up to stroke the hair out of your face lovingly, the smile on his face was so bright it hurt your eyes. He couldn’t believe his luck.
“Well, you got hit by something, but it wasn’t exactly a truck,” he said softly and you narrowed your eyes at him.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
You then glanced around the room and down your body, confusion written all over your face. Tom wasn’t sure how he was supposed to explain this to you, he didn’t even know what you remembered.
“Where am I? Why am I naked? Wait-“ you squinted your eyes at the mortuary chamber in front of you and all the color drained from your face.
“Tom, why am I lying in a mortuary chamber?”
He quickly pulled out the spare clothes out of the backpack and helped you to get dressed, before cupping your face gently.
“Do you trust me?” Tom asked quietly and you stared wide-eyed at him, nodding. You were scared, he could see that in your eyes, but right now he just needed you to trust him before he could answer any questions.
“Good, then put some shoes on and I will explain everything to you at home okay?”
You nodded obediently and he wrapped a jacket around your shoulders before he helped you off the stretcher. Eyeing the blocked door suspiciously while Tom pushed the cabinet away and returned to your side with a strong grip around your waist.
It wasn’t easy to get up the stairs and out of the hospital with you limping and him having to dodge your questioning looks and the hospital staff, but you managed to get to his car.
“I can buckle up by myself Tommy,” you told him with an amused grin on your face while he was leaning over your lap to put your seatbelt on, but judged by the concerned expression he was wearing, he wasn’t in the mood to joke around.
“I just want my girl to be safe,” Tom told you with a gentle kiss on the cheek and after making sure the seatbelt was on tight, he got into the driver’s seat, pulling out of the parking lot to drive home.
Two figures were watching the car drive off to the distance from the roof of the hospital building, one casually sitting on the edge with her legs dangling in the air.
“I still think it’s a bad idea John,” the girl said, wrapping her scarf tighter around her neck. “How do you think he’s going to explain this to his family, or the public?”
John was still focused on the car growing smaller in the distance, only turning away when he couldn’t see the lights anymore, smiling at the sitting girl.
“They’ll be fine, Mya. We both know that it wasn’t her time to go yet,” he reminded her, plopping down on the ground next to her.
“And they reminded me of us, you know how much I went through to get you back, he at least should have gotten the chance to do so, too.”
Mya sighed and waggled her feet, though a smile was playing on her lips. “You’re right. He was very determined to find a way to bring her back, even though he didn’t 100% believe in us. But that’s what love can do, right?”
“Right,” John answered with a smile on his own, reaching over to grasp Mya’s hand. “Love’s even more powerful than death herself.”
He leaned in to give her a small kiss and the moments their lips touched, they vanished into thin air, a hint of vanilla being the only thing they’ve left behind.

RWBY Volume 7 Chapter 2 & 3
SPOILERS
Greetings. Due to me staying up for the full 24 hours for Rooster Teeth Extra Life and surviving on 5 hour energy, chocolate, and water, I got real sick. I lost the will to write an analysis of Chapter 2, especially for an episode that was fairly slow, but still full of information. Which is why I will be reviewing both Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 this week. So for like the 20 something people that will skim read this post, strap in. This was a pretty heavy week.
Same as always, this post contains several SPOILERS. Do not read unless you are completely caught up on the show.
Love Will Thaw A Frozen Heart
We had a beautiful reunion between our second favorite sister duo, which was very heart warming, but we still have to wait for the big Schnee reunion.
And now that Ironwood possesses the first Relic, the group now has the upper hand on Salem. Salem has lost her only Maiden, the Spring Maiden is in the wind, and apparently, Ironwood has the Winter Maiden secured and in “stable” condition. According to Qrow, “She’s no spring chicken.” So that must mean that she’s an elderly woman with declining health. That means we’re back to where we were in Volume 3, they have to secure a new vessel for the new Winter Maiden. Either they will take the gamble and hope that whomever the current Winter Maiden chooses to inherit the power gets the power. Or they will do the soul merger machine plan that they tried to force upon Pyrrha. If we were to take a guess as to who would be Ironwood’s Champion, it would have to be Winter. While Penny does have a soul, there’s no telling what would happen to the power if she were to die. The only other person Ironwood trusts just as much as Qrow or Ozpin is Winter. It’s unclear if the machine could transfer the Maiden power to a male host, but that would be an interesting thought.
I Have No Heart, And So I Must Be Very Careful
Now, Irondaddy has been making his own plans since we’ve last seen him. With Ozpin “gone”, Ironwood has been his own moral compass. The embargo and recall of the Atlas military was only the first step of his master plan. Now that the Relic of Knowledge and Creation and the Winter Maiden are secure, the next step is to reestablish communication between the Kingdoms.
By building a new CCT tower on top of Amity Arena, it will act as a form of satellite. It will float above the clouds, higher than any Grimm can reach, and will still provide global communication even if another tower were to be destroyed. The next step is to tell the world about Salem.
That isn’t one the best plans this show has thrown at us. Ozpin has kept Salem a secret for hundreds of years. Beyond keeping his own shameful part of her evil reign a secret, the other reason was because of the inevitable chaos that would occur if the people found out there was this all powerful Goddess out there hell bent on the destruction of the world. But that’s a gamble Ironwood is willing to take apparently! His military are supposed to run damage control once the inevitable chaos breaks out among not only Atlas and Mantle, but the whole world.
Ruby made the executive decision to keep certain truths from Ironwood. Including Ozpin’s true past with Salem, Ozpin’s disappearance, Jinn being out of questions, Salem being allegedly unbeatable, and her Silver Eyes. With good reason, we have no idea what Ironwood would do with this information. Our heroes almost quit after hearing all of this, Ironwood has the world’s strongest army at his disposal. He might have a more violent reaction, and decide to go after Salem with everything he has. Ironwood is already in a volatile state, Dr. Pietro has already testified to his current paranoia. And based on the opening alluding to Jacques Schnee adding fuel to the fire, Ironwood is being manipulated into putting the needs of Atlas above the rest of the world. Of course, he seems completely level headed now. He even gave the Relic back to Ruby, offered them safe harbor in the Academy, and has basically gave them his blessing to be unofficial Huntsmen.
Ironwood even gave Qrow a super awkward hug, like a man who has never been hugged his whole life but has always wanted to try it.
A New Plan
So the next step is to reclaim an abandoned dust mine that has been taken over Grimm. (It’s insinuated that this is the same Schnee Dust Mine cave in that killed several Faunus, including Ilia’s parents). The dust mine will serve as a launch sight for Amity Arena and the dust inside is needed by the science team, until it’s clear, the CCT tower cannot launch. Why that is, why they can’t just find a new launch sight is not made clear. But this is what we have to work with.
That’s when we get our big glow up reveal, and they all look fantastic. Like, Yang’s detachable pant legs, Weiss’ excessive belts, Ruby’s steel toe boots, Blake’s new hair, I am literally living for this.
Now our team is outfitted with new tricked out scrolls. The scrolls track their vitals and aura levels, and are synced up to one another. So everyone can check on each other on the field. And if Ironwood hasn’t outfitted their scrolls with listening devices to eavesdrop on them, I will be severely disappointed in him. In this episode alone, they have talked about literally everything they’re hiding from Ironwood. Imagine all of the recordings of them being thrown back in their face.
One of the moments is between Ruby and Oscar.
Oscar was left behind at the academy, but before they leave, Ruby entrusts the Relic to Oscar. Claiming that it isn’t a good idea to be toting around an ancient Relic on her hip like a key chain. Good point. Oscar decides to let Ruby know that he’s uncomfortable with the idea of lying to Ironwood, saying it’s just like what Ozpin did to them. While the lies will probably blow up in their face, I still feel that Ruby’s hesitation is validated. She doesn’t know Ironwood, or what he will do with the information, or if he will try to claim Jinn’s last question. Only time will tell if Ruby will come forward herself, or if someone else will do it for her.
Team Chemistry
It’s not totally relevant to the plot currently, but there was a lot of onscreen chemistry between some of our team members. I’m sure aaaaaallll the shippers are losing their minds with the Bumbleby scene. Yang gets all flustered over Blake’s new look, and Blake gets all blushy. While I personally ship Blake/Sun, it’s just nice to see some LGBTQ representation. It means a lot.
Of course, Nora is still pining after Ren, who is either completely oblivious, or just isn’t ready to see his surrogate sister as a potential romantic partner, even if he does reciprocate her feelings. Ren isn’t exactly known for being upfront with his feelings. After losing Arkos, I really hope they get together, and not five minutes before one of them dies.
I’m not crazy, right? There was definitely a vibe here. Maybe Clover is just generally a flirty person, but he was sending those flirty vibes towards Qrow.
You Have To Go Inside
The inside of the mine is full of Grimm, but the main target is a Geist. It has already claimed the lives of several Atlesian soldiers.
They follow it down to the deep depths of the mines, where the Geist merges with the surrounding terrain, which includes big chunks of Gravity Dust. Which means that they have to be weary of attacking it, or they could set off the dust in the Geist, which would have a chain reaction and set off the rest of the dust in the mine, effectively killing them.
So Team RWBY, JNR, and Qrow take a back seat and let the ACE ops take over.
It was a great action scene, the ACE ops got to flex their abilities, and the Geist was effectively dealt with. But there was a very interesting scene between Harriet Bree and Ruby Rose. Ruby notes that Harriet’s semblance is speed, just like hers. But when Harriet tries to run and catch a falling shard of dust…
Ruby beats her by an inch. Harriet makes it a point to tell her that Ruby’s semblance is not speed related, but something different. I always assumed that Ruby had two semblances, the first being her Silver Eyes, and the second is her speed, which mirrors her fast paced personality. Perhaps her speed is merely an extension of another power. Only time will tell.
The Scorpion and The Frog
It was revealed in Chapter 2 that Watts and Tyrian have rolled into town. Watts reveals that while the codes have been updated in Atlas, none of it has been updated in Mantle. He easily takes control of all of Mantle security cameras and traffic lights, which is probably only a fraction of the destruction he can cause. And of course, Tyrian is already causing his form of mayhem by killing people. Even in a place like Mantle, he’s gonna raise some red flags. But subtlety was never Tyrian’s strong suit.
Now, Tyrian has tracked down our friend Forrest, a man who was in the police vehicle when the ACE ops apprehended our team last chapter. Forrest, as we know of now, is just a regular guy caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. But I don’t think Tyrian is going to care very much. Killing him after finding what limited information he has is just gravy.
Yaaaaaaas, Queen
Now, onto our team’s upgrades.
Aside from Ruby’s more aerodynamic look, Crescent Rose also got an upgrade. It probably has been a long time since this fine weapon has had some fine tuning, what with Ruby always being on the road. And since Ruby makes all her upgrades herself, and it’s only been one episode, the only visual change to Crescent Rose is it is now able to rotate its scythe. Thus giving Ruby one less step to do when slaying Grimm. And the fact that the haircut is slightly reminiscent of bird feathers, much like her uncle’s hair, is so cute.
Weiss is looking like a fucking Winter Queen with her new look. If she doesn’t at some point use that ponytail braid as a weapon to slay Grimm, it would be such a waste. I don’t even care that she has so many unnecessary belts, she looks fire. Aside from her new outfit, Myrtenaster does not seem to have any visual upgrades. Since most of her fighting technique comes from her semblance, I’m looking forward to see if she develops any new skills. Especially now that Winter, her mentor, and Weiss are back together again.
Now that Blake has liberated the White Fang from Adam’s tyranny, as well as conquered some personal demons, Blake has undergone a big change. She chopped off her beautiful long hair, and now has a cute bob. It’s most likely symbolic of her being ready to stop hiding who she is and being more open with people. She also has a newly fixed Gambol Shroud, which has a very noticeable gold streak where the blade was once broken. I’m sure that the scientists could have rebuilt Gambol Shroud with no evidence that it was ever broken in the first place. Meaning that this was a cosmetic change that Blake specifically requested. Again, Bumbleby shippers have been waiting years for actual evidence of Blake and Yang’s feelings for one another. Good for them.
Of course, Yang is living her truth. She is wearing a jumpsuit with detachable pant legs and an aviator jacket. Now I feel the overwhelming urge to buy pants with detachable pant legs. Her prosthetic arm has gotten an upgrade too, now fitted with a matching Ember Celica, balancing out her whole look. But that wasn’t the only thing she got done.
Ember Celica is now capable of releasing small bombs, which Yang can activate from a safe distance. Of course, that means that Yang is toting around bombs on her wrists. Hopefully that doesn’t become a problem.
I went into what Jaune’s upgrades would be last time, but now we’ve seen him in action. His shield, Crocea Mors, now acts as a make shift para-glider, can expand to an even larger shield, and can release shock waves that can knock back large Grimm. Crocea Mors also magnetically attaches to his forearm, much like Pyrrha’s shield did. Ren’s dual pistols, Storm Flower, now has the ability to shoot the blades that are now attached cables, giving Ren the power to move more aerodynamically. There are no visual changes to Nora’s weapon, Magnhild, please leave a comment if I missed something there.
Aces Wild
Clover Ebi, he wields a sort of fishing rod that doubles as a hook sword. His semblance is Good Fortune, the exact opposite of Qrow’s semblance. Good things happen around him. Which did make me suspicious as to how his missed the Geist when he seems to have no problem aiming that fancy fish hook. Maybe it was simply a way to bring up his semblance, or he missed on purpose. Why? Maybe to allow his team an opportunity to flex their abilities and instill the fact that they’re supposed to be the good guys and can be trusted.
Harriet Bree, rocking the classic All Might bunny ear hair style, wears robotic gauntlets to fight hand to hand. But her main feature is her speed semblance. She runs so fast, she is literally charged full of electricity. She ran fast enough catch a falling piece of dust all the way on the other side of the cave, and delivered the final blow to the Geist. She is most likely based off of the Hare from the Tortoise and the Hare.
Vine Zeki, a more mysterious member of the ACE ops. He seems to be the no nonsense type, and doesn’t lay his cards on the table. He currently wields no weapons, relying on his semblance. He is able to project his aura and create elongated arms and hands. Very useful for getting around or holding onto struggling prey.
Elm Ederne, a very overzealous woman, who seems to have good intentions. She immediately befriends Ruby once the dust settles on their fight last chapter, and compliments Team JNR a few times too. She wields a giant hammer, and her semblance appears to be being able to literally plant herself like a tree. Her aura wraps around her feet and attaches to the ground beneath her, making her a somewhat immovable object. For a powerhouse like Elm, I’m sure her semblance makes her a tough opponent to fight.
Marrow Amin, a dog type Faunus who likes to put up a tough front but seems to actually be more puppy than wolf. Being the only Faunus on this elite team, I’m sure that he’s barely tolerated by the Atlas aristocrats. He is astutely aware of how his species are treated as subhuman, and are dispensable to the people in Atlas. But that doesn’t seem to affect his ability to do his duty. Marrow’s weapon is some sort of chainsaw boomerang-rifle. It does not obey the laws of physics. Nor does Marrow obey the laws of time. His semblance seems to be a form of time dilation. With a snap of his fingers, he froze two Grimm centipeetls in midair, but it only affected the Grimm. That must mean that his semblance has a certain range of effectiveness. But it’s still a really powerful semblance.
Agents Of Chaos
As the viewer, who knows just how dire the situation is, everything else seems small. When you see Whitely Schnee screwing over Weiss to get her spot as heir of the Schnee Dust Company, Jacques Schnee’s charade to be the top of the societal pyramid, and just the entirety of Atlas just seems so petty in the grand scheme of things. We are literally the brink of the end of the world. Do they really think Salem will care who has the most money, comes from the oldest family, or has the most dust if she gets all the Relics? We’re finally making some headway. They have two Relics (one in a vault), one Maiden (but still know who the Summer Maiden is), and a girl with the ability to turn Grimm into stone. Leaving us with Watts and Tyrian to worry about. The two of them will be stirring the pot in Mantle, while Atlas will probably be a big enough headache on their own.
If you made it to the end of this post, you are one very determined individual. Please leave a comment if I missed anything, got anything wrong, or if you have your own theories. I’d love to hear them.

Best Friends Forever Ch. 1
A Bellarke slow burn. I haven’t dabbled in fanfiction for about a decade, so this may be a little rough.
{Chapter 1} {Chapter 2} {Chapter 3} {Chapter 4} || {read on ffn} {read on ao3}
Gatorade.
Bellamy stared at the text message that interrupted his reverie. Every day during his lunch break, he hid away in his office to do some recreational reading. In a way it was cathartic. Teaching mythology to a bunch of uninterested college kids day in and day out really took a toll on him; aside from the fact that most of those students only took his class to fill their credits, he knew he didn’t have their respect. Having graduated only six months ago, his students were at most only 6 years younger than him and consequently regarded him more as a peer than as a professor. The number of young ladies knocking on his office door to ask for extra tutoring with insinuative winks and flirtatious giggles far outweighed the number of students who sought him out for real help.
Gatorade and saltines.
Gatorade and saltines and Coke.
Two more buzzes and he closed his book with a sigh. He picked his phone up and read the newest messages. A grocery list from his sister. He rolled his eyes to the ceiling and snorted a silent chuckle.
I told you you’d get sick. Should’ve worn your coat like I told you. It’s JANUARY, O.
Octavia was a grown woman, but he would always be her big brother and she would always be his responsibility. Their father walked out on them when they were too young to remember, and their mother worked her ass off to give them the best life she possibly could. But when Octavia was thirteen, their mother was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer. Bellamy started working at the library in the evenings and on weekends; when he graduated high school five months later, he got a promotion and a full-time position. After their mother died and a social worker tried to put Octavia into foster care, Bellamy took matters into his own hands. He met with an attorney, picked up a second job, and spent an entire weekend making repairs to both the inside and the outside of their house. The judge granted him custody, and he was able to take Octavia home. He was the only male figure in her life, as their mother chose to focus all of her energy and attention on them rather than dating, and so in a way he had always had a hand in raising her.
I’M not sick, jackass. Clarke is. If you’d rather come hold her hair back while she pukes, be my guest, and I’ll run to Walgreens.
But it wasn’t just the two of them. Octavia’s best friend Clarke had become a part of their family many years ago. The two girls had been friends since they met at a skating rink when they were ten years old. Clarke’s mother had gotten hired as a surgeon at the county hospital, so she and her fiancé, Marcus, packed everything up and moved across the state to start their new lives as a family. Octavia had skated right over to Clarke, who’d been standing alone in the corner, and pulled her by her hand out onto the rink. They skated together all evening, and by the time Bellamy told Octavia to change back into her sneakers to go home, the girls had become best friends.
Over the years, Clarke and Octavia became inseparable. Playdates turned into sleepovers. Sleepovers gradually lengthened from one night, to two, to eventually a week or two at a time over summer vacation. They were together for the good, the bad, and the ugly. And by default, Bellamy was also there. The older the girls got, the closer three of them became. The day Clarke turned 18, she threw all of her belongings into the bed of her old pickup and moved into the Blake residence. She and her mother hadn’t seen eye-to-eye for years, and naturally the Blakes, her chosen family offered to take her in.
Shit. Is she okay? Is it the flu? Has she checked her temperature? I’ll get something for a fever just in case. Better safe than sorry.
Relax, big bro. I have things under control here. Clarke’s in good hands.
Octavia, just last week I heard you suggest that Jasper treat a head cold with Dulcolax.
That boy has always been full of shit.
Bellamy chuckled and slipped his phone into his pocket. Hearing students start to file into his classroom, he grabbed his lecture notes and headed out of his office for his last class of the day.
***
“Gatorade. Saltines. Coke. Gatorade. Saltines. Coke.” Bellamy mumbled Octavia’s list to himself as he walked through the store, and added a “check” into the list as he dropped each item into his basket. Halfway to the cash register, a sign by the pharmacy pronouncing that it wasn’t too late to get a flu shot reminded him that he wanted to grab something for Clarke’s potential fever.
“Too many options,” he grumbled under his breath as he stared at an entire wall of cold and flu medications. A hundred different pills, liquids, teas, powders, and creams stared back at him. Fifteen minutes of reading packages and an internal debate about trying to get Clarke’s advice later, Bellamy finally decided on a box of Tylenol Cold + Flu and some Theraflu tea. He also decided that once Clarke was better, she would be selecting a variety of over-the-counter medications to keep at the house for the next time one of them got sick. After all, she was the pre-med student.
***
“O,” he called as he gently kicked the door shut behind him. One hand hung his keys on the hook by the door while the other hand deftly dropped his laptop bag onto the floor but kept the Walgreen’s bag looped over two fingers.
“Shh!” Octavia came scurrying around the corner with a finger to her lips. “She’s asleep. Poor girl’s been sick as hell all day. She skipped class this morning.”
That rang a note of concern in Bellamy. Clarke hadn’t missed any school since the day he met her. Though if his face showed any worry, Octavia didn’t notice. She was slipping her coat on and reaching for her purse on the entry table. “You’re leaving?”
“Yeah,” she said distractedly, digging through her purse to find her car keys. “Lincoln’s making me dinner, but I’ll be back after to help take care of Clarke so you can get some work done.”
He wrapped an arm around her shoulders in a half hug and told her to drive safe before she pulled the door shut behind her with a soft click. He kicked off his shoes and padded into the kitchen, grateful that his socks silenced the usual slapping sound of his feet hitting the tile floor. The bag rustled loudly in the silence of the house. He poured some of the Coke into a glass and left it sit on the counter to go flat.
***
Just over an hour later he glanced up at Clarke from his spot on the recliner, a finger holding his place in his book and his glasses perched on his nose. She was starting to stir. Her eyelids fluttered open and immediately the harsh lamplight assaulted her senses, causing her to groan and snap her eyes shut again.
“Sorry,” Bellamy whispered as he leaned over to flick off the lamp. He stood up slowly, being careful to minimize the creaking from the old recliner. His book fell between the armrest and the cushion, the page he was on completely forgotten. Walking around the coffee table, he leaned down and felt Clarke’s forehead with the back of his hand. “Definitely a fever,” he muttered. “Headache. Body aches too, I’m guessing?”
Clarke grunted in response and threw her arm over her eyes. The only light in the room came from the setting sun peeking through the blinds, but it was still too much for her tired eyes. She heard Bellamy’s soft footsteps retreating into the kitchen. Though she knew he was doing his best to keep quiet, the whisper of his jeans brushing against the kitchen floor sent an irritating pain through her ear and straight to the knot behind her eye.
“Take these,” Bellamy whispered. She peeked through one eye to see her best friend had returned. He was holding a glass of water in one hand and offering her two small yellow caplets in the other.
“Thanks,” she whispered, then tossed back the pills and chased them down with the water. She felt him lift her feet and slide down onto the end of the couch. “Miserable, Bell,” she whispered moments before sleep claimed her again.
“I know, princess,” he whispered back with a sigh. He pulled the blanket off the back of the couch and threw it over them, her ankles crossed and resting in his lap. He leaned his head back and watched her sleep for a few minutes before sleep claimed him as well.
***
He woke to a kick in his stomach as Clarke wrenched herself into a sitting position. Her head was nearly between her knees as she vomited into the trash can Octavia had grabbed from the bathroom and left beside the couch. Within seconds, Bellamy had pulled her hair away from her face and started rubbing soothing circles on her back.
When the dry heaves and post-vomit body spasms subsided, Bellamy leaned back into his corner so Clarke could lay down again. “Feeling any better?”
“Headache’s gone.” Her voice was raspy, but she was glad the sensitivity to light and sound was no longer a problem. “Just wish my stomach would settle now.”
“I may be able to help with that.” He stood slowly and gently laid her feet on the couch. He crossed into the kitchen with long, purposeful strides. “Flat Coke always works,” he called over his shoulder.
Clarke sat up and took a couple deep breaths, hoping the movement wouldn’t bring on another bout of vomiting. “Old wives’ tale.”
“I’d say homeopathic remedy. Old wives’ tales typically don’t have any truth to them. Flat Coke always works.” She took the glass from his hand and made a show of taking tiny sips, before he felt the need to remind her that ‘it only works when you sip it.’
Clark snorted and rolled her eyes. “There’s nothing homeopathic about Coke, Bellamy. And anyway, flat Coke is like a placebo. It’s purely psychological.”
“Then I’ll just take that glass back and you can wait for your immune system to do the job itself.” He reached out for the glass with no real intention of taking it from her, but she swatted his hand away just the same with a murderous glare in her eyes.
“You wanna die today, Blake?”
Bellamy chuckled and leaned back into his corner of the couch. “Get over here, Griffin. We should have enough time to watch an episode of How the Universe Works before O gets home.” He stretched his arm over the back of the couch and reached for the remote on the end table while Clarke snuggled into his side. She rested her head on his shoulder and pulled the blanket over both of them.
It was one of their favorite shows, but even it was no match for Clarke’s flu. The voices coming from the TV combined with the Tylenol that was still in her system lulled her to sleep before the first commercial break. Bellamy tilted his head to the side and peered down at his best friend. He wished there was more he could do to make her feel better. He always prided himself on how well he took care of his girls, but unfortunately the flu was just one of those things he couldn’t protect them from.
Clarke twisted a little in her sleep, subconsciously moving closer to Bellamy, and Bellamy’s body automatically twisted to accommodate her without his mind even registering it. He pulled the blanket up over her shoulder and gently laid his cheek against the top of her head.
***
Octavia expected Clarke to still be asleep when she got home. She tiptoed through the entryway and peeked into the kitchen. She had expected Bellamy to be cleaning up from dinner, but she saw neither a dirty dish nor her brother. Walking past the living room to creep down the hallway and check their bedrooms, a mop of black curls on top of the couch caught the corner of her eye.
She was not surprised to see her brother and her best friend sleeping together with a forgotten docuseries droning on the TV. This was a regular occurrence in the Blake household. She wasn’t even surprised to see them cuddling under the blanket Grandma Blake had made for Bellamy’s tenth birthday.
Back in the kitchen, she scribbled staying at Lincoln’s tonight, pizza tomorrow on me xo O on a sticky note before tiptoeing back out the front door and locking it behind her.

Diniy Jumari
(loml)
Finally, on everything that has ever happen in this life, will and must come to an end. I finally realised that all of this was just a story of how humans make mistake and how they foolish to think that this world are controlled by an another human being. But this particular story is about a boy who’s call, Diniy. There is a reason on every single thing that had and will happen(ed). He finally understands by what it means by, “ In God we trust, in God we have faith “. Nothing is really ever control by ownself. God is the one giving u ideas, will(s) to do something. God have his reasons for doing certain things and never ever question God choices. With a simple phrase like, “ If it’s not meant to be, it won’t be “ holds so many different meaning. All you have to do is see it in a different views. Sometimes things happened and human being can’t even explain why it really happened. Strange isn’t it? A normal human being could give every single thing he ever had or owned to a woman who he love. He gave basically everything, but still loses the girl. It’s not because the girl didn’t love him back or they don’t really love each other, but because the love that they share isn’t true love. What does it mean by true love? Human beings take “ True Love “ too lightly. True love is able to do wonders. It can make someone who almost completely anything for the one he really love. But even “ Google “ a place where one can actually get information on things, take “ True Love “ lightly. Google wrote that “ True Love “ means, true love; plural noun: true loves; noun: truelove; plural noun: true loves a person whom one loves."Rose is reunited with her true love, Arthur". So easy to say anyone who love something or someone is true love?
As for me, I do take true love lightly. I don’t really fall in love that easily but when I do, I really do fall hard. That’s one mistake that I will never ever learn from it. I used to have a few girls that i used to call mine. But the latest girl i love and called her mine, is the best i ever had. I can proudly says that she is the love of my life. She showed me what is like to give selfless love. She showed me that she is able to love me with her whole heart even if i didn’t show her that much attention. I did love her, i love her so hard but i still failed to make her happy, why? Because it wasn’t the love that she wanted. She’s been looking for the right love for years and every guy he met fails to show that to her. But still she stayed cos she thought she was happy and the love she wanted doesn’t exist. So she continue being in a relationship with me. Even when she didn’t receive the love she wanted from me and I did a stupid mistake by getting involve with something really dangerous. The thing which every parents ask their kids to stay away with. Yes that’s right. She still do something which I will never ever be thankful enough as this thing will haunt her for the rest of her mother fucking life. And with that, it made me realise that i’ve been neglecting her. Just like that I was blind to see that i lost her love for me even though she stayed by me. By saying that it was obvious that she didn’t really put much effort or even being there for me from that moments onwards. I was damaged, heartbroken and going nuts. But i was too in love with her and wanting her to see what i’ve done for her turn me into narrow minded person. I was too blind to see the obvious, which is not mending the heart that i destroy since the first time she ever been hurt by me. All I could see from my point of view is what all I’ve done and lost for her. I also could see what she’s sacrifice and do for me but what’s the point of seeing all this when I can’t see the main reason why she is not how she used to be. I saw something which i thought it was true love. Sacrifices that she made, cold crying night she spend alone watching me sleep. She was really hurt but still gave me so much love and attention. And at that very right moment, i thought that’s true love. But little did i realised it wasn’t. That’s not true love, that’s “ Selfless Love “. In case you guys are wondering what’s “ Selfless Love “ (someone love whole heartedly without loving themself, without any personal gain). Before she turn into someone so different that I really didn’t know that she could be, she brings herself nearer to religion and God. Even that, i was selfishly stupid enough to ask her not to be too deep in religion. The only reason why i asked her not to be too deep as i needed her attention the most on that very moment. Finally I came up with an idea to check her phone, wondering what i lack of that the new friend she made have. Little did i realised, she send all her latest photo to him first than to me. She ditches me for him when little did she know that i actually did plan a surprise for her on that particular day. I tried all ways to get her back but every effort i tried, i still fail to do so. I was losing my mind, how can I get back the girl i gave everything to? Little did i realised, she send all her latest photo to him first than to me. It can be quite petty for me to be jealous but that’s just human. Usually people will always send pictures to their partners first as u want to tell ur partners everything. I was sad, and in guard in case the friendship that they had goes to a whole new level. I’ve become insecure and annoyed her like how a typical insecurity person would. She kept assuring me that the guy she met is exactly like her. Too coincident or should i say too strange? One time, the girl would text the guy and talking and sending pictures of herself at the staircase. The guy was surprised as at that very moment the guy is also at the staircase. It was like they are made for each other. But the girl assure me that they wont be together as they have matured up and talk things like an adult would. They are so sure that they can put feelings aside and be just there for each other. As days goes by, they spend more and more time together. From sunset till dawn, or even in the afternoon. If you were to be me, you knew how the guy was but trying not to judge u kept quiet and let your girl spend time with him. Even when she just broke my trust I allowed her but i knew I was so insecure and feeling so sad. I really did tried not to ask her what time she’s going home and all as i know it’s pain in the ass and she just want her time alone with her friend. I still trust have full trust in her even when i said i don’t. Every time she after she met the guy, she is closer to leaving me. Not because she love him, she deny of having any feeling, but because he gave her things to think weather she is happy or not being with me. I was furious each time she tried to explain how she feels cause to me I am really trying my best to show u i’ve change and here you are always telling me I still didn’t change at all.
One fine day, she told me she had to leave and just find herself. Spend time with herself and pampered herself. I agree as I didn’t want anything else at that moment except for her to be happy. We become good friends and just video calling each other for hours and felt like its only been minutes. I was happy not because she left me but she finally had a true and good laugh, smile with me. I told her not to be in denial that she had feelings for the guy. Little did she know actually i was the one in denial and doesn’t want to know that she have feelings for him. Every night the guy went all the way to her place to meet and talk to hours. Each time they meet, without telling me I know feelings started to grow but they just didn’t any thing to destroy what they are having. Good time, good companion. Things become real, guilt start to kick in. She assume of me trying to do something bad to the guy just because I said I have a plan. Little did she know my plan was to keep on trying to fight for her because as cliche as it sounds but I do fight for the one I love. With the support from her friends and families asking me not to give up on trying to get her back, I’ve went full force. I then realised if you try to hard in anything, bad things will happen. On the same night, i told her i’ll wait for her to be home to talk to me (little did she knows that i enjoy doing this cause it reminds on the past where i have to wait for last bus then i can talk to her), she went home and didn’t inform me at all. I asked her why and she did made a point like why should she inform when me and her are no longer together. At that same moment, she become someone who she fear the most. You can imagine how bad it is but she is really at the worst stage she could possibly be. I tried to save her and be there fr her. She told her mom everything and when the mom knew, the mom whom love and dope me the most, ask me to leave her daughter alone. Tears start dripping, head start spinning. It gets harder and harder to breathe but i kept my cool as they say, if both loses it’s cool, all hell break loose. She cried and cried and finally have the energy and courage to tell me everything that i should need to know. And thats when I know she finally met and found the one that she’s been finding. The love she always wanted. As much as it hurts me, nor it makes me have suicidal thoughts, I pretended not to have any feelings and just tell her that I understand fully. She continues to tell everything even how she sound like when he say he love her. My heart was beating so fast that i thought i really gonne get a heart attack. I remember what she always tells me, not to react harshly whenever i received news that killing me. I then realised that i’ve loved too hard and always thought i could do things which only god can do. Love can’t be force nor it can always turn out the way u want it to be. True love is what this girl and boy is feeling. It came unexpectedly and u can’t really explain why they are so in love despite just knowing. Even when u love someone so much but it’s not meant to be, it wont be. True love is finally born. I have nothing else to do but to just walk away from everyone because it’s too much to take and i’ve given everything to this girl therefore I’m left with nothing. Nothing to have nor feel. Maybe the mom was right, this is what i deserve.. This is karma. Even my own bank tried to close down my acc as it’s been empty for awhile. I really have nothing else. What i gave in the end was selfless love, while she give and receive true love from the guy. I tried to make her go to me, instead i was being ditch 3 days straight. Everything happen for a reason, so i tried once again to win her heart but I’m not surprise that she had ignore me once again. Now at this very moment, i tried asking for one less chance before I’m gone for good. I guess i’ve given her too much pain till she didnt have any chances to give at all.
It’s alright everything happens for a reason. Maybe the reason for all this to happen is that we can finally see who stays and who didn’t. Because of drugs, people are willing to do anything. People to find their soul partner and truelove was found. That’s just sad, in my opinion we human being worth more than just a substance. Therefore I shall prove to everyone that I, Diniy can and will stop all this once and for all.
If only I’m there right now, i would hug you, kiss you and i would have provide you with endless love.
“ In God we trust, In God we have faith “
” If it meant to be, it will be.”
Ps : Z.D, you’re all i ever wanted.

A Sonata for a Root Vegetable ~ A Growing Love Story in Nine GIFs and 1,000+ Words
@darthvoldemaul
“You’re one of my favorite people in the whole wide world; you know that?” Danny prefaces one day while they’re hanging out at Spatola’s.
“Right back at you,” Rhett replies, scratching his chin and leaning back against the green cushion of the booth. “But?”
“But are you ever gonna break the ice and actually talk to her?”
“Who?”
Danny gives him a look and tosses a crumpled napkin at his face.
“You know who, dude.”
Rhett rolls his eyes even though his crooked smile belies this feigned annoyance.
“For the last time, I do not have ‘a thing’ for your lady friend’s best friend.”
“Lies.”
“I don’t. I mean she’s cute or whatever, I guess, but I don’t even know her.”
“You could, if you’d just let me put in a good word.”
“Nah, that’s even worse. I can do my own flirting, man, when I want to.”
“Nola says you just get this really intense look on your face and then sorta walk away all broody.”
“Did she tell her that?”
“No. Nola saw you guys pass each other outside Farley’s.”
“Then she also saw that her friend didn’t even look my way, so it’s all good. Doesn’t matter what my face is doing if it’s just your girlfriend and Butter the Cat watching me through the bookshop window. Her bestie didn’t notice a thing.”
Danny folds his arms and looks away. “I wouldn’t be so sure...,” he mumbles cryptically.
“Why? What’d she say? Did she mention me to you guys?”
Danny’s expression breaks into a broad grin and he cackles triumphantly.
“Busted! You do give a shit. I called it!”
Rhett slumps sideways and groans loudly.
“I hate you.”
As the months go by and Danny and Nola start spending more time together, so too do their friend groups. “Groups” is being used a little loosely here since Nola really only has a couple of friends her own age. However, this only means that there are even less people standing as physical buffers between Rhett and The Girl.
The absence of Rhett’s A-Game is reaching such a level that it is even starting to be noticed by the (albeit unintentionally) oblivious. It took Marty three years to discover her best friend and roommate was in love with her and even she can discern something is up with her shaggy sidekick.
“You okay, Rhettro Chic?” Marty asks one night at a party, eyeing him over her glass. “You’re being all quiet. It’s weird.”
Vanessa, who is seated at the table with them, follows Rhett’s line of sight and figures out whose gaze has left him flummoxed. Mercifully, she uses her very recent upgrade to girlfriend status to distract the other young woman from this line of inquiry. Nessa presses her lips to Marty’s ear and murmurs what Rhett can only assume is a request to dance, given that they start making their way toward the floor.
As they cross the room, Vanessa gives Rhett a pointed look over her shoulder and tilts her head toward where Danny, Nola, and her friend are standing. Rhett gives her a grateful nod in return. If he is finally going to do this thing, love her though he does, Rhett really does not need Marty’s encouraging whistles and calls echoing after him.
He downs a gulp of his beer and strides determinedly toward the far corner. Danny sees his friend’s approach and gets a knowing look in his eye. After a little idle chitchat, Danny uses his best goofy smile and dance moves to coax Nola away with him so Rhett will have his opportunity.
Somehow, just like that, it feels like Danny has found a way to make this all easier on Rhett without directly interfering. Now, if he speaks to Nola’s friend, Rhett will seem like he's sparing her the awkwardness of being left behind as a third wheel. There can even be an unspoken commiseration over their current third wheel-iness. Rhett turns to face this fellow “single Pringle” and manages a smile that almost doesn’t look nervous at all.
“So, how’ve you been?”
Progress has been made, it’s fair to say, although they're still very much in the friendly acquaintance stage. Even so, it’s nice to be able to exchange subtle nods of greeting across South Main Street. Danny has other ways of reaching the bookshop if he were so inclined, but he conveniently keeps asking Rhett for a ride to make sure his best bud will be in the right place at the right time. Not wanting to be too obvious, Rhett always busies himself afterward by entering other nearby shops as if he’s come this way to run errands. Much to his delighted surprise, there comes one afternoon when Nola’s friend uses this to her advantage. Rhett comes back to find a scrap of notebook paper with seven digits tucked under his windshield wiper.
Call me sometime - S.
“So your friend Marty always addresses you by a nickname?”
“Sorta. I don’t know if it really counts as a nickname when she tries to steer clear of repeats so it’s never the same. More like name puns? Play on words or whatever.”
“Gotcha. I’m gonna give you one for your contact in my phone. It’s like Rheumatologist, Rhinocerous, stuff like that?”
“Nah, that’s more like that Benedict guy who played the dragon fr--”
“Got it! I’m texting you a screenshot.”
“...Rutabaga Wickerchair. You’re pretty proud of that one, aren’t you?”
“Taking my bows as we speak. I brought it up a level ’cause your last name’s in it now, too.”
“All right, two can play at that game. Check your messages.”
“Symphony OldMacDonald. That is... something special.”
“Hey, it’s a closer match than Rutabaga.”
“Debatable.”
“A coffee date. Very conventional. And very not you.”
“What can I say? I’m a man of mystery. Gotta keep you on your toes.”
"Sure, Jan. C’mon, spill it. What’s going on, Scruffleupagus? You’re up to something; I know it. This wouldn’t happen to be one of your collaborative effort pranks, would it?”
“Dunno. Guess you’ll have to wait in suspense and find out.”
“Gonna keep your secrets to the last, huh? All right. But I’m on to you.”
“Scruffle Shuffle!”
Rhett cleans the cheese dust off his fingers with meticulous care, pretending not to hear.
“Rhett!”
He tilts back his head, catching the remaining bag crumbs in his mouth. Rhett gives no indication that he has seen her waving.
“Pardon me... Handsome!”
Rhett smiles in spite of himself but keeps up the act that he hasn’t noticed her prior to this moment.
“Oh hey, Syd.”
“Y’know, strictly speaking, we’re not allowed to bring outsiders back here.”
“Funny, of the two of us, I’d have said you're the one who favors the Ponyboy aesthetic.”
“Har-dee-har. You know the kind I mean.”
“Non-delinquents?”
“Uh, yeah, something like that.”
“They’re right to be wary, y’know.”
“’Cause I’m such a bad influence?”
“No, ’cause I am. I throw a mean bash, mister. Gimme a box of rinse cups, some AA batteries, and a little dry ice and I could put this place on the social map in a night.”
“A regular Party MacGyver, eh?”
“Damn straight.”
“I’d better not let The Powers That Be know you’re here, then.”
“You’re gonna protect me from your scary headmistress?”
“Yup.”
“Risking life and limb for your lady fair?”
“Yeah or, y’know, like a month’s detention.”
“And they say chivalry is dead.”
“This is where you wanted to show me? One of the piers under the bridge?”
“Yup, this is the one.”
“Interesting. Why this place? What makes it special?”
“I don’t know. It’s quiet, I guess.”
“Yeah. Or it was, ’til you brought me out here.”
“Hmm... The water does seem weirdly still. Even the semis don’t scare off the fish, but they sure heard you coming.”
“Watch yourself, Studly, or I’m gonna help you get intimately acquainted with the Delaware.”
A handful of the academy kids are sitting with Nola and her friends around a bonfire on the shoreline. On a log by themselves near the far side of the circle, Syd and Rhett scuff sand onto the ends of each other’s shoes and make shadow puppets in the flickering glow from the flames.
“Crap, outta juice again,” Marty whines a little louder than necessary and tilts her Solo cup with an exaggerated flip of the wrist.
“There are a few Mike’s left in the cooler,” Nola points out.
Marty pretends to consider them but wrinkles her nose. “The ice has gotten melted from being too close to the fire.”
“I’ll get you a cold one from the spare supply in the truck,” Vanessa volunteers.
“Aww, thanks, babe. You’re the best.” Marty gives her a peck on the cheek and they discretely exchange a conspiratorial wink.
Things go back to normal for a minute or two until Marty’s cell phone suddenly blares. The ringtone is so loud that everyone around the bonfire jumps about half a foot.
“Sha la la la la la! Don't be scared. You better be prepared. Go on and kiss the girl!
Marty puts a hand to her chest and gives an exaggerated laugh.
“Oh, that must be my talent manager. Excuse me. I really have to take this.”
She sweeps away into the darkness with the phone pressed to her ear, kicking Rhett’s shin rather sharply as she passes. He winces and rubs the leg of his jeans but, when he sits upright again, Syd is watching him. Did she glance at his lips just then or was it a trick of the light?
