there are no spoilers for the new routes below - i only discuss the last chapter of Volume 1

im just saying but it's not exactly the best of all words for the Unseelie where their king requires to ask a perfect stranger with zero spy expertise to do this for him (though he does think that we are at least established in the seelie kingdom, which would help a lot, to be fair)

this is a very dangerous and delicate mission and MC is absolutely not well-equipped to do this. In any case they are not well-equipped, but in the specific case in-game, they are not ONLY not well equipped, but also up against a man who is an EXCELLENT spy and who has been doing it for literally centuries.

as keagan says in this ask, the unseelie NEED someone to be in his position. they just do not have anyone who fits the bill.

which is an awful shame, because if flan hadn't broken keagan's heart, they could have-

It's just as Flannán said in another ask, why would the Unseelie Court need a master of secrets at all if they're by the people for the people?

We have no need to "bamboozle" or otherwise mislead anyone about the Unseelie traitors; they've shed enough innocent blood that many among the Seelie have just cause to be wary of the peace. Just because someone says they have no secrets doesn't mean they actually have no secrets, mo chara. The most guilty are usually among the first to declare how innocent they are.

As for why they have no position equivalent to my own, I assure you, it is due to a lack of resources and competency, not need.
