Fear of Wheelchair Flying
My fear of wheelchair flying, the fear of traveling by air as a person who is in a wheelchair because there is a common that they damage their wheelchairs.

Disabled people should be allowed to travel in comfort just like everyone else. Idc if their wheelchair "takes up space" or if them using the airport transport service makes you jealous. Idc if you get mad bc they got to be seated first even though you paid a lot for your seat. I don't care if you think they are some TikTok influencer pretending to be disabled. I literally don't give a fuck. That person has a right to be there just as much as you do. Mind your own fucking business.

DO YOU WANNA HELP YOUR DISABLED NEIGHBORS?
Rake up the wet leaves before we eat shit on the sidewalk! Your city or town should be doing it, but why would they??

hmmm cherik time travel stuff
young cherik (xmfc) get sent to the future in place of their older selves (X2)
uhh pretty much X2 but its young cherik from the past
maybe young cherik met a mutant on their roadtrip who sent them to the future for reasons? idk
anyway Charles waking up in the mansion but immediately getting bombarded with many young mutant thoughts
Erik waking up in prison 😔
Charles bumping into the Xmen, everyone is very confused until Jean goes “it’s the professor!”
cue more confusion
Charles explaining what happened before he got to the future saying he was with Erik
the Xmen explain magneto is in jail
Charles is a bit shocked
uhh cue more plot stuff till they break Erik out of jail
stryker attacks the mansion
Logan is also here
Charles somehow gets kidnapped? dunno how that happened
Erik meets older Mystique
blah blah blah they save Charles from stryker
other nonsense happens
they figure out how to get back to the past but they wake up in different places from when they left
turns out older cherik got sent to the past 🤯
idk this is all i got but i like time travel 😁

One year ago today I was exploring Colorado with my best friend. 🐢
This is your friendly reminder that you can and should use whatever mobility aid suits your needs in the moment. And it is okay if those needs shift over the day. Medications, temperature, pain levels, fatigue, unsteadiness, inaccessibility. These are all very valid reasons why your needs could potentially change.
So rock that cane, then switch to your wheelchair when you need. Or go out with your wheelchair early in the day so you can be in less pain when you go to an inaccessible venue later and have to use either your cane or rollator.
Having a dynamic disability can be difficult to explain to others and I definitely understand the fear you feel. We will just have to be brave together.

Video description:
Cory, a man who uses a powered wheelchair, addresses the camera from an airport. He wears a gray hoodie and jeans and his legs are crossed. He shows off a Wheelchair Survival Toolkit, a small rolled-up fabric toolkit in black. The Toolkit is unfolded to show some of the tools inside, including hex keys, pliers, and tape. Cory finishes the video from a different location in the airport.
Transcript:
"This is the Wheelchair Survival Toolkit. It has all of the tools you would need if your wheelchair is damaged by an airline. It's got everything from hex keys to screwdrivers to duct tape to zip tis, all kinds of products. It easily went through security this morning so it didn't have any issues at all and now, I'm getting ready to board my flight. "The Wheelchair Survival Toolkit easily unfolds so that it can stay in a compact space. It also hangs easily on the back of my power wheelchair. This enables me to travel with peace of mind.""The Wheelchair Survival Toolkit easily unfolds so that it can stay in a compact space. It also hangs easily on the back of my power wheelchair. Comment I saw in relation to American Airlines incident: If you don’t work ramp agent you can’t talk.
Me: oh fuck no if you’ve never had to deal with five different damage incidents in under 3 months than you sure as hell don’t get to dictate my feelings.
My scooters been damaged twice, my wheelchair despite the protective case has also been damaged twice, and my walker once.
All in under a year.
Fuck you and your buddies lack of empathy for laughing at us while we have to deal with our equipment repeatedly because y’all think our lives are a joke.
You and your buddies are the ones that need to sit down and shut up. Because y’all damaging thousands of dollars in equipment because you think our lives are some joke is so insensitive
Yall need sensitivity training

EU WHEELCHAIR USERS 🇪🇺
— new Eurostar policy! 🩵
From the 5th of november onward, Eurostar has created a set price for a wheelchair user and one (adult) compagnion! And it does not inflate!
E.G.: 1 way from Antwerp to Amsterdam, Paris, Germany, etc. is 29 euros per person! London is 44 euros which is still an insanely good price!
Tumblr media
+ you’re travelling in their highest class, I even got food on the train to Amsterdam and back + their lounge 👀
I’m not sponsored or anything??? I am just so excited to be accomodated on my favorite kind of train + with booking assistance made this trip insanely smooth 🩵
Reblog to help rollers wheelie around all of Europe!

Quick question for people with disabilities that require a walking aid or my fellow ambulatory wheelchair users. I really want to travel more and me and my family are thinking of booking a holiday for next Christmas but as I'm sure many of you are aware of alot of the world simply isn't accessible for wheelchair users or disabilities in general. So I've been thinking of investing in a walking aid but the issue I'm having is would it be better to get a cane or a crutch? I was hoping anyone might have some advice on this choice maybe share some advice from their own experience?
Have a happy new year! 🎉
Also, if anyone has any advice on travelling as a disabled person, it is greatly welcomed

This is nothing short of disgusting and criminal, airlines are already enough but this?! This is a awful yet clear example that airlines don't care about consumers but profit above all, they don't care if you're a disabled person forced to crawl on the ground like an animal. All because it's not in their policy, just imagine how worse it would be without the meager regulations we still have?

I agree with Mustang using the philosopher stone on his eyes (and Havoc on his legs) makes sense for his character and the narrative etc etc.
But also consider this: If he is blind for a little longer than a couple hours he gotta hold hands with Hawkeye 🥺👉👈

All of the 'walkable' cities in my area have bumps, cracks, blocked sidewalks, random stairs, and a lack of benches.
They are also consistently rated 'most walkable' in my state. My friend in a wheelchair cannot navigate those cities. I struggle to walk around those cities, even as a cane user.
I would like to add 'most wheelable' and 'most sitable' city polls to the walkability question because I cannot visit my family in the city without nearly faceplanting down the stairs and losing all use of my legs
